• READ WITH ME – DAY 17

    Topic: Learning from Godly Parents

    Key Verse:
"My son, hear the instruction of your father, and do not forsake the law of your mother."
    — Proverbs 1:8

    Today's Reflection

One of God's greatest gifts to a child is the blessing of godly parents. Parents may not be perfect, but when they fear God and seek to raise their children according to His Word, their guidance can become a great source of wisdom.

The Bible encourages us to listen to the instruction of both our father and mother. Their correction, advice, discipline, prayers, and example can help prepare us for the future.

Sometimes, young people see correction as punishment or advice as interference. But godly parents correct because they care. They have experience that we may not yet have, and their desire should be to help us become the people God created us to be.

This does not mean every parent is perfect. Parents can make mistakes too. But instead of focusing only on their weaknesses, learn to appreciate the godly lessons and sacrifices they make for you.

If your parents are not yet walking with God, do not be discouraged. Pray for them, honour them, and continue to follow Christ. God can use your life as a light in your family.

    Today's Takeaway:
God often speaks words of wisdom through godly parents. A wise child listens, learns, and grows.

    Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the parents and guardians You have placed in my life. Help me to honour them, listen to godly instruction, and appreciate their sacrifices. Give me a humble heart that receives correction with wisdom. Bless my parents with strength, wisdom, and grace. In Jesus' name, Amen.

  • TODAY'S KINGDOM INSIGHTS

RAISING GODLY CHILDREN IN MODERN TIMES

    SERMON TEXT:

    Deuteronomy 6:6–7

«"These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children..."»

THE GREATEST LEGACY IS NOT WEALTH, BUT GODLINESS

We live in a generation where children are surrounded by influences that compete for their hearts. Social media, entertainment, peer pressure, and worldly ideologies speak to them every day. Many parents work hard to provide food, education, and comfort, yet neglect the spiritual formation of their children.
A child may know mathematics, science, and technology, yet remain ignorant of God. Such success is incomplete.
The future of the Church, the family, and society depends largely on how we raise today's children. God has never called schools, governments, or social media to disciple our children first. He has entrusted that responsibility to parents and guardians.
The question is not merely, "Are our children growing?" but "Are they growing in Christ?"

    KEY BIBLE VERSES

    1. Deuteronomy 6:6–7
God instructed Israel to teach His Word diligently to their children at home, while traveling, before sleeping, and after waking. Godly parenting is not a Sunday activity—it is a daily lifestyle.

    Lesson:
Faith is best transferred through consistent living, not occasional teaching.
    2. Proverbs 22:6
«"Train up a child in the way he should go..."»

Training requires patience, correction, instruction, and repetition. Children rarely become godly accidentally.
    3. Ephesians 6:4
«"Bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord."»
Parents are called not only to discipline but also to nurture with love, wisdom, and grace.
    4. Psalm 127:3
    «"Children are a heritage from the Lord."»
Children are not burdens; they are God's precious gifts entrusted to our care.
POINT ONE: BE THE EXAMPLE YOU WANT YOUR CHILDREN TO FOLLOW
Children learn more from what they see than from what they hear.
If they see prayer, they will value prayer.
If they see honesty, they will learn integrity.
If they see forgiveness, they will understand mercy.
If they see hypocrisy, they may reject the faith altogether.
Our lives are the first Bible many children will ever read.
POINT TWO: BUILD A GOD-CENTERED HOME
A godly home does not happen by accident.
    Create an atmosphere where:
    - Prayer is normal.
    - The Bible is read together.
    - Worship is practiced.
    - God is discussed openly.
    - Love and forgiveness are evident.
When Christ is the center of the home, children grow with spiritual stability.
POINT THREE: DISCIPLINE WITH LOVE, NOT ANGER
Biblical discipline is meant to restore, not to destroy.
    Correction without love produces fear.
    Love without correction produces rebellion.
God disciplines those He loves, and parents should reflect His heart through patient and wise correction.
POINT FOUR: GUARD THEIR HEARTS FROM UNGODLY INFLUENCES
Modern technology is useful, but it must never replace parental guidance.
Children today face constant exposure to harmful content through phones, television, gaming, and the internet.
    Parents must:
    - Know what their children watch.
    - Pray with them.
    - Discuss biblical truth regularly.
    - Teach discernment.
    - Encourage friendships that strengthen faith.
A protected heart is more valuable than unlimited freedom.
POINT FIVE: PRAY FOR YOUR CHILDREN WITHOUT CEASING
Some battles cannot be won by rules alone.
    They require prayer.
    Pray for:
    - Salvation
    - Wisdom
    - Purity
    - Protection
    - Divine purpose
    - Good relationships
    - Love for God
Never underestimate the power of a praying parent.

