(The spirit of joy, an ecstasy that comes from God)

    July 30, 2025 - NEVER WITHOUT HELP

    REV. AROME E. TOKULA

2 Corinthians 1:9 (TPT) - It felt like we had a death sentence written upon our hearts, and we still feel it to this day. It has TAUGHT us to LOSE ALL FAITH IN OURSELVES and to PLACE ALL OF OUR TRUST in the GOD who RAISES THE DEAD.

There is a subtle cliché that says, “Heaven helps those who help themselves!” Many have accepted it to be true and, sadly, some believers have allowed this to linger in their consciousness and it has formed a wrong belief system. The truth is heaven helps those who CANNOT help themselves.

There is help for you as a child of God and the place of total dependence on God by reason of Christ in you is where you must be mentally positioned for God’s help to reach you. As long as your eyes and confidence still lie in ‘anything’ other than God and you feel disadvantaged, God’s help will elude you. Truth is, you can’t look to God and man-made systems at the same time.

When God wanted to change Abraham’s story and make a nation out of him despite Sarah being barren, Genesis 12:2 says God told him, *“…GET OUT OF YOUR COUNTRY, from your family and from your father’s house, to a land that I will show you.”* By God asking Abram to leave his country, He was literally stripping Abram of everything that he could put his confidence in. Without a country and a family, he was at best a wanderer and fugitive. As tough as this looks, God needed him in that place so that His help could reach Him because the help of God will always be on the merit of His grace. He disconnected Abram from his country so He could make a nation out of Him.

In pursuit of God’s purpose, Apostle Paul went through lots of trying moments and experiences and it it looked like there was a sentence of death constantly hanging over his head (2 Corinthians 1:8). But according to our text, he said those moments ‘taught’ him and his team to, *“… LOSE ALL FAITH in OURSELVES and to place ALL OF OUR TRUST in the GOD who raises the dead.”

The pursuit of a God’s purpose isn’t a walk through the park but the lesson to learn from trying times is to put total dependence on God! You have to place *ALL* of your *TRUST* in the God who raises the dead! Seeming losses turn to great victories you trust God and rely completely on Him. The help of God will raise and restore whatever seems lost. It is this resurrection power that creates opportunities and brings people that you need to go to the next level into your life.

Regardless of whatever is happening around you, trust completely in God because you aren’t without help! With your eyes on God, you will see this resurrection power of God released to work in your life! Remember that all of heaven’s help came to you the day you received Jesus as Lord and the Holy Ghost came to dwell in you! You are never without help!

    DECLARE
*I lift my eyes to You, my Father. I take my eyes off every earthly source of help. I raise my hands in total surrender to You and I receive Your help. You are my Ebenezer; I am the man/woman God helps. I walk in the consciousness that you have sent me help and I rejoice because I am never helpless. Thank You, Father. Glory!*

    THERE IS SOMETHING ABOUT YOU

    REV. AROME E. TOKULA

    Psalm 139:13-14 (MSG)
13 Oh yes, YOU SHAPED ME FIRST INSIDE, then out; you formed me in my mother's womb.
14 I THANK YOU, High God—you're breathtaking! BODY AND SOUL, I AM MARVELOUSLY MADE! I worship in adoration—WHAT A CREATION!

The foundation to a fruitful and successful life begins by appreciating who God has made you!

To celebrate others at the expense of yourself or to treat yourself harshly than you would others are signs you don't appreciate who God has made you to be.

King David wasn't a ‘perfect’ person. In sharp contrast to King Saul, he wasn't tall in stature! He was not born into a noble family yet he was grateful for who God made him. He didn’t move with a complex!

He understood that he was first 'David' in God's heart before he was given a physical body and an environment to live in. He understood that God didn't make a mistake! He didn't define himself by his environment, what he had or didn't have, rather he defined himself by the One who created him - God!

David thanked God and appreciated himself. He saw himself as God's creation and exclaimed, “... What a creation!" You should be able to say that about yourself! Appreciating yourself for who God has made you will greatly affect your self-esteem and free you to be yourself because nobody is really better than you! You're simply amazing!

