  • Daily Devotion — June 26 | Acts 4:12 (NKJV)

    The Only Savior

Acts 4:12 is part of Peter's bold defense before the religious leaders after the healing of the lame man. The authorities questioned Peter and John about the source of their power and authority. Filled with the Holy Spirit, Peter fearlessly declared that the miracle had been performed through Jesus Christ—the very One whom they had rejected and crucified, but whom God had raised from the dead.

Peter's statement leaves no room for uncertainty. Salvation is found in Jesus Christ alone. Throughout history, people have sought many paths to peace with God through good works, religious rituals, personal morality, or human philosophy. Yet Scripture clearly teaches that forgiveness of sins and eternal life come only through faith in Jesus Christ.

This truth is not meant to exclude people but to reveal God's gracious provision for all people. Because humanity could not save itself, God sent His Son to accomplish what no one else could. Jesus lived a sinless life, died as the sacrifice for our sins, and rose again in victory over death. He alone is qualified to be our Savior.

For believers, this verse provides great confidence and assurance. Our hope does not rest on our performance, achievements, or ability to earn God's favor. It rests entirely on the finished work of Jesus Christ. Because He is the only Savior, we can trust Him completely for our salvation and eternal security.

This verse also reminds us of the importance of sharing the gospel. If salvation is found only in Christ, then the message of Jesus is the greatest gift we can offer to others. The world needs to hear the good news that God has provided a way of salvation through His Son.

    Reflection Questions

    1. Am I fully trusting in Jesus Christ alone for my salvation?

    2. How does knowing that salvation is found in Christ strengthen my faith?

    3. Who in my life needs to hear about the hope and salvation available through Jesus?

    Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for providing salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ. Thank You that I do not have to earn Your favor but can rest in the finished work of the cross. Help me to trust You completely and to faithfully share the good news of Christ with others. May my life reflect gratitude for the salvation You have freely given. In Jesus name Amen.

    Practical Application

    ● Thank God today for the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ.

    ● Read and reflect on the gospel message found in Scripture.

    ● Pray for someone who does not know Christ and look for an opportunity to share your faith.

    Takeaway Thought

Jesus Christ is the only Savior, and in Him alone we find forgiveness, hope, and eternal life.

  • The Rewards of Sin

    1. Understanding What Sin Is

Sin is any action, thought, or behavior that goes against the will and command of God.

Sin separates man from God and brings spiritual consequences.

    The Bible explains sin clearly:

First Epistle of John 3:4 – “Sin is the transgression of the law.”

Epistle of James 4:17 – “To him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.”

Sin is not only about committing evil acts; it can also be refusing to do what is right.

    Examples of sin include:

    Pride

    Lies

    Sexual immorality

    Bitterness

    Greed

    Disobedience to God

    2. The Wages of Sin

The word wages means payment or reward for work done. Just as workers receive salary for their labor, sin also pays its own salary.

According to the Bible, the payment of sin is death.

Epistle to the Romans 6:23 – “For the wages of sin is death.”

This death happens in three ways:

    1. Spiritual Death
    Sin separates man from God.

Book of Isaiah 59:2 – “Your iniquities have separated between you and your God.”

When sin controls a person, that person loses spiritual sensitivity and connection with God.

    2. Physical Consequences
Sin often produces destruction in life such as:

    Broken relationships

    Poverty

    Shame

    Diseases

    Loss of destiny

Epistle to the Galatians 6:7 – “Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”

    3. Eternal Death
The ultimate result of unrepented sin is eternal separation from God.

Book of Revelation 21:8 – describes the final judgment for those who refuse to turn away from sin.

    3. The Beginning of Sin in Humanity

Sin entered the world through the disobedience of the first humans.

Book of Genesis 3:6 shows how Adam and Eve disobeyed God.

    Because of that act:

    Humanity inherited a sinful nature.

    Death entered the world.

Epistle to the Romans 5:12 – “By one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin.”

    4. The Deception of Sin

Sin often appears attractive at first but eventually destroys.

Epistle of James 1:15 – “Sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.”

    Sin may promise:

    Pleasure

    Power

    Quick success

But its final result is always destruction.

    5. The Gift of God

Even though sin pays death, God offers a free gift.

Epistle to the Romans 6:23 – “But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Through Jesus Christ, God provided salvation.

Gospel of John 3:16 – “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son…”

Jesus died so humanity could be forgiven and receive eternal life.

    6. How to Escape the Wages of Sin

    1. Repent
    Turn away from sin sincerely.

Acts of the Apostles 3:19 – “Repent therefore, and be converted.”

    2. Accept Jesus Christ
    Receive the salvation God offers.

Epistle to the Romans 10:9 – “If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus…”

    3. Live a Holy Life
    Walk in obedience to God.

First Epistle of Peter 1:16 – “Be ye holy; for I am holy.”

