Going to church does not automatically make you spiritually mature.

Yes, you heard me.

You can attend church every Sunday and still be far from God.

You can sit in the front row, carry your Bible, sing every worship song, shout “Amen!” to every prayer, and still have a heart that has not truly surrendered to God.

Church attendance is good. But church attendance alone is not spiritual maturity.

Imagine someone who goes to the gym every single day.

They wear gym clothes.
They take pictures in the gym.
They know the names of all the machines.
They even tell people, “I am always at the gym.”

But they never exercise.

Will their body change? No.

They were physically present, but they were not participating.

That is how some people are spiritually.

They are always in church… But they don’t pray.

They hear the Word… But they don’t obey it.

They sing about forgiveness… But they refuse to forgive.

They preach about love… But they hate people.

They shout about holiness… But secretly live a completely different life.

They know Bible verses… But they don’t know the God behind the verses.

And this is where we need to be brutally honest with ourselves.

You can be a church member and still be spiritually immature.

You can know the language of Christianity without carrying the character of Christ.

You can know when to say “Praise the Lord” while your heart is full of pride, bitterness, lust, jealousy, unforgiveness and selfishness.

And sometimes, the most dangerous person is not the person who knows nothing about God… It is the person who knows the Word, hears the Word, teaches the Word, but refuses to live the Word.

Because knowledge without obedience can become self-deception.

Spiritual maturity is not measured by how many years you have been going to church. It is seen in how you behave when nobody is watching.

Can you control yourself when temptation comes?

Can you forgive when you have been deeply hurt?

Can you walk away from sin even when nobody would ever know?

Can you say “no” to something you desperately want because you know God is saying no?

Can you love people who cannot do anything for you?

Can you admit when you are wrong?

Can you humble yourself?

Can you obey God even when obedience is painful?

That is where spiritual maturity begins.

Because Christianity is not just about being found in church. It is about allowing Christ to be found in you.

And maybe this is the question we need to stop asking: “Did I go to church today?”

And start asking: “Did I become more like Christ today?”

Because one day, God will not be impressed by the number of Sundays you occupied a church seat.

He will look at the life you lived after you left that seat.

So please… Don’t just be a regular churchgoer. Be a growing Christian.

Don’t just hear the Word. Live it.

Don’t just carry the Bible. Let the Bible change you.

Because the greatest evidence that you have been with God is not how loudly you worship in public… It is how differently you live when nobody is watching.

I am Anthony Chukwuebuka - THE BOO OF THE BOOLESS; Yes, you can spend your whole life sitting in God’s house and still never allow God to build His house inside your heart.

Think about that.

Our hero makes a cup of Turkish coffee, gets his pack of cigarettes, and goes into his room, responding to some emails and messages, then goes to exercise in his home gym; the workout is the same with dumbbells, sometimes light barbell deadlifts, and simple moves with weights.
He posts the workout live on YouTube; he has a YouTube channel, even though he does not know why he cares, but it gives him something to do when there is no work; it was a Monday; that's when he goes to church for bible study and a family prayer meeting.

Being a Coptic Orthodox Christian is different; he loves the church, but he is always uneasy and confused and does not know where he stands about his faith; he believes in the creed.

He was born on 9/9/1986; now he is 39 years old, has a lot more wisdom and knowledge about life and work, and he tries to follow Christ, but he always feels like he is not doing enough; being with mental illness determines what he can and cannot do, although he may pass as totally normal.

It goes into his head: what is normal, who defines it, or how being normal can be defined; he is like 60% analytical, and the rest is just total and utterly unrealistic “he is out of his mind in the remaining 40%.”

He comes back from church, takes his medication, and goes to sleep. He dreams of his father; they are having a conversation. Before he gets up, he tells his father I will talk to you when I get up, that is weird.

His father passed away like 10 years ago, and before that he had progressive supranuclear palsy and became paralyzed for the last 10 years of his life.

This is the way with dreams, unrealistic and never complete, but sometimes his thinking is more unrealistic than his dreams.
But if you ask him what his dreams are, he will not be able to answer; this is a question that he never had an answer to.

Others dream of fame and fortune, but he thinks being unknown is amazing. Money for what? All lives start the same and end the same; money can buy luxuries that are unessential, and the most expensive foods, which go down the same.


The world is fascinated with Alion Musk, President Trump and Mohamed Slah, without noticing the sacrifices they had to make, to live for their work and it only, they may look happy, they do what they love so they are happy, so do the work that makes you happy, but life and work is not that simple, young adults get married and within after 9 months their first born, they are not ready, but it is dictated by the community they live in, and it is a disaster not to have kids after 2 years of marriage, that is if the relationship happens in the context of marriage.

