- OKAY, LET'S SHAKE THIS TABLE A LITTLE BIT.
ONCE SAVED, FOREVER SAVED!!! HOW TRUE? AND HOW UNTRUE?
Read carefully before casting that stone...
I think we should be very sensitive and conscious of over-emphasizing the narratives on the scriptures in the guise of "revelation." Most Bible passages are as simple as they sound. Let's not over-interpret them first. Let's look at them word for word.
So this is the first question that came to mind, while meditating on the subject of salvation....
Why would names be blotted out from the book of life?
Revelation 3:4-5
You have a few names even in Sardis who have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with Me in white, for they are worthy.
He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.[4][5]
Note: "Who have not defiled their garments" — meaning they were saved (symbolized by the white garment). Secondly, "He who overcomes." What does that mean?
Let's look further.
Revelation 21:27
But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life
Note: "Anything that defiles." Let's not give that another context. What are the things that defile? Things that cause abomination and lies.
Let's also not forget that this was written to the church, not unbelievers.
See this too:
Revelation 22:19
and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
The above reveals the danger in what we supposedly call "revelation" but which has driven us away from the simplicity of this gospel. That alone can cause one’s name to be blotted out. This is why believers must be careful of certain teachings, as they can remove the good conscience left in a believer and lead to deliberately disregarding Christ and His ordinances.
Now let's move to Repentance.
Matthew 4:17
From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” Four Fishermen Called as Disciples[17]
This was Jesus' first preaching after His wilderness experience, as revealed in the book of Matthew.
Why do we even need to repent? Because salvation doesn't just happen to people on the road. What are we repenting from, even though Christ paid the price?
That means eternal life through salvation is encapsulated in a certain life — which is in Christ Jesus. Therefore, you must first repent and desire that life, embrace it, and be ready to live by it. (Remember Jesus also said, "If any man must follow me, he must first deny himself.")
We all know what the works of the flesh are from the Scriptures, and the fruit of the Spirit. The fruit is the testimony of the life that we have received, and the manifestation of eternal life in Christ through the Holy Spirit.
Let's also look at the thief on the cross beside Jesus. Jesus was not just moved out of pity for him, but because he genuinely asked and admitted they had committed the crime — repentance and acceptance of Christ on display — unlike the other thief who spoke otherwise.
JESUS ALSO SAID, "If you love me, keep my commandments." Why should people who are already saved keep His commandments?
Finally, you can see what the Bible says about the last days — that some believers would fall away from the faith. This is why Paul urged us to examine ourselves, to be sure we are still in the faith.
This is where I am heading now:
Salvation is eternal, yes! I can agree it cannot be lost in this sense: No man or spirit can undo what JESUS has done or given. No man or being can take your salvation because it is eternal. So you can't lose it if you hold on to it firmly according to the Scriptures. How do you hold it?
It is written in:
Revelation 3:3
Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you.
Revelation 2:25-26
But hold fast what you have till I come.
And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations
Revelation 3:11
Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown.
Also, by watching out for false teachers, testing all spirits, and more.
The point is this:
You cannot lose it because you are in Christ. For Christ saved you into eternity through His Spirit. So we have eternal life because the life of Christ is in us, as shown in Scriptures. And that also means there are certain lives not found in Christ. This is the basis of repentance!!
Can I sin and still be saved? Yes, if I repent according to the Scriptures.
Proverbs 24:16
For a righteous man may fall seven times And rise again, But the wicked shall fall by calamity.
Note: He didn't remain on the floor but rose because of the Spirit within him.
What if I continue in sin, my conscience did not reprove me and I refused to repent though I confessed Christ as my Lord and savior? Well then, where is that life of Christ which you received by His spirit through salvation?
And so without apology you can loose salvation Sir/Ma, JESUS DID His part by giving you eternally, you lost it when you refuse accept that life not in Him...
If those that call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved, then the people THAT Jesus will respond to that "you workers of iniquity, I know you not" even after they called Him Lord "by your name we cast out demons, prophesied and healed the sick" were saved yet He knew them not...
Revelation 9:20-21
But the rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands, that they should not worship demons, and idols of gold, silver, brass, stone, and wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk.
And they did not repent of their murders or their sorceries or their sexual immorality or their thefts.
Anything outside this, I believe, is dangerous and should be carefully looked into through discernment. You can't just say you don't lose something you repented to receive. If not, the whole world would be considered saved.
And which is better, to endeavor and strive to live a Christ life through the consciousness of the Spirit of God within us or to accept I can do anything with my life even after confessing Christ and still be saved plus settling for the life that will always displease God.
When you plan for the next sin and the next one and assume you are forgiven even for future sins, it means sinning has become habitual, delibrate and a conscious act, so what if you die in the last one?
These writings are plenty, but the subject is just as sensitive as it is. We need to seek to learn and understand the faith we profess. A little excess and a little touch of extremity is all Satan needs to put us in ignorance.
The Scriptures are for one purpose, and that is: To reveal Christ and expose Satan.
May God continue to strengthen our understanding in JESUS' NAME!

