• TODAY'S KINGDOM INSIGHTS:

    SERMON TOPIC:

    5 THINGS EVERY CHRISTIAN WOMAN SHOULD NEVER COMPROMISE.

    Key Scripture:

    Proverbs 31:30

    «“Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.”»

    A Christian woman is not called to fit into the world; she is called to shine in the world without becoming part of its darkness.
    There will be pressure to compromise your convictions for a relationship, a job, money, acceptance, fashion, popularity, or social media approval.
    But remember this:
    What you compromise to gain today may become the very thing that destroys your testimony tomorrow.
    You can lose money and recover it.
    You can lose an opportunity and find another.
    You can lose popularity and still be fulfilled.

    But when you lose your character, convictions, and fellowship with God, the cost can be far greater.
    A godly woman must learn to say:
    “I would rather disappoint people than disappoint God.”
    1. NEVER COMPROMISE YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD
    Matthew 6:33
    «“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness…”»
    Before you are a wife, mother, professional, entrepreneur, student, minister, or friend, you are first a woman created by God.
    Your relationship with God must not become secondary because life becomes busy.
    Do not abandon prayer because you have entered a relationship.
    Do not abandon the Word because you have become successful.
    Do not stop attending fellowship because you have become comfortable.
    Do not allow a relationship to replace your relationship with Christ.

    Deep Spiritual Insight

    Anything that takes God's rightful place in your heart eventually becomes an idol.
    A Christian woman must be able to say:
    “God is not part of my life; God is the foundation of my life.”

    Practical Action

    - Maintain a consistent prayer life.
    - Study God's Word.
    - Fellowship with other believers.
    - Guard your spiritual environment.
    - Put God first in your decisions.
    2. NEVER COMPROMISE YOUR PURITY AND CHARACTER
    1 Thessalonians 4:3-4
    «“For this is the will of God, even your sanctification…”»
    The world may tell you that purity is outdated.
    It is not.
    Holiness is not old-fashioned. Holiness is still God's standard.
    Your body is not merely an instrument for attracting attention. It is a temple of the Holy Spirit.
    1 Corinthians 6:19-20
    Paul reminds believers that their bodies belong to God.
    Therefore, do not allow desperation for marriage, money, attention, or acceptance to push you into sexual immorality or compromising situations.
    A woman of God must understand:
    Your value is not determined by who desires you. Your value is determined by the God who created you.

    Biblical Example:

    Joseph and Potiphar's Wife

    Joseph was tempted privately when nobody appeared to be watching.
    But Joseph said:
    «“How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?” — Genesis 39:9»
    Notice what Joseph considered most important.
    He did not say, “What will people say?”
    He said, “I cannot sin against God.”
    That must also be the conviction of every Christian woman.
    3. NEVER COMPROMISE YOUR IDENTITY AND GOD-GIVEN VALUE
    Psalm 139:14
    «“I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made…”»
    Social media can make women compare themselves with other women.
    One woman looks more beautiful.
    Another appears richer.
    Another has a successful marriage.
    Another has thousands of followers.
    Another seems to have everything together.
    But remember:
    Comparison can make you despise what God created.
    You don't have to become somebody else to become valuable.
    God created you intentionally.
    Your identity should not be built on:
    - Physical appearance
    - Relationship status
    - Wealth
    - Social media validation
    - People's opinions
    - Titles
    - Material possessions
    Your identity must be rooted in Christ.
    1 Peter 2:9
    You are part of a chosen generation and a royal priesthood.
    Therefore, don't sell your identity cheaply for acceptance.
    You are God's workmanship before you are anybody's girlfriend, wife, employee, friend, or follower.
    4. NEVER COMPROMISE YOUR VALUES FOR MONEY OR SUCCESS
    Proverbs 11:1
    «“A false balance is abomination to the LORD…”»
    There is nothing wrong with wanting success.
    There is nothing wrong with building a business.
    There is nothing wrong with becoming financially independent.
    But success without integrity is failure wearing expensive clothes.
    Never lie to make money.
    Never cheat to get ahead.
    Never sleep with someone to secure an opportunity.
    Never participate in corruption because “everybody is doing it.”
    Never allow financial pressure to destroy your principles.

    Biblical Example:

    The Virtuous Woman
    Proverbs 31:25
    «“Strength and honour are her clothing…”»
    The woman described in Proverbs 31 was productive, hardworking, intelligent, business-minded, generous, and responsible.
    She was not weak.
    She was a woman of strength and honour.
    God does not require Christian women to be unsuccessful.
    He requires them to be faithful while pursuing success.
    5. NEVER COMPROMISE YOUR PURPOSE AND GODLY INFLUENCE
    Esther 4:14
    «“And who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”»
    Esther was positioned in the palace for a purpose.
    Her position was not merely for comfort.
    It was an opportunity to influence history.
    Every Christian woman has influence somewhere.
    You may influence:
    - Your children
    - Your husband
    - Your workplace
    - Your church
    - Your community
    - Your generation
    - Your social media audience
    - Young people watching your life
    Never underestimate your influence.
    Titus 2:3-5
    Older Christian women are instructed to teach and guide younger women.
    This means Christian women are not merely recipients of spiritual knowledge.
    They are also carriers and transmitters of godly wisdom.
    Your life is preaching something even when your mouth is closed.
    The question is:
    What is your life preaching?