This is thought that passed through his head, he realizes that he does not conform with his community and church, he grew up in a mix of ideas and beliefs, adding to that the tragedies that happened in his life, these morphed the person he is now, he believes in Christ, he loves others as he loves himself, but he knows that not one denomination has a monopoly on Christianity and that only God knows the hearts of his creation.

But when he enters his church, he feels that God is truly present with him. When he listens to Christian songs that praise and glorify God, his spirit rejoices, and he feels a deep sense of peace and closeness to Him. He is also inspired by the way Catholics serve their communities, helping those in need and putting their faith into action through love, compassion, and service.

But all these thoughts just hit a wall when he tries to articulate them to someone, specially to Orthodox and Catholics, he sees great understanding in Evangelicals.

He realizes that those thoughts pop up because he has not gotten a project in a long time, but that is freelancing for you, he was unable to hold a steady paying job for more than 5 days, most of those was call center jobs, others were busboy jobs, he did not understand life as he does now.

He works from home, but like all freelance jobs there is no steady salary, that is a problem for when and if the miracle happens and he finds a wife, it is not only the age and work it is also the medication he must take.

May be deep down he think he does not deserve love; he cannot imagine his life with a wife and kids, how can he have children to face this life in this world, how can he repeat the cycle, and of course his feelings of impending doom and end, he is fascinated with Bible prophesy and the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Today he has a confession, he goes in and tries his best, he confesses his hesitation in the Orthodox faith, and that he cannot fast and be ready for communion, with his condition and all.

He is sure of one thing that gods answer his prayers all of them, something happens and he remembers he prayed for that a long time ago, some answers are in the way.

The medication timing can make or break the patient’s life, taking a sedating medication in the morning is very counterproductive, and if psychiatrists have their way all patients will be walking zombies, he sees this happens.

Talking about the hospital, anyone how goes there may see it as a horrible place, he sees it as therapeutic, when you see people who can’t walk or unable to take care of their basic needs you really thank God for everything you can do and have.

He sometimes thinks of his father and the cross he caried, to be totally paralyzed for 9 years, unable to speak, unable to move, unable to eat sold food, his father was a good man, he has his downfalls, but he had a good heart.

Our hero remembers his first day in university, he was young and outright weird, with his father in this condition, he was unable to adapt, this is when his illness started, he tried his best to study but after his father passed away, he left this university in his third year.

At the beginning of his healing journey his psychologist and mother were trying to push him to have a social life, like going to church meetings and university and other social events, she is a virtuous woman but narrowminded.

I haven’t been on here for a while. I didn’t know if anyone was interested in my music or my fitness journey. Both hobbies i have dedicated to the Lord.

A couple of you asked about my fitness regime. I workout in my home gym six days a week. I do stretches every morning to maintain flexibility. Three days I lift weights and one day I lift heavy weights. If you wanna know more about my routine, you can message me directly.

Let's talk about it.
“The strongest men are not found in the gym. They are found on their knees in the presence of God.”

This reminds us that physical strength has value, but spiritual strength is far greater. The world admires muscles, power, and outward appearance, but God looks upon the heart.

The Bible says:

“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” — Isaiah 40:31 KJV

A man may be strong enough to lift heavy weights, yet still be weak against temptation, fear, anger, pride, or discouragement. True strength is not merely the power of the body, but the power to trust God, obey His Word, and endure trials by faith.

King David understood where his strength came from:

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” — Psalm 46:1 KJV

Jesus Himself, though the Son of God, often withdrew to pray. Before facing the cross, He bowed in submission to the Father's will. If Christ sought strength through prayer, how much more do we need the presence of God?

The apostle Paul testified:

“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness... for when I am weak, then am I strong.” — 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 KJV

A strong man is not one who never cries, never struggles, or never kneels. A strong man is one who humbles himself before God, confesses his need, and depends upon the Lord.

“Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.” — James 4:10 KJV

Physical exercise profits a little, but godliness profits for eternity:

“For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.” — 1 Timothy 4:8 KJV

The greatest battles are not won in the gym but in the prayer closet. The strongest men are those who know how to bow before God, because a man who kneels before the Lord can stand before anything the world brings against him. Strength begins
when dependence upon self ends and dependence upon Christ begins.

“Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.” — 1 Corinthians 16:13 KJV

POWER OF FASTING.
Often recommend to people who are seeking a healing from the Lord that they fast before they come to our healing services. Those who heed this advice often receive a supernatural healing from the Lord very quickly. I tell people, “If your loved one comes to services, have them fast
beforehand. Ask them to drink fruit or vegetable juices, or to get by on
salad.” The observation of some kind of fast is important because it shows a desperation and determination to “touch the Lord,” who alone is the source of all healing. Demons cannot stay around too long when a person fasts, because fasting unto God creates a totally different atmosphere that welcomes the holy and repels the unholy. That is why demonic spirits get
very uncomfortable around a person who fasts.

Any pastor or minister who is in a healing and deliverance ministry of any kind should make fasting part of his regular lifestyle. It is the spiritual equivalent of an athlete working out at the gym. As you fast and seek God’s face, He will begin to plant an authority in you born out of intimacy with Him that the demons will recognize and fear.

I remember receiving a phone call in 1973 from two pastors who said,
“Brother Mahesh, we were praying for a man who is a homosexual and suddenly a demon began talking through him! We are afraid.” I said, “Well, just cast the demon out of him,” but again they told me that they were afraid. “But you are pastors,” I said. The men persisted, saying, “Please,come help us,” and finally I agreed to go.
I drove to their location and opened the front door to the house and found them hiding in the broom closet! When I said, “What are you doing
here?” they motioned toward another part of the house and said, “ He’s out there”
I had been fasting, and I went into the room where this man was waiting. The man had been a homosexual for 18 years, and when I entered the room, he was standing there as if waiting for a chance to intimidate again. I could see that the demon had come to the surface. He was literally staring out of the man. You could see it because the man’s whole countenance had been transformed into a mask of evil. He saw me and said in an incredibly evil tone, “Oh, another man. Come in, I’d like to have fellowship with you.” Now it was my turn to do the talking by the power of
the Holy Spirit.
“You want to have fellowship with me? Do you know what the Scriptures say? ‘.if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin.’
“Now demon, can you say, ‘The blood of Jesus’? [The thing could only growl at this point. The cocky tone disappeared instantly.] Demon, say ‘the blood of Jesus’ now! Come on!”

The man’s hands started twisting, and I could literally hear bones cracking. Then the man’s ankles began to twist in a contorted manner, and he fell on the floor and started writhing. I said, “Stop doing that. Say, ‘the blood of Jesus.’ Say it now!” Finally he went, “The bl—, the bl—.” Then the man seemed to regurgitate, and the demon came out screaming.
I returned to that area five years later, and a man knocked on my hotel door. I remembered his face, but the last time I had seen the man, he was lying on the floor while two ministers huddled in a broom closet in another room. This time, he said, “Brother Chavda, I want to introduce you to someone.” He stepped aside so I could see the young lady who was with
him and he said, “We have been married for five years, and I want you to know that when you prayed for me that day, I was totally delivered. Now I’m married and have normal desires.” Praise God! He is the great Deliverer.

Another time I was ministering in the morning service of a church in a university town in the Southwest. I had just come through a season of fasting and prayer, and the services were going very well in the large church building. The altar was so large that it could accommodate hundreds of people at once, and I felt like the Lord wanted to bless the whole audience at once, so I brought them all up to the altar. As the Lord anointed the people, many were falling or responding to God’s presence in different ways. Right in the middle of the altar service, the Spirit of God prompted
me to say, “The Lord tells me there are twelve homosexuals and lesbians here. If you’ll raise your hands and repent right now, the Lord will deliver each one of you.”
Twelve hands went up instantly. Eight of the people were lesbians, and when they raised their hands it looked like they were suddenly dropped to the floor by a blow from a large hammer! I knew the Lord wanted to do
more, so I went down to where they lay on the carpet. I didn’t know much about lesbians. I thought they all had men’s haircuts and wore jeans and bossed everybody around. One particular young woman had confessed that
she was a lesbian, but she defied the usual stereotype. She was a beautiful 21-year-old blonde-haired little girl, but when I looked at her, her entire visage turned dark.
I told her, “You are being delivered from a demon of death. In fact, it is a spirit of suicide. You tried to commit suicide just recently, haven’t you?”
She started weeping and pulled up the sleeves of her long-sleeved dress to show me the vivid scars from the day only two weeks earlier when she had slashed her wrists in an attempt to commit suicide. Right then and there, under the overpowering anointing of God, that young woman was totally delivered from the spirit of suicide and the spirit of lesbianism.

When I went back to that church a year later, I rejoiced to see that this sister was playing a key role on the worship team. She came up to me with a big smile and proudly pulled out a picture and said, “I just want you to know that I got married three weeks ago, and this is the man I married. Now I’m serving the Lord!”
I want you to see the people who are in bondage all around you. They are broken, hurting, and desperate under demonizing influences.
Psychologists cannot help them, nor can psychiatrists. God’s Word says that this kind won’t even come out by a simple command in the name of Jesus Christ—they do not come out except through prayer and fasting. That, my
friend, is what the Lord is asking us to do. Are you willing to pay the price to set the captives free? Are you willing to set the captives free in your church, in your neighborhood, and in your city?

