• THE ADVENT TRUTH
The debate over Junia has become one of the most common arguments used to justify women serving as pastors. But before anyone builds an entire doctrine on Romans 16:7, we should slow down and ask: What does the text actually say?

First, we don’t even know with absolute certainty that Junia was female. The earliest Greek manuscripts were written in all capital letters without accent marks. Those manuscripts do not distinguish between the feminine Junia and the masculine Junias. The accents that identify the name as feminine were added centuries later. Many scholars believe the name is feminine, while others argue it could be masculine. The point is simple: the evidence isn’t so clear that this verse should overturn the broader testimony of Scripture.

Second, even if Junia was a woman, Romans 16:7 still does not prove she held the office of pastor or elder. The Greek phrase can legitimately be translated either as “well known to the apostles” or “outstanding among the apostles.” Both renderings have scholarly support.

Third, the word apostolos simply means “one who is sent.” In the New Testament it is used in more than one way. Jesus is called an Apostle (Hebrews 3:1). The Twelve were apostles. Paul was an apostle. Barnabas is called an apostle (Acts 14:14), and Epaphroditus is literally called “your apostle” in Philippians 2:25 (though many English versions translate it “messenger”). The word does not always refer to the governing office established by Christ.

Finally, Romans 16 never calls her an elder, overseer, bishop, or pastor. When Scripture specifically gives the qualifications for those offices in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1, it lays out a consistent pattern.

A single debated name, a debated translation, and a debated use of the word “apostle” are not enough to overturn the clear pattern of Scripture. Sound doctrine is built by harmonizing all the evidence—not by allowing one difficult verse to reinterpret the rest of the Bible.

  • The Closed Doors
The closed doors are not the doors of our churches, but they may be our hearts, because the real door of every person is his "heart".
For the Lord said to the bishop of Laodicea: "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me."
And the Lord added: "To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne." (Rev 3:20-21)
Jesus is knocking on our hearts, let us open the door for Him.
We, my brethren, are the body of Christ, whose doors cannot be closed by an external force, like the authority and power of the present age, because we are in the Holy Spirit where there is no obstacle before the Spirit of the Holy God.
So let us open our hearts forever and ever.

  • Saturday Morning Prayer!
    Heavenly Father,
On this blessed Saturday morning, we come before Your throne with grateful hearts, thanking You for carrying us through another week. Lord, Your Word declares, "It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness." (Lamentations 3:22–23, KJV) Thank You for Your unfailing mercy, amazing grace, and steadfast love that has sustained us through every trial, challenge, and victory.
Father, many of us have come to the end of a long and demanding week feeling physically tired, mentally exhausted, emotionally drained, and spiritually weary. But Jesus, You lovingly said, "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28, KJV) Today we come to You, laying every burden, every worry, every disappointment, and every care at Your feet.
Lord, Your Word tells us to "Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee." (Psalm 55:22, KJV) Therefore, we surrender every concern to You. Replace our anxiety with Your perfect peace, our weakness with Your strength, and our discouragement with renewed hope.
Father, renew us according to Your promise, for "They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." (Isaiah 40:31, KJV) Strengthen every weary heart, refresh every tired mind, restore every aching body, and revive every spirit by the power of Your Holy Spirit.
Lord, forgive us for every sin committed knowingly and unknowingly. As 1 John 1:9 (KJV) declares, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." Wash us in the precious blood of Jesus, create in us clean hearts, and renew a right spirit within us.
Father, we lift up every family before You. Let Your peace reign in every home. Heal broken relationships, strengthen marriages, protect our children and grandchildren, and remind us of Your promise: "The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore." (Psalm 121:8, KJV)
Lord, we pray for those who are sick in body. Stretch forth Your healing hand, for "I am the Lord that healeth thee." (Exodus 15:26, KJV) We stand on Your Word that "by whose stripes ye were healed." (1 Peter 2:24, KJV) Touch every person battling sickness, disease, pain, or weakness, and let Your healing virtue flow through every part of their body.
Father, bless those seeking employment, believing for promotions, financial breakthroughs, and open doors. Your Word says, "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:19, KJV) Open doors that no one can shut and pour out blessings that there will not be room enough to receive.
As we prepare for worship this weekend, pour out Your Spirit upon every church. Anoint every bishop, pastor, elder, minister, deacon, musician, praise team member, usher, greeter, teacher, and servant. Let souls be saved, lives transformed, and Your name glorified. Let Your Word go forth with power, for "the word of God is quick, and powerful." (Hebrews 4:12, KJV)
Father, order our steps today according to Psalm 37:23 (KJV): "The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord." Protect us wherever we go, because "The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them." (Psalm 34:7, KJV) Keep us safe from danger seen and unseen.
Finally, Lord, we stand upon Your promise that "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." (Psalm 46:1, KJV) We boldly declare that "No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper." (Isaiah 54:17, KJV) We believe this Saturday will be filled with Your peace, favor, joy, divine opportunities, healing, and unexpected blessings.
We thank You because You are faithful. We trust You with our families, our health, our finances, our future, and every detail of our lives. We give You all the glory, honor, and praise.
In the mighty, matchless, and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray.
    Amen.

