August 22 🌿 “WHO GOD IS TO ME” MY STRENGTH 📖 Psalm 73:26 (LLV) — “My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” There are limits to our strength. We may not notice them when life is easy. We make plans. Carry responsibilities. Solve problems. Keep moving. And sometimes we begin to believe we are stronger than we really are. Then life reminds us. “My flesh and my heart may fail.” Asaph does not pretend otherwise. Bodies grow weary. Emotions become exhausted. Courage sometimes falters. There are moments when even the strongest person must finally admit, “I cannot do this on my own.” But Asaph does not stop with what can fail. He turns immediately to the One who cannot. “But God…” Two small words change everything. My strength may fail. But God. My confidence may weaken. But God. I may reach the end of what I can carry. But God. He is “the strength of my heart.” God does not merely give strength from somewhere far away. Asaph says God Himself is his strength. There is a freedom in realizing that we do not have to be strong enough for everything. We were never asked to be. There are burdens too heavy for us. Questions too large for us. Journeys too difficult for us to walk in our own strength. And perhaps sometimes we must reach the end of our strength before we discover how faithfully God has been holding us. Then Asaph adds something beautiful: “And my portion forever.” A person's portion was what belonged to him. His inheritance. His possession. The thing upon which his future rested. Asaph looks at everything that can disappear and says, in effect, “Even if everything else is taken away, I still have God.” And if I have Him, I have what matters most. Our bodies will not remain strong forever. Circumstances will change. Things we depend upon today may someday be gone. But God does not diminish with time. When our strength is small, His is not. When our hands can no longer hold everything, we discover that He has been holding us all along. A new beginning sometimes starts with three honest words—“I am weak”—followed by two far greater ones: “But God.” Reflection: Where am I exhausting myself trying to be strong enough, instead of allowing God to be the strength of my heart? Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You that I do not have to face every burden in my own strength. When my body grows tired, my courage weakens, or my heart feels overwhelmed, remind me that You remain. Teach me to depend upon Your strength instead of pretending I have enough of my own. Whatever changes around me, let me always know that You are my strength and my portion forever. He shall defend me, sustain me, guide me, and establish me according to His perfect purpose. Today, I declare that my life shall become a testimony of God's redeeming power. What seemed like the end shall become a new beginning, and what appeared hopeless shall reveal God's faithfulness. My Redeemer lives! My hope lives! My faith lives! My future is in God's hands! Therefore, I will not give up hope.” 4️⃣ Surrender your past: Give your failures, disappointments, regrets, and painful experiences to God and trust Him to redeem your story. 5️⃣ Strengthen someone's faith: Encourage someone who is passing through a difficult season with the message: “Your Redeemer lives.” 6️⃣ Refuse hopelessness: Whenever negative thoughts arise today, consciously remind yourself of God's faithfulness. 7️⃣ End the day with thanksgiving: Thank God for His redemption, preservation, mercy, and the hope you have in Him. 🔥*Prayer:* Heavenly Father, I thank You because You are my living Redeemer. 🕊️ DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 234 DATE: 22ND AUGUST 2026 TOPIC: RELY ON THE LORD_2 ANCHOR SCRIPTURE:2 Chronicles 13:18 (NKJV) “Thus the children of Israel were subdued at that time; and the children of Judah prevailed, because they relied on the LORD God of their fathers.” Devotional message: Yesterday, we saw the importance of relying completely upon God if we desire to live a victorious life. Today, we go deeper into what it means to depend upon Him: God desires our complete surrender, not divided dependence. One reason many believers do not experience the manifestation of God's power in their lives is that they call upon God while still holding tightly to other options. They present their situation to God, but in their hearts they have already established alternative sources of help. They say, “Lord, help me,” while simultaneously trusting in their own strength, connections, resources, strategies, or human solutions as their ultimate security. But God desires to be our first and ultimate source. This does not mean that we should abandon wisdom, planning, diligence, professional help, or the legitimate means God provides. Rather, it means that none of these things should take the place of God in our hearts. We may use resources, but our confidence must remain in the Lord who provides them. Consider Jehoshaphat. When Judah was surrounded by a great multitude, he confessed their helplessness before God:2 Chronicles 20:12 (NKJV)“We have no power against this great multitude that is coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are upon You.” That is complete dependence.They did not merely acknowledge God as one of their options. They turned their