  • Good morning, brethren.
    1. Morning devotion for today.

    MD.i. MORNING TEA
    THE WORD FOR TODAY
    SATURDAY AUGUST 22, 2O26.
    " THREE LEVELS OF ATTACK (2)"

    Then the devil…set Him on the pinnacle...’ Matthew 4:5 NKJV

    THE ATTACK on the pinnacle. Let’s look at the second temptation Jesus faced: ‘Then the devil took Him up into the holy city, [and] set Him on the pinnacle of the temple.’ Here you deal with the fear of failure. Satan will whisper, ‘You’re on the pinnacle of success now, but you could easily fall off.’ He will bring up your past failures. He will remind you of leaders who crashed and burned. He will say, ‘If people realised how little you really know, or the issues you’re struggling with, they wouldn’t respect you.’ There are two kinds of fear: healthy fear and unhealthy fear. Healthy fear will keep you dependent on God; it will protect you from pride and self-sufficiency. ‘Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall’ (1 Corinthians 10:12 NKJV). But there’s an unhealthy fear that will keep you in the boat when Jesus is calling to you to step out and walk with Him on the water. You say, ‘But Peter almost drowned.’ Yes, but he was the only one of the disciples who experienced the joy of walking on the water! Having faith doesn’t mean you won’t experience a sinking feeling at times. You have a choice. You can give in to fear, or trust the God who has called you, sustained you, and never failed to give you the strength needed to cope with whatever you face. If your own intellect or talents are the basis of your confidence, you have good reason to fear. But if God is the basis of your confidence, you have nothing to fear.

    SATURDAY, 22ND AUGUST, 2026.

    *WANT TO BE A RESERVOIR OF DIVINE BLESSINGS?*

    *TEXT:* PSALM 1:1-6.

    1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
    2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
    3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
    4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
    5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
    6 For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

    *Timeless Truth:*_"And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God"_ (Deuteronomy 28:2).

    *INTRODUCTION*

    Every believer desires the blessings of God, but Scripture makes it clear that divine blessings are connected with the way we live, the company we keep and the delight we have in God’s Word. The text presents a sharp contrast between the righteous and the wicked. The righteous person is not merely blessed, occasionally; he becomes like a fruitful tree, continually supplied by divine grace. Furthermore, for the Old Testament saints, the blessings of God and the God’s Covenants with the Patriachs were majorly earthly and material. However, for the New Testament saints, the blessings are majorly spiritual and heavenly, though, with earthly blessings and wealth embedded. The uniform testimony of the Scriptures is that in order to be blessed by God and even be a reservoir of divine blessings, we must deliberately, separate ourselves from ungodly influences, delight in God’s Word and remain spiritually rooted in Him.

    *1. The Conditions for Divine Blessings*

    a. Every creature of God enjoys the blessings of God in some shape and form. For example, the air we breathe is universal and the sunshine and the rain we enjoy are without discrimination though God has the power to do so if He wants. However, there are some blessings of God that are given to select few, in particular His children. They are multidimensional blessings including both physical, material, social and spiritual blessings, spanning through all human needs without exception. Receiving these blessings result into all round prosperity which is promised by God. *"Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth"* (3 John 2). Apostle Peter summed up all these blessings as things that pertain to life and godliness. *"According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises"* (1 Peter 1:3, 4a). These divinely provided blessings are even richer and deeper than what the Psalmist in the text was aware of.
    b. The psalmist begins by identifying what the blessed person does not do and what he does. He *"walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful"*. This describes progressive involvement with ungodliness. The blessed person carefully chooses his companions, conversations, character, contacts, connections and control. He is so much in love with the Word of God that he cannot stomach or endure anyone or anywhere the Word of God is being dishonoured. In an age where the demarcation between saints and sinners are being erased, he does not *"stand in the way of sinners"*. He separates himself from the worldly and sinful practices of sinners without being ashamed of standing for the truth and the right. His counsellors and guides in matters of conduct are not the ungodly, but godly people who take the Word of God and go to heaven very seriously.
    Positively, his delight is in the law of the LORD, and he meditates on it day and night.

    *Question*

    Based on the above, are you qualified for daily divine blessings?

    *2. The Clear Description of the Blessed*

    a. The description of a blessed man shows that it is pleasant and admirable to be a blessed man. Like a good tree bearing good fruits that are edible and profitable to man, the blessed man is not only blessed by God, he is also a blessing to others. As a good tree gives shade to people when the sun bites hard, the blessed person gives succour and shade to people when they are being bitten by the challenges of life. No wonder, the blessed person is compared to *“a tree planted by the rivers of water”*. The blessings of God are so real that he is never dried up. He remains fresh materially, spiritually and in all areas. Beyond that, he is *"planted by the rivers of water"* where the Word of God flows in his unceasing freshness.
    b. Such a person never runs out of grace, godliness and goodness. He *“bringeth forth his fruit in his season.”* His life produces visible evidence of God’s work. His leaves do not wither, indicating spiritual vitality even in difficult seasons. Furthermore, *“whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.”* He is never a failure in family, business and spiritual ministry because he allows God to always guide his actions, endeavours and always commit them into God’s hands. It does not mean freedom from trials, but it means that a life rooted in God ultimately bears the fruit and accomplishes the purposes God intends.
    A reservoir does not merely receive water; it stores it for continue usefulness. Likewise, the blessed believer receives divine grace and becomes a channel through which God’s goodness reaches others.