We shouldn’t be satisfied to stop there. There are desperately wicked yokes of bondage choking the people in our inner cities. I want the Church of Jesus Christ to rise up in God’s glory. I’m tired of us shooting at each other when there are so many desperate needs out in the world. We are called to set the captives free, and the Lord has given us mighty weapons to pull down the strongholds.
Everyone seeking deliverance from an entangling sin or chronic weakness needs to get desperate. If parents want to see their children healed or set free of demonic oppression, then they need to get desperate for their children. If they are truly humble and desperate before the Lord as they fast for themselves or for their children, then they will often find that it becomes easy to experience or minister deliverance.

21 CAPTIVATING STEPS TO REVIVE YOUR PRAYER LIFE.

1. Set a non-negotiable time with God – Daniel 6:10
Insight: Prayer without schedule = prayer without power. Daniel prayed 3x daily like clockwork. Put God in your calendar before your calendar fills up.

2. Kill your phone before kills your prayer – Matthew 6:6
Insight: “Shut your door” = airplane mode. If your phone is closer than your Bible, your prayer will be shorter than your scroll time.

3. Start small, but start fire – Zechariah 4:10
Insight: Don’t aim for 3hrs and quit on Day 2. 10 minutes of real fire > 1 hour of religious noise. Consistency beats intensity.

4. Use the Bible as your prayer script – Isaiah 62:6
Insight: God moves faster when you pray His Word back to Him. Take Psalm 23 and pray: “Lord, You are my shepherd, so I refuse lack ...”

5. Deal with the secret sin first – Psalm 66:18
Insight: “If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear”. Revival and hidden sin are enemies. Confess it, drop it, then pray.

6. Forgive someone before you ask God for anything – Mark 11:25
Insight: Unforgiveness blocks heaven’s pipeline. Release that person in prayer, then watch your own prayers get answered faster.

7. Pray loud enough to wake your destiny – Jeremiah 33:3
Insight: Silent prayer is good. Violent prayer is better. “The kingdom suffers violence”. Whisper to God when sleeping, but pray to to provoke your testimony.

8. Add thanksgiving to every prayer – Philippians 4:6
Insight: Begging makes prayer heavy. Gratitude makes prayer sweet. Thank God for 3 things before you ask for 1 thing.

9. Create a “War Room” list – Ephesians 6:18
Insight: Random prayer = random results. Write 7 areas: Family, Financial, Health, Purpose, Ministry, Marriage, Country. Attack 1 daily with focus.

10. Pray in the spirit when words fail – Romans 8:26
Insight: The Holy Spirit translates your groans. 15 minutes in tongues = spiritual gym. Weak in English, strong in Spirit.

11. Worship before you warfare – 2 Chronicles 20:22
Insight: Jehoshaphat won the battle with singers, not soldiers. Praise confuses your enemies before your prayer destroys them.

12. Find your “Upper Room” spot – Acts 1:13
Insight: Environment carries anointing. Same bed for sleep + prayer = sleep wins. Find a corner, chair, or spot that only means “God time”.

13. Pray for others before yourself – Job 42:10
Insight: Selfish prayer dries up. When Job prayed for his friends, his own captivity broke. Your miracle is tied to someone else’s.

14. Fast at least 1 day in a week/month – Matthew 17:21
Insight: Some doors only open with prayer + fasting. Food is good, but your testimony is better. 6am-6pm. Water only. Break limits.

15. Listen more than you talk – 1 Samuel 3:9
Insight: Prayer is 2-way. Talk 5 minutes, be quiet 5 minutes. God speaks in whispers. If you’re always talking, you’ll miss your instructions.

16. Pray at midnight at least 3 times – Acts 16:25-26
Insight: Midnight is when destiny chains break. Set alarm 11:59pm. 20 minutes of midnight prayer > 2 hours of afternoon prayer.

17. Keep a prayer journal of answered prayers – Habakkuk 2:2
Insight: Write it down. When doubt comes, open your journal. “God did it before, He’ll do it again”. Faith grows on evidence.

18. Pray with expectancy, not duty – James 1:6
Insight: Don’t pray like you’re filling a form. Pray like you’re expecting a call back from heaven. Doubt cancels delivery.

