  • DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 230
    DATE: 18TH AUGUST 2026
    TOPIC: EMBRACING UNIQUENESS BRINGS ORDER
    ANCHOR SCRIPTURE: 1 CORINTHIANS 14:26, 33 (NLT)
    Well, my brothers and sisters, let’s summarize. When you meet together, one will sing, another will teach, another will tell some special revelation God has given, one will speak in tongues, and another will interpret what is said. But everything that is done must strengthen all of you.33-β€œFor God is not a God of disorder but of peace, as in all the meetings of God’s holy people.”
    Devotional message

    Yesterday, we saw the importance of embracing the uniqueness God has placed in each of us. Today, we discover that when we embrace our uniqueness and honour the contribution of others, we create room for divine order in the house of God.

    The Apostle Paul gives us a beautiful picture of how the body of Christ should function. One may lead in praise and worship, while others support with sincerity and purity of heart. Another may teach while others listen, learn, and take notes. Another may bring a prophetic revelation, while others listen carefully and examine it according to the Word of God. Others may serve through playing instruments, administration, hospitality, prayer, or other gifts.

    None of these functions should compete with another because every gift has a place in God's purpose.

    Competition creates confusion because people begin trying to occupy positions God never assigned to them. However, when we recognize that our different gifts complement one another, we begin to experience the beauty of God's design.

    The worshipper should not compete with the preacher. The preacher should not compete with the instrumentalist. The prophet should not compete with the teacher. The person serving behind the scenes should not feel inferior to the person standing before the congregation. Every genuine contribution matters when it is offered to God.

    Paul says, β€œBut everything that is done must strengthen all of you.” This means our gifts are not primarily given for personal recognition; they are given for the edification of the body of Christ.

    When we honour one another's uniqueness, peace replaces competition, order replaces confusion, and cooperation replaces division. This creates an atmosphere where the Holy Spirit can work freely and the Church can fulfil her assignment effectively.

    God is not the author of confusion but of peace. Therefore, wherever there is constant competition, jealousy, disorder, and the desire to outshine others, we must examine our hearts and return to God's pattern.

    Child of God, you do not have to become another person to become valuable. Be faithful with what God has entrusted to you. Honour the grace upon others while developing the grace upon your own life.

    The body of Christ becomes stronger when every member functions according to the grace God has given them.

    Prayer

    Heavenly Father, thank You for the unique grace, gifts, talents, and abilities You have placed within each of us.Teach us to honour the gifts of others and faithfully steward what You have entrusted to us. Let Your order, peace, unity, and holiness prevail in Your Church, and may everything we do strengthen the body of Christ and bring glory to Your name. In Jesus' name, Amen.

  • "You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows."

    This verse is a beautiful picture of God's blessing, favor, protection, and abundance. In biblical times, anointing someone's head with oil was a sign of honor, refreshment, and hospitality. David uses this imagery to show how God cares for and blesses His people even in difficult circumstances.

  • Today's Readings are from the Book of 2 Kings 3–4 | 2 Corinthians 10

    Overviews Are Below (PLEASE READ YOUR BIBLE: Overviews Do Not Replace Daily Reading)

    2 Kings 3

    Victory Through Dependence on God

    2 Kings 3 records an alliance between the kings of Israel, Judah, and Edom as they set out to suppress the rebellion of Moab. Although their military strategy appears sound, they soon find themselves in serious trouble. After days of travel, they run out of water, leaving both the armies and their animals in danger. Their greatest problem is not the enemy before them but their inability to continue without God's provision.

    The crisis exposes the difference between the kings. Jehoram reacts with discouragement and assumes disaster is inevitable. Jehoshaphat, however, immediately asks whether there is a prophet of the Lord through whom they can seek God's direction. The chapter reminds us that believers should seek God's wisdom before relying on human solutions, not only after those solutions fail.

    Elisha is brought before the kings. Although he has no respect for Jehoram's idolatry, he ministers because of Jehoshaphat's faithfulness. God graciously chooses to intervene, not because the alliance deserves His help, but because He remains faithful to His own purposes.

    The Lord instructs them to dig ditches throughout the valley, promising that He will provide water without wind or rain. The command requires faith. The people must prepare for God's blessing before they can see it. As they obey, God miraculously fills the valley with water, providing life for His people while simultaneously confusing the Moabites and giving Israel victory.