    *Question*

    Is my spiritual life deeply rooted enough in God’s Word to remain fruitful in every season? Am I a blessing to others?

    *3. Cursed Destination of the Barbaric*

    The wicked are described as *“chaff which the wind driveth away.”* Agricultural chaff consists of the dry, scaly husks and small pieces of straw separated from cereal grains during threshing. It is lightweight, dry, scaly and easily blown away by the wind. It has no economic value. It lacks appreciable weight. It is just good for fire else it will be a nuisance. The ungodly are compared to chaff because they don't add any value to achieving the purpose of God on earth. They are only good for hell fire. Their life is not weighty in character and conduct, but lives on and lives for vanities of life. Those who reject God and persist in ungodliness may appear successful for a season, but their destination is destruction.
    b. *"The ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous"*. Their apparent strength and conscience cannot withstand divine examination. In fact, the judgment would be so fierce that *"the earth and the heaven fled away"* from the presence of God (Revelation 20:11). *“The LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.”*

    *Question*

    Am I a chaff before God or wheat? Am I walking on the way of the righteous, or am I allowing the world to shape the direction of my life?

    *Prayer Points*

    1.Lord, deliver me from every ungodly association and influence that can hinder Your blessings in my life .
    2.Father, give me an increasing delight in Your Word and grace to meditate on it continually .
    3.Lord, make my life fruitful and a blessing to others in every season
    4.Father, preserve Your children from the way of the wicked and make our lives a reservoir and channel of divine blessings to others .

    *HYMN:* Is Your Life A Channel Of Blessings?

    *PATH TO BLESSING* 🫵🏽🏽‍🏽‍🏽🏽‍🏽🏽

    ```TEXT:PSALM 1:1-6```
    ```KEY VERSE:``` _*"Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful" (PSALM 1:1).*_

    *In 1955, a young man named Jim Elliott left behind the comforts of America to bring the gospel to the unreached Huaorani people of Ecuador. Many thought he was foolish for risking his life among a violent tribe, but Elliot believed in a greater purpose. Before his death at the hands of the very people he sought to reach, he wrote, "He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose." Jim Elliott chose the path of righteousness, dedicating his life to walking in God's ways. Though his earthly journey was cut short, his path to eternal impact and blessing in eternity remains.*

    *Our text contrasts two paths: the way of the righteous, leading to blessing and life, and the way of the wicked, leading to damnation and destruction. The Psalmist describes the difference between the righteous and the wicked. The righteous delights in God's law, avoiding ungodly influences and meditating on the Scripture day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which flourishes in every season. In contrast, the wicked are like chaff blown away by the wind; they are temporary and without a lasting purpose. The psalm ends with a clear truth: "For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish."*

    *Every day, we are faced with choices that determine which path we walk and what we will reap at the end. The world constantly offers distractions such as ungodly advice, sinful pleasures, and shortcuts to success. But true blessing comes from delighting in God's word, staying rooted in His truth, and avoiding the influences that pull us away from Him.*

    *Like Jim Elliot, those who walk in obedience may face hardship, but they will ultimately flourish in God's purpose. Their lives bear fruit, even after them; their faith remains firm, and they find true peace in Christ. In contrast, those who reject God's ways may seem successful for a time, but in the end, their path leads to emptiness and destruction. As believers, we must be careful enough to walk circumspectly in the truth revealed in God's word. The path to blessing requires commitment to God's word and a refusal to compromise with the world. We should, therefore, stay planted in Christ, who will ultimately make our lives flourish in time and eternity.*

    *A supplicant is someone who makes petition before God on behalf of others. Epaphras is one of the supplicants in the New Testament. Such a Christian is concerned about others who need God's intervention.*

    *As a child of God, we can follow the "GOM" pattern in our prayer - (God, Others, Me). Prayer is the best gift we can give to fellow believers. The love of Christ constrains us to pray for those who are sick, suffering, afflicted, or backslidden. We pray also for church leaders and the rulers in our nation.*

    *Like Epaphras, believers must pray for the new converts, revival, programmes, and projects in the church. We are to pray for our institutions, teachers, classmates, neighbours, parents, friends, and even foes.*

    *Through intercession, we can achieve much for God. Empathy will enable us to pray effectively for others. Let us bother about others. You are enjoined to "Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ" (Galatians 6:2). Bring solution to other believers' problems through your supplication. God's love constrains us to pray for others, like Epaphras did.*

