- Message for today: Faithful in the Prison
Devotional
Joseph had done the right thing.
He resisted temptation.
He remained loyal to God.
Yet instead of reward, Joseph finds himself in prison.
Wrongly accused.
Forgotten by those he helped.
It would have been easy to grow bitter.
But Joseph chooses something different.
Even in prison he remains faithful.
He serves the other prisoners.
He interprets dreams.
He continues to use the gifts God gave him.
Joseph could not control where he was placed, but he could control how he lived there.
And in that hidden place, God was still at work.
The prison was not the end of Joseph’s story.
It was preparation.
The same faithfulness Joseph showed in his father’s house and in Potiphar’s home, he continued to show in prison.
And one day that faithfulness opened the door to the palace.
Reflection:

Love That Reveals Christ
(1 Corinthians 13:13 NKJV)
Faith and hope sustain believers, but love reveals Christ. Paul teaches that spiritual maturity is measured not by knowledge or gifting, but by love expressed through action. Love shapes how truth is spoken and forgiveness is extended.
Christ’s love is sacrificial and intentional. Walking with God means allowing His love to govern our
responses—especially when it costs us something. Love is the clearest evidence that Christ lives within us.
Reflection Questions:
1. How does love shape my words and actions?
2. Where is God calling me to love more intentionally?
3. How does Christ’s love challenge my comfort today?
Prayer:
Lord, help me to walk in Your love daily. Teach me to reflect Your heart in my words, actions, and attitudes. Let Your love be evident in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Practical Application:
● Choose one intentional act of love today.
● Respond with patience where frustration arises.
● Reflect Christ’s love in difficult interactions.
Takeaway Thought:
Love is the greatest evidence of a life transformed by Christ.

- Josiah Alipate:
A video showing Christian children praying in a church in Iraq has touched many people, reminding viewers that faith can endure even when believers are a small minority.
Today, roughly 95–98% of Iraq’s population identifies as Muslim, with:
• Shia Muslims: about 60–65%
• Sunni Muslims: about 30–35%
• Christians and other minorities: about 2–5%
Despite these demographics, historic Christian communities — including the Assyrian Christians and the Chaldean Catholics — continue to preserve their faith and traditions.
Faith Passed to the Next Generation
For many Christian families in Iraq, teaching children to:
• pray
• read Scripture
• worship together
is seen as essential to preserving their identity and faith.
Moments like children praying in church may appear simple, but they represent courage, resilience, and hope in places where believers have often faced hardship.
A Faith with Ancient Roots
Christianity in Iraq dates back nearly 2,000 years, long before the rise of Islam. The region was once home to thriving Christian centers, monasteries, and theological schools.
Although the Christian population has declined significantly over the past decades due to war, persecution, and migration, many communities remain committed to keeping their faith alive for the next generation.
A Reminder for the Global Church
Stories like this encourage believers around the world to remember and pray for Christians living as minorities.
“Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life.” — Revelation 2:10
May believers everywhere be strengthened, protected, and encouraged as they continue to live out their faith.0 Commenti 0 condivisioni 17 Views1
