• Dear Father,

In several places throughout Scripture that narrate the story of Samuel, Scripture recounts, “And the LORD said unto Samuel.” You spoke very often to him, and there was no question as to whether or not it was Your voice he heard. Except for his very first experience, when he went to Eli, thinking it was he who had called him. But Eli said to Samuel, “Go, lie down: and it shall be, if he call thee, that thou shalt say, Speak, LORD; for thy servant heareth.” So Samuel went and lay down in his place.

He had to go back, lie still, and listen again for Your voice. Would I, then, be correct to assume that everyone we look up to as spiritual giants today once walked in ignorance? The prophets whose words never fall to the ground, writers whose articles are both Kingdom related and globally recognized, teachers who rightly divide the word of truth, Kingdom financiers who once could not afford a meal, the list goes on. And like Samuel, perhaps one notable point that helps us build mastery from ignorance is the willingness to go back, lie still, and listen for Your voice.

Perhaps one of mankind’s greatest challenges is stillness. The world is moving, and so are we. Who wants to remain in an atmosphere of prevailing silence, darkness, and what seems like nothingness? Yet, isn’t this often the very place where we find You? Isn't this where we are first taught how to build mastery?

The world is moving, and so are we. But perhaps the greatest movement does not begin when we move, but when we lie still and listen for Your voice.

  • Today, as I enter the stillness of your presents I affirm my commitment to seeking Your will for me through reflection and prayer.

I acknowledge the profound significance of living a life marked by the Spirit’s work within me. I am determined to uphold the silence that invites Your divine presence, seeking to honor the instructions revealed through Scripture.

I will carry the assurance that my identity is bound in You, Abba my Father, knowing my prayers are heard in heaven and that I am accompanied by Your Spirit and angelic beings on this journey toward holiness, as You have already made the way, and all I need to do is learn to walk in that way, knowing that intercession is being made by You, Abba my Father, as well as that Jesus is doing the same, along with the Holy Spirit, all on my behalf.

As I pause in this sacred silence, let me be mindful of the divine orchestration unfolding in my life. May I gracefully embrace my role in Your beautiful narrative, humbly responding to Your call for transformation as I walk this narrow way

  • Pursue What Matters Most

In the book of Romans, Paul begs Christians to give their entire lives over to God because God sacrificed everything for them.

Jesus gave up His life so that we could experience His unending love and grace. We cheapen His gifts if we refuse to align our lives with the way Jesus lived. But we give our lives to God by making Him the one thing we pursue above anything else.

So here are 5 steps you can practice—right now—to help you put God first:

    - Give Thanks
“We give thanks to you, O God; we give thanks, for your name is near. We recount your wondrous deeds.”
    Psalms 75:1 ESV

Right now, take a moment to thank God for what He’s already done for you. Reflect on His faithfulness, and recount the stories you have seen and heard of His wonderful power.

    - Spend 5 Minutes in Silence
“Abide in me, and I in you.”
    John 15:4 ESV

Abiding in Jesus starts with stillness. So right now, pause, take a deep breath, and give anything concerning you over to God. Spend 5 minutes centering your heart on the One who matters most.

    - Remember Whose You Are
“You are not your own, for you were bought with a price.”
    1 Corinthians 6:19-20 ESV

God loves you. The price He paid for you cost Him everything. So remind yourself of whose you are, and reflect on some of the things God says about you.

    - Meditate on God’s Word
“Oh how I love your law! It is my meditation all the day.”
    Psalms 119:97 ESV

One of the best ways to find out how Jesus wants you to live is by spending time in Scripture. As you do, ask God to speak to you through His Word about His will for you.

    - Focus on What is Excellent
“…If there is any excellence … think about these things.”
    Philippians 4:8 ESV

You have been given the mind of Christ. If you’re not sure what you should think about, try asking yourself: What is praiseworthy? What thoughts and actions would honor God? Make a list of whatever comes to mind, and pursue those things.

By practicing these steps every day, you can create habits that will help you pursue intimacy with God every day, and put Him first above everything else.

    Just Be Still.

