To those who are contending with the power of habit, God says: “Would you walk by and by the streets of the holy city? Then obey the command, Come out from among them, and be ye separate, and touch not the unclean thing. I, the infinite God, the Creator of the universe, will receive you.
I will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be My sons and daughters.” “Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.” Connect with Heaven. Thus you may become children of the heavenly King.
Do you want higher honor, greater exaltation? Riches God has in abundance for those who overcome; for the streets of the holy city are paved with gold. It is your privilege to enter this city, to partake of the tree of life, to listen to the voice that is sweeter and richer than any music that ever fell on mortal ears. There is strength in the arm of the Lord. Take hold upon it, and you will one day stand victors in the city of God, each wearing on his brow a crown of immortal glory. ST January 30, 1901, par. 9

  • St. Maximilian Mary Kolbe

St. Maximilian Mary Kolbe was born on January 8, 1894 in Poland, to father Julius Kolbe and mother Maria Dabrowska. He joined the Franciscans in 1907 and ordained as a priest in 1918. He founded a movement devoted to Our Lady and spread this movement through a magazine named "The Knight of the Immaculate". He was arrested by Nazis on February 17, 1941 and sent to the concentration camp at Auschwitz. He was singing hymns to the Virgin Mary in the concentration camp without any fear. He was tortured in the Nazi concentration camp without giving any food, water and other facilities for more than two weeks. When another person was due to be killed on a particular day, that man started crying" my wife, my children". Then Maximilian volunteered to take the place of that man to die, to save that poor man. He was killed by giving carbolic acid injection. He died on August 14, 1941.

A cure from intestinal tuberculosis to one Angela Testoni in July, 1948 and also a cure from calcification on the arteries/sclerosis were attributed to the intervention of St. Maximilian.

He was beatified in 1971 by Pope Paul-VI and canonized by Pope John Paul-II on October 10, 1982. He was declared as a martyr and is venerated as a patron saint of drug addicts and political prisoners.

  • Good morning to everyone. Grace and Peace be with you.

In my journey to clean the house, I have gone from worship music to listening to the Bible. My goal around mid-January was to actually make it through the bible by the end of the year. I started in the New Testament while I was driving back and forth to work. It really did not feel like it took that long to devour all that wisdom. (Mind you, it will take me many more meals of that nature before I remember it all.) Once I was done with that, I moved into the Old. Now, we all know how much fun the Old Testament can be. Especially the book of Leviticus … got to know me some offering techniques. Just staying. When I retired, I believe that made it through Chronicles… another riveting beginning of the family tree (it did get better). After that, it was hit and miss when I listened. I am happy to report that I have now finished Ecclesiastes. With only 18 books left to listen to, I am confident that I will make my goal.

Last night while I was folding the hidden laundry that I found in various places, I was listening to the book of Proverbs. Now, this book, I have read many, many times. Though this is true, I ‘heard’ things yesterday that I did not recall from before. I also had metaphoric thoughts of their meaning, in some cases, which is why I did the afternoon post yesterday. When a new light bulb is sparked as I am listening, I have to hit replay several times. I want to make sure that I heard what I thought I heard. I to my physical bible and look it up to read what I heard. I stare at whatever is near me at the time as I search my thoughts like a kid who was just told to pick one piece of candy … so many to choose from. It is fantastic.

Because I listen repeatedly and verify with physical sight, I can usually see or feel the message that He wants to give me, as with the PM post yesterday. However, I was still in the book of Proverbs when I thought I heard another epiphany. I looked it up, wrote it down, and thought about it. I slept on it, and this morning I took another look; the message I thought I heard was not what I received this morning. I believe that what I thought it said last night was an attempt to begin a quarrel or clickbait. That is not what the Word says. Even I can get caught up in the thought of education for the greater good; however, we must have discernment and wisdom for what we are about to divulge. Prudence in this situation, I believe, was the best call. (Quick note: my laptop is being attitudinal … my apologies if there are random punctuations.)

Last night I received a Word from God to post in the afternoon. Shortly after that, I thought that I had received a second one; however, because I was cautious with my response, I believe that I averted or dodged a sticky situation that a post could have caused. The Spirit gave me a metaphoric thought on the first gift; the enemy tried piggyback with a second prompt. The difference was that I am versed enough in His Word that my inner spirit told me to wait and study more closely. Wisdom and discernment, coupled with prudence and patience, are a recipe for success when spreading the Good News.