  • St. Cajetan

St. Cajetan was born on October 1, 1480 and his baptismal name was Gaetano dei Contidi Tiene. He studied law in Padua and got a degree on civil and cannon law at age 24 years. He was working as a diplomat in the Venetian Republic for Pope Julius-II. He was ordained as a priest during the year 1516. He founded a congregation named “The Oratory of Divine Love”. The Bishop of Chieti diocese, Giovanni Pietro Carafa was the first superior of this Oratory, who later became Pope Pius-IV. The members of the Oratory are also called as “theatines” in the name of the city of Chieti, which is called as “Theate” in Latin. In the year 1533 he founded a house in Naples to fight against Lutheranism and to check its spreading. When he fell ill, he slept on a wooden board. When the doctors told him to take rest on a comfortable bed, he refused and said that his savior died on a cross and at least let him die on wood. He died on August 7, 1547.

He was beatified by Pope Urban-VIII on October 8, 1629 and also canonized on April 12, 1671. He is the patron saint of workers, job seekers and un-employed people.

  • BUILDING STRONG WALLS

As I celebrate another year of God's faithfulness, I don't want to receive only birthday wishes I also want to give a gift. My gift is this simple reflection, prayerfully shared for our growth, encouragement, and edification in Christ.

Life is not ultimately about us. It is about knowing God, reflecting His character, and becoming a blessing to humanity. The quality of our relationship with God is often revealed in the way we treat the people He has placed around us.

    > "He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls." Proverbs 25:28

A city without walls is vulnerable. In the same way, our hearts become vulnerable when the walls of godly character are neglected.

    > "Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life." Proverbs 4:23

    1. Build Strong Walls

Every believer is called to build strong spiritual walls not walls that keep people out, but walls that protect our hearts and preserve God's work in our lives.

Strong walls are built through a daily walk with God and a lifestyle that reflects Christ.

    > "Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it." Psalm 127:1

    > "Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong." 1 Corinthians 16:13

    2. Broken Walls Create Open Doors

When our walls are weakened by anger, bitterness, pride, strife, unforgiveness, harsh words, or selfishness, we create opportunities for unnecessary conflicts and temptations.

    > "Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil." Ephesians 4:26–27

The enemy looks for opportunities, but he cannot easily gain access where our hearts are guarded by God's truth and love.

    > "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour." 1 Peter 5:8

    3. Be Spiritually Sensitive

God has already given us powerful tools to protect our walls:

    Joy

    Peace

    Righteousness

    Love

    Kindness

    Humility

    A forgiving heart

    > "For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost." Romans 14:17

    > "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance." Galatians 5:22–23

When we neglect these gifts, we often blame the devil for battles that began with unguarded hearts. While spiritual warfare is real, many victories begin by allowing the Holy Spirit to shape our character.

    Protect Your Relationships

You cannot genuinely pursue intimacy with God while intentionally neglecting your relationships with people.

    > "If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar." 1 John 4:20

    > "Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord." Hebrews 12:14

As much as it depends on you, pursue peace.

    > "If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men." Romans 12:18

If someone tells you that you have hurt them, don't become defensive immediately. Listen with humility. If an explanation is needed, give it with love. If an apology is needed, offer it sincerely.

Sometimes, "I'm sorry" does not reduce your dignity, it reflects the humility of Christ and helps restore what could have been broken.

    > "With all lowliness and meekness, with long suffering, forbearing one another in love." Ephesians 4:2

    Keep Your Heart Tender

Do not harden your heart or pretend nothing happened when someone lovingly expresses that they have been hurt.

    > "Today if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts." Hebrews 3:15

Kind words heal. Gentle responses restore. Humility keeps relationships alive.

    > "A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger." Proverbs 15:1

    > "Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones." Proverbs 16:24

Sometimes, your willingness to apologize may become the very testimony that preserves another person's faith and encourages them to keep trusting God.

Let Your Worship Match Your Character

Our prayers, worship, and service become even more beautiful when they are accompanied by love, forgiveness, and reconciliation.

    > "First be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift." Matthew 5:23–24

A heart that is quick to forgive and quick to seek peace shines brightly before God and before people.

    > "Forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you." Ephesians 4:32

    Remember Your Witness

People may first encounter Jesus through your attitude before they ever hear your message.

Our words may introduce Christ, but our character often confirms Him.

    > "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." Matthew 5:16

Christianity is not merely about appearing spiritual; it is about allowing the life of Jesus Christ to be seen through us so that God is glorified and people are drawn closer to Him.

    > "He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked." 1 John 2:6

    Walk in Humility

There are moments when we may believe someone has offended us, only to discover that we were actually the ones who caused the hurt.

Humility gives us the courage to examine ourselves honestly. Pride seeks to be justified; love seeks restoration.

    > "God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble." James 4:6

    > "Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves." Philippians 2:3

May we always choose reconciliation over being right, peace over pride, and grace over resentment.

