    THE SPIRIT WILL GUIDE US

"When he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth."

    — John 16:13

Jesus isn't saying here that the Spirit will explain everything to us immediately. He's saying that he will guide us, gradually, faithfully, and surely.

Truth isn't just a set of doctrines to master. It's a person to know, and a path to walk. The Spirit of truth isn't a spiritual search engine. He is a guide; he wants to walk with us, to direct us when we hesitate, to bring us back when we lose our way.

The problem isn't that the Spirit doesn't speak. It's that we listen too superficially.

Jesus announced to the disciples that the one who would come after him is the Spirit of truth. Have we accepted the truth? Do we desire the Spirit of truth so that He may lead us to abide in the truth?
The guidance of the Spirit requires silence, humility, and the habit of not deciding before listening. Know that when He comes, He will come to guide you not according to your own will, but according to the truth.

  • #John14:16-20 #Galatians4:6-7 #SpiritofTruth

The world insists on a third, separate, co-equal being they’ve never met, never seen, and can’t personally know (John 14:17). Jesus says the exact opposite: the Comforter is Me, in another form, coming to live inside My people so intimately that the world can’t even perceive who it really is.

That’s why the doctrine of the #trinity (as popularly taught Mark 7:7) is the perfect camouflage: it gives the world a “Holy Spirit” they can talk about endlessly while completely missing the fact that the real Comforter is Christ’s own personal presence living in His sons and daughters.

    Do you see it?

The Comforter = the Spirit of His Son
The Spirit of His Son = Christ Himself coming to us
Therefore the Comforter = Christ in you, the hope of glory (Col 1:27)
