IF YOU HAVE JESUS, YOU HAVE LIFE ”And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son (1 John 5:11).” Christianity is the unveiling of a present reality: Christ in you; His life, glory, righteousness, wisdom, dominion and grace unveiled and revealed in and through you. This is real. Christianity isn’t a religion. It’s the very life and nature of God imparted to you in Christ and lived through the power of the Holy Spirit. This life isn’t something you’re going to get when you get to heaven. The Apostle John states it as a present truth in our opening scripture: “...God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.” Then he continues in the 12th verse, “He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.” This is absolute. You can’t have eternal life any other way. If you have Jesus, you have it. Read His words in John 17:3 “And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.” He had said earlier in John 5:24, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.” Then He made a most profound declaration in the 26th verse, “For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself.” This helps to understand why Jesus is, Himself, eternal life and the only One who can give it: _*“…we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life” (1 John 5:20). Remember His words in John 14:6, _*“…I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” Being born again, you’ve come to the Father through Jesus Christ and have received His life. Therefore, be ever conscious of His divine life in you (1 John 5:13). Let it go beyond doctrine to consciousness and experience. Eternal life is what makes you superior to Satan and the limitations of this world. It’s why you have the capacity to live above sin, sickness and death, and live from God instead of trying to reach Him. FURTHER STUDY: 1 John 5:11-13 (KJV) ”And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. 13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.” Colossians 1:26-27 (NIV) ”the mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now disclosed to the Lord’s people. 27 To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” 1 John 5:20 (NIV) ”We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true by being in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.”

IS FORNICATION A SIN? Fornication isn't designed to destroy people. The desire for sexual intimacy is a real part of human nature, created by God and designed for a purpose. ❤️ Sexual attraction is natural. 💕 Sexual desire is natural. 🔥 The longing to be loved, wanted, touched, and intimately connected with another person is not, by itself, a strange or evil thing. 🫂❤️ When a young man and a young woman fall in love, their attraction toward each other can feel powerful. ❤️‍🔥 They may genuinely care about each other. 💕 They may intend to marry someday. 💍 They may tell themselves that because they love each other, sleeping together is simply an expression of that love. ❤️🛏️ Sometimes they may even convince themselves that nothing is wrong because they are not hurting anyone, they are faithful to each other, and they have already promised themselves that they belong together. 🤝❤️💭 👀 You see how you now feel sympathy, understanding, and even justification for the two lovers? 😮 You see how fornication now begins to look less like sin and more like love? 💔➡️❤️ And the interesting thing is that many of the reasons people give are not completely false. 🤔 The attraction is real. ❤️ The feelings are real. 💕 The love may even be real. ❤️ But something can feel real and still be outside the will of God. ⚠️🙏 🚨 This is where deception becomes dangerous. One of the easiest ways to make sin acceptable is not to deny what God said, but to reframe the situation until disobedience begins to look reasonable. 🎭🧠 🔴 Fornication can be presented as love. ❤️ 🟠 Compromise can be presented as maturity. 🧠 🟡 Lust can be presented as affection. 💋 🟢 Disobedience can be presented as personal freedom. 🕊️ 🔵 Temptation can be presented as something you deserve because you have been waiting for marriage for so long. ⏳ 😮‍💨 My God, reframing is such a powerful tool. It can make sin feel like wisdom. 🧠⚠️ ❓ But the question is not simply whether you love the person. ❤️ 🙏 The question is whether you are honouring God with that love. ❓ The question is not whether the desire is natural. 🛡️ The question is whether you are allowing that desire to rule you outside the boundaries God established for it. God did not create sexual intimacy because He wanted to deprive you of pleasure. ❤️ God created it with purpose, dignity, responsibility, and covenant. 💍🙏 The problem is not that sex exists. The problem is taking something God designed for marriage and using it outside the covenant for which He designed it. ⚠️💔 🧠 You must therefore be careful when your emotions begin to write your theology. ❤️ You can love someone and still need to say no. ✋ 🔥 You can be deeply attracted to someone and still walk away from the bed. 🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️ 💍 You can intend to marry someone and still refuse to sleep with them before marriage. 