Revelation prophesied this exodus in the symbol of a faithful woman, who represents God's true church. This woman, "persecuted" (12:13) by the dragon through papal Rome, fled "into the wilderness" during "a time and times and half a time" (v.14), the same 1,260 years of papal supremacy. Thus, the prey escaped the predator, and the most notable republic in the world was born. In 1776, the United States declared its independence. It established its own rule of law, the Constitution (1787) and the Bill of Rights (1791). By 1798, simultaneous with the head wound to the Roman Church, the nations of Europe recognized the United States as an independent world power, one built on TWO UNIQUE PRINCIPLES REPRESENTED BY the earth beast's two-lamb-like horns: (Rev. 13:11) ... REPUBLICANISM, a government without a king, and PROTESTANTISM, a church without a pope. ( The two lamb like horns in verse 13:11 represented the 2 principles America was founded on..) 1) We were a republican Nation ~ we had a constitution had, had had.... and 2) we were blessed by God for being a Protestant nation) The United States became the standard bearer of freedom of conscience and embodiment of the separation of church and state--all that the Roman Catholic Church was not. THE IMAGE OF THE BEAST!!! But the Bible makes a surprising prediction: AMERICA WILL FALL AWAY FROM ITS FOUNDING PRINCIPLES and advocate for the sea beast, (Papacy) the very power the Founding Fathers resisted. Revelation 13:12-15 has a few key take aways: A. The United States forms "an image to the beast" (Rome) This is not a statue; rather, "an image"is a "representation" or "RESEMBLANCE." Hence, an "image of the beast"(v.15) will be a religiopolitical power that look, speaks, and AND ACTS LIKE THE PAPACY!!! B. The image of the beast will use a combination of deception (v.14) and coercion (v.15) to achieve universal worship of the papacy (vv.12,15). C. The ultimate power behind the transformation of the United States is the dragon, Satan, who extends his "authority" (v.12) from the sea beast to the earth beast (v.4). According to the Bible, the United States will one day LOOK, SPEAK, AND ACT LIKE THE PAPACY. FACT: During the 1,260 years, the little horn "[persecuted] the saints of the Most High" (Daniel 7:25). During this period of papal supremacy, dubbed the Dark Ages, the Catholic Church labeled as heretics those who followed the Word of God over its own doctrines and, sources state, it condemned more than 50 million people to death.

St. Stephen of Hungary St. Stephen was from a very noble family and was born in the year 997 to father Prince Geza and mother Sarolt of Hungary. He married Giselle, the daughter of Duke Henry-Ii of Bavaria. He took very sincere efforts to spread Christianity and extended patronage to Church leaders. St. Stephen was anointed as king of Hungary by Pope Sylvester-II on the Christmas day in the year 1001, with the consent of the Holy Roman Emperor Otto-III. St. Stephen dedicated his crown to Holy Mary, during the coronation. His only son Emeric died after being wounded in a hunting expedition in the year 1031. Therefore St. Stephen was having no son left to rule his Kingdom. So in his death bed he raised the Holy Crown by his right hand and prayed to the Holy Mary to take the Hungarians as Her subjects and to become the Queen of Hungarians. He died on August 15, 1038, on the commemoration day of the Assumption of Mary. St. Stephen's right hand is kept as a relic and is called as the "Holy Right" by Hungarians. His right hand remains uncorrupted due to the reason that with this hand he raised the Holy Crown towards heaven and prayed to the Virgin Mary. The right hand is now in the Basilica of King Saint Stephen in Budapest. He is venerated as the patron saint of masons, stone cutters and brick layers. St. Maximilian Mary Kolbe St. Maximilian Mary Kolbe was born on January 8, 1894 in Poland, to father Julius Kolbe and mother Maria Dabrowska. He joined the Franciscans in 1907 and ordained as a priest in 1918. He founded a movement devoted to Our Lady and spread this movement through a magazine named "The Knight of the Immaculate". He was arrested by Nazis on February 17, 1941 and sent to the concentration camp at Auschwitz. He was singing hymns to the Virgin Mary in the concentration camp without any fear. He was tortured in the Nazi concentration camp without giving any food, water and other facilities for more than two weeks. When another person was due to be killed on a particular day, that man started crying" my wife, my children". Then Maximilian volunteered to take the place of that man to die, to save that poor man. He was killed by giving carbolic acid injection. He died on August 14, 1941. A cure from intestinal tuberculosis to one Angela Testoni in July, 1948 and also a cure from calcification on the arteries/sclerosis were attributed to the intervention of St. Maximilian. He was beatified in 1971 by Pope Paul-VI and canonized by Pope John Paul-II on October 10, 1982. The wicked empire violently silenced their earthly voices... But they died as absolutely glorious witnesses, proving to a watching world that the truth of Jesus Christ cannot be burned away!