    BIBLICAL CASE STUDY

Hannah and Samuel (1 Samuel 1–3)

Hannah prayed earnestly for a child and dedicated Samuel to the Lord before he was born.
She fulfilled her promise and continually nurtured his spiritual life.
Samuel grew to become one of Israel's greatest prophets because his foundation was laid in God's presence.

    Lesson:
Children dedicated to God and raised in His ways can become instruments of national transformation.

    DEEP SPIRITUAL INSIGHTS

    - Every child carries a divine purpose that must be nurtured.
    - The enemy targets children because they represent the future.
    - Parenting is a sacred ministry, not merely a biological responsibility.
    - A godly generation is built through faithful discipleship at home.
    - Your greatest investment is not what you leave for your children, but what you leave in your children.

    PRACTICAL ACTION STEPS

    1. Establish daily family prayer.
    2. Read at least one Bible passage together each day.
    3. Worship together regularly.
    4. Limit harmful media influences.
    5. Bless your children with words of encouragement
    6. Lead by personal example.
    7. Pray consistently for their spiritual growth.
    8. Encourage them to serve God in the local church.

    QUESTIONS FOR REFLECTION

    - Am I modeling the Christian life before my children?
    - Does my home reflect the presence of Christ?
    - What values am I intentionally teaching my children?
    - Are my children growing spiritually or merely growing physically?
    - What changes must I make to help them follow Jesus faithfully?

    POWERFUL PRAYER POINTS

    1. Father, help me become a godly example to my children.
    2. Lord, let my home become a place of prayer, peace, and Your presence.
    3. Every evil influence assigned against my children, be destroyed in Jesus' name.
    4. Lord, plant a deep love for Your Word in the hearts of my children.
    5. Father, grant my children wisdom, holiness, and discernment.
    6. Let every destiny assigned to my children by You be fulfilled.
    7. Protect my children from ungodly friendships and destructive habits.
    8. Raise my children to become faithful servants and shining lights for Christ.
    9. Let the Holy Spirit guide them in every decision they make.
    10. May generations after us continue to serve the Lord faithfully.

    OUR CHILDREN ARE TOMORROW'S CHURCH

The battle for the next generation is being fought today.
If we fail to disciple our children, the world will gladly shape them according to its values. But when parents intentionally raise children in the fear of the Lord, they become men and women of integrity, compassion, courage, and unwavering faith.
Let us choose today to build homes where Christ is honored, Scripture is loved, prayer is practiced, and children are nurtured to know, love, and serve God all the days of their lives.

    Call to Action:

Parents, guardians, grandparents, teachers, and church leaders—commit yourselves afresh to raising children who will stand firm for Christ. Begin today. Pray with them, teach them God's Word, live as an example before them, and trust the Holy Spirit to shape their hearts. The seeds you plant now can produce a harvest of faithful disciples who will impact families, churches, communities, and nations for the glory of God.

If you have not given your life to Jesus kindly do so by joining a Bible believing Church.

  • HOLY LIFE FELLOWSHIP PRESENTS
Born of Water and the Spirit

Part 11: Knowing the Scriptures... But Missing the Savior

Section 1: The Scholar Who Could Not See the Messiah

In our previous study, Jesus confronted Nicodemus with one of the greatest spiritual realities ever spoken: "You must be born of water and the Spirit."

Yet the teacher of Israel stood bewildered, unable to understand what Jesus meant.

How could a man so learned in the Scriptures fail to recognise the very truth they proclaimed?

Today, we begin uncovering that mystery. We'll discover that it is possible to know the Scriptures... and yet completely miss the Saviour to whom they testify.

