MONDAY MORNING PRAYER A LIVING EXAMPLE Key Scripture — 1 Timothy 4:12 (KJV) “Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.” Father God, in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, We come before You this Monday morning with grateful hearts. Thank You for waking us up, giving us another day, another week, and another opportunity to represent You. Lord, after the powerful Sunday morning service You blessed us to experience, don't let us leave Your Word in the sanctuary. Let us LIVE what we heard! Don't let Sunday be the only day we look like believers. Let Monday reveal that something happened in us on Sunday! Your Word declares, “Be thou an example of the believers.” So Father, make our lives a living example—a pattern that points people toward Jesus Christ. LORD, MAKE US AN EXAMPLE IN OUR SPEECH! Father, put a guard over our mouths. Before we speak, help us ask whether our words will glorify You. Your Word declares, “He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life.” — Proverbs 13:3 Deliver us from gossip, complaining, lying, backbiting, disrespect, and words spoken out of anger. Give us wisdom to know when to speak, what to speak, and when to remain silent. Let our mouths speak truth instead of deception, encouragement instead of discouragement, healing instead of hurt, and life instead of death. LORD, MAKE US AN EXAMPLE IN OUR CONDUCT! Father, let our behavior match our confession. We don't want to shout one way on Sunday and live another way on Monday. We don't want to lift holy hands in worship and then use those same hands for ungodly things. Let our commitment to Christ govern our lives. Give us wisdom concerning our connections and companions. Strengthen our biblical convictions. And help us make godly choices, even when nobody is watching. As Ephesians 4:24 teaches us, help us “put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.” LORD, MAKE US AN EXAMPLE IN LOVE! Teach us to love like Jesus. Your Word says, “And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us.” — Ephesians 5:2 Father, help us love beyond feelings. Help us love when it is inconvenient. Help us forgive when we've been hurt. Help us show mercy when we could retaliate. According to Ephesians 4:32, make us “kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another.” Let somebody encounter the love of Jesus today simply because they encountered us. LORD, MAKE US AN EXAMPLE IN FAITH! Father, when circumstances tell us to panic, teach us to trust You. When the report looks bad—we will believe You. When the money looks funny—we will believe You. When doors appear closed—we will believe You. When our families face trouble—we will believe You. When our bodies are under attack—we will believe You. When we cannot see the way forward—we will still believe You! Jesus said in Mark 5:36, “Be not afraid, only believe.” So this Monday morning, we choose FAITH OVER FEAR! Hebrews 11:6 reminds us that without faith it is impossible to please You. Therefore, strengthen our faith to trust You even when we don't understand what You're doing. LORD, MAKE US AN EXAMPLE IN PURITY! Father, purify our hearts, our motives, our thoughts, our desires, our relationships, and our private lives. We pray the prayer of David: “Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.” — Psalm 51:10 Give us clean hands and pure hearts. Remove anything from us that does not resemble Jesus. Search us. Correct us. Convict us. Cleanse us. And when temptation comes, give us strength to say NO to the flesh and YES to Your will. Lord, we don't simply want to talk about holiness—we want to live holy. FATHER, DON'T LET US NEGLECT OUR GIFT! Your Word says in 1 Timothy 4:14, “Neglect not the gift that is in thee.” So stir up every gift You've placed inside of us! Somebody has been sitting on their calling—stir them up! Somebody has allowed fear to silence them—stir them up! Somebody has become discouraged—strengthen them! Somebody has been comparing themselves to others—remind them who You called them to be! Give us discipline to read Your Word, study Your Word, obey Your Word, teach Your Word, and live Your Word. Father, as we enter this new week, let our Christianity be more than something we say. Let it become something people can see. At home—make us a living example. On our jobs—make us a living example. In our marriages—make us a living example. Before our children—make us a living example. In our churches—make us a living example. On social media—make us a living example. Even when nobody is watching—make us a living example! Lord, somebody is watching how we handle pressure. Somebody is watching how we respond when we're mistreated. Somebody is watching how we walk through adversity. LET THEM SEE JESUS IN US! May our speech honor You. May our conduct represent You. May our love reflect You. May our faith trust You. May our purity please You. And when this week is over, may it be said that we didn't merely hear a powerful Word on Sunday— WE BECAME A LIVING EXAMPLE OF THAT WORD ON MONDAY! We declare that this week our lives will preach before our mouths ever open! We will walk in godliness. We will walk in wisdom. We will walk in love. We will walk by faith. We will walk in purity. This is the