Sometime about 2008 after I graduated from RCBC Bible College I got invited to minister in a RCCG Parish. I lived in Uyo the Akwa Ibom State capital..and the parish was inside a village about 30 minutes from the Stste capital. I took a bus and a bike to reach the place very early in thd morning getting directions from the pastor, who was my friend and prayer partner. After the ministration I returned back to the city..but as I left the church, his wife, handed me a lantern as my honourarium. The Church decided to give me that. On one of our churches workers WhatApp group chats..someone posted a frightful message concerning the kidnappers and kidnapping in the country, Nigeria. I was so piqued, and moved to create this image with chat GPT backed with strong scriptural arguments on how we should not be afraid but have faith!! I almost gave personal testimonies of God's divine and supernatural interventions in my life and family, over the years, the decades but I did not.. It would have become an epistle. "...but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God" Scriptures says in 1 Samuel 30:6. We see in this situation that had resulted in complete hopelessness and despondency..where even David's trusted men were speaking of stoning him. But David had to draw from the relationship he had with the Lord HIS ( my emphases) God and encourage himself. This CANNOT happen if one does not know his God..or does not have a relationship with Him.. It was his relationship with HIS GOD that motivated, inspired and eventually saved him and his household, including that of his mighty men.
