• I SURVIVED DOMESTIC VIOLENCE.

Those words carry a story most people will never fully understand.

    I survived the fear.
    I survived the control.
    I survived the pain.
I survived the days I wondered if I would ever be free.

    BUT I’M STILL HERE.

Domestic violence tried to silence me, but today I HAVE A VOICE. And I’ll use that voice for every survivor who is still finding the courage to use theirs.

  • JESUS IS THE ANCHOR OF MY SOUL!

    Life can shake me.
    Storms can surround me.
    People can disappoint me.
    Circumstances can change overnight…

    But JESUS DOES NOT CHANGE.

When I feel like I’m drifting, He holds me.
When the waves get rough, He steadies me.
When fear says, “You’re going under,” my faith says, “MY ANCHOR STILL HOLDS!”

“We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.” — Hebrews 6:19

I don't know what storm you're facing today, but don't let go of the One who is holding onto YOU.

  • THE POWER OF THE TONGUE

Speak Life • Guard Your Words

    ANCHOR SCRIPTURE

Proverbs 21:23 (KJV) “Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles.”

    1. WORDS HAVE POWER

Your words can build or destroy, encourage or hurt, heal or discourage.

    Think before you speak.

    2. GUARD YOUR MOUTH

Avoid: Gossip • Lies • Insults • Anger • Negative declarations

Proverbs 18:21 (KJV) “Death and life are in the power of the tongue...”

    3. SPEAK TO BUILD

Ephesians 4:29 (KJV) “...that which is good to the use of edifying...”

    Before you speak, ask:

Is it true? Is it necessary? Will it build?

    4. CONTROL YOUR TONGUE

    When angry—pause.
When hurt—don't speak from the wound.
    When blessed—give thanks.

    5. SPEAK FAITH, NOT DEFEAT

    Don't keep saying:
    “I can't.” “I'm finished.”

    Say:

    “God is my strength.”
    “I will not give up."
    “God is with me.”

Faith-filled words don't deny reality; they refuse to surrender to defeat.

    KEY LESSON

    1. Think before speaking.
    2. Guard your tongue.
    3. Speak truth.
    4. Build others.
    5. Control your anger.
    6. Speak life.

    FINAL CHARGE

Your tongue is small, but its impact is great.

Don't use your mouth to destroy what you are praying for.

    Speak wisely.
    Speak graciously.
    Speak life.

    PRAYER

Father, help me to control my tongue and use my words wisely. Let my words bring encouragement, healing and hope. Keep me from destructive speech, and let everything I say honour You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

  • Monday Encouragement — Our Sovereign God Still Reigns

Blessings, dear brothers and sisters in Christ.

As we begin another week, the condition of our world has not suddenly changed. Wars and rumors of wars continue, nations struggle with uncertainty, economies create anxiety, and political leaders offer countless plans and promises for solving the problems confronting humanity.

Yet as followers of Jesus Christ, we must continually remind ourselves of one unchanging truth:

Our sovereign God is still upon His throne.

Our hope must never rest upon presidents, prime ministers, governments, political parties, military strength, or human wisdom. God may certainly use leaders and nations to accomplish His purposes, but Scripture reminds us that ultimately He alone rules over the affairs of mankind.

“For the kingdom is the LORD’S: and he is the governor among the nations.” — Psalm 22:28

Therefore, we should not allow every headline or political development to control our peace. Instead, Scripture commands us to pray for those in authority. We pray that God will grant them wisdom, restrain evil, protect the innocent, and accomplish His sovereign purposes through them—even when they themselves may not recognize His hand.

“I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority…” — 1 Timothy 2:1–2

There is an important difference between being informed about the world and being consumed by it.

We should care deeply about suffering, injustice, war, poverty, and the difficulties facing our neighbors. But we must never carry these burdens as though the future depended entirely upon human beings.

Instead, take them to the throne of grace.

    Pray for our nation.

Pray for the nations of the world.

    Pray for those in authority.

    Pray for peace.

    Pray for the persecuted Church.

Pray that doors will continue opening for the Gospel.

And above all, pray that men and women everywhere will repent of their sins and turn to Jesus Christ.

Whatever happens this week, remember: God has not surrendered His authority. Christ is still Lord. His Word remains true. His purposes cannot be defeated.

Let us therefore begin this week not with fear, but with prayer; not trusting in human power, but resting confidently in our sovereign God.

“Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.” — Psalm 46:10

May the Lord keep our eyes fixed upon Christ and make us faithful witnesses of His Gospel in an anxious and troubled world.

Serving Christ Together for His Glory Alone.

    Soli Deo Gloria.

  • Paul instructed believers in Jesus to live a faithful and fruitful “life worthy of the Lord and [to] please him in every way” (Colossians 1:10). Using a metaphor of replacing old clothes with new, he commands us to “put to death” our worldly, sinful habits (3:5-9) and adorn Christlike virtues (vv. 10-15). Paul singled out the importance of not engaging in harmful speech—“slander,” “filthy language,” and “lie[s]” (vv. 8-9). Truthfulness is essential for believers, for Christ is “the truth” (John 14:6). Elaborating in another letter, the apostle tells us to “stop telling lies [and] tell our neighbors the truth . . . . Let everything [we] say be good and helpful, so that [our] words will be an encouragement to those who hear them” (Ephesians 4:25, 29 nlt). When we “[speak] the truth in love” (v. 15), we bless others. And we’ll “[grow] in every way more and more like Christ” (v. 15 nlt).
