How to Persevere in Prayer How do you persevere in prayer? You have to make an effort, because it is not easy. It is easy to start; the difficult part is finishing, because of the opposition that arises along the way. The enemy will always oppose men and women of prayer. This opposition can happen in many ways: through pain in the body, through situations around us, and even through people close to us. People will be attacked, you will be saddened, troubled, distressed, humiliated, and persecuted. So, do not forget: many of these struggles are part of the journey of a life of prayer. And this should serve as encouragement to warriors. You must keep going! But how do you persevere? Do what Paul taught: “Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training.” Many people want to pray while living according to the flesh, and because of this, the journey seems impossible. But when we are in the Spirit, when we walk and live in the Spirit, we receive life and have life to give. We must make an effort and not be ignorant of Satan’s schemes. Yet, hallelujah, we must remain patient in tribulations. This is how we will continue. If you do not renounce your own life and your own will, and if you do not enter this war determined to fight the good fight, you will give up. The burden will become too great, because sin brings bondage and weakness. Therefore, it is necessary to renounce sin. The Word says: “Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training.” And so you will continue fighting, abstaining from everything that weakens your walk and making every effort to remain steadfast. Understand this: the struggles, adversities, and opposition you encounter are part of the journey of those who are true warriors. But you have the armor of God in your hands! So I challenge you: move forward against them! Glory to God! Go into battle as David went against Goliath. Do not allow yourself to be intimidated by the Goliaths of life, nor by the Sauls who may cross your path. You need to have the same attitude as Caleb when he returned from spying out the land together with Joshua and the other men. Caleb said, in other words: “They will be our bread. Let us only be strong, and the Lord will deliver them into our hands.” Hallelujah! This is the secret to perseverance. If I do not tell you the truth, you may become frustrated. The battles will come because of your prayer life. The counterattacks will come, and they may be very intense, because the devil does not want anyone to persevere in prayer. That is why you find many people who started but did not finish. Jesus taught that when someone goes into battle, they must first count the cost, to determine whether they have what it takes to see it through to the end. In the same way, when someone is going to build a house, they must calculate the cost to determine whether they will be able to finish it. Otherwise, they will begin building and will not be able to finish. And everyone who passes by will begin to mock them, saying: “This man began to build, but he was not able to finish.” The world is full of people who began building their houses but did not finish. Many ended up becoming a source of shame and disgrace. No! You must be a courageous man! You must be a giant in faith, able to face the giants of this world and overcome the Sauls who arise along the way. Do not be afraid. Do not give up. Do not abandon prayer. Keep fighting. Keep praying. Keep persevering. Because the one who perseveres to the end will see the hand of God.

This means we must not allow any thought that contradicts God's word to go unchecked. The moment you recognise a harmful or untrue thought creeping in, stand firm in your identity in Christ. Reject it, confront it, and replace it with the truth of the Scripture. The more you study scriptures, the easier it will be for you to recognise lies and false teachings. ED.ii. SHAMGAR'S CATTLE STICK "After Ehud came Shamgar son of Anath, who struck down six hundred Philistines with an ox goad. He too saved Israel." - Judges 3:31 Shamgar was a farmer and one day while he was plowing the enemy, the Philistines, came. They were out to rob, kill and destroy Israel. Shamgar had no sword, spear or shield like the Philistines who were well-armed and trained men. In 1 Samuel 13:19 it says: 'The Philistines wouldn't allow them for fear they would make swords and spears for the Hebrews.' The hero Shamgar The only thing Shamgar had was a cattle stick - a stick of about three meters long and four to five centimeters thick. On this cattle stick, there was a small point sticking out which is used to spur the oxen. On the other side of the stick, there was a chisel to scrape the plowshares. There was an army of 600 armed men and there was Shamgar with his cattle stick. Many of us would choose the easiest way out and leave. But Shamgar approached them with his cane and struck them down one after the other. Can you imagine this: 600 men beaten by one man with a stick? Shamgar became a hero on that day and was appointed to judge in Israel. Today we also have enemies, from whom the evil one is the worst. The Bible says he came to steal, kill, and destroy. And he comes with many demons. Use what you have Shamgar did not wait like so many people do but he used what he had. Let us also confront the enemy with what we have. When Earthly Differences End Bible Text: Ecclesiastes 9:2 “All things come alike to all: there is one event to the righteous, and to the wicked.” When you refuse to be equal with your fellow man, brethren, friends, colleagues, or relations in status, wealth, achievements, position, and accomplishments, remember this: you will certainly be equal with them in the grave. The grave does not recognize wealth or poverty, status or obscurity, position or power, achievement or failure. In death, every earthly distinction is stripped away. The rich and the poor, the influential and the insignificant, the celebrated and the unknown all pass through the same doorway of death. There, we are reminded that everything we possessed, attained, and accomplished on earth was temporary. The body returns to the dust, and the soul stands before its Creator. The grave may make us equal, but eternity reveals where our true destiny lies—before God, either in eternal separation from Him or in His eternal presence. Therefore, while we live, let us not allow pride, competition, wealth, status, or earthly accomplishments to make us despise or consider ourselves superior to others. For one day, the same grave awaits us all. “For dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.” — Genesis 3:19 What matters most is not how highly we are regarded among men, but how we stand before God when this earthly journey ends. Gods Creation, 100 / evolution, 0 GOD HANGS THE EARTH ON NOTHING Long before telescopes, satellites, or space travel, a statement was written that still stands untouched by time. In Book of Job 26:7, we read that God “hangs the earth on nothing.” No pillars. No animals. No mythological supports. Suspended. Exactly as it truly is. At the same time, cultures around the world were offering very different explanations. Hindu traditions spoke of the earth resting on elephants standing on a giant turtle. Greek mythology described Atlas carrying the world on his shoulders. These weren’t just stories. They were the best attempts of human reasoning trying to explain the unknown. And they were wrong. But the Bible was not. Job didn’t have a telescope. He didn’t have modern science. Yet he recorded a truth that aligns with what we now observe in space. The earth is not sitting on anything. It is held in place by forces God established, exactly as Scripture declared thousands of years ago. This wasn’t a lucky guess. This wasn’t poetic accident. This was revelation. As Second Epistle of Peter 1:21 explains, men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. That is why the Bible stands apart. It doesn’t echo the errors of man. It speaks with authority because its source is not human imagination. The earth hangs on nothing because the One who created it holds it exactly where it belongs.