Rather than go around being sad and having a negative attitude, take sometime today to celebrate God and don’t forget to appreciate yourself for who God has made you! If nobody takes you out on a date, take yourself out!

The truth is, everything around you might not be right 'yet' but it doesn't mean YOU are wrong! Just because something didn't work out as planned doesn't mean you aren't working! That the car didn’t start doesn't mean you didn’t start - you woke up! When you start to thank God for WHO He has made you, everything will begin to fall into place in your life!

Never forget that you are God's best version of you!

    DECLARE
I am beautifully and wonderfully made of the God and I am perfectly suited for the Father’s purpose for my life. Thank You Father for the great future that You have planned and prepared for me to live and thank You for the gift of Jesus that now fills my heart in the person of the Holy Spirit. I love who God has made me in Jesus name.

(The spirit of joy, an ecstasy that comes from God)

    July 17, 2025 - REACH YOUR WORLD*

    REV. AROME E. TOKULA

Mark 16:15 (TPT) “And he said to them, “AS YOU GO into all the world, PREACH openly the WONDERFUL NEWS of the gospel to the entire human race!”

The greatest miracle is the miracle of the new birth in Christ Jesus. Not even the miracle of being raised back to life compares because Lazarus was raised back to life by Jesus, yet he still died! When someone gets born again that person receives the very life of God and his/her name is written down in the Lamb’s book of life with the assurance of going to heaven and spending eternity in fellowship with God (Revelation 21:27). This is so beautiful but we mustn’t forget as believers that our salvation isn’t an end to all of God’s plans for us rather it is a means to an end.

The reason God kept us here on earth after getting saved is because He wants to give us platforms through which we can reach others with this beautiful message of His grace. He expects us to be intentional about the message because preaching the gospel is a trust. Apostle Paul said in 1 Timothy 1:11, “… according to THE GLORIOUS GOSPEL of the blessed God which was COMMITTED TO MY TRUST.”

As a child of God, you aren’t on earth just to make money, travel the world or rise in your career; you’re here primarily to reach your world for Jesus regardless of what you do! Our jobs, careers and professions are the various platforms that God gives to us to help us reach people! God favours us and makes us big, great and influential because He loves people and He wants them to be saved! 1 Timothy 2:4 says that God, “… DESIRES ALL MEN to BE SAVED and to come to the knowledge of the truth.”

Traditionally, many have been taught to leave and abandon all that they do to go and preach the gospel but that isn’t what Jesus meant. The instruction according to our text is, “…AS YOU GO INTO ALL THE WORLD, preach openly the wonderful news of the gospel to the entire human race!” (Mark 16:15 Passion)

The Great Commission isn’t about leaving what you do to preach the gospel, rather it is about announcing the gospel through whatever you do; wherever you go! This is the reason every believer needs to do something productive and seek to excel in it for the sake of the gospel and the kingdom that we represent. This is God’s endgame for saving you! Be intentional about reaching your world today!

    DECLARE
Thank You Father for the miracle of the new birth. Today, I walk in the consciousness of my salvation in Christ and I am intentional about sharing the good news of the gospel with everyone I come in contact with. I receive boldness to preach the gospel. I declare that through me many come to the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ in Jesus’ Name.

(The spirit of joy, an ecstasy that comes from God)

July 15, 2025 - IT IS YOUR TIME

    REV. AROME E. TOKULA

Romans 9:16 - “So then it is not of him WHO WILLS, nor of him WHO RUNS, but of God who SHOWS MERCY.”

Maybe you can never remember being ‘lucky’ in your life. Probably you’ve had everything come to you either by merit or right. The good news is that in Christ, favour prevails over labor and sweat!

In Christ Jesus, you are blessed, and God is well pleased with you. Proverbs 16:7 (TPT) says, “When the Lord is pleased with the decisions you’ve made, he activates grace to turn enemies into friends.” Let it register in your heart that the greatest decision you ever made was receiving Jesus into your life because it changed everything! With this understanding your life will begin to defy logic because God’s face shines upon you.

