    IGNITE YOUTH DEVOTIONAL

Topic: Do Not Ignore the Small Compromise

    Bible Reference
“He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much.” Luke 16:10 (NKJV)

    A Short Story
Blessing had always seen herself as a good Christian. She attended church, joined the youth meetings, prayed regularly, and tried to live according to God's Word.

One afternoon, she noticed that she had been given too much change at a shop. The difference was not much. She looked at the money in her hand and thought, “It is only a small amount.”She could easily have kept it. Nobody would know.

She walked a few steps away from the shop, but something inside her made her stop. She remembered that she had been praying for God to trust her with greater responsibilities.

She turned around and returned the money. The following week, something similar happened. This time, it was not money. A friend asked her to lie about where they had been so that their parents would not find out.

Again, it seemed like a small matter. Blessing remembered the change she had returned the previous week. She realized that integrity was not something she could practise only when the matter was serious. She refused to lie.

As she walked home that evening, she understood something she had never considered deeply before. The small decisions she made every day were preparing her for the bigger decisions that would come later.

    Today's Message
Many people want God to trust them with great things, but they ignore the small things.

Jesus said that the person who is faithful in little will also be faithful in much. This means that your character is being developed through ordinary decisions.

A small lie may seem harmless. A little dishonesty may seem insignificant. A secret compromise may appear too small to matter.

But compromise has a way of growing.

The enemy does not always begin by asking you to do something obviously wrong. Sometimes, he starts with something that looks too small to deserve your attention.

Do not measure the seriousness of a decision only by how big it looks. Ask whether it agrees with God's Word.

Your private decisions are shaping your public character.

If you want God to trust you with greater responsibility, learn to honour Him in the little things first.

    What To Do Today
    1. Pay attention to the small decisions you normally overlook.

    2. Refuse to justify dishonesty because the matter seems insignificant.

    3. Keep your word, even when nobody will punish you for breaking it.

    4. Remember that character is built through repeated choices.

    Prayer
Lord, help me to be faithful in little things. Give me the strength to reject every compromise, no matter how small it appears. Build integrity into my character and prepare me for everything You have planned for me. In Jesus' name, Amen.

    Daily Challenge
Today, choose honesty in one small situation where it would be easier to compromise. Let your decision be an act of worship to God.

  • So, you're looking for a side hustle to join and try to create some extra, part-time income for yourself and your family. What are the main areas you should evaluate any potential company to join?

Evaluate any network marketing company by asking key questions about its product, cost, compensation plan, and history. These factors help you see if the business is safe, legal, and truly profitable before you invest your time and money.

    Product and Market

Is there a real product? The company must sell a real item to real customers outside the company. LiveGood currently has over 50 of the highest quality, lowest priced vitamins & supplements in the world.

Is the price fair? The product must be good enough that people would buy it even without the business opportunity. LiveGood has priced each of their products at the lowest price found anywhere in the world. They are priced at wholesale price...just a few dollars over cost.

Is the market too full? Check if too many people already sell this item near you. The health & wellness industry is growing at a significant rate with total market value expected to exceed $130M by 2030.

    Costs and Setup

What are the start-up costs? Look at the price for kits, samples, and training tools. To become a LiveGood affiliate and earn commissions, there is only a $40 (once for life) fee and you must remain a member of their wholesale club for just $9.95 per month.

Are there monthly buys? Many groups make you buy a set amount of product each month to stay active. LiveGood has NO monthly AUTOSHIP or monthly product purchase requirement to be qualified to earn commissions.

Can you return unsold stock? A good company lets you return unused items for a refund if you quit. Since there are no product purchase requirements or entry stock requirement this is not an issue. That being said, LiveGood offers a full 90-day, empty bottle, refund on all their products.

    Money and Rules

How do you get paid? Earnings should come from selling products, not just from signing up new members. Since LiveGood is NOT a product selling company is the normal since of the word but a membership club and commissions are paid on enlisting others to become club members (just like Amazon, Costco, SAM's Club, Planet Fitness, Netflix, etc), this also is a non-issue.

Are the rules clear? The company must show a clear income disclosure statement that tells you how much typical sellers actually make. LiveGood does provide a clear, transparent compensation plan document as well as typical earnings potential of affiliates. There is NO hype or unrealistic money statements.

