Let your heart guard my commands, because they will help you live a long time and provide you with well-being." Psalm 119:105 — "Your word is a lamp before my feet and a light for my journey." Walking the path of faith requires a steady anchor and a discerning heart. In a world full of shifting opinions, loud voices, and subtle spiritual errors, God has not left us to guess. He has given us His living, active Word as a reliable standard to guide our steps, protect our minds, and draw us closer to Him. True spiritual sensitivity begins when we approach the Scriptures with a humble and teachable spirit. Instead of forcing our own desires onto the text, we allow the Bible to search our hearts, correct our motives, and shape our character unfolding a life of genuine obedience and daily renewal. This kind of submission is not a burden; it is an act of deep trust in a loving Father who knows what is best for us. When we hide God's truth in our hearts, we build a natural defense against deception arming our minds with discernment and anchoring our souls against the shifting tides of the world. We learn to spot the counterfeits—messages that flatter human pride, promise cheap grace, or distort the character of Jesus Christ. Grounded in Scripture, we can test every teaching against the unchanging truth of the Gospel. Ultimately, submitting to God's Word transforms how we live each day. It moves us from merely hearing spiritual truths to actively putting them into practice through love, obedience, and service. As we let His word be a lamp to our feet, we walk with confidence, knowing we are anchored in the truth that never fails. The key to having true sensitivity to God’s Word involves our having true discernment working in our lives on a daily basis: True discernment always uses the Bible as the final authority. It is not based on gut feelings, cultural trends, or personal intuition. How it works: Just as a bank teller is trained to spot counterfeit bills by studying real currency exhaustively, a believer sharpens discernment by deeply knowing the absolute truth of God's Word. Discernment is not merely an intellectual skill; it is a spiritual fruit made possible by a close walk with God. How it works: The Holy Spirit actively lives inside every believer to act as an internal compass, giving a sense of spiritual alignment or warning when something contradicts God's character. Truth always produces godliness, humility, love, and a high view of Jesus Christ. Error eventually produces pride, division, exploitation, or unrepentant sin. How it works: When evaluating a teaching, movement, or leader, look past the initial presentation or emotional appeal to examine the long-term character and spiritual fruit it leaves behind. CLOSING PRAYER: Heavenly Father, grant me a discerning heart anchored deeply in Your unchanging Word. Protect my mind from deception, and let Your Holy Spirit guide my every step. Help me to test all things with your wisdom Lord, walk in humble obedience, and reflect the love of Jesus Christ in a world so easily lost in the dark. Amen.

Darkness is often synonymous with sin and wickedness. In this text, Paul makes it clear that believers were once in darkness but are now in the light of the Lord. He urges them to live as children of the light and have nothing to do with darkness. Instead, expose it through righteous and truthful deeds that pleases the Lord. Christians are living amidst ungodly people whose behaviours and priorities conflict with the word of God. Will you compromise to belong or stand out as light? As a youth, your life must radiate the light of Christ wherever you are - in school, at work, in business, and in search of a job or a life partner. Is your light shinning? So the soldiers cut the ropes that held the lifeboat and let it drift away." - Acts 27:31-32 Paul said this when they were in a big storm on a ship at sea. This shipwreck story is often preached; however, we do not often hear about the lifeboat which belonged to the ship. The workers on the ship wanted to use this boat to secretly get away. They knew that if the ship was tossed against the rocks, they would all perish. Moreover, there were 276 people on board. How do you get them all in one lifeboat? They were cowards and wanted to leave the ship to save their own skin. Paul warned the captain and said: 'If they do not stay on board, you will not be saved.' Jesus Christ, the only Lifeboat The lifeboat would not offer any chance to survive on the stormy sea where they had been floating for two weeks. Paul knew this. I do not know much about ships, but one thing is certain: when there is a chance for shipwreck, the first question is: 'where is the lifeboat?' I have an important question: do we all understand the meaning and importance of a lifeboat when it comes to the salvation of our souls? When your soul is in great need, do you have a lifeboat? Today I want to ask you to investigate the lifeboat before your soul venture on board. For many people their lifeboat is their 'good works.' However, you will not get to heaven with these. There are many leaky lifeboats and people think these will save their souls. I would like to convince people through the Holy Spirit to step into the only safe lifeboat which will bring you to heaven. That lifeboat cannot be smashed. The wood comes from the cross