    The chapter demonstrates that God's provision often arrives in unexpected ways. The Lord is not limited by natural circumstances. He supplies what His people need according to His wisdom and timing. At the same time, the tragic conclusion involving the king of Moab reminds us of the devastating consequences of pagan worship and rebellion against God.

    Theologically, 2 Kings 3 reveals God's sovereignty over both nature and nations. It teaches that victory depends upon seeking the Lord rather than trusting human wisdom alone. The chapter also emphasizes that obedience often precedes visible blessing. God's people are called to trust His Word before they fully understand His methods.

    This chapter points to Christ, who provides living water for all who come to Him. Just as God supplied water in a dry wilderness, Jesus satisfies the deepest spiritual thirst of humanity. Through Him, believers receive life, strength, and victory that cannot be found through human effort alone.

    For believers today, 2 Kings 3 reminds us to seek God's guidance before relying on our own plans. When resources are exhausted and circumstances appear impossible, the Lord remains fully able to provide. In Christ, we are called to obey God's Word faithfully, trusting that He will supply every need according to His perfect wisdom and abundant grace.

    2 Kings 4

    The Compassionate Power of God

    2 Kings 4 presents a series of miracles through Elisha that reveal God's compassion for ordinary people facing extraordinary needs. Rather than focusing on kings and nations, the chapter highlights widows, families, children, and communities. It demonstrates that God's power is not reserved only for dramatic national events but is also active in the personal struggles of His people.

    The chapter begins with a widow burdened by debt and the threat of losing her sons. Through Elisha, God miraculously multiplies her small supply of oil until every available container is filled. The miracle teaches that God often begins with what His people already possess, multiplying humble resources to meet overwhelming needs. His provision is abundant, yet it also requires obedience and faith.

    The narrative then turns to the Shunammite woman, whose generous hospitality toward God's servant is met with an unexpected blessing. God grants her a son, yet years later the child suddenly dies. Instead of surrendering to despair, she seeks the Lord through Elisha with determined faith. God restores the child's life, demonstrating His authority over death and His faithfulness to those who trust Him.

    The remaining miracles continue revealing God's compassionate care. Poisonous food is made safe, and a small amount of bread is multiplied to feed many people. Each miracle points beyond Elisha himself to the Lord, who delights in meeting both physical and spiritual needs.

    Throughout the chapter, a consistent pattern emerges. God responds to faith, honors generosity, and provides for those who depend upon Him. His miracles are not displays of power for their own sake but expressions of His loving care for His covenant people.

    Theologically, 2 Kings 4 reveals God's compassionate character. He is concerned with the needs of widows, grieving parents, hungry communities, and faithful servants. The chapter also demonstrates that God's resources are never limited. He is able to provide, restore, heal, and sustain according to His perfect will.

    This chapter points beautifully to Christ. Jesus likewise multiplied food for the hungry, raised the dead, cared for widows, and ministered with compassion to those in need. Every miracle performed through Elisha foreshadows the greater ministry of Christ, who not only meets physical needs but offers eternal life through His death and resurrection.

    For believers today, 2 Kings 4 reminds us that no need is too small for God's attention. He cares deeply about the struggles of everyday life and invites us to trust Him with every concern. In Christ, we serve a Savior whose compassion never fails and whose resources are limitless. As we bring our needs to Him in faith and obedience, we discover again that our God is both able and willing to provide according to His perfect love.

    2 Corinthians 10 — Spiritual Warfare and the Authority of the Christ

    2 Corinthians chapter 10 marks a transition in the letter as Paul begins to defend the integrity of his ministry against those who questioned his authority. Rather than responding with pride or personal ambition, he continually points the believers back to the Christ, the Son of God. The chapter reveals that the redemptive plan advances not through human strength or worldly influence, but through spiritual power that comes from God. Christian living is therefore a spiritual battle, requiring believers to rely completely upon the authority of the Christ.

    The chapter begins with Paul's appeal in the gentleness and meekness of the Christ. His approach reflects the character of the Son of God, who combined humility with unwavering truth. Christian leadership is not exercised through intimidation or self-promotion but through faithful obedience to the Christ. The redemptive plan is carried forward by servants who imitate the humility and compassion of their Savior.