    ```Key Verse:``` _*"Nevertheless the LORD thy God would not hearken unto Balaam; but the LORD thy God turned the curse into a blessing unto thee, because the LORD thy God loved thee" (Deuteronomy 23:5).*_
    God's love for His children is expressed in many ways. It is the love of God for us that makes Him to give His only begotten Son to save us from our sins, protect us from all evil, provide for our daily needs, heal us when we are sick, and to warn us not to be friends with evil people.
    God showed His love to the children of Israel by turning the curse of their enemies into a blessing, and by warning them not to make friends with those who planned to curse or harm them.
    God knew that these enemies will not change from their selfish and bitter acts toward the children of Israel. They will always want to hurt them. That is why He commanded them not to relate with these enemies.
    *God does not permit us to make friends with ungodly, immoral and wicked people. They will draw us back to sin. We are to pray for them and tell them of the love of Jesus so that they can repent, believe, and accept Jesus as their personal Lord and Saviour.*
    2. Morning Prayer for today.
    MP.i. Morning Prayer
    I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, [and] giving of thanks, be made for all men; ⏤ 1 Timothy 2:1
    Prayer is the key that unlocks all the storehouses of God’s infinite grace and power. ⏤ R.A. Torrey
    O God, You have taught us to offer supplications, prayers, and intercessions for all people. We humbly ask You to hear our prayers, which we offer to Your divine Majesty in the name of Jesus Christ.
    Remember in Your mercy all people whom You have made to dwell on the earth. Deliver them from the many evils and miseries that oppress them. Deliver them especially from idolatry, ignorance, superstition, error, unbelief, and the chains of sin. Send Your gospel to all nations until everyone has heard its joyful message. Bless all missionaries and organizations dedicated to spreading the gospel. Hasten the coming of Your kingdom among the nations, and bring all Your lost sheep into the fold of the Good Shepherd.
    Remember also, all Your people in Christian lands. You have purchased Your church with Your own blood. We ask You to bless all who call upon Your name in prayer. Fill Your church with more of Your life and Spirit. Equip Your ministers with all spiritual gifts and graces.
    Remember all who are in any trouble. Strengthen the weak and make them strong in spirit. Lift up those who have fallen. Support those who are discouraged and about to give up. Let a special blessing be upon Your children. They cannot find their way home on their own; You must show them the way. Grant that Your people may always keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace, to the glory of Your holy name. Amen.
Such a person never runs out of grace, godliness and goodness. He *“bringeth forth his fruit in his season.”* His life produces visible evidence of God’s work. His leaves do not wither, indicating spiritual vitality even in difficult seasons. Furthermore, *“whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.”* He is never a failure in family, business and spiritual ministry because he allows God to always guide his actions, endeavours and always commit them into God’s hands. It does not mean freedom from trials, but it means that a life rooted in God ultimately bears the fruit and accomplishes the purposes God intends. A reservoir does not merely receive water; it stores it for continue usefulness. Likewise, the blessed believer receives divine grace and becomes a channel through which God’s goodness reaches others. *Question* Is my spiritual life deeply rooted enough in God’s Word to remain fruitful in every season? Am I a blessing to others? *3. Cursed Destination of the Barbaric* The wicked are described as *“chaff which the wind driveth away.”* Agricultural chaff consists of the dry, scaly husks and small pieces of straw separated from cereal grains during threshing. It is lightweight, dry, scaly and easily blown away by the wind. It has no economic value. It lacks appreciable weight. It is just good for fire else it will be a nuisance. The ungodly are compared to chaff because they don't add any value to achieving the purpose of God on earth. They are only good for hell fire. Their life is not weighty in character and conduct, but lives on and lives for vanities of life. Those who reject God and persist in ungodliness may appear successful for a season, but their destination is destruction. b. *"The ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous"*. Their apparent strength and conscience cannot withstand divine examination. In fact, the judgment would be so fierce that *"the earth and the heaven fled away"* from the presence of God (Revelation 20:11). *“The LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.”* *Question* Am I a chaff before God or wheat? Am I walking on the way of the righteous, or am I allowing the world to shape the direction of my life? *Prayer Points* 1.Lord, deliver me from every ungodly association and influence that can hinder Your blessings in my life 🙏. 2.Father, give me an increasing delight in Your Word and grace to meditate on it continually 🙏. 3.Lord, make my life fruitful and a blessing to others in every season🙏 4.Father, preserve Your children from the way of the wicked and make our lives a reservoir and channel of divine blessings to others 🙏. *HYMN:* Is Your Life A Channel Of Blessings? *BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:* DANIEL 6-8. Many thought he was foolish for risking his life among a violent tribe, but Elliot believed in a greater purpose. Before his death at the hands of the very people he sought to reach, he wrote, "He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose." Jim Elliott chose the path of righteousness, dedicating his life to walking in God's ways. Though his earthly journey was cut short, his path to eternal impact and blessing in eternity remains.