THRONEROOM SHOFAR DEVOTIONAL 8th September,2026 THE ROD OF THE WICKED “For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.” Psalm 125:3 The rod represents oppression, domination, affliction, and wicked authority. The Bible acknowledges that the righteous may experience seasons when the rod of the wicked appears to prevail, but it declares that the rod shall not rest upon them. There is a limit to what the enemy can do. God will not permit oppression to become your permanent portion. What has been pressing you, delaying you, intimidating you, or pushing you toward discouragement will not have the final word. The key word is “rest.” The rod may touch, but it will not rest. You may pass through a battle, but the battle will not define your destiny. God remains the defender of your inheritance. Therefore, do not surrender to the pressure. Do not allow prolonged adversity to push you into ungodly decisions. Keep your hands clean and your faith strong. Your inheritance is still in God's hands. Just to clear the air: I’m a MAGA conservative, but that doesn’t mean what a lot of you apparently think it does. Let’s break it down, because I’m tired of being told what I believe and what I stand for. Spoiler: not every conservative is the same, but most of us I know share these same principles. 1. I believe America should never depend on another country for energy, protection, or basic supply and demand. We are strongest when we build, produce, and protect things right here in the USA. 2. I believe America must put itself first. We cannot pour from an empty cup. Our country should prioritize our own people before trying to save the world. 3. I believe only legal citizens have the right to vote. You must have a valid ID to vote. I also believe in a secure election process. 4. I believe no foreign aid should be given until every veteran at home is taken care of. 5. I believe immigrants make America stronger — when they come legally. If your first act in this country is breaking the law, you aren’t an upstanding citizen. 6. You can marry who you want. I may not agree with your lifestyle, but your life is not mine to judge, I leave that to God Almighty. That being said, I am a Christian and suggest everyone read and follow God's word. 7. I believe men are men and women are women. Surgery or hormone don’t change that. ( like putting asparagus in the microwave and pushing the pizza button, when you open the door, it’s still asparagus) Men should use men’s bathrooms, and women should use women’s bathrooms. 8. I believe schools are for education, not indoctrination. Kids should learn math, history, reading, and science - not political propaganda. They should not be taught they were “born in the wrong body” or pushed into gender delusion. 9. I believe America is in a mental health crisis. Mental health care is real, it matters, and it desperately needs to be addressed. 10. I believe guns aren’t the problem - people are. Gun control only infringes on constitutional rights. But I also believe in common sense: background checks are necessary to keep firearms out of the hands of the mentally ill. I’m a conservative because I believe in faith, family, freedom, and personal responsibility. I don’t want a government that controls every aspect of our lives - I want a government that protects our rights, secures our borders, defends our freedoms, and then gets out of the way. We are strongest when Americans take care of America first, when families are supported, when our veterans are honored, and when our children are given truth, not propaganda. The Truth of God What is truth? Various generations have had different ways of answering that question. It's a popular belief in today’s culture that truth can be whatever you want it to be. This is the idea that truth is relative and unique to every individual person. But if everyone lives their own truth, then nobody can truly know which one is right. And if one person’s truth contradicts another person’s truth, one of them must be wrong. Scripture tells us that there is an objective truth available; a truth that we can live by. Rather than truth being grounded in the individual, it is grounded in something much bigger than ourselves. Truth is sourced from God. God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe and everything that exists, and the one from whom truth and beauty come. God’s Word contains the truths that He has spoken to us—so that we might live according to His truth and His ways. Jesus says that His teachings are true because they come from God. He goes on to say that anyone who knows the truth of God will be set free in their life. When we know the truth, we are no longer living according to a lie. God’s Word tells us the truth and leads us to life. This is why Jesus says that the truth will set us free. That's when we become truly free to live according to how God designed us to live. An important part of learning what's true and what isn’t is reading God’s Word. He has spoken to us through His Word, and all that He has spoken is true. When we read and memorize God’s Word, we learn more and more about God. Take some time today to thank God for revealing Himself to us through His Word, and for illuminating our lives with His truth.

This is what builds oneness. To build a godly family, both husband and wife must shift their grounds and pitch their tents on biblical principles. The husband must always be willing to show grace to his wife by accommodating her into his life and helping her to grow. Jesus says: 'Come to Me. I will give you rest.' So, if you want to have peace and rest in your life, you have to come first to Jesus and then He will do what He said. When your body is tired, you have to take a rest. When Jesus says: 'I will give you rest' this means rest for the soul. The heart of man is always restless and looking for love or affection, peace and tranquility. Some of you are in pain and sorrow because of circumstances in your life. Perhaps due to the loss of a partner. Jesus says: 'Come to Me today, for I will give you peace in that broken heart.' He wants to fill your life with His love. He will always be with you. He will never be unfaithful to you. You can count on Him. He is your best friend. Every person has a conscience and sin causes restlessness in the heart. Fear comes in the heart just as with Adam and Eve. After they had sinned, they wanted to hide from God. You do not feel good when your conscience speaks. The soul is being tormented. The psalmist says: 'For I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me' (Psalm 51:3). The sin continued to haunt him. Dear reader, do you also have your sins as a bag of stones on your back? If that is the case, then Jesus says: 'Come to Me.