on Calvary. Throughout the ages, this Lifeboat brings shipwrecks into safe harbor day and night. This Lifeboat never fails and is big enough for everyone. The Bible’s Big Story The Bible is one unified book telling the story of God’s glory through creation, humanity’s rebellion, God’s covenant promises, and their complete fulfillment in Jesus Christ. Everything moves toward Christ’s preeminence. The Old Testament prepares the way; the New Testament reveals Him as the fulfillment. Together they form 66 inspired books—39 in the Old Testament and 27 in the New. The Old Testament (39 Books): God’s Promises and Preparation The Old Testament shows God creating the world, choosing a people, giving them His law, and promising a coming King who would fix what sin broke. It repeatedly points forward to the Messiah. Law (Pentateuch – 5 books): Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy. These lay the foundation. Genesis shows creation, the fall, and God’s first promises. Exodus–Deuteronomy record God’s rescue of Israel from Egypt, the giving of the Torah at Sinai, and the covenant instructions for a holy people. Historical Books (12 books): Joshua, Judges, Ruth, 1–2 Samuel, 1–2 Kings, 1–2 Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, Esther. They trace Israel’s life in the Promised Land, their cycles of obedience and rebellion, the rise and fall of the monarchy, exile in Babylon, and return. They demonstrate that human kings fail, but God remains faithful to His promises. Wisdom and Poetry (5 books): Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Song of Solomon. These teach how to live wisely under God’s rule. They explore suffering, worship, daily righteousness, the emptiness of life without God, and the beauty of covenant love. Prophets (17 books): Major Prophets (5): Isaiah, Jeremiah, Lamentations, Ezekiel, Daniel. Minor Prophets (12): Hosea, Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah, Malachi. The prophets confront idolatry, call for repentance, warn of judgment, and repeatedly promise a coming Deliverer, a new covenant, and a kingdom that will never end. The entire Old Testament builds expectation: a seed of the woman, a descendant of Abraham, a prophet like Moses, a son of David, a suffering servant, and a King who will reign forever. The New Testament (27 Books): Christ’s Arrival and the New Creation The New Testament announces that Jesus is the promised King. He is the preeminent One in whom all God’s promises find their “Yes” (2 Corinthians 1:20). It shows His life, death, resurrection, the birth of the church, and the final renewal of all things. Gospels (4 books): Matthew, Mark, Luke, John. These present Jesus from four angles: as King (Matthew), servant (Mark), perfect man (Luke), and eternal God (John). They record His teaching, miracles, crucifixion for sins, and resurrection. History (1 book): Acts. Luke’s second volume shows the Holy Spirit empowering the early church to take the gospel from Jerusalem to the ends of the earth. It records the rapid spread of the message that Jesus is Lord. Letters (21 books): Paul’s Letters (13): Romans, 1–2 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1–2 Thessalonians, 1–2 Timothy, Titus, Philemon. These explain the gospel, the meaning of Christ’s work, how the church should live, and how believers stand secure in Him. General Letters (8): Hebrews, James, 1–2 Peter, 1–3 John, Jude. These encourage perseverance, warn against false teaching, and call for holy living. Prophecy (1 book): Revelation. This apocalyptic letter reveals Christ as the victorious Lamb and coming King. It comforts suffering believers and shows the final defeat of evil and the making of a new heaven and new earth. How the Two Testaments Fit Together The Old Testament is not obsolete. Jesus said He came to fulfill it, not abolish it (Matthew 5:17). The New Testament constantly quotes and explains the Old, showing that Christ is the true temple, the better Moses, the perfect high priest, the faithful Israel, and the eternal King. Everything in the Bible centers on the supremacy and preeminence of Christ that we have been studying in Colossians 1. He is the goal of the Old Testament promises and the living reality of the New Testament gospel. The whole book calls you to trust Him, repent of sin, and live under His rule until He returns. 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.  In today’s verse there is no mention of repentance or repenting but the core message is based upon that action. If we are to confess our sins and be purified, we must first turn from the wrongful behavior and seek Him and His ways. Then we have the promise that He is just and will forgive us. The Apostle John wrote his letter to believers who were facing false teachers. These false teachers claimed they were sin free. But we know from Paul that no one is sin free for ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). We inherited our sinful nature from Adam and Eve and no matter how hard we try we will never be totally sin free.  