    It is just six days of work, then a day off. If my first day was Monday, then Sunday would be the 7th day and Saturday would be the end of 6 days of work.

  • Good morning, brethren.

    1. Morning devotion for today.

    MD.i. MORNING TEA
    THE WORD FOR TODAY.

    "YOU'VE GOT TO WORK AT IT!"

    …Well informed, quick to understand…qualifier to serve…’ Daniel 1:4 NIV

    WHEN NEBUCHADNEZZAR captured the Jews, he told his Chief of Staff to look for the brightest and best, and bring them to his palace. He wanted the following qualities: ‘Showing aptitude for every kind of learning, well informed, quick to understand, and qualified to serve in the king’s palace.’ Daniel seized the opportunity. Yes, God gave him favour, but he also had to work at it! The CEO of one of the world’s largest companies put it this way: ‘The only way you’re going to stand out, is to grasp this simple principle: When your boss asks you a question, assigns you a project or sends you to gather data, he already knows the answer he’s looking for. He just wants you to confirm that what he believes is true. Most people do just that. But there’s a difference. You must understand that the question is only the beginning. To elevate yourself, you must sink your thoughts into not only answering the question, but going above and beyond it. That means presenting him with three or four other ideas that he’d probably not considered. Your goal should be to add value to the idea by exceeding expectations. This is true not only with questions, but assignments, initiatives, and anything else ever given you to do. If you understand that the question is only the beginning, you’ll get out of the pile fast, because 99 percent of all employees stay in the pile because they don’t think. If you understand this principle, you’ll be given even more critical questions to answer, and in time, you will be the one giving the questions to others.’

    *THE POWER OF HUMILITY BEFORE GOD*

    *TEXT:* 2 KINGS 1:13–18*

    13. And he sent again a captain of the third fifty with his fifty. And the third captain of fifty went up, and came and fell on his knees before Elijah, and besought him, and said unto him, O man of God, I pray thee, let my life, and the life of these fifty thy servants, be precious in thy sight.
    14. Behold, there came fire down from heaven, and burnt up the two captains of the former fifties with their fifties: therefore let my life now be precious in thy sight.
    15. And the angel of the LORD said unto Elijah, Go down with him: be not afraid of him. And he arose, and went down with him unto the king.
    16. And he said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Forasmuch as thou hast sent messengers to enquire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron, is it not because there is no God in Israel to enquire of his word? therefore thou shalt not come down off that bed on which thou art gone up, but shalt surely die.
    17. So he died according to the word of the LORD which Elijah had spoken. And Jehoram reigned in his stead in the second year of Jehoram the son of Jehoshaphat king of Judah; because he had no son.
    18. Now the rest of the acts of Ahaziah which he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

    *Timeless Truth*
    _Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up_
    ( James 4:10)

    *INTRODUCTION*

    In 1996, during the Dunblane school tragedy in Scotland, teacher Gwen Mayor and others acted with extraordinary courage to protect children when a gunman entered the school. The event remains a painful reminder that, in moments of danger, people quickly discover that human strength and authority have limits. In a crisis, the right response is not pride, but humility, wisdom and a willingness to seek help.
    Something similar occurs in 2 Kings 1. King Ahaziah was seriously ill, but instead of seeking the Lord, he sought guidance from Baal-Zebub, the god of Ekron. Elijah announced God's judgment because of this rebellion.
    The first two captains approached Elijah arrogantly and demanded that he come down from the mountain. Fire consumed them. The third captain, however, approached differently. He humbled himself, pleaded for mercy and acknowledged Elijah as God's servant. His humility made a remarkable difference.
    *The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD: but the prayer of the upright is his delight.* (Proverbs 15:8) The passage teaches us that God is not impressed by position, rank, threats or human authority. He desires hearts that recognize His sovereignty and respond to Him with humility.

