  • How the YouTube Monetization Program Works

    YouTube monetization mainly works through the **YouTube Partner Program (YPP)**. In simple terms:

    **Advertisers → YouTube → Monetized Creator → Revenue**

    A YouTuber creates eligible content, joins YPP, turns on available monetization features, and earns a share of revenue generated from eligible viewer activity.

    1. First, the YouTuber joins YPP

    A creator must meet YouTube's current eligibility requirements and pass YouTube's channel review.

    There are different levels of YPP access, and the requirements can differ depending on whether the creator wants fan-funding features or full ad-revenue sharing.

    For **full ad revenue sharing**, the commonly used threshold is:

    *1,000 subscribers**, and
    * Either **4,000 valid public watch hours in the previous 12 months**, or
    10 million valid public Shorts views in the previous 90 days**

    YouTube can change eligibility rules, so creators should check the current requirements in YouTube Studio before planning around a specific threshold.

    2. Where does the money come from?

    The biggest source is **advertising**.

    For example:

    **Advertiser pays YouTube → YouTube serves an ad → viewer watches/interacts → eligible revenue is generated → YouTube shares revenue with the creator.**

    The amount a creator earns isn't simply "number of views × fixed price."

    It can depend on:

    * Viewer location
    * Advertiser demand
    * Content topic
    * Type of advertisement
    * Whether an ad was actually served
    * Viewer behavior
    * Seasonality
    * Video format
    * Long-form vs. Shorts
    * YouTube's revenue-sharing rules

    So **1 million views does not have a universally fixed dollar value**.

    3. Long-form videos

    For eligible long-form videos, creators can earn from ads displayed around or during their content.

    A simplified example:

    > A video receives 100,000 views.
    > Some viewers see advertisements, while others don't.
    > Advertisers pay YouTube based on eligible advertising activity.
    > YouTube calculates the creator's applicable revenue share.
    > The creator receives the resulting earnings in their YouTube/AdSense payment system.

    This is why **CPM and RPM are different**.

    **CPM** = what advertisers pay per 1,000 ad impressions, before considering the creator's actual revenue.

    **RPM** = approximately how much the creator earns per 1,000 total video views after YouTube's applicable revenue share and across the creator's monetized/non-monetized views.

    4. Shorts monetization works differently

    Shorts use a different advertising-revenue model.

    Ads are shown **between Shorts**, and eligible revenue is pooled. YouTube then distributes the applicable creator revenue according to its Shorts revenue-sharing system.

    Therefore, you shouldn't calculate Shorts income using the same method as a traditional long-form video's CPM.

    5. YouTube has other monetization methods

    Ads aren't the only way a YouTuber can make money through YouTube.

    Depending on eligibility and availability, creators may earn through:

    | Monetization method | How creator earns |
    | ------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------- |
    | **Watch-page ads** | Revenue share from ads on eligible long-form videos |
    | **Shorts Feed ads** | Revenue share through the Shorts monetization system |
    | **YouTube Premium** | Share of Premium subscription revenue based on member viewing |
    | **Channel memberships** | Viewers pay recurring membership fees |
    | **Super Chat / Super Stickers** | Viewers pay during eligible live streams |
    | **Super Thanks** | Viewers pay to support eligible videos |
    | **Shopping/affiliate features** | Commission or revenue from eligible product activity |
    | **Sponsorships** | Brand pays the creator directly; generally separate from YPP ad revenue |

    6. Example of a YouTuber's revenue ecosystem

    Imagine a Bangladesh-based creator publishes a technology video.

    The video gets **200,000 views**.

    The creator could potentially generate revenue from:

    **200,000 views**

    Ads shown to eligible viewers

    Advertiser spending

    YouTube processes the revenue

    Creator receives applicable revenue share

    The creator might also earn additional money from:

    **YouTube Premium viewers + memberships + Super Thanks + sponsorships + eligible Shopping activity**

    So a successful YouTuber often has **multiple revenue streams**, rather than relying exclusively on advertisements.

    7. Why two channels with the same views can earn very different amounts

    Suppose:

    * Channel A = 100,000 views
    * Channel B = 100,000 views

    They don't necessarily earn the same amount.

    For example, their audiences could have different countries, advertiser demand, topics, watch behavior, ad availability, and video formats.

    A finance/business audience may attract very different advertising demand from an entertainment audience.

    That's why **views alone aren't enough to predict YouTube income**.

    8. How the creator actually gets paid

    After generating eligible earnings, the creator's finalized YouTube earnings are associated with their **AdSense for YouTube** payment account.

    Once the applicable payment requirements are met, Google pays the creator according to the payment schedule and payment method available for their account/country.

    The simplest formula

    Think of YouTube monetization like this:

    **Audience → Views/engagement → Advertiser or fan spending → YouTube revenue → Creator's applicable share → Payment**

    And the most important point:

    > **YouTube doesn't simply pay creators a fixed amount for every view.** Revenue depends on the monetization source and the characteristics of the audience and content.

    If you want, I can also explain **YouTube monetization specifically for Bangladesh**, including **how much 1,000 / 10,000 / 100,000 / 1 million views can potentially earn, CPM vs RPM, AdSense payment, and Bangladesh payment methods**.

  • AMAZING FACTS
    Daily Devotionals

    International Broadcasting.