    Paul then addresses accusations that he operated according to worldly methods. He acknowledges that believers live in a physical world, but he makes it clear that the battle they fight is spiritual. The weapons God provides are entirely different from those valued by the world. Human wisdom, influence, and power cannot accomplish what only the Christ can do. The redemptive plan advances through the truth of God's Word, the power of the Holy Spirit, prayer, and faithful obedience.

    A central emphasis of the chapter is the battle for the mind. Strongholds are described as patterns of thinking, arguments, and beliefs that oppose the knowledge of God. The Christ calls believers to bring every thought into submission to His lordship. Christian living is not merely about controlling outward behavior but allowing the truth of the Son of God to reshape the way we think. Transformation begins in the mind as believers submit every area of life to His authority.

    Paul also reminds the Corinthians that spiritual authority is given for building people up rather than tearing them down. The purpose of ministry is always restoration, encouragement, and growth in the Christ. The redemptive plan produces servants who seek the spiritual health of God's people rather than their own recognition or influence.

    The chapter addresses the danger of comparing ourselves with others. Those opposing Paul measured success by outward appearance, personal reputation, and human achievement. Paul rejects this entirely. Christian living is not about competing with other believers but faithfully fulfilling the calling God has given. The Son of God measures faithfulness rather than popularity, obedience rather than public recognition.

    There is also a strong emphasis on staying within the sphere of ministry God has assigned. Rather than seeking personal advancement, Paul desires only to faithfully accomplish the work entrusted to him. This demonstrates humility and contentment in the redemptive plan. The Christ appoints different responsibilities to different believers, and each is called to serve faithfully where God has placed them.
    The chapter concludes with a warning against self-commendation. Human approval is temporary and unreliable, but God's approval is eternal. The only praise that ultimately matters is the commendation that comes from the Christ. Christian living therefore seeks to please the Son of God above all else, recognizing that He alone judges with perfect wisdom and righteousness.

    Throughout this chapter, the Christ is presented as the source of true authority, true strength, and true victory. His power tears down spiritual strongholds, transforms minds, equips His servants, and advances His redemptive plan throughout the world. Every victory belongs to Him alone.

    For believers today, this chapter reminds us that our greatest battles are spiritual rather than merely physical. Christian living requires us to depend daily upon the power of the Christ rather than our own abilities. We are called to guard our minds with His truth, reject worldly standards of success, and faithfully serve within the calling He has given us. As we submit every thought, every ambition, and every area of life to the Son of God, we become effective servants in His redemptive plan, living for His glory rather than our own.

  • THE HIGH COST OF UNVETTED TRUST: BIBLICAL WISDOM ON NATIONAL, SPIRITUAL, AND MINISTERIAL BOUNDARIES

    1/ Proverbs 20:16 in the NASB 1995 reads: "Take his garment when he becomes surety for a stranger; And for foreigners, hold him in pledge." While modern ears might find this instruction severe, Scripture is providing an essential lesson on stewardship, governance, and spiritual boundaries.

    2/ On a physical and economic level, standing as surety means guaranteeing the debt of another person. Biblical wisdom warns that co-signing for a stranger without collateral or proof of character is financial recklessness. Entrusting capital to unproven individuals invites ruin for households, corporations, and entire nations.

    3/ Today, political movements frequently weaponize Old Testament commands to love the stranger, selectively stripping those verses of their original context. Ancient biblical law did extend hospitality to foreigners, but it explicitly required assimilation, obedience to the law of the land, and a commitment to the nation's God and moral order.

    4/ Socialist and progressive ideologies warp these scriptures to justify open-ended state funding and unchecked immigration. True Christian charity is voluntary, sacrificial, and wise. Forcing taxpayers to act as financial guarantors for unvetted foreigners is not compassion; it is state-mandated recklessness that violates biblical principles of stewardship.

    5/ When leaders compel a country to assume responsibility for individuals who have not demonstrated worthiness or a commitment to assimilate, they destroy the foundation of the nation state. A government that bankrupts its own citizens to fund unproven entities abdicates its primary duty: to protect and serve its own household first.

