You’re Always on His Mind Psalms 115:12 YHWH hath been mindful of us: he will bless us; he will bless the house of Israel; he will bless the house of Aaron. No one cares about your life more than YHWH does. In fact, he cares about your life more than you do. There’s an old Willie Nelson song, “You Were Always on My Mind.” But the idea behind that song just isn’t true. No matter how much you love someone, they can’t be on your mind all the time. But I want to tell you this: You are always on YHWH’s mind. He is never not thinking about you. He’s thinking about you right now. The Scriptures teach this over and over. Psalms 115:12 YHWH hath been mindful of us: he will bless us; he will bless the house of Israel; he will bless the house of Aaron. And 1 Peter 5:7 says… 1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. Whatever concerns you concerns YHWH - all the things you’re worried about or afraid about. There is nothing in your life you’re concerned about that YHWH isn’t concerned about, because you are always on his mind. Because you’re always on YHWH’s mind, he’s always looking out for you. And that means you can always trust his plan for your life. Before Messiah was born, Mary accepted YHWH’s destiny for her life because she knew YHWH was always looking out for her. After the angel told her that YHWH had chosen her as the mother of his Son, she said the following… Luke 1:48 For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed. What does “mindful” mean? That means YHWH is alert. He’s attentive. He’s aware. He’s focused. He’s paying attention. When nobody else is paying attention to you, YHWH’s paying attention to you. He notices everything. In fact, Messiah said this about your life… Matthew 10:29-30 Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. I like the cross reference for that scripture… Luke 12:6-7 Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before YHWH? But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows. You don’t know the number of hairs on your head—but YHWH does. That’s how much attention he pays to your life! YHWH’s mindfulness—his attention, his concern—made Mary trust YHWH with her destiny. Will you trust him with your destiny too? He cared for the disciples when the where in the boat and it was about to sink… Mark 4:38-39 And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Rabbi, carest thou not that we perish? And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. Psalms 8:4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? Job 7:17 What is man, that thou shouldest magnify him? and that thou shouldest set thine heart upon him? Psalms 144:3 YHWH, what is man, that thou takest knowledge of him! or the son of man, that thou makest account of him! (9) If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; (10) Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me. (11) If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me. (12) Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee. Aug 25, 2026 11:00 pm God Listens to Your Prayers God has surely listened and has heard my prayer. —Psalm 66:19 It was a Saturday afternoon. I was chatting with a neighbor who was out for a walk with her daughter. She said something to the child, who put her hands over her ears. The lady said, “That’s what she does when she doesn’t want to hear what I’m saying.” It was a Sunday morning. I saw a lady approach the teacher as he gathered his class notes. He leaned in toward her, turned his head slightly (favoring his good ear, I’m guessing), and listened intently. She had his full attention. When you pray, God doesn’t cover his ears. He leans in and listens. He wants to hear what you have to say. “The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer” (1 Pt 3:12). Talk to Him. 📘 Daily Devotion — August 22 | Acts 20:9 (NKJV) 💯 Stay Spiritually Alert Acts 20 records a remarkable event during Paul's visit to Troas. As Paul taught late into the night, a young man named Eutychus fell asleep while sitting in a window. He fell from the third story and died. Through God's miraculous power, Paul embraced him, and the young man was restored to life, bringing great comfort and encouragement to everyone present. While this passage highlights God's miraculous power, it also serves as a reminder of the importance of remaining spiritually alert. Just as physical weariness affected Eutychus, believers must guard against spiritual complacency that can cause us to drift from close fellowship with God. For believers today, God calls us to remain attentive to His Word and active in our relationship with Him. Through regular prayer, Bible study, and fellowship with other believers, our faith is strengthened, and we are prepared to faithfully follow Christ each day. Reflection Questions 1. A Nugget of Truth. The most life-changing decisions don't always begin with a major event. Sometimes they start with a whisper, a seemingly harmless idea, or a voice presenting error as the best path. This is what happened to Eve in the Garden of Eden. The serpent didn't resort to force or reveal its true intentions from the start. It approached with carefully chosen words, sowing doubt about what God had said. Little by little, deception made what was forbidden seem desirable. What began as a conversation ended up becoming a decision that changed the course of human history. The story of Eve reminds us that deception rarely presents itself openly. It often takes on a convincing appearance, offering paths that seem good while concealing consequences that aren't immediately apparent. That's why the Bible emphasizes the importance of remaining attentive to God's truth, which stands firm above any voice that tries to distort it. Eve's story remains an invitation to value the wisdom that comes from the Lord and to recognize that His Word continues to be a sure guide in a world where many ideas seek to take the place of truth. "And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes... she took of its fruit and ate." — Genesis 3:6 Eve's story reminds us that discernment begins when God's truth stands above any appearance.