When you are stressed to the max and every cell in your body is pleading for peace and calm, there is only one way to achieve the quietness you seek, and that is to be still! When everything in your life is going wrong, you’re overworked, bills have piled up, friends desert you, family betrays you, and you just can’t imagine life could get any worse, just be still. The Bible says in Psalm 46:10, “Be still, and know that I am God.” Instead of falling into the deep pit of depression, just be still and allow God to take over! You might feel like that’s exactly what you have been doing but not really getting the divine direction that you seek, and if so, well, then it’s time to evaluate your “stillness.” Are you still by sitting in the driver's seat, your hand on the gear shift, your foot on the gas pedal waiting to speed forward the second you think you know what God wants you to do? Or . . . do you park your car, turn off the engine, and patiently wait for God to whisper to your heart? Being still and listening to God’s voice implies a willingness to trust His perfect timing. One thing you can count on for sure is that God is trustworthy! Nothing can separate you from your Savior, for God has promised in Romans 8:38-39, “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” So the next time you start to become impatient and frustrated with the events happening in your life, just “be still and know that He is God.” Text: Ephesians 2:8-9, Psalm 145:13, Hebrews 11:1-6

  • "Rebuild your daily rhythm with God"
Small, steady habits create long-term recovery.

Reflection: Addiction creates chaos, unpredictable days, disrupted sleep, emotional swings, and a life built around reacting instead of living. Recovery, on the other hand, grows in rhythm. Not perfection. Not rigid schedules. Rhythm. Gentle, steady patterns that help your soul breathe again.

You don’t need to overhaul your whole life. You just need a few simple anchors. A short prayer in the morning. A verse you carry through the day. A moment of stillness before bed. These small practices may seem insignificant, but they rebuild what addiction tore down: stability, clarity, and connection with God.

Daily rhythm is not about checking boxes. It’s about creating space for God to meet you. It’s about slowing down enough to hear His voice instead of the noise of cravings, stress, or old habits. Over time, these rhythms reshape your thinking, strengthen your spirit, and give you the grounding you need to stay steady when life gets heavy.

Recovery doesn’t grow from big emotional moments; it grows from small, faithful ones. When you rebuild your daily rhythm with God, you’re choosing consistency over chaos, connection over isolation, and healing over survival. This is where long‑term change begins to take root.

  • Colossians 3:15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.

In the verses prior to today’s, we saw the Apostle Paul telling the Colossian church to put on virtues like patience, kindness, compassion, humility, etc. but over all of it to put on love which would bind everything together. Then we find ourselves at today’s verse.

Let the peace of Christ rule your hearts. Notice that this was written to the entire church, not to individuals. It speaks of hearts, plural. Each of them was to put on the virtues and bind it all together with love and in doing so the church as a whole would experience the peace of Christ within them.

To review, the peace of Christ is a foundational concept in our theology. It represents an inner stillness, wholeness, or confidence, all coming from God and not within ourselves or through anything we do. It is a spiritual assurance that we have based on our personal relationship with Him. It is this peace that is to rule in our hearts - not just be present, but to reign, to rule in our hearts.

Let’s pause and look at the word rule. The Greek word used for rule is brabeueto. This is an athletic term that means to act as an umpire or referee. It is Christ’s peace that we rely on to help us in making decisions or facing conflict. It helps to determine what is right and brings about resolution. Paul was telling them that when they faced disagreements or needed to make decisions, it was Christ’s peace that was to be the deciding factor in settling their disputes.

As believers we are called into unity. We are one Body. We are all part of one Church. It doesn’t matter that we have different denominations which are a result of disagreements that ended with the forming of new churches. We are still one Body and one Church, all a part of the family of God. We are His children, adopted into the family upon salvation. When there are disagreements, it interrupts fellowship and violates His call to us to let peace rule in our hearts and communities. Resolution needs to be sought immediately to restore the relationships.

We end our verse today with a command to be thankful. Paul told them they need to have gratitude which one could consider the answer to any grumbling and division amongst the church. When we are thankful and show gratitude it is hard to be negative. It is almost as if it rewires our emotions and thinking. You can think of it to be like medicine or an antidote that fixes the problems and brings about healing within the splintered body of Christ.

What is ruling in your heart? Are you fostering an attitude of thankfulness and gratitude? Are you letting peace govern your interactions with your fellow brethren? Take a few moments to evaluate your heart posture and whether you need to seek resolution within the Body. And whatever you find in your heart, turn to Him in gratitude for all He has given you and done in your life.

Just because everything is quiet doesn't mean God has stopped working.

Sometimes God is: Preparing you. Protecting you. Strengthening your faith. Positioning you for what's next.

Being still isn't giving up—it's choosing to trust the One who sees the whole picture when you can only see today.

  • Sunday's Study – July 5th
Why Worship Shouldn’t Wait for Sunday
What keeps us from worshiping God during the week?

Worship was never meant to be limited to a single day. Sunday gathers us, strengthens us, and refocuses us — but real worship continues long after the service ends. Many things pull our hearts away during the week: distraction, routine, and forgetfulness. Life moves fast, and the noise of daily responsibilities often drowns out the quiet moments where God is calling us to pause, remember, and draw near.