    BIBLICAL CASE STUDY:

    HANNAH

    1 Samuel 1:9-20

    Hannah experienced deep emotional pain because she had no child.
    She was mocked and misunderstood.
    Yet she took her pain to God.
    She did not allow her disappointment to destroy her faith.
    She prayed.
    She waited.
    She trusted.
    And eventually, God answered her with Samuel.

    Lesson for Christian Women

    Your current situation is not necessarily your final chapter.
    You may be waiting for:
    - Marriage
    - Children
    - Financial breakthrough
    - Career advancement
    - Healing
    - Ministry growth
    - Restoration
    But don't compromise while waiting.
    Never exchange your destiny for temporary relief.
    Hannah waited before God, and her story changed.

    5 QUESTIONS EVERY CHRISTIAN WOMAN SHOULD ASK HERSELF

    1. What am I tempted to compromise because I desperately want something?
    2. Has any relationship become more important to me than God?
    3. Does my private life agree with my public Christian testimony?
    4. Am I allowing society or social media to determine my value?
    5. If Jesus examined my decisions today, would I be proud of them?

    PRACTICAL ACTION STEPS

    1. Establish non-negotiable convictions.
    Decide beforehand what you will and will not compromise.
    2. Choose relationships wisely.
    Anyone who constantly pushes you away from God is not helping your destiny.
    3. Protect your private life.
    Character is revealed by what you do when nobody is watching.
    4. Build your identity in Christ.
    Know God's Word concerning who you are.
    5. Find godly women to learn from.
    Don't walk alone.
    Learn from mature Christian women who have walked with God through different seasons of life.

    POWERFUL PRAYER POINTS

    1.
    Father, give me the grace to love You above everything else, in Jesus' name.
    2.
    Lord, strengthen me to stand for righteousness when I am under pressure to compromise.
    3.
    Father, protect my heart, mind, body, and destiny from ungodly influences.
    4.
    Lord, deliver me from comparison, insecurity, and the need for human approval.
    5.
    Father, give me wisdom to recognize relationships and opportunities that are not from You.
    6.
    Lord, help me to pursue success without sacrificing my integrity.
    7.
    Father, let my life become a godly example to the generation coming after me.
    8.
    Lord, restore every woman who has fallen through compromise and give her the grace to rise again.

    CALL TO ACTION

    Dear woman of God, you don't have to compromise to be accepted.
    You don't have to compromise to get married.
    You don't have to compromise to become successful.
    You don't have to compromise to become beautiful.
    You don't have to compromise to become influential.
    You don't have to compromise to survive.
    God is able to bless you without destroying you.
    The world may tell you:
    “Everybody is doing it.”
    But you must say:
    “I am not everybody. I belong to Christ.”
    When everybody is bowing, stand.
    When everybody is compromising, stand.
    When everybody is pursuing popularity, pursue holiness.
    When everybody is choosing temporary pleasure, choose eternal purpose.
    Your beauty will fade.
    Your possessions will pass away.
    Your popularity may disappear.
    But a life that honours God will leave an eternal testimony.

    Final Declaration

    I will not compromise my faith.
    I will not compromise my purity.
    I will not compromise my identity.
    I will not compromise my integrity.
    I will not compromise my purpose.
    I am a woman of God.
    I belong to Christ.
    My life has purpose.
    My body is God's temple.
    My character is my treasure.
    My faith is my foundation.
    And by the grace of God, I will stand!
    “Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.” — Proverbs 31:30

    Stand firm, woman of God. Your generation needs the woman God has called you to become.

  • Dear God, thank You for bringing me through another day. As I get ready to rest tonight, I’m being honest with You about something I’ve realized. I’ve spent so much time asking You to fix my finances, my relationships, and my health, but I haven’t always hungered for You just because You’re You. Your word in 1 Peter 2:9 says, “You are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people.” God, tonight I just want Your presence, not Your fixing, not Your provision, just You. Help me build a relentless hunger to know You more, not because of what You can do for me, but because of who You are. I give this night completely to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

    One thing I have desired of the Lord, that will I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in His temple. -Psalm 27:4

  • Today Is a Gift—Receive It With Joy

    Every new morning is a reminder that God is not finished with you yet. You may still be waiting for certain prayers to be answered, but the gift of waking up today is already a reason to hope, rejoice, and give thanks.

    Psalm 118:24 says, “This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.”

    Don't allow yesterday's disappointments, today's challenges, or tomorrow's uncertainties to steal the beauty of this moment.

    Choose gratitude while you wait.
    Choose faith when you don't understand.
    Choose peace when life feels overwhelming.
    Choose joy even when everything isn't perfect.

    Joy doesn't mean life is problem-free. It means you trust that God is greater than every problem you face.

    As you step into this Sunday, may God's presence calm your heart, renew your strength, and fill you with fresh hope. May you receive good news, divine favor, unexpected blessings, and answers to your prayers.

    Let's Pray

    Heavenly Father, thank You for the precious gift of another day. Help me to walk in gratitude, faith, and joy. Let Your peace fill every troubled heart, strengthen those who are weary, and restore hope to those who feel discouraged. May this Sunday bring testimonies, favor, breakthroughs, and beautiful surprises. In Jesus' name, Amen.