Don’t ever feel cheated in life because as a child of God, everything in life works for your good (Romans 8:28). Never get jealous, angry, bitter or even try to malign and find faults with others. I learned many years ago not to fight what God is blessing and never to take away from a person what God has given that person because the bible says in Romans 10:12, _“… the SAME LORD OVER ALL IS RICH TO ALL who call upon Him.” God is rich to ALL - not some!

Ecclesiastes 9:11 says “I returned and saw under the sun that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, nor bread to the wise, nor riches to men of understanding, nor favor to men of skill; but TIME AND CHANCE HAPPEN TO THEM ALL.” I love the way the Message translation renders it: “I took another walk around the neighborhood and realized that on this earth as it is— The race IS NOT ALWAYS TO THE SWIFT…” That means there is absolutely nothing wrong with being strong, swift, smart or learned but scripture says that they aren’t ALWAYS the ones that win in life neither are they ones that are always rich. The bible says, “… TIME and CHANCE happen to them all …” Life is determined by time and chance. When you are in the right place at the right time and you meet the right people, right things happen and you get the right results.

For some it could be the right time, yet they are denied a chance and for others it is the reverse! There is a supernatural factor however called ‘the favour of God’ that makes time and chance to collide! It has nothing to do with your effort or ability but his favour! This is the core of today’s text!

God’s favour is because of His mercy! Psalms 102:13 says, “You will arise and have mercy on Zion; for the time to favor her, Yes, THE SET TIME, HAS COME.” Your set time for change has come in Jesus name. Rise up and step out saying, it is my time!

Believe it and start walking in it.

    DECLARE
In Christ Jesus I have been fully accepted by the Father. He is creating the right opportunities for me today as I step out in faith because I know that all things are working for me as He directs my step to the right people, right places and creating the right moments in Jesus name.

July 11, 2025 - BE THE GRATEFUL ‘ONE’

    REV. AROME E. TOKULA

Luke 17:15-16 (MSG) - “One of them, when he REALIZED that he was healed, turned around and came back, SHOUTING HIS GRATITUDE, GLORIFYING GOD.*
“16 He kneeled at Jesus' feet, SO GRATEFUL. He COULDN'T THANK HIM ENOUGH—and he was a Samaritan.”

Many years ago, the Lord spoke to me and said that a grateful heart is the breeding ground for miracles.

You can cultivate a grateful heart by learning to appreciate the things that God does in your life every day instead of trivializing or making light of them. Luke 17:11-19 is a story of ten lepers who met Jesus and asked Him to have mercy on them. Jesus instructed them to go and show themselves to the high priest. It was an act of faith because the Law of Moses demands that you show yourself to the high priest only ‘after’ you have been healed and not ‘before’ (Leviticus 14:2-31). These ten lepers acted on Jesus’ Word and the Bible says that as they went, they were ALL healed (Luke 17:14) but only one who was a Samaritan came back to give thanks! He was so expressive about it that the Bible says, “…He came ‘SHOUTING’ his gratitude…!” There should be expressions of gratitude.

Gratitude and thanksgiving aren’t determined by the size of our experiences with God or the volume of things that He does in our lives but actually, by the heart that we cultivate. Some people are thankful to God for the same things that you complain about.

These ten lepers were in the same situation and had the same experiences but ONLY one came back and Jesus acknowledged what He came back to do as an act of faith. Jesus said, “Were not ten healed? WHERE ARE THE NINE? Can none be found to COME BACK AND GIVE GLORY TO GOD except this outsider?” Then he said to him, “Get up. On your way. YOUR FAITH HAS HEALED AND SAVED YOU” (Luke 17:17-19 MSG). Thanksgiving is an act of faith that completes whatever process the Word has started in our lives.

