  • THE MONEY’S MIND
The Economic Way of the Lord

    By Omodolapo Ogunye

What if the way out of an economic wilderness is not first a financial instrument, but a Person?

We often approach economic difficulty through the language of money: capital, debt, investment, employment, markets, policy and opportunity.

But the revelation of the Body of the Word gives us another starting point.

The Body of the Word is the way of the Lord.

Revelation 1 describes the feet of the Son of God as being “like bronze glowing in a furnace.” The imagery speaks of something firm, refined and established—a way.

    Isaiah 40:4 declares:

“The rough ground shall become level, the rugged places a plain.”

The Word is therefore not merely something to believe.

The Word is a way to walk.

And this way has an economic and financial dimension.

    THE MONEY IS THE WORD

Song of Solomon 5:11 gives us another dimension of the Body of the Word:

    “His head is purest gold.”

Gold is a language of value, wealth and monetary significance. Yet Scripture uses gold to describe the Person of the Beloved—the Word.

This is the foundation of The Money’s Mind:

    The Money is a Person.
    The Money is the Word.
    The Money has a Mind.

The economic question therefore becomes larger than how to acquire money.

What is the economic way of the Word?

How does the Word navigate an economy?

How does the Word respond to economic difficulty?

How does the Word create a way where there appears to be no way?

    THE WAY THROUGH THE WILDERNESS

    Isaiah 43:19 records the declaration:

“I am making a way in the desert.”

A desert represents an environment in which productivity appears constrained—a place where resources seem scarce, opportunities seem limited and progress becomes difficult.

    There can be financial deserts.

    There can be economic deserts.

There can be national economic wildernesses.

But the revelation is that a desert does not have to be the final destination.

God says, “I am making a way in the desert.”

A way in the desert becomes a way out of the desert.

This is where the economic way of the Lord becomes significant.

The Body of the Word, as the aggressive hunger of the Father, is presented as the pathway through economic environments—even environments marked by difficulty, uncertainty and apparent impossibility.

The answer is not simply to escape the economy.

It is to discover the way of God within it.

THE WAY IS ALSO A VOICE

    Isaiah 30:21 provides another dimension:

“Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it.’”

The economic way of the Lord is therefore not merely a path.

    It is a voice.

This is crucial because economic environments require judgment.

    There are multiple opportunities.

    Multiple markets.

    Multiple investments.

    Multiple business models.

    Multiple directions.

The challenge is not always finding an opportunity.

Sometimes the challenge is knowing which way to walk.

    The Word becomes a lamp.

    Psalm 119:105 says:

“Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.”

    The economic implication is profound:

You need economic sight before you need economic movement.

And the quality of your movement depends upon what you are capable of hearing.

WHAT YOU CRAVE, YOU LEARN TO HEAR

There is a principle embedded in this revelation: craving affects hearing.

What you continually desire begins to shape what you recognise.

If your deepest hunger is merely for money, you may become increasingly sensitive to opportunities for money while remaining insensitive to the wisdom required to carry it.

But if your hunger is for the Body of the Word, your capacity to recognise the voice of the Word begins to develop.

This changes the meaning of financial intelligence.

Financial intelligence is not merely knowing how money works.

It is knowing which way to walk with money.

It is knowing what to build.

    What to avoid.

    What to pursue.

    What to preserve.

    What to multiply.

    What to abandon.

And, ultimately, what voice to follow.

THE ECONOMIC WAY OF THE LORD

The Body of the Word is described as burnished bronze.

The Body of the Word is described through blazing fire.

The Body of the Word is described in economic language through gold, riches, honor and enduring wealth.

When these revelations are brought together, a larger proposition emerges:

The Body of the Word, as the aggressive hunger of the Father, is the economic and financial way of the Lord.

This way is relevant to the individual, the enterprise and the nation.

    It speaks to economic environments.

    It speaks to financial decisions.

    It speaks to productivity.

    It speaks to wealth creation.

It speaks to the movement of the Father within the economies of nations.

And it speaks particularly to those seasons when the economy looks like a desert.

    The desert may be real.

    The difficulty may be real.

The financial pressure may be real.

But the absence of an obvious path does not mean there is no path.

    The Word is the Way.

    THE MONEY’S MIND

This is why The Money’s Mind is not simply about making money.

It is about discovering the Mind behind the Money.