    If you're grateful for the gift of today, declare:

    “This is the day the Lord has made; I will rejoice and be glad in it!”

  • Daily Bible Lesson.
    TRUTH IS NOT POPULAR—WHY DO SO FEW FOLLOW JESUS IN HIS OWN SABBATH PATH?

    “As His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day.” — Luke 4:16

    Luke does not describe a rare visit.

    He reveals Christ’s custom.

    The Sabbath was not an accident in His life.
    It was part of His faithful walk with the Father.

    TRUTH IS NOT DECIDED BY THE CROWD

    Noah stood with God while the world laughed.

    Elijah stood for truth while a nation compromised.

    Jesus stood upon Scripture while religious leaders defended tradition.

    The crowd may be sincere—

    and still be wrong.

    “Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil.” — Exodus 23:2

    Jesus did not ask:

    What is popular?
    What is comfortable?
    What does the majority practice?

    He answered:

    “It is written.” — Matthew 4:4

    Truth is not settled by numbers.

    It is settled by God’s Word.

    JESUS LEFT AN EXAMPLE—NOT MERELY A MESSAGE

    Jesus did not only say:

    “Believe in Me.”

    He also said:

    “Follow Me.” — Matthew 4:19

    The Savior who died for us also showed us how to live.

    “Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow His steps.” — 1 Peter 2:21

    Many admire Jesus.

    Few imitate Him.

    Many call Him Lord.

    Few follow when obedience becomes unpopular.

    “Why call ye Me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?” — Luke 6:46

    JESUS REVEALED TRUE SABBATH-KEEPING

    The same Jesus who created the Sabbath also kept it.

    “The Son of man is Lord also of the Sabbath.” — Mark 2:28

    He stripped away man-made burdens and restored its true beauty:

    Worship.
    Mercy.
    Healing.
    Fellowship.
    Rest in God.

    “It is lawful to do well on the Sabbath days.” — Matthew 12:12

    Jesus did not abolish the Sabbath.

    He rescued it from legalism and revealed its Christ-centered purpose.

    The Sabbath points to Him as:

    Creator.
    Redeemer.
    Lord.
    Rest for the weary soul.

    “Come unto Me… and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28

    THE SABBATH WILL OUTLIVE SIN

    The Sabbath did not begin with Israel.

    It began in Eden—before sin, before nations, and before denominations.

    “God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it.” — Genesis 2:3

    Jesus honored it during His earthly life.

    And Scripture reveals that the redeemed will worship from Sabbath to Sabbath in the new earth.

    “From one Sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before Me.” — Isaiah 66:23

    The Sabbath began before sin,
    was exemplified by Christ during redemption,
    and will remain when sin is gone forever.

    What God sanctified in Eden,
    what Jesus honored on earth,
    and what the redeemed will celebrate eternally—

    should not be strange to Christ’s followers today.

    ONLY JESUS SAVES

    We are not saved by keeping a day.

    We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.

    “By grace are ye saved through faith.” — Ephesians 2:8

    But saving grace does not excuse rebellion.

    It forgives the sinner, transforms the heart, and writes God’s law within.

    “I will put My laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts.” — Hebrews 8:10

    Obedience is not the price of salvation.

    It is the fruit of salvation.

    “If ye love Me, keep My commandments.” — John 14:15

    Truth without Christ becomes cold.

    Obedience without love becomes legalism.

    But faith that beholds Calvary produces loving loyalty.

    THE REAL ISSUE IS AUTHORITY

    The deepest Sabbath question is not merely:

    Which day?

    It is:

    Who rules my conscience—Christ or tradition?

    Christ warned against worship built upon human commands.

    “In vain they do worship Me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.” — Matthew 15:9

    A tradition may be ancient.

    It may be popular.

    It may be defended by millions.

    But age cannot sanctify error.

    Popularity cannot replace divine authority.

    “To the law and to the testimony.” — Isaiah 8:20

    CHRIST IS CALLING YOU CLOSER

    Perhaps you followed tradition sincerely.

    Jesus is not calling you to pride, bitterness, or argument.

    He is calling you to:

    Repentance.
    Faith.
    Surrender.
    Obedience.

    Repent of placing human authority above His Word.

    Believe—not in your obedience, but in His cleansing blood.

    Surrender to His transforming grace.

    Follow wherever His truth leads.

    “The blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin.” — 1 John 1:7

    “These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever He goeth.” — Revelation 14:4

    “The strongest argument in favor of the gospel is a loving and lovable Christian.” — The Ministry of Healing, p. 470

    The narrow path has never been crowded.

    But Jesus walks there.

    The crowd cannot forgive you.

    Tradition cannot transform you.

    A denomination cannot save you.

    Only Christ can.

    Do not measure truth by the crowd.

    Measure everything by Christ and His Word.