Lucky for us, God loves us despite that. He provided a way to escape the punishment of sin and the consequences that our actions would result in. He gave His Son, perfect and blameless, the only one to ever be sin free, as a sacrifice for our sin. He died on the cross and was raised again to satisfy the requirement of the law for the remission of sin. And we are made righteous because of Him. This verse is not about salvation though. It is about restoring fellowship with God. If we claim we have fellowship with Him but are living a life of hidden sin or denying our sinful nature then that fellowship is disrupted. Instead, we are walking in darkness and lying against the truth (1 John 1:6; 1 John 1:8).  The only way for us to restore fellowship with Him is to repent and turn back to Him once more. We must confess our sins in order to be forgiven. The Greek word for confess is homologeo and literally means to say the same thing or to agree with God about our sin. We don’t make excuses or try to hide it, instead, seeking His ways and His will for our lives.  And when we repent and change our behavior, He forgives us. He gives us grace and mercy that we don’t deserve. The penalty for our sin is paid in full thanks to the death of Jesus on the cross. When we acknowledge our sin and ask for forgiveness, the barrier that prevented us from fellowship with Him is removed and we have our relationship restored.  Don’t let your sin come between you and God. Confess, repent, and seek Him once more. He is waiting and faithful, ready to embrace you just like the father of the prodigal son did. He will restore fellowship with you and you will be made righteous and holy. But it all begins with repentance. SERMON: GOD IS SPEAKING THROUGH HIS SON NOW IN THIS LAST AGE - TO ALL FLESH Text: Hebrews 1:1-2, Acts 2:17 Hebrews 1:1-2 — “Long ago God spoke by the prophets, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son.” Acts 2:17 — “In the last days... I will pour out my Spirit on ALL FLESH... your young men shall see visions.” Brothers and sisters, the last days began on Pentecost Day. Acts 2:1-4 Pentecost came 1-4 years BEFORE Paul's conversion. So Paul's vision in Acts 9 was already a last-days vision. That proves God still gives visions today. We are now in that same last age, and God is still speaking through His Son in two ways: 1. Through Visions - Red 7, Green 7, Skeleton God showed His servant Kasule Reagan visions - Red 7 in the sky, Green 7 on the wall, Skeleton visions that vanished. The message: Time is complete, choose Life or Death. Matt 25:46 2. Through Personal Appearance of the Son - Sheikh Uthman Wambuzi THE PROOF TO UNBELIEVERS: This is a true story from our own nation, Uganda. Sheikh Wambuzi Maka Uthman, 39 years, a former Islamic teacher from Mayuge District, Eastern Uganda. Date: August 1, 2025, after Friday prayers. He stayed to rest in a corner of the mosque and fell asleep. He saw a figure dressed in white, long clothing, surrounded by four angels. The figure called his name three times: “Uthman, Uthman, Uthman.” Overwhelmed with fear, Uthman knelt down and worshipped Him. The figure instructed him: “Go to your people and tell them to repent and turn to the living God.” Leaving the mosque around 5 p.m., he met a church pastor and shared the message of repentance. Through the pastor's guidance, Uthman understood the figure was Jesus (Isa) calling him and others to faith. When he obeyed, from August 4, 2025, persecution came. His relatives viewed it as betrayal. They beat him severely, demolished his home, and took his wife and six children. He narrowly escaped through a thick bush to a Christian neighbor, who rushed him to a hospital in Mayuge town. [Source: christiandaily.com] Why would a respected Sheikh lose everything for a lie? He saw the son. Mark 9:3, Luke 9:29, matt28:3 This is Acts 26:16-18 happening again: “I have appeared to you to appoint you as servant and witness... to open their eyes, so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God.” 3. TO ALL FLESH - REGARDLESS OF TRIBE, NATION, LANGUAGE, CULTURE, RELIGION This is the key. Acts 2:17 says ALL FLESH. Acts 10:34-35 — God shows no partiality, in every nation. Revelation 5:9 — Jesus ransomed people from every tribe, language, people, and nation. Revelation 7:9 — A multitude no one can number, from all nations. God poured His Spirit on a Christian youth in Kampala with visions, and on a Muslim Sheikh in a mosque in Mayuge with a personal appearance. Same Spirit. Same Jesus. Same message. THE MESSAGE FOR THIS LAST AGE: God is alarming us: Spiritual awakening, renewal, revival, repentance, and obedience. John 8:12 — Jesus says “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 3:16 — Whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. Matt 25:46 — The choice is eternal life or eternal punishment. Proverbs 29:18 — “Where there is no vision, the people perish.” Without hearing what God is showing now, people will perish in sin/darkness. 2 Peter 3:9 — “The Lord is not slow... but is patient, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.” FINAL CALL: BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE Hebrews 3:15 — “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts.” Habakkuk 2:3 — The vision awaits its appointed time, it will surely come. Sheikh Uthman heard his name called. You are hearing your name called today. God is speaking through His Son NOW to all nations. Will you embrace His will through faith in Christ and be saved? If you refuse, you will perish in sin. Prayer: Lord Jesus, Son of God who came to destroy the works of the devil 1 John 3:8, open our eyes. We repent.

