✝️ THE GOSPEL FROM CALVARY 📅 Monday, 17th August, 2026 🚨 CONTEND FOR THE FAITH! ✝️🔥 📜 TEXT: JUDE 1:1–25 📜 🔑📖 KEY VERSE: «“Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.” — Jude 1:3 (KJV)» The Christian faith is precious, powerful, and worth defending. In his short but powerful letter, Jude warned believers about false teachers and ungodly influences that had entered among God's people. Jude's message is simple but urgent: DO NOT GIVE UP THE FAITH! 🔥 We live in a world where truth is often questioned, biblical values are increasingly challenged, and many voices compete for our attention. But the believer is called to remain rooted in God's Word and to earnestly contend for the faith. 🔥 THREE LESSONS FROM JUDE 1️⃣ CONTEND FOR THE FAITH. 🛡️📖 Jude 1:3 says: «“...earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.”» To contend for the faith does not mean fighting people. It means standing firmly for the truth of God's Word. Don't abandon biblical truth because it is unpopular. Don't compromise your convictions because of pressure. Don't change God's standards simply because society has changed. Stand for Christ. Stand for truth. Stand for the Gospel. ✝️🔥 2️⃣ BEWARE OF UNGODLY INFLUENCES. ⚠️ Jude warned that certain ungodly people had secretly entered among the believers. Their presence was dangerous because they could influence others away from the truth. This teaches us that not every teaching, philosophy, lifestyle, or spiritual message should be accepted without examination. 📖 Test what you hear against Scripture. 🙏🏽 Ask God for discernment. 👀 Watch the influences around you. ❤️‍🔥 Protect your relationship with Christ. Be careful what you allow to shape your thinking. 3️⃣ BUILD YOURSELF UP SPIRITUALLY. 🏗️🔥 Jude 1:20–21 gives believers a powerful instruction: «“But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, Keep yourselves in the love of God...”» Notice the progression: 📖 Build yourself on the faith. 🙏🏽 Pray in the Holy Ghost. ❤️ Keep yourself in God's love. 👑 Look for the mercy of Jesus Christ unto eternal life. A strong Christian life does not happen accidentally. You must intentionally develop your relationship with God. Pray. Study the Word. Worship. Obey God. Stay connected to Christ. 🛡️ DON'T COMPROMISE YOUR FAITH The pressure to compromise can come from many directions. Friends may pressure you. Society may pressure you. Relationships may pressure you. Entertainment may pressure you. Even people who claim to know God may pressure you. But remember: Your faith is more valuable than acceptance from people. Never exchange eternal truth for temporary popularity. Never exchange holiness for pleasure. Never exchange your relationship with Christ for worldly approval. ❤️‍🔥 HAVE MERCY ON THOSE WHO ARE STRUGGLING Jude does not only tell believers to defend the faith; he also teaches us how to respond to people who are struggling. Jude 1:22 says: «“And of some have compassion, making a difference.”» There are people who need correction, but they also need compassion. There are people who have wandered, but they can still be restored. There are people who are confused, but God can use you to lead them back to truth. Therefore, stand firmly for truth while showing the love of Christ. ❤️‍🩹✝️ 🔥 KEEP YOURSELF IN THE LOVE OF GOD Jude 1:21 says: «“Keep yourselves in the love of God...”» This does not mean that God's love is weak or that we must earn His love. It is a call to remain in fellowship and obedience to Him. Don't allow sin to become your lifestyle. Don't allow bitterness to occupy your heart. Don't allow worldly desires to take the place of Christ. Stay close to Jesus. 👑 GOD IS ABLE TO KEEP YOU The letter of Jude ends with one of the most beautiful declarations of God's power: «“Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy...” — Jude 1:24» What a powerful assurance! We are called to contend. We are called to watch. We are called to pray. We are called to remain faithful. But ultimately, God is the One who keeps us. 🙏🏽🔥 When you feel weak, He can strengthen you. When you are tempted, He can help you. When you are discouraged, He can restore you. When you are struggling, He can keep you from falling. ✍🏽 THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: A believer who knows the value of the Gospel will stand firmly for the truth, walk faithfully with Christ, and never trade eternal truth for temporary approval. 🔥✝️ 🙏🏽 PRAYER Heavenly Father, Thank You for the precious gift of salvation and for the faith You have entrusted to us. Give me grace to earnestly contend for the faith. Help me to recognize false teachings and ungodly influences. Give me spiritual discernment to know what is true and courage to stand for Your Word. Build me up in my most holy faith. Teach me to pray consistently and keep me in Your love. Help me to show compassion to those who are struggling and to point them back to Jesus. MESSAGE Years ago, a highly influential man in an Islamic nation, where church planting was prohibited, invited one of our missionaries to establish a church within his compound. When the church started, his wife said to him, "With your position in government and your influence in this nation, you allowed a church be established in your compound?" He looked at his wife