The Wisdom of God Beyond King Ahasuerus' Kingship Esther chapter 10 closes with what seems like an ordinary political report, yet it quietly reveals the wisdom and providence of God after the great deliverance of His people. King Ahasuerus was not consumed by the chaos that had unfolded throughout his kingdom. He did not allow the presence of death, political tension, or even the victory of Queen Esther's people to keep him from fulfilling his responsibility as king. Instead, Scripture records that he continued ordering the affairs of his kingdom. He laid a tribute upon the land and the islands of the sea (Esther 10:1). While many lives had been lost during the conflict, the kingdom still needed stability. Taxes supported the administration, defense, and welfare of the empire so that the nation would not collapse into disorder. Wise leadership does not ignore tragedy but restores order after it. God also positioned Mordecai in a place of authority. His promotion was not merely a reward for faithfulness but a provision for the people. Mordecai was described as great among the Jews, accepted by his brethren, seeking the wealth of his people, and speaking peace to all his descendants (Esther 10:3). He possessed a heart that cared for people, attentive ears that understood what was happening around him, and wisdom to act on matters that truly affected his community. Interestingly, Queen Esther quietly fades into the background in this final chapter. Her silence does not diminish her importance. Rather, it suggests that she had fulfilled the specific assignment God had entrusted to her. After risking her life, revealing her identity, and interceding for her people, she now enjoys the peace that follows faithful obedience. God often calls His servants to step forward for a season and then quietly step back once His purpose has been accomplished. This points us to the Lord Jesus Christ. Unlike earthly rulers who merely restore temporary order, Christ establishes an everlasting Kingdom. He not only rescued His people from death but secured eternal salvation through His cross and resurrection. Today, He reigns at the Father's right hand, continually interceding for His people until He returns. His Kingdom is marked by righteousness, peace, and justice that will never end. As believers awaiting Christ's return: - Remain faithful in the responsibilities God has given you, even after seasons of difficulty. - Seek the welfare of others rather than personal recognition, following Mordecai's example. - Accept that some assignments are seasonal. Like Esther, be willing to step forward when God calls and step back when your task is complete. - Trust that God continues ordering history even when His work appears quiet. His providence never stops. "For the kingdom is the LORD'S: and he is the governor among the nations." (Psalm 22:28) May we faithfully serve our King until the day the Lord Jesus Christ returns to establish His perfect and eternal Kingdom.

Lord, let Your light shine through my words and actions today. Keep me humble, make me attentive to those who need kindness, and may everything good in me lead others toward You. Amen.

“A heart filled with God’s Word will not be easily filled with the noise of the world.” Our heart is never an empty space. It will always listen to something, receive something, and follow something. The question is—who is filling that space? God’s Word? Or the noise of the world? Today, the world is constantly speaking to us—through people’s opinions, fear, comparison, desires, social pressures, and many other voices that try to fill our thoughts. But God’s Word does not speak only to our ears; it speaks deep into our hearts. Psalm 119:11 — “I have hidden Your word in my heart.” Simply reading God’s Word is not enough; we must hide it in our hearts. Because whatever we store most deeply in our hearts will eventually shape our thoughts, influence our decisions, and determine the direction of our lives. When a room is filled with light, we do not have to fight the darkness to drive it out. When the light comes, the darkness simply disappears. In the same way, when our hearts are filled with God’s Word, even though the noise of the world may surround us, it cannot easily control our lives. The noise of the world changes every day, but God’s Word never changes. Therefore, we must become people whose hearts are more attentive to what God says than to what the world says. Hepsi Sam ✍️