    Prayer
    Lord Jesus, forgive my compromise. Cleanse me by Your blood, write Your law upon my heart, teach me to keep Your Sabbath as You did—with worship, mercy, love, and joy—and give me courage to follow You from this earth into eternity.
    Daily Bible Lesson. TRUTH IS NOT POPULAR—WHY DO SO FEW FOLLOW JESUS IN HIS OWN SABBATH PATH? “As His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day.” — Luke 4:16 Luke does not describe a rare visit. He reveals Christ’s custom. The Sabbath was not an accident in His life. It was part of His faithful walk with the Father. TRUTH IS NOT DECIDED BY THE CROWD Noah stood with God while the world laughed. Elijah stood for truth while a nation compromised. Jesus stood upon Scripture while religious leaders defended tradition. The crowd may be sincere— and still be wrong. “Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil.” — Exodus 23:2 Jesus did not ask: What is popular? What is comfortable? What does the majority practice? He answered: “It is written.” — Matthew 4:4 Truth is not settled by numbers. It is settled by God’s Word. JESUS LEFT AN EXAMPLE—NOT MERELY A MESSAGE Jesus did not only say: “Believe in Me.” He also said: “Follow Me.” — Matthew 4:19 The Savior who died for us also showed us how to live. “Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow His steps.” — 1 Peter 2:21 Many admire Jesus. Few imitate Him. Many call Him Lord. Few follow when obedience becomes unpopular. “Why call ye Me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?” — Luke 6:46 JESUS REVEALED TRUE SABBATH-KEEPING The same Jesus who created the Sabbath also kept it. “The Son of man is Lord also of the Sabbath.” — Mark 2:28 He stripped away man-made burdens and restored its true beauty: Worship. Mercy. Healing. Fellowship. Rest in God. “It is lawful to do well on the Sabbath days.” — Matthew 12:12 Jesus did not abolish the Sabbath. He rescued it from legalism and revealed its Christ-centered purpose. The Sabbath points to Him as: Creator. Redeemer. Lord. Rest for the weary soul. “Come unto Me… and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28 THE SABBATH WILL OUTLIVE SIN The Sabbath did not begin with Israel. It began in Eden—before sin, before nations, and before denominations. “God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it.” — Genesis 2:3 Jesus honored it during His earthly life. • 490: The Fullness of God's Mercy—and A Call to Repent

    "Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven." — Matthew 18:22

    The number 490 reminds us of the greatness of God's mercy and His perfect plan of redemption.

    When Peter asked Jesus how many times he should forgive, Jesus answered, "seventy times seven." Jesus was not teaching us to keep count. He was revealing the overflowing mercy of God toward those who repent and believe in Him.

    This stands in striking contrast to Lucifer.

    Lucifer was created with great privilege and beauty, yet pride filled his heart, and he rebelled against God. Throughout Scripture, Satan is never presented as seeking repentance or receiving forgiveness. Instead, he remains the deceiver, the accuser, and the adversary. The Bible consistently points not to his restoration but to his final judgment in the lake of fire (Revelation 20:10).

    By contrast, fallen humanity is offered what Satan is never shown seeking: God's invitation to repent and be reconciled through Jesus Christ. The Father sent His Son to bear our sins, die in our place, and rise again so that everyone who trusts in Him may receive forgiveness and eternal life.

    The number 490 also points to Daniel's prophecy of the seventy weeks (490 years), revealing God's redemptive plan leading to the coming of the Messiah, who would make atonement for sin and bring in everlasting righteousness (Daniel 9:24).

    As the Bible closes, Revelation reminds us that God's mercy has an appointed day. Christ will return, evil will be judged, and eternity will be established. Revelation lists those whose lives are characterized by persistent, unrepentant rebellion against God—such as the cowardly, unbelieving, murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars (Revelation 21:8). It also says that nothing unclean will enter the New Jerusalem (Revelation 21:27).

    These passages are not teaching that anyone who has ever committed these sins is beyond hope. Rather, they warn that those who persist in them without repentance and reject Christ will not inherit God's kingdom. The Gospel declares that idolaters, liars, adulterers, thieves, and every other kind of sinner can be washed, sanctified, and justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ (see 1 Corinthians 6:9–11).

    Satan's story is one of pride, rebellion, accusation, and judgment.

    Jesus' story is one of humility, sacrifice, forgiveness, and redemption.

    Today, God's mercy is still extended through Christ. The One who commands us to forgive "seventy times seven" is the same Lord who still calls sinners to repent while there is time. When He returns, the season of grace will give way to the final judgment. Therefore, let us turn from idols, reject deception, walk in the truth, and cling to Christ alone.

    Prayer

    Lord Jesus, thank You for Your immeasurable mercy. Thank You that though I deserved judgment, You offered me forgiveness through Your finished work on the cross. Search my heart for any idol, deception, or unrepentant sin. Keep me abiding in You, walking in truth, and proclaiming Your Gospel until the day You return. Amen.

  • Beauty from ashes.

    There are seasons when all we can see are the ashes—the broken dreams, painful memories, disappointments, and pieces of a life we thought could never be restored. But God sees something we cannot yet see.

    He sees what He is creating.

    Isaiah 61:3 reminds us that He gives “beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness.”

    Jesus does not discard the broken pieces of our lives. He redeems them. He takes the places that once carried pain and begins planting something beautiful there. What looked like an ending becomes the ground where grace begins to bloom.

    So keep walking toward Him. Even if ashes still cling to yesterday, there can be flowers waiting in tomorrow.

    You are not defined by what was broken.
    You are being shaped by the hands of the One who restores.
    And when God finishes the story, even the ashes will testify:

    Look what the Lord has done.

    He takes what was broken and makes it beautiful. You are His masterpiece.

  • Good morning, brethren.
    1. Morning devotion for today.

