• Sermon Title: "FEED MY SHEEP, NOT YOUR AGENDA"
    Key Texts: Ezekiel 34:1-10, John 21:15-17, 1 Peter 5:2-4, Hebrews 12:14, 2 Timothy 4:3-4

    INTRODUCTION
    The Lord is asking the same question today He asked Peter: “Do you love me? Feed my sheep.” John 21:17
    But in this last age, many shepherds have left the sheep to chase the world.
    And many sheep have left holiness to chase prosperity.
    Both are losing the eternal gift.

    1. WARNING TO SHEPHERDS: YOU LEFT THE HEART OF THE LORD
    Ezekiel 34:2-4 — “Woe to the shepherds of Israel who feed themselves! Should not shepherds feed the sheep? The weak you have not strengthened, the sick you have not healed... and you have not sought the lost.”

    God’s heart for His people is:
    Feed them the Word, not opinions
    Heal the broken, not use them
    Seek the lost, not ignore them

    But some shepherds today have “given into the world and its things.”
    Jeremiah 23:1 — “Woe to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture!” declares the Lord.

    Why? Because it’s not sanctified. Ministry without holiness becomes business.
    John 10:13 — The hireling sees the wolf and flees because he cares nothing for the sheep.

    God’s warning: Ezekiel 34:10 — “I am against the shepherds, and I will require my sheep at their hand.”

    2. WARNING TO THE CHURCH: YOU LEFT HOLINESS FOR PROSPERITY
    The message says: “saved church not clinging to holiness bcos jealous, hatred, gossip and not obeying the word... itching ears for prosperity gospel instead of soul eager for sanctification gospel.”

    This is exactly what Paul warned:
    2 Timothy 4:3-4 — “For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.”

    Holiness is being traded for hype.
    Hebrews 12:14 — “Strive for peace with everyone, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.”

    Signs of a church that left holiness:
    Jealousy and hatred - Galatians 5:19-21 works of the flesh
    Gossip - Proverbs 16:28 separates close friends
    Disobedience to the Word - James 1:22 “be doers of the word”
    Prosperity over the Cross - 1 Peter 2:2 “long for the pure spiritual milk”

    When we chase blessings more than the Blesser, we lose the eternal gift: sanctification and seeing God.

    3. GOD’S CALL BACK: RETURN TO THE SHEPHERD
    1 Peter 5:2-4 — “Shepherd the flock of God that is among you... And when the chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory.”

    To Shepherds:
    Repent. Return to feeding, not fleecing. Acts 20:28 — “Pay careful attention to yourselves and to all the flock.”

    To the Church:
    1 Peter 1:15-16 — “As he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct.”
    Holiness is not legalism. It is love. It is being set apart for God.

    Psalm 51:10 — “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.”

    CLOSING PRAYER
    Father, forgive us.
    Forgive shepherds who fed themselves and left Your sheep. Put back in us the heart of the Lord for Your people.
    Forgive Your church for chasing prosperity and ignoring sanctification. Create in us clean hearts.
    Let us hunger for Your Word, not myths. Let us love holiness, not gossip and jealousy.
    Make us a people ready for Jesus. In His Name, Amen.

  • This is Ezekiel 34:2-4 season.

    Here is DAILY BREAD FOR THE LAST DAYS :

    TODAY'S WORD
    Text: Jeremiah 23:1-2
    “Woe to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! declares the Lord... You have scattered my flock and have driven them away, and you have not attended to them.”
    Also: 2 Timothy 4:3-4 “For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions...”

    MESSAGE: SHEPHERDS, RETURN TO THE HEART OF GOD
    The Lord is crying over His sheep in these last days.

    1. THE WARNING TO SHEPHERDS
    God says “Woe” to shepherds who feed themselves instead of the flock.
    When a shepherd chases the world and its things - money, fame, titles - he leaves the sheep hungry.
    When he preaches prosperity gospel but not holiness gospel, he trades eternal gifts for temporary bread.
    John 10:12 “The hireling... sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees.”
    A flock that is not sanctified is a flock that will be lost. Because “without holiness no one will see the Lord” Hebrews 12:14

    2. THE WARNING TO THE CHURCH
    Saved church, wake up!
    Jealousy, hatred, gossip, disobedience to the Word... this is not the garment of Christ Colossians 3:8-10.
    When we cling to itching ears and reject sound doctrine, we become easy prey.
    God’s will is not just prosperity in the pocket. It is sanctification of the soul 1 Thessalonians 4:3.
    Jesus did not die to make us rich. He died to make us HOLY.

    3. STRENGTHENING & ENCOURAGEMENT
    But there is hope. 1 Peter 5:4 “And when the chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory.”
    To every faithful shepherd: Keep feeding the Word. Keep calling to repentance.
    To every sheep: Return to the Word. Love holiness more than miracles. Love Jesus more than blessings.

    PRAYER:
    Father, raise up shepherds after Your own heart Jeremiah 3:15. Purify the pulpit. Purify the pew. Let us not trade eternity for earth. Sanctify us by Your truth. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

    ACTION TODAY:
    For Shepherds/Teachers: Check your message. Is it pointing people to Jesus and holiness, or just to prosperity?
    For All: Forgive anyone you have bitterness toward today. Gossip and hatred grieve the Holy Spirit Ephesians 4:30-31.

    CAN A CHRISTIAN LISTEN TO WORLDLY SECULAR MUSIC? THE SHOCKING TRUTH MANY BELIEVERS ARE AFRAID TO DISCUSS

    Child of God, this is one of the most debated questions in Christianity today.