and said, "Don't you dare say a word against these people!" I believe that it was easy for the RCCG to plant a church in that nation, and indeed many nations in the world today, because of God's covenant with its founder, Pa Josiah Akindayomi. One of the gains of being in a covenant with God is that you will keep getting greater results than your peers as long as you keep fulfilling your part of the covenant. God will keep giving you results that are beyond your efforts. What other people struggle to get will come to you easily because of His covenant with you. In Exodus 19:5, God said, "If you will keep my covenant, I will make you a peculiar treasure." This means that people will take a look at you and wonder why God loves you so much. Several times, when I wake up at night and reflect on all the good things God is doing in RCCG, I usually say, "Lord, how can you love us this much?" Some people might claim that it is because we fast and pray, but believe me, some people fast more than we do. I recall vividly that when I became the General Overseer, I had some of my friends join me in a 36-hour non-stop prayer session. We thought this was a remarkable feat until we heard of a man who prayed non-stop for so much longer! I may not have spent as many hours in prayer at a stretch as that person, yet what God has done for RCCG is unprecedented and truly remarkable. Indeed, there are immense gains in being in a covenant with the Almighty God. Another gain of being in a covenant with God is protection. When a king took Abraham's wife, God intervened by appearing in the king's dream. He went the extra mile to protect her and instructed the king to ask Abraham to pray for him, as we see in today's Bible reading. Beloved, there are immeasurable blessings that flow from being in covenant with God. KEY POINT Being in a covenant with God gives you access to tremendous benefits and makes difficult things easy. 📌 Today's Readings are from the Book of 2 Kings 11–12 | Galatians 1 📌 👇 Overviews Are Below (PLEASE READ YOUR BIBLE: Overviews Do Not Replace Daily Reading) 👇 2 Kings 11 God Preserves His Covenant Promise 2 Kings 11 unfolds during one of the darkest moments in Judah's history. Following the death of King Ahaziah, Athaliah seizes the throne and attempts to eliminate every royal heir from the house of David. Her actions appear to threaten the very covenant God had made with David—that his descendants would continue until the coming of the promised King. Humanly speaking, it seems as though God's redemptive plan is in danger. Yet behind the scenes, God is quietly preserving His promise. Jehosheba courageously rescues the infant Joash and hides him in the temple for six years. While Athaliah believes she has secured her kingdom, God has already protected the rightful heir. The Lord's covenant does not depend upon human power or political stability. He faithfully guards His purposes even when they appear hidden. After six years, the priest Jehoiada carefully organizes the restoration of the kingdom. His leadership is marked by wisdom, patience, and reverence for God's timing. Rather than acting impulsively, he waits until the proper moment to reveal Joash publicly as the rightful king. When Joash is crowned, the people rejoice, and Athaliah's reign comes to an end. The covenant between the Lord, the king, and the people is renewed, and the temple of Baal is destroyed. Worship is restored, and Judah experiences peace because the nation once again acknowledges the Lord as its true King. The chapter demonstrates that God's promises cannot be destroyed by human rebellion. Though evil may appear to triumph for a season, God's covenant purposes always prevail. His faithfulness quietly sustains what human eyes often fail to see. Theologically, 2 Kings 11 reveals God's unwavering commitment to His covenant with David. The preservation of Joash ensures that the Messianic line remains intact. The chapter also highlights the importance of faithful individuals like Jehosheba and Jehoiada, whose quiet obedience becomes part of God's larger redemptive plan. This chapter points directly to Christ. The preservation of David's royal line ultimately leads to Jesus, the promised Son of David whose kingdom will never end. Though many throughout history attempted to destroy God's redemptive plan, the Lord faithfully preserved the line through which the Savior would come. For believers today, 2 Kings 11 reminds us that God is always at work, even when His purposes seem hidden. Evil never has the final word because God's promises are secure. In Christ, we belong to an unshakable kingdom established by God's faithfulness. We are called to remain faithful in our own generation, trusting that God uses ordinary acts of obedience to accomplish extraordinary purposes. 