    My Birthday Prayer

As I celebrate another year today, my prayer is not only that God blesses me, but that He helps every one of us build strong walls of love, humility, peace, righteousness, joy, and Christlike character.

May our lives become safe places where God is honored and people experience His love through us.

    > "Now the God of peace... make you perfect in every good work to do his will." Hebrews 13:20–21

    > "And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness." Colossians 3:14

Thank you for being part of my journey.

May Christ continue to build us into people whose lives point others to Him.

    > "Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy." Jude 24

Happy Birthday to me, and may this new season be one of deeper love for God and greater compassion for humanity.

Grace and peace be multiplied to you all. AmenMY BIRTHDAY GIFT TO YOU

May this new season be one of deeper love for God and greater compassion for humanity.

Grace and peace be multiplied to you all. Amen.

BUILDING STRONG WALLS As I celebrate another year of God's faithfulness, I don't want to receive only birthday wishes I also want to give a gift. > "He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls." Proverbs 25:28 A city without walls is vulnerable. In the same way, our hearts become vulnerable when the walls of godly character are neglected. > "Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life." Proverbs 4:23 1. Build Strong Walls Every believer is called to build strong spiritual walls not walls that keep people out, but walls that protect our hearts and preserve God's work in our lives. Strong walls are built through a daily walk with God and a lifestyle that reflects Christ. > "Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it." Psalm 127:1 > "Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong." 1 Corinthians 16:13 2. Broken Walls Create Open Doors When our walls are weakened by anger, bitterness, pride, strife, unforgiveness, harsh words, or selfishness, we create opportunities for unnecessary conflicts and temptations. > "Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil." Ephesians 4:26–27 The enemy looks for opportunities, but he cannot easily gain access where our hearts are guarded by God's truth and love. > "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour." 1 Peter 5:8 3. Be Spiritually Sensitive God has already given us powerful tools to protect our walls: Joy Peace Righteousness Love Kindness Humility A forgiving heart > "For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost." Romans 14:17 > "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance." Galatians 5:22–23 When we neglect these gifts, we often blame the devil for battles that began with unguarded hearts. While spiritual warfare is real, many victories begin by allowing the Holy Spirit to shape our character. Protect Your Relationships You cannot genuinely pursue intimacy with God while intentionally neglecting your relationships with people. > "If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar." 1 John 4:20 > "Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord." • BUILDING STRONG WALLS

> "If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar." 1 John 4:20 > "Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord." Hebrews 12:14 As much as it depends on you, pursue peace. > "If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men." Romans 12:18 If someone tells you that you have hurt them, don't become defensive immediately. Listen with humility. If an explanation is needed, give it with love. If an apology is needed, offer it sincerely. Sometimes, "I'm sorry" does not reduce your dignity, it reflects the humility of Christ and helps restore what could have been broken. > "With all lowliness and meekness, with long suffering, forbearing one another in love." Ephesians 4:2 Keep Your Heart Tender Do not harden your heart or pretend nothing happened when someone lovingly expresses that they have been hurt. > "Today if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts." Hebrews 3:15 Kind words heal. Gentle responses restore. Humility keeps relationships alive. > "A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger." Proverbs 15:1 > "Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones." Proverbs 16:24 Sometimes, your willingness to apologize may become the very testimony that preserves another person's faith and encourages them to keep trusting God. Let Your Worship Match Your Character Our prayers, worship, and service become even more beautiful when they are accompanied by love, forgiveness, and reconciliation. > "First be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift." Matthew 5:23–24 A heart that is quick to forgive and quick to seek peace shines brightly before God and before people. > "Forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you." Ephesians 4:32 Remember Your Witness People may first encounter Jesus through your attitude before they ever hear your message. Our words may introduce Christ, but our character often confirms Him. > "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." Matthew 5:16 Christianity is not merely about appearing spiritual; it is about allowing the life of Jesus Christ to be seen through us so that God is glorified and people are drawn closer to Him. > "He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked." 1 John 2:6 Walk in Humility There are moments when we may believe someone has offended us, only to discover that we were actually the ones who caused the hurt. Humility gives us the courage to examine ourselves honestly. Pride seeks to be justified; love seeks restoration. > "God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble." James 4:6 > "Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves." Philippians 2:3 May we always choose reconciliation over being right, peace over pride, and grace over resentment. My Birthday Prayer As I celebrate another year today, my prayer is not only that God blesses me, but that He helps every one of us build strong walls of love, humility, peace, righteousness, joy, and Christlike character. May our lives become safe places where God is honored and people experience His love through us. > "Now the God of peace... make you perfect in every good work to do his will." Hebrews 13:20–21 > "And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness." Colossians 3:14 Thank you for being part of my journey. May Christ continue to build us into people whose lives point others to Him. > "Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy." Jude 24 Happy Birthday to me, and may this new season be one of deeper love for God and greater compassion for humanity. Grace and peace be multiplied to you all.

> "Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy." Jude 24 May this new season be one of deeper love for God and greater compassion for humanity. Grace and peace be multiplied to you all. Amen. Bishop Arnold