Who leads the company? Look for experienced leaders with a strong and honest track record. This is the beauty of LiveGood. There only four corporate directors with this company...and, none of them draw a salary from the company. Additionally, the CEO and Director of Marketing have decades of successful business creation and operations in the industry. In fact, the CEO, Ben Glinsky, had left the industry because of the failures and deceptive practices of too many of the companies. Because of his friendship with Nauder Khazan, who has over 40 years in the industry, he was encouraged to create something that would revolutionize the industry.

  • What Does It Mean To Be Saved?

To be saved means to be rescued by God from the penalty, power, and ultimately the presence of sin, and brought into a right relationship with Himself through Jesus Christ alone.

The Problem: Why You Need to Be Saved

All humans are born under the curse of Adam's sin. Because God is holy and just, sin separates you from Him and places you under His righteous judgment (Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23). You cannot save yourself by being good enough, religious enough, or sincere enough. Your best works are like filthy rags before a perfectly holy God (Isaiah 64:6).

    What Salvation Is

Salvation is God's act of rescuing sinners through the finished work of Jesus Christ. It involves several realities that happen together:

Regeneration (New Birth): The Holy Spirit gives you new spiritual life. You are born again. Apart from this, you are dead in your trespasses and unable to seek God on your own (Ephesians 2:1-5, John 3:3-8).

Faith and Repentance: You respond to the gospel by turning from sin (repentance) and trusting in Christ alone (faith). These are two sides of the same movement—turning from sin and to the Savior (Acts 20:21, Romans 10:9-10).

Justification: God declares you righteous, not because of anything in you, but because Christ's perfect righteousness is credited to your account and His punishment for your sin is credited to Christ. You stand before God as if you had never sinned, clothed in Christ's righteousness (Romans 3:24-26, 2 Corinthians 5:21).

Adoption: You are brought into God's family as a beloved child. You are no longer an enemy but an heir (Galatians 4:4-7, Romans 8:15-17).

Sanctification: The Holy Spirit begins the lifelong work of making you actually holy in your daily life, conforming you to the image of Christ (Philippians 2:12-13, Romans 8:29).

Glorification: At Christ's return, you will receive a resurrected body, free from all sin, suffering, and death. This is the final completion of salvation (Romans 8:30, 1 Corinthians 15:52-54).

    How You Are Saved

By grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, according to Scripture alone, for the glory of God alone. There is no other name under heaven by which you can be saved (Acts 4:12). Salvation is entirely God's work from start to finish. You contribute nothing to your rescue except the sin that made it necessary.

What Salvation Looks Like in a Person's Life

A truly saved person will bear fruit. This does not mean perfection, but it does mean a changed life—a growing hatred of sin, a growing love for God and His people, and a persistent faith that endures to the end (James 2:17, 1 John 2:3-6, Matthew 7:16-20). If there is no change at all, there is reason to question whether salvation has actually taken place.

    The Bottom Line

To be saved is to be brought from death to life, from condemnation to justification, from slavery to sin to adoption as a child of God, and from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of Christ. It is entirely a work of God's grace, received by faith, and it results in a life that increasingly reflects the supremacy of Christ.

If you are asking this for yourself: repent of your sin, trust in Christ's death and resurrection alone, and you will be saved.

    Good morning,
We have spent this week talking about choosing love.
    Choosing your spouse.
    Choosing trust.
    Choosing appreciation.
    Choosing friendship.
    Choosing romance.
    Choosing forgiveness.
    These are not merely feelings.
    They are decisions.
There will be days when love feels effortless.
There will also be days when love requires discipline.
On those days, remember your covenant.
    Remember God's grace.
    Remember why you began.
And remember that Christ calls us to love—not only when it is convenient, but as a reflection of His own love for us.

  • Building Blocks To Growing In Jesus…

SENSITIVITY AND SUBMISSION TO GOD’s WORD

Proverbs 3:1-2 — "My son, don't forget my instruction. Let your heart guard my commands, because they will help you live a long time and provide you with well-being."

Psalm 119:105 — "Your word is a lamp before my feet and a light for my journey."