* *Our text contrasts two paths: the way of the righteous, leading to blessing and life, and the way of the wicked, leading to damnation and destruction. The Psalmist describes the difference between the righteous and the wicked. The righteous delights in God's law, avoiding ungodly influences and meditating on the Scripture day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which flourishes in every season. In contrast, the wicked are like chaff blown away by the wind; they are temporary and without a lasting purpose. The psalm ends with a clear truth: "For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish."* *Every day, we are faced with choices that determine which path we walk and what we will reap at the end. The world constantly offers distractions such as ungodly advice, sinful pleasures, and shortcuts to success. But true blessing comes from delighting in God's word, staying rooted in His truth, and avoiding the influences that pull us away from Him.* *Like Jim Elliot, those who walk in obedience may face hardship, but they will ultimately flourish in God's purpose. Their lives bear fruit, even after them; their faith remains firm, and they find true peace in Christ. In contrast, those who reject God's ways may seem successful for a time, but in the end, their path leads to emptiness and destruction. As believers, we must be careful enough to walk circumspectly in the truth revealed in God's word. The path to blessing requires commitment to God's word and a refusal to compromise with the world. We should, therefore, stay planted in Christ, who will ultimately make our lives flourish in time and eternity.* ✍🏽```THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:``` _*Your stand determines your walk. Prayer is the best gift we can give to fellow believers. The love of Christ constrains us to pray for those who are sick, suffering, afflicted, or backslidden. We pray also for church leaders and the rulers in our nation.* *Like Epaphras, believers must pray for the new converts, revival, programmes, and projects in the church. We are to pray for our institutions, teachers, classmates, neighbours, parents, friends, and even foes.* *Through intercession, we can achieve much for God. Empathy will enable us to pray effectively for others. Let us bother about others. You are enjoined to "Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ" (Galatians 6:2). It is the love of God for us that makes Him to give His only begotten Son to save us from our sins, protect us from all evil, provide for our daily needs, heal us when we are sick, and to warn us not to be friends with evil people. God showed His love to the children of Israel by turning the curse of their enemies into a blessing, and by warning them not to make friends with those who planned to curse or harm them. God knew that these enemies will not change from their selfish and bitter acts toward the children of Israel. They will always want to hurt them. That is why He commanded them not to relate with these enemies. *God does not permit us to make friends with ungodly, immoral and wicked people. They will draw us back to sin. We are to pray for them and tell them of the love of Jesus so that they can repent, believe, and accept Jesus as their personal Lord and Saviour.* 🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥 ```🅿️rayer:``` _*Lord, thank You for Your love and protection. Morning Prayer for today. MP.i. Morning Prayer I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, [and] giving of thanks, be made for all men; ⏤ 1 Timothy 2:1 Prayer is the key that unlocks all the storehouses of God’s infinite grace and power. ⏤ R.A. Torrey O God, You have taught us to offer supplications, prayers, and intercessions for all people. We humbly ask You to hear our prayers, which we offer to Your divine Majesty in the name of Jesus Christ. Remember in Your mercy all people whom You have made to dwell on the earth. Deliver them from the many evils and miseries that oppress them. Deliver them especially from idolatry, ignorance, superstition, error, unbelief, and the chains of sin. Send Your gospel to all nations until everyone has heard its joyful message. Bless all missionaries and organizations dedicated to spreading the gospel. Hasten the coming of Your kingdom among the nations, and bring all Your lost sheep into the fold of the Good Shepherd. Remember also, all Your people in Christian lands. You have purchased Your church with Your own blood. We ask You to bless all who call upon Your name in prayer. Fill Your church with more of Your life and Spirit. Equip Your ministers with all spiritual gifts and graces. Remember all who are in any trouble. Strengthen the weak and make them strong in spirit. Lift up those who have fallen. Support those who are discouraged and about to give up. Let a special blessing be upon Your children. They cannot find their way home on their own; You must show them the way. Grant that Your people may always keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace, to the glory of Your holy name.   • Shimoni NTP Mission | 10th–17th August 2026
    I am grateful to God for the opportunity to be part of the Shimoni NTP Mission.
    I went to Shimoni thinking I was mainly going to serve, but I came back realizing that God was also working on me.
    One of my biggest lessons was that mission is more than preaching. It is about understanding people, listening, serving, praying, and building genuine relationships. Through practical activities such as farming, community visits, and interactions with people from different backgrounds, I learned that service can become a doorway to relationships and opportunities to share Christ.