😔 You can be lonely without becoming sexually immoral. 🛡️ 🔥 You can be tempted without becoming a fornicator. 💪 You can have sexual desires without allowing those desires to become your master. 👑 ⚖️ The fact that you have a reason does not automatically make your decision right. Everyone has a story that explains why they did what they did. 📖 But as a Christian, your standard cannot be your feelings, your circumstances, your friends, your relationship, or the way society defines normal. 🌍❌ 📖🔥 Your standard is the Word of God. 🚫 Do not allow someone to manipulate you with the language of love when what they are asking you to do is disobedience. 🚫❤️ Do not let anyone tell you that if you truly love them, you must prove it sexually. ❤️ Real love does not demand that you sin to prove your commitment. ⏳❤️ Real love can wait. 🛡️❤️ Real love can respect boundaries. 🙏❤️ Real love can honour God. 💍🔥 Real love can say, We will not destroy our future because of what we feel today. 🛡️ Always be on your guard. 📌 Today's Readings are from the Book of 2 Kings 25 | Ephesians 2 📌 👇 Overviews Are Below (PLEASE READ YOUR BIBLE: Overviews Do Not Replace Daily Reading) 👇 2 Kings 25 The Fall of Jerusalem and the Hope That Remains 2 Kings 25 concludes the historical record of the books of Kings with the fall of Jerusalem and the Babylonian exile. It is a heartbreaking chapter, yet it is not merely the story of a nation's defeat. It is the fulfillment of God's long-declared warnings through generations of prophets. What God had patiently announced for centuries now comes to pass exactly as He said. The Babylonian army lays siege to Jerusalem until famine overwhelms the city. Eventually, the walls are breached, and King Zedekiah attempts to flee. He is captured, witnesses the destruction of his family, and is taken into exile. The collapse of Judah's final earthly kingdom illustrates the devastating consequences of persistent rebellion against the Lord. The Babylonians then destroy Jerusalem. The temple is burned, the city walls are torn down, and many of the people are carried away into captivity. The place where God's people had gathered for worship now lies in ruins. The visible symbols of Israel's strength, security, and identity are removed. Yet even as the temple falls, God's presence is not defeated. The Lord is never confined to buildings or earthly kingdoms. His covenant purposes continue beyond what human eyes can see. A small remnant remains in the land under the leadership of Gedaliah, offering a brief opportunity for stability. Yet even this hope is disrupted through violence and fear, causing many to flee to Egypt despite God's repeated warnings. The chapter demonstrates that human hearts remain prone to trust their own plans rather than God's direction. The book closes with an unexpected note of hope. Years after the exile begins, Jehoiachin, a descendant of David, is released from prison and shown kindness by the king of Babylon. Though seemingly small, this closing scene carries profound theological significance. The royal line of David has not been extinguished. God's covenant promise remains alive. The story is not over. This quiet ending points beyond exile to restoration. Though the kingdom has fallen, God's redemptive plan continues moving toward the coming of the Messiah. The final chapter of Kings leaves readers looking forward to the greater King whom God has promised. Theologically, 2 Kings 25 reveals both God's perfect justice and His unwavering faithfulness. His judgment against sin is certain, yet His covenant promises remain secure. Even in exile, God preserves hope because His purposes cannot fail. This chapter points directly to Jesus Christ. The preserved line of David ultimately leads to the birth of the Messiah, the eternal King whose kingdom will never be destroyed. Earthly Jerusalem fell because of sin, but Christ establishes a kingdom that cannot be shaken. Through His death and resurrection, He restores what humanity's rebellion had broken and opens the way for all who trust Him to become citizens of His everlasting kingdom. For believers today, 2 Kings 25 reminds us that even the darkest moments of history cannot cancel God's promises. Loss, discipline, and hardship are never the end of God's story. In Christ, hope remains because our King reigns forever. We may experience seasons that feel like exile, but God's faithfulness never changes. His redemptive plan continues, His promises stand secure, and His kingdom will one day be fully established in perfect righteousness and everlasting peace. Ephesians 2 — Saved by Grace and United in the Christ Ephesians chapter 2 reveals the heart of God's redemptive plan by showing how the Christ, the Son of God, rescues sinners, gives them new life, and unites them into one family. After celebrating the spiritual blessings found in the Christ in chapter 1, Paul now explains how those blessings became ours. This chapter moves from humanity's desperate condition apart from God to the