When Solomon was made King, God asked him what he wanted. Anything he asked for, God would grant … Solomon asked for wisdom. Not riches. Not power. Not favor. He asked for wisdom. Because he did not ask for self-gratifying indulgences, but a way to help his people, God was pleased and granted the other items as well.

Periodically, I will ask to win the lottery, that my books take off, or I have a rich uncle/aunt somewhere that left me their millions. Where the concept of not thinking about money ever being a problem is nice, it brings on its own challenges. My husband and I have joked that if that ever happened, we would still be in the same financial arena we are in now because we would not be able to help ourselves but to help others. I am pleased that He has given me this gift of discernment. I am happy that He has given me this gift of wisdom. I am happy that He has given me this gift of obedience. I fail many times, but He is always there to guide me through. What have you asked for lately? Stature? Or Wisdom?

    Be blessed.

  • There is a message on my heart today, and I don't believe it is by accident.

I may not know your name. I may not know where you are reading this from. I may not know what your story looks like.

But I know one thing... The Holy Spirit is speaking to someone right now.

As a Relationship Minister, one of the deepest pains I have encountered is not from broken relationships alone. It is the silent pain of sisters who have waited... and waited... and waited for the man God has prepared for them.

I have listened to countless conversations. Conversations filled with hidden tears.

Some are in their mid-twenties, fully ready to build a godly home. Some are already in their thirties, wondering why the years keep passing by. Some have never received a serious proposal.

Others have received attention from brothers who disappeared halfway. Some keep attracting men who only waste their time.

Some have prayed for years. Some have fasted until they had no strength left.

Some have attended every wedding with a smile on their faces, only to return home and cry themselves to sleep.

    Maybe... That sister is you.

You celebrate your friends sincerely when they get engaged. You buy them gifts. You dance at their weddings. You pray for them with a genuine heart.

But when you get back into your room, you quietly ask God, "Lord... when will it be my turn?"

You scroll through social media and another wedding picture appears.

Another engagement. Another proposal. Another bridal shower. You smile... Then gently lock your phone because your heart cannot take it anymore.

You are beginning to wonder... "Lord, have You forgotten me; My mates are becoming wives. My younger ones are getting married. What exactly am I doing wrong?"

Maybe nobody knows how much this has been breaking you.

But hear me today... God knows.

He sees every silent tear you wiped away before anyone noticed.

He hears every prayer you whispered when nobody was listening.

He remembers every fasting you have done.

He knows every heartbreak you survived.

He knows how many times you believed someone was the answer, only to watch everything fall apart.

He knows how difficult it is to keep hoping when disappointment has become so familiar.

And today... The Lord is saying to you... PEACE... BE STILL.

Don't allow fear to speak louder than God's promises. Don't allow your age to become your identity. Don't allow people's questions to become your burden.

Because the God you serve has never forgotten your address.

The truth is... We often measure life with calendars. But God measures life with purpose.

We count years. While God prepares destinies.

We watch clocks. But God watches His perfect plan unfold.

There is no morning with God. There is no night with Him.

There is no January or December in eternity.

He is never late. He has never been late. And He will not start with you.

The Bible says that He makes everything beautiful in His own time.

    Not our time. His time.

Think about Lazarus. Many people believed Jesus should have arrived before Lazarus died.

They thought He delayed. They thought it was over. But when Jesus finally came, it wasn't because He was late.

It was because His timing would reveal a greater glory.

If He had arrived earlier, Lazarus would have simply been healed. But because He came at God's appointed time... Lazarus was raised from the dead.

Sometimes what feels like God's delay is actually God's preparation.

You may not understand why your story looks different from everyone else's. But you don't have to understand everything to trust God.

Trust His heart. Trust His wisdom. Trust His process. And trust His timing.

The husband God has prepared for you will not miss his way.

The God who knows where you are also knows where he is.

Nothing catches God by surprise. Nothing.

Your waiting season is not a sign that God has rejected you. Sometimes it is simply proof that He is writing a testimony that cannot be explained by human effort.

So today... Instead of asking, "Lord, why am I still waiting?"

Try saying, "Lord, I trust You even while I wait."

Tell Him, "Father, strengthen my faith. Help me not to become bitter. Help me not to compare my journey with others. Help me to remain joyful while You prepare what You have prepared for me."