Did you know? Praying to the dead is not a harmless tradition. It is communication with the dead — and God plainly forbids it. The Bible does not say, “Seek the saints.” It says, “Should not a people seek their God? Should they seek the dead on behalf of the living?” (Isaiah 8:19). That is the issue. You can call it veneration, intercession, or honour — but if a living person is directing requests to the dead, it is still seeking the dead on behalf of the living. God explicitly condemned this practice: “There shall not be found among you anyone… who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead.” (Deuteronomy 18:10–12) And Scripture gives us no reason to pray to the dead in the first place: The dead do not know anything (Ecclesiastes 9:5) Their thoughts perish (Psalm 146:4) There is one Mediator between God and men — Jesus Christ (1 Timothy 2:5) So the biblical pattern is simple: Seek God, not the dead. Pray to the Father, through Jesus Christ. If the dead cannot hear you, your prayers are wasted. And if something does answer, it is not holy.

Let's talk about it. WHAT GRACE IS LIKE Imagine a government makes a law saying, “If you drive above 120 km/h, you will go to prison.” You break the law, you are caught, and you are taken to court. When the judge asks you to plead, you will not plead for justice—you will plead for mercy. Why? Because you know you have broken the law. This helps us understand Grace. Imagine a father establishes rules in his home and makes clear the consequences of disobedience. His children disobey. The mother knows what they deserve, so she pleads with the father to forgive them. The father chooses to forgive them. Then the mother tells the children, “You have been forgiven. Now stop disobeying your father.” That is a picture of grace. Grace does not cancel the law. Grace gives the guilty person mercy and an opportunity to change. The Bible says, “Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.” — Ecclesiastes 8:11. God's patience should never be mistaken for God's approval. When Jesus healed the man at the pool of Bethesda, He did not tell him, “You are under grace, so continue living however you want.” Jesus said: “Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.” — John 5:14. Grace gave that man another opportunity—not an opportunity to continue in sin, but an opportunity to live differently. My friends, do not reject God's commandments simply because you are uncomfortable with the Sabbath commandment. And do not teach people that God's commandments are no longer binding simply because you want to defend a tradition. The Pharisees had a similar problem. They knew the evidence concerning John the Baptist, but they were more concerned about protecting their position than accepting the truth. They reasoned among themselves and finally said, “We cannot tell.” Don't be like them. Don't be like the people before the Flood who mocked Noah's warning while the ark was being prepared. Don't be like the scoffers Peter warned about, saying, “Where is the promise of his coming?” — 2 Peter 3:4. God's delay is not God's denial. Grace is God's mercy giving you time to repent. But that time will not last forever. Ecclesiastes gives us the final warning: “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment.” — Ecclesiastes 12:13–14. So don't abuse grace. Grace forgives the sinner, but grace never gives us permission to love sin. Grace does not destroy God's law; grace leads us back to obedience. Today, while mercy is still being offered, choose repentance. Choose truth. Choose obedience.