    The Money is the Word.

    The Word has a Mind.

And the Mind of the Word reveals a way of seeing, thinking, creating, stewarding and navigating economic life.

So when you encounter an economic wilderness, the first question should not simply be:

    “How do I get out?”

    Ask:

“What is the way of the Lord here?”

    And then:

“What is the voice saying: This is the way; walk in it?”

Because a way is being made.

    Even in the desert.

The Body of the Word is the economic and financial way of the Lord.

    The Money is the Word.

    The Money has a Mind.

And the Mind of the Word knows the way.

  • Good evening, brethren.
    1. Evening devotion for today.

    ED.i. *DAILY WALK WITH CHRIST*
    (COCIN DEVOTIONAL)

    *DATE:*
    FRIDAY 14TH AUGUST, 2026

    *SUB-THEME:*
    YOUTHS: VESSELS OF GOD'S GRACE.

    *TOPIC:*
    LIVING ABOVE REPROACH.

    *TEXT:*
    PSALM 34:4-5
    4. I sought the Lord, and He answered me; He delivered me from all my fears.
    5. Those who look to Him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.

    *TOPIC:*
    LIVING ABOVE REPROACH.

    *THE MESSAGE:*
Living _above reproach_ is a life that is marked by integrity, godly character, and freedom from blame or shame. Today's text explains that those who sincerely seek God are delivered from fear and never brought to shame. While reproach involves disapproval due to moral failure, believers, especially youths, are called to live in a way that honours God. This does not mean being perfect but being intentional, obedient, Spirit-led, and uncompromising in faith. Ultimately, a life above reproach serves as a radiant testimony that points others to Christ. Who are your companions? Be warned, bad company corrupts good character. Do not be influenced by bad friends; instead, influence them with life of Christ in you.

    *REFLECTION:*
    Do not misuse God's grace.

    *PRAYER:*
Lord, help me to live above reproach. Amen.

    *MEMORY VERSE FOR THE MONTH:*
    2 TIMOTHY 2:21.
"If a man cleanses himself from the latter, he will be instruments for noble purposes, made holy, useful to the Master, and prepared to do any good work.

    *TODAY'S BIBLE READING PLAN:*
    JEREMIAH 50-52.

    ED.ii. IMAGINATION

"So God created mankind in His own image, in the image of God He created them; male and female He created them." - Genesis 1:27

To create something you need imagination; this means, you are able to imagine something that is not yet there - God did that too. He said: 'Let Us make mankind in Our image, in Our likeness.' He imagined in His mind an image that would resemble Him, however, this image was not there yet. We may not think this through, but it is a Divine quality.

A sculptor sees in a lump of clay or in a piece of stone, the entire image he wants to make - this is a Divine quality in him. Before he picks up the brush, the artist already sees what he is going to paint. A musician is able to write and play the music which he hears in his mind beforehand. God puts that in such person. The human being is able to have an image or an idea of something in his mind which still needs to happen.

    Wrong use of imagination

Imagination can also be very dangerous. God put this in us to use it for good. But since the time man became corrupt, it has also been used by the evil one. By using their imagination people such as terrorists, come up with complicated and angry plans which is sometimes implemented later. Nuclear weapons were thought out; they were not suddenly invented. A man's thoughts can also be influenced by the evil one.

Creativity has been placed in man by God

Genesis 1:27 says that this attribute of creativity has been placed in man by God. Look, God did not quickly put man together. No, man with a soul and spirit has been made so superior because God thought about it. He created man with a lot of love. Everything in our body works perfectly. Just think of our brains and organs: everything is ingeniously made by God! How foolish to believe that man came from a primordial slime. Those poor scientists are completely lost with their theory of evolution.

    2. Evening Prayer for today.

    EP.i. Evening Prayer

I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety. โค Psalm 4:8

Christians are not perfect, but they should be perfectly restful. โค A.W. Tozer

Lord, You alone make us live in safety. We lie down at night under the shadow of Your wings, and our sleep is sweet because You sustain us. We ask You now for another night of rest and comfort. As the sun has set and darkness covers us, weโ€™re reminded of how much we need You. We have no power to keep or care for ourselves. Be our protection tonight. Let no harm come near us, let no sickness invade our home, let nothing cause us fear.