    God also challenged some of my assumptions about Muslim communities. I experienced people who were welcoming and hospitable, and I was reminded that relationship takes time, but relationship creates an opportunity to share the Gospel.
    John 10:16 especially spoke to me: “And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring…”
    I returned home with a greater burden for the underreached and unreached, but also with a personal challenge: I cannot wait to go somewhere far away before I begin living missionally.
    Mission begins where God has already placed me.
    Thank you to everyone who prayed, supported, and encouraged me throughout this journey.
    I have left Shimoni, but the mission continues.
  • **Why Church Planting in Bangladesh Is Urgent**
    Across Bangladesh, there are still countless villages and communities where people have never heard the Gospel clearly. Many places have no local church, no regular worship, and no spiritual community to nurture new believers.
    Church planting is not simply about constructing a building—it is about establishing a community of faith where people can encounter Christ, grow as disciples, pray together, and become a witness of God’s love in their own community. A healthy local church brings hope, strengthens families, guides children and young people, and creates lasting transformation.
    Jesus commanded us, **“Go and make disciples of all nations.”** (Matthew 28:19) One of the most effective ways to fulfill this mission is by planting churches. A local church raises indigenous leaders, disciples new believers, and continues the work of the Gospel from generation to generation.
    In Bangladesh, church planting is not merely a ministry strategy—it is a Gospel necessity. Every unreached village deserves a faithful witness. Every new believer deserves a spiritual family. Every community deserves the opportunity to hear the message of salvation through Jesus Christ.
    Let us pray for more laborers, more church planters, and more churches across Bangladesh until every community has access to the Gospel.
    **“The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.”** — Matthew 9:37
  • Adoniram Judson was a Missionary Fool
    Who of us today will dare to live a life like Adoniram Judson; committing to long and laborious years of labor to reap the unknown and untargeted fields of Burma (Myanmar)?
    Even William Carey advised Adoniram not to go to Burma; a hostile and utterly unreached place. But Adoniram went on anyway, in July of 1813.
    The Judson's labored through 108 degree heat, cholera, malaria, dysentery and other miseries that claimed Judson's two wives and 7 of his 13 children.
    Adoniram Judson was a gospel seed that died a thousand times giving life to a long and powerful advance of the gospel in Myanmar.
    Lord, would you compel a 1,000 gospel fools like Judson, to forsake comfort and affluence for the true wealth of winning souls from the uttermost regions for Christ?
    “We'll have all of eternity to celebrate our victories, but only a few hours before the final sunset to win them.”
  • Daily Devotion — July 18 | Acts 10:28 (NKJV)
    The Gospel for Everyone
    Peter learned that God's salvation was not limited to one group of people. Through Christ, the invitation of grace extends to every nation and background.
    The gospel unites people who would otherwise be separated by culture, race, status, or tradition. God's love reaches beyond human divisions.
    As followers of Christ, we are called to reflect His heart by welcoming others and sharing the good news without discrimination.
    The church should be a place where people experience the unity and love that Christ provides.
    Reflection Questions
    1. Do I treat all people with dignity and respect
    2. How can I better reflect God's love to others
    3. Am I willing to share Christ with everyone
    Prayer
    Lord God, thank You for extending Your grace to all people. Help me love others as You do and faithfully share the gospel with everyone. In Jesus name Amen.
    Practical Application
    ● Welcome someone who feels excluded
    ● Pray for unreached people groups
    ● Share the gospel without prejudice
    Takeaway Thought
    The gospel is God's invitation to all people.
  • Good morning, brethren.
    1. Morning devotion for today
    MD.i. MORNING TEA
    THE WORD FOR TODAY
    SATURDAY JULY 18, 2026.
    "LOOKING GOOD, OR DOING GOOD?"
    '…Jesus…went about doing good…’  Acts 10:38 NKJV
    THE BIBLE says, ‘God anointed Jesus…with the Holy Spirit and with power, Who went about doing good…’ When you’re led by God’s Spirit, your focus won’t be on looking good, but on doing good. You say, ‘But I’m so busy!’ Nobody was busier than Jesus, yet He always responded to those in need. In Luke chapter 10 He tells of a Jewish traveller who was attacked by a gang and left to die by the road. First a Levite, then a priest passed by. But each had important appointments to keep, so they didn’t stop. Then a Samaritan came along. Now, he had every reason to look the other way, because the Jews and the Samaritans were long-standing enemies. Instead, ‘…He…came where he was. And when he saw him, he had compassion’ (Luke 10:33 NKJV). Compassion will make you stop and rearrange your priorities. This Samaritan realised that where he was at that moment was more important than his next appointment. What would you have done that day? Do you think you’d have acted like him? How about when God tries to interrupt your inflexible, tightly-organised, written-in-concrete schedule and asks you to make time for someone who’s hurting? Are you willing to forgo your plans and do what He wants? If you’re too busy to reach out to those who are hurting, you’re too busy! You say, ‘But I’m shy around people.’ Then start with the people you know in your local church. ‘Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith’ (Galatians 6:10 NKJV).
    *CHRISTIAN PERSECUTION* 🫵🏽🏽‍🏽‍🏽🏽‍🏽
    ```TEXT:ACTS 8:1-4```