And when the waiting becomes heavy... Whisper these simple words... "Lord... I will wait for You."

Not because waiting is easy. But because You are faithful. I don't know who this message is for. But I believe with all my heart that someone's testimony is closer than they think.

The tears will not last forever. The waiting will not last forever. The questions will not last forever. Your season will change.

And when God finally writes your story... No one will remember how long you waited. They will only stand in awe of what God has done.

May the Lord strengthen every waiting heart. May He fill every empty place with hope. May He replace every silent tear with joyful laughter. And may your testimony arrive at the exact moment Heaven has appointed.

In the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

    SATURDAY, 1 AUGUST 2026

A NEW MONTH, A NEW GRACE

“Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness.” – Psalm 65:11 KJV

    Welcome to August.

God did not bring us this far to leave us. Every new month is proof that His mercies are new and His faithfulness is sure. Lamentations 3:22-23. And with a new month comes new grace for new challenges, new assignments, and new victories.

August is not just another page on the calendar. It is a doorway. It is God saying, _“Behold, I will do a new thing.”_ Isaiah 43:19. The months behind us had their battles and their lessons. But God is not finished. He is crowning this year with His goodness.

Leaders, how we start a month determines how we finish it. We do not drift into August. We step into it on purpose, with prayer, with faith, and with expectation.

First, we remember. Remember what God has done. The doors He opened. The strength He gave. The protection we did not see. Gratitude positions us for more. Psalm 103:2 says, _“Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits.”_

Second, we reset. Lay down what did not work. Lay down bitterness, fear, and delay. Hebrews 12:1. You cannot carry old weights into a new season. Ask God to search you and lead you in the way everlasting. Psalm 139:23-24.

Third, we refocus. What is God saying for this month? What is the word, the direction, the assignment? Proverbs 4:25 says, _“Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.”_ Do not be distracted. Fix your gaze on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. Hebrews 12:2.

The grace for August is available, but grace must be engaged. James 4:6 says God gives grace to the humble. So we come low before Him. We depend on Him. We do not assume that last month’s oil will run this month’s engine. We go back to the altar for fresh oil.

This month, expect God’s paths to _“drop fatness.”_ That means provision, favor, ideas, and divine encounters. But it also means responsibility. With new grace comes new stewardship. What God is about to do through you will require faith, obedience, and consistency.

Do not be afraid of August. The same God who was with you in January is with you now. The same Spirit that helped you then will help you now. Philippians 1:6 says, _“he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.”_

Step into this month with boldness. Speak God’s word over your life, your family, your team, and your territory. And watch God crown the year with His goodness.

    Prayer For Today
Father, thank You for bringing me into a new month. I receive fresh grace for August. Crown this year with Your goodness. Order my steps. Go before me and make the crooked places straight. Give me wisdom for decisions, strength for work, and favor in every place. Let Your will be done in my life this month. I dedicate August to You. Use me for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

    Today's Declaration
This is a new month and a new season of grace. God’s goodness is crowning my year. His paths are dropping fatness for me. I will walk in wisdom, favor, and power. What God has started in me, He will complete. August will be a month of testimonies.

    Bible Reading Plan
    Psalm 65, Isaiah 43:16-21, Lamentations 3:22-26, Philippians 1:3-6, Deuteronomy 11:11-12, 2 Corinthians 9:8

    Today’s Action
Take time today to thank God for the first seven months of the year. Write down three things He did for you. Then pray into August. Ask God for His word and His agenda for this month. Write it down and align your plans to it.
Leaders, gather your team and dedicate the month to God. Set the tone with prayer and vision. Speak faith over the next 31 days. New month, new grace, new results.

Remember: God’s mercies are new every morning. And His grace is sufficient for August.

  • APOSTOLIC PASTOR CONFESSES
DIFFICULT FOR ME TO WRITE THIS
    APRIL 27, 2006

    Dear Reader,

This letter is very difficult for me to write. I really don’t know where or how to start. So I prayed to the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY that He leads me with the correct words and proper attitude and the right direction with which to have this letter flow. I pray that the Holy Spirit leads me and guides me in this letter so HIS NAME may be glorified.

