My name is Alex Haro, and my life is built on faith in Jesus Christ. From an early age, I felt a strong call to live according to the Word of God and to serve others with love. The verse that always guides me is “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation” (Mark 16:15). I believe the Great Commission is not just for pastors or evangelists but for every believer, and I strive daily to live in obedience to this calling.

I serve actively with the Marsabit Outreach Prayer Team (MOPT), a ministry devoted to prayer, missions, and evangelism. Together with my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, we go beyond church walls to reach the unreached, encourage believers, and bring hope to communities through the Word of God and intercession.

For me, Christianity is not just about attending services but about being the light of Christ wherever I go. Faith must be practical — expressed in love, unity, and service. My guiding theme is serving with purpose and inspiring change through Christ.

As Ephesians 2:10 reminds me, I am God’s workmanship, created to do good works which He prepared in advance for me. My deepest prayer is that the Gospel will not die with me but will be passed on through MOPT and future generations, so that the light of Christ continues to shine in every season.

  • The Word of God tells us in Isaiah 40:31 that those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength, they will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. My brothers and sisters, this means that no matter how weak we feel, no matter how heavy life becomes, when we place our trust in God, He gives us new strength. The eagle does not fight the storm; it uses the storm to rise higher. In the same way, when trials come our way, we are not meant to be destroyed by them but lifted by them, if only our hope remains in the Lord. Do not give up, do not be weary, for your God is faithful, and He will carry you through every season.

  • Many churches today have shifted focus from the main mission that Jesus gave us. Instead of prioritizing the Great Commission, we often get caught up in building bigger structures, buying instruments, and holding fellowships that lack depth.

    Yet Christ’s command was clear:
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you” (Matthew 28:19–20).

The early church did not measure success by buildings or possessions, but by how many lives were transformed through the Word and power of the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:42 tells us, “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.”

True fellowship should not be shallow entertainment, but a place where believers are equipped, sinners are called to repentance, and disciples are raised. The Apostle Paul reminds us in Romans 10:14, “How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?”

Let us return to the heart of the Gospel—preaching Christ, making disciples, and living as salt and light in the world.