    ```KEY VERSE:``` _*"And Saul was consenting unto his death. And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles" (ACTS 8:1).*_
    *On its website, _Open Doors International,_ the Christian organisation, published its report on persecution of believers in 2024. The report showed that 4,476 Christians were murdered, 7,679 churches and Christian properties attacked and 4,744 Christians imprisoned across the globe. "In _Open Doors' World Watch List_ top 50 alone, 310 million Christians face very high or extreme levels of persecutions and discriminations for their faith", the report said. Christian persecution is real in our world today.*
    *The early Church also faced persecution as we read from today's Bible passage. The horrible death of Stephen by public stoning in Acts 7 triggered a wave of serious persecutions led by Saul. While the church was mourning over the death of the young preacher, Saul "...made havok of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed them to prison" (Acts 8:3). The believers had no choice but to scatter and flee Jerusalem to safety. The good news though is that the scattering helped them to take the gospel to new locations.*
    *Jesus warned the disciples to prepare for persecution in their journey of faith. He said, "These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended. They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service" (John 16:1, 2). Persecution is normal in the Christian race, but the grace of God is also available to see us through to the end.*
    *Since we may not be able to avoid persecution, what can we do? We must, like the early Church, develop effective survival strategies. These include prayerfulness, endurance, maintaining a joyful disposition and readiness to spread the gospel anywhere life takes us. We must also raise sound and committed disciples who are ready to labour anywhere and everywhere for the Master.*
    ✍🏽```THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:``` _*Sometimes, God uses persecution as a tool for gospel propagation.*_
    The rapture is the catching away of believers to meet Jesus in the air when the trumpet sounds. It will be a signal of the end of time. Only true friends of Jesus will hear this sound and go to meet Him in the clouds. Those who were friends of Jesus before they died will also hear the sound and rise from their graves to meet Jesus in the clouds. The marriage supper of the Lamb will take place there.
    Sinners and backsliders will remain on earth to suffer under the reign of the antichrist for seven (7) years. The torment, torture and agony will be much, it would be unbearable. You must endeavour to escape that terrible time because there will be no time for delay, because it is dangerous to do so. *How will you prepare for the rapture?*
    *- Know yourself as a sinner.*
    *- Repent of your sins, confess them to God.*
    *- Ask for forgiveness and cleansing through the blood of Jesus.*
    *- Invite Jesus into your life as Saviour and Lord.*
    *Begin to live for Christ by reading your Bible and praying every day. Tell others about Jesus. Live every day in holiness so that you will not miss the rapture.*
    *CHRISTIAN PERSECUTION: A BLESSING IN DISGUISE*
    *TEXT:* ACTS 8:1-4.
    1 And Saul was consenting unto his death. And at that time there was a great persecution against the Church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles.
    2 And devout men carried Stephen to his burial, and made great lamentation over him.
    3 As for Saul, he made havock of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed them to prison.
    4 Therefore they that were scattered abroad went every where preaching the word.
    *Timeless Truth:*_"These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world"_ (Acts 16:33).
    *INTRODUCTION*
    Have you ever experienced a serious persecution before? If no, then you are missing some divine blessings in your life. There is no genuine Christian, living the true Christian life that will not face some persecutions in some shape or form as a result of his faith or profession. Persecution has always been part of the Christian experience. Jesus warned His disciples that the world would hate them because it hated Him first (John 15:18–20). Yet God turns what the enemy intends for destruction into an instrument for purification, expansion and spiritual growth. The persecution that arose after Stephen's martyrdom scattered the believers, but it also spread the gospel beyond Jerusalem. Thus, persecution is never the end of God's work; it is often the beginning of a greater harvest.
    *1.Persecutions for Perfection*
    Persecution comes in different forms ranging from ridicule, deprivations, denials of rights, mockery, rejection and more violent despicable attacks from anybody for the sake of Christ. The Word of Christ on persecution is "when" and not "if", showing that every true believer will always experience it. The persecution He is referring to is as a result of living and standing for the truth. *"Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven"*. Those who never faced persecution or faced, but dodge it cannot claim to be righteous, but compromisers. They cannot claim to be Christlike, but betrayers of the cause of Christ. Such cannot enter heaven. Jesus further gave explanations on the nature of inescapable persecutions of christians and the blessings on them. *"Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake"*. What should be our attitude towards persecutions? Our attitude will bring out or foreclose the blessings. *"Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you"* (Matthew 5:10-12). Persecutions make the believer to be more mature in the faith, help him to separate the wheat from the chaff in his Christian journey and produce Christ's virtue of Christlikeness and Christian perfections. Though it may not be pleasant and the persecutors are deceived to believe that they are achieving their evil objectives, yet God deliberately allowed it for the good of the Christian. Afterall, Jesus also was persecuted. Persecution is the badge of unfeigned and uncompromising faith in Christ.