    MD.i. MORNING TEA
    THE WORD FOR TODAY
    THURSDAY AUGUST 13, 2O26.
    "RESPONDING TO FAILURE"

    ‘A righteous person may fall…but he gets up again...’ Proverbs 24:16 GWT

    YOU CAN tell a lot about somebody by how they respond to life. Everybody gets knocked down, but how fast you get up again is what counts. Verla Gillmor says: ‘Failure teaches us things we can’t learn any other way…Treat it as a visitor allowed to deliver unpleasant news, but don’t let it take up residence. Remember, all failures aren’t equal. For example, when a beautiful, talented young woman is the first-runner-up in a beauty contest, some say she failed. Yet some people would give their right arm to be named the second most attractive female in a competition. It’s a matter of perspective… [examine] your failures and weigh them according to their importance in the overall scheme of things…I once received a ‘D’ at college…it’s ridiculous, but that sticks in my mind like a pebble in my shoe. Why do I fixate on that and not the fact that it happened during the term I carried nineteen credit hours, worked part-time, got engaged, and spent six weeks in the college health centre with mononucleosis? When I put the experience in context, it loses its power to undermine my confidence. Failure teaches us what’s important. I have a friend who was made redundant…It caught her by surprise because she was good at her work. “I tended to be full of pride,” she says. “I got away with it because I was so successful. Losing my job…humbled me. With pride you have no permission to fail. It’s a heavy yoke…and I don’t wear it any more. I feel lighter in my spirit without the burden of having to be perfect.’’’

    *A MORE DESCRIPTION OF HEAVEN*

    *TEXT:* REVELATION 21:1-8.

    1And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
    2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
    3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
    4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
    5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
    6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
    7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
    8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

    *Timeless Truth:*_"For he (Abraham) looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God"_ (Hebrews 11:10).

    *INTRODUCTION*

    When Garden Eden was created, it was the most beautiful place Adam could ever conceive of, with all the beautiful birds, animals, plants and cool weather. However, nobody needed to tell Adam that there must be a better place because the God that used to commune with him in *"the cool of the day"* was not living in Eden. He must be dwelling in a better place. This faith was carried on from generations to generations until the time of Abraham, who in spite of all the wealth promised him, his affection was focused on the better city. *"For he (Abraham) looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God"*. Nobody was given a better revelation of heaven than Apostle John. Enoch and Elijah were said to be translated to heaven. How heaven looked like was left to human imaginations. Jesus Christ also mentioned heaven as the abode of the Triune God. He only told us it has many mansions. At the mount of transfiguration was revealed the glory of heaven and how the inhabitants will look like. Nothing more was revealed. Stephen saw heaven at the point of death but just faintly (Acts 7:55-56). Paul the apostle was taken to heaven which he called the third heaven, but he said he was not permitted to reveal what he saw to any except that he exposed that it has many foundations (Acts 11:10, 2 Corinthians 12:2-4). The text shows us the climax of God's revelation about heaven. Yet the Bible writers were short of words to describe heaven except that it is the place where God dwells from eternity, with all His created angels and saints. *"How beautiful heaven must be"*.

    *1. Prepared Heaven*

    a. Those who doubt the testimony of Apostle John must be ready to doubt his gospel and epistles that have transformed lives and brought supernatural comforts and revelation of Jesus Christ to mankind for centuries. *"And I saw a new heaven and a new earth"*. He was not told or heard from a third party. He saw it himself. It was not a remodelled new heaven and earth, but a totally new heaven and a new earth. *"And there was no more sea"*. There are three types of heaven mentioned in the Bible. There is the atmospheric heaven where the rain comes from (Deuteronomy 11:11). There is the second heaven called heavenlies where we have the galaxies including the primary domain of demonic forces and angelic conflicts (Ephesians 6:12). Then we have the third heaven or paradise where God dwells (2 Corinthians 12:2). *"For the first heaven and the first earth were passed away"*. The first two heavens were passed away except the third heaven. 2 Peter 3:12, 13 reveals how this will happen. *"….. wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. "*. The earth and the heavens will be destroyed through fervent heat. Jesus Himself confirmed that heaven and earth with all their structures, beauties, learnings and philosophies shall all pass away except the Word of God (Matthew 5:18, 24:35). In fact, all the human bodies will give way to eternal and indestructible bodies. Thus, what Apostle John saw was the giving away of all things that are visible and temporary for things that are eternal.
    b. *"And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven"*. The earthly Jerusalem was referred to as the city of the Great King (Psalm 48:2, Matthew 5:35). This is referring to the Millennium holy Jerusalem from where Jesus will rule the whole world physically. John the apostle said that Jerusalem ceased to exist, but gave way to a completely New Jerusalem. This New Jerusalem was seen coming *"out of heaven"*. Obviously, it is seen coming from the third heaven which is the eternal throne of God. He used the imagery of the beauty of a bride coming to meet the husband to describe the beauty of heaven. This is the best description human language can give. *Prepared as a bride adorned for her husband"*. He then heard the voice of God announcing the plan of God right from eternity. What was that plan? That God will physically, live among men as King over loving subjects; as Father over His children in a happy family set up and as God over His redeemed and people. *"And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God"*. This is the beginning of heaven, happy and holy eternity.

    *Question*

    Are you getting prepared for heaven in the practical sense of it? If Not, then you don't actually, believe in heaven.