2 Kings 12 Restoring the House of the Lord 2 Kings 12 begins with the early reign of Joash, who comes to the throne under the godly influence of Jehoiada the priest. During these early years, Joash desires to restore the temple, which had been neglected during Athaliah's reign. His concern for the house of the Lord reflects a recognition that true national renewal begins with proper worship. The temple had suffered because God's people had neglected their relationship with Him. Rather than merely repairing a building, Joash seeks to restore the center of Israel's worship. The chapter reminds us that outward restoration should always reflect an inward desire to honor the Lord. As the work begins, practical challenges arise. Initial plans do not move as expected, requiring adjustments in leadership and organization. Eventually, a faithful system is established, allowing the people to give generously and the repairs to proceed with integrity. The workers are described as trustworthy, highlighting the importance of faithfulness in handling what belongs to God. The restoration of the temple becomes a community effort. The people willingly participate because they recognize the value of honoring the Lord. Their generosity demonstrates that worship involves not only words but also faithful stewardship of the resources God provides. Yet the chapter also contains a quiet warning. Although Joash begins well, the high places remain, indicating that complete spiritual reform has not yet taken place. The closing verses reveal political pressures that eventually lead Joash to compromise by using temple treasures to appease an enemy rather than trusting fully in the Lord. His reign ends tragically, reminding us that beginning well does not guarantee finishing well. Theologically, 2 Kings 12 teaches that worship must remain central to the life of God's people. It also demonstrates the importance of faithful stewardship, integrity, and perseverance. Spiritual renewal involves more than repairing outward structures—it requires continual devotion to the Lord. This chapter points to Christ, who is greater than the temple itself. Jesus came not merely to restore a building but to establish God's dwelling among His people through His own body. Through His death and resurrection, believers become the temple of the Holy Spirit, called to live lives that honor God completely. For believers today, 2 Kings 12 reminds us to invest in what has eternal value. Just as the temple required faithful restoration, our hearts continually need renewal through God's Word and Spirit. In Christ, we are called to steward faithfully what God has entrusted to us, serve with integrity, and remain devoted to Him throughout our lives. The goal is not simply to begin our walk with enthusiasm but to finish it with unwavering faithfulness to our Lord and King. Galatians — The Gospel of Grace and Freedom in the Christ The book of Galatians is a passionate defense of the true gospel and a powerful declaration that salvation is found through the Christ, the Son of God, by grace alone through faith alone. Paul writes to churches that had begun to drift from the simplicity of the gospel by adding human works and religious requirements to the finished work of the Christ. Throughout the letter, he calls believers back to the freedom that God has provided through His redemptive plan. The central theme of Galatians is that no one is justified before God by keeping the Law or by human effort. The Law revealed humanity's need for a Savior, but only the Christ could fulfill its righteous requirements. Through His death and resurrection, the Son of God accomplished what no one else could, making salvation available to all who trust in Him. The book repeatedly contrasts life under the Law with life in the Spirit. The Christian life does not begin by grace and continue through human effort. From beginning to end, believers depend upon the grace of the Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit. The redemptive plan transforms people from the inside out, producing obedience that flows from love rather than obligation. Another major emphasis is Christian freedom. This freedom is not permission to live selfishly or sinfully but the freedom to love, serve, and obey God without the burden of trying to earn His acceptance. The Son of God has set His people free so they may walk in joyful obedience through the Spirit. The letter also highlights the believer's new identity. Those who belong to the Christ are sons and daughters of God, heirs of His promises, and members of His family. Their standing before God rests entirely upon the finished work of the Son of God. For believers today, Galatians reminds us to guard the purity of the gospel. Christian living is rooted in grace, empowered by the Spirit, and centered on the Christ. We are called to reject every form of legalism, trust completely in the finished work of the Son of God, and walk daily in the freedom He has purchased through His redemptive plan. Galatians 1 — Holding Fast to the True Gospel of the Christ Galatians chapter 1 immediately establishes the urgency of preserving the true gospel. Paul writes with deep concern because the believers were being influenced by teachers who had distorted the message of salvation. Rather than adding to the gospel, these teachings were actually replacing it. From the very beginning, the chapter points believers back to the Christ, the Son of God, as the only source of salvation and the foundation of God's redemptive plan. The chapter opens by emphasizing that Paul's calling and authority did not originate from human appointment but from the Christ Himself. This establishes that the message he proclaimed came directly from God rather