    b. *"And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem..."*
    The early Church had enjoyed remarkable growth, fellowship and miracles. However, God allowed persecution to refine His people and moved them beyond their comfort zone. Spiritual maturity is often forged in the furnace of affliction. Trials expose genuine faith, produce perseverance and deepen dependence upon God (James 1:2–4; Romans 5:3–5). Instead of destroying the Church, persecution strengthened it and fulfilled Christ's command to take the gospel beyond Jerusalem (Acts 1:8). Believers should not interpret persecution as God's abandonment, but as an opportunity for spiritual perfection and greater usefulness in His kingdom.
    *Question*
    How have life's difficulties refined your faith and drawn you closer to Christ rather than away from Him?
    *2.Persecutors without Prudence*
    a. The persecutors lack wisdom. If satanic hosts and his human agents that they used to cause persecutions were wise, they would not have crucified Jesus and neither would they have persecuted the saints. *"Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory"*. If the Satanic host had known that the death of Stephen would open the door for the spread of the gospel, they would not have kill Stephen. Persecutions are heralds of revivals. *"As for Saul, he made havoc of the church..."* Saul zealously persecuted Christians, believing he was serving God. Religious passion without divine truth can become destructive.
    b. While godly men buried Stephen with honour, Saul violently entered homes, arrested believers and committed them to prison. His actions remind us that ignorance of God's will, even when clothed in sincerity, can lead to cruelty and injustice.
    Persecutors often fail to realize that they are resisting God's purposes. Yet God's grace is so abundant that even Saul, the chief persecutor, later became Paul, the great apostle of Christ. This demonstrates that no enemy is beyond God's transforming power. A persecutor is a potential convert when the persecuted learn to pray, praise and practice true Christianity in the midst of persecutions.
    *Question*
    Are your convictions producing Christlike compassion or do they encourage harshness and intolerance toward others?
    *3.Preaching during Persecutions*
    a. The disciples, including the Apostles, were satisfied with their comfort zone and did not see the need to take the gospel to unreached places. The Lord allowed the persecution to awaken them to His plan and purpose for them which is preaching the gospel. God at times allows persecutions to direct the believer to refocus on His divine purpose for them. *"Therefore they that were scattered abroad went everywhere preaching the word."* Who scattered them- God or Satan? The scattered believers did not retreat into silence or despair. At times the ignorance of believers makes them blaming Satan when it is God that is actually at work. They, instead, wherever they went, they proclaimed the gospel. Their circumstances changed, but their mission did not. Persecution became the vehicle through which Christianity spread into new territories.
    b. Faithful believers do not wait for favourable conditions before serving God. Whether in peace or adversity, they remain committed to proclaiming Christ. Difficult seasons often create the greatest opportunities for the gospel to shine.
    *Question*
    Do challenges discourage you from witnessing for Christ or do they motivate you to trust Him and proclaim His truth more boldly?
    *Prayer Points*
    1.Father, grant me the grace to remain faithful and steadfast whenever I face persecution for Christ's sake .
    2.Lord, use every trial in my life to perfect my faith, strengthen my character and increase my usefulness in Your kingdom .
    3.Lord, fill me with boldness to preach Your Word faithfully in every circumstance, regardless of hardship or persecution .
    5.Father, turn every opposition against the gospel into an opportunity for greater evangelism and revival
    2. Morning Prayer for today.
    MP.i. Morning Prayer
    Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. ⏤ James 1:17
    In prayer, it is better to have a heart without words than words without a heart. ⏤ John Bunyan
    Our Father, breathe on us and give us a morning blessing. We thank You for keeping us through the night. We thank You for the blessings that came to us even while we slept. As a new day has dawned, may new divine light and peace pour into our lives. Fill our path with gladness. We ask You to provide our daily bread today. We don’t ask for luxury—just for what we need. May Your blessing be on everything we receive. We ask for the strength to do our work so we can earn the food we need. Open our eyes so we can see You as the Giver of all the good things we enjoy. Sometimes we forget that these blessings come from Your hand. We think we’ve gotten them by our own efforts. Show us that every good and perfect gift comes from You, and give us grateful hearts.
    We want to live cheerfully today. Sometimes we complain and grumble about the little trials that come our way. Forgive us for all our complaining and give us hearts that are always thankful. You’ve promised that You work all things together for good for those who love You. Help us believe this promise, and when we face trials and losses, help us still rejoice, knowing that Your hand will bring good out of every situation. Help us trust You in all things, laying our cares in Your hands and leaving them there without anxiety.
    You’ve promised to be with us always. Fulfill that promise for us today. We can’t go out into this new day without Your presence. We ask You to walk beside us, giving us Your protection, guidance, and help. We’ve never traveled this path before, and we can’t find the way on our own. We ask all this in Jesus’ precious name. Amen.
