  • You can make many plans, but the LORD's purpose will prevail.

    Proverbs 19:21 NLT

    ____

Every small step toward God can lead us into deeper intimacy with Him.

    ____

Ask the Lord today to make you a channel of living water. As you bless others, you’ll discover something wonderful: God keeps the pipeline full.

    ____

All-knowing God, nothing I do, think, say, or feel is hidden from You. Thank You for Your mercy and grace, for my hope is in You alone.

    ____

In my desperation I prayed, and the LORD listened; He saved me from all my troubles.

    Psalm 34:6 NLT

  • 2 Corinthians 5:20-21 NASB
"Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. [21] He made Him who knew no sin to be sin in our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him."

How then might we be "reconciled to God?"

    Colossians 1:19-20 NASB
"For it was the Father’s good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him, [20] and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross."

We CAN'T reconcile ourselves to God. There's nothing from us that is worthy of the Father's favor. We may only submit ourselves to the reconciliation God freely offers through Christ and his FINISHED work at the cross. God made a way, through his Son, to make peace with us, despite how evil we have been or how terrible we can become, through the blood of Jesus on the cross.

It is the obedience of Christ to submit to the cross and not our own obedience that saves us and goes on saving us. That's the gospel folks. Christ and him crucified.

    Topic: GOD'S GOODNESS NEVER CHANGES

    Anchor Scripture

    Psalm 100:5 (KJV)
"For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; And his truth endureth to all generations."

One of the most important truths you can learn as a young person is this: God is good—not only when life is good, but at all times.

There will be seasons when your prayers are answered quickly and seasons when you have to wait. There will be moments of celebration and moments of disappointment. But God's character does not change with your circumstances.

Today's scripture gives us three reasons to trust Him: the Lord is good, His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to every generation.

    GOD IS GOOD

God's goodness is not dependent on what He gives us. He is good because goodness is part of who He is.

    Nahum 1:7 (KJV)
"The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him."

When you face difficult moments, don't allow your circumstances to convince you that God has abandoned you. He remains your refuge and strength.

    Romans 8:28 (KJV)
"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."

    HIS MERCY IS EVERLASTING

Every day we experience God's mercy. We don't receive everything we deserve; instead, God continually extends His compassion and forgiveness toward us.

    Lamentations 3:22-23 (KJV)
"It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness."

That means yesterday's failure does not have to become today's identity. When you sincerely turn back to God, His mercy is available.

    Psalm 103:8 (KJV)
"The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy."

HIS TRUTH ENDURES TO ALL GENERATIONS

Everything around us changes. Trends change. Technology changes. Opinions change. Society changes. But God's Word remains true.

    Isaiah 40:8 (KJV)
"The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever."

As a young person, don't build your identity and values entirely on what is popular today. Build your life on God's eternal truth.

    Matthew 24:35 (KJV)
"Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away."

God's goodness was not limited to the generation before you, and it will not end with your generation. His mercy and truth remain available to every generation that seeks Him.

    Takeaway

When life changes, remember that God doesn't. When circumstances are uncertain, His goodness remains certain. When people fail, His mercy remains everlasting. When opinions change, His truth remains forever.

Trust Him. Praise Him. Build your life on His Word.

    Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You because You are always good. Thank You for Your everlasting mercy and unfailing truth. When circumstances change, help me to remember that Your character never changes. Teach me to trust Your Word, depend on Your mercy, and live every day with gratitude for Your goodness. May my generation know You and experience the reality of Your faithfulness. In Jesus' name, Amen.

  • “He made known to us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure that he purposed in Christ.”
    — Ephesians 1:9 (CSB)

God’s plan of redemption was not an afterthought; from the beginning, His purpose was centered in Jesus Christ. What had once been a mystery has now been revealed—God is bringing His saving purposes to fulfillment through His Son. This verse reminds us that even when we cannot understand everything God is doing, we can trust the One whose plan is greater than what we can see. God has a purpose, Christ is at the center of it, and His plan will not fail.

Faith starts with believing Him at His Word.

  • We frequently encounter the metaphor of God’s “eyes” in Scripture, symbolism that speaks of His attentiveness to us. Before the Israelites entered the promised land, Yahweh told them: “If you then become corrupt and make any kind of idol, doing evil in the eyes of the Lord your God . . . you will quickly perish from the land that you are crossing Jordan to possess” (Deuteronomy 4:25-26). Centuries passed, and the people indeed became corrupt. God responded, “I will keep my eye on them for harm and not for good” (Amos 9:4). However, this “harm” (His discipline) ultimately was for their good. Although Yahweh said, “The eyes of the Sovereign Lord are on the sinful kingdom,” He also said, “I will not totally destroy the descendants of Jacob” (v. 8). God’s correction is for our benefit and intended to bring about our repentance. He’s quick to forgive and restore us.