day that the Lord has made, and in South-East Queensland it is a beautiful sunny day. Even if a day looks dreary or stormy, Rejoice! There is beauty in all seasons, God has blessed us with diversity in nature and we marvel at the work of His hands, but when the diversity is in people, most people question, judge or condemn that diversity. My newest nephew has Down Syndrome. He is such a beautiful treasure. My husband calls it the 'happy gene' because these people are always so happy. That is a difference that can be seen. Autism is so different in every person and so not every one understands. My daughter had a bullying incident two years ago. Girls were ignoring her, and hurting her for a few weeks before a teacher caught it. Later that same year someone placed chewing gum in her raincoat and it ended up in her hair. With the first incident, the teacher asked the three girls why they were doing what they were doing to Alicia and their answer was "She started it! We were just showing her how it feels!" At the time these kids knew her mind worked differently. They had all been with her since their first year of school and those teachers' all explained how an Autistic mind doesn't work the same way. These girls weren't teaching my daughter anything. When I was told I felt in my spirit (and I still do) that their behaviour had nothing to do with what my daughter 'may have done'. They wanted someone to bully and they chose my daughter because she couldn't comprehend or communicate what they were doing. She thought it was their way of playing. They thought they could get away with it. In public when my daughter gets over-stimulated and has trouble regulating, I have heard comments about 'not being able to control my children', or that my children are 'spoiled'. A lot of people still think these Neurodivergent blessings just need some 'old-school discipline'. Or that they can be cured. It is not something that needs to be fixed. What needs to be fixed is people's ignorance. Ignorance is the real deformity in this world. So to all parents out there who are dealing with the ignorant like I am. I see you! God sees you! You're doing great. To those that aren't please try to be patient when you see our blessings waving there arms around, putting their hands over their ears because we forgot their headphones, or screaming because their minds have overloaded. We don't need your condemnation or pity, we need your grace and understanding. And these blessings are always in the presence of God. Sometimes I think my daughter can see angels.

Discipline with Dignity ‎"No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace." – Hebrews 12:11 ‎ ‎Correction is hard. For them and for us. But I'm learning that discipline isn't about punishment—it's about redirection. It's saying, "I love you too much to let you stay on this path." ‎ ‎Today, I'm asking: Is my correction pointing them toward restoration, or just making them feel small? The goal isn't a perfectly behaved child—it's a redeemed heart. ‎

Sunday, 6th September, 2026 TITLE: "OBEY GOD'S WORD: WALK IN THE PATHWAY OF BLESSING" ANCHOR SCRIPTURE(S) Deuteronomy 28:1–2 (KJV) "And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God." John 14:15 (KJV) "If ye love me, keep my commandments." QUOTE TO REFLECT ON “Obedience is love expressed through action, and God's blessings follow the path of faithful obedience.” DAY'S REFLECTION Deuteronomy says “hearken diligently”—meaning to listen carefully and take God's Word seriously. It is not enough to hear God's instructions; we must “observe and do” them. Jesus connects love with obedience: “If ye love me, keep my commandments.” True love for Christ is demonstrated by how we live, not merely by what we say. Life experience teaches us that ignoring instructions can bring unnecessary trouble, while following the right instructions can protect us and lead us to better outcomes. In the same way, God's commandments are not designed to restrict us but to guide and protect us. Obedience may require sacrifice, patience, or discipline, but it positions us to walk in God's will and experience His favour. TOPIC : BRING YOUR BODY UNDER SUBJECTION ✨ I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service (Romans 12:1). Having understood that your spirit is the Most Holy Place and must take the lead, with your soul trained to follow, there’s one more vital area to address: your body. Your body doesn’t automatically align with the life of God in your spirit; it must be brought under control. That’s why the Word says, “…present your bodies a living sacrifice…” (Romans 12:1). God has done His part in recreating your spirit but the yielding of your body, presenting it to Him as a living sacrifice, is your responsibility. The Apostle Paul gives further insight: “But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection…” (1 Corinthians 9:27). This means the body must be disciplined and trained to align with your spirit. The body has its tendencies; it responds to sensations, appetites and external stimuli. It wants to act based on what it feels. But you’re a spirit being, not a body; you live in a body. Therefore, you can’t let your senses rule you. The Bible says, “For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die…” (Romans 