After listening to Jesus speak about being born of water and the Spirit, Nicodemus stood in silence.

Everything he had spent his life studying suddenly seemed insufficient.

He had devoted years to mastering the Law of Moses.
He knew the writings of the prophets.
He understood Israel's religious traditions better than almost anyone else.

Yet standing before him was a truth that none of his learning had prepared him to receive.

Seeing his confusion, Jesus asked a question that has echoed through the centuries and continues to confront every generation:

"Are you the teacher of Israel, and do not know these things?" (John 3:10).

Notice carefully what Jesus did not say.

He did not accuse Nicodemus of lacking intelligence.
He did not question his education.
Nor did He criticise his dedication to studying the Scriptures.

Instead, Jesus exposed something far more serious.

Nicodemus possessed an impressive knowledge of the scriptures, yet he had failed to perceive the One to whom those scriptures pointed.

    He knew the Scriptures...
But he had not truly discovered their Author.

    He understood the commandments...
Yet he had not embraced the Savior they foretold.

He could explain the promises made to Israel...
But he had not recognised the Promised One standing before him.

How tragic it is to possess knowledge of the Bible while remaining a stranger to the very life it proclaims.

This is precisely why Jesus later declared:

"You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life, and these are they which testify of Me. But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life." (John 5:39–40).

The Pharisees devoted themselves to studying the sacred writings.
    They were respected teachers.
    Experts in theology.
    Guardians of Israel's religious heritage.

Yet despite their remarkable scholarship, they failed to recognise that the Law and the Prophets had always been pointing toward Christ.

    Every prophecy.
    Every sacrifice.
    Every feast.
    Every priest.
    Every offering.
Every shadow found its fulfilment in Him.

The One whom Moses wrote about...
    The One whom Isaiah saw...
The One whom David sang about...
The One whom every prophet anticipated...
    was now walking among them.

    Yet they remained spiritually blind.

    What an astonishing irony.

The greatest students of Scripture stood face to face with the living Word of God...and failed to recognise Him.

When Jesus spoke these words in John chapter five, He was not speaking merely as another rabbi or teacher.

He spoke as the eternal Word of God—the complete and perfect revelation of the Father.

Yet men who had spent their entire lives studying the Scriptures could not perceive who stood before them.

This teaches us an important spiritual lesson.

The Scriptures are God's inspired written testimony.
But without the illuminating work of the Holy Spirit, they remain words on a page.

The Holy Spirit does not replace the Scriptures.
Rather, He opens our understanding so that we may behold the living Word revealed through them.

The Word of God is no longer confined to ink and paper.
It is written upon the tablets of the heart.

Knowledge alone cannot transform a soul.
    Only divine revelation can.

A person may memorise entire books of the Bible...
    Learn systematic theology...
    Master biblical languages...
    Defend orthodox doctrine...
Yet remain spiritually unchanged if the Holy Spirit has never brought those truths to life within the heart.

    This is why Solomon declared:
"Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint..." (Proverbs 29:18).

Without divine revelation, people perish spiritually.

It is entirely possible to fill the mind with biblical information while leaving the heart untouched by the life of God.

That was the tragedy of Nicodemus.

And it remains one of the greatest dangers facing the Church today.

But this leaves us with an important question.

If years of studying the Scriptures could not give Nicodemus spiritual understanding, what was he still missing?

Jesus Himself gives the answer—and it has everything to do with the ministry of the Holy Spirit.

We'll uncover that in the next section.

  • A Nugget of Truth.
    THE GLANCE, WE JUDGE.

"But Lot’s wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt." — Genesis 19:26

If you grew up hearing the story of Sodom and Gomorrah, you probably learned a very specific lesson about Lot’s wife: Don't look back. Don't love the world more than God. Total obedience matters.

For centuries, we have treated her as a cautionary tale of a divided heart. We assume she looked back because she missed the luxury, the culture, or the sin of the city she left behind. We read her final, tragic moment as a swift act of divine judgment on a woman who valued a corrupt city more than her deliverance.

But if we are honest, it is incredibly easy to judge a heart we cannot see.