glorious transformation accomplished entirely through His grace. Christian living begins by understanding that salvation is God's work from beginning to end. The chapter opens by describing humanity's condition apart from the Christ. Spiritually separated from God and unable to rescue themselves, people naturally follow the patterns of a fallen world and the desires of their sinful nature. This description reminds believers that salvation is never earned because humanity has no ability to bring itself back to God. The redemptive plan begins with God's mercy toward those who were completely unable to save themselves. The turning point of the chapter comes with the overwhelming declaration of God's mercy and love. Because of His great love, God acted through the Christ to give life to those who were spiritually dead. The Son of God accomplished what humanity never could. Christian living is rooted in this reality: believers stand before God because of His grace, not because of their goodness. Every aspect of salvation points back to His mercy. Paul repeatedly emphasizes that salvation is a gift of grace received through faith. It is not the result of human achievement or religious performance. This truth protects the believer from pride and continually directs all glory to the Christ. The redemptive plan leaves no room for boasting because everything necessary for salvation has already been accomplished through the Son of God. The chapter then explains that believers are God's workmanship, created anew in the Christ for lives of faithful service. Good works do not produce salvation, but they naturally flow from it. Christian living is the result of a transformed heart. The Son of God saves His people not only from sin but also for a life that reflects His character and fulfills His purposes. Paul next addresses the separation that once existed between different groups of people. Through the Christ, barriers of hostility have been removed, and those who were once divided have been brought together into one new people. The redemptive plan creates unity where there was once division. The Son of God is the source of true peace because He reconciles people to God and to one another. This reconciliation extends beyond human relationships to the believer's relationship with God Himself. Those who were once far away have been brought near through the sacrifice of the Christ. Access to the Father is now available because of His finished work. Christian living is lived in the confidence of this restored relationship, knowing that believers are welcomed into God's presence through the Son of God. The chapter continues by describing the Church as God's household and His holy temple. Believers are no longer strangers or outsiders but members of God's family. Together they are being built into a dwelling place where God lives by His Spirit. The redemptive plan is not only individual but also corporate. The Christ is building a people who reflect His glory together as one body. The foundation of this spiritual house is firmly established upon the truth of God's Word, with the Christ Himself as the cornerstone. Everything in the believer's life and in the Church must remain aligned with Him. Christian living remains stable only when it is centered on the Son of God. Throughout Ephesians chapter 2, the Christ is revealed as the giver of life, the source of grace, the bringer of peace, and the cornerstone of God's eternal kingdom. Every aspect of the believer's salvation, identity, and purpose is found in Him. The redemptive plan transforms those who were spiritually dead into living members of God's family and joins them together for His glory. For believers today, this chapter reminds us that our salvation is entirely the work of God's grace through the Christ. Christian living is not an attempt to earn God's acceptance but a joyful response to His mercy. We are called to live as God's workmanship, pursuing the good works He has prepared for us while walking in unity with fellow believers. Because God made us, we didn’t make Him. A god you can make is a god you can control and make do whatever you wish. The ancient Greeks had a host of gods, all created by men. Some demanded human sacrifice; others permitted prostitution and even promoted it in their temples. When we reverse the order and start to create God in our own image (according to our own imagination) we get the following things: 1) A god who’s liberal or conservative, a hawk or a dove; a god politicians conveniently pull out of a box at election time to gain votes even though they don’t truly serve him. 2) A flexible god who permits you to do whatever you want, and you can then say, ‘I just felt led to do it.’ 3) A god who promises to bless his children but never discipline them. 4) A god you can ‘keep in his place’ until you need him. 5) A god who is not supreme but happy to be one of many deities offering many ways to heaven. Not so! God says, ‘I, even I, am the Lord, and besides Me there is no saviour.’ Jesus said, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me’ (John 14:6 NKJV). [25/08, 9:09 pm] Pastor Attah: *MEDITATIONS ON DAILY ⓂANNA* WEDNESDAY, 26TH AUGUST, 2026. *COURAGE TO RISE AND MOVE ON AFTER A SERIOUS SETBACK* *TEXT:* JOSHUA 1:11-18. 11 Pass through the host, and command the people, saying, Prepare you victuals; for within three days ye shall pass over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land, which the LORD your God giveth you to possess it. 12 And to the Reubenites, and to the Gadites, and to half the tribe of Manasseh, spake Joshua, saying, 13 Remember the word which Moses the servant of the LORD commanded you, saying, The LORD your God hath given you rest, and hath given you this land. 14 Your wives, your little ones, and your cattle, shall remain in the land which Moses gave you on this side Jordan; but ye shall pass before your brethren armed, all the mighty men of valour, and help them; 15 Until the LORD have given your brethren rest, as he hath given you, and they also have possessed the land which the Lyord  your God giveth them: then ye shall return unto the land of your possession, and enjoy it, which Moses the LORD's servant gave you on this side Jordan toward the sunrising. 16 And they answered Joshua, saying, All that thou commandest us we will do, and whithersoever thou sendest us, we will go. 17 According as we hearkened unto Moses in all things, so will we hearken unto thee: only the LORD thy God be with thee, as he was with Moses. 18 Whosoever he be that doth rebel against thy commandment, and will not hearken unto thy words in all that thou commandest him, he shall be put to death: only be strong and of a good courage *Timeless Truth:*_"Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul"_ (Hebrews 10:38,39). *INTRODUCTION* 40 years have passed now when they left Egypt with great joy and hope coupled with triumph over the oppressive and terrorizing Egyptians. Little did they know the challenges that will greet them on the way. A few days journey from Kadesh to Jordan turned to 40 years. All the adults, except Caleb and Joshua, who left Egypt died without reaching the promised Canaan. Unfortunately, Moses, their faithful leader, including their high priest Aaron, and Miriam the Women Leader were painfully casualties. They just finished mourning Moses for 30 days. That was not their plan and expectations when they left Egypt. However, they must move on and enter the land of promise after all those setbacks. This takes courage and faith in God. The Christian life is similar especially, when the heart is not sanctified. Starting with the indescribable Joy of Salvation, the journey to heaven began. But unexpectedly, along the way, there are battles to fight, divine disciplines to endure and challenges meant to perfect that will be experienced. Those experiences and setbacks should not becloud our forward march to heaven; we must keep moving on until we enter the promised heaven. The Apostles were said to be *"Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom"* (Acts 14:22). *1. The Command to be Observed with Unwavering Faith* a. Joshua commanded the captains to *"Pass through the host, and command the people, saying, Prepare you victuals"*. Some people who willingly obey the commandments in their work places, public transports, whether land, air or sea, deride commandments when it comes from God through church leaders or shepherds. Some refused or stopped going to church because of their hate for commandments. They often talk of human rights, human free will etc when commandments are given by God through His ministers. The truth is that no man, no matter how wise or intelligent, can live happily or successfully in the world without learning to listen to instructions or commandments and follow them in every sphere of life. The Word of God is filled with instructions and commandment because none can claim to know the correct and fulfilling routes in life when he has never passed through it. Human security, safety, fulfillment and joy are tied to the ability to hear, listen and obey godly instructions and commandments. The 'dos' and 'don'ts' of the Word of God, which carnal minds reject, are actually, the path way to a happy and fulfilling life. b. Moses, their Prophet par excellence who used to see and hear from God directly was gone. Yet they did not idolize Moses that since Moses was gone all hope was lost. Their confidence was in God without any cult personality. True believers should not see any of their leaders as a cult personality to idolize. Cult personality in the household of faith is carnality and idol worship in action. Any God-given leader at any time should be obeyed and followed because it is the commandment of God and His Word that matters most and not the human vessel. Israel lost nothing as a result of the death of Moses. The same God who moved mightily in Moses also moved greatly in Joshua that Israel never regretted the death of Moses. The Command of Joshua was military in nature, but obeying it will require courage and faith. *"Within three days ye shall pass