8:13). To live after the flesh is to be governed by the body and its impulses, but that’s not your life. You live by the Spirit, and as the concluding part of Romans 8:13 declares, “…if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.” That means through the Holy Ghost, you put to death the activities of the body, override its impulses, and bring it into alignment with God’s will and purpose. This isn’t suppression; it’s mastery. Your spirit, one with the Holy Spirit and filled with the life of God, takes charge. Your soul, renewed by the Word, agrees. Then your body is brought into obedience. This is the complete order of the Christian life: spirit, soul and body in alignment with the Word of God. Don’t let your body dictate your life or control your responses. Whether it’s weakness, appetite, or any form of pressure; take charge from your spirit. Present your body to God. Make it serve His purpose. If you feel symptoms of sickness, declare, “No! My body is the temple of the Holy Spirit; therefore, it’s immune to sickness, disease and infirmities.” Refuse to allow sickness in your body; it’s part of keeping your body aligned and yielded to God. FURTHER STUDY 1 Corinthians 9:27 AMPC But [like a boxer] I buffet my body [handle it roughly, discipline it by hardships] and subdue it, for fear that after proclaiming to others the Gospel and things pertaining to it, I myself should become unfit [not stand the test, be unapproved and rejected as a counterfeit]. Romans 8:12-13 NIV Therefore, brothers and sisters, we have an obligation—but it is not to the flesh, to live according to it. [13] For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live. TODAY'S KINGDOM INSIGHTS: SERMON TOPIC: THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE FIRST SUNDAY OF SEPTEMBER. Theme: “A New Season, A New Beginning, A New Opportunity” Key Texts: 📖 Lamentations 3:22–23 📖 Isaiah 43:18–19 📖 Philippians 3:13–14 📖 Psalm 65:11. 🔥THE MONTH HAS CHANGED—WHAT ABOUT YOU? Beloved, today is not just another Sunday. It is the first Sunday of a new month—September. September represents a transition. We are moving further into the year. The months are advancing, and time is moving. But there is an important question we must ask ourselves: > “The calendar has changed, but has anything changed in my life?” Many people enter a new month carrying the same fear, the same bitterness, the same laziness, the same sin, the same unbelief and the same excuses. A new month alone cannot change a person. A changed mind, renewed faith, obedience to God and deliberate action can produce a changed life. Today, God is giving us an opportunity to pause and say: “Lord, as I enter this new season, let something change in me and through me.” The first Sunday of September is therefore an opportunity for reflection, renewal, rededication and fresh commitment to God. 📖 KEY SCRIPTURE: LAMENTATIONS 3:22–23. > “It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.” The fact that you are alive today is not an accident. You may have lost something, faced disappointment, experienced delay or encountered challenges this year. But you are still here. That means God's mercy has carried you into another month. Every new day and every new season is an opportunity to experience the faithfulness of God again. 1. THE FIRST SUNDAY OF SEPTEMBER IS A TIME OF THANKSGIVING 📖 Psalm 103:2 > “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits.” Before asking God for what is ahead, remember what He has already done. You may not have achieved everything you planned, but consider: You are alive. God has preserved you. You have survived challenges. You have seen another month. You still have hope. You can still pray. You can still make better decisions. Some battles God fought for you without your knowledge. Some accidents never happened because God prevented them. Some doors that closed were actually protecting you. DEEP INSIGHT. Gratitude helps us see God's faithfulness even when life is not yet perfect. Do not wait until everything is complete before you thank God. Thank Him because you are still in the journey. 2. THE FIRST SUNDAY OF SEPTEMBER IS A TIME FOR REFLECTION 📖 Haggai 1:5 > “Consider your ways.” September is an excellent time to stop and examine your life. Ask yourself: What have I done with the months God has given me? Am I growing spiritually? Have I become closer to God? What habits are helping me? What habits are destroying me? What must I change? A wise person does not only look at the calendar. A wise person examines his life. DEEP INSIGHT. You cannot correct what you refuse to examine. If your prayer life is weak, admit it. If your relationship with God is growing cold, admit it. If laziness is affecting your destiny, admit it. If unforgiveness is poisoning your heart, deal with it. Honest reflection is the beginning of genuine change. 3. THE FIRST SUNDAY OF SEPTEMBER IS A CALL TO LEAVE THE PAST BEHIND 📖 Isaiah 43:18–19 > “Remember ye not the former things... Behold, I will do a new thing.” Some people enter every new season carrying the pain of an old season. They cannot move forward because their hearts are still imprisoned by yesterday. Perhaps: Someone disappointed you. You failed in something. You lost an opportunity. Your plans did not work. Someone hurt you. You made mistakes. But hear this: Your past is a chapter of your life, but it does not have to become the conclusion of your life. The enemy wants you to live permanently in regret. But God can give you a new beginning. 