Probably the other nine lepers were grateful and ‘forgot’ to come back but they went silent. It could be that they felt it was theirs by right of the covenant as Israelites but the truth remains that the Samaritan who wasn’t considered worthy of the covenant was the person who acknowledged his healing as an act of grace and came back to thank God because thanksgiving *must* be *expressed*.

Come out from among the ‘nine’ silent and ungrateful people and be the grateful ‘one.’ Openly thank Jesus for what He does in your life because silence is ingratitude!

    DECLARE
I am that person who will always acknowledge God’s goodness in my life and come back to give God thanks. I will not make light of the Father’s love, kindness and goodness in my life. I will not remain quiet and indifferent; I will always make it known that God is good to me. No more complaining in Jesus' name.

GOD'S FAVOUR IS FREE AND PROFUSE

    REV. AROME E. TOKULA

*lLuke 4:19 (AMP) - To proclaim the accepted and acceptable year of the Lord [the day when salvation and the FREE FAVORS OF GOD PROFUSELY ABOUND]

I can't remember being ‘lucky' growing up. I never won anything on TV bonanza shows and my relatives rarely picked me over others for holidays; everything came to me either by merit or right. However, something happened when I got born again, I realized that life isn’t fair but just. I discovered that God’s justice system is Jesus. In Christ Jesus, I am the most blessed person on earth and because I am in Christ Jesus, God is well pleased with me. Proverbs 16:7 says, “When the Lord is pleased with the decisions you’ve made, HE ACTIVATES GRACE to turn ENEMIES INTO FRIENDS” (Passion). The greatest decision that I’ve made is receiving Jesus into my life; everything changed! I discovered that my life began to defy logic all because God’s face shines upon me.

Some people always feel cheated in life. They always feel that life isn't fair to them and it is like they are always on the wrong side of life. They wonder why those who seem to have things working for them are those who they think aren’t good enough for it. Some become jealous, angry, bitter, and even try to malign and find faults. I learned many years ago not to fight what God is blessing and never to take away from a person what God has given to them because the Bible says in Romans 10:12, “For there is NO DISTINCTION between Jew and Greek, for the SAME LORD OVER ALL IS RICH to all who call upon Him.” God is rich to *all*, not some!

The Bible says in Ecclesiastes 9:11, “I returned and saw under the sun that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, nor bread to the wise, nor riches to men of understanding, nor favor to men of skill, but TIME AND CHANCE HAPPEN TO THEM ALL.” I love the way the Message translation renders it: “I took another walk around the neighborhood and realized that on this earth as it is— The race IS NOT ALWAYS TO THE SWIFT…” That means there is nothing wrong with being strong, swift, smart, or learned but scripture says that they aren’t *always* the ones that win in life neither are they ones that are always rich. The Bible says, “… TIME and CHANCE happen to them all …” Life is determined by time and chance. When you are in the right place at the right time and you meet the right people, the right things happen and you get the right results.

For some people, it could be the right time yet they are denied a chance and for others, it is the reverse! There is a supernatural factor called ‘the favour of God’ that makes time and chance collide!

One day of God’s favour changes a lifetime of struggles and hardships to the next level of their lives without favour and this is what Jesus freely gives to us as believers. Psalms 30:5 says, “For His anger is but for a moment, HIS FAVOR IS FOR LIFE; Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.” In Christ Jesus God’s anger has been turned away from you and as He announced to the Israelites in His earth walk, He is announcing to you today that the salvation and the free favors of God profusely abound towards you. Believe it and start walking in it.

    DECLARE
In Christ Jesus, I have been fully accepted by the Father. He is creating the right opportunities for me today as I step out in faith because I know that all things are working for me as He directs my step to the right people, and right places and creates the right moments in Jesus' name.

(The spirit of joy, an ecstasy that comes from God)

July 8, 2025 - INTO THE SAME IMAGE*

    REV. AROME E. TOKULA

2 Corinthians 3:18 - “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed INTO THE SAME IMAGE FROM GLORY TO GLORY, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.*

It is said that the human eye can register 36,000 visual messages per hour but can only focus on about 2 to 4 per time! Our ability to wade off distractions and focus on what God has said in His Word is the key to producing results from the Word of God! We know that the same light ray that is diffused when focused becomes a laser that cuts through metals!