    *1. The Danger of Pride*

    a. The first two captains approached Elijah with authority and command. The third captain recognized that he was standing before a representative of God. Ahaziah had already received God's Word through Elijah, yet he continued in rebellion. We must never allow our position, education, wealth, influence or accomplishments to make us feel independent of God. A person may be powerful before people, but completely powerless before God.
    b. The first captain said: *“Man of God, the king has said, ‘Come down!’” — (2 Kings 1:9)*
    He treated God's prophet as though royal authority could override divine authority. Respect for legitimate authority is biblical, but no human authority has the right to demand disobedience to God. When human commands contradict God's Word, believers must remain faithful to God.
    c. The first two captains presumed that Elijah could be compelled by royal command.
    Presumption says, *“I can handle this without God.”* Humility says, *“Lord, I need You.”*
    Every believer should regularly examine his or her heart for hidden pride.

    *Questions*

    (i) Am I allowing my position, possessions, education or achievements to make me less dependent upon God?
    (ii) Is there an area where I am insisting on my own way instead of submitting to God's Word?

    *2. The Posture of Pleading*

    a. The third captain approached Elijah differently. His posture communicated something his predecessors had failed to understand: God deserves reverence.
    The captain fell on his knees. Kneeling is not merely a physical posture; it represents a heart that acknowledges God's greatness.
    We should cultivate humility in prayer, worship, decision-making and relationships.
    b. The third captain did not demand. He pleaded: *“Man of God, please let my life and the life of these fifty servants of yours be precious in your sight.”*
    He appealed to mercy rather than personal entitlement.When we face impossible situations, our first response should be prayer rather than panic, manipulation or human schemes. God's throne is a throne of grace.
    c. The third captain did not plead only for himself. He pleaded for the fifty men under his responsibility. God places people around us who need our prayers. Parents should intercede for children. Pastors should pray for congregations. Leaders should pray for those under their care. Christians should pray for friends, neighbours, communities and even those who oppose them.

    *Questions*

    (i.) When confronted by crisis, is prayer my first response or my last resort?
    (ii) Who are the people God has placed under my influence for whom I should be interceding?

    *3. The Power of Prophetic Word*

    a. God responded to the humble approach of the third captain. *“And the angel of the LORD said to Elijah, ‘Go down with him; do not be afraid of him."* The same prophet who had been associated with judgment now became the instrument through which God's Word was delivered.
    Elijah went with the captain because God instructed him to do so. God's Word is not a suggestion. It is the authoritative standard by which believers must live.
    We should not adjust Scripture to suit our preferences; we should adjust our lives to conform to Scriptures.
    b. The king had been given an opportunity to respond to God's warning, but the judgment stood because of his persistent rebellion.
    Hearing God's Word without responding to it is dangerous. Whenever Scripture exposes something wrong in our lives, we should repent rather than defend ourselves.
    c. The chapter ends with the king's death: God's Word ultimately prevails.
    The blessing is not merely in hearing sermons, attending church or possessing Bibles. The blessing comes through hearing and obeying God's Word.
    The question is not only, “What did God say?” but also, “What am I going to do about what God has said?”

    *Questions*

    (i) How do I respond when God's Word corrects something in my life?
    (ii) Is there any instruction from Scripture that I know of, but have been deliberately postponing obeying it?

    *Prayer Points*

    1. Father, deliver me from every form of pride, arrogance, self-reliance and presumption. Give me a humble and teachable heart.
    2. Lord, teach me to seek You first whenever I face difficulties and make me faithful in prayer and intercession.
    3. Lord, help me to faithfully intercede for my family, church, friends and everyone You have placed under my influence.
    4. Father, give me grace not merely to hear Your Word, but to obey it faithfully, even when obedience is difficult.