📖 Philippians 3:13 > “...forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before.” You cannot move forward while constantly looking backward. September is saying: “There is still time to rise again.” 4. THE FIRST SUNDAY OF SEPTEMBER IS A CALL TO RENEW YOUR COMMITMENT TO GOD. 📖 Romans 12:1–2 > “Present your bodies a living sacrifice... and be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind.” A new month should not only produce new wishes. It should produce new commitment. This is the time to say: Lord, I will take my prayer life seriously. I will study Your Word. I will overcome that sinful habit. I will become more disciplined. I will serve You faithfully. I will love people better. I will use my time wisely. DEEP SPIRITUAL INSIGHT. Revival does not begin when the church becomes crowded. Revival begins when the heart becomes surrendered. God is not looking only for people who want blessings. He is looking for people who are willing to become better disciples. 5. THE FIRST SUNDAY OF SEPTEMBER REMINDS US THAT THERE IS STILL TIME TO FULFIL PURPOSE. 📖 Psalm 90:12 > “So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.” Do not waste the remaining months of the year. Do not say: > “The year is almost gone.” Instead say: > “Lord, what can I still do with the time remaining?” A few months can make a major difference. A person can: Start a new discipline. Repair a relationship. Complete an important assignment. Learn something valuable. Start a meaningful project. Return seriously to God. Develop a stronger prayer life. Remember this: You may not be able to change the beginning of the year, but you can still influence how you finish it. 📖 BIBLICAL CASE STUDY: THE PRODIGAL SON. Luke 15:11–24 The prodigal son wasted his inheritance. He made terrible decisions. He lost his resources. He experienced shame and suffering. But one day, something changed. Luke 15:17 says: > “And when he came to himself...” That was his turning point. He reflected. He realized where he had gone wrong. Then he made a decision: > “I will arise and go to my father.” The most powerful moment in his story was not when he received his inheritance. It was when he came to his senses and decided to return. And when he returned, the father received him. LESSONS. No matter how far you have gone, you can still return to God. No matter how much time you have wasted, you can still begin again. No matter how many mistakes you have made, God's grace is still available. 📝 PRACTICAL ACTION STEPS FOR SEPTEMBER. This week, take these five steps: 1. Thank God deliberately Spend time remembering His faithfulness from January until now. 2. Examine your life honestly Identify areas where you need spiritual and personal growth. 3. Leave one negative habit behind Do not carry everything from the past into the future. 4. Set spiritual goals Decide how you will pray, study the Bible and serve God more faithfully. 5. Take one practical step toward your purpose Do not only pray about your future. Take action. 🤔 QUESTIONS FOR REFLECTION. 1. What has God done for me that I have forgotten to appreciate? 2. What has changed in my spiritual life since the beginning of the year? 3. What mistake, habit or attitude must I leave behind? 4. Is there an area of my life that needs restoration? 5. What can I still accomplish with the remaining months of this year? 6. What fresh commitment am I making to God today? 7. If September ends exactly as August ended, what will I regret not changing? 🙏 POWERFUL PRAYER POINTS. 1. Father, thank You for preserving my life and bringing me into September. 2. Lord, let this new month mark a new beginning in my spiritual life. 3. Every negative pattern that has followed me, I refuse to carry it into this new season. 4. Lord, give me the wisdom to examine my life and correct what needs to change. 5. Father, deliver me from every habit that is wasting my time, energy and destiny. 6. Lord, restore every area of my life that has been damaged by mistakes and wrong decisions. 7. Give me the courage to leave the past behind and move forward in faith. 8. Lord, renew my hunger for prayer, Your Word and Your presence. 9. Father, help me to use the remaining months of this year wisely. 10. Every opportunity God has prepared for me, give me the wisdom and courage to recognize and use it. 11. Lord, let September become a month of spiritual growth, divine direction and purposeful living. 12. I declare that I will not end this year empty, defeated or spiritually dry, in Jesus' name. 