    Some believers say, "Music is just entertainment." Others believe anything outside worship is dangerous.

    But the real question is this:

    What is your music feeding? Your flesh or your spirit?

    Music is never just background noise. It shapes emotions, influences thoughts, creates atmospheres, and affects your spiritual sensitivity. Many people judge music by the beat while ignoring the message it carries.

    The Bible shows that music has spiritual influence. In 1 Samuel 16:23, David's harp brought relief to Saul as the evil spirit departed. If godly music can usher in peace, worship, and God's presence, shouldn't we also consider what ungodly music may be inviting into our hearts?

    This is why discernment matters.

    Not every secular song is evil, but neither is every song spiritually safe. The issue isn't simply the rhythm—it's the message, the values it celebrates, and the fruit it produces in your life.

    Much of today's music glorifies lust, immorality, pride, violence, greed, drunkenness, revenge, and rebellion against God's ways.

    Ask yourself honestly:

    • If I spend hours every day feeding on messages that oppose God's Word, how will that shape my heart?

    Proverbs 4:23 says, "Guard your heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life."

    Music enters through emotion and repetition. What you repeatedly listen to eventually shapes your desires, attitudes, and spiritual appetite. It is no surprise that many believers know every lyric of a worldly song but struggle to remember Scripture or spend time in prayer.

    At the same time, avoid legalism.

    Not every secular song promotes sin. Some simply tell stories about life, family, or human experiences. That's why believers need the guidance of the Holy Spirit—not blanket condemnation.

    Instead, ask these questions:

    • Does this music glorify sin?

    • Does it stir ungodly desires?

    • Does it weaken or strengthen my relationship with Christ?

    Philippians 4:8 calls us to dwell on whatever is true, pure, honorable, lovely, and worthy of praise.

    Romans 12:2 reminds us not to be conformed to this world, but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds.

    The truth is simple:

    • Not everything lawful is beneficial.

    • Not everything popular is healthy.

    • Not everything entertaining is harmless.

    Guard your heart. Protect your spiritual atmosphere. Let the Holy Spirit shape what fills your mind, because what fills your heart will eventually shape your life.

    What do you think? Can Christians listen to secular music? Have you seen music affect your walk with God?

    THE MIRACLE OF WHALE MILK

    Whale calves nurse in the open ocean, where ordinary milk would quickly disperse into the surrounding water. Instead, whale milk is extraordinarily rich, containing roughly 35-50% fat depending on the species, compared to about 3-5% fat in human milk. Its thick, paste-like consistency helps it stay together underwater so the calf can consume it rather than watching it wash away. This nutrient-dense milk fuels incredible growth. A blue whale calf can gain 150-200 pounds every day, drinking well over 100 gallons (400+ liters) of milk daily during its first months of life.

    A whale calf is typically born tail first, helping prevent drowning during delivery while its head remains inside the mother until the final moments of birth. From birth to feeding, every detail is perfectly suited for life in the sea.

    These coordinated systems had to work together from the very beginning. They point to the wisdom, planning, and foresight of our Creator, not to countless unguided accidents over time.

    "O Lord, how manifold are Your works! In wisdom You have made them all." Psalm 104:24

    Work for the needy.

    And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. Matthew 9:35

    What a busy life Christ led! Day by day He might be seen entering the humble abodes of want and sorrow, speaking hope to the downcast and peace to the distressed. The poor and suffering received the greatest share of His attention. Children loved Him. They were drawn to Him by His ready sympathy. By His simple, loving words He settled many a difficulty arising among them. Often He took them on His knee and talked with them in a way that won their hearts....

    Humble, gracious, tenderhearted, pitiful, He went about doing good, feeding the hungry, lifting up the bowed down, comforting the sorrowing. None who came to Him for aid went away unrelieved. Not a thread of selfishness was woven into the pattern He has left for His children to follow. He lived the life that He would have all live who believe on Him. It was His meat and drink to do the will of His Father. To all who came to Him for help He brought faith and hope and life. Wherever He went He carried blessing.

    The tender sympathies of our Saviour were aroused for fallen and suffering humanity. If you would be His followers, you must cultivate compassion and sympathy. Indifference to human woes must give place to lively interest in the sufferings of others. The widow, the orphan, the sick and the dying, will always need help. Here is an opportunity to proclaim the gospel—to hold up Jesus, the hope and consolation of all men. When the suffering body has been relieved, and you have shown a lively interest in the afflicted, the heart is opened, and you can pour in the heavenly balm. If you are looking to Jesus, and drawing from Him knowledge and strength and grace, you can impart His consolation to others, because the Comforter is with you. Fredy Afito

  • THE STRONGHOLD OF REVENGE

    Not every stronghold of fantasy is sexual. Some people are trapped by revenge fantasies.

    They constantly imagine themselves humiliating those who hurt them. They replay arguments in their minds. They picture themselves finally getting even. They imagine people suffering for what they did.

    Then they justify it by saying, "I'm not actually doing anything." No. You are doing something.

    You are feeding hatred. You call it justice, but it is revenge dressed in legal clothing.

    You convince yourself they deserve it. You rehearse conversations that never happened. You replay painful memories. You build entire imaginary worlds where you finally win. All of that strengthens the stronghold.

    Many people have spent years imprisoning someone in their hearts.

    Every time that person's name comes up, the prison door remains shut. But while you think you are holding them captive, you are the one living in bondage.