    *2. Pacification with Happiness*

    a. The Apostle further gave a glimpse of how we will feel in heaven. *"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes"*. Tears of sorrow, anguish, lost loved ones, physical and psychological pains, etc.will all be forgotten. This is difficult to imagine for man. It is like imagining how God promised that *"your sins and iniquities will I remember no more"*. We don't have a problem with God forgiving our sins, but God forgetting our sins will be difficult to imagine. We will all forget the painful past as we will be overwhelmed with the glory of God for eternity. *"There shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away"*. The pains and the tears, called *"light afflictions"* will be for a moment. They will not survive the joy of eternity.
    b. For those who have difficulty with believing, *"he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful"*. Heaven is prepared already. When Jesus Christ was about going to heaven, He assured the disciples of going to build mansions for them. About 60 years later, when John saw the revelation, he was told by the Lord that it was done. It means it is a settled and concluded matter. *"And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end"*. In heaven there will not be any heat or tension, but total refreshments and happiness. *"I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely"*. Everything God has will be totally ours. All the gifts of God, physical or spiritual, will belong to us as possessions. Nothing needed or useful will be denied. We suffer different lacks while on earth. Heaven will be the opposite. *"He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son"*. Are you an overcomer over sin, Satan and all his temptations?

    *Question*

    What are the things you are suffering on earth? Do you see them as temporary?

    *3. Punishment of Hell*

    What are the things that will disqualify any from entering heaven? What would be the abode of those who will miss heaven? The answer is fearful. *"But the fearful, and unbelieving"*. Every evil action stems from fear and unbelief. Unbelief of what God has spoken and the consequences of disobedience, fear of man and what man can do are terrible paralysing feelings that draw men to perdition. *"And the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars"*. Notice that all those sins are now also found inside the Church among professing saints. So there will be eternal surprises when those who profess that heaven is their home find themselves in a totally different place called hell. They *"shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone*.

    *Question*

    Are you transparently free from all sins?

    *Prayer Points*

    1.Give praises to God that you are in that number saved by grace .
    2.Ask God to search your life, expose, purge and cleanse you from all disqualifying habits .
    3.Pray that the vision of heaven will get brighter and brighter to you and your mind and affections will be focused on heavenly things .
    4.Pray that all believers will be delivered from all forms of self deception and will take entering heaven more seriously .