eyes to Him. We see a similar confidence in Abijah when Judah faced Jeroboam's army. Although Judah was greatly outnumbered, Abijah declared that they had made the Lord their God and trusted Him.And God gave them victory. Child of God, there is a difference between asking God to help you and surrendering yourself completely to God. When God becomes your only source of confidence, you stop being controlled by fear because your security is no longer dependent upon circumstances.People can fail you.Money can run out.Connections can disappear.Systems can collapse.Human strength can become exhausted.But God cannot fail. The Psalmist declares:Psalm 20:7 (NKJV) “Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; But we will remember the name of the LORD our God.” Your “chariots and horses” may be your education, business, salary, influence, relationships, experience, or possessions. These things have their place, but none of them should occupy the throne that belongs to God. James warns that a person who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind and says that such a person is “a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways” (James 1:6–8). A divided heart produces an unstable life.Therefore, child of God, examine your heart today:Is God truly your source, or merely one of your options? Have you surrendered that situation completely to Him, or are you still holding onto your backup plan because you do not fully trust Him? Surrender your life, plans, future, family, ministry, business, finances, and every concern into His hands. 22-08-2026 The Power of Your Words Proverbs 18:21 (AMP): “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it and indulge it will eat its fruit and bear the consequences of their words.” Our words carry more power than we often realize. A single sentence can encourage someone who feels broken, or it can wound a heart that was already hurting. Our words can speak life into a situation—or they can speak fear, defeat, and negativity. God reminds us that what comes out of our mouths produces fruit. This means we should not speak carelessly. When we constantly say, “I can’t,” “Nothing will ever change,” or “I’m not good enough,” we can begin to live according to those declarations. But when we choose words that agree with God’s truth, our perspective begins to change. This doesn't mean pretending that everything is perfect. It means that even in difficult circumstances, we choose to say, “God is with me. He is faithful. He will guide me. I may be facing a storm, but the storm does not have the final word.” Before you speak today, ask yourself: “What kind of fruit will these words produce?” Let your words be instruments of healing, encouragement, faith, and love. Speak life over your family. Speak life over your future. Speak God's promises over your circumstances. And when you make a mistake, remember that you can always choose your next words differently. 🙏 Prayer Father, help me to understand the power You have placed in my words. Teach me to speak with wisdom, grace, love, and faith. Guard my tongue when I am angry, hurt, or frustrated. Help me not to speak words of fear or defeat, but to declare Your truth over my life and the lives of those around me. May the words of my mouth bring encouragement, healing, and life. Heavenly Father, Thank You for the gift of this beautiful Sabbath morning. Thank You for life, for Your mercy, for Your protection, and for bringing us safely into a new day. Lord Jesus, help us to slow down today and remember that You are our Creator, our Provider, and our source of strength. Fill our hearts with peace and our homes with Your presence. Forgive us for the things we have done wrong, the words we have spoken carelessly, and the opportunities we have missed to do what is right. Give us a clean heart and renew a right spirit within us. Hello, I would like to share with you the message from 22 août 2026 from “The Good Seed” daily calendar. When I thought how to understand this, it was too painful for me – until I went into the sanctuary of God. (Psalm 73:16-17) In the presence of God Asaph, the poet of Psalm 73, struggled with a question: Why did wicked people live successfully and seemingly happily, while he himself struggled with many problems on the path of faith? He pondered intensely over it but found no answer.  This puzzle was only solved when Asaph went to God and considered the problem in His presence. There, he saw everything in the light of eternity. He realised that a person’s end determines everything. An unbeliever may have a good life on earth, but the judgment awaiting him will be terrible. A believer may have to endure much hardship now, but in the future he will be eternally happy with God.  In the sanctuary of God, Asaph also realised that he didn’t have to cope with his problems alone. He prayed to the Lᴏʀᴅ: “Nevertheless I am continually with You; You hold me by my right hand. You will guide me with Your counsel, and afterward receive me to glory” (Psalm 73:23-24). God upheld Asaph in his trials and led him through to the end with His wise counsel. How this divine care must have comforted Asaph!  What Asaph experienced is recorded in the Bible for our encouragement. When we are troubled in faith, it is best to go to God.
