The Truth of God What is truth? Various generations have had different ways of answering that question. It's a popular belief in today’s culture that truth can be whatever you want it to be. This is the idea that truth is relative and unique to every individual person. But if everyone lives their own truth, then nobody can truly know which one is right. And if one person’s truth contradicts another person’s truth, one of them must be wrong. Scripture tells us that there is an objective truth available; a truth that we can live by. Rather than truth being grounded in the individual, it is grounded in something much bigger than ourselves. Truth is sourced from God. God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe and everything that exists, and the one from whom truth and beauty come. God’s Word contains the truths that He has spoken to us—so that we might live according to His truth and His ways. Jesus says that His teachings are true because they come from God. He goes on to say that anyone who knows the truth of God will be set free in their life. When we know the truth, we are no longer living according to a lie. God’s Word tells us the truth and leads us to life. This is why Jesus says that the truth will set us free. That's when we become truly free to live according to how God designed us to live. An important part of learning what's true and what isn’t is reading God’s Word. He has spoken to us through His Word, and all that He has spoken is true. When we read and memorize God’s Word, we learn more and more about God. Take some time today to thank God for revealing Himself to us through His Word, and for illuminating our lives with His truth.

September 8 - Say No When You Should “All you need to say is simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything beyond this comes from the evil one.” (Matthew 5:37 NIV) Toolbox Talk: Time stewardship sometimes means saying no. When you say yes to everything you either break commitments or burn out. Clear no’s protect your priorities. They guard your family. They guard your health. If you need to say no - say it simply and early. Jobsite Story: One of the hardest skills in running a building business is saying no to work that looks profitable but isn't right - wrong client, wrong scope, wrong timing. Every job I took against my better judgment cost me more than the margin it generated. Learning to say no is part of the business skill set. Debrief: What are you saying yes to that you should stop? What is one no you need to say this week to protect what matters? Prayer: Lord, help me be clear and honest with my commitments. Give me courage to say no when it’s wise. Amen. LET US GROW IN GRACE AND KNOWLEDGE 📖 2 Peter 3:18 "But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen." Peter concludes his letter by urging believers to stand firm against errors and false teachings. To remain steadfast, they needed to continue growing in their relationship with Christ. The Christian life is not a destination, but a journey of growth. Being saved is a beginning: God wants our faith, our character, our knowledge of His Word, and our Christlikeness to progress. Spiritual stagnation is dangerous. What you don't nurture eventually weakens. Growing in grace means learning to depend more on God; growing in knowledge means learning to know Christ better so that we can obey Him more fully. Ask yourself honestly: “Am I more like Jesus today than I was yesterday?” If you want your answer to be yes, then: - Dedicate time to the Word, to prayer, and to putting into practice what God teaches you. - Don't just seek to know more: seek to live more deeply with Jesus. Lord Jesus, help me grow each day in your grace and in your knowledge. Transform my character, strengthen my faith, and make my life ever more like yours. 30 Days — DISCIPLESHIP: Grow in Christ After 90 days of learning about salvation, we now begin the next chapter: learning how to grow in Christ. And where does that growth begin? With our relationship with God. John 15:5 "I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit." Jesus reminds us that a branch cannot produce fruit by itself. It must remain connected to the vine. In the same way, we cannot grow spiritually by simply attending church, knowing Bible verses, or calling ourselves Christians. We need to remain connected to Jesus. Discipleship is not about becoming perfect overnight. It is about walking with Christ every day—learning from Him, trusting Him, obeying His Word, and allowing Him to transform our lives. How do we begin? Pray — Talk to God honestly and consistently. Read His Word — Let Scripture shape your thoughts and decisions. Spend time with Jesus — Build a relationship, not just a routine. Obey what He teaches — Growth happens when faith becomes action. Stay connected to other believers — We were never meant to walk this journey alone. You may not understand everything yet. You may still have questions, struggles, and weaknesses. That's okay. The goal is not to know everything on Day 1. The goal is to keep walking with Jesus. Every prayer, every Scripture you read, every temptation you overcome, every act of obedience, and every step of faith brings you closer to becoming the person God has called you to be. Your salvation was not the finish line. It was the beginning of a lifelong relationship with Christ. Your challenge today: Set aside 10–15 minutes with no distractions. Talk to God, read John 15:1–8, and ask Him: "Jesus, what do You want me to change as I grow closer to You?" Then take one practical step of obedience.