    6/ On a spiritual level, this verse addresses the guardrails of the mind and heart. In scripture, garments represent our moral standing, thoughts, words, and choices. When you become surety for a stranger spiritually, you are allowing unvetted ideas, worldly philosophies, or destructive habits to take host in your soul.

    7/ This same betrayal occurs within controlling and abusive Christian ministries. When spiritual leaders twist the Word of God by blending it with Greek philosophy, secular ideologies, or humanistic psychology to dominate others, they give in to their own evil inclination. By substituting man's wisdom for divine truth, they cross over into the realm of spiritual idolatry.

    8/ These abusive systems surrender the pure garments of faith to foreign deceptions. By replacing biblical truth with psychological manipulation and authoritarian control, they abandon true shepherdhood and lead believers onto the other side of spiritual corruption.

    9/ God calls His people to be generous, but never naive. Genuine compassion always operates within the framework of order, law, and absolute truth. Whether in national policy, church leadership, or personal faith, true strength requires discerning boundaries over reckless sentimentality and subtle heresy.

  • In Colossians 4:15, we read of a man who used his space for promote the Kingdom of God.

    "Salute the brethren which are in Laodicea, and Nymphas, and the church which is in his house."

    The Apostle Paul does not commend Nymphas for his theology, his singing, or his public witnessβ€”though he may have had all these. Hel immortalizes him for one simple, staggering act: he opened his door.

    In the bustling city of Laodicea, where wealth blinded and lukewarm faith sickened, there was a home that became holy ground. Nymphas took the four walls where he ate, slept, and lived, and he declared them God's territory.

    He did not wait for a synagogue or a temple; he offered his ordinary space for the extraordinary work of the Kingdom.

    Here is my point: Do not despise the "house" God has given you.

    Your living room is a potential sanctuary. Your dining table is not just for meals; it is an altar for fellowship. Your spare room is not storage; it is a seedbed for the Spirit.

    Nymphas risked his comfort, his reputation, and his safety. In those days, to host a church was to invite persecution, noise, and disruption. Yet he counted the cost and found it small compared to the presence of Christ in his house. He understood that faith is not a Sunday event but a daily habitat.

    So I ask you: Who is in your house? Not just physically, but spiritually? Are you sheltering the weary? Are you convening the hungry for truth? Are you making your private life public for the sake of the Gospel?

    You don't need a pulpit to pastor. You need a doorβ€”and the will to unlock it. Nymphas' legacy is not a building; it is a hospitality that makes heaven come down to earth.

    Let your home be a house where Christ is at home. And let the world know that the Church is not made of stone, but of surrendered space.

    Make your ordinary home, extraordinary place for Christ.

    Shalom!
    In Colossians 4:15, we read of a man who used his space for promote the Kingdom of God. "Salute the brethren which are in Laodicea, and Nymphas, and the church which is in his house." The Apostle Paul does not commend Nymphas for his theology, his singing, or his public witnessβ€”though he may have had all these. • Good morning, brethren.
    1. Morning devotion for today.

    MD.i. MORNING TEA
    THE WORD FOR TODAY
    WEDNESDAY JULY 22, 2026. "ENCOURAGEMENT--IT'S A POWERFUL THING"

    β€˜If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging.’  Romans 12:8 NLT

    MANY A man and woman who quit would have kept going if they had just received a word of encouragement from someone. Encouragement is so vital that the Scriptures rank it up there with gifts like teaching and leadership (Romans 12:6-8). Here are two stories that illustrate the power of encouragement. Story one: Not long ago, the world watched as three grey whales, icebound off Point Barrow, Alaska, floated battered and bloody, gasping for breath at a hole in the ice. The whales’ only hope was to be somehow transported five miles past the ice pack to the open sea. Rescuers began cutting a string of breathing holes about twenty yards apart in the six-inch thick ice. For eight days they painstakingly coaxed the whales from one hole to the next, mile after mile. Along the way, one of the trio vanished and was presumed dead. But finally, with the help of Russian icebreakers, the other two whales, Putu and Siku, swam to freedom. Story two: Jackie Robinson was the first black player in the US to play major league baseball. While breaking baseball’s colour barrier, he faced jeering crowds in every stadium. Playing one day in his home stadium in Brooklyn, he made an error and his own fans began to boo him. As he stood, humiliated, at second base, β€˜Pee Wee’ Reese came over and stood next to him. He put his arm around Robinson and they faced the crowd together. The fans grew quiet; the game continued. Robinson later said that arm around his shoulder saved his career! Encouragementβ€”it’s a powerful thing. So who can you encourage today?