than from human tradition. Christian living must always be built upon God's revealed truth rather than popular opinion or religious custom. The Son of God remains the ultimate authority over His Church. Paul quickly expresses astonishment that the Galatian believers were turning away from the grace of the Christ so soon after receiving the gospel. They were not rejecting Christianity altogether but allowing another message to replace the true one. This demonstrates how subtle spiritual deception can be. The redemptive plan is centered entirely on the finished work of the Christ, and anything that adds human merit to salvation undermines the gospel itself. The chapter makes it unmistakably clear that there is only one true gospel. Salvation is found through the Christ alone. No human effort, religious ceremony, or personal achievement can improve upon what the Son of God has already accomplished. Christian living begins with this unchanging truth and continues by resting completely in His grace. Paul also addresses the danger of seeking human approval. Faithful servants of the Christ cannot shape their message to satisfy people. Their calling is to remain faithful to God's truth regardless of opposition. The redemptive plan is too precious to be altered for the sake of acceptance or popularity. The Son of God calls His followers to proclaim the truth with humility and courage. The chapter then recounts Paul's own testimony. Before encountering the Christ, he was devoted to religious tradition and actively opposed the gospel. Yet God intervened by His grace, revealing His Son and transforming Paul's life completely. This testimony demonstrates that salvation is always initiated by God. The redemptive plan is founded upon divine grace, not human seeking. The Christ changes hearts, redirects lives, and calls people into His service. Paul emphasizes that after his conversion, his understanding of the gospel did not come through human instruction but through God's revelation. This highlights the divine origin of the message. Christian living must always remain rooted in the truth revealed through the Son of God rather than shifting with changing cultural ideas. The chapter concludes by showing how Paul's transformed life became a testimony to others. Those who had once feared him because of his persecution of the Church were now glorifying God because of the work of the Christ in his life. This is one of the great evidences of the redemptive plan. The Son of God does not merely forgive sinners—He transforms them into faithful servants whose lives point others to His glory. Throughout Galatians chapter 1, the focus remains fixed upon the grace of the Christ and the unchanging truth of the gospel. The Son of God alone provides salvation, and His finished work is fully sufficient. Every attempt to add to His work ultimately diminishes the glory that belongs to Him alone. For believers today, this chapter calls us to guard the purity of the gospel with humility and conviction. Christian living begins and continues through the grace of the Christ, never through human effort. We are reminded to evaluate every teaching by God's Word, to remain faithful to the truth regardless of cultural pressure, and to trust completely in the finished work of the Son of God. *TODAY'S PROPHETIC DECLARATION - SATURDAY, 15TH AUGUST, 2026.* 🌟*CHOOSE TO DO GOOD AND LET CHRIST RESTORE YOU*🌟 📖 Scripture: “And he saith unto them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? But they held their peace. And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it out: and his hand was restored whole as the other.” — Mark 3:4–5 (KJV). 🔥*Reflection – A Heart Open to God's Restoration:* In Mark 3:4–5, Jesus confronted the religious leaders who were more concerned about rules than about compassion and human need. He challenged them to recognize that doing good and saving life are always consistent with God's heart. Jesus then turned to the man with the withered hand and said, “Stretch forth thine hand.” The man responded in faith, and what had been damaged was restored. This passage teaches us that God desires mercy, restoration, and obedience. Sometimes, like the man in the synagogue, we must stretch out in faith what we have kept hidden because of pain, disappointment, fear, or shame. Today, Christ is still calling His people to stretch forth their hands—to trust Him, obey Him, do good, and allow His restoring power to work in their lives. 🔊*Prophetic Declaration:* Today, I declare that my heart is open to the transforming and restoring power of Jesus Christ. I will not allow hardness of heart, bitterness, unforgiveness, pride, or disappointment to prevent God's work in my life. I declare that every area of my life that has become weak, damaged, delayed, or unproductive shall receive the restoring touch of the Lord according to His perfect will. Today, I stretch forth my hands in faith. I stretch forth toward God's promises, toward new opportunities, toward service, toward growth, and toward everything the Lord has prepared for me. I declare restoration over my family, ministry, work, business, studies, relationships, and every good endeavor committed into my hands. Where there has been weakness, may God bring strength. Where there