    ```KEY VERSE:``` _*"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away" (REVELATION 21:4).*_
    *John Harper, a Scottish Baptist pastor and evangelist, died on the _RMS Titanic_ in 1912. His last words, as testified by survivors, were "I have seen heaven, and it is beautiful" and "Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved." Despite his death, Harper used his final moments to preach the gospel, expressing his deep assurance that beyond death lay a place of eternal peace. A rescued survivor testified that Harper, clinging to the wreckage, asked if he was saved and urged him to believe in Jesus Christ. The survivor later accepted Christ and called himself "the last convert of John Harper."*
    *Today's passage paints a breath-taking vision of the new heaven and new earth. John sees the Holy City, the New Jerusalem, descending from God, adorned like a bride. A powerful voice declares that God will dwell among His people, wiping away every tear. Death, mourning, crying, and pain will be gone forever. The former things will pass away, and everything will be made new. God, the Alpha and Omega, promises the water of life to those who thirst. But He also warns that those who reject Him (those living in sin, fear, unbelief) will face eternal separation in the lake of fire.*
    *In this world, we experience suffering in many forms such as loss, illness, disappointment, pain and injustice. But for those who belong to Christ, these trials are temporary. Christ assures us that a glorious future awaits us, one where God Himself will comfort us, and all suffering will cease. This hope should encourage believers to endure hardships with faith, knowing that one day, we will step into a place where joy is endless and pain is no more. It also calls us to live righteously, rejecting sin and embracing the promise of eternity with God.*
    *No matter what trials you face today, hold unto the hope of heaven. Let this promise strengthen your faith, drive you to share the gospel, and encourage you to live in readiness for Christ's return. A day is coming when all suffering will cease and there will be no more tears, pain or death. Get ready to be part of this eternally glorious moment.*
    2. Morning Prayer for today.
    MP.i. Morning Prayer
    For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only [use] not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. ⏤ Galatians 5:13
    Let your religion be less of a theory and more of a love affair. ⏤ G.K. Chesterton
    O God, who has redeemed us by the precious blood of the Lamb, help us to live for Your praise and glory in all that we do. Since Jesus Christ has died for us and we are not our own, we want to live lives worthy of Your holiness. We confess and renounce all our sins. Teach us to hate sin and give us the grace to live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world, to the glory of Your holy name.
    We ask You to reveal Yourself to us this morning as we go forth and to give us the assurance of Your presence. You have promised that as our days are, so shall our strength be, and that Your grace will always be sufficient for us. We cling to these promises as we enter a new day whose experiences we cannot predict. We do not know what dangers we will encounter, what burdens will be placed on us, what temptations will whisper in our ears, what pitfalls will lie in our path, or what insidious influences will threaten the purity of our souls.
    So we hide ourselves in You and trust You to keep us safe all day.
    We desire to be useful and helpful to others. Save us from selfishness and self-centeredness. Teach us the great lesson of service. May we have the mind of Christ, who came not to be served but to serve. May we serve one another in love. May we live to help others and do good.
    Help us to see the needs we can meet, to perceive the ways we can serve, and then give us the true spirit of ministry so that we may do the things that will bless others. Fill us with Your Spirit so that we may be like You. We ask all this in the name of our Savior. Amen.
    Good morning, brethren. 1. Morning devotion for today. MD.i. 😀🎀💝🎁🌺🌹 MORNING TEA THE WORD FOR TODAY THURSDAY AUGUST 13, 2O26. "RESPONDING TO FAILURE" ‘A righteous person may fall…but he gets up again...’ Proverbs 24:16 GWT YOU CAN tell a lot about somebody by how they respond to life. Everybody gets knocked down, but how fast you get up again is what counts. Verla Gillmor says: ‘Failure teaches us things we can’t learn any other way…Treat it as a visitor allowed to deliver unpleasant news, but don’t let it take up residence. Remember, all failures aren’t equal. For example, when a beautiful, talented young woman is the first-runner-up in a beauty contest, some say she failed. Yet some people would give their right arm to be named the second most attractive female in a competition. It’s a matter of perspective… [examine] your failures and weigh them according to their importance in the overall scheme of things…I once received a ‘D’ at college…it’s ridiculous, but that sticks in my mind like a pebble in my shoe. Why do I fixate on that and not the fact that it happened during the term I carried nineteen credit hours, worked part-time, got engaged, and spent six weeks in the college health centre with mononucleosis? When I put the experience in context, it loses its power to undermine my confidence. Failure teaches us what’s important. I have a friend who was made redundant…It caught her by surprise because she was good at her work. “I tended to be full of pride,” she says. “I got away with it because I was so successful. Losing my job…humbled me. With pride you have no permission to fail. It’s a heavy yoke…and I don’t wear it any more. I feel lighter in my spirit without the burden of having to be perfect.’’’ Bible In A Year: Judg 9:34 – 11:40, Matt 17:1-13, Ps 119:73-80, Pro 20:25, Ecc 5:4-6. [12/08, 8:10 pm] Pastor Attah: *MEDITATIONS ON DAILY ⓂANNA* THURSDAY, 13TH AUGUST, 2026. *A MORE DESCRIPTION OF HEAVEN* *TEXT:* REVELATION 21:1-8. 1And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. 2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. 4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. 5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. 6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. 7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. 8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. *Timeless Truth:*_"For he (Abraham) looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God"_ (Hebrews 11:10). *INTRODUCTION* When Garden Eden was created, it was the most beautiful place Adam could ever conceive of, with all the beautiful birds, animals, plants and cool weather. However, nobody needed to tell Adam that there must be a better place because the God that used to commune with him in *"the cool of the day"* was not living in Eden. He must be dwelling in a better place. This faith was carried on from generations to generations until the time of Abraham, who in spite of all the wealth promised him, his affection was focused on the better city. *"For he (Abraham) looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God"*. Nobody was given a better revelation of heaven than Apostle John. Enoch and Elijah were said to be translated to heaven. How heaven looked like was left to human imaginations. Jesus Christ also mentioned heaven as the abode of the Triune God. He only told us it has many mansions. At the mount of transfiguration was revealed the glory of heaven and how the inhabitants will look like. Nothing more was revealed. Stephen saw heaven at the point of death but just faintly (Acts 7:55-56). Paul the apostle was taken to heaven which he called the third heaven, but he said he was not permitted to reveal what he saw to any except that he exposed that it has many foundations (Acts 11:10, 2 Corinthians 12:2-4). The text shows us the climax of God's revelation about heaven. Yet the Bible writers were short of words to describe heaven except that it is the place where God dwells from eternity, with all His created angels and saints. *"How beautiful heaven must be"*. *1. Prepared Heaven* a. Those who doubt the testimony of Apostle John must be ready to doubt his gospel and epistles that have transformed lives and brought supernatural comforts and revelation of Jesus Christ to mankind for centuries. *"And I saw a new heaven and a new earth"*. He was not told or heard from a third party. He saw it himself. It was not a remodelled new heaven and earth, but a totally new heaven and a new earth. *"And there was no more sea"*. There are three types of heaven mentioned in the Bible. There is the atmospheric heaven where the rain comes from (Deuteronomy 11:11). There is the second heaven called heavenlies where we have the galaxies including the primary domain of demonic forces and angelic conflicts (Ephesians 6:12). Then we have the third heaven or paradise where God dwells (2 Corinthians 12:2). *"For the first heaven and the first earth were passed away"*. The first two heavens were passed away except the third heaven. 