This broke my heart as I stood there recording… 💔 I watched these three precious children checking empty soda bottles, hoping to find even a little something left inside to drink. It pained me deeply. If I had enough, I would have supported them right away. I would have welcomed them home into the Kids Hope family without hesitation. But I could only stand and watch… I share this because I know exactly how they feel. I was once a street child myself. I know the hunger, the uncertainty, and what it feels like to have nothing at all. That is why I cannot stop, and why I am reaching out to kind hearts everywhere. Please, stand with us. Fasten Your Seat Belts, The Ride Is Going To Get Rough 🙏 2 Timothy 3:1–5 is Paul's warning to Timothy about the spiritual and moral condition of people in the "last days." Rather than focusing only on future events, Paul prepares believers to recognize these attitudes and remain faithful to Christ. Paul explains that the last days will be marked by increasing moral decay, selfishness, and rejection of God's truth. People will love themselves more than God, pursuing pleasure, pride, and material gain while neglecting humility, gratitude, and holiness. Relationships will be fractured by disobedience, unforgiveness, slander, and a lack of self-control. Most sobering is Paul's description of those who "have a form of godliness but deny its power." They may appear religious outwardly, but their lives are not transformed by the Holy Spirit. Their profession of faith does not match their conduct. Paul's instruction is clear: do not follow their example or become influenced by their lifestyle. Instead, remain steadfast in the truth of God's Word. Spiritual deception – Outward religion without inward transformation. Self-centered living – Love of self replaces love for God. Moral decline – Sin becomes normalized and celebrated. Call to discernment – Believers must recognize these patterns and remain faithful. Enduring faith – Timothy is encouraged to stand firm regardless of the culture around him. This passage is not meant to produce fear but spiritual alertness. Every generation of Christians is called to examine its own heart before pointing to the world. The question is not simply, "Do I look godly?" but rather, "Is the transforming power of Christ evident in my life?" The Holy Spirit produces humility, love, self-control, forgiveness, and obedience—qualities that stand in sharp contrast to the attitudes Paul describes. Heavenly Father, guard my heart from the spirit of this age. Help me to love You more than myself, to walk in humility and truth, and to live by the power of Your Holy Spirit rather than merely appearing religious. Let my life reflect the transforming grace of Jesus Christ, so that others may see You in me. Keep me faithful until the day of Christ's return. In Jesus' name, Amen.