Walking the path of faith requires a steady anchor and a discerning heart. In a world full of shifting opinions, loud voices, and subtle spiritual errors, God has not left us to guess. He has given us His living, active Word as a reliable standard to guide our steps, protect our minds, and draw us closer to Him.

True spiritual sensitivity begins when we approach the Scriptures with a humble and teachable spirit. Instead of forcing our own desires onto the text, we allow the Bible to search our hearts, correct our motives, and shape our character unfolding a life of genuine obedience and daily renewal. This kind of submission is not a burden; it is an act of deep trust in a loving Father who knows what is best for us.

When we hide God's truth in our hearts, we build a natural defense against deception arming our minds with discernment and anchoring our souls against the shifting tides of the world. We learn to spot the counterfeits—messages that flatter human pride, promise cheap grace, or distort the character of Jesus Christ. Grounded in Scripture, we can test every teaching against the unchanging truth of the Gospel.

Ultimately, submitting to God's Word transforms how we live each day. It moves us from merely hearing spiritual truths to actively putting them into practice through love, obedience, and service. As we let His word be a lamp to our feet, we walk with confidence, knowing we are anchored in the truth that never fails.

The key to having true sensitivity to God’s Word involves our having true discernment working in our lives on a daily basis:

True discernment always uses the Bible as the final authority. It is not based on gut feelings, cultural trends, or personal intuition.
How it works: Just as a bank teller is trained to spot counterfeit bills by studying real currency exhaustively, a believer sharpens discernment by deeply knowing the absolute truth of God's Word.

Discernment is not merely an intellectual skill; it is a spiritual fruit made possible by a close walk with God.
How it works: The Holy Spirit actively lives inside every believer to act as an internal compass, giving a sense of spiritual alignment or warning when something contradicts God's character.

Truth always produces godliness, humility, love, and a high view of Jesus Christ. Error eventually produces pride, division, exploitation, or unrepentant sin.
How it works: When evaluating a teaching, movement, or leader, look past the initial presentation or emotional appeal to examine the long-term character and spiritual fruit it leaves behind.

CLOSING PRAYER: Heavenly Father, grant me a discerning heart anchored deeply in Your unchanging Word. Protect my mind from deception, and let Your Holy Spirit guide my every step. Help me to test all things with your wisdom Lord, walk in humble obedience, and reflect the love of Jesus Christ in a world so easily lost in the dark. Amen.

Building Blocks To Growing In Jesus… SENSITIVITY AND SUBMISSION TO GOD’s WORD Proverbs 3:1-2 — "My son, don't forget my instruction. Let your heart guard my commands, because they will help you live a long time and provide you with well-being." Psalm 119:105 — "Your word is a lamp before my feet and a light for my journey." Walking the path of faith requires a steady anchor and a discerning heart. The key to having true sensitivity to God’s Word involves our having true discernment working in our lives on a daily basis: True discernment always uses the Bible as the final authority. Worship the One True God

Acts 19 records the growing impact of the gospel in Ephesus. As many people believed in Jesus Christ, they turned away from idol worship. This change threatened those whose livelihood depended on making idols, leading to strong opposition against Paul and the message he preached.

Paul faithfully declared that man-made idols could never replace the living God. His message called people to abandon false objects of worship and place their faith in the Creator rather than created things. The gospel challenged not only beliefs but also the priorities and lifestyles of those who heard it.

For believers today, idols may not always be carved images, but anything that takes God's rightful place in our hearts can become an idol. Success, possessions, relationships, or personal ambitions can easily compete for our devotion. God alone deserves our highest worship, trust, and obedience.

    Reflection Questions

    1. Is there anything competing with God for first place in my heart?

    2. What changes is God calling me to make in my worship and priorities?

    3. How can I demonstrate wholehearted devotion to Christ each day?

    Prayer

Lord God, You alone are worthy of all worship and praise. Search my heart and reveal anything that has taken Your rightful place. Help me to love You above all else and to live each day in faithful devotion to You. In Jesus name Amen.

    Practical Application

    ● Examine your priorities and place God first in every area.

    ● Remove anything that distracts you from wholehearted devotion to Christ.

    ● Worship God daily with gratitude, obedience, and trust.

    Takeaway Thought

True joy is found when God alone has first place in our hearts.