has been loss, may He bring restoration. Where there has been stagnation, may He bring renewed progress. I proclaim that I shall not be a person who sees a need and refuses to do good. Give me a compassionate heart that responds to people with love, kindness, generosity, and practical help. Today, every spirit of limitation and discouragement is overcome by faith. I refuse to remain where fear has kept me. I receive courage to stretch forth, step forward, and embrace the new things God is doing in my life. I declare that my hands shall be productive and fruitful. The work of my hands shall be established by the Lord. My skills, gifts, talents, resources, and opportunities shall be used for God's glory and for the blessing of others. I proclaim that my heart shall remain sensitive to the voice of the Holy Spirit. I shall not allow religious routine, human opinion, or tradition to prevent me from expressing the love and compassion of Christ. Today, I receive grace to forgive, grace to serve, grace to love, and grace to do good. What’s true is that every promise in the Book intended for you, is yours! God is committed to keeping every promise He has made (Matthew 24:35). So how can you know which Bible promises are yours? Here are some scriptural guidelines to help you: 1) Be sure you understand the promise. God is committed to His Word, not to your interpretation of it. When Jesus said, ‘…Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up’ (John 2:19 NKJV), His audience completely misunderstood Him, thinking He meant the literal temple when He meant His body. 2) Walk in the Spirit, not the flesh. Walking in the Spirit, Peter received divine understanding of Christ’s deity. When Jesus asked, ‘Who do you say I am?’ Peter answered, ‘You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.’ Jesus replied, ‘…this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father…’ (Matthew 16:15-17 NIV). There are many contemporary cases of revival in addition to the one in Bible days. Jonah was used by God to bring Revival to the people of Nineveh where all the 120,000 inhabitants got convicted and converted. There were revivals in Israel during the time of king Hezekiah and Josiah. The Early Church also experienced great revival immediately after the Pentecost. When there is spiritual coldness and indifference to spiritual things, when there is no clear distinction between the world and the Church, when saints are distracted from heavenly desire to earthly preoccupation, then revival is needed. When the saints are weak, powerless and fainting in scriptural conviction and consecration, then we need revival. When formalism and entertainment fill our worship instead of true and holy devotion to God and heavenly things, revival is needed. In order to experience revival, there must be deep concern and burden for prayer coupled with passion for revival. It takes a revived person to be an instrument of revival. *1. The Man of Prayer* a. The man God uses must be a man of bended knees with power of prayer. *"A prayer of Habakkuk the prophet upon Shigionoth.”* Habakkuk was not merely a prophet who preached; he was also a man who prayed. His direct communication with God was not clogged. God could express His mind and vision to him clearly and He also could hear from God and communicate with God effectively and fruitfully. He was a true servant of God that stood between God and man as mediator. He lived a life that was pleasing to God and God could speak to him about people. He dwelt in the midst of compromised and corrupted people without being defiled and with boldness to declare unto them their sins and evil as God had told him without fear or favour. His response to the difficult circumstances surrounding Judah was to seek God. The spiritual condition of a nation should drive God's servants to their knees. Revival begins when someone becomes sufficiently burdened to pray as he comes out of the cocoon of self seeking and self satisfaction. b. There is no revival that ever came in human history without people who had the passion and power of prayer from God. Habakkuk's prayer demonstrates that prayer is not a sign of weakness, but an expression of dependence upon the Almighty. The revival God wants to bring may begin with one person who is willing to stand before Him in persistent intercession. Churches need prayer warriors who will carry the burden of their generation before God. The praying saints or warriors that bring revival concentrate their prayers on heavenly things and not on earthly benefits and blessings. Earnest, consistent and persistent prayers by holy people with deep burden and passion for the glory of God, salvation of souls and perfection of saints are indispensable to a true God sent revival. *Question* Am I sufficiently burdened by the spiritual condition of my generation to become a man or woman of prayer? *2. The Manifestation of Passion* *"O LORD, I have heard thy speech, and was afraid"*. Habakkuk's prayer reveals intense spiritual passion. Having heard God's Word and understood His dealings with His people, he was moved deeply. He was such a person that was not indifferent to the Word of God. The Word of God moved, burned and melted his heart. It became fire in his bones that only revival