over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land, which the LORD your God giveth you to possess it"*. Looking back, many souls have died without receiving the promise. Looking forward to Jordan that it would take a great miracle like it happened in the Red Sea before they could pass. However, Joshua gave the commandment as if the Jordan challenge was not there. Israel also did not raise alarm about the humanly impassable Jordan. They all jointly and unitedly believed God that crossing was a done deal since it was God who commanded and God had done it before. We must move on by faith to the hope set before us with courage. Since God has promised to take us to heaven, no need to fear the assault of persistent temptations, the murmurs of persecutions and afflictions, the threat of marital and career setbacks and the cruel dread of principalities and power. Just move on in obedience and faith according to His Word and be sure you will land on the other side of the river. *Question* Have you decided to continue the journey to the end no matter the challenges on the way? *2.Care to be Offered to the Unsettled Families* a. The Reubenites, and to the Gadites, and to half the tribe of Manasseh were given their land and possession before they crossed the Jordan River. Now that the soldiers of those tribes were settled, it was tempting for them to quit the journey and go to their rest. Moses settled that need for genuine brotherly love before he died. Joshua recalled that because he knew that the commandment of God does not die with the vessel that God used to declare it. He said, *"Remember the word which Moses the servant of the LORD commanded you, saying, The LORD your God hath given you rest, and hath given you this land"*. The vulnerable were to stay behind in the promised land while their soldiers joined the remaining Israelites to fight the Canaanites. There was no rest for them until their brethren had rest. Obeying that would require faith and a golden caring heart. First, who would protect those vulnerable two and half tribes when all their soldiers leave them behind? David did that for his wives and vulnerable followers in Ziklag and the Amalekites overran the wives and carried away everything belonging to them. Was that commandment of Moses reasonable? It was reasonable since it was given by God. It was reasonable because faith in God would not be disappointed. It was reasonable because the law of love is stronger than the law of self protection. This is the lesson for us as to how God works. b. *"Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfill ye the law of Christ"* (Galatians 6:2). Any law, policy or principle that does not visibly reflect the care and love for one another in the family, church and among neighbours is not of God no matter how the world exalts it. Practical and sacrificial care for one another is the hall mark of Christianity. When that is missing, the Christian faith is not different from other religions. Believers should lighten burdens of others, wiping off bitter tears, relieving the oppressed, putting the balm of Gilead in the troubled souls in addition to assisting and supporting others through prayer. Selfishness, self interest, self protection, self respect, etc.are being imported into the church as wisdom, but they are not Christlike. *"Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others"* (Philippians 2:4). This is a commandment. *Question* Are you practically bearing others burdens or are you hypocritically selfish? *3. Consecration to Obedience and Unity by the Faithful* a. Christian consecration is the solemn act of setting apart a person, place or thing from ordinary, secular use and dedicating it entirely to God and holy purposes. This includes consecration to do and obey the Word of God. It is difficult in these last days of superficial christianity and devotion to deliberately, doggedly and determinedly stick to the Word of God without definite consecrations. When it comes to unity among brethren, many things often threaten unity and it takes consecration with godly unity in order to ensure the unity of the saints. This is needful because the victory, the blessings and divine visitations on a people are tightly connected to unity. Unity must be encouraged and enforced in order to enjoy God's bests. *"Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the body of peace"*. We must preach it, pray for it, practice it and pass it on to the future generations. Would the Holy Spirit have descended on the Early Church if they were not united in the Upper Room? If the Trinity is not united, what would the world look like? *"And they answered Joshua, saying, All that thou commandest us we will do, and whithersoever thou sendest us, we will go"*. It takes deliberate consecration to God to obey all the commandments of God without complaining. It takes consecration to follow a man of like passion wholeheartedly. Consecrations are milestones to spiritual maturity and profitability in the hands of God. Spiritual growth into higher ground is all about making higher consecrations and working it out through the grace of God. *Question* What are the irreversible consecrations you have made to God so far? *Prayer Points* 1.Father, give me power and faith, with courage, to keep moving on until I land in the heavenly Canaan land and let me not fall by the way side 🙏. 