    God never asked you to carry vengeance. He said, "Vengeance is Mine." (Romans 12:19)

    When you refuse to release someone, you are trying to do a job God reserved for Himself. That is why forgiveness is not saying what they did was acceptable. Forgiveness is handing the case back to God.

    It is saying, "Lord, You are the Judge. I will no longer carry this burden."

    When Satan loses his grip over the heart, his grip over many other areas begins to break as well.

    So what do you do when the person comes to mind? Bless them. Don't replay the offence. Don't hold another imaginary trial in your mind. Simply say, "Lord, bless them." Then leave the matter there.

    Do it again tomorrow. Do it the next day. Keep doing it until your heart feels free of the pain from the event.

    You are not setting them free because they deserve it. You are setting them free so that you can be free.

    Stop carrying what belongs to God. Release the prisoner. Let God handle the judgment.

    Shalom!

    WHAT ARE FOUL SPIRITS?

    Understanding Their Nature, Influence, and the Believer’s Victory.

    Main Text:

    Mark 1:23–27
    Supporting Texts: Matthew 12:43–45; Luke 8:26–39; Ephesians 6:10–18; James 4:7

    There are battles that the human eye cannot see.
    A person can look healthy on the outside and yet be fighting a spiritual battle within. A home can look beautiful while confusion fills it. A person can have education, money, connections, and opportunities, yet experience strange patterns that seem difficult to explain.
    The Bible teaches us that the spiritual realm is real.
    But we must be careful: not every problem is caused by a demon, and not every unusual experience should be labeled as spiritual warfare. Christians must combine spiritual discernment with wisdom, prayer, sound doctrine, and appropriate practical help.
    So, what exactly are foul spirits?
    A foul spirit is an unclean or evil spirit—a spiritual being opposed to God and associated with evil, deception, bondage, oppression, and defilement.
    But here is the good news:
    The believer does not need to live in fear of foul spirits. Jesus Christ has authority over them.

    1. WHAT ARE FOUL SPIRITS?
    The expression “foul spirit” is used in some Bible translations to describe what is also called an “unclean spirit.”
    Mark 1:23–24
    > “And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit…”
    The spirit recognized Jesus and said, in effect, “I know who You are.”
    This teaches us something important:
    A. Foul spirits are spiritual beings
    They are not human beings, psychological conditions, or imaginary personalities.
    Scripture presents them as part of the spiritual opposition against God's purposes.
    B. They are called “unclean”
    The word speaks of something morally and spiritually polluted.
    Their purpose is contrary to the holiness of God.
    C. They oppose God's work
    Where God brings truth, they promote deception.
    Where God desires freedom, they seek bondage.
    Where God desires holiness, they encourage defilement.
    Where God desires peace, they seek confusion and destruction.
    But their activity does not mean they possess unlimited power.
    God remains sovereign.
    2. FOUL SPIRITS SEEK TO DECEIVE, OPPRESS AND DESTROY
    Jesus warned about the activity of evil spirits.
    John 10:10
    > “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy…”
    The devil's purpose is destructive.
    However, notice the second half:
    > “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”
    Jesus is greater than the enemy!
    Foul spirits may seek to influence:
    Thoughts
    Attitudes
    Temptations
    Destructive behavior
    Fear
    Deception
    Hatred
    Occult practices
    Spiritual bondage
    Opposition to God's truth
    But we must maintain biblical balance.
    Temptation is not automatically demonic possession.
    Mental or emotional distress is not automatically demonic activity.
    A difficult season is not automatically an attack from an evil spirit.
    Sometimes a person needs prayer.
    Sometimes a person needs repentance.
    Sometimes a person needs wise counsel.
    And sometimes a person needs medical or mental-health support.

    Spiritual maturity knows the difference.
    3. JESUS CHRIST HAS AUTHORITY OVER FOUL SPIRITS
    This is where the message becomes powerful.
    Mark 1:27
    > “For with authority commandeth he even the unclean spirits, and they do obey him.”
    Notice the phrase:
    “They do obey Him.”
    Jesus did not negotiate with the spirit.
    He did not panic.
    He did not run away.
    He exercised divine authority.
    Luke 10:19
    Jesus told His disciples:
    > “Behold, I give unto you power… over all the power of the enemy.”
    The authority belongs to Christ.
    Therefore, Christian spiritual warfare is not about shouting the loudest.
    It is not about dramatic performances.
    It is not about trying to impress people.
    It is about standing in Christ, submitting to God, knowing His Word, and resisting the enemy.
    James 4:7
    > “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
    Notice the order:
    Submit → Resist → Victory.
    You cannot successfully resist the devil while deliberately refusing to submit to God.
    4. HOW DO WE GUARD OUR LIVES AGAINST SPIRITUAL DARKNESS?
    Ephesians 6:11
    > “Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”
    Paul does not tell Christians to become obsessed with demons.
    He tells them to put on the armour of God.
    The armour includes:
    Truth — Don't build your life on lies.
    Righteousness — Guard your heart and conduct.
    The Gospel of peace — Walk in peace with God.
    Faith — Trust God when circumstances are frightening.
    Salvation — Remember who you belong to.
    The Word of God — Know and speak God's truth.
    Prayer — Maintain communion with God.
    The answer to spiritual darkness is not fear.
    The answer is deeper relationship with Christ.
    5. DO NOT OPEN DOORS TO DARKNESS
    The Bible repeatedly warns God's people against involvement with occult practices and spiritual darkness.
    Deuteronomy 18:10–12
    Scripture warns against practices such as divination, sorcery, witchcraft, and consulting spiritual mediums.
    Why?
    Because God wants His people to seek Him, not supernatural power from forbidden sources.
    Some people want spiritual power without spiritual submission.
    They want protection without holiness.
    They want miracles without Christ.
    They want supernatural experiences without discernment.
    That is dangerous.
    Ephesians 5:11
    > “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.”