2 Peter 3:12, 13 reveals how this will happen. *"….. wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. "*. The earth and the heavens will be destroyed through fervent heat. Jesus Himself confirmed that heaven and earth with all their structures, beauties, learnings and philosophies shall all pass away except the Word of God (Matthew 5:18, 24:35). In fact, all the human bodies will give way to eternal and indestructible bodies. Thus, what Apostle John saw was the giving away of all things that are visible and temporary for things that are eternal. b. *"And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven"*. The earthly Jerusalem was referred to as the city of the Great King (Psalm 48:2, Matthew 5:35). This is referring to the Millennium holy Jerusalem from where Jesus will rule the whole world physically. John the apostle said that Jerusalem ceased to exist, but gave way to a completely New Jerusalem. This New Jerusalem was seen coming *"out of heaven"*. Obviously, it is seen coming from the third heaven which is the eternal throne of God. He used the imagery of the beauty of a bride coming to meet the husband to describe the beauty of heaven. This is the best description human language can give. *Prepared as a bride adorned for her husband"*. He then heard the voice of God announcing the plan of God right from eternity. What was that plan? That God will physically, live among men as King over loving subjects; as Father over His children in a happy family set up and as God over His redeemed and people. *"And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God"*. This is the beginning of heaven, happy and holy eternity. *Question* Are you getting prepared for heaven in the practical sense of it? If Not, then you don't actually, believe in heaven. *2. Pacification with Happiness* a. The Apostle further gave a glimpse of how we will feel in heaven. *"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes"*. Tears of sorrow, anguish, lost loved ones, physical and psychological pains, etc.will all be forgotten. This is difficult to imagine for man. It is like imagining how God promised that *"your sins and iniquities will I remember no more"*. We don't have a problem with God forgiving our sins, but God forgetting our sins will be difficult to imagine. We will all forget the painful past as we will be overwhelmed with the glory of God for eternity. *"There shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away"*. The pains and the tears, called *"light afflictions"* will be for a moment. They will not survive the joy of eternity. b. For those who have difficulty with believing, *"he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful"*. Heaven is prepared already. When Jesus Christ was about going to heaven, He assured the disciples of going to build mansions for them. About 60 years later, when John saw the revelation, he was told by the Lord that it was done. It means it is a settled and concluded matter. *"And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end"*. In heaven there will not be any heat or tension, but total refreshments and happiness. *"I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely"*. Everything God has will be totally ours. All the gifts of God, physical or spiritual, will belong to us as possessions. Nothing needed or useful will be denied. We suffer different lacks while on earth. Heaven will be the opposite. *"He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son"*. Are you an overcomer over sin, Satan and all his temptations? *Question* What are the things you are suffering on earth? Do you see them as temporary? *3. Punishment of Hell* What are the things that will disqualify any from entering heaven? What would be the abode of those who will miss heaven? The answer is fearful. *"But the fearful, and unbelieving"*. Every evil action stems from fear and unbelief. Unbelief of what God has spoken and the consequences of disobedience, fear of man and what man can do are terrible paralysing feelings that draw men to perdition. *"And the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars"*. Notice that all those sins are now also found inside the Church among professing saints. So there will be eternal surprises when those who profess that heaven is their home find themselves in a totally different place called hell. They *"shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone*. *Question* Are you transparently free from all sins? *Prayer Points* 1.Give praises to God that you are in that number saved by grace 🙏. 2.Ask God to search your life, expose, purge and cleanse you from all disqualifying habits 🙏. 3.Pray that the vision of heaven will get brighter and brighter to you and your mind and affections will be focused on heavenly things 🙏. 4.Pray that all believers will be delivered from all forms of self deception and will take entering heaven more seriously 🙏. *HYMN:* How Beautiful Heaven Must Be. *BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:* JOB 16-18. [12/08, 8:10 pm] Pastor Attah: ```DAILY Ⓜ️ANNA - (A DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE FOR ADULTS) THURSDAY 13TH AUGUST, 2026``` *SHORT SHELF-LIFE OF PAIN* 📓📖🎚️🫵🏽🙋🏽‍♂️🙋🏽‍♀️😢😭🧎🏽🧎🏽‍♀️🙏🏽🙌🏽 📜📜```TEXT:REVELATION 21:1-8```📜📜 🔑📖```KEY VERSE:``` _*"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away" (REVELATION 21:4).*_ *John Harper, a Scottish Baptist pastor and evangelist, died on the _RMS Titanic_ in 1912. His last words, as testified by survivors, were "I have seen heaven, and it is beautiful" and "Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved." Despite his death, Harper used his final moments to preach the gospel, expressing his deep assurance that beyond death lay a place of eternal peace. A rescued survivor testified that Harper, clinging to the wreckage, asked if he was saved and urged him to believe in Jesus Christ. The survivor later accepted Christ and called himself "the last convert of John Harper."* *Today's passage paints a breath-taking vision of the new heaven and new earth. John sees the Holy City, the New Jerusalem, descending from God, adorned like a bride. A powerful voice declares that God will dwell among His people, wiping away every tear. Death, mourning, crying, and pain will be gone forever. The former things will pass away, and everything will be made new. God, the Alpha and Omega, promises the water of life to those who thirst. But He also warns that those who reject Him (those living in sin, fear, unbelief) will face eternal separation in the lake of fire.* *In this world, we experience suffering in many forms such as loss, illness, disappointment, pain and injustice. But for those who belong to Christ, these trials are temporary. Christ assures us that a glorious future awaits us, one where God Himself will comfort us, and all suffering will cease. This hope should encourage believers to endure hardships with faith, knowing that one day, we will step into a place where joy is endless and pain is no more. It also calls us to live righteously, rejecting sin and embracing the promise of eternity with God.* *No matter what trials you face today, hold unto the hope of heaven. Let this promise strengthen your faith, drive you to share the gospel, and encourage you to live in readiness for Christ's return. A day is coming when all suffering will cease and there will be no more tears, pain or death.
