  • Good morning, brethren.

    1. Our morning prayer focuses on "Daily consecration."

    2. Do you seek God? Part1.

    3. Do you know the power of united prayer?

    4. Who is your Father?

To know more, read the message below:

    1. Morning Prayer

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, [which is] your reasonable service. ⏤ Romans 12:1

Let every step be a ministry for Him, every task a consecration. ⏤ J.R. Miller

Almighty God, our heavenly Father, look upon us graciously as we wait at Your feet. Receive our thanks for the goodness of another night, and accept this consecration of our lives to You for another day. We are Your own children, and we will trust You for all that our lives need. We will strive to obey You. We shall need Your grace in order to do Your will—and we ask You to give us grace that we may be faithful and dutiful children.

Enable us to do our simplest tasks for You as carefully as if they were the largest and most sacred ministries that mortal is ever set to do. May we find our Father's business . . .
    In our household chores,
    In our school duties,
    In our play and recreation,
    In our everyday jobs.

May we learn to do all in the name of the Lord Jesus and for Him.

All around us are those who need kindnesses which we can render. May You give us so much of the Spirit of Jesus, that we shall go about doing good all the day. Even while engaged at our ordinary work, may we be so filled with divine love, that we shall give help and cheer to all we meet by our cheerful manner, by our encouraging words, and by our thoughtful kindnesses. May our wayside ministry, as we move along at our work, be a ministry of continual blessing.

Draw us now near to You, and give us the touch of Your hand before we go out. If we should never all come together again as a family, if death should call any of us home before the nightfall, let us not be separated in the heavenly home. Let us not fall by the way into any sin. Mercifully preserve us from all evil. And may grace, mercy, and peace be with us all forever. Amen.

    2. MORNING TEA. THE WORD FOR TODAY
    WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 24, 2025.
    "SEEKING GOD (1)"
‘Wise men…came…saying, “Where is He…?”’ Matthew 2:1-2 NKJV

NOTICE TWO things about the wise men: 1) Who they were. Astrologers. Jews considered astrology to be a counterfeit to true prophecy. Be careful; there are people whose lifestyles you may disapprove of, who are honestly seeking God. So be gracious in your dealings with them. The Greek philosophers on Mars Hill had a pantheon of gods. Was Paul shocked or put off? No. He commended them for being willing to search for God, adding, ‘He is not far from each one of us’ (Acts 17:27 NKJV). Don’t jump to conclusions and write people off. In God’s eyes every weed is a potential rose and every loser is a potential winner. And you should be glad about that! 2) How far they travelled. They left their families and the comforts of home to travel hundreds of miles in order to find God. Their round-trip journey took two years, and ended in a Jewish village where they were cultural outcasts. Meanwhile, leaders who had access to the prophecies of Christ’s birth wouldn’t expend the time and effort to check them out. We often quote Jeremiah chapter 29, verse 11: ‘“The plans I have for you,’’ says the Lord… “are plans for good…to give you a future and a hope.”’ But don’t stop there, read on: ‘When you pray, I will listen. If you look for Me wholeheartedly, you will find Me’ (vv. 12-13 NLT). Poet Julie Carro wrote, ‘Now wise men still seek His face as they did in days of old; to give the Lord their hearts, more precious than silver and gold.’ How far are you prepared to go in your search for God?

    *THE POWER OF UNITED PRAYERS*

    *TEXT:* ACTS 12:12-19.

12 And when he had considered the thing, he came to the house of Mary the mother of John, whose surname was Mark; where many were gathered together praying.
13 And as Peter knocked at the door of the gate, a damsel came to hearken, named Rhoda.
14 And when she knew Peter's voice, she opened not the gate for gladness, but ran in, and told how Peter stood before the gate.
15 And they said unto her, Thou art mad. But she constantly affirmed that it was even so. Then said they, It is his angel.
16 But Peter continued knocking: and when they had opened the door, and saw him, they were astonished.
17 But he, beckoning unto them with the hand to hold their peace, declared unto them how the Lord had brought him out of the prison. And he said, Go shew these things unto James, and to the brethren. And he departed, and went into another place.
18 Now as soon as it was day, there was no small stir among the soldiers, what was become of Peter.
19 And when Herod had sought for him, and found him not, he examined the keepers, and commanded that they should be put to death. And he went down from Judaea to Caesarea, and there abode.

*Timeless Truth:*_"Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven"_ (Matthew 18:19).

