“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit.” How many times in your life did you feel trapped by mistakes made, painful events, desperation, shame and a feeling that you disappoint God” Looking back on your life you will start to notice that in every tough time, Jesus had you back. He pulled you out of your dark moments and returned you to the light of God’s purpose for your life. These days, uncertain as they are, challenge us daily. Corruption, lies, misconduct of supposed leaders, hatred, death. We, as Christians, understand that these things must happen before the glorious day if our Savior’s return. So, despite the horrors we see in the world today, we can trust God to keep us under His blood. He surrounds us with armies of angels to keep us from the world. He keeps us in His peace. Before we start praying, we need gratitude, thankfulness for having God in our lives. His presence in life will keep you from harm, help you make the right decisions and, of course, to praise Him every moment. Psalms 34:4: “I prayed to the LORD, and he answered me; he freed me from all my fears.” Take a few minutes from your day and read the entire Psalms 34. Daily Devotion: Psalms 34:4 “I prayed to the LORD, and he answered me; he freed me from all my fears” We all go through bad times. Times that you may think you will NEVER survive. I know a lot of people, myself included, that are in the middle of just such horrid moments. Isn’t it then, comforting, to know that God hears you? Your idea of problem solving may not be the same as His, but eventually you will understand the wisdom of His actions. The thing is, people, life is NOT a walk in the park. Bad things happen to good people, but the difference is how you deal with those times. Keeping your faith is an integral part of surviving terrible times. Turn to God whenever you feel overwhelmed and He will help you. My husband reckons that we are actually living in hell, here on earth, and who knows, maybe he has a point.