Please log in to like, share and comment! - ZEAL WITHOUT KNOWLEDGE IS DANGEROUS, KNOWLEDGE WITHOUT ENCOUNTER IS CATASTROPHIC
Not everyone that calls God by name know Him by heart.
Not everyone that calls Him God take Him as the Lord
Not every one that stands on the pulpit understand the person of God.
Yes every genuine question pertaining the person of Christ draws us closer to the answers of who He really is.
Most men want to teach God but haven't encountered Him beyond the letter and that's why they can't accurately represent the person, character, nature, power and revelation of God's eternal being due to lack of experienced and encounter of Him.
An experience and encounter with God through Christ and the help of the Holy Spirit is beyond what is written, it has it's reality, it's knowing and conviction beyond words.
Even those inspired to write the scriptures did out of experience. And so the letter is supposed to lead our sincerity into an experience and prepare us for the encounter.
But you see, not everyone wants to take a leap of faith beyond what is seen.
Not everyone is ready to pay the price on their kneels.
Not everyone have the patience of waiting to be announced by Him.
Not everyone is willing to seek and know beyond the surface.
Not everyone is thirsty and hungry for His kind of righteousness.
Not everyone's zeal is powered beyond words of confession to the point of heart fellowship.
Even some so called churches of our days is porous and knows nothing about what they profess.
Many of us are brought up in the church but we got to know God by personal experience and encounters with JESUS that affirms God's reality beyond what anyone can teach and rather helps us confirm that which was taught. It helps us test all spirit and know which is of God, it helps us examine ourselves to the mind to be sure we are still in the faith!
The Letter and the Spirit are two different thing.
Morality and spirituality are far apart.
Knowledge solely based on what is written can never equate knowledge based on encounter.
Those are two different things.
May you receive an understanding

- WHY THE HOLY GHOST IS THE BEST TEACHER, NOT LOGIC NOR EXPERIENCE, NOT PHILOSOPHY.
Sounds powerful but that's logical view, totally incorrect, to admit it's different from making a statement. How can't he remain God because he mentioned other gods. So you are telling me that you being human means nothing because there are other human, how does that has anything to do with your name. You can't understand scriptures philosophically.
The potency of God in us is not in the name, it's the knowledge of Him, that's why many will say on the last day "Lord Lord, we do this and that in your name" on the last days and yet God will still say He doesn't know them. Or haven't you read? Where the scriptures also said many draw close in their lips but there hearts are far from Him. JESUS also told the Samaritan woman, that she know not who she worshipped.
Spiritual things answers to knowledge not name, rather the knowledge of the name . Even the name of JESUS will not do anything if you mention without knowledge and understanding the person of Jesus Christ. The sons of sceva tried it and they were messed up bad.
That's why the bible also said many perished because of lack of knowledge. That's a knowledge of God not the name of God and definitely not because they didn't pray but lacks the knowledge of whom they praying to.
And for the records, He's not a God, He is The God!!!!! Meaning there are many gods but only one supreme and eternal God, and He's the God!! No competition!
Many are commenting he's right without even taking a moment to consider what he's saying, and that only implies that many Christians in this generation have little understanding about God and that's why everything will make sense to you even when it's a great blunder.
God has many names and those names represents His different character and nature, looking a name will only limit you of His fullness. Rather seek the knowledge of Him and you will see all of Him.