📘 Daily Devotion — August 20 | Acts 19:26 (NKJV) 💯 Worship the One True God Acts 19 records the growing impact of the gospel in Ephesus. As many people believed in Jesus Christ, they turned away from idol worship. This change threatened those whose livelihood depended on making idols, leading to strong opposition against Paul and the message he preached. Paul faithfully declared that man-made idols could never replace the living God. His message called people to abandon false objects of worship and place their faith in the Creator rather than created things. The gospel challenged not only beliefs but also the priorities and lifestyles of those who heard it. For believers today, idols may not always be carved images, but anything that takes God's rightful place in our hearts can become an idol. Success, possessions, relationships, or personal ambitions can easily compete for our devotion. God alone deserves our highest worship, trust, and obedience. Reflection Questions 1. Is there anything competing with God for first place in my heart? 2. What changes is God calling me to make in my worship and priorities? 3. DAILY BREAD FELLOWSHIP DBF-001-027 Today’s Scripture John 2:6 (ESV) “Now there were six stone water jars there for the Jewish rites of purification, each holding twenty or thirty gallons.” Opening the Scriptures John now draws our attention to something standing nearby at the wedding: six large stone water jars. These were not ordinary drinking containers. John specifically tells us that they were connected with Jewish purification practices. The jars were large. Together they could hold well over one hundred gallons of water. At this point, however, they were simply standing there. The servants did not yet know why Jesus would soon direct their attention toward them. This detail reminds us of something important when reading Scripture. God often accomplishes His purposes through things that appear completely ordinary. The servants saw water jars. Jesus knew what He was about to do. Living God’s Word Today We often think God can use us only when we possess something impressive. We may believe we need greater ability, more education, more money, greater influence, or better circumstances before we can serve Him effectively. But Scripture repeatedly challenges that thinking. God is not limited by what appears small or ordinary to us. The question is not whether what we possess seems impressive. The question is whether it is available for His purposes. Those stone jars could not perform a miracle. Neither could the servants. The power belonged entirely to Christ. That distinction is essential in Christian service. Whenever God accomplishes something through our lives, ministries, churches, abilities, or resources, we must never confuse the instrument with the One who supplies the power. Christ receives the glory. Perhaps you sometimes feel that what you have to offer God is insignificant. Do not measure usefulness according to human standards. Bring what you have under the authority of Christ. Your time can be used by Him. Your home can be used by Him. Your abilities can be used by Him. Your resources can be used by Him. Your ordinary conversations can become opportunities to speak truth and demonstrate the love of Christ. But never forget: the power is not in us. We are servants. Christ is Lord. The six stone jars were standing at Cana, ready to be used according to His command. The servants would soon discover that ordinary obedience placed them in the service of an extraordinary Savior. Our responsibility today remains the same. Be available. Listen to His Word. Obey what He commands. And give Christ all the glory for whatever He accomplishes. Question for Today: Are you willing to place what you have at Christ’s disposal for His purposes? Respond: “Lord, use what You have given me for Your glory.”