19. Use the ACTS pattern – Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, Supplication – Psalm 100:4
Insight: Structure kills dryness. Adore His greatness, Confess your weakness, Thank Him for mercy, then ask for your need.

20. Get an accountability partner – Ecclesiastes 4:9
Insight: Lonely prayer life dies fast. Text 1 friend daily: “I prayed today”. Two are better than one. Fire needs wood.

21. Make a covenant with God – Genesis 28:20
Insight: Jacob said “If You bless me, I’ll serve You”. Tell God: “Lord, revive my prayer life and I’ll never treat prayer like last option again”. Seal it with action.

The present age is witnessing an obsession with the gym, bodybuilding, and physical looks. It’s like a cult for adolescents and young adults. As awesome as it is to be conscious and take responsibility for one’s fitness and the discipline and effort required around it, it still leaves most of them feeling unequipped for life.

Despite great looks, healthy bodies, disciplined lives, looking outwardly perfect, there is a constant chase for the deeper unmet needs.

Wanderer’s Quest:
Some end up indulging in shallow relationships, addictions, and activities that superficially give short-term satisfaction. Yet, they feel deeply unsatisfied and lost.

Lost treasure:
Living under peer pressure, they struggle to live lives that would give them satisfaction.

Treasure Chest:
We are made in the image of God. (Genesis 1: 26)
We ought to live as Jesus lived on this earth. (1 John 2: 6), a godly life lived in exact perfection and likeness of His Father God.

The outcome:
The generations are suffering the consequences of ungodly choices.
“My people are ruined because they don't know what's right or true.” (Hosea 4: 6)
The cause is the lack of knowledge about godliness.
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” (Proverbs 1:7)

FAQs:
• It feels like a very demanding task, and most of the people feel they are not up for it, not because they don’t want it, but because they feel unqualified or unequipped to live a godly lifestyle. Is that so?
• People find it to be something for saints or religious people only. Is it for commoners, too?

Sign up: “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” (Proverbs 1:7)

Equipment: His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. (2 Peter 1:3)

Tool Kit: “It teaches us to say “NO” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age” (Titus 2: 12)

Training session: Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives’ tales; rather, train yourself to be godly. (1 Timothy 4:7-8)

Reward: “For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.”

Taking Refuge In God. June 18,2026 I will say of the Lord ,He is my refuge and my fortress :my God ; in him will I trust -Psalm 91:2. Balloon Head.

“By pride comes nothing but strife, but with the well-advised is wisdom.” Proverbs 13:10

Frustration was growing. It seemed like such a simple concept, and the players were sure at the beginning that it would be an easy task. When the whistle blew, each team would run to a table, grab a balloon from a box, transport it to the opposite side of the gym, and place it on their designated line. Each team would continue this action until their balloons were lined up in perfect order on the straight line.

However, after a few balloons had been carried over, the teammates realized the impossibility of their assignment because as soon as one balloon was placed on the line next to another, they refused to stay near each other. Either because of the breeze of the running participants or the closeness of the balloons to each other, the goal was unachievable. One by one, the players gave up, and no one was named the winner. The wisdom of the leader was then shared with the youth: the only way this task could be completed would be to pop the balloon before placing it on the line. The lesson to be learned was one of humility.

Man without the Spirit of God is as an inflated balloon. Like the air inside it, pride fills the heart until it is fragile and ready to burst. Just as inflated balloons cannot lie in rest near one another, so is a man who thinks more of himself than he ought. A prideful person has an irritable spirit and causes friction with others…there is no peace.

There are many ways pride can puff up a man (or a woman). Talents (which are God-given gifts for which to be grateful) can be exalted in one’s mind. Then there’s the need for recognition instead of the desire to glorify God, or even the perfectionist who becomes angry when perfection cannot be achieved. There are many more. We live in a “Me Me Me” world. From the time we are born, we desire to have the attention and recognition of our peers. Left to ourselves, we never outgrow this condition, and it only grows more intense.

A Christian’s daily desire should be to become more like Jesus. What ultimate humility for God to take human form to provide salvation for mankind! Christ died for us while we were yet sinners and His enemies. If only we would strive to humble ourselves, we could have a peaceful and sweet disposition toward others—even our enemies.

Minister John Flavel wrote, “A Christian should know so much of his sin that it is impossible that anyone could lay him lower or have baser thought of him than he has of himself.” We should always be conscious of where God has brought us from so that our lives would only glorify Him and never bring attention to ourselves.

Oh, Christian! Won’t you allow God to prick your heart and let go of your pride as a needle in a balloon releases the air that causes it to not be at rest with one another? What peace will overflow in your life instead of the constant contention that is the fruit of pride.