    If something belongs to darkness, don't entertain it simply because it appears powerful.
    Not everything supernatural is from God.

    BIBLICAL CASE STUDY:

    THE MAN OF GADARA

    Mark 5:1–20
    Jesus encountered a man who was severely oppressed by unclean spirits.
    His life had become completely broken.
    He lived among the tombs.
    He was isolated.
    He harmed himself.
    He could not be controlled by ordinary human means.
    But when Jesus arrived, everything changed.
    Jesus confronted the spiritual bondage, and the man was eventually found:
    > “sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind.”
    Mark 5:15
    Look at the transformation:
    Before Jesus:
    Broken.
    After Jesus:
    Restored.
    Before Jesus:
    Isolated.
    After Jesus:
    Reconnected.
    Before Jesus:
    Tormented.
    After Jesus:
    In his right mind.
    This is the power of Christ.
    And Jesus gave the man a mission:
    > “Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee.”
    Jesus doesn't only deliver people from bondage; He gives them a testimony and a purpose.

    DEEP SPIRITUAL INSIGHTS

    1. Don't become more conscious of demons than you are conscious of Jesus.
    Some Christians can talk about demons for hours but barely talk about Christ.
    That is unhealthy.
    Jesus must remain the center.
    2. Spiritual warfare begins with spiritual alignment.
    Before fighting external battles, examine your relationship with God.
    Is there deliberate disobedience?
    Unforgiveness?
    Secret sin?
    Occult involvement?
    Compromise?
    Repentance is not weakness.
    Repentance closes doors that compromise opens.
    3. The devil is real, but he is not equal to God.
    Christianity does not teach two equal powers fighting for supremacy.
    God is Creator.
    Satan is a created being.
    Therefore, never place Satan on God's level.
    There is no divine competition.
    4. Deliverance should lead to discipleship.
    A person may experience deliverance and still need spiritual growth.
    Jesus did not call us merely to be delivered.
    He called us to follow Him.
    5. Freedom must be maintained through Christ-centered living.
    Matthew 12:43–45 gives a serious warning about an “empty” house.
    The lesson is powerful:
    Don't merely remove darkness; fill your life with Christ.
    Fill your mind with God's Word.
    Fill your heart with prayer.
    Fill your life with fellowship.
    Fill your days with obedience.

    PRACTICAL ACTION STEPS

    1. Give your life completely to Jesus Christ.
    2. Renounce occult and spiritually compromising practices.
    3. Study Scripture consistently.
    4. Develop a strong prayer life.
    5. Guard what you watch, listen to, and celebrate.
    6. Refuse to live in fear.
    7. Seek mature Christian counsel when facing serious spiritual concerns.
    8. Don't automatically interpret every physical or psychological problem as demonic.
    Seek appropriate professional help when necessary while continuing in prayer.
    9. Stay connected to a healthy, Bible-believing Christian community.
    10. Make Jesus the center of your spiritual life.

    QUESTIONS FOR REFLECTION

    1. Am I more fascinated by spiritual manifestations than by Jesus Christ?
    2. Is there anything in my life that compromises my walk with God?
    3. Am I feeding my spirit with God's Word?
    4. Do I respond to spiritual challenges with faith or fear?
    5. Have I opened myself to practices Scripture forbids?
    6. Is my home and personal life centered on Christ?
    7. Do I understand my authority in Christ without becoming spiritually arrogant?

    POWERFUL PRAYER POINTS

    1.
    Father, in the name of Jesus, deliver me from every influence of darkness and establish me firmly in Your truth.
    2.
    Lord Jesus, let every area of my life that has been under spiritual oppression experience Your freedom and peace.
    3.
    Every influence contrary to the will of God operating against my spiritual growth, be broken in Jesus' name.
    4.
    Father, give me spiritual discernment to distinguish between truth and deception, in Jesus' name.
    5.
    Lord, close every door that I have opened through disobedience, ignorance, compromise, or ungodly practices.
    6.
    I renounce every practice that dishonors Christ, and I surrender myself completely to Jesus.
    7.
    Father, fill my heart with Your Holy Spirit, Your Word, Your peace, and Your righteousness.
    8.
    I refuse to live in fear. I choose faith in Jesus Christ and confidence in the power of God's Word.
    9.
    Lord, protect my family and establish our home in Your presence and truth.
    10.
    Father, make my life a testimony of the victory, freedom, and transforming power of Jesus Christ.

    CALL TO ACTION

    Beloved, foul spirits are real, but Jesus is greater.
    Don't spend your life looking for demons behind every problem.
    Don't become obsessed with darkness.
    Don't live in fear.
    And don't play with spiritual things that God has forbidden.
    Instead, know Jesus.
    Know His Word.
    Walk in holiness.
    Pray.
    Exercise discernment.
    Stand in faith.
    And when the enemy attacks, remember who you belong to.
    You belong to Jesus Christ.
    The darkness may be real, but the Light is greater.
    The enemy may oppose you, but Christ has overcome.
    The battle may be intense, but your victory is found in Jesus.
    > “Greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” — 1 John 4:4
    So arise in faith.
    Stand in Christ.
    Guard your heart.
    Reject darkness.
    Walk in holiness.
    And let your life become a testimony that Jesus Christ still saves, delivers, restores, and sets captives free.
    JESUS IS LORD!