    ```KEY VERSE:``` _*"And he sent again a captain of the third fifty with his fifty. And the third captain of fifty went up, and came and fell on his knees before Elijah, and besought him, and said unto him, O man of God, I pray thee, let my life, and the life of these fifty thy servants, be precious in thy sight" (2 KINGS 1:13).*_
    *Bishop Latimer, delivering a sermon before King Henry VIII, offended the King with his candidness. The king ordered Latimer to repeat the message the following Sunday and apologise publicly for his "offence". Latimer approached the pulpit and began by reflecting on the gravity of his audience, acknowledging the King's power to cut short his life. However, he recalled his obligation to God, whose message he preached and whom he knew had ultimate authority over his fate. With this conviction, he resolutely preached the same sermon with greater fervour, demonstrating that his reverence for God outweighed his fear of earthly power. It was an obeying-God-rather-than-men situation.*
    *The captain of the third fifty soldiers sent by King Ahaziah to arrest Prophet Elijah seemed to be conscious of this principle when he adopted a reverential approach, unlike his predecessors. Ahaziah, the king of Israel, had been hurt by a fall. He sent messengers to Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron, to inquire whether he would recover. Elijah accosted the king's messengers and sent them back with the message that the apostate Ahaziah would die. The infuriated king issued a warrant for Elijah's arrest. The first band of 50 soldiers, led by a captain, arrogantly commanded Elijah, in the name of the king, to come down from the hill where he was. The prophet was moved to call down fire upon them, and they were consumed by it. Unfortunately, a second contingent behaved similarly and suffered the same fate.*
    *The captain of the third contingent sent by Ahaziah was not only wiser but also God-fearing. He approached the man of God with utmost respect and pleaded for his life to be spared. It is no wonder that an angel of God instructed Elijah to go with the captain to King Ahaziah. By doing so, the captain demonstrated what it takes to do the will of God even within the context of an ungodly authority.*
    *An attitude and action of humble submission to God, even at the risk of losing a job, fortune or opportunity, has always attracted divine favour. If you ever find yourself in a situation where pleasing men, no matter how powerful, means displeasing God, adopt the obeying-God-rather-than-men option. Those who do so always turn out to be the ultimate winners.*
    Zeinab was a talkative and proud girl who loved to boast about her father's wealth. One day, while chatting and playing with other children at an amusement park, a man with an evil intention overheard her narrating to her friends how one of her father's customers brought a bag full of cash to her dad for some goods purchased! The bad man alerted his criminal gang about the information he got through Zeinab's loose tongue.
    While Zeinab and her parents were on their way back home that Saturday evening, the gang overtook their car, blocked their way and shot into the air. They grabbed Zeinab from her parents at gunpoint and sped off with her in their unmarked car. The kidnappers later called her father on phone and demanded a huge sum of money as ransom in exchange for Zeinab's release.
    Though the kidnappers were eventually arrested by security forces after about eight days, Zeinab missed her Common Entrance Examinations. Through the confession of the criminals, Zeinab later realised her error, repented and surrendered her heart and tongue to Jesus.
    *When a heart is dirty with sin, the tongue becomes talkative, evil and deadly. But a heart washed in the blood of Jesus produces a Holy Spirit controlled tongue of peace, comfort and blessing. Your life, heart and tongue can be cleansed today, if you bring them to Jesus in a prayer of repentance. He will wash you clean.*
    ```rayer:``` _*Lord Jesus, please wash my heart with Your blood, and let my tongue speak only what pleases You, in Jesus name.*_ 🏽

    2. Morning Prayer for today.

    MP.i. Morning Prayer

    And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some [is]; but exhorting [one another]: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. ⏤ Hebrews 10:24-25

    The man who mobilizes the Christian church to pray will make the greatest contribution to world evangelization in history. ⏤ Andrew Murray

    Son of God, this is Your day, and we want to dedicate it completely to You. On this day, You rose from the grave, defeating death and bringing life to the world. We thank You for Your victory. We thank You for this day, which reminds us of Your completed redemption every week.

    Make this an uplifting day for us. Help us to keep it holy for You. Give us a peaceful heart. Prepare us this morning to receive the richest blessings of Your love that may come our way today. May we open our hearts wide while You pour down blessings. May the public and private reading of Your word bring us messages that enrich our lives. May Your word enter into our hearts so deeply that it purifies and sweetens all aspects of our lives. May this Sunday’s communion with You keep us close to You all day, so that the warmth of Your love fills our souls, making us more like You.

    We pray for all those who will speak for You today—whether in a large congregation or in a quiet room with just a few listeners, or even by the wayside to just one soul. Bless all Sunday school teachers, missionaries, and those who bring the gospel message to prisons, hospitals, and other places of need. Give Your word power, and may it break through hardened hearts or bring comfort to those who are grieving.