    *DAWNING DAY OF RESTORATION* πŸ«΅πŸ½πŸ½β€πŸ½β€πŸ½πŸ½β€πŸ½πŸ½

    ```TEXT:JOEL 3:14-21```
    ```KEY VERSE:``` _*"And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah shall flow with waters, and a fountain shall come forth of the house of the LORD, and shall water the valley of Shittim" (JOEL 3:18).*_

    *It was in Alfred Tennyson's poem, _The Lotos-Eaters,_ that the following picture of hope is captured:*

    _*"Courage!" he said, and pointed toward the land,*_
    _*"This mounting wave will roll us shoreward soon.*_
    _*In the afternoon they came unto a land,*_
    _*In which it seemed always afternoon.*_
    _*All round the coast the languid air did swoon,*_
    _*Breathing like one that hath a weary dream."*_

    *The sea-wearied mariners finally found the shore of solace, where they excitedly burst into a joyful chorus:*

    _*"Our island home is far beyond the wave;*_
    _*We will no longer roam."*_

    *A day of hope and restoration awaits the Israel of God after the Lord has dealt with their Gentile enemies. Prophet Joel saw in his vision hordes of God's enemies rushing headlong and mindlessly into the 'valley of God's decisive judgment.' A day of divine recompense is yet in the womb of time. Israel should be assured of God's unfailing day of their full restoration to the land promised to them by the Lord. Over many generations, their enemies had enslaved, deprived and vexed them with untempered bitterness. The Assyrians had ill-used them; the Egyptians had abused them; the Babylonians had traduced them; they had suffered untold hardship under the rule of the Medians and the Persians. The Greeks had not spared them too. The Romans had ruthlessly brutalised them and razed down Jerusalem finally in 70 AD.*

    *However, "weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning." These pains and pangs of many centuries under alien nations will soon be over, and a new dawn of peace, prosperity, and divine presence will be in the offing for Israel.*

    *As it was for the enemies of Israel, so it shall be in the end for the enemies of the church of Christ. In contrast, the future is bright for those who have a cordial relationship with the Lord. People who trust Jesus Christ as their Saviour will never be called into God's judgment court, and they no longer need to fear the storm. Therefore, let the beloved of the Lord take heart and be patient in times of bitter trials, temptations and fierce persecutions. "Ye have condemned and killed the just; and he doth not resist you. Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh." Like the chorus of the Lotos-Eaters, these mounting waves of trials and temptation shall roll us eventually to the shore of rest!*

    ``` MEMORY VERSE:``` _*"Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought!" (NUMBERS 23:23).*_
    *Lydia, a young lady, was drawn into the world of charms and superstitions, searching for a shortcut to success. She was introduced to a so-called "charmer" who promised wealth and fame; but despite following prescribed ritual processes, her life only became more chaotic. Her relationships suffered, and she felt emptier than ever before.*
    *One day, after a powerful encounter with God, she realised that true success and peace could never come through charms or quick fixes. She turned away from the illusions of the world and chose to trust in God's plan for her life. "Charms and spells may deceive the heart, but only truth sets the soul free," said Ralph Waldo Emerson.*
    *In Numbers 23:19-23, we learn that no matter how powerful the charmers or magicians might seem, God's plans cannot be thwarted. Balaam, despite being hired to curse Israel, could only bless them because God's will is unshakable. The Bible says in Numbers 23:23, "Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel".*
    *This is a reminder to us youths that no charm or superstition can have power over our lives when we are under God's protection. True power comes from trusting in God's plans, not in the fleeting allure of charms.*
    ```Key Verse:``` _*"Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him" (Genesis 26:12).*_

    Isaac was a friend of God. The protection of God was on him. Abimelech warned his people who had been disturbing Isaac to stop their wicked activities towards him. This was God's favour on him. Isaac learned to love the Lord from the time he was a young child.

    He was that boy who willingly gave himself to his father to be offered as a sacrificie to God. God was happy with him and provided a ram from heaven to his father for the burnt offering. The blessing of Abraham passed on to him not just because he was Abraham's son, but because he, personally, loved and obeyed the Lord. God always blesses those children who love and obey Him.