2.Make me an agent of unity and let the Spirit of unity and obedience reign in the midst of Your children. 3.Give me more love to bear one another's burdens and cleanse my heart from all forms of selfishness 🙏. 4.Help all Your children to be given to deeper consecrations🙏. *HYMN:* Arise O youth of God *BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:* HABAKKUK 1-3. Reuben Anderson, an American, told a story of an engineer who was confined to bed because his lower limbs were paralysed from a serious accident. Because of his reputation for great skill, he was asked to design and prepare the blueprints for a great suspension bridge. After many months, his plans were completed and placed in the hands of those who were to be in charge of the bridge's construction. After a considerable period, the construction was completed. The engineer was brought on his bed to the scene of the beautiful bridge spanning the wide river. As he watched for the first time as cars sped over the bridge, and as he looked at the blueprints which he held in his hands, tears began to fill his eyes, and he cried out, "It's just like the plan; it's just like the plan." Undoubtedly, the sense of accomplishment brought tears of joy to the eyes of the intelligent and fulfilled engineer. His good works serve humanity! What a lesson! We must live to add value to others.* *Today's passage centres on the preparation of Israel to go in and possess the Promised Land under the able leadership of Joshua, the son of Nun, the commander of the army of Israel after the death of Moses. This time, they were on the verge of entering Canaan. Strategically, he told the army to prepare, and he reminded the three tribes: Reuben, Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh of their promise to Moses that they would cross the River Jordan and fight alongside the nine and the half tribes until they possessed their inheritance before returning to settle on the east side of Jordan. The tribal leaders affirmed their commitment and promised to follow Joshua as they followed Moses, irrespective of the challenges ahead.* *The salient lesson here include the unity among the tribes, cooperation with the leader, and Joshua's uncompromising, indefatigable leadership style that gave Israel the edge. As a result, the nation won battles, conquered adversaries, and possessed the Promised Land.* *Families, churches, societies and nations that desire victory in life's battles and challenges must follow the same pattern. Beyond earthly victories and possessions, there is an enduring possession in heaven for the saints of God. Matthew 22:11-14 NIV “But when the king came in to see the guests, he noticed a man there who was not wearing wedding clothes. He asked, ‘How did you get in here without wedding clothes, friend?’ The man was speechless. “Then the king told the attendants, ‘Tie him hand and foot, and throw him outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’ “For many are invited, but few are chosen.” God morning and praise God. I hope you are blessed and having a great morning. Long ago in the East, a host of a banquet would provide special garments to his invited guests. These were to his own honor and pride. He would therefore expect all his invited guests to be in that specific attire. Do you think he would allow them who refused to be in his probably expensive, clean and beautiful attire to remain in the banquet? Won't that be a great dishonor to him having spent alot only for someone to participate wearing his or her own garment of choice? Jesus Christ uses this to illustrate how it will be for those who accepted Him but wants to do it under their own terms. Those who want to remain in sin but also in Christ. Those who accepted the Gospel but have willingly refused to be transformed by it. They want to be luke warm, not cold not hot. They want to love Jesus by their own lips whilst their actions shows otherwise. Those who have refused to bear fruit of Spirit but instead are bearing fruits of flesh. In another place the Bible describes them this way Romans 1:21 NIV "For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. " Gospel is tranformartive but to those who genuinely accept it and from henceforth take-up their cross and follow Jesus. You cannot tell us you belong to Jesus but also to your old sinful nature. You cannot belong to light and darkness at the same time. Gospel is nothing about mingling with crowd but rather a deep personal relationship with God. It is about true repentance, faith and submission to the ways of God. It is nothing about following your church traditions and what not but rather a deep relationship of submission and obedience to God. The end of those that are lukewarm is clear. They will be cast out of God's presence at the judgement day. Matthew 7:23 NIV Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’ Brethren, be among the chosen not just those who accepted invitation. It'll be very painful if you wasted all your time lying on salvation. Matthew 7:21 — Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father. 