    *INTRODUCTION*

The longest recorded prayer or intercession of Jesus for the Church is on the unity of the Church as recorded in John 17. He prayed for saints to experience the sanctification experience that will make the unity a reality. While *"the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous avails much"*, the power of two or more saints coming together in united prayer is more awesome. In fact, while one can chase a thousand, two can chase ten thousand (Deuteronomy 32:20). Strategically, it is in the interest of Satan and his cohorts to fight against the unity of the saints through different means because the unity of the saints will always bring a fast defeat of his kingdom. Believers, Christians families, churches etc. are hereby called upon to be *"endeavoring to keep the unity of the saints in the bond of peace"* (Ephesians 4:3) so as to enjoy the awesome power of united prayers as they did in the text.

    *1. United Persistent Praying*

    a. Herod, having successfully, slain James with the sword, decided to put Peter in his next hit list. If he could also kill Peter, he could have succeeded in weakening and possibly decimating the Church of Christ. But he was mistaken. The Church was with one mind at that time and Satan cannot prevail against the fervent prayers of united saints, no matter how few. Peter was delivered miraculously. What was the secret of this great deliverance of the enemies of the No.1 target? *"And when he had considered the thing, he came... to the house of Mary...where many were gathered together praying"*. The content shows that these prayers were in the night like a vigil and women were there. Women have their special places in the ministry, of which the major is the ministry of prayer, which may not be noticed on earth, but is specially reconciled and rewarded in heaven. There are many cases of ministers and churches of which the spiritual power of intercession for them resides in the women's ministry. Furthermore, praying in the night is also a prayer that demands discipline and sacrifice which heaven cannot deny. It is in the night a lot of spiritual transactions take place; and praying in the night will have a direct havoc on the kingdom of darkness. For example, the enemy (satanic cohorts) that sow seeds of evil and destruction do that in the night according to the parable of Jesus (Matthew 13:25). Depriving oneself some hours of sleep on the altar of prayer is a proof of the seriousness concerning the prayer points in question. *"Behold, bless ye the LORD, all ye servants of the LORD, which by night stand in the house of the LORD"* (Psalm 134:1).
    b. There is unlimited power in prayer and this power becomes more effectual when two or more saints agree on those prayer points. *"Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven"* (Matthew 18:19).

    *Question*

How often do you offer the prayer of agreement persistently until the answer comes?

    *2. Unbelievable Power of Prayer*

    a. Their coming together to pray was founded on the belief that God answers prayers and there is nothing impossible for Him to do. They believed that their prayers could turn the tide around and get Peter released. So they persistently prayed with faith. As expected, when they saw the clear answers to prayer they rejoiced. *"And when she knew Peter's voice, she opened not the gate for gladness, but ran in, and told how Peter stood before the gate"*. Where there is no unity of purpose in prayer, some would rejoice at the answer to prayer, while some would be indifferent or even sad. It is better to pray individually as a righteous person than to pray in the midst of a disunited, divided and striving so-called saints.
    b. Though they were united in prayer, they did not expect the prayer to be answered so fast as they saw. When they heard of the testimony, it was at first difficult for them to believe. *"And they said unto her, Thou art mad. But she constantly affirmed that it was even so. Then said they, It is his angel"*. When it was clear that it was the Peter they had been praying for they were very surprised. *"But Peter continued knocking: and when they had opened the door, and saw him, they were astonished"*. When praying the prayer of agreement with someone or people of the same mind on the issue, expect a miraculous answer that is beyond human imaginations. When there is prayer of agreement backed up with consistency and sacrifice, incredible things will manifest in an incredible way with incredible speed. *"For with God, nothing shall be impossible."* Apart from unity among saints praying together, there must also be unity with God. The prayers must agree with God's promises, purpose and plan and not just to fulfil personal, human or selfish agenda.

    *Question*

Can you recall Bible cases and personal cases where corporate prayers of agreement produced supernatural answers in a speedy manner?