could quench. First he heard the voice of God. Second he was afraid. He was like Noah who, after hearing the Word of God, believed and *"being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house"* (Hebrews 11:7). True passion for God is not passive. It actively engages in things that will bring change and revival. b. Passion for revival means longing to see God glorified, sinners saved, believers renewed and righteousness restored. Habakkuk did not ask God merely to improve circumstances; he asked Him to revive His work. True revival passion is therefore God-centred rather than man-centred. We must pray until spiritual hunger replaces spiritual complacency. *Question* Does my prayer life demonstrate a genuine passion for God to revive His work in my generation? *3. The Mercy from the Potentate* a. What does this world need desperately from God? Mercy! The degree of worldliness and ungodliness are inexcusable. Man deliberately lives his life, spurning His Word and commandments as if God does not exist. Saints' lives are soiled with carnality, worldliness and corruption. Their focus has shifted from serving the Lord to what mundane things the Lord will give to them. b. Passionate prayer for the mercy of God is an indication that we accept that God has been offended and He is angry at us because of our coldness and carnality. It should always be a prayer point constantly. *“In the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy.”* Habakkuk recognized God as the sovereign Potentate who has authority to judge, revive, restore and show mercy. He therefore pleaded, *“in wrath remember mercy.”* Revival cannot be manufactured by human ability; it must come through divine mercy and sovereign intervention. The prophet understood that although God's people might deserve judgment, God's mercy could provide restoration. This should encourage us to approach God humbly and plead for mercy upon the Church, families, communities, and nations. When God shows mercy, dry bones can live again, cold hearts can burn again and His work can flourish again. *Question* Am I humbly pleading with the sovereign God to remember mercy and revive His work in our generation? What decision are you making to be an agent of revival in your church and community? *Prayer Points* 1.O Lord, make me a man/woman of prayer, burdened continually for revival and spiritual awakening🙏. 2.O Lord, ignite within me an unquenchable passion for Your glory and the advancement of Your work 🙏. 3.O Lord, the sovereign Potentate, revive Your work in the Church, in families and throughout our nation 🙏. 4 Lord, in wrath remember mercy; pour out Your Spirit, save the lost, restore the backslidden and let genuine revival come upon our generation 🙏. *HYMN:* Come Holy Spirit *BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:* JOB 22-25. 2. 🕊️ DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 227 DATE: 15TH AUGUST 2026 TOPIC: COME BACK TO THE FATHER ANCHOR SCRIPTURE:Psalm 103:3 (NLT) “He forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases.” Devotional message: One of the greatest revelations we can receive about the heart of God is that His mercy is greater than our failures. The Psalmist declares that the Lord forgives all our sins, reminding us that no matter how far we have wandered or how seriously we have fallen, there is still an invitation to return to God through genuine repentance. Perhaps you have drifted far from the Lord. Perhaps there are things you have done that you are ashamed of, or secret failures that have made you believe that God could never receive you again. But child of God, your sin is not a reason to remain in sin. It is a reason to return to the Father. God gives us a beautiful invitation through the prophet Isaiah:Isaiah 1:18 (NKJV)“Come now, and let us reason together,” says the LORD, “Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow.” Notice that God does not tell the sinner to clean himself before coming. He says, “Come.” Restoration begins when we respond to His invitation. The Apostle John gives us further assurance:1 John 1:9 (NKJV)“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” God's forgiveness is not based on how deserving we feel. It is based on His faithfulness and the finished work of Christ. Therefore, do not allow shame and condemnation to keep you hidden from the One who desires to restore you. Consider the prodigal son. He believed that his failure had disqualified him from being a son and that perhaps the best he could become was a servant. Yet when he returned, his father ran to meet him, embraced him, clothed him, and restored him to his place. This is a picture of the heart of our Heavenly Father. The enemy may tell you, “You have gone too far.” God says, “Come back.”The enemy may tell you, “You are no longer worthy to be called His child.” The Father says, “Return to Me.”The enemy may tell you, “You must remain in your shame.” Christ offers forgiveness, cleansing, and restoration. Child of God, do not continue hiding in the same sin simply because you have already fallen. Do not allow one failure to become a lifestyle. Come back to the Lord. Confess your sin. Repent. Receive His forgiveness. Allow Him to cleanse you and begin again. When God forgives, He does not forgive