The bible says in Proverbs 4:26-27,
26 PONDER THE PATH OF YOUR FEET, and let all your ways be established. 27 Do not turn to the right or the left; remove your foot from evil.”
The truth is, if you focus on the Word of God and keep away from the distractions that come to you from the left or right, you will be established in anything that the Word of God says. When my health was queried for cancer and my body was ridden with pains, one of the things I decided I was going to do was to zoom in on what God’s Word said concerning my healing. I always had a message on healing or victory over death playing either on my phone or any other digital device around me! I went to bed listening, slept listening, walked listening. I could literally preach some of the messages! I kept away every distraction and wouldn’t even read or watch anything that mentioned cancer!

Jesus said in Luke 11:34 (AMP), “The eye is the lamp of your body. When your eye is clear [spiritually perceptive, FOCUSED ON GOD], your WHOLE BODY also is full of light [BENEFITING from God's precepts]…”The spiritual principle here is that whatever you focus on from God’s Word determines the image that you see and what you see is what you are eventually transformed into!

On the mount of transfiguration, the bible says in Matthew 17:3, “And behold, MOSES and ELIJAH appeared to them, TALKING WITH HIM.” This means that while Jesus was on that mountain, He fellowshipped (talked) with Moses and Elijah, who represented the Law and the Prophets respectively. Both had extraordinary miracle ministries, and there is no record of either one of them seeing death. This is what Jesus focused on and that was the image that was formed in His heart.

Jesus’ ministry was also characterized by extraordinary miracles, and He also defeated death in His death, burial and resurrection. Jesus had similar experiences with Moses and Elijah because He constantly looked at their ministries. As a child of God, if you stay focused on what you see from God’s Word, you will be transformed into the same image!

    DECLARE
Thank You Father for the power and potency of Your Word that creates the right images of victory and glory in my heart. As I wade off every distraction and negative report and choose to make Your Word my constant gaze, my life is changed from the inside out because I am daily becoming what I am beholding in Your Word in Jesus name!

July 7, 2025 - DO IT LIKE JESUS

    REV. AROME E. TOKULA

Luke 9:16 (MSG) - “He took the five loaves and two fish, LIFTED HIS FACE TO HEAVEN IN PRAYER, blessed, broke, and gave the bread and fish to the disciples to hand out to the crowd.”

Like Jesus, resources can multiply in your hands. The Bible says that Jesus lifted that little boy’s lunch of five loaves and two fish to heaven in prayer! The truth is, you cannot make any significant progress in life if your eyes aren’t lifted to heaven in prayer. In the New Testament, our eyes should constantly be lifted in prayer to see the sacrifice of Jesus! We must see that Jesus has paid the price for all that we do to multiply!

The Bible says that He ‘blessed’ it. The word “bless” means to “give thanks.” Be thankful to God for what He has given you. Stop complaining and murmuring. Thank Him for that job that you have. If you are a volunteer in an establishment, be grateful to Him that you have an opportunity to volunteer and contribute to that establishment. It is no different when we give our offerings and sow our seeds. Be thankful! See the anointing of God coming upon it to multiply it.

When you spend quality time in prayer daily looking at the sacrifice of Jesus and lifting whatever you have, it could be a business, career, a project, a seed – to God, the supernatural power and ability of God will come upon it to multiply it. It will amaze you what God will do with what you yield to Him.

Alvin Slaughter sang, “What’s that you have in your hands, I can use it if you’re willing to lose it.”

The beauty of the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ is that whatever we have comes from Him. 1 Corinthians 4:7 says, “… Isn't everything you have and everything you are sheer gifts from God?” (MSG). Our callings, abilities, talents, and even material things are all ‘sheer gifts’ from God. They are nothing that we worked for!

