  • OUR FREEDOM HAS A NAME... IT'S CALLED SACRIFICE.

Every freedom we enjoy today was purchased by the courage of men and women who answered the call to serve.

Some came home with medals. Some came home with scars. Some never made it home.

Today, we honor every veteran who stood in the gap so generations after them could live in freedom. Your courage inspires us. Your sacrifice humbles us. Your service will never be forgotten.

But honoring our veterans doesn't stop with saying "Thank you."

Check on them. Pray for them. Encourage them. Stand beside them.

Sometimes the greatest way to honor a hero is simply letting them know they're not alone.

If you support our veterans, comment with a or write "THANK YOU" below. Let's flood the comments with gratitude and remind every veteran who sees this that they are loved, appreciated, and never forgotten.

  • WHEN WAS THE FIRST DISABILITY PENSION IN THE USA WAS ESTABLISHED? IN 1776!

SYNOPSIS: The origins of disability benefits in the United States go back to the Revolutionary War, when the Continental Congress voted to support soldiers wounded in the fight for independence. History enthusiasts, students, veterans, seniors and people with disabilities want to understand where the American social security tradition actually began, which shows that care for disabled veterans was written into the fabric of the nation before the country itself was fully formed. • THREE ANGELS BROADCASTING NETWORK DEVOTIONAL.
Ears to Hear and a Heart to Obey.

    By Shelley Quinn

    July 9th, 2026

So it was, when Elijah heard it [the still small voice]…he…stood in the entrance of the cave. Suddenly a voice came to him, and said, "What are you doing here, Elijah?" 1 Kings 19:13

When I answered God’s call to full-time ministry, He immediately opened an opportunity to appear on a Christian network that had excellent coverage throughout the Southwest. It was only a three-hour drive from our home.

One day, as I made the return trek from their studios, God startled me. Headed east on I-20, I slowed for the Sweetwater exit. As usual, I followed the frontage road for half a mile, and turned right onto a state highway. At that intersection was a service station. I glanced to my right and noticed a red pickup truck. I saw the head of the man filling the tank.

Immediately I was impressed with this thought, Go pray for that man!

For months, God had been teaching me to listen to His still small voice—that gentle impression on your mind that doesn’t originate from you. But the idea of stopping to pray for this total stranger seemed absurd.

“Is this me, Lord, or is this You?” I repeatedly asked, driving onward. The impression got stronger. I debated with God for five minutes.

When will you learn to obey Me immediately?

I knew it was God. Begging for forgiveness, I screeched to a halt and whipped the car around, all the while thinking the man would be long gone by the time I returned.

My heart sank when I didn’t see his pickup at the pump, but there it was, in front of the station’s store. He stood beside it—on crutches—speaking in Spanish to a couple. Oh, no, I don’t speak Spanish.

I eased toward them, timidly waiting for their conversation to end, and earnestly prayed for guidance. Will he think I’m a kook? Looking up, he noticed me. Now what?

“Shelley Quinn!” He blurted out with a smile. “I watch you on TV.”

Relief flooded my anxious mind. I explained how God had directed me to him to pray, and I didn’t know why. As it turned out, he was en route to a veteran’s hospital to have his leg amputated.

I prayed earnestly, claiming God’s promises, requesting a miracle. Then God changed the direction of my prayer. If the leg had to be amputated, I prayed he would be completely pain-free and that his testimony would glorify God. Giving him my phone number, I requested an update. Four weeks later, he called.

“Guess what God did for me?” he spoke enthusiastically. “I had no post-operative pain from the trauma of the amputation. The medical staff couldn’t believe I didn’t even ask for an aspirin. I explained how God had sent you to pray for me. They were so impressed, they wheeled me up and down to pray with other veterans. I ministered the whole time I was hospitalized.”

Oh, Lord, give us ears to hear Your still small voice, and a heart that is always quick to obey.

  • 250 YEARS OF FREEDOM!

Today we celebrate 250 years of the United States of America—a nation founded on the belief that freedom is a gift worth protecting.

As we honor our country's history, let's also remember the greatest freedom of all...

The freedom found in Jesus Christ.

No matter your past... No matter your failures... No matter the chains you've carried...

God's grace is greater. His mercy is new every morning, and His love never fails.

Today I'm praying for America... For our families. For our military and veterans. For our first responders. For our leaders. And for hearts across this nation to turn back to God.

"Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord."

Happy 250th Birthday, America! May God continue to bless, protect, and guide this great nation.

Tell me... What does freedom mean to YOU?