    Isaac was not slothful or lazy either. Though he inherited covenant blessings from his father, yet, he worked very hard. Our Bible passage confirms that God blessed Isaac more and more.

    It is not enough to know and quote the promises of God for Him to bless you. If you know all the promises of God in your heart and fold your arms and do not work, the blessings of God's provision may not come. Isaac had all-round blessings.

    *The same God who promises to make you the head and not the tail, is the same who has warned us not to be slothful in business; but rather, consider the ants who work hard at the right time. As you turn away from that lazy and procrastinating attitude, God will bless all you do.*

    *EVENTS THAT MUST COME TO PASS*

    *TEXT:* JOEL 3:14-21.

    14Β Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of theΒ LORDΒ is near in the valley of decision.
    15Β The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining.
    16Β TheΒ LORDΒ also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but theΒ LORDΒ will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.
    17Β So shall ye know that I am theΒ LORDΒ your God dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more.
    18Β And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah shall flow with waters, and a fountain shall come forth out of the house of theΒ LORD, and shall water the valley of Shittim.
    19Β Egypt shall be a desolation, and Edom shall be a desolate wilderness, for the violence against the children of Judah, because they have shed innocent blood in their land.
    20Β But Judah shall dwell for ever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation.
    21Β For I will cleanse their blood that I have not cleansed: for theΒ LORDΒ dwelleth in Zion.

    *Timeless Truth:*
    _"Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of theΒ LORDΒ is near in the valley of decision"_ (Joel 3:14).

    *INTRODUCTION*

    The information of the last days events that must come to pass are scattered in different Books of the Old and the New Testament. None of the prophets gave comprehensive information on any of the subjects except those given by Jesus Christ and John the Beloved on the Island of Patmos. However, combining the revelation of those prophets will give a more comprehensive information of the things that must shortly come to pass. The closing verses of Joel present a prophetic picture of the events that will culminate in God's final judgment and the establishment of His righteous kingdom. These are not uncertain predictions, but divine decrees that must come to pass according to God's eternal purpose. The passage reminds believers that history is moving toward God's appointed climax, where every individual and nation will give an account before Him. Therefore, the wise prepare themselves spiritually, remain faithful and confidently await the fulfilment of God's promises.

    *1. The Determinate Valley of Decision*

    a. God created man as a free moral agent and therefore, he is expected to make his decisions and be fully responsible for his decisions. God only gives the needed information and persuades people to choose right and in the light of eternity. He told Israel as He still tells all today, *". I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: ".* Decision always determine destiny. Right and divinely informed decisions will lead to eternal life while carefree and selfish decisions will lead to eternal damnation. In the text, the prophet was made to see far into *"the day of the LORD"* and into the valley of decision. *"Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision..."*. *The day of the LORD* describes the gathering of nations before God's judgment. Decisions are both ways. Man must make His decision before that day when God will make His decision as to what to do with the wicked. The "valley of decision" is where people seal their choices after their decisions and where God pronounces His irreversible verdict. *The day of the LORD* is certain and no sinner will escape His righteous judgment.
    b. God always gives opportunities for people to make their decision and He also will judge all base on their personal and individual decisions made. While God's grace is available today, the opportunity to repent will not remain forever. Every person must respond to Christ before the day of divine judgment arrives. It was not only Joel that had the vision of impending judgment of nations and individuals. Virtually, most the prophets saw it and it is irreversible. It will happen.

    *Question*

    Are you living each day with the consciousness that you will one day stand before God's judgment seat?

    *2. The Deadly Visions of Destruction*

    a. Joel portrays terrifying cosmic disturbances: *". The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining. "*. This has to do with the event at the Great Tribulation period preceding the Second Coming of Christ. Jesus confirmed it in Matthew 24:21,27-30. These signs reveal the majesty and holiness of God as He judges evil. The wrath of God during the Great Tribulation will be so fearful that *"the heavens and the earth shall shake"*.
    b. The prophet concentrates on the fate of Israel as a nation during this period. *"The LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel"*. Israel will be protected from the wicked onslaught of the Antichrist. Though the wicked will do wickedly, God's people will find refuge in Him. God's people will always be given shelter, protection and refuge from His wrath and the wickedness of the wicked.The same Lord who shakes heaven and earth is the secure shelter of those who trust Him. His judgment is dreadful for sinners, but comforting for the righteous. God is always our refuge in trouble.