- POWER OF PRAYER!
When you eat solid food without water to drive it down, constipation may just be inevitable. That's exactly what it means when you have the word but lack a prayer life, you will always be short of revelation.
There is a quickinening power deployed on every believer as He/she explore God through consistent prayer. This is what edifies and strengthens your will to live according to God's purpose for your life especially in the place of total obedience. There are lot of spirit driven character and dispositions many of us hope to put on but there is no power and will to do that, many want to love unconditionally but couldn't, many want to live a sanctified life but it's almost impossible, many desire selfcontrol and anger management capacity but zero will to do so. This is because the mind of the flesh is weak, and that's why we must cultivate a praying habit, so that strength can be available to please God and walk in the fruit of the spirit...
Finally, your ministrations and supplications can't cause the atmosphere to shift if your prayer can't move the atmosphere of your mind and spirit, for your mind is the gateway to the spirit realm.
it's what is conceived in your mind that you bring into the people's atmosphere, if you conceive hatred, you minister hatred. pride, you minister the spirit of pride. Just as much as you conceive the fullness of the Holy Ghost, you also minister His presence cos that's what you mind is able to mirror over time.
In other words, your mind mirrors your spiritual atmosphere. Hence, whenever your heart is not right, your atmosphere isn't.
For this reason you must always pray and not faint so that the purifier of heart purifies you. That's why apostle Paul said "one who prays in the HolyGhost Edifies Himself".
May you receive understanding in JESUS NAME.
DO HAVE A GLORIOUS DAY AHEAD

- Love is never an emotional disposition, it's not a product of feeling. It is a choice. Even when you don't feel it, it is a responsibility every believer must carry.
Peter showed Jesus love emotionally by rebuking Him of the cross, but you see Satan took advantage of it. God's showed us that by giving His only begotten son not because we have done something pleasing or worthy, but our God took it upon Himself as a Father responsible for his children regardless of their shortcomings.
Summary; Choose to love, not feel to love. Choices last, while feeling is but for a while, it fades. This is how you build a lasting home and journey with Christ!

- So Why does the farmer plant a mango tree if not to eat the fruit?
Can a mango tree produce an apple fruit?
Have you not read? How Jesus cursed the tree because it didn't bear fruit. He also said "every tree that does not bear fruit will be thrown into the fire", that's because the importance is to God not to Man, If God has worked in you through the church, then your fruit will be a prove that your church has done the needful, but if you bear no fruit, then your church is of no effect or perhaps, you yourself refuse to bear the fruit
Note "the fruit is more important than the tree" I repeat, more important, more, more more, more more.
People coming to our churches is not as important as the life of Christ formed in them. Yes, it's good to invite people to our church to hear the word of God, but then it is more important to focus on the transformation of that individual into Christ rather than the invitation itself.
So As long as you have a church you attend and you are receiving God's word their, I shouldn't have a problem with you not coming to my church. The concern should be "is Christ established in your life? Not "am gonna break your left nose if you don't come to my church! Cos we the best church in the universe"... Nah nah nah, Christ is one body and one Spirit.

- The word without prayer is like eating a solid food without water, it will definitely result in constipation.
Most believer want to be able to talk and debate about scriptures, absolutely okay. But not many want to take responsibility in the place of prayer.
Remember Apostle Paul SAID, 1 Corinthians 2:4 And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power. He also said "the letter kills but the spirit gives life"
Reason why it is difficult to win souls in this generation is that we preach a gospel without the compelling power of the HolyGhost, so people feel the goosebumps from message preached but their lives remain the same, for there is no transformative power.
Such compelling and demonstration of power is made manifestation by your gravity of investment in the place of prayer. Remember the apostles couldn't do much until the HolyGhost came upon then at the upper room while praying. After which there words became spirit, life and power for signs and wonders and this the world could not deny.
So brethren, it is much profitable to use the same energy exacted in the word into prayer and you will see God's mighty and miraculous move in your everyday life as a Christian! The word without prayer is like eating a solid food without water, it will definitely result in constipation.