    May this day be a rich blessing to our home. Stay with us, keep us close, and pour Your love on us, making our lives more beautiful and preparing us to be a greater blessing to others tomorrow. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

  • Good morning, brethren.

    1. Morning devotion for today.

    MD.i. MORNING TEA
    THE WORD FOR TODAY.
    SUNDAY OCTOBER 11, 2O26.

If you understand this principle, you’ll be given even more critical questions to answer, and in time, you will be the one giving the questions to others.’ Bible In A Year: 2 Sam 20:1 – 22:30, John 4:1-12, Ps 100, Pro 23:22-28. [10/10, 6:53 pm] Pastor Attah: *MEDITATIONS ON DAILY ⓂANNA* SUNDAY, 11TH OCTOBER, 2026 *THE POWER OF HUMILITY BEFORE GOD* *TEXT:* 2 KINGS 1:13–18* 13. *Timeless Truth* _Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up_ ( James 4:10) *INTRODUCTION* In 1996, during the Dunblane school tragedy in Scotland, teacher Gwen Mayor and others acted with extraordinary courage to protect children when a gunman entered the school. *1. The Danger of Pride* a. The first two captains approached Elijah with authority and command. The third captain recognized that he was standing before a representative of God. Ahaziah had already received God's Word through Elijah, yet he continued in rebellion. We must never allow our position, education, wealth, influence or accomplishments to make us feel independent of God. A person may be powerful before people, but completely powerless before God. b. The first captain said: *“Man of God, the king has said, ‘Come down!’” — (2 Kings 1:9)* He treated God's prophet as though royal authority could override divine authority. Respect for legitimate authority is biblical, but no human authority has the right to demand disobedience to God. When human commands contradict God's Word, believers must remain faithful to God. c. The first two captains presumed that Elijah could be compelled by royal command. Presumption says, *“I can handle this without God.”* Humility says, *“Lord, I need You.”* Every believer should regularly examine his or her heart for hidden pride. *Questions* (i) Am I allowing my position, possessions, education or achievements to make me less dependent upon God? (ii) Is there an area where I am insisting on my own way instead of submitting to God's Word? *2. The Posture of Pleading* a. He pleaded: *“Man of God, please let my life and the life of these fifty servants of yours be precious in your sight.”* He appealed to mercy rather than personal entitlement.When we face impossible situations, our first response should be prayer rather than panic, manipulation or human schemes. *Questions* (i.) When confronted by crisis, is prayer my first response or my last resort? (ii) Who are the people God has placed under my influence for whom I should be interceding? *3. The Power of Prophetic Word* a. The question is not only, “What did God say?” but also, “What am I going to do about what God has said?” *Questions* (i) How do I respond when God's Word corrects something in my life? (ii) Is there any instruction from Scripture that I know of, but have been deliberately postponing obeying it? *Prayer Points* 1. Father, deliver me from every form of pride, arrogance, self-reliance and presumption. Give me a humble and teachable heart.🙏 2. Lord, teach me to seek You first whenever I face difficulties and make me faithful in prayer and intercession.🙏 3. Lord, help me to faithfully intercede for my family, church, friends and everyone You have placed under my influence.🙏 4. Father, give me grace not merely to hear Your Word, but to obey it faithfully, even when obedience is difficult.🙏 *Hymn:* I Surrender All *THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: LUKE 22* [10/10, 7:30 pm] Pastor Attah: ```DAILY Ⓜ️ANNA - (A DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE FOR ADULTS) SUNDAY 11TH OCTOBER, 2026``` *HUMBLE SUBMISSION HAS IT* 📓📖🎚️🫵🏽🙋🏽‍♂️🙋🏽‍♀️🧎🏽🧎🏽‍♀️🙏🏽 📜📜```TEXT:2 KINGS 1:13-18```📜📜 🔑📖```KEY VERSE:``` _*"And he sent again a captain of the third fifty with his fifty. The king ordered Latimer to repeat the message the following Sunday and apologise publicly for his "offence". Latimer approached the pulpit and began by reflecting on the gravity of his audience, acknowledging the King's power to cut short his life. However, he recalled his obligation to God, whose message he preached and whom he knew had ultimate authority over his fate. With this conviction, he resolutely preached the same sermon with greater fervour, demonstrating that his reverence for God outweighed his fear of earthly power. It was an obeying-God-rather-than-men situation.