🔥 STRONG CLOSING CALL TO ACTION. Beloved, September has arrived. The year is moving. The question is not simply: > “What will God do for me this month?” The deeper question is: > “What will I allow God to change in me this month?” Do not allow September to become another month that passes without growth. Do not merely change your calendar. Change your commitment. Do not merely announce: “Happy New Month.” Make a decision to become: A better Christian. A stronger believer. A more disciplined person. A more committed servant of God. A wiser steward of time. A person who lives intentionally. PROPHETIC DECLARATION. > As you enter this new season, may God renew your strength. May your faith not fail. May your purpose become clearer. May wasted opportunities be replaced with new opportunities. EVERYBODY, GET UPPPP☀️🙌🏻 Get up and pray. Get up and thank God for opening your eyes one more time. Get up and remind yourself that yesterday does not get to control the atmosphere of today. Whatever hurt you yesterday, whatever disappointed you, whatever had you crying, overthinking, questioning yourself, or wondering how much more you could carry… leave it there. Today is a new day. And with a new day comes new mercy, new strength, new grace, and another opportunity to keep going. I know life has felt heavy lately. I know there are things you have been carrying quietly because you do not always feel like explaining what is going on inside of you. I know you have smiled while your heart was tired. I know you have handled responsibilities while secretly wishing somebody would simply ask, “Are you okay?” I know there have been nights when your mind would not shut off and mornings when getting out of bed felt harder than anybody realized. But look at you. You are still here. You made it through another night. You opened your eyes this morning. And that alone is a reason to thank God. 🙏🏻❤️ Before you grab your phone and start scrolling, before you start thinking about bills, responsibilities, people, deadlines, problems, or everything that needs your attention today… Give God the first part of your morning. Talk to Him before the world starts talking to you. Give Him your worries before anxiety starts making a list. Give Him your plans before fear starts telling you everything that could go wrong. Give Him your heart before disappointment tries to harden it. Lamentations 3:22-23 reminds us: “It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.” 🤍 Do you hear that? NEW every morning. That means you do not have to drag yesterday’s fear into today. You do not have to keep punishing yourself for mistakes you already learned from. You do not have to wake up carrying old conversations, old hurt, old guilt, or old disappointment. God gave you another morning, and you are allowed to begin again. Every sunrise is a reminder that darkness does not last forever. Every breath is proof that your story is still being written. Every new morning is evidence that God is not finished with you yet. You may not understand everything happening in your life right now, but you do not have to understand the whole plan to trust the One who does. So get up. Wash your face. Drink some water. Open those curtains. Take a deep breath. And speak life over yourself. Stop waking up expecting something bad to happen. Stop giving fear permission to ruin a day that has not even started yet. You do not know what God may do today. You do not know what prayer may be answered. You do not know what door may open. You do not know what burden may get lighter. You do not know what conversation may bring clarity. You do not know what blessing may find its way to you. So get up and trust God. Let’s pray. 🤍✨ Heavenly Father, Thank You for waking me up this morning. Thank You for allowing me to see another day, breathe another breath, and receive another opportunity to walk with You. Thank You for protecting me through the night, even from things I never knew were around me. Thank You for the mercy I did not earn, the grace I did not deserve, and the strength You keep giving me even when I feel like I have nothing left. Lord, I give this entire day to You. Before I make plans, before I worry, before I try to figure everything out on my own, I surrender it all into Your hands. Go before me today. Order my steps. Guide my decisions. Guard my mouth. Protect my heart. Help me respond with wisdom instead of emotion. Help me recognize what deserves my attention and what deserves to be ignored. Father, I pray for every man and woman reading this right now. You know exactly what they have been carrying. You know the prayers they have whispered when nobody else was around. You know the tears they have wiped away before anybody could notice. You know what has been weighing on their minds, what has been breaking their hearts, what has been making them tired, and what they have been trying so hard to handle by themselves. Meet them there, Lord. Strengthen them where they feel weak. Comfort them where they feel wounded. Give them clarity where they feel confused. Bring peace into every place where anxiety has been trying to live. Calm the thoughts that keep racing through their minds. Help them stop expecting the worst. Help them stop replaying things they cannot change. Help them stop carrying responsibilities that were never theirs to carry in the first place. Remind them that they do not have to have everything figured out. Remind them that resting does not make them weak. Remind them that asking for help does not make them weak. Remind them that they do not have to prove their worth to anybody. Let their confidence come from knowing that You are with them, You see them, and