These things that have been given to us can increase and become a major blessing to many if we learn to put them in God’s hands. Whatever God gives us remains ours until we willingly lift it to Him. God lays no forceful claim on anything He gives us unless we yield it to Him. Peter told Ananias and Sapphira, ”Before you sold it, it was all yours, and after you sold it, the money was yours to do with as you wished”(Acts 5:4 MSG). Peter wanted them to know that they didn’t have to lie because land and the proceeds were theirs even though everything comes from God.

In the story of the miraculous multiplication what we often overlook is the willingness of the ‘little’ boy to yield his 5 loaves and 2 fish into the hands of Jesus! (John 6:9). He took what He had and placed them in Jesus’ hands and after his lunch fed five thousand men besides women and children, the bible says there were twelve leftover baskets of whole bread and fish that weren’t touched (Luke 9:17). Who do you think they gave it to? The boy of course! His lunch wasn’t little anymore! Nothing that you yield to God by putting in Jesus’ hands ever remains small.

    DECLARE
I am grateful for every opportunity you have given me in life. I refuse to complain and murmur. In faith and thanksgiving, I put my five loaves and two fish in Jesus’ hands and I rejoice. Thank You, Father, for increase because little always becomes much when it is in your Hands.

July 2, 2025 - FASTER THAN THE CHARIOTS

    REV. AROME E. TOKULA

Matthew 24:22 “And unless those DAYS WERE SHORTENED, no flesh would be saved; but for the ELECT’S SAKE those days will be shortened.”

There is a technology of the Spirit that compresses time so that the plans and purposes of God will come to pass in His own set time in your life.

After Elijah turned his face to God in prayers and prayed that the drought in Israel would cease and that the rain would come again, the Bible says that the clouds became dark and heavy, so he instructed king Ahab, “Prepare your chariot, and go down before the rain stops you.” Ahab rode away to Jezreel as fast as he could and you can be sure that the king had one of the finest and fastest of chariots but scripture tells us in 1 Kings 18:46 that, “Then the hand of the Lord came upon Elijah; and he girded up his loins and RAN AHEAD of Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel.”

The Bible tells us that prophet Elijah outran the best of king Ahab’s chariots on foot, and he waited for the king at the entrance of Jezreel. This wasn’t ordinary; it was supernatural! It was possible because the ‘Hand of the Lord’ came upon Elijah! The anointing came upon Elijah and the anointing is God’s equipment for getting us to the finished line before those who started before us and have probably gone ahead of us with natural advantage.

Our text says that certain things will be impossible in the physical unless God shortens the days (or time) required to get those things done. The good news is that God will shorten the days because of the elect and that means that He will compress time for you.

You may be wondering how God shortens time! it is through the spiritual instrument called the anointing of His Spirit like we see in the life and ministry of Elijah. Jezreel means the place of God’s planting because there are positions and places that the Father needs His children planted in order to bring to pass His agenda and it might currently look like there are people who are way ahead of those God wants in those positions and places but through the anointing of His Spirit, time will be compressed for their sake to bring them there before those who have seemingly gone ahead. Rejoice because no man-made ‘chariot’ can outrun the man who is anointed by God.

God exempts you from certain things because your election is by His grace. The experiences of the person that is anointed of God cannot be like that of others. For your sake God has introduced the concept of speed; a compression of time by the anointing so that what would have ordinarily taken decades to achieve will happen for you in weeks and months because through His anointing, He brings you into a time zone where things happen in quick succession. The prophet declared in Amos 9:13 (MSG), “Yes indeed, it won't be long now." God's Decree. "THINGS ARE GOING TO HAPPEN SO FAST YOUR HEAD WILL SWIM, one thing fast on the heels of the other. You won't be able to keep up. EVERYTHING WILL BE HAPPENING AT ONCE—and everywhere you look, blessings! Blessings like wine pouring off the mountains and hills.” Glory to God!

    DECLARE
I declare that I am running faster than the chariots because the hand of the Lord is upon me! He is taking me from glory to glory because the Father has divinely planted me to fulfill and bring to pass His plans and purposes in my time. Thank You Father for the overlapping blessing in the Name of Jesus.