    HiTODAY'S KINGDOM INSIGHTS. WHAT ARE FOUL SPIRITS? Understanding Their Nature, Influence, and the Believer’s Victory. Main Text: Mark 1:23–27 Supporting Texts: Matthew 12:43–45; Luke 8:26–39; Ephesians 6:10–18; James 4:7 There are battles that the human eye cannot see. But here is the good news: The believer does not need to live in fear of foul spirits. Jesus Christ has authority over them. 1. WHAT ARE FOUL SPIRITS? The expression “foul spirit” is used in some Bible translations to describe what is also called an “unclean spirit.” Mark 1:23–24 > “And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit…” The spirit recognized Jesus and said, in effect, “I know who You are.” This teaches us something important: A. Foul spirits are spiritual beings They are not human beings, psychological conditions, or imaginary personalities. Scripture presents them as part of the spiritual opposition against God's purposes. B. They are called “unclean” The word speaks of something morally and spiritually polluted. Their purpose is contrary to the holiness of God. C. They oppose God's work Where God brings truth, they promote deception. Where God desires freedom, they seek bondage. Where God desires holiness, they encourage defilement. Where God desires peace, they seek confusion and destruction. But their activity does not mean they possess unlimited power. God remains sovereign. 2. FOUL SPIRITS SEEK TO DECEIVE, OPPRESS AND DESTROY Jesus warned about the activity of evil spirits. John 10:10 > “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy…” The devil's purpose is destructive. However, notice the second half: > “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” Jesus is greater than the enemy! Foul spirits may seek to influence: Thoughts Attitudes Temptations Destructive behavior Fear Deception Hatred Occult practices Spiritual bondage Opposition to God's truth But we must maintain biblical balance. • Good morning, brethren.
    1. Morning devotion for today.

    MD.i. MORNING TEA
    THE WORD FOR TODAY
    WEDNESDAY AUGUST 12, 2O26.
    "WORKING IN THE KINGDOM (3)"

    ‘The father [or mother] of a righteous man has great joy...’ Proverbs 23:24 NIV.

    THE HARDEST work is sometimes the most overlooked work. A husband came home from work one day and the house was an absolute mess. Clothes were strewn all over the floor, washing up filled the sink, the kids were crying, the beds were unmade, the bathroom smelled badly and the TV set was blaring. When he asked his wife what was going on, she replied, ‘You know how you ask me every night what I did all day? Well, today I didn’t do it.’ If you’re a stay-at-home mum or dad, God considers your work to be important. It’s more important to the future than just about any other profession—because you’re determining the quality of the next generation. Martin Luther said, ‘What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord.’ One day God will say, ‘Well done,’ to parents who cared for children—bathing them, feeding them, cleaning up after them—when they were tired and thought nobody was looking. Somebody is looking. Somebody is keeping track. It is worth it! You are the one who makes your work significant—not the other way round. When you discover the gifts God has given you and the passions He has placed within you, and put them to work in the service of values you deeply believe in—you are ‘working for God’ in the truest sense. So each day ask God to make your work go well. And try to identify the larger picture in your work that makes it a ‘calling.’

    *HEAVEN: THE PERMANENT RESIDENCE OF THE BELIEVERS*

    *TEXT:* JOHN 14:1-6.

    1Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
    2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
    3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
    4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
    5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?
    6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me

    *Timeless Truth:*_"But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city"_ (Hebrews 11:16).

    *INTRODUCTION*

    Jim Reeves, in one of his classics, composed an all time beautiful and inspired song about heaven. "I have heard of a land;
    On a faraway strand
    'Tis a beautiful home of the soul;
    Built by Jesus on high
    There we never shall die
    'Tis the land where we never grow old.
    When our work here is done;
    And the life crown is won;
    And our troubles and trials are o'er;
    All our sorrow will end
    And our voices will blend
    With the loved ones who've gone on before".
    The children of Israel ate manna in the wilderness and not one of them fell sick for 40 years and neither did their cloth fade according to the Scriptures. The food of heaven and the environment of heaven will be such that the inhabitants will never grow old, but remain young, healthy and fresh throughout eternity. Every attempt by any mortal to describe heaven is like a blind man describing the colour of a beautiful house. It is easier to think and plan for what you see than what you don't see no matter how real. Hence, there is need for constant reminder, refocusing and reconsecration to make heaven, less our vision of the invisible and eternal things give way to the vision of visible temporary things. *"For truly, if they (the heroes of faith) had been mindful of that country (the world) from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned"* (Hebrews 11:15).

    *1. The Admonition on Faith*

    a. Man is consciously or unconsciously a slave to what he believes whether true or false. The person who does good or evil believes that it will pay him. The person who serves God or does otherwise believes that is the best thing to do, all things being equal. The only person who could experientially and authoritatively speak about heaven is the person who lived there for an innumerable number of years and had visited the earth. Jesus Christ challenged the faith of His disciples to fully and truly believe, not only in the reality of heaven, but what heaven offers. The thought of Jesus Christ leaving them for heaven was disturbing and troublesome. However, the thought of heaven is comforting above all troubles on earth. *"Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me"*.
    b. Jesus Christ said He came from heaven. Moses claimed He saw God come from heaven on the mount of Sinai. At the mount of transfiguration, three apostles said they saw the glory of heaven on Jesus, Elijah and Moses. John the Apostle emphatically said *"I John saw heaven open"*. Revelation also said that as God alone created the universe without any assistance from the angels, God Himself created heaven. *"Whose Builder and the Maker is God"*. When there is faith in God and consequently in heaven, all earthly glory and sorrows fade into insignificance.