    *Question*

    Is the Lord your refuge or are you relying on temporary earthly securities?

    *3.The Divine Visitations According to Decisions*

    a. The decisions people make will determine God's response to them. Every decision you make at any instance either draws you closer to God or farther away from God. Be always mindful of your decisions. Egypt and Edom will become desolate during the Millennial reign of Christ *"because they have shed innocent blood in their land"*. It is the opposite of the holy Jerusalem because they will be cleansed of their sins. In the time of the Millennial reign of Christ, there will be abundant prosperity, the visible presence of God and unlimited blessings for the godly. *"The mountains shall drop down......and the hills shall flow with milk"*. God's visitations are consistent with His justice: He rewards faithfulness and judges rebellion. Eternal blessing belongs to those who belong to Him.
    b. The wicked may appear to prosper and enjoy this world, but their end is regret, sorrow and judgment of God. The righteous may appear to lack and righteousness may not be fashionable in the land, but the righteous will always have the last laugh if they can endure faithfully to the end.

    *Question*

    Are your daily decisions leading you toward God's eternal blessings or toward His judgment?

    *Prayer Points*

    1.Lord, help me to live every day in readiness for the coming Day of the Lord and to remain faithful until the end .
    2.Father, be my refuge and strength in every trial and preserve me from the judgments coming upon the world .
    3.Lord, let my decisions always align with Your perfect will so that I will enjoy Your favour and everlasting blessings .
    4.Father, establish Your righteousness in our lives, keep us steadfast in Christ, make and keep us ready for Your glorious kingdom .

    *HYMN:* Have you counted the cost

    MP.i. Morning Prayer

    Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. ⏀ Revelation 3:20

    If we would understand the potential power of our homes, we would fall on our knees and ask God to make our homes sanctuaries of peace and love. ⏀ E.M. Bounds

    Our Father, we thank You for our home. Many people in this great world are homeless and lonely. You have given us a home with many comforts. We are grateful for it and pray that Your blessing may be upon our home life.

    We thank You, Jesus, that You are willing to be a guest in our home. We remember how You blessed and brought joy to the home in Bethany when You were on earth. May You make our home Your dwelling place, just as You did with Martha and Mary. May Your peace rest upon our home. Help us to make our family life sweet and beautiful, pleasing to You, and comforting to You when You come to stay with us. Let us never grieve You with selfish behavior, quarreling, or strife.

    Help us to offer You true hospitality, not just within our doors, but also within our hearts. We want to welcome You into every part of our lives, shutting You out of no roomβ€”letting You dwell in us fully and completely so that all our life may feel Your influence and be blessed by Your Spirit and love. We want to become like You, and we know we can only do that if You live in our hearts and pour Your grace through every part of our being.

    As we go out now to face the experiences of this new day, we place our hands in Yours, asking You to lead us and guide us. You have promised that as our days are, so shall our strength be. You know what this day holds for us and what strength we will need; may You provide what we need as each moment comes.

    We ask for these mercies and favors in Your blessed name, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.

*1. The Determinate Valley of Decision* a. *Question* Are you living each day with the consciousness that you will one day stand before God's judgment seat? *2. The Deadly Visions of Destruction* a. *Question* Is the Lord your refuge or are you relying on temporary earthly securities? *3.The Divine Visitations According to Decisions* a. *Question* Are your daily decisions leading you toward God's eternal blessings or toward His judgment? *Prayer Points* 1.Lord, help me to live every day in readiness for the coming Day of the Lord and to remain faithful until the end πŸ™. 2.Father, be my refuge and strength in every trial and preserve me from the judgments coming upon the world πŸ™. 3.Lord, let my decisions always align with Your perfect will so that I will enjoy Your favour and everlasting blessings πŸ™. 4.Father, establish Your righteousness in our lives, keep us steadfast in Christ, make and keep us ready for Your glorious kingdom πŸ™. *HYMN:* Have you counted the cost *BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:* EXODUS 20-22. Morning Prayer Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. ⏀ Revelation 3:20 If we would understand the potential power of our homes, we would fall on our knees and ask God to make our homes sanctuaries of peace and love. ⏀ E.M. Bounds Our Father, we thank You for our home. Amen. https://www.youdevotion.com/daily-prayer/miller/17/morning #taptapstudio #youdevotion.