Let me give you a small resume of my life. I was born Catholic and educated in their grade schools, high school and two years of Catholic college. I lived thirty six years of Catholicism before I had a relationship with GOD. I was baptized in Jesus name June of 1983 in the San Jacinto River under Highway 59 north of Houston, Texas, by Brother Tommy Hodges. I received the HOLY SPIRIT January, 1984, at Deer Park Pentecostal Church (Pastor Possey) under the evangelistic preaching of Brother Hightower.

In 1989, with the blessing of Pastor Kilgore of Life Tabernacle my wife and I left for Philadelphia, PA. GOD had us start the Jesus Name Ministries church which we have been pastoring for the past sixteen years. I never comprised on the name of Jesus.

One day this past summer (2004) my wife, Linda and I were camping. Linda went to bed and I was scanning the radio stations about mid-night on Sunday. I stopped at a station where a preacher in Georgia was preaching. In his preaching he stated that he was Apostolic and preached Acts 2:38 in a way I never heard before. Repent and be baptized every one of you in the NAME of YAHWAH Messiah for the remission of sins. This caught my attention and my anger and my curiosity. I jotted down his phone number and put it in my wallet, planning to call and investigate this strange NAME of YAHWAH.

I investigated the Philadelphia library, to my surprise; I found many scholarly Bible writers wrote on the oldest and most used NAME OF GOD. I didn’t know where this investigation was going to take me. All I know is that I love truth.

I spoke several times on the phone with this strang Yahwah preacher and his wife that were from Georgia, Jerry & Kathy Kirk. They sent me some Biblical historical materials to read and pray for the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

In our adventure for truth with these materials and the immense information from the library, I was taught some surprising facts that the Catholic Church and the Apostolic church never taught me.

    THE FOLLOWING TRUE FACTS
    ARE WHAT I FOUND

    1. YHWH (pronounced YAHWAH by all Jewish rabbis) is GOD and GOD alone.

    2. YHWH is found 6,832 times in the TANACH.

    3. Paul the Apostle always referred to the TANACH to show that YHWH was the Messiah.

    4. The TANACH is nothing more than our equivalent to the Old Testament.

    5. That the NAME of GOD, YHWH (YAHWAH) was first used in Genesis 2:4 and last used in the Old Testament Malachi 3:23.

    6. The Hebrew Apostles scriptures were stolen by a church (circa 126-136 A. D.) and translated into Greek and the original Hebrew New Testament scriptures were destroyed.

    7. Jesus is only a new name of 393 years. In the King James 1611 A.D. the NAME OF THE SAVIOR in the Christian world was Iesous. The letter ‘J’, according to Webster did not exist until after the mid-1650.

    8. A scholarly Biblical fact is that YHWH (YAHWAH) was taken out of our New English editions and hidden by only using the word LORD.

    9. Genesis 4:26 at the time of Seth men began calling on THE NAME of YHWH (YAHWAH).

    10. Genesis 12:8; 13:4, 21:33 Abram at Bethel called upon THE NAME of YHWH (YAHWAH).

    11. YHWH (pronounced YAHWAH by all Jewish rabbis) is GOD and GOD alone.

    12. Genesis 26:25 Isaac called on THE NAME of YHWH (YAHWAH).

    13. YHWH is HIS NAME and only name. Elohim (Lord of Lords) is HIS title. EL (God) is HIS title. Emmanuel GOD with us is a sentence.

    14. Exodus 6:3 GOD tells Moses HIS NAME is YHWH (YAHWAH).

    15. Deuteronomy 6:4 YHWH our GOD is ONE.

    16. Isaiah 63:16 YHWH our Father, Redeemer and HIS NAME is from everlasting.

    17. Revelation14:1 The Lamb writes THE NAME OF FATHER on their foreheads. To me, this would be water baptism in the NAME OF YHWH).

    18. Malachi 2:10 One Father, One God created us.

    19. Zechariah 14: 9 YHWH (YAHWAH) is KING, YHWH is ONE and HIS NAME ONE.

    20. Matthew 28:19 Baptize in THE NAME of the FATHER, SON and HOLY GHOST.

    21. FATHER IS YHWH (Isaiah 63:16)

    22. The SON IS YHWH Messiah. (John 5:43

    23. I come in THE NAME OF MY FATHER)

    24. The HOLY GHOST IS YHWH (John 14:26 Comforter,

    25. The Father will send in MY NAME YHWH Messiah)

    26. Acts 2:38 Repent and be baptized in THE NAME of YHWH Messiah for the remission of your sins.

Where did the Iesous or Jesus come from? It comes from Zeus - the Greek god. In Spanish Jesus is pronounced hey-Zeus. The name Jesus can’t be reconciled to be a Hebrew name.