you so that you can continue living in the same bondage; He forgives you so that you can rise and walk in freedom. LOOKING BACK ON Battle FOR BRITAIN.. IT INVOLVES BREAKING OF NEW GROUNDS. Those who can remember, we all know Battlefield Of Britain ain't for the weak or those who faint but its victory is in the hands of those who keep digging. Yes leaving the distraction behind. Genesis 26:11–31 — #2024. Great message to run with through Isaacs Journey in relation to Britain right now. Isaac's journey shows a clear progression. He dug a well, and it was disputed — he named it Esek, meaning contention. He dug another, and it was disputed again — he named it Sitnah, meaning opposition. He did not stop or turn back; he moved on and dug a third well, and this time no one contended over it — he named it Rehoboth, the room God provided. There, at Beersheba, God established him, and even those who had opposed him came and recognised that the LORD was with him. When Isaac first reopened the wells his father Abraham had dug, and no one contended over them. It was only when he broke new ground — Esek, then Sitnah — that opposition rose against him. Britain has restored what former generations laid down in the faith, yet in pressing forward into new ground for Christ in this generation, the nation has met contention and now stands in Sitnah. One of the Sitnahs' instruments is law. Isaac did not return to the old wells or retreat; he kept digging new ground until he reached Rehoboth. Britain the race is not for the Swift but for them who are able to keep going without fainting. So, do not stop digging because of Sitnah. Keep digging, keep praying, keep contending for the faith, keep standing for righteousness, and keep proclaiming Christ — until there is a Rehoboth, a place where God makes room to establish His purposes in this nation; until God is recognised in the land and peace reigns. It is written about you.. Are you part of the tribe.. He had been entrusted with the Gospel of the grace of God, and he believed that message was worth living for, suffering for, and even dying for. That same Gospel has been entrusted to followers of Jesus today. Grace tells us that we don't have to earn God's forgiveness. Jesus has already accomplished what we could never accomplish for ourselves. Through His death and resurrection, sinners can be forgiven, the broken can be restored, and those who were far from God can be brought near. Most of us may never be asked to die for the Gospel. But every follower of Jesus is called to live for it. The question is: Are we using the life God has given us to make Jesus known? TRUTH IS NOT POPULAR—WHY DO SO FEW FOLLOW JESUS IN HIS OWN SABBATH PATH? “As His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day.” — Luke 4:16 Luke does not describe a rare visit. He reveals Christ’s custom. The Sabbath was not an accident in His life. It was part of His faithful walk with the Father. TRUTH IS NOT DECIDED BY THE CROWD Noah stood with God while the world laughed. Elijah stood for truth while a nation compromised. Jesus stood upon Scripture while religious leaders defended tradition. The crowd may be sincere— and still be wrong. “Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil.” — Exodus 23:2 Jesus did not ask: What is popular? What is comfortable? What does the majority practice? He answered: “It is written.” — Matthew 4:4 Truth is not settled by numbers. It is settled by God’s Word. JESUS LEFT AN EXAMPLE—NOT MERELY A MESSAGE Jesus did not only say: “Believe in Me.” He also said: “Follow Me.” — Matthew 4:19 The Savior who died for us also showed us how to live. “Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow His steps.” — 1 Peter 2:21 Many admire Jesus. Few imitate Him. Many call Him Lord. Few follow when obedience becomes unpopular. “Why call ye Me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?” — Luke 6:46 JESUS REVEALED TRUE SABBATH-KEEPING The same Jesus who created the Sabbath also kept it. “The Son of man is Lord also of the Sabbath.” — Mark 2:28 He stripped away man-made burdens and restored its true beauty: Worship. Mercy. Healing. Fellowship. Rest in God. “It is lawful to do well on the Sabbath days.” — Matthew 12:12 Jesus did not abolish the Sabbath. He rescued it from legalism and revealed its Christ-centered purpose. The Sabbath points to Him as: Creator. Redeemer. Lord. Rest for the weary soul. “Come unto Me… and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28 THE SABBATH WILL OUTLIVE SIN The Sabbath did not begin with Israel. It began in Eden—before sin, before nations, and before denominations. “God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it.” — Genesis 2:3 Jesus honored it during His earthly life. And Scripture reveals that the redeemed will worship from Sabbath to Sabbath in the new earth. “From one Sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before Me.” — Isaiah 66:23 The Sabbath began before sin, was exemplified by Christ during redemption, and will remain when sin is gone forever. What God sanctified in Eden, what Jesus honored on earth, and what the redeemed will celebrate eternally— should not be strange to Christ’s followers today. ONLY JESUS SAVES We are not saved by keeping a day. We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. “By