You have not forgotten them. Protect their peace today. Protect their minds from unnecessary worry. Protect their hearts from people who do not mean them well. Protect them from distractions that look good but would pull them away from where You are trying to take them. Remove anything that is draining them, confusing them, delaying them, or disturbing the peace You are trying to give them. Father, open the right doors and shut the wrong ones. Give them discernment so they do not force what You are trying to remove. Give them patience when things are taking longer than expected. Give them faith when they cannot see the next step. Help them trust that a delay is not always denial and that silence does not mean You are absent. Bless their homes. Bless their children. Bless their families. Bless their finances. Bless the work of their hands. Give them wisdom with money, discipline with their time, and courage to make decisions that are good for their future. Bring opportunities that align with Your will for their lives. Connect them with people who are genuine, supportive, honest, and safe. Lord, heal the places in them that nobody sees. Heal the disappointment they keep pretending does not bother them. Heal the rejection that changed the way they see themselves. Heal the betrayal that made them afraid to trust again. Heal the exhaustion that came from always having to be strong. Teach them that they can be kind and still have boundaries. They can forgive and still move forward. They can love people without losing themselves. They can rest without feeling guilty. And they can start over without being ashamed of their past. Give them a peaceful morning, a productive day, and a rested spirit. Let something happen today that reminds them You are still working. Let them notice the small blessings instead of only focusing on what has not happened yet. Give them reasons to smile again. Give them moments where they can breathe deeply and realize that everything is not falling apart. And Father, when fear tries to speak louder than faith today, remind them who You are. When they start doubting themselves, remind them how far You have already brought them. When they feel alone, remind them that Your presence has never left them. When they feel overwhelmed, remind them that they only have to take this day one moment at a time. Thank You for new mercies. Thank You for another morning. Thank You for another chance. Thank You for keeping us through things we thought would break us. Today, we choose: Peace over panic. Faith over fear. Gratitude over complaining. Wisdom over impulse. Healing over bitterness. 📘 Daily Devotion — September 5 | Acts 24:25 (NKJV) 💯 Do Not Wait for a Convenient Time Paul stood before Felix and spoke about righteousness, self-control, and the judgment to come. Instead of simply telling Felix what he wanted to hear, Paul faithfully presented the truth. The message reached Felix's heart so deeply that he became afraid. Felix recognized the seriousness of what Paul was saying, but instead of responding immediately, he told Paul to leave and promised to listen at a more convenient time. He felt conviction, but he postponed his response. This passage reminds us that conviction is an opportunity to respond to God. When the Holy Spirit reveals something that needs to change in our lives, we should not assume there will always be a better or more convenient time to obey. It is easy to delay spiritual decisions. We may tell ourselves that we will pray more later, forgive someone later, change a sinful habit later, or surrender an area of our lives when circumstances become easier. But postponing obedience can cause our hearts to become increasingly resistant to God's voice. Paul's message also reminds us that God's truth addresses every part of our lives. Righteousness calls us to live rightly before God. Self-control calls us to bring our desires and actions under godly discipline. The judgment to come reminds us that our lives ultimately stand before God and that our choices matter. Today, if God is speaking to your heart about something, do not push it aside. Respond with humility and obedience. The right time to surrender to God is not when life becomes convenient. The right time is when He speaks. Reflection Questions 1. JEREMIAH 29:11 — HOPE HAS A DESTINATION “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans for peace and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” — Jeremiah 29:11 God spoke these words to the Jewish exiles in Babylon—people who had lost their homeland, their temple, their freedom, and much of what they once knew. They were living through the consequences of devastating judgment, yet God reminded them that their story was not ending in destruction. It was leading toward restoration. Sometimes we find ourselves in seasons we never expected—seasons of loss, uncertainty, discipline, waiting, and pain. But a difficult season does not mean God has abandoned you. God’s discipline had a destination: hope. What you see as a dead end, God can use as preparation. What feels like the end may be a chapter before restoration. Keep trusting Him. Keep praying. Keep walking. Your story is not over. God still has a future and a hope for you. 🕊️❤️