    *Question*

    Is heaven and its glory real to you? Are you focused on making it by all means?

    *2. The Assurance for the Faithful*

    There is a Revelation about heaven that no other prophet could give except an eye witness. There is an abundance of accommodation for all the saints of God. *"In my Father's house are many mansions"*. Jesus invoked His undeniable truthfulness and integrity to give us a solid assurance. *"If it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you"*. Jesus is saying that there is no need to deceive His disciples. Part of the present preoccupation of Christ is building a beautiful and eternally durable unimproveable mansion for each of God's people.
    The cosmos is roughly 7 x10 to power 23 times larger than our planet, rendering Earth an invisible speck in the vast cosmic ocean. This is different from the part of the cosmos that humans'
    lenses cannot observe so far. John said *"there was no more seas"*. So the space for building mansions is inexhaustible by all the saints that ever lived.
    b. Every saint should therefore, be assured that there is an unfading and most beautiful accommodation ever, designed and built by God awaiting him for eternal dwelling. Which one is more real to you? Dream or what you see in the physical. As what you see on earth is more real than what is dreamt, much more, the life of heaven is incomparably more real than what is experienced on the planet earth. Everything in heaven is perfect that no man on earth and creature in heaven would be able to improve on it.

    *Question*

    Are you excited about heaven?

    *3. The Advent of the Forerunner*

    a. Jesus came from heaven and He is the firstborn from among the dead. He is the first to die, buried, resurrected and gone to heaven with a resurrected body. He also promised to come back to the earth with His resurrected glorified body. *"And if I go and prepare a place for you"*. Did He truly go as promised? Since He fulfilled the promise to go to heaven He will no doubt fulfill other promises attached. *"I will come again"*. He did not say He "may come again". He was very
    definite and certain. When He comes again for the Church, represented by the disciples He was speaking to, what will He do? *"And receive you unto myself"*. He did not say he would come and take them, but rather come and receive them. This is Rapture being referred to in which Jesus in the sky will receive the saints to heaven as a host comes out of his chamber to receive His special guest or visitors to his house. (1 Thessalonians 4:14-17). *"That where I am, there ye may be also"*.

    *Question*

    Are you always watchful to make sure you are ever ready?

    *4. The Answer to the Forgetful*

    You will be surprised at the kind of question the once doubting Thomas was asking. *"Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?"*. He was there when Nicodemus was lectured by Christ on how to get to heaven. He was there when Jesus preached the longest sermon on the Mount as to the qualification for heaven. He was there when Jesus said *"No man has seen God at all times"*. Preachers should not assume that their followers fully understand the spiritual things they are teaching. Spiritual truth must be repeatedly read and taught over and over until it turns to conviction. Jesus is the only true way to heaven.

    *Question*

    What makes someone qualified for heaven?

    *Prayer Points*

    1.Lord, I praise You for the best alternative to this earth You have provided for me. Help me never to miss it .
    2.Refocus my desire and affection on heaven and heavenly things afresh and help me that it will be my primary pursuit and vision .
    3.Keep me from being deceived and distracted from heavenly things by the glamour of this world .

    *HEAVEN: PREPARED FOR THE PREPARED* 🫵🏽🏽‍🏽‍🏽🏽‍🏽🏽

    ```TEXT:JOHN 14:1-6```
    ```KEY VERSE:``` _*"In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you" (JOHN 14:2).*_

    *D. L. Moody, the famous evangelist, once said before his death, "Someday you will read in the papers that D. L. Moody of East Northfield is dead. Don't you believe a word of it! At that moment, I shall be more alive than I am now. I shall have gone up higher, that is all, out of this old clay tenement into a house that is immortal, a body that death cannot touch, that sin cannot taint; a body fashioned like unto His glorious body." Moody understood the truth that heaven is not a vague idea but a real, prepared place for those who belong to Christ. He had no fear of death because he knew that Jesus had already secured for him an eternal home.*

    *In today's text, Jesus gives the same assurance to His disciples: He has gone ahead to prepare a place for them, and He will return to take them there. He speaks words of comfort to His troubled disciples. He tells them not to be afraid because His Father's house is big enough to accommodate all those who are qualified, and that He is going to prepare the place for them. More than that, He promises to return and bring them to be with Him forever. When Thomas questions the way to this place, Jesus makes a life-changing declaration: "...I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me" (John 14:6).*

    *Heaven is not an accidental destination. It is a prepared place for prepared people. Jesus makes it clear that He is the only Way to this eternal home. Today, many believe that all roads lead to heaven, but Christ's words leave no room for confusion. Only those who accept Him and live for Him will enter the place He has prepared.*

    *This truth should give us confidence and peace as believers in Christ's return. Just as a traveller finds joy knowing a home awaits at the end of his journey, we too should endure life's trials knowing that heaven is real and waiting for us. However, this is also a call for readiness, as only those who are prepared in Christ will enter there. Heaven is not for the undecided or the uncommitted; it is for those who know and follow Christ. It is for those who have let go of the world, let in Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour and live for Him consistently.*

    *"Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase," submitted Martin Luther King Jr. A prayer of faith means a prayer you offer believing in His promises firmly, even when you have not seen the physical manifestation of the promise yet.*