When we look at her story through a single verse, we condense a human life into one bad decision. We do the same thing to the people around us every day. We see a snapshot of someone’s worst moment, a sudden lapse in judgment, or a struggle they can’t seem to break free from, and we instantly write their internal script for them. We decide *why* they did it.

Let’s step into her sandals for a moment. Put yourself on that dusty road, fleeing in the pre-dawn darkness.

The angels didn’t just say "leave"; they literally had to grab Lot, his wife, and their daughters by the hands and drag them out of the city because they were lingering. They were terrified. The text tells us that Lot had married daughters who stayed behind with their husbands.

When the sulfur and fire began to rain down, Lot’s wife was running for her life, but she was also running away from her children.

Try to imagine hearing the roar of destruction behind you, knowing your flesh and blood is caught in the middle of it. Was her look back a longing for the sin of Sodom? Or was it the instinct of a mother hearing the screams of her family? Was it a posture of rebellion, or was it a heart paralyzingly overwhelmed by grief and trauma?

The truth is, we don’t know. The text doesn't tell us her internal dialogue. And that is exactly the point.

When she turned around, she was frozen in place—transformed into a pillar of salt. In ancient times, salt was a symbol of grief, tears, and desolation. She became a physical monument to the weight of what she was leaving behind. God saw her heart, and whatever happened in that spiritual space was between her and her Creator.

But for us, the readers, her story stands as a warning—not just about looking back, but about how quickly we cast judgment on the brokenness of others.

When we judge the hearts of others, we almost always assume the worst possible motivation.

If someone steps away from the faith, we assume they just want to sin.

If someone struggles with deep anxiety or depression, we assume they lack faith.

If someone makes a sudden, messy mistake, we assume they are rebellious.

Jesus gave a fierce warning about this in the Sermon on the Mount:
"Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged"*
    (Matthew 7:1-2).

Why? Because human beings are notoriously bad at reading hearts. We see the action; God sees the battlefield inside. We see the look back; God sees the grief, the fear, the generational trauma, and the exhaustion that caused the neck to turn.

How do we practice this in our daily lives? How do we shift from being prosecutors of other people's hearts to guardians of our own compassion?

Extend the Benefit of the Doubt: When someone fails or hurts you, consciously stop yourself from assigning a motive to them. Instead of saying, "They did that to hurt me," try saying, "I don't know what kind of pain or pressure they are under right now."

Remember Your Own Hidden Battlefields:Think of a time you did something foolish, reactive, or wrong, not out of malice, but out of sheer pain, exhaustion, or fear. You wanted mercy then. Offer that same space to others.

Leave Judgment to the Only One Who Can See: God is the only righteous judge because He is the only one with all the data. He knows the exact weight of every heart. When we judge, we try to sit in a seat that belongs solely to Him.

Heavenly Father, forgive us for how quickly we assume the worst in others. Forgive us for the times we have looked at someone's brokenness or failure and decided we knew exactly why they fell. Help us to be slow to judge hearts we cannot see. When we see someone look back, stumble, or freeze on the road, let our first instinct be to offer a hand of mercy rather than a stone of condemnation. Thank You for seeing our messy, complicated hearts and meeting us with grace. Amen.
A Nugget of Truth. THE GLANCE, WE JUDGE. "But Lot’s wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt." — Genesis 19:26 If you grew up hearing the story of Sodom and Gomorrah, you probably learned a very specific lesson about Lot’s wife: Don't look back. Jesus gave a fierce warning about this in the Sermon on the Mount: "Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged"* (Matthew 7:1-2). Instead of saying, "They did that to hurt me," try saying, "I don't know what kind of pain or pressure they are under right now." Remember Your Own Hidden Battlefields:Think of a time you did something foolish, reactive, or wrong, not out of malice, but out of sheer pain, exhaustion, or fear. • The Present Truth # 9
    Celestial Visitors.

    Footprints of Angels.

The possibility of interplanetary creatures has fascinated many minds, but not without cause. Scientists acknowledge that just by the law of chance other planets could be inhabited. Bible prophets have given their record of heavenly beings visiting this earth. Righteous people, even on our day, can testify that they have had angel visitors. These angels have a deep interest in the affairs of people and may exert a powerful influence on the outcome of events. Their mode of travel is far more incredible than anything humanity has yet devised.

