Wednesday Encouragement — Thankful for His Faithfulness Blessings, dear brothers and sisters in Christ. As we reach the midpoint of another week, let us pause from our responsibilities and concerns and simply say, Thank You, Lord. There is so much for which we can give thanks. Our sovereign God has sustained us, provided for our needs, answered prayers according to His perfect will, and granted us blessings that we sometimes overlook in the busyness of everyday life. But today I am especially thankful that God continues to keep the Gospel flowing. The world may be troubled, governments may change, economies may struggle, and opposition to biblical truth may increase, but none of these things can stop the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Across nations and cultures, God’s Word continues to be proclaimed. Churches are being established, pastors are preaching, believers are being discipled, children are learning Scripture, families are being encouraged, and precious souls are hearing about salvation through Jesus Christ. What a privilege that our Lord allows us to participate in His work! We must always remember that this ministry belongs to Him. Every open door, every person reached, every church strengthened, and every life transformed is evidence of His grace—not our accomplishments. Paul reminds us: “I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.” — 1 Corinthians 3:6 We plant. We water. We pray. We give. We serve. But God gives the increase. So today, rather than concentrating upon everything that is wrong with the world, let us rejoice in what our sovereign God is doing within it. Let us thank Him for every person who faithfully prays for this ministry, every supporter who sacrificially gives, every pastor who courageously proclaims His Word, and every believer who quietly serves Christ where God has placed them. And let us pray that the Gospel will continue flowing into homes, villages, communities, and nations until countless more hear the wonderful truth that Jesus Christ saves. “O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.” — Psalm 107:1 May gratitude fill our hearts today, and may we never cease giving glory to the One who makes all things possible. WHEN GOD DOESN'T FIX WHAT WE WANT FIXED Mark 1:36 -37) Simon and his companions went to look for him, and when they found him, they exclaimed: “Everyone is looking for you!” When Jesus went to a solitary place to pray, disciples looked out to him and explained everyone is looking for Him.....but Jesus choose to go somewhere else knowing very well the crowd was waiting for Him. The passage illustrates that Jesus had the power to heal but He seemed to turn His back on them. It's hard to understand why Jesus heals or responds to prayers and sometimes He doesn't and that feels like He is walking away. Many times we focus on unanswered prayer,hurt and pain in our lives but God is focused on a bigger picture. God wants to restore our relationship with him more than anything else. Regardless we can choose with a voice of praise ,thanking God in all circumstances...whether God answers or not. 1 Thessalonians 5:16 -18) Rejoice evermore, Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Wednesday, 19th August, 2026 TITLE: "MORE THAN A CONQUEROR THROUGH CHRIST" ANCHOR SCRIPTURE(S) Romans 8:37 (KJV) "Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us." 1 Corinthians 15:57 (KJV) "But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." QUOTE TO REFLECT ON "Victory is not the absence of battles; it is overcoming them through Christ." DAY'S REFLECTION Every believer will encounter battles—difficult circumstances, disappointments, opposition, temptations, and moments when life seems overwhelming. Yet Scripture gives us a powerful assurance: we are more than conquerors through Christ. Romans 8:37 says, "In all these things we are more than conquerors." The phrase "more than conquerors" points to complete and overwhelming victory. Paul was not saying that believers would never face difficulties. In fact, the surrounding passage speaks of tribulation, distress, persecution, and hardship. The message is that none of these things has the final authority over a believer who is anchored in Christ. Our victory comes "through him that loved us." We do not overcome merely through our own determination, intelligence, wealth, or physical strength. Christ's love, grace, and power are the foundation of our victory. Paul gives another reason for thanksgiving in 1 Corinthians 15:57: "God...giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." Notice that victory is described as a gift. We receive it through Christ. This reminds us that our confidence should not be in ourselves but in the finished work and continuing power of Jesus. Being victorious does not mean that every battle will end exactly as we expect. Sometimes God changes the situation; sometimes He changes us while we walk through it. But through Christ, we can emerge stronger in faith, deeper in character, and more confident in God's faithfulness. Life may present you with situations that seem bigger than your ability. You may feel surrounded by problems or uncertain about tomorrow. Do not allow the size of the battle to make you forget the greatness of our God. Face today's challenges with faith. Pray instead of panicking. Stand on God's Word instead of surrendering to fear. Give thanks even before you see the outcome, because your confidence is in Christ. You are not fighting for victory alone—you are standing in the victory Christ has already made available to you. MEDITATION SCRIPTURE(S) 2 Corinthians 2:14 (KJV) "Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place." 1 John 4:4 (KJV) "Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world." LIFE LESSONS (IMPLICATIONS) 1. Victory comes through Christ, not human strength alone. 2. Difficult circumstances do not cancel God's purpose for our lives. 3. We can face challenges with confidence because Christ is with us. 4. Thanksgiving strengthens our focus on God's faithfulness rather than our problems. 5. The presence of Christ within us is greater than every opposition around us. EVERYDAY ACTION Face today's challenges with faith, thanksgiving, and confidence in Christ rather than fear. PRAYER Heavenly Father, thank You for giving me victory through Jesus Christ. Strengthen me to overcome every challenge and help me remain confident in Your love and power. In Jesus' name, Amen. ENTER HIS PRESENCE WITH THANKFULNESS 📖 Psalm 100:4-5 "Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him and bless his name! For the Lord is good; his love endures forever, and his faithfulness continues through all generations." Psalm 100 calls the whole world to come before God with joy, gratitude, and praise. The psalmist bases this invitation on three certainties: - God is good - His goodness endures - His faithfulness never changes. Gratitude does not depend on what we are experiencing today, but on who God is. Even when circumstances are difficult, his goodness endures and his faithfulness remains intact. Looking to God's faithfulness changes how we face the future. He who was faithful yesterday will be faithful again tomorrow. Praise then becomes a declaration of faith: “Lord, I don’t understand everything, but I know that you are good and faithful. This morning, take a few moments to remember your faithfulness. Thank you for what you have already done, for what you are doing now, and for what you will yet accomplish. Gratitude prepares your heart to see God’s work in your life. Lord, thank you for your goodness and faithfulness. Today I’m giving thanks to God for His blessing and healing, a simple surgery procedure that was made easier and low impact because of His grace and hand in the process, and the people He sent to move all necessary parts. Jeremiah 17:14 says: "Heal me, Lord, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise."