    Conclusion

Sin may look small, but its reward is deadly. The wages of sin is death, but God in His mercy offers eternal life through Jesus Christ.

The choice is before everyone today:

Continue in sin and receive death

Or accept Christ and receive eternal life

    Choose life.

    Prayer

“Lord, I acknowledge my sins before You. Forgive me and cleanse me through the blood of Jesus Christ. Help me turn away from sin and live a life that pleases You. Amen.”

  • Prepare to Meet Your Maker

Life on earth is temporary. No matter our age, status, wealth, or achievements, our time here is short.

God’s Word continually reminds us that we are pilgrims passing through, not permanent residents.

The greatest wisdom of life is not how long we live, but how prepared we are to meet our Maker.

Hebrews 9:27 — “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.”

Psalm 90:12 — “So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.”

    1. MAN’S LIFE ON EARTH IS BRIEF

The Bible clearly shows that human life is short and uncertain.

James 4:14 — “What is your life? It is even a vapor, that appears for a little time, and then vanishes away.”

Job 14:1–2 — “Man that is born of a woman is of few days… he comes forth like a flower, and is cut down.”

No one knows the length of their stay on earth. Therefore, postponing repentance or godly living is dangerous. Today is the best day to prepare.

    2. WE ALL HAVE AN APPOINTMENT WITH GOD

Every human being will stand before God.

Ecclesiastes 12:7 — “Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.”

2 Corinthians 5:10 — “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ.”

This meeting cannot be avoided, bribed, or postponed. The only question is: Will you be ready?

    3. HOW DO WE PREPARE TO MEET OUR MAKER?

    a. Through Repentance
    True preparation begins with repentance.

Acts 3:19 — “Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out.”

A repentant heart turns away from sin and turns fully to God.

    b. Through Faith in Jesus Christ
    Salvation is only through Jesus.

John 14:6 — “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes unto the Father, but by me.”

Romans 10:9 — “If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus… you shall be saved.”

    c. Through Holy Living
Our daily lives must reflect our readiness.

1 Peter 1:15–16 — “Be holy; for I am holy.”

Matthew 24:44 — “Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man comes.”

    4. THE CONSEQUENCES OF UNPREPAREDNESS

Ignoring God’s call has eternal consequences.

Amos 4:12 — “Prepare to meet thy God, O Israel.”

Luke 12:20 — “You fool, this night your soul shall be required of you.”

Preparation is not for tomorrow—it is for now.

    CONCLUSION

Man’s stay on earth is brief, but eternity is forever.

What you do with Jesus today determines where you will spend eternity.

Wealth, fame, and success will fade, but your soul will live on.

Prepare now. Live ready. Walk with God daily.

Isaiah 55:6 — “Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near.”

    ALTAR CALL / PRAYER

Lord, help me to number my days.

I turn away from sin and surrender my life to You.

Teach me to live ready and faithful, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

  • Rescue the Perishing — A Call to Win Souls for Christ

The heartbeat of God is the salvation of souls.

From Genesis to Revelation, one theme rings loudly: God wants to save the lost.

Every believer is called, commanded, and commissioned to bring sinners to Christ.

We are saved to save others. We are delivered to deliver others. We are rescued to rescue the perishing.

    Proverbs 24:11 says,
“Deliver those who are drawn toward death, and hold back those stumbling to the slaughter.”
This is a divine assignment for all believers.

    1. THE CONDITION OF THE PERISHING

John 3:18 – “He who does not believe is condemned already.”

The perishing are not just going to be condemned; they are condemned already.

Sin has blinded them (2 Corinthians 4:4).

They are walking in darkness (John 12:46).

Their souls are at the edge of eternal destruction.

The tragedy is not that they are sinners, but that no one is reaching out to them.

If we keep quiet, souls will keep dying.

    2. THE COMPASSION OF CHRIST

Matthew 9:36 – “But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion…”

Jesus did not just look at sinners — He felt for them.

His compassion pushed Him into action.

    * He preached to them

    * He healed them

    * He loved them

    * He sought them out (Luke 19:10)

When compassion fills your heart, evangelism becomes natural.

We must ask God for a fresh burden for lost souls.

    3. THE COMMISSION TO ALL BELIEVERS

Mark 16:15 – “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”

Soul winning is not a gift.
Soul winning is not a calling for pastors alone.
    Soul winning is not optional.

    It is a command.

Three truths every believer must know:

    A. We Are Christ’s Ambassadors

    (2 Corinthians 5:20)
We represent Christ. We speak on His behalf. We plead with sinners: “Be reconciled to God!”

    B. We Are Watchmen

    (Ezekiel 3:17–18)
If we fail to warn the wicked and they perish, their blood will be required from us.

    C. We Are Light in Darkness

    (Matthew 5:14–16)
Light is useless if hidden. Our faith must lead others to Christ.