It is true that there are many illusions, if not deceptions, but when there is an accumulation of evidence from honest, reliable sources, it cannot be ignored. Nevertheless, there are questions. Which are true and which are false? How much can we understand regarding these celestial visitors? To answer these queries we must have a reliable gauge by which to measure the evidence. Again we turn to the Lord to see what He has left on record for us.

    What Are Angels?
Angels are heavenly beings, created by God (Revelation 4:11). They are creatures of a higher order than humans.

“What is man, that thou are mindful of him? And the son of man, that thou visitest him? For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.” Psalm 8:4, 5.

Angels do not possess a physical body like humans. They are, therefore, not limited by physical laws, such as gravity, heat or cold, and can move with incredible speed without any vehicle to transport them.

The prophet Daniel was once praying a sincere prayer of confession on behalf of the people. He then recorded what took place while he was praying: “And whiles I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the Lord my God for the holy mountain of my God; Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.” Daniel 9:20, 21.

The angel Gabriel mentions how swiftly he was caused to fly: “At the beginning of thy supplications the commandment came forth, and I am come to shew thee; for thou are greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision.” Daniel 9:23.

Although angels are not usually seen, they are real beings, just as real as us. Isaiah describes one type of angel, the seraphims, as having wings, faces, and feet, and as able to speak (Isaiah 6:1-3).

David, when referring to the manna upon which Israel existed during their journey through the wilderness, declared that “Man did eat angels’ food.” Psalm 78:25.

The exact number of these heavenly beings is not revealed to us. However the prophet Daniel described the number of angels which he saw before the throne of God: “A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened.” Daniel 7:10.

Although this number is figurative, it indicates a great multitude. The apostle Paul refers to them as “an innumerable company of angels.” Hebrews 12:22.

In the Bible the angels are divided into different categories. The nearest to the throne of God are the seraphims and cherubims.

“In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory.” Isaiah 6:1-3.

“Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; thou that dwellest between the cherubims, shine forth.” Psalm 80:1.

One high angel, who identified himself by name, was sent from the presence of God with an important message to be given to a man named Zacharias: “And the angel answering said unto him, I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God; and am sent to speak unto thee, and to shew thee these glad tidings.” Then he was sent on a specific errand to a young lady called Mary. “And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth.” Luke 1:19, 26.

The holy angels are continually engaged in serving God and helping in the great plan of salvation to deliver man from the curse of sin.

“Bless the Lord, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.” Psalm 103:20.

“Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?” Hebrews 1:14.

Originally all the angels were loyal to God, but, as we studied in Lesson Number Two, we saw that one-third of the angels joined Lucifer’s rebellion, and were cast out of heaven with him. This rebellion against God caused them to be in opposition to God’s plan of redemption. Now they continually seek to lead people from the way of salvation so as to cause their eternal ruin. But we need not be deceived by these evil angels (or devils), because Christ by His victory on the cross of Calvary has defeated Satan, their leader. (See Lesson Number Five.) Their ultimate destruction is now only a matter of time.

“For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment.” 2 Peter 2:4.

“And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.” Jude 6.

    Heaven’s Angels
Angels are not, as many believe, the spirits of the dead. They are an entirely different order of beings from humans. They existed before man was created: “When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?” Job 38:7.

The angels are described in this verse as stars, because of their bright shining appearance.

People do not become angels when they die nor will they become angels in heaven. Those people who are saved will remain people forever but will again be restored to the image of their Creator: "And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.” Revelation 21:3.

Angels do not accept homage, which is due only to God: “And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things. Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.” Revelation 22:8, 9.

    The Work of the Angels
Angels continually wait upon God and are fully committed to carrying out His commands. Seraphim and cherubim grace the presence of God by praising His holy name.

“And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.” Isaiah 6:3.

An important work of the angels is to record all that transpires in the life of each individual on earth. Every good and every evil deed, yes, even our thoughts are entered into the annals of heaven. No mistake is made, no detail overlooked and one day each will have to give an account of their life on earth.