    [21/07, 8:59 pm] Pastor Attah: *MEDITATIONS ON DAILY β“‚ANNA*

    WEDNESDAY, 22ND JULY, 2026.

Amen.

    Good morning, brethren. 1. Morning devotion for today. MD.i. πŸ˜€πŸŒΊπŸŒΉπŸŽπŸŽ€πŸ’ MORNING TEA THE WORD FOR TODAY WEDNESDAY JULY 22, 2026. "ENCOURAGEMENT--IT'S A POWERFUL THING" β€˜If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging.’  Romans 12:8 NLT MANY A man and woman who quit would have kept going if they had just received a word of encouragement from someone. Bible In A Year: Acts 27-28; Matt11;10-18; Ps42:1-5; Pro 16:16. The Romans had ruthlessly brutalised them and razed down Jerusalem finally in 70 AD.* *However, "weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning." These pains and pangs of many centuries under alien nations will soon be over, and a new dawn of peace, prosperity, and divine presence will be in the offing for Israel.* *As it was for the enemies of Israel, so it shall be in the end for the enemies of the church of Christ. Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh." Like the chorus of the Lotos-Eaters, these mounting waves of trials and temptation shall roll us eventually to the shore of rest!* ✍🏽```THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:``` _*Every adversity confronting God's people bears an expiry date.*_ πŸ“œπŸ“œ```THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:``` *EXODUS 20-22*πŸ“œπŸ“œ Dawning Day Of Restoration https://dailymanna.app// *RECOMMENDED GOSPEL HYMNS AND SONGS - GHS 5: NEVER GIVE UP; GHS 7: TURN YOUR EYES UPON JESUS; AND GHS 30: I'VE ANCHORED IN JESUS* *TXD [THEXDEVOTIONALS] on Twitter* *#DailyManna22ndJuly2026* *#GCK* *#WorshipNuggets* *#BibleNuggets* *#LeadershipNuggets* *#RevivalNuggets* *#CrusadeNuggets* https://www.youtube.com/[THEXDEVOTIONALS] [21/07, 8:59 pm] Pastor Attah: ```DEEPER CHRISTIAN LIFE MINISTRY``` _*HIGHER EVERYDπŸ…°οΈY: (A DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE FOR YOUTHS)*_ βœπŸ½πŸ‘©πŸ»β€πŸ’ΌπŸŒ» πŸ‡πŸ™πŸ½πŸ›°πŸš€πŸ”¬πŸ“š ```WEDNESDAY 22ND JULY, 2026``` *DISAPPOINTMENT FOR CHARMERS* πŸŽšοΈπŸ““πŸ“–πŸ«΅πŸ½πŸ™‹πŸ½β€β™‚οΈπŸ™‹πŸ½β€β™€οΈπŸ§œπŸ½β€β™‚οΈπŸ§žβŒπŸ‘ŽπŸ½πŸ—£οΈπŸ§ŽπŸ½πŸ§ŽπŸ½β€β™€οΈπŸ™πŸ½ πŸ“œπŸ“œ```TEXT:NUMBERS 23:19-23```πŸ“œπŸ“œ πŸ“–``` MEMORY VERSE:``` _*"Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought!" She was introduced to a so-called "charmer" who promised wealth and fame; but despite following prescribed ritual processes, her life only became more chaotic. Her relationships suffered, and she felt emptier than ever before.* *One day, after a powerful encounter with God, she realised that true success and peace could never come through charms or quick fixes. She turned away from the illusions of the world and chose to trust in God's plan for her life. "Charms and spells may deceive the heart, but only truth sets the soul free," said Ralph Waldo Emerson.* *In Numbers 23:19-23, we learn that no matter how powerful the charmers or magicians might seem, God's plans cannot be thwarted. Balaam, despite being hired to curse Israel, could only bless them because God's will is unshakable. The Bible says in Numbers 23:23, "Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel".* *This is a reminder to us youths that no charm or superstition can have power over our lives when we are under God's protection.