    April 7th, 2026

    During the 2018 winter Olympics, a broadcaster in Europe gained the rights to broadcast to almost fifty countries. Their task was to produce commentary that was not only translated into the language of every viewing country, but also culturally sensitive. The need for culturally sensitive content became even clearer when a commentator made a comparison between two East Asian countries during the opening ceremonies, leading to an angry outcry from many viewers.

    God knows the importance of building relationships for the spread of the gospel. People will have a hard time believing the goodness of God and His plan to save them if the Christian cannot speak a distinct version of their native language. Usually, God sends people to live in the nation they are trying to reach so that they can learn the culture along with the language.

    Occasionally, however, the Holy Spirit gives people a supernatural gift for the purpose of quickly spreading the gospel. This first took place when the disciples faced a crowed of foreigners. With the intervention of the Holy Spirit, the people heard the good news in their native language and wondered aloud: “How is it that we hear, each in our own language in which we were born?” (Acts 2:8).

    This was a fulfillment of the promise Jesus had made soon after giving the disciples their mission. Empowered by this unusual capacity to suddenly speak numerous foreign languages, the disciples were able to use this diverse gathering to jump start the spread of the gospel. This first reception of the gift became the pattern that the Spirit would duplicate. Looking back at subsequent miracles Peter could say: “As I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell upon them, as upon us at the beginning” (Acts 11:15).

    Apply It:

    Learn a phrase in a foreign language. For instance, using an online translation program, practice saying “Jesus loves you” in a different language.

    Dig Deeper:

    Mark 16:15–17; Acts 2:9–17; Acts 10:1, 44–46

    Key Bible Texts
    And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; (Mark 16:17 KJV)

    A video showing Christian children praying in a church in Iraq has touched many people, reminding viewers that faith can endure even when believers are a small minority.
    Today, roughly 95–98% of Iraq’s population identifies as Muslim, with:
    • Shia Muslims: about 60–65%
    • Sunni Muslims: about 30–35%
    • Christians and other minorities: about 2–5%
    Despite these demographics, historic Christian communities — including the Assyrian Christians and the Chaldean Catholics — continue to preserve their faith and traditions.
    Faith Passed to the Next Generation
    For many Christian families in Iraq, teaching children to:
    • pray
    • read Scripture
    • worship together
    is seen as essential to preserving their identity and faith.
    Moments like children praying in church may appear simple, but they represent courage, resilience, and hope in places where believers have often faced hardship.
    A Faith with Ancient Roots
    Christianity in Iraq dates back nearly 2,000 years, long before the rise of Islam. The region was once home to thriving Christian centers, monasteries, and theological schools.
    Although the Christian population has declined significantly over the past decades due to war, persecution, and migration, many communities remain committed to keeping their faith alive for the next generation.
    A Reminder for the Global Church
    Stories like this encourage believers around the world to remember and pray for Christians living as minorities.

  • "Gospel singer Delia Knox had been paralyzed from the waist down for more than 22 years following a tragic car accident. Yet in 2010, during a revival service in Mobile, Alabama, something extraordinary happened.
    For decades, she ministered faithfully from her wheelchair, holding onto hope that God could restore her. During the Bay Revival, after intense prayer and worship, Delia began to feel sensation returning to her legs. Surrounded by believers, she rose to her feet and took steps across the stage — a moment many witnesses described as miraculous.
    Doctors had long considered her paralysis irreversible, but her recovery stunned both the medical community and viewers worldwide. As videos of her walking spread across Christian media, countless people were moved. Delia gives all glory to God, saying persistent faith, prayer, and the Holy Spirit transformed her life and continues to inspire others to believe in miracles."

  • Exposing the Myth of Evolution — Scientifically

    For decades we’ve been told that evolution is “settled science.”
    But what happens when the actual evidence is examined carefully, honestly, and without bias?

    In this episode, David Paxton and I take a calm, factual, and Scripture-grounded look at evolution claims versus observable, testable science. The short clips highlights one key moment from a much deeper conversation that challenges assumptions many of us were taught to accept without question.

  • Last night, I attended a worship service while millions of people worldwide watched the Super Bowl. Exhausted from an overnight train ride, I went to bed early. However, I couldn’t resist watching the first few minutes of the “All-American Halftime Show” on YouTube. This morning, I was delighted to discover the new lyrics Kid Rock added to his closing number. While critics may argue that Bad Bunny’s performance drew more viewers, it’s important to remember that worldly popularity holds no significance in the afterlife. Even Jesus had many followers that turned away when He make challenging statements like “…unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you.” (John 6:53) Being in God’s will often means choosing less popular options.

  • For generations, the Bible’s account of the pre-Flood world in Genesis chapter 6 was dismissed as symbolic or mythological. The idea of giants, supernatural corruption, and a global Flood was often treated as incompatible with modern understanding.

    Today, that assumption is being challenged.

    In this episode of Last Christian Media, Reverend David Paxton, Evangelical Press Association and AACC Member JD Williams, and Christian Paranormal Expert Nestor Arce examine newly acknowledged ancient evidence that aligns directly with the biblical record. More than 3,300 years after Genesis was written, even modern experts are beginning to admit that Scripture may have been describing real history.

    We’re sharing a clip from this program that highlight key moments in the discussion—covering biblical context, ancient historical records, and why this convergence of evidence matters now.

    This program is presented for educational and faith-based discussion purposes, encouraging viewers to examine Scripture, history, and evidence thoughtfully and responsibly.