    Good morning, brethren. 1. Morning devotion for today MD.i. 😀🌺🌹🎁🎀💝 MORNING TEA THE WORD FOR TODAY SATURDAY JULY 18, 2026. "LOOKING GOOD, OR DOING GOOD?" '…Jesus…went about doing good…’  Acts 10:38 NKJV THE BIBLE says, ‘God anointed Jesus…with the Holy Spirit and with power, Who went about doing good…’ When you’re led by God’s Spirit, your focus won’t be on looking good, but on doing good. You say, ‘But I’m so busy!’ Nobody was busier than Jesus, yet He always responded to those in need. In Luke chapter 10 He tells of a Jewish traveller who was attacked by a gang and left to die by the road. First a Levite, then a priest passed by. But each had important appointments to keep, so they didn’t stop. Then a Samaritan came along. Now, he had every reason to look the other way, because the Jews and the Samaritans were long-standing enemies. Instead, ‘…He…came where he was. And when he saw him, he had compassion’ (Luke 10:33 NKJV). Compassion will make you stop and rearrange your priorities. This Samaritan realised that where he was at that moment was more important than his next appointment. What would you have done that day? Do you think you’d have acted like him? How about when God tries to interrupt your inflexible, tightly-organised, written-in-concrete schedule and asks you to make time for someone who’s hurting? Are you willing to forgo your plans and do what He wants? If you’re too busy to reach out to those who are hurting, you’re too busy! You say, ‘But I’m shy around people.’ Then start with the people you know in your local church. ‘Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith’ (Galatians 6:10 NKJV). And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles" (ACTS 8:1).*_ *On its website, _Open Doors International,_ the Christian organisation, published its report on persecution of believers in 2024. The report showed that 4,476 Christians were murdered, 7,679 churches and Christian properties attacked and 4,744 Christians imprisoned across the globe. "In _Open Doors' World Watch List_ top 50 alone, 310 million Christians face very high or extreme levels of persecutions and discriminations for their faith", the report said. Christian persecution is real in our world today.* *The early Church also faced persecution as we read from today's Bible passage. The horrible death of Stephen by public stoning in Acts 7 triggered a wave of serious persecutions led by Saul. While the church was mourning over the death of the young preacher, Saul "...made havok of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed them to prison" (Acts 8:3). The believers had no choice but to scatter and flee Jerusalem to safety. The good news though is that the scattering helped them to take the gospel to new locations.* *Jesus warned the disciples to prepare for persecution in their journey of faith. He said, "These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended. They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service" (John 16:1, 2). Persecution is normal in the Christian race, but the grace of God is also available to see us through to the end.* *Since we may not be able to avoid persecution, what can we do? We must, like the early Church, develop effective survival strategies. These include prayerfulness, endurance, maintaining a joyful disposition and readiness to spread the gospel anywhere life takes us. We must also raise sound and committed disciples who are ready to labour anywhere and everywhere for the Master.* ✍🏽```THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:``` _*Sometimes, God uses persecution as a tool for gospel propagation.*_ 📜📜```THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:``` *EXODUS 5-7*📜📜 Christian Persecution https://dailymanna.app// *RECOMMENDED GOSPEL HYMNS AND SONGS - GHS 78: FAITH OF OUR FATHERS; GHS 91: WHERE HE LEADS ME; GHS 55: ANYWHERE WITH JESUS; AND GHS 88: WHEREVER HE LEADS I'LL GO* *TXD [THEXDEVOTIONALS] on Twitter* *#DailyManna18thJuly2026* *#GCK* *#WorshipNuggets* *#BibleNuggets* *#LeadershipNuggets* *#RevivalNuggets* *#CrusadeNuggets* https://www.youtube.com/[THEXDEVOTIONALS] [17/07, 7:41 pm] Pastor Attah: ```DEEPER CHRISTIAN LIFE MINISTRY``` _*HIGHER EVERYD🅰️Y: (A DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE FOR YOUTHS)*_ ✍🏽👩🏻‍💼🌻 🍇🙏🏽🛰🚀🔬📚 ```SATURDAY 18TH JULY, 2026``` *RENEWING YOUR STRENGTH* 🎚️📓📖🫵🏽🙋🏽‍♂️🙋🏽‍♀️🧎🏽🧎🏽‍♀️💪🏽🦅🗣️🙏🏽🙌🏽 📜📜```TEXT:ISAIAH 40:28-31```📜📜 📖``` MEMORY VERSE:``` _*"But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint" (ISAIAH 40:31).*_ *Strength renewal in our text is predicated on waiting upon the Lord. Morning Prayer Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. ⏤ James 1:17 In prayer, it is better to have a heart without words than words without a heart. ⏤ John Bunyan Our Father, breathe on us and give us a morning blessing. We thank You for keeping us through the night. We thank You for the blessings that came to us even while we slept. As a new day has dawned, may new divine light and peace pour into our lives. Fill our path with gladness. We ask You to provide our daily bread today. We don’t ask for luxury—just for what we need. May Your blessing be on everything we receive. We ask for the strength to do our work so we can earn the food we need. Open our eyes so we can see You as the Giver of all the good things we enjoy. Sometimes we forget that these blessings come from Your hand. We think we’ve gotten them by our own efforts. Show us that every good and perfect gift comes from You, and give us grateful hearts. We want to live cheerfully today. Sometimes we complain and grumble about the little trials that come our way. Forgive us for all our complaining and give us hearts that are always thankful. You’ve promised that You work all things together for good for those who love You. Help us believe this promise, and when we face trials and losses, help us still rejoice, knowing that Your hand will bring good out of every situation. Help us trust You in all things, laying our cares in Your hands and leaving them there without anxiety. You’ve promised to be with us always. Fulfill that promise for us today. We can’t go out into this new day without Your presence. We ask You to walk beside us, giving us Your protection, guidance, and help. We’ve never traveled this path before, and we can’t find the way on our own. We ask all this in Jesus’ precious name. Amen. https://www.youdevotion.com/daily-prayer/miller/13/morning #taptapstudio #youdevotion.