    1. ONE GOD YHWH (YAHWAH) Deuteronomy 6:4

    2. ONE NAME YHWH (YAHWAH) Zechariah 14:9

    3. ONE SAVIOR YHWH (YAHWAH) Isaiah 43:3,11

    4. ONE REDEEMER YHWH (YAHWAH) Isaiah 44:6

    5. ONE MAKER YHWH (YAHWAH) Isaiah 54:5

    6. ONLY ONE can bear THE NAME of YHWH (YAHWAH) and it was HIS SON YAHWAH Messiah.

By the way approximately 393 years ago there was no J in the English alphabet. His name was lesous, Which is Greek, NonHebrew, MisTranslated, ManMade Inspired.

Too many people bear the names of Jesus, Joshua, Yahoshua (common names). These names could not have been THE NAME OF THE SAVIOR; HE came in THE NAME OF HIS FATHER. Jehovah and Jesus are the perverted names of GOD and not HIS TRUE NAME. YHWH only could be HIS NAME.

Thank GOD that Jesus Name Apostolic’ have the right principle of ONE GOD, one baptism and one name. But now let us receive HIS TRUE NAME YHWH (YAHWAH).

We come to GOD in a process of levels of truth, paganism to Catholism to Protestant to Trinity Holy Ghost filled to Jesus Name Apostolic to YAHWAH Apostolic.

GOD is taking a church out of a church and re-establishing HIS RIGHTFUL NAME to HIS people. Please be part of it. Out of 100 of our assembly we had 20 to receive HIM in water baptism and 80 to refuse the revelation of HIS TRUE NAME.

I lost all teachers and all musicians. But that is all right because HIS NAME is still YHWH (YAHWAH) and I am called by HIS NAME. I want to please GOD and I do not want to please man or an organization. Straight is the gate and narrow is the way and few will choose HIS NAME.

In critic of the book “In the Name of Jesus” Dr. David K. Bernard gives a very poor presentation in defense of the name Jesus. Let us go to chapter four, Dr. Bernard has no clue that there are YAHWAH Apostolics, the ONLY TRUE ONE GOD, ONE PEOPLE OF THE NAME OF YAHWAH.

Biblical scholars all recognize as truth that the TANACH (Old Testament) has THE NAME YHWH 6,832. Also agreed upon is that Jehovah is an erroneous translation of YAHWAH mixed with Adonai. If you keep this in mind then we know the GOD of the Old Testament is YHWH and because HE changes not (Malachi 3:6) we know HE is the GOD of the New Testament.

Let us talk about the name Yahoshua. Yahoshua is Hebrew and English translation is Joshua. So the Messiah, according to this knowledge should have been named in English as Joshua Christ. According to the thesis of Doctor Bernard he states on page 36 that Yahwah of the Old Testament manifested HIMSELF in the flesh to be our SAVIOR. THE SAVIOR stated in John 5:43 “I come in THE NAME OF MY FATHER.

How can GOD change HIS NAME? He cannot. The legal name of my wife is Linda, it means pretty but her name is not pretty, it is Linda. Psalm 54:1 Save me, 0 GOD, by YOUR NAME. THE NAME OF GOD is YAHWAH; we are saved by HIS NAME.

What do we not understand with this statement? Again Matthew 1:23 Emmanuel (with us is GOD) what do we not understand with this statement? I am in agreement with Doctor Bernard that YAHWAH was manifested in the flesh and that baby was called YAHWAH the Messiah, the same NAME AS HIS FATHER. Isaiah 63:16 YOU, 0 YAHWAH, are our FATHER, our redeemer, THY NAME is from everlasting. It does not say anywhere that the false name of Jesus is everlasting, only YAHWAH. The second argument of Dr. Bernard makes no sense whatsoever because in his argument he believes the Hebrew Apostles called the Messiah by the name Iesous - Jesus - Joshua. The Messiah was known as YAHWAH.
The Word Hallelujah is universal. YAHWAH is literally the same in every tongue (universal). George W. Bush is introduced as George W. Bush throughout every language and country. His legal name does not change to the language of the people. His name is the same (transliterated) in every language. THE NAME OF YAHWAH is pronounced literally and universally.