“Then they that feared the Lord spake often one to another: and the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon his name.” Malachi 3:16.

Every living person has an attending angel. From the day of birth until death, this guardian angel watches over, encourages and records every event of that person’s life.

“Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 18:10.

Peter was delivered from prison by an angel. He then went to the home of the believers who were praying on his behalf. Before they realized he was released, this early Christian church exclaimed their unanimous belief that it was his guardian angel at the door. Ultimately they accepted that an angel had assisted him.

“And when she knew Peter’s voice, she opened not the gate for gladness, but ran in, and told how Peter stood before the gate. And they said unto her, Thou art mad. But she constantly affirmed that it was even so. Then said they, It is his angel.” Acts 12:14, 15.

Angels have an interest in our temporal welfare and many times faithful people of God have been protected from physical harm by their attending angel. Angels constantly seek to influence us for good and endeavor to turn our hearts to God. Dear friend, even as you study this lesson, your heavenly watcher is at your side to strengthen your faith and deepen your understanding in the truth of God.

The Word of God relates many experiences concerning angels.

Elisha was once surrounded by a hostile army. To allay his servants’ fears, Elisha prayed to God that the eyes of his servant might be opened to see the large host of angels protecting them.

“And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them. And Elisha prayed and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.” 2 Kings 6:16, 17.

Angels of God are often commissioned to protect us in our travels: “For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.” Psalm 91:11.

So close is the watch care of our attending angel, that David could exclaim: “The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.” Psalm 34:7.

It was Daniel’s attending angel who closed the mouths of the lions when he was thrown into their den.

“My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions’ mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt.” Daniel 6:22.

Depending upon the occasion and circumstances, angels have appeared to various people, sometimes as warriors defending the people of God.

“And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted up his eyes and looked, and, behold, there stood a man over against him with his sword drawn in his hand: and Joshua went unto him, and said unto him, Art thou for us, or for our adversaries? And he said, Nay; but as captain of the host of the Lord am I now come. And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and did worship, and said unto him, What saith my lord unto his servant?” (Joshua 5:13, 14).

Angels have accepted hospitality when visiting people in the form of men. “Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.” Hebrews 13:2.

In a time of crisis Jesus informed His disciples that, if necessary, God could send twelve legions of angels to protect Him. (A legion equals 3 to 6 thousand soldiers.)

“Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?” Matthew 26:53.

From this statement we can infer that God can mobilize all heaven, if necessary, to save one of His beloved followers from sin or harm.

When Jesus comes the second time to this earth He will be escorted by heavenly angels: “The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; and shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.” Matthew 13:41, 42.

The angels will not only gather the wicked for destruction but will also gather the righteous for heaven.

“And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.” Matthew 24:31.

    Living With Angels
The angels of God are about us all the time, although we are unconscious of their presence. They are usually unseen by men, but can take on a visible appearance when necessary. If a follower of God becomes discouraged, it may seem that they are alone in a struggle against a powerful enemy, but it is not so. God never abandons His people. If our eyes could be opened we would see heavenly watchers all around waiting to protect us from the attacks of the enemy.

When we realize the continual presence of these ambassadors from the courts of heaven, how careful we will be, not to do, speak or even think anything wrong that will be recorded against our names in the books of heaven!

How sad the angels are when we choose evil instead of good: “Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter any thing before God: for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few. . . . Suffer not thy mouth to cause thy flesh to sin; neither say thou before the angel, that it was an error: wherefore should God be angry at thy voice, and destroy the work of thine hands?” Ecclesiastes 5:2, 6.

On the other hand, the angels rejoice when a sinner is converted and surrenders to Christ. Jesus said: “Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.” Luke 15:10.

Let us thank God for these heavenly guardians and be grateful that all heaven is interested in our salvation and is seeking to bring it about in every possible way. As you contemplate this overwhelming evidence of the love of God for us will you not resolve to cooperate with your attending angel? Then, one day in heaven you will be able to converse face to face with this close angel friend, who is so well acquainted with your earthly experience.

Then, one day in heaven you will be able to converse face to face with this close angel friend, who is so well acquainted with your earthly experience. .