    ```Key Verse:``` _*"And the LORD was angry with Solomon, because his heart was turned from the LORD God of Israel, which had appeared unto him twice" (1 Kings 11:9).*_
    It is not all things that glitters that is gold. God is loving, He has great plans for His children. However, no parent toils on a child who decides to disobey instructions. Solomon was a beloved child of God. He found favour with God because David his father obeyed God. Your Christian parents, pastors, teachers and elders are sent to correct you. Don't despise their correction.
    Though God is merciful, yet the salvation of your parents doesn't guarantee your protection from the wiles of the devil. Solomon allowed his great wisdom to control him. He forgot God and embraced popularity and riches. God was angry with him and punished him severely. God is not a respecter of persons. He punishes every sinner or backslider.
    *Avoid the danger ahead! Sin leads to heavy consequences. Such consequences could come in the form of sickness, failure in examination, oppression or death (physical and eternal). Return to God your Maker, He loves you. Don't allow your worldly wisdom, pride or riches of your parents to take you to hell. Let the blood of Jesus wash you now.*
    2. Morning Prayer for today.
    MP.i. Morning Prayer
    [It is of] the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. [They are] new every morning: great [is] thy faithfulness. ⏤ Lamentations 3:22-23
    The Christian life is one of gratitude. A heart that is constantly overflowing with thankfulness is a heart close to God. ⏤ A.W. Tozer
    O God, giver of all good and fountain of all mercy, we thank You for Your grace and the many ways You show Your care for us. Your faithfulness never fails. Your mercies are new every morning, fresh every moment, more than we can count. What can we give You in return for all Your goodness to us? We have nothing to offer but the poor love of our hearts, and we give that to You. Grant us more and more the spirit of praise and thanksgiving. Teach us to sing even when tears choke our songs. Give us songs in the night. Teach us how to rejoice, even in care and sorrow.
    We thank You for our home and all it means to us. You have filled our lives with countless blessings through the love that unites us as a family. Our home is a little bit of Your love poured into our hearts. We thank You for the shelter our home provides and for the gentle affections that bind us together. May our home grow sweeter as the days pass. Make our home life more loving, patient, and kind. May our love be less selfish and more like the love of Jesus.
    We ask for special blessings for this day. We will face dangers we are unaware of; protect us from them. We are vulnerable to accidents wherever we go; defend us from them. Grant us the grace to walk through the moral challenges around us without being harmed by them. Give Your angels charge over us to keep us in all Your ways. Lead us wherever we go so that we may not stumble. Make us strong for holy service. Let Your protection be over us all day, and give us strength for every duty. We ask all this in Jesus' precious name. Amen.
    Good morning, brethren. 1. Morning devotion for today. MD.i. 😀🌹🎀🎁💝🌺MORNING TEA THE WORD FOR TODAY WEDNESDAY AUGUST 12, 2O26. "WORKING IN THE KINGDOM (3)" ‘The father [or mother] of a righteous man has great joy...’ Proverbs 23:24 NIV. THE HARDEST work is sometimes the most overlooked work. A husband came home from work one day and the house was an absolute mess. Clothes were strewn all over the floor, washing up filled the sink, the kids were crying, the beds were unmade, the bathroom smelled badly and the TV set was blaring. When he asked his wife what was going on, she replied, ‘You know how you ask me every night what I did all day? Well, today I didn’t do it.’ If you’re a stay-at-home mum or dad, God considers your work to be important. It’s more important to the future than just about any other profession—because you’re determining the quality of the next generation. Martin Luther said, ‘What you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord.’ One day God will say, ‘Well done,’ to parents who cared for children—bathing them, feeding them, cleaning up after them—when they were tired and thought nobody was looking. Somebody is looking. Somebody is keeping track. It is worth it! You are the one who makes your work significant—not the other way round. When you discover the gifts God has given you and the passions He has placed within you, and put them to work in the service of values you deeply believe in—you are ‘working for God’ in the truest sense. So each day ask God to make your work go well. And try to identify the larger picture in your work that makes it a ‘calling.’ Bible In A Year: Judg 7:1 – 9:33, Matt 16:13-28, Ps 119:65-72, Pro 17:23-26. [11/08, 9:24 pm] Pastor Attah: *MEDITATIONS ON DAILY ⓂANNA* WEDNESDAY, 12TH AUGUST, 2026. *HEAVEN: THE PERMANENT RESIDENCE OF THE BELIEVERS* *TEXT:* JOHN 14:1-6. 1Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. 4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. 5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me *Timeless Truth:*_"But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city"_ (Hebrews 11:16). *INTRODUCTION* Jim Reeves, in one of his classics, composed an all time beautiful and inspired song about heaven. "I have heard of a land; On a faraway strand 'Tis a beautiful home of the soul; Built by Jesus on high There we never shall die 'Tis the land where we never grow old. When our work here is done; And the life crown is won; And our troubles and trials are o'er; All our sorrow will end And our voices will blend With the loved ones who've gone on before". The children of Israel ate manna in the wilderness and not one of them fell sick for 40 years and neither did their cloth fade according to the Scriptures. The food of heaven and the environment of heaven will be such that the inhabitants will never grow old, but remain young, healthy and fresh throughout eternity. Every attempt by any mortal to describe heaven is like a blind man describing the colour of a beautiful house. It is easier to think and plan for what you see than what you don't see no matter how real. Hence, there is need for constant reminder, refocusing and reconsecration to make heaven, less our vision of the invisible and eternal things give way to the vision of visible temporary things. *"For truly, if they (the heroes of faith) had been mindful of that country (the world) from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned"* (Hebrews 11:15). *1. The Admonition on Faith* a. Man is consciously or unconsciously a slave to what he believes whether true or false. The person who does good or evil