On page 37 Dr. Bernard states unequivocally the early church baptized in Jesus Name but later says that the name Jesus evolved from lesous in the Latin/Greek Hebrew. Did the Apostles say Joshua, Yahoshua, Iesous or Jesus? My GOD does not change names like we do clothes. Just what is HIS NAME for salvation? Is it Jesus, Iesous, Yahoshua, Joshua? Could it be so simple that it is YAHWAH the Messiah? Isaiah 47:4 as for our REDEEMER, YAHWAH of Armies is HIS NAME, the Holy One of Israel.

Isaiah 42:5-16 YAHWAH opened the eyes of the blind. Verse 13 YAHWAH shall go forth as a mighty Man (The Messiah). Isaiah 43:10.12 YAHWAH declares HIMSELF to be the servant (the Messiah) I, even I, am YAHWAH and beside me there is no SAVIOR.

YAHWAH is calling, “Come out of her“. Yes, GOD was merciful to save us in our ignorance even if we did not know HIS NAME. Leave that heathen man made philosophical name of Iesous, Jesus. Psalm 86:9 all nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee 0 YAHWAH and shall GLORIFY THY NAME. Psalm 145:21 My mouth shall speak the praise of YAHWAH and let all flesh bless HIS HOLY NAME forever and forever.

    Thank you for your attention,

  • Hi, everyone! I’m Kristin.

I’m a wife, mother, grandmother, bookkeeper, writer, and a woman learning to follow God through real life—not the polished version.

My journey has included anxiety, BPD, strained family relationships, difficult seasons, healing, and sobriety since January 1, 2025. Through all of it, I’ve learned that God’s grace doesn’t wait for life to become neat and manageable. He meets us right in the middle of it.

I love honest conversations about faith, family, healing, and the everyday moments where God quietly reminds us that we’re not alone. I’m also the creator of Grace in My Journey, where I share Christian devotionals and reflections from my own walk with God.

I’m looking forward to getting to know everyone and becoming part of this community.

  • Knowing YHWH In An Intimate Way
    Exodus 34:6-7

    INTRODUCTION:

    1. Do you know YHWH in an intimate way? It is possible that we can go through this life obeying YHWH and His commandments, but yet not have an intimate relationship with Him.

    2. Moses, in the beginning of his ministry, had this type of relationship with YHWH.

    In Exodus 33:12-13

    a. At that point in Moses’ life, he had obeyed YHWH’s instructions. For example:

    (1) He had delivered the Israelites out of Egyptian bondage.
    (2) He had helped the Israelites pass through the Red Sea.
    (3) He had led the Israelites to Mount Sinai where YHWH gave them the Ten Commandments.

    b. Moses had obeyed YHWH’s instructions, but yet, he still did not know YHWH in an intimate way.

The sad truth to this story is that some believers today still follow YHWH’s commands and instructions, but yet do not know Him in a personal and intimate way.

YHWH is going to introduce himself to us so that we may have a more intimate relationship with him.

    Exodus 34:5-7

From this passage, YHWH reveals himself in a personal way.

I would like to share three wonderful characteristics of YHWH that I hope will help us better understand YHWH which will help us develop a more intimate relationship with him.

    I. FIRST, TO KNOW YHWH IN AN INTIMATE WAY, WE MUST UNDERSTAND THAT YHWH IS A COMPASSIONATE AND GRACIOUS YHWH.

    1. The Psalmist expressed it best in Ps. 145:7-9

    ILLUSTRATION:

In 1975 a child named Raymond Dunn, Jr., was born in New York State. The Associated Press reports that at his birth, a skull fracture and oxygen deprivation caused severe retardation. As Raymond grew, the family discovered further impairments. His twisted body suffered up to twenty seizures per day. He was blind, mute, and immobile. He had severe allergies that limited him to only one food: A meat-based formula made by Gerber Foods.

In 1985, Gerber stopped making the formula that Raymond lived on. Carol Dunn scoured the country to buy what stores had in stock, accumulating cases and cases, but in 1990 her supply ran out. In desperation, she appealed to Gerber for help. Without this particular food, Raymond would starve to death.

The employees of the company listened. In an unprecedented action, volunteers donated hundreds of hours to bring out old equipment, set up production lines, obtain special approval from the USDA, and produce the formula—all for one special boy.

