Be Bold in Your Faith (Romans 1:16) Have you ever been afraid to tell someone that you follow Jesus? Maybe you worried about what your friends would think. Maybe you didn't want to be called “too religious.” Maybe you were afraid of being judged, rejected, or laughed at. You're not alone. Sometimes, standing for your faith can be uncomfortable. But the Gospel reminds us that we have something far greater than fear. Paul declared: “I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes.” The Gospel is not something we should hide. It is the good news that Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners, bring us back to God, and give us new life. You don't have to be ashamed of Jesus. You don't need to hide your faith to fit in. You can follow Christ with humility and courage. Being bold doesn't mean being rude. It doesn't mean forcing your beliefs on people. It means being willing to stand for what you believe while treating others with love and respect. Your faith can be visible through your actions. Be honest when dishonesty is easier. Choose kindness when others choose cruelty. Forgive when resentment feels easier. Help someone who needs support. Speak about Jesus when an opportunity comes. Pray for people. Live differently—not to make yourself look better, but because Christ is changing you. Remember, you don't have to know every answer before you can share your faith. Simply tell people what Jesus has done in your life. Your testimony may be the encouragement someone needs to begin searching for God. And when fear tells you to remain silent, remember that God has not called you to live controlled by fear. Ask Him for courage. Ask Him for wisdom. Ask Him for opportunities. Then step forward in faith. Don't hide your light. Don't be ashamed of the Gospel. Let your life point people toward Jesus. GLORIOUS SUNDAY SERMON OF 19/04/2026 Let us pray: Father of light, thank you for the gift of life, and the opportunity to be alive. Forgive us our sins and fill us with your Holy Spirit. Speak to us and make your word turn our lives around in Jesus powerful name. LESSON: JAMES 1:2-3 TOPIC: SURVIVING WITHOUT LOSING YOUR SOUL TEXT: For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Mark 8:36 (NKJV). INTRODUCTION: Chosens of the most high God, you are welcome to this super excited Sunday, you see sometimes I wonder…What is survival really costing us? Because in this generation… people are surviving… but quietly losing something deeper. It is possible to survive this world… and still lose your soul.” Somebody say; I will not lose my soul.....The Bible asks a question… and that question is still alive today What will it profit you… if you survive the world…and lose your soul? Because in this life… people are surviving… but losing themselves quietly. They are living… but something inside is dying slowly. Tell your neighbour: Don’t lose your soul. Be immensely blessed by the word in Jesus name. EXPOSITION: [1]. SURVIVAL DON'T HIDE FAITH, IT REVEALS IT. James 1:2–3 says: “Count it all joy when you fall into divers temptations…” Why? Because the trying of your faith… works patience! Tell somebody: Pressure is a test. Jesus was tempted in the wilderness (Matthew 4:1–4)… but He did not fail the test! He said: “Man shall not live by bread alone…” Listen! Not everything you need to survive… is what you need to obey. Infact, I feel like preaching with fire here! Because survival will suggest compromise… but the Word of God will demand obedience! [2]. DON’T LET SURVIVAL REWRITE YOUR HEART. Somebody say: Guard your heart! Proverbs 4:23 says: “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” If the heart is wrong… the life will go wrong! Tell your neighbour: Check your heart. Romans 12:2 says: “Be not conformed to this world…" That is to say Don’t adjust to everything just to survive! Because little by little… compromise becomes normal. And before you know it… you are truly surviving…but you are far from God. Somebody shout: I refuse it! [3]. GOD IS STILL PRESERVING SOULS Lift your hand and say: God is keeping me! Psalm 121:7–8 says: “The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil; He shall preserve thy soul.” Not just your body...your soul! Jesus said in Matthew 11:28: “Come unto me… and I will give you rest.” Not escape… REST! Tell somebody: Rest is in Christ. And John 10:10 says: “I am come that they might have life…” Not survival alone… LIFE in abundance! Somebody shout LIFE! CONCLUSION: DON'T SURVIVE AND LOOSE YOUR SOUL! Now, Let me close it like this. Mark 8:36 again says: “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” Hear me clearly…If you survive this world… and lose your soul… Oh ! You have lost everything that matters! Somebody say: Lord keep my soul! Because God is not only helping you survive… He is helping you remain. He is helping you stay pure. Stay grounded. Stay saved. Stay alive in Him! PRAYER🙏: Father, in the name of Jesus… keep our hearts in time of pressure. Keep our souls in time of temptation. Keep us well, when life is difficult. Don't let us survive and lose our souls. Let us survive and remain Yours. In Jesus’ powerful name… Amen! Faithful Unto Death: Honoring the Witness of the Fallen Saints in 2025 The year 2025 has reminded the global Church that following Christ is not merely a confession—it is a commitment. Across nations and cultures, some believers paid the ultimate price for their faith and obedience to the Gospel. They did not die in vain; they died as witnesses. These fallen saints bore witness to Christ not only with their words, but with their lives. Today, we do not gather to mourn in despair, but to honor their faith, learn from their courage, and recommit ourselves to the Gospel they refused to deny. 1. THEY WERE FAITHFUL TO THE END Revelation 2:10 calls believers to faithfulness—even unto death. God never promised a persecution-free faith, but He promised eternal reward for steadfast obedience. The fallen saints of 2025 chose Christ over comfort, truth over safety, and obedience over survival. Like Paul, they could say: 2 Timothy 4:7 “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” Faithfulness is not measured by how long we live, but by how firmly we stand in Christ. 2. THEIR DEATH WAS A SEED, NOT A DEFEAT Jesus taught an eternal principle: John 12:24 “Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.” The blood of the saints has never silenced the Church; it has always strengthened it. From Stephen in Acts 7 to modern-day believers, persecution has only advanced the Gospel. Their sacrifice is a seed sown into eternity—awakening sleeping believers, convicting nations, and calling the Church back to bold faith. 3. HEAVEN HONORS WHAT EARTH REJECTS The world may label them as losses, but heaven crowns them as victors. Matthew 5:10–12 “Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” They were rejected on earth but received in glory. They lost their lives temporarily but gained eternal crowns. Revelation 6:9–11 shows that heaven remembers every faithful witness. Not one sacrifice is forgotten by God. 4. THEIR LIVES CALL US TO COURAGEOUS CHRISTIANITY Hebrews 12:1 “Seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses…” The fallen saints of 2025 now stand among that great cloud, urging us to: -- Run with endurance -- Live without compromise -- Preach without fear -- Stand without shame Their question to us is simple: If faith required everything, would we still follow Christ? 5. NOTHING CAN SEPARATE US FROM CHRIST Their deaths confirm a powerful truth: Romans 8:38–39 “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life… shall be able to separate us from the love of God.” Persecution did not separate them from Christ—it ushered them into His presence. The enemy intended fear, but God produced faith. CONCLUSION We honor the fallen saints of 2025 not with silence, but with obedience. Not with tears alone, but with renewed commitment. Their lives preach a sermon louder than words: Jesus is worth everything. May their witness awaken the Church, strengthen the weak, and prepare us to stand—whatever the cost. CALL TO COMMITMENT Today, God calls us to: ** Renew our loyalty to Christ ** Repent of lukewarm faith ** Embrace bold, uncompromising Christianity If persecution came, would your faith stand? If obedience cost comfort, would you obey? Let us pray for grace to be faithful unto death. PRAYER Lord Jesus, we honor the witnesses who stood firm in 2025. Strengthen our faith through their example. Remove fear from our hearts and give us courage to stand for You in our generation. May we live—and if required, die—faithful unto You. Amen.