As the stars come out as the sun sets, weโ€™re reminded of the promises of Your grace, which shine even brighter when the sun of our prosperity or happiness fades. We wouldnโ€™t see the stars without the night, and we thank You for the many uplifting, comforting words in the Scripture that we wouldnโ€™t notice without our troubles and sorrows. Weโ€™ve found many precious meanings in Your Word during times of trial that we never saw before. Make Your Word more and more a treasure house of goodness, which You will reveal to us as we need it.

Grant us an evening blessing. Bless our home life. May our love for each other grow stronger every day. Help us to see the best in each other. Help us each to give our best to one another. Protect us from impatience and lack of kindness, and give us the grace to be kind to each other. May we learn from Jesus how to love at home. Enable us to be helpful to each other, making each other better, stronger, and more courageous.

In Your great mercy, O God, forgive us all our sins, and bring us at last into Your heavenly kingdom, through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.

"And when you were dead in your wrongdoings and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our wrongdoings, [14] having ๐—ฐ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฐ๐—ฒ๐—น๐—น๐—ฒ๐—ฑ the ๐—ฐ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ณ๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ฒ of debt ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐—ป๐˜€๐—ถ๐˜€๐˜๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐—ผ๐—ณ ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ฐ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ฒ๐˜€ against us, ๐˜„๐—ต๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ต ๐˜„๐—ฎ๐˜€ ๐—ต๐—ผ๐˜€๐˜๐—ถ๐—น๐—ฒ ๐˜๐—ผ ๐˜‚๐˜€; and He has taken it out of the way, having ๐—ป๐—ฎ๐—ถ๐—น๐—ฒ๐—ฑ it to the cross."

We believers were spiritually dead in sin and guilty of wrongdoings too, but Jesus washed that all away and made us spiritually alive! That born again spiritual life is "eternal life." We will never be judged again for our sins, because even the "๐—ฐ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ณ๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ฒ" "๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐—ป๐˜€๐—ถ๐˜€๐˜๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐—ผ๐—ณ ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ฐ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ฒ๐˜€" "๐˜„๐—ต๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ต ๐˜„๐—ฎ๐˜€ ๐—ต๐—ผ๐˜€๐˜๐—ถ๐—น๐—ฒ ๐˜๐—ผ ๐˜‚๐˜€" has been "๐—ฐ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฐ๐—ฒ๐—น๐—น๐—ฒ๐—ฑ" and "๐—ป๐—ฎ๐—ถ๐—น๐—ฒ๐—ฑ" to the cross.

What is this certificate consisting of decrees that are hostile to us?

    Ephesians 2:15-16 NASB
"by abolishing in His flesh the hostility, ๐˜„๐—ต๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ต ๐—ถ๐˜€ ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—Ÿ๐—ฎ๐˜„ composed of commandments expressed in ordinances, so that in Himself He might make the two one new person, in this way establishing peace; [16] and that He might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, by it having put to death the hostility."

Notice the answer. The thing hostile to us consisting of decrees, ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐—บ๐—ฝ๐—ผ๐˜€๐—ฒ๐—ฑ ๐—ผ๐—ณ ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐—บ๐—บ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ๐—บ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜๐˜€, is the law. It is NOT the ordinances themselves. It is the ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐—บ๐—บ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ๐—บ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜๐˜€ ๐—ฒ๐˜…

The Amplified Bible puts it this way.

    Ephesians 2:14-15 AMPC
"For He is [Himself] our peace (our bond of unity and harmony). He has made us both [Jew and Gentile] one [body], and has broken down (destroyed, abolished) the hostile dividing wall between us, [15] By abolishing in His [own crucified] flesh the enmity [caused by] ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—Ÿ๐—ฎ๐˜„ ๐˜„๐—ถ๐˜๐—ต ๐—ถ๐˜๐˜€ ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ฐ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ฒ๐˜€ ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—ฑ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฐ๐—ฒ๐˜€ [which He annulled]; that He from the two might create in Himself one new man [one new quality of humanity out of the two], so making peace."

How can the commandments be "๐—ต๐—ผ๐˜€๐˜๐—ถ๐—น๐—ฒ" to us? Because to be subject to them, to be under them, we are held accountable to our performance at obeying them. If we disobey, if we break them, which we do, which we did, we were guilty of sin, and the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23).