    4. WHY WE MUST RESCUE THE PERISHING

    A. Because Hell is Real (Luke 16:23–24)
A place of torment, regret, and eternal separation from God.

    B. Because Time is Short (Romans 13:11)
Every minute a soul goes into eternity — saved or lost.

    C. Because Heaven Rejoices Over One Soul (Luke 15:7)
Every soul matters to God. Every soul is worth heaven’s celebration.

    D. Because Someone Once Helped Us
We are saved today because someone preached, prayed, or invited us.

We owe this generation the gospel.

    5. HOW TO RESCUE THE PERISHING

    A. Pray for Souls (Romans 10:1)
Every revival begins on the prayer altar.

    B. Preach the Gospel (Romans 1:16)
Share the message of Christ boldly and lovingly.

    C. Live as a Witness (Matthew 5:16)
Your lifestyle can draw or push people from Christ.

    D. Go after the Lost Intentionally (Luke 14:23)
    “Compel them to come in.”

    E. Use Every Tool Available

    * Social media

    * Tracts

    * Phone calls

    * Personal conversation

    * Crusades

    * House-to-house evangelism

    * Invitations to church

    Nothing must be wasted.

    6. THE REWARD FOR SOUL WINNERS

    A. Divine Wisdom (Proverbs 11:30)
“He that wins souls is wise.”

    B. Stars in Your Crown (Daniel 12:3)
    You will shine forever.

    C. Divine Provision (Luke 22:35)
    Soul winners never lack.

    D. God’s Special Presence (Matthew 28:20)
    “I am with you always…”

Nothing attracts God like rescuing the perishing.

Souls are dying. Hell is enlarging itself. Heaven is waiting.

And Christ is asking: “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” (Isaiah 6:8)

Will you answer the call today?

    Let this be your declaration:
“Lord, make me a soul winner. Use me to rescue the perishing.”

    ALTAR CALL
If you are not born again, Jesus is calling you now.
Accept Him, and join the army that rescues others.

The tragedy is not that they are sinners, but that no one is reaching out to them. If we keep quiet, souls will keep dying. 2. THE COMPASSION OF CHRIST Matthew 9:36 – “But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion…” Jesus did not just look at sinners — He felt for them. His compassion pushed Him into action. * He preached to them * He healed them * He loved them * He sought them out (Luke 19:10) When compassion fills your heart, evangelism becomes natural. We must ask God for a fresh burden for lost souls. 3. THE COMMISSION TO ALL BELIEVERS Mark 16:15 – “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” Soul winning is not a gift. Soul winning is not a calling for pastors alone. Soul winning is not optional. It is a command. Three truths every believer must know: A. We Are Christ’s Ambassadors (2 Corinthians 5:20) We represent Christ. We speak on His behalf. We plead with sinners: “Be reconciled to God!” B. We Are Watchmen (Ezekiel 3:17–18) If we fail to warn the wicked and they perish, their blood will be required from us. C. We Are Light in Darkness (Matthew 5:14–16) Light is useless if hidden. Our faith must lead others to Christ. 4. WHY WE MUST RESCUE THE PERISHING A. Because Hell is Real (Luke 16:23–24) A place of torment, regret, and eternal separation from God. B. Because Time is Short (Romans 13:11) Every minute a soul goes into eternity — saved or lost. C. Because Heaven Rejoices Over One Soul (Luke 15:7) Every soul matters to God. Every soul is worth heaven’s celebration. D. Because Someone Once Helped Us We are saved today because someone preached, prayed, or invited us. We owe this generation the gospel. 5. HOW TO RESCUE THE PERISHING A. Pray for Souls (Romans 10:1) Every revival begins on the prayer altar. B. Preach the Gospel (Romans 1:16) Share the message of Christ boldly and lovingly. C. Live as a Witness (Matthew 5:16) Your lifestyle can draw or push people from Christ. D. Go after the Lost Intentionally (Luke 14:23) “Compel them to come in.” E. Use Every Tool Available * Social media * Tracts * Phone calls * Personal conversation * Crusades * House-to-house evangelism * Invitations to church Nothing must be wasted. 6. THE REWARD FOR SOUL WINNERS A. Divine Wisdom (Proverbs 11:30) “He that wins souls is wise.” B. Stars in Your Crown (Daniel 12:3) You will shine forever. C. Divine Provision (Luke 22:35) Soul winners never lack. D. God’s Special Presence (Matthew 28:20) “I am with you always…” Nothing attracts God like rescuing the perishing. Souls are dying. Hell is enlarging itself. Heaven is waiting. And Christ is asking: “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” (Isaiah 6:8) Will you answer the call today? Let this be your declaration: “Lord, make me a soul winner. Use me to rescue the perishing.” ALTAR CALL If you are not born again, Jesus is calling you now. Accept Him, and join the army that rescues others.