* *The captain of the third fifty soldiers sent by King Ahaziah to arrest Prophet Elijah seemed to be conscious of this principle when he adopted a reverential approach, unlike his predecessors. Ahaziah, the king of Israel, had been hurt by a fall. He sent messengers to Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron, to inquire whether he would recover. Elijah accosted the king's messengers and sent them back with the message that the apostate Ahaziah would die. The infuriated king issued a warrant for Elijah's arrest. The first band of 50 soldiers, led by a captain, arrogantly commanded Elijah, in the name of the king, to come down from the hill where he was. The prophet was moved to call down fire upon them, and they were consumed by it. Unfortunately, a second contingent behaved similarly and suffered the same fate.* *The captain of the third contingent sent by Ahaziah was not only wiser but also God-fearing. He approached the man of God with utmost respect and pleaded for his life to be spared. It is no wonder that an angel of God instructed Elijah to go with the captain to King Ahaziah. By doing so, the captain demonstrated what it takes to do the will of God even within the context of an ungodly authority.* *An attitude and action of humble submission to God, even at the risk of losing a job, fortune or opportunity, has always attracted divine favour. If you ever find yourself in a situation where pleasing men, no matter how powerful, means displeasing God, adopt the obeying-God-rather-than-men option. Those who do so always turn out to be the ultimate winners.* ✍🏽```THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:``` _*Virtue never loses a battle.*_ 📜📜```THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:``` *LUKE 22*📜📜 Humble Submission Has It https://dailymanna.app// *RECOMMENDED GOSPEL HYMNS AND SONGS - GHS 259: MORE LIKE THE MASTER; GHS 216: MORE ABOUT JESUS WOULD I KNOW; AND GHS 258: OH, TO BE LIKE THEE* *TXD [THEXDEVOTIONALS] on Twitter* *#DailyManna11thOctober2026* *#GCK* *#WorshipNuggets* *#BibleNuggets* *#LeadershipNuggets* *#RevivalNuggets* *#CrusadeNuggets* https://www.youtube.com/[THEXDEVOTIONALS] [10/10, 7:30 pm] Pastor Attah: ```DEEPER CHRISTIAN LIFE MINISTRY``` _*HIGHER EVERYD🅰️Y: (A DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE FOR YOUTHS)*_ ✍🏽👩🏻‍💼🌻 🍇🙏🏽🛰🚀🔬📚 ```SUNDAY 11TH OCTOBER, 2026``` *THE ROLE OF THE GIRL-CHILD* 🎚️📓📖🫵🏽🙋🏽‍♀️👧🏻👩🏽🧎🏽‍♀️🙏🏽 📜📜```TEXT:PSALM 144:11-15```📜📜 📖``` MEMORY VERSE:``` _*"That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth; that our daughters may be as corner stones, polished after the similitude of a palace" (PSALM 144:12).*_ *"The courage, hope and determination of girls are a force to be reckoned with. One day, while chatting and playing with other children at an amusement park, a man with an evil intention overheard her narrating to her friends how one of her father's customers brought a bag full of cash to her dad for some goods purchased! The bad man alerted his criminal gang about the information he got through Zeinab's loose tongue. While Zeinab and her parents were on their way back home that Saturday evening, the gang overtook their car, blocked their way and shot into the air. They grabbed Zeinab from her parents at gunpoint and sped off with her in their unmarked car. The kidnappers later called her father on phone and demanded a huge sum of money as ransom in exchange for Zeinab's release. Though the kidnappers were eventually arrested by security forces after about eight days, Zeinab missed her Common Entrance Examinations. Through the confession of the criminals, Zeinab later realised her error, repented and surrendered her heart and tongue to Jesus. *When a heart is dirty with sin, the tongue becomes talkative, evil and deadly. MARK 1-3.