The good news is that we are no longer under the law. We are under grace (Romans 6:14). How's that possible? Because, for the believer, the law has been "๐—ฐ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฐ๐—ฒ๐—น๐—น๐—ฒ๐—ฑ," so we are no longer accountable to it. We are dead to it (Romans 7:4). We have been reborn as a new creature in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17). We are born again, and we have eternal life.

  • Is the NASB 1977 Thompson Chain-Reference Bible the best Bible deal on Amazon right now?

In this video, I take a close look at this unique edition and share why it may be one of the most valuable Bible purchases available for serious students of Scripture, pastors, teachers, and everyday believers who want a solid study tool without spending a fortune.

The Thompson Chain-Reference Bible has been trusted by Christians for generations because of its powerful Scripture study system. Rather than relying heavily on commentary, it allows the Bible to speak for itself by connecting related verses and themes throughout the text. • Good morning, brethren.
    1. Morning devotion for today.

    MD.i. MORNING TEA
    THE WORD FOR TODAY
    FRIDAY AUGUST 14, 2O26.
    "PROMISES, PROMISES!' (1)"

โ€˜โ€ฆwhen you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.โ€™ Hebrews 10:36 NIV.

MANY OF us remember singing in church, โ€˜Every promise in the Book is mine!โ€™ Exciting wordsโ€”but are they entirely true? If youโ€™ve prayed for the fulfilment of a Bible promise that didnโ€™t materialise, you may have wondered, felt disillusioned, or even stopped trusting. Whatโ€™s true is that every promise in the Book intended for you, is yours! God is committed to keeping every promise He has made (Matthew 24:35). So how can you know which Bible promises are yours? Here are some scriptural guidelines to help you: 1) Be sure you understand the promise. God is committed to His Word, not to your interpretation of it. When Jesus said, โ€˜โ€ฆDestroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it upโ€™ (John 2:19 NKJV), His audience completely misunderstood Him, thinking He meant the literal temple when He meant His body. 2) Walk in the Spirit, not the flesh. Walking in the Spirit, Peter received divine understanding of Christโ€™s deity. When Jesus asked, โ€˜Who do you say I am?โ€™ Peter answered, โ€˜You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.โ€™ Jesus replied, โ€˜โ€ฆthis was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Fatherโ€ฆโ€™ (Matthew 16:15-17 NIV). Soon afterwards, walking in the flesh, the same man totally misunderstood Jesus and was severely rebuked by Jesus (Matthew 16:21-23). Why? Because โ€˜โ€ฆthe natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of Godโ€ฆnor can he know them, because they are spiritually discernedโ€™ (1 Corinthians 2:14 NKJV). So submit your thoughts to God; pray for His guidance, and in due course, youโ€™ll get the insight you need.

    MD.ii.

    2. Morning Prayer for today.

    MP.i. Morning Prayer

And whatsoever ye do, do [it] heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; โค Colossians 3:23

God does not call us to be successful, but to be faithful. โค Mother Teresa

O God, who brings joy to both the morning and the evening, we thank You for the gladness of this new day. You didnโ€™t let our night be filled with pain or sorrow, but instead, You gave us peace and comfort. Itโ€™s because You kept us safe that we are so richly blessed. We lift our hearts to You in gratitude for the light and joy of this new day. Bless us as we go about our work. Bless our efforts and help us to be diligent. Keep us from growing weary with the routine tasks we must do each day. Help us to do all our tasks with a cheerful heart.

Teach us how to do our everyday work for You. It will be easier if we do it all for You. The burdens wonโ€™t feel so heavy if we are carrying them for You. The tedious tasks wonโ€™t seem so dull if we do them for You. Teach us to live our whole lives for You, so we can truly honor You.

Give us grace to be kind and helpful to everyone we meet today. Sometimes we get impatient, or we arenโ€™t as polite as we should be, or we get irritable in the stressful moments of life. Not everyone we meet is easy to get along with, and sometimes we have to endure rudeness. O God, keep us loving and gentle, no matter what we face today. Help us to always keep a sweet spirit. We want to honor You in everything we do, say, and feel today. Bless us with Your love. Fill us with Your Spirit so that we can be like Jesus, no matter how others treat us.

Make us true blessings wherever we go. Keep us from stumbling. Grant Your grace to everyone we love. And to You, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, we give all the glory. Amen.