  • "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." — Proverbs 22:6 (KJV)

The greatest inheritance we can give our children is not wealth, success, or worldly achievements—it is a heart that knows, loves, and fears God. Money can be lost, education can be forgotten, and earthly possessions will one day fade away. But the Word of God planted in a child's heart has the power to guide them for the rest of their lives.

Children learn more from what they see than from what they hear. When they watch parents pray, worship faithfully, read the Bible, forgive others, and trust God in difficult times, those lessons become deeply rooted in their hearts. Every prayer you teach them, every Bible story you share, every Sunday you bring them to church, and every moment you point them to Jesus is a seed being planted for eternity.

There may be seasons when they struggle, make mistakes, or drift from the path. Yet never stop praying. The seeds of God's Word do not die. God is able to remind them of every truth they learned in their childhood and draw them back to Himself in His perfect time.

Parents, grandparents, and guardians have a sacred responsibility. This generation desperately needs children who know the truth, stand for righteousness, and boldly follow Christ in a world filled with confusion. Let us raise children who love God more than the world, obey His Word more than popular culture, and seek His Kingdom above everything else.

Don't wait until tomorrow to teach them about Jesus. Every day is an opportunity to shape a life that will glorify God for generations to come.

Raise them with love. Teach them with patience. Lead them by example. Pray for them without ceasing. Above all, point them to Jesus Christ—the only foundation that will never fail.

  • Happy Father's Day

Today, we celebrate fathers—men who lead, provide, protect, sacrifice, and inspire.

Fatherhood is more than a title; it is a calling. It is seen in the quiet sacrifices made behind the scenes, the wisdom shared through life's lessons, the strength demonstrated during difficult seasons, and the love expressed through unwavering commitment to family.

A godly father does not merely build a house; he builds lives. He plants values, nurtures character, and leaves a legacy that extends far beyond his years. The influence of a father can shape generations.

As we honor fathers today, let us also remember those who have served as mentors, guardians, spiritual fathers, and role models. Your guidance, prayers, and example have made a lasting difference.

To every father: thank you for your labor, your courage, your patience, and your love. May God strengthen your hands, renew your wisdom, and reward your faithfulness.

"The righteous man walks in his integrity; his children are blessed after him." — Proverbs 20:7

Happy Father's Day to all fathers and father figures. Your impact matters. Your legacy lives on.

  • In the dawn's gentle light, they whisper low,
Awakening the hearts that long to know.
With every breeze that stirs, they sing so clear,
Guiding us to grace, as they draw us near.

    Hallelujah, in this sacred space,
Feel the warmth of Your love's embrace.
With spirits high, and hearts made free,
In harmony, we find our melody.

In the stillness of the night, they softly soar,
Sent by the Father’s love, forevermore.
Their wings like psalms of hope, echoing divine,
Guardians of the soul, in Your light they shine.
With every gentle whisper, they heal the heart,
From the shadows of doubt, they play their part.
Their presence brings peace, where chaos once laid,
In the realm of the lost, their light will cascade.

    Hallelujah, angels of grace,
Lift us up to Your holy place.
With harps and lyres, sing melodies so sweet,
In Your presence, Lord, our hearts complete.

From Psalm ninety-one, their voices ring,
Guarding every step, on angelic wings.
Their voices like trumpets, calling us near,
In Your sacred harmony, we have no fear.
They dance on the winds, with joy so profound,
Leading us home, where true love is found.
In the trials of life, they stand by our side,
With faith as our anchor, and hope as our guide.

With drums of thunder and strings of gold,
    Your heavenly choir, stories told.
Let cymbals crash, and harps unite,
    In Your eternal, glorious light.

    Hallelujah, angels of grace,
Lift us up to Your holy place.
With harps and lyres, sing melodies so sweet,
In Your presence, Lord, our hearts complete.

In the warmth of the light, they gather around,
Spreading joy in the hearts, a love profound.
From the valleys low, to the mountains high,
With each note they carry, we soar and fly.

    Hallelujah, angels in song,
Guide us with harmony, where we belong.
With every rising note, feel the spirit's breath,
In this sacred circle, there's no fear of death.