1 John 2:17 — The world is passing away... but whoever does the will of God abides forever. In this last age, many are hearing, few are doing. God is not looking for listeners. He is looking for doers who will be sealed. Here is His will. --- 1. KNOW WHO YOU ARE — BELIEVERS IN CHRIST NOT PRACTISING SIN YOU ARE TRUE ISRAEL, YOU MUST STOP LIVING LIKE A GENTILE You must know your identity or you will miss your sealing. Romans 9:6-8 — It is not the children of the flesh who are children of God, but children of promise. Galatians 3:29 — If you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's offspring, heir according to promise. Ephesians 2:19 — You are no longer strangers... but fellow citizens with saints. 1 Peter 2:9 — You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation. GOD'S WILL: Holiness is not sinless perfection by flesh. It is a new nature that refuses to practice sin as lifestyle. Titus 2:11-12 — Grace trains us to renounce ungodliness. HOW TO OBEY TODAY: 1 Corinthians 6:18 — Flee sexual immorality. No negotiation. Ephesians 4:29 — Let no corrupting talk come from your mouth. Revelation 14:5 — In their mouth no lie was found. 1 John 2:15-16 — Do not love the world. James 4:4 — Friendship with world is enmity with God. Galatians 5:19-21 — Those who do such things will not inherit kingdom. Stop them. If sin is still your practice, you are not sealed. Repent now. Acts 17:30 3. KNOW HOW YOU ARE MADE BLAMELESS — BY BLOOD, THEN WALK IT OUT Revelation 14:5 — For they are blameless. How? Jude 1:24 — He is able to present you blameless. Ephesians 1:7 — Redemption through His blood. 1 John 1:7 — Blood cleanses from all sin. Revelation 1:5 — Freed us from our sins by His blood. GOD'S WILL: You are made pure by grace, not effort. But grace must then produce purity. Romans 6:1-2 — Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? By no means! HOW TO OBEY TODAY: 2 Corinthians 7:1 — Cleanse yourself from every defilement of body and spirit, perfecting holiness in fear of God. 1 John 3:3 — Everyone who hopes in Him purifies himself as He is pure. Hebrews 12:14 — Strive for holiness without which no one will see the Lord. 4. KNOW WHAT TO DO UNTIL HE COMES — BE SEALED, STAY ALIVE IN SPIRIT, FOLLOW THE LAMB Revelation 14:4 — These are firstfruits for God and the Lamb... they follow the Lamb wherever He goes. Revelation 7:3 — Do not harm until we have sealed the servants of our God. Revelation 12:14 — Woman given wings of eagle to fly into wilderness where she is nourished. GOD'S WILL FOR THE LAST AGE: A) BE SEALED NOW — 2 Corinthians 6:2 Now is day of salvation. Don't wait for tribulation. Ephesians 4:30 — Sealed for day of redemption by Holy Spirit. Pray, fast, ask for seal today. B) STAY SPIRITUALLY ALIVE — 1 Thessalonians 4:17 — We who are alive, who are left. Many Christians are alive in flesh but dead in spirit — compromised. THE FRUITFULNESS OF FRIENDSHIP “I have called you friends.” — John 15:15 We do not truly understand the joy of giving ourselves to God until we completely surrender to Him. Many times, our surrender sounds like: “I will do it if…” “Well, I suppose I have to give my life to God.” There is no real joy in surrender when we are still holding back. But when we truly surrender ourselves to Jesus, the Holy Spirit begins to show us the joy that Jesus had in doing the Father's will. Jesus is our example. He said: > “I delight to do Thy will, O my God.” — Psalm 40:8 Jesus did not obey God with constant complaints. He willingly gave Himself because He loved the Father. Is Jesus truly first in my life? Self-sacrifice has no real value if Jesus is not at the centre of it. We may sacrifice our time, money, comfort, or relationships, but the most important question is: Am I doing it because I love Jesus? When our eyes are fixed on Jesus, surrender becomes an expression of love rather than a burden. Love like Jesus We must also be careful not to allow our personal preferences to control who we love. Sometimes we naturally feel closer to certain people because we have similar interests, personalities, or backgrounds. But as Christians, Jesus should be our greatest connection. Christian love is not simply about loving people we naturally like. It means learning to love people the way God loves them. Jesus said: > “I have called you friends.” This friendship with Jesus is based on the new life He gives us, not our old nature. True friendship with Jesus produces a life of surrender, love, and obedience. When we truly love Jesus: We willingly surrender to Him. We find joy in doing His will. We stop living only for ourselves. We learn to love people beyond our natural preferences. Our lives become more like His. The more we love Jesus, the more we will desire to give our lives to Him.
