Topic: Let Love Live in You

    Key Verse:
"I give you a new command. Love one another. You must love one another, just as I have loved you. If you love one another, everyone will know you are my disciples."
    — John 13:34–35 (NIrV)

    Today's Reflection

One of the greatest proofs that we belong to Christ is not how much we know, how loudly we pray, or how long we have been Christians. It is the love we show to others.

Jesus gave His followers a new command: to love one another just as He has loved us. This kind of love is patient, kind, forgiving, humble, and selfless. It reflects the very heart of God.

The world may recognize people by their achievements or appearance, but Jesus said His disciples would be recognized by their love. As we grow spiritually, love should become part of our character.

Choose to forgive those who hurt you, speak kindly to others, help those in need, and treat everyone with respect. Love is not merely something we say—it is something we live every day.

When the love of Christ lives in you, your life becomes a testimony that points others to God.

    Today's Takeaway:
The clearest evidence of spiritual maturity is a heart that genuinely loves like Christ.

    Prayer:
Lord, fill my heart with Your love. Help me to forgive, serve, and treat others with kindness each day. Let my life reflect Your love so that others may see You through me. In Jesus' name, Amen.

  • Still Relevant in 2026. Still God’s Truth.

If Hebrews 13:1–5 were written to Gen Z today, it might sound something like this:

Don’t stop caring about people. In a world that often values followers over friendships, keep showing genuine love. Be kind, even when no one is watching.

Don’t ignore people simply because they’re strangers or different from you. A small act of kindness can change someone’s life, and you never know how God may use your compassion.

Don’t scroll past people who are hurting. Whether they’re struggling with depression, loneliness, poverty, illness, or injustice, don’t say, “That’s not my problem.” Put yourself in their shoes. Jesus calls us to carry one another’s burdens.

Treat marriage with honor. It isn’t just another relationship you can walk away from when things become difficult. God designed marriage to be a lifelong covenant built on faithfulness, trust, and sacrificial love. Don’t let a culture of hookups, pornography, cheating, or casual sex convince you that purity no longer matters. God’s standards haven’t changed because society has.

Don’t spend your life comparing yourself with everyone else. Social media will always show someone with a better job, a better body, a better car, a better vacation, or a better lifestyle. Chasing what everyone else has will only steal your peace. Learn to be grateful for what God has already given you.

Most importantly, remember this promise: God has never ghosted you. Friends may leave. Relationships may end. People may disappoint you. But Jesus says, “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” That promise is stronger than any trend, algorithm, or opinion.

The world will constantly tell you to want more, be more, and chase more. Jesus simply says,

    “Follow Me.”

And that’s still the best decision anyone can make.

  • Daily Devotion — July 18 | Acts 10:28 (NKJV)

    The Gospel for Everyone

Peter learned that God's salvation was not limited to one group of people. Through Christ, the invitation of grace extends to every nation and background.

The gospel unites people who would otherwise be separated by culture, race, status, or tradition. God's love reaches beyond human divisions.

As followers of Christ, we are called to reflect His heart by welcoming others and sharing the good news without discrimination.

The church should be a place where people experience the unity and love that Christ provides.

    Reflection Questions

    1. Do I treat all people with dignity and respect

    2. How can I better reflect God's love to others

    3. Am I willing to share Christ with everyone

    Prayer

Lord God, thank You for extending Your grace to all people. Help me love others as You do and faithfully share the gospel with everyone. In Jesus name Amen.

    Practical Application

    ● Welcome someone who feels excluded

    ● Pray for unreached people groups

    ● Share the gospel without prejudice

    Takeaway Thought

The gospel is God's invitation to all people.

  • Daily Devotion: Matthew 5:44-45

“…love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may become the children of your Father in heaven. For he makes his sun to shine on bad and good people alike, and gives rain to those who do good and to those who do evil.”

It’s easy to love those who care for us. Not so easy to love those against us. The people that hurt us, manipulate us, belittle us and our efforts. The strange thing is that those who do not show love to us seem to think they are entitled to receive respect and love from us.

In this scripture Jesus talks to his disciples and tells them to LOVE their enemies. Pray for them and don’t give up on them. Even if you’ve decided to go no contact, you can still bring them to the Lord in prayer. Something is missing from their lives and that something is Jesus Christ.

As the scripture says, God shines the sun on both wicked and good people. We have no right to hate our enemies. Follow Jesus’s example. He healed and prayed for both good and bad people. If He can forgive sin, who are we to say that we refuse to forgive and share love.

Remember, Jesus died for us while we were still sinful. By His blood we’ve received forgiveness, by His resurrection He gave us the opportunity to life everlasting. We can share this with others by loving them despite the way they treat you.

“In this way, we pay grace forward, embodying the essence of Christ’s forgiveness and power in our lives. We become beacons of His light, guiding others back to His embrace, back to the path where love reigns supreme.” [Bible for Women app]