    *3. Unlimited Possibilities and Promises*

    a. All the disciples knew at this time that it was God that delivered Peter miraculously from death. However, a lot of miracles were involved in this miracle of deliverance to show that it could only be God and to demonstrate the power of corporate and united prayers. Peter was tied with chains in-between soldiers who must be awake and never allow Peter to escape. An angel entered the prison and none could see the angel except Peter. The angel removed the chains and none of the soldiers knew or heard anything though they were in watchfulness mode. The angel also took Peter through three gates including an iron gate. Nobody saw or heard anything. It was a multifaceted miracle that manifested in a single deliverance of Peter. At times, there may be multi-miracles attached to the desired miracle and therefore, it may take corporate prayers of like minded people to produce the needed results. This underscores the importance of corporate, persistent prayer of faith. A single and seemingly simple prayer point may require God dealing with different situations and people for the result to be out. Hence, Jesus exhorted, *"men ought always to pray and not to faint"*.
    b. The prayer was in line with God's purpose and promises for Peter because his ministry from the Lord was not fully fulfilled. Furthermore, the promises of God covered him. *"As soon as it was day, there was no small stir among the soldiers, what was become of Peter"*. It was impossible for them to have an explanation of how Peter escaped with all the heavy impregnable security surrounding Peter. The security team were all summarily killed. *"And when Herod... examined the keepers, and commanded that they should be put to death"*. This is in line with God's promises for the faithful children. *"Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life"* (Isaiah 43:4). When praying, always put your eyes and mind on the promises that suit your requests and you will always discover that God is faithful to His promises for His faithful and believing children.

    *Question*

Do you always use the promises of God in your prayers?

    *Prayer Points*

    a. Ask for the Spirit of true unity to rest on your family and on the brethren .
    b. Pray that God will make you an agent of scriptural unity and not be used for disunity .
3.Ask for the power of prayer and faith that will not be denied at any time .
4.Ask God to visit His Church and destroy the heart and activities of the wicked causing disunity in the Church and families .

TOPIC: LET GOD BE YOUR FATHER

    MEMORISE:
"And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty." - (2 Corinthians 6:18)

    BIBLE READING: GALATIANS 4:4-7 (KJV)

4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,

5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

    MESSAGE:
In Matthew 15:21-28, Jesus said, "I cannot give the children's bread to dogs." This means that a person is either God's child or a dog. Children have fathers, while dogs have masters. Children can walk up to their fathers anytime to ask questions and make requests, but dogs cannot. While a child can sit with his or her father on the dining table to eat, a dog usually sits under the table to eat crumbs. Such dogs will go hungry if there are no crumbs. If you have not yet surrendered your heart to Jesus, you are not yet God's child, and now is the best time to turn to Him and allow Him to become your Father.

God has numerous names; He is the King of kings and Lord of lords (Revelation 19:16), He is the Almighty (Job 23:16), and He is the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last (Revelation 22:13). Despite all His names, when Jesus taught us to pray in Luke 11:1-2, He said that we should start by saying, "Our Father". The name God loves to be called the most is Father. As Father, God is our source and sustainer; He is our helper. No responsible father will see his children suffering and leave them to continue to suffer.

When I was a child, I often followed my father to his farm. We always had to cross a particular river on our way back, and occasionally, the river overflowed its banks. Whenever this happened, it would sweep the bridge that was built across the river away. On one occasion that this happened, my father picked me up and carried me across the river on his shoulders because I was too small to walk on the riverbed and not be swept away by the currents. While he was walking through the river, I was playing with the water because I was on his shoulder. If an earthly father can do everything to protect his child, how much more our heavenly Father?

Beloved, if you are already a child of God and are experiencing challenges that are currently testing your faith, hold on to God; He is a loving Father, and He will surely see you through and bring you to an expected end (Jeremiah 29:11). If you are, however, yet to surrender your life to Him and you want to experience His special love and care, then accept His invitation to become His child today, and you too will enjoy peace on all sides, in Jesus' name.

    REFLECTION:
Is God really your Father? Have you surrendered your life to Him?

*Question* Do you always use the promises of God in your prayers? *Prayer Points* a. Ask for the Spirit of true unity to rest on your family and on the brethren 🙏. b. Pray that God will make you an agent of scriptural unity and not be used for disunity 🙏. 3.Ask for the power of prayer and faith that will not be denied at any time 🙏. 4.Ask God to visit His Church and destroy the heart and activities of the wicked causing disunity in the Church and families 🙏. *HYMN:* Sweet Hour of Prayer *BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:* REVELATION 1-3. Buy the truth and sell it not. Your eternity and holiness is not for sale. 4. OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL DATE: WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 24TH 2025 TOPIC: LET GOD BE YOUR FATHER MEMORISE: "And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty." - (2 Corinthians 6:18) BIBLE READING: GALATIANS 4:4-7 (KJV) 4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, 5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. 6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. 7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ. MESSAGE: In Matthew 15:21-28, Jesus said, "I cannot give the children's bread to dogs." This means that a person is either God's child or a dog. REFLECTION: Is God really your Father? Have you surrendered your life to Him?