    ED.ii. GOD WANTS TO HELP YOU

    "People of Zion, who live in Jerusalem, you will weep no more. How gracious He will be when you cry for help! As soon as He hears, He will answer you." - Isaiah 30:19

    This Scripture says that the Lord will help us when we call to Him. When difficulties arise, people either go away from God or to God. When there are problems, when there is a catastrophe, such as during the Second World War, the churches are full again and people start to pray.

    However, it is does not necessarily mean that difficulties will always bring people closer to God. On the contrary, it may well be that a person hardens his or her heart, just like King Ahab did. 'Ahab did more to arouse the anger of the Lord, the God of Israel, than did all the kings of Israel before him' (1 Kings 16:33).

    Do not forget to consult God

    People try to find all kinds of solutions to their problems, but God is not seen as one of the options. So-called Christians visit and participate in paranormal conferences.

    Many Christians - and also the government - forget to consult God. They make plans and take their own decisions. However, God cannot help us unless we first ask Him for advice.

    If you do not go to the living God with your plans, you are building your house on sand. When a storm comes, your house will be blown away.

    If you are in such a state, if you are disappointed and keep thinking about what happened, do what the prodigal son did. He decided to go to his father, who welcomed him with open arms.

    The Lord Jesus wants to bless you. He wants to heal you and take you out of your difficulties. He is ready to help you with open arms.

    2. Evening Prayer for today.

    EP.i. Evening Prayer

    Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if [there be any] wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. ⏤ Psalm 139:23-24

    God delights to answer the prayer of faith. ⏤ Samuel Chadwick

    Dear heavenly Father, our hearts are filled with gratitude tonight as we think about how wisely You’ve led us this week. It’s been a week full of loving-kindness and tender mercy. You’ve walked with us every day and guarded us every night. You’ve brought us many blessings that will make this week bright in our memory. We’ve met new friends, read new books, had prayers answered, and found new joys. For all these things, we are very grateful.

    Look over the record of this week, which is now laid out before You. You see the spots and stains—things we did that we shouldn’t have, and things we left undone that we should have done. Speak forgiveness to our hearts. We also ask for the grace to make the coming week better than this one. We can’t change the past, but we want to make the most of what’s left. Prepare us for the Lord’s Day, and may Sunday prepare us for the new week. Let Your Word search our hearts and reveal anything that’s not right—then make us clean.

    Tonight, we pray for Your ministers who are preparing for tomorrow’s work. Fill them with Your Spirit, and lead them to the truth they need to share with Your people. Give them messages that bring life, peace, and comfort. Teach them what You want them to say. Hold them close to Your heart tonight so they’ll be ready for their sacred work. Give them empathy, so they can connect with those they’ll serve. Baptize them with a sense of human need, so they can truly help those who are hungry for the bread of life. We ask all this in Jesus' precious name. Amen.

Amen. https://www.youdevotion.com/daily-prayer/miller/06/evening #taptapstudio #youdevotion.

  • # Notes on Ephesians 1:3-6 - The Greatest Blessings

    ## Summary
    The speaker delivers a passionate sermon on Ephesians 1:3-6, emphasizing the profound spiritual blessings believers have in Christ. He highlights that these blessings—being chosen, predestined, and adopted—are far superior to any material wealth or earthly achievement. The sermon encourages a life of holiness and blamelessness as a natural response to God's grace and calls for deep reflection and praise for these eternal truths.