St. Clare She was born on July 16, 1194 in Assisi, Italy. Her father was Favorino Scifi, the Count of Sasso and mother Orto Lana. Since her parents were of noble family, they wanted take St. Clare to their home, when she became a nun against their will. She refused to return to home and told her parents that God has called for her service. She was one of the first followers of St. Francis of Assisi. She founded an Order of Nuns named Order of Poor Ladies. The Order was renamed as Order of Saint Clare and also called as Poor Clares after the death of St. Clare, by Pope Urban-IV in the year 1263. One day some enemy soldiers came to raid the convent, where St. Clare was residing. St. Clare placed the Blessed Sacrament before the soldiers and she kneeled down to pray. Suddenly the enemy soldiers fled from the convent, due to some sudden fright struck the soldiers. The prayer of St. Clare and her faith in the Blessed Sacrament saved the nuns of the convent on that day. She died on August 11, 1253. She was canonized by Pope Alexander-IV on August 15, 1255, as St. Clare of Assisi. She is considered as the patron of sore eyes. St. Lawrence He was born in A.D. 225 in a place now in modern day Spain. He was one of the seven Deacons of ancient Rome under Pope Sixtus-II. He gave all the money he had to the poor people. When the Pope Sixtus-II was condemned to death by the Emperor Valerian and when the Pope was led to execution, St. Lawrence followed the Pope. He asked the Pope "Father, where are you going without your deacon". To this the Pope answered him that "in three days you will follow me". After the death of the Pope Sixtus-II, the Prefect of Rome, who was a greedy pagan, ordered Lawrence to bring all the Church's treasures to him. Lawrence asked for three days to bring the treasures to him. He then gathered all the poor and sick people in Rome and brought them before the Prefect and told him they are the treasures of the Church. The Perfect became furious and condemned Lawrence to a slow and cruel death. He was tied on top of an iron grill over a slow fire. This roasted the flesh of Lawrence little by little and led him to a slow and very painful death. Tradition says that he was martyred at San Lorenzo in Panisperna on August 10, 258. Legend says that St Lawrence, while he was roasted on the iron grill told the soldiers that his flesh is now suitably roasted so that it can be eaten by them. Emperor Constantine constructed an Oratory in honor of St. Lawrence. The grill of iron of martyrdom was placed by Pope Pascal-II in the Church of St. Lorenzo in Lucina. He is one of the widely venerated saints of Catholic Church. The Bishop of Chieti diocese, Giovanni Pietro Carafa was the first superior of this Oratory, who later became Pope Pius-IV. The members of the Oratory are also called as “theatines” in the name of the city of Chieti, which is called as “Theate” in Latin. In the year 1533 he founded a house in Naples to fight against Lutheranism and to check its spreading. When he fell ill, he slept on a wooden board. When the doctors told him to take rest on a comfortable bed, he refused and said that his savior died on a cross and at least let him die on wood. He died on August 7, 1547. He was beatified by Pope Urban-VIII on October 8, 1629 and also canonized on April 12, 1671. St. Ignatius of Loyola He was born on October 23, 1491 at the castle in Loyola in the municipality of Azpeitia, now in Spain. His baptismal name was Inigo Lopez de Loyola. He was brought up by the wife of a local blacksmith since his mother died soon after his birth. He became a servant (Page) in the house of the Treasurer of the Kingdom of Castle, who was a relative to him. In 1509 he joined the army of Viceroy of Navarre and participated in many battles without incurring any injuries to him. But one day he was injured seriously in his legs by a cannonball in a battle on May 20, 1521. During the treatment period he read De Vita Christi, a commentary on the life of Jesus and commentary on the Gospels. After reading this book, he started reading other books about Jesus and other saints. He got a mind change after reading Christian books and decided to devote his life to work for the conversion of non-Christians to Christian faith, in the Holy Land. After recovery from the leg injuries, he went to the Benedictine monastery, Santa Maria de Montserrat on March 25, 1523 and hung his military vestments before the image of the Holy Virgin Mary and went away. He then spent the next few months in a cave and practiced rigorous asceticism. He made a pilgrimage to the Holy Land for about 20 days and he studied in the University of Paris. In Paris he gathered six of his friends namely Francis Xavier, Alfonso Salmeron, Diego Laynez, Nicholas Bobadilla (all Spanish), Peter Faber (French) and Simao Rodriques (Portugal) and they took solemn vows of Poverty, Chastity and Obedience, on August 15, 1534 and about their life long work, in the crypt of the church of Our Lady of Martyrs at, Montmartre, Loyola. They founded the Society of Jesus in 1539. He wrote the constitution of the Society of Jesus and was approved by pope Paul-III on September 27, 1540. St. Ignatius and his friends pronounced their vows in the newly found Order (The Society of Jesus) on April 22, 1541 at the church of St. Paul outside the Walls. St. Ignatius became the first Superior General (Father-General) of the Society of Jesus. The Jesuit motto is \'Ad Maiorem Dei glorium\' (for the greater glory of God). St. Ignatius of Loyola died on July 31, 1556 in Rome due to malarial fever. He was beatified on July 27, 1609 by pope Paul-V and canonized by pope Gregory-XV on March 12, 1622.