believes that it will pay him. The person who serves God or does otherwise believes that is the best thing to do, all things being equal. The only person who could experientially and authoritatively speak about heaven is the person who lived there for an innumerable number of years and had visited the earth. Jesus Christ challenged the faith of His disciples to fully and truly believe, not only in the reality of heaven, but what heaven offers. The thought of Jesus Christ leaving them for heaven was disturbing and troublesome. However, the thought of heaven is comforting above all troubles on earth. *"Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me"*. b. Jesus Christ said He came from heaven. Moses claimed He saw God come from heaven on the mount of Sinai. At the mount of transfiguration, three apostles said they saw the glory of heaven on Jesus, Elijah and Moses. John the Apostle emphatically said *"I John saw heaven open"*. Revelation also said that as God alone created the universe without any assistance from the angels, God Himself created heaven. *"Whose Builder and the Maker is God"*. When there is faith in God and consequently in heaven, all earthly glory and sorrows fade into insignificance. *Question* Is heaven and its glory real to you? Are you focused on making it by all means? *2. The Assurance for the Faithful* There is a Revelation about heaven that no other prophet could give except an eye witness. There is an abundance of accommodation for all the saints of God. *"In my Father's house are many mansions"*. Jesus invoked His undeniable truthfulness and integrity to give us a solid assurance. *"If it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you"*. Jesus is saying that there is no need to deceive His disciples. Part of the present preoccupation of Christ is building a beautiful and eternally durable unimproveable mansion for each of God's people. The cosmos is roughly 7 x10 to power 23 times larger than our planet, rendering Earth an invisible speck in the vast cosmic ocean. This is different from the part of the cosmos that humans' lenses cannot observe so far. John said *"there was no more seas"*. So the space for building mansions is inexhaustible by all the saints that ever lived. b. Every saint should therefore, be assured that there is an unfading and most beautiful accommodation ever, designed and built by God awaiting him for eternal dwelling. Which one is more real to you? Dream or what you see in the physical. As what you see on earth is more real than what is dreamt, much more, the life of heaven is incomparably more real than what is experienced on the planet earth. Everything in heaven is perfect that no man on earth and creature in heaven would be able to improve on it. *Question* Are you excited about heaven? *3. The Advent of the Forerunner* a. Jesus came from heaven and He is the firstborn from among the dead. He is the first to die, buried, resurrected and gone to heaven with a resurrected body. He also promised to come back to the earth with His resurrected glorified body. *"And if I go and prepare a place for you"*. Did He truly go as promised? Since He fulfilled the promise to go to heaven He will no doubt fulfill other promises attached. *"I will come again"*. He did not say He "may come again". He was very definite and certain. When He comes again for the Church, represented by the disciples He was speaking to, what will He do? *"And receive you unto myself"*. He did not say he would come and take them, but rather come and receive them. This is Rapture being referred to in which Jesus in the sky will receive the saints to heaven as a host comes out of his chamber to receive His special guest or visitors to his house. (1 Thessalonians 4:14-17). *"That where I am, there ye may be also"*. *Question* Are you always watchful to make sure you are ever ready? *4. The Answer to the Forgetful* You will be surprised at the kind of question the once doubting Thomas was asking. *"Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?"*. He was there when Nicodemus was lectured by Christ on how to get to heaven. He was there when Jesus preached the longest sermon on the Mount as to the qualification for heaven. He was there when Jesus said *"No man has seen God at all times"*. Preachers should not assume that their followers fully understand the spiritual things they are teaching. Spiritual truth must be repeatedly read and taught over and over until it turns to conviction. Jesus is the only true way to heaven. *Question* What makes someone qualified for heaven? *Prayer Points* 1.Lord, I praise You for the best alternative to this earth You have provided for me. Help me never to miss it 🙏. 2.Refocus my desire and affection on heaven and heavenly things afresh and help me that it will be my primary pursuit and vision 🙏. 3.Keep me from being deceived and distracted from heavenly things by the glamour of this world 🙏. 4.Search out Your people and remove all things in our lives that will make entering heaven impossible 🙏. *HYMN:* Where We Never Get Old. *BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:* JOB 13-15.     GROWING IN CHRIST
    By His death on the cross Jesus triumphed over the forces of evil. He who subjugated the demonic spirits during His earthly ministry has broken their power and made certain their ultimate doom. Jesus’ victory gives us victory over the evil forces that still seek to control us, as we walk with Him in peace, joy, and assurance of His love. Now the Holy Spirit dwells within us and empowers us. Continually committed to Jesus as our Saviour and Lord, we are set free from the burden of our past deeds. No longer do we live in the darkness, fear of evil powers, ignorance, and meaninglessness of our former way of life. In this new freedom in Jesus, we are called to grow into the likeness of His character, communing with Him daily in prayer, feeding on His Word, meditating on it and on His providence, singing His praises, gathering together for worship, and participating in the mission of the Church. We are also called to follow Christ’s example by compassionately ministering to the physical, mental, social, emotional, and spiritual needs of humanity. As we give ourselves in loving service to those around us and in witnessing to His salvation, His constant presence with us through the Spirit transforms every moment and every task into a spiritual experience.
We are also called to follow Christ’s example by compassionately ministering to the physical, mental, social, emotional, and spiritual needs of humanity. As we give ourselves in loving service to those around us and in witnessing to His salvation, His constant presence with us through the Spirit transforms every moment and every task into a spiritual experience.