grace are ye saved through faith.” — Ephesians 2:8 But saving grace does not excuse rebellion. It forgives the sinner, transforms the heart, and writes God’s law within. “I will put My laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts.” — Hebrews 8:10 Obedience is not the price of salvation. It is the fruit of salvation. “If ye love Me, keep My commandments.” — John 14:15 Truth without Christ becomes cold. Obedience without love becomes legalism. But faith that beholds Calvary produces loving loyalty. THE REAL ISSUE IS AUTHORITY The deepest Sabbath question is not merely: Which day? It is: Who rules my conscience—Christ or tradition? Christ warned against worship built upon human commands. “In vain they do worship Me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.” — Matthew 15:9 A tradition may be ancient. It may be popular. It may be defended by millions. But age cannot sanctify error. Popularity cannot replace divine authority. “To the law and to the testimony.” — Isaiah 8:20 CHRIST IS CALLING YOU CLOSER Perhaps you followed tradition sincerely. Jesus is not calling you to pride, bitterness, or argument. He is calling you to: Repentance. Faith. Surrender. Obedience. Repent of placing human authority above His Word. Believe—not in your obedience, but in His cleansing blood. Surrender to His transforming grace. Follow wherever His truth leads. “The blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin.” — 1 John 1:7 “These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever He goeth.” — Revelation 14:4 “The strongest argument in favor of the gospel is a loving and lovable Christian.” — The Ministry of Healing, p. 470 The narrow path has never been crowded. But Jesus walks there. The crowd cannot forgive you. Tradition cannot transform you. A denomination cannot save you. Only Christ can. Do not measure truth by the crowd. Measure everything by Christ and His Word. Prayer Lord Jesus, forgive my compromise. Cleanse me by Your blood, write Your law upon my heart, teach me to keep Your Sabbath as You did—with worship, mercy, love, and joy—and give me courage to follow You from this earth into eternity.

🕊️ DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 226 DATE: 14TH AUGUST 2026 TOPIC: BE HONEST ANCHOR SCRIPTURE:1 JOHN 1:9 (NLT) “But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.” Devotional message: One of the differences between a believer who experiences genuine restoration and one who remains trapped in repeated failure is the way we respond when we make mistakes. Many people, when they appear before God after falling, immediately begin to justify themselves, explain why they failed, or point to someone else as the reason for their actions. We see this pattern in the Garden of Eden. When Adam was confronted by God, he pointed to the woman, while Eve pointed to the serpent. Instead of immediately acknowledging their disobedience, they shifted responsibility. Child of God, God cannot restore what we are unwilling to acknowledge. Restoration begins when we become honest before Him. There is no need to hide from the One who already knows everything about us. When we come before God with a broken and contrite heart, acknowledge our error, repent, and ask for His help, we position ourselves to receive His mercy and grace. The Psalmist understood this posture. David did not merely try to conceal his failures; he came before God and cried for mercy and cleansing. He understood that his greatest need was not to defend himself but to be restored. Psalm 51:10 (NLT) says, “Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me.” Sometimes the reason a person keeps repeating the same failure is because they have never truly confronted it before God. They keep explaining it, blaming others, minimizing it, or pretending that it is not serious. But when we acknowledge, “Lord, I cannot overcome this by my own strength; I need Your help,” we begin to experience the grace that enables us to stand. This does not mean we should live under condemnation. There is a difference between condemnation and conviction. Condemnation tells you that you are hopeless and should remain in your failure; the Holy Spirit convicts you so that you can repent, be cleansed, and return to fellowship with God. Child of God, do not allow pride to keep you in a cycle of defeat. If you have fallen, arise. If you have erred, acknowledge it. If you have become weak, ask for strength. If you have wandered, return to the Father. Your failure does not have to become your permanent identity. The moment you acknowledge your insufficiency and surrender yourself to God's help, you open your heart to His transforming grace. His mercy is greater than your failure, and His grace is sufficient to help you walk uprightly. True restoration begins with honest acknowledgement, genuine repentance, and dependence on God's grace. Stop justifying the error and allow God to restore you. PRAYER Heavenly Father, I come before You with an open and honest heart. Forgive me for every error, disobedience, and failure I have tried to justify or hide. Give me the grace to acknowledge my weaknesses without shifting blame.Let Your mercy restore me and Your grace strengthen me to stand. In Jesus' name, Amen.