    ## Highlights
    - **Overwhelming Nature of the Text:** The speaker is deeply moved by Ephesians 1:3-6, finding it so profound that his words struggle to do it justice, suggesting a supernatural revelation is needed for full understanding.
    - **Ephesians as a Christological Document:** Ephesians is described as one of the most solid Christological documents, exalting Jesus Christ's person and work, and the believer's position in Him.
    - **Transformative Power of Ephesians:** Studying Ephesians is presented as a life-changing experience, capable of transforming identity in Christ, faith, and daily practice.
    - **Longest Sentence in the New Testament:** Paul's writing in Ephesians 1:3-14 is noted as the longest sentence in the Greek New Testament, indicating his excitement and deep spiritual revelation.
    - **Praise Precedes Blessing:** Paul's immediate burst into praise ("Blessed be the God and Father...") before detailing the blessings challenges the common human tendency to bless God only after receiving tangible benefits.
    - **Spiritual Blessings vs. Material Blessings:** The sermon contrasts the American church's focus on tangible blessings with the spiritual, eternal blessings found in Ephesians 1, urging a shift in focus from this temporary life to eternity.
    - **First Blessing: Chosen Before the Foundation of the World (Ephesians 1:4):** God's sovereign choice of believers before creation, irrespective of their merit, sin, or circumstances. This choice implies God's preservation of individuals until their salvation.
    - **Responsibility of the Chosen:** Being chosen comes with the responsibility to live a holy and blameless life, reflecting God's glory. Holiness is presented as a natural desire stemming from this theological understanding.
    - **Second Blessing: Predestined for Adoption (Ephesians 1:5):** God's act of love in predestining believers for adoption as His children through Jesus Christ, according to His will. Predestination is linked to God's overarching purpose to create a family for Himself.
    - **Security in Adoption:** The adopted status provides security, assuring believers that nothing in life can thwart God's plan for them, as He is a faithful adoptive Father.
    - **Reformed Theology vs. Decision Theology:** Acknowledges both predestination and human free will (whosoever will) as taught in scripture, emphasizing the speaker's role in spreading the gospel regardless of not fully understanding the theological interplay.
    - **Call to Action for the Chosen:** Encourages the chosen to care deeply for the unsaved, pray for their salvation, and live lives of obedience, sacrifice, and holiness as a natural response to God's grace.
    - **Rhetorical Question: "What will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his own soul?":** Used to underscore the ultimate worthlessness of earthly gains compared to Christ and eternal salvation.

    ## Key Information/Topics
    - **Ephesians 1:3-6:** The core biblical text for the sermon.
    - **Christology:** The study of Christ, central to the book of Ephesians.
    - **Identity in Christ:** Believers are "saints" (set apart) and "faithful," dual citizens of their nation and the Kingdom of Heaven.
    - **Spiritual vs. Material Blessings:** A critical distinction made throughout the sermon.
    - **Eternity:** Emphasized as the true focus for believers, detaching from the temporary nature of this life.
    - **Election/Chosen:** God's sovereign choice of individuals before creation.
    - **Predestination:** God's purpose to adopt a people for Himself.
    - **Adoption:** The act of God making believers His children, conferring all heavenly blessings.
    - **Holiness and Blamelessness:** The expected lifestyle of those chosen and adopted by God.
    - **Rhetorical Questions:** Used as a powerful communication tool to provoke deep reflection.
    - **Theological Concepts:** Sovereignty of God, human will, grace, salvation.

    ## Explicit Tasks
    - **Practice Praise:** The congregation is asked to practice "blowing the roof off with praise."
    - **Study Ephesians:** Encouragement to read, study, and meditate on Ephesians 1.
    - **Global Fast:** A call for a three-day fast (Thursday, Friday, Saturday) before the "Access" event.
    - **Attend "Access" Prayer Event:** Invitation to gather at AT&T Stadium for an hour of prayer for the nation, families, and loved ones.
    - **Release Tickets:** If unable to attend "Access," release tickets for others to use.
    - **Pray for the Unsaved:** A prayer for God to save unbelievers and open their eyes to the truth.
    - **Live Holy and Blameless:** A call for believers to live lives of obedience, sacrifice, and holiness as a response to their election.

  • SATURDAY MORNING PRAYER!

    “After a Busy Week, Lord, Restore Our Strength, Renew Our Peace, and Refresh Our Souls!”

    SCRIPTURE READING — Matthew 11:28 (KJV)

    “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

    Heavenly Father, in the mighty, matchless, and wonderful name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we come before Your throne of grace this Saturday morning with grateful hearts, lifted hands, and a spirit of thanksgiving!

    Lord, THANK YOU for bringing us through another busy work week! Through the long hours, demanding responsibilities, unexpected challenges, stressful moments, and battles nobody else knew we were fighting, YOU KEPT US!

    When our bodies grew tired, You gave us strength. When our minds became overwhelmed, You gave us peace. When we felt like giving up, Your grace carried us through!