Distraction steals our attention. Routine makes worship feel like a Sunday habit instead of a daily relationship. Forgetfulness slowly pushes God to the edges of our schedule, not because He is small, but because our days are loud. Yet Scripture reminds us that worship is not an event — it is a posture. It is found in stillness, in gratitude, in obedience, and in the small choices we make throughout the day.

Weekday worship can be simple: a whispered prayer before work, a moment of gratitude in the car, a verse read at lunch, a choice to forgive, or a quiet “Lord, help me” in a stressful moment. These small acts turn ordinary days into holy ground. Sunday prepares us, but the week is where our worship becomes real.

    Prayer:
Lord, teach us to worship You not only on Sunday, but in the middle of our week, our work, and our worries. Quiet the distractions that pull our hearts away. Remind us of Your presence in every step we take. Help us honor You in the small moments, the busy moments, and the hard moments. Make our lives a daily offering of gratitude, trust, and obedience. In Jesus’ name, amen.

    WHAT’S YOUR VISION IN LIFE

“Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.” – Proverbs 29:18 KJV

Today the Spirit is asking a piercing question: _What’s Your Vision in Life_.

Vision is not ambition dressed up. Vision is God’s picture for your life drawn on the canvas of your spirit. It is what He sees when He looks at you, and what He wants you to see as you walk. Without vision, people drift. Leaders wander. Families fracture. Ministries become events without direction. Proverbs 29:18 says people cast off restraint and perish when there is no vision. But when vision is clear, restraint comes, discipline comes, and joy comes.

The problem is not that God has no plan. The problem is that many have never sat long enough to receive the plan. Habakkuk 2:2 says write the vision and make it plain. God will speak, but you must make room to hear. Vision is birthed in stillness, sharpened by Scripture, and confirmed by counsel. It is not a feeling that comes and goes. It is a burden that stays until obedience delivers it.

Your vision is not about size. It is about alignment. A small vision obeyed will open bigger doors than a big vision hoarded. Moses had a burning bush. Nehemiah had broken walls. David had a sling and a promise. None of them started with platforms. They started with perception. They saw what God saw, and they moved with what was in their hand.

Vision answers three questions for a leader. Where am I going? Why am I going there? Who is coming with me? When those answers are clear, stress reduces because your decisions have a filter. Every opportunity is weighed by one question: does this serve the vision God gave me? If it does not, it is a distraction, no matter how good it looks.

The seventh month is a month of perfection and open doors. But doors without direction become detours. Joy without aim becomes noise. God is opening doors, but He is also asking you to define the destination. What is the picture He has planted in you for your family, your work, your ministry, Prayer Force Network, your community? Do not bury it because it looks too simple. Do not trade it because the waiting is long. Write it. Pray it. Protect it. Run with it.

God gives vision to those who will carry it with faith and finish it with obedience. Your vision is not just about you. It is about the people who will find life when you walk in purpose. The world is waiting for the version of you that agrees with heaven.

    Prayer For Today
Father, open the eyes of my heart to see Your vision for my life. Remove every fog of distraction and every noise of comparison. Write Your plan on the tablet of my heart and make it plain. Give me the discipline to write it down, the faith to believe it, and the obedience to run with it. Let my life reflect the picture You drew before I was born. I will not perish for lack of vision. I will live and declare the works of the Lord. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

    Today's Declaration
I have vision. I see what God sees. My life has direction, purpose, and divine clarity. I write the vision and I run with it. Distractions have no power over me. I keep the law of God and joy fills my path. I am not drifting. I am led. I am not guessing. I am guided.

    Bible Reading Plan
    Proverbs 29:18, Habakkuk 2:2-3, Genesis 13:14-15, Jeremiah 1:11-12, Acts 26:19, Luke 4:17-19, Ephesians 1:17-18

    Today’s Action
Take fifteen minutes with a pen and paper right now. Ask God, “What is the vision You have for my life this season?” Write whatever He drops in your spirit. Make it plain. One sentence for your family, one for your work, one for your calling. Then read it aloud. Vision grows when it is spoken. Post it where you will see it daily. A written vision becomes a walked vision. Do not wait for perfect clarity. Move with the light you have. God will add more as you go.

DAILY LEADERSHIP BOOST (DLB) SATURDAY, 4 JULY 2026 WHAT’S YOUR VISION IN LIFE “Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.” – Proverbs 29:18 KJV Today the Spirit is asking a piercing question: _What’s Your Vision in Life_.