In January 1995, Raymond Dunn, Jr, known as the Gerber boy, died from his physical problems. But during his brief lifetime he called forth a wonderful thing called compassion.

    2. YHWH has the kind of compassion for us as the Gerber company had for this boy. YHWH looks down upon us with care, and concern, and He will do everything in His power to help us.

    3. YHWH is a compassionate and merciful!

    a. He is so compassionate that when we sin and ask for forgiveness, He forgives us.

    b. He is so compassionate that He heals our illnesses.

    c. He is so compassionate that He blesses us with food, shelter, and jobs.

    4. Words cannot express how great YHWH is.

    James 5:11

This week why don’t you focus on YHWH’s compassion and mercy? Go to Him in prayer and thank Him for being so wonderful to you.

II. SECOND, TO KNOW YHWH IN AN INTIMATE WAY, WE MUST UNDERSTAND THAT YHWH IS SLOW TO ANGER.

    1. Some people think that YHWH is quick to become angry with us when we make a mistake. However, the truth is that when we make a mistake, YHWH is patient with us and slow to anger.

The scriptures say in Ps. 103:8-11

    2. YHWH is not like us. When we get angry our natural inclination is to get even. Retaliate with vengeance. However, YHWH is not that way at all. In fact, YHWH is a loving Elohim who is slow to anger who does not treat us as our sins deserve.

III. THIRD, TO KNOW YHWH IN AN INTIMATE WAY, WE MUST UNDERSTAND THAT YHWH IS ABOUNDING IN LOVE.

    1. The greatest act of love that YHWH has shown us is when He sent His son Messiah to die on the cross for our sins.

    John 3:16-17

    2. No greater act of love has ever been demonstrated than when Messiah gave His life in order to save ours. It is through His blood that we have forgiveness of our sins, which enables us to be reconciled to YHWH and have a relationship with Him. If you want to know about love, then look to the cross.

    ILLUSTRATION:

Jason Tuskes was a 17-year-old high school honor student. He was close to his mother, his wheelchair-bound father, and his younger brother. Jason was an expert swimmer who loved to scuba dive.

One Tuesday morning, Jason left home to explore a spring and underwater cave near his home in west central Florida.

While scuba diving, Jason became lost in the cave. Then, in his panic, he apparently got wedged into a narrow passageway. When he realized he was trapped, he shed his yellow metal air tank and unsheathed his diver’s knife. With the tank as a tablet and the knife as a pen, he wrote one last message to his family: I love you mom, dad, and Christine. Then he ran out of air and drowned.

    3. YHWH's final words to us are etched on a Roman cross. They are blood red, and they scream to be heard. They, too, say, "I love you."

    The scriptures say Rom. 5:8

    4. Aren’t you glad that YHWH is so loving? The Bible says that YHWH is love in 1 John 4:8

    CONCLUSION:

    1. If you do not have an intimate relationship with YHWH then it is probably because you don’t know Him very well.

    2. YHWH has introduced Himself to us. He has made known to us His goodness. He personally proclaimed Himself to us.

    Exodus 34:5-7

    3. YHWH has introduced Himself to us. He has shown us who He is. It is my prayer that you have gotten to know Him better so that you will have a more intimate relationship with Him.
Knowing YHWH In An Intimate Way Exodus 34:6-7 INTRODUCTION: 1. Do you know YHWH in an intimate way? It is possible that we can go through this life obeying YHWH and His commandments, but yet not have an intimate relationship with Him. 2. Moses, in the beginning of his ministry, had this type of relationship with YHWH. In Exodus 33:12-13 a. At that point in Moses’ life, he had obeyed YHWH’s instructions. For example: (1) He had delivered the Israelites out of Egyptian bondage. Exodus 34:5-7 From this passage, YHWH reveals himself in a personal way. 145:7-9 ILLUSTRATION: In 1975 a child named Raymond Dunn, Jr., was born in New York State. James 5:11 This week why don’t you focus on YHWH’s compassion and mercy? Go to Him in prayer and thank Him for being so wonderful to you. II. SECOND, TO KNOW YHWH IN AN INTIMATE WAY, WE MUST UNDERSTAND THAT YHWH IS SLOW TO ANGER. 1. Some people think that YHWH is quick to become angry with us when we make a mistake. However, the truth is that when we make a mistake, YHWH is patient with us and slow to anger. The scriptures say in Ps. 103:8-11 2. 1.