    Your Word declares in Lamentations 3:22–23 (KJV):

    “It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”

    Father, this morning we lay down every burden we carried throughout the week. We surrender the stress, frustration, disappointment, anxiety, and exhaustion. We refuse to allow yesterday's struggles to steal today's blessings!

    Lord, RESTORE what this week has drained!

    Restore our physical strength, renew our minds, refresh our spirits, and replenish our joy. Some are physically exhausted, others are mentally overwhelmed, and some are spiritually weary. But Father, we know that You are the God who restores!

    Your Word declares in Isaiah 40:31 (KJV):

    “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”

    Lord, teach us that resting is not weakness, and being still does not mean we have stopped trusting You. Help us understand that we cannot pour into others when we continually neglect the refreshing of our own souls.

    Father, we pray for everyone who worked hard this week to provide for their families. Bless the labor of their hands. Open doors of opportunity, provide financial increase according to Your will, and give wisdom to manage every blessing You provide.

    We lift up those who are unemployed, underemployed, overworked, underpaid, or struggling to make ends meet. Lord, make a way where there seems to be no way!

    Philippians 4:19 (KJV) reminds us:

    “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

    Father, we also pray for those who are sick, grieving, discouraged, lonely, or silently battling depression and anxiety. Touch their bodies, strengthen their hearts, and remind them that they are never forgotten or abandoned by You.

    Lord, cover our marriages, children, grandchildren, parents, siblings, and entire families. Bring peace into our homes, healing into broken relationships, salvation to unsaved loved ones, and unity where division has tried to take root.

    As we enter this weekend, help us slow down long enough to recognize Your goodness. Let our homes be filled with love, our conversations with kindness, our hearts with gratitude, and our minds with Your peace.

    Your Word declares in Psalm 23:3 (KJV):

    “He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.”

    Father, prepare our hearts for worship. As we look toward another Sunday, give us a renewed hunger for Your Word, a greater desire for Your presence, and a stronger commitment to walking in obedience.

    Lord, let this Saturday be a day of RESTORATION, not frustration; PEACE, not pressure; GRATITUDE, not complaining; and FAITH, not fear!

    We declare that the same God who carried us through this week will strengthen us for whatever lies ahead!

    We may be tired, but we are thankful!

    We may have been tested, but we are still trusting!

    We may have faced difficulties, but we are still standing!

    And through it all, GOD HAS BEEN FAITHFUL!

    Father, we give You all the glory, honor, and praise. Thank You for another morning, another opportunity, another measure of grace, and another chance to experience Your goodness!

    In the mighty, powerful, and precious name of JESUS CHRIST, we pray! AMEN, AMEN, AND AMEN!

    Saturday Morning Encouragement...

    Psalm 118:24 (KJV)

    “This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.”

    Remember this Saturday morning:

    You survived the demands of the week because God's grace sustained you. Don't carry the weight of Friday into the blessings of Saturday.

    REST YOUR BODY. RENEW YOUR MIND. REFRESH YOUR SPIRIT. REJOICE IN THE LORD!

    HAVE A BLESSED, PEACEFUL, AND RESTORING SATURDAY!

  • OBEY FIRST, UNDERSTAND LATER

    Second Timothy 2:4 says, “No one who serves as a soldier gets entangled in civilian life. Rather, he seeks to please the one who sent him.”

    When you receive an order, you lock the door to civilian thinking. All you need to know is: “I am obeying what I was told.”

    If you are told to stand in a place — why are you standing there? “I was told to stand here.” Or, why haven't you left? “They told me not to leave until I've done it.” That's it.

    Your friends can make you disobey. Your brethren can make you disobey. When they cause you to abandon what you were instructed to do, you have entangled yourself with civilian matters.

    You ought to be around fellow soldiers who will keep you up and doing.

    And there is a reward. The reward usually comes later, when you see the outcome of the mission you carried out.

    For every piece you get and obey, you understand later.

    I'm not saying you will understand fully. You may not know what happened when you obeyed. It may even be in heaven that we get to know what happened.

    That is why you must learn to obey first. Obey first. Understand later.

    Good morning and a happy Saturday!
