• Steadfast in the Faith

    Your spiritual struggle is not an anomaly, a personal failure, or evidence that God has forgotten you. It is the common experience of every believer across every generation. You are not singled out; you are part of a global, cross-generational family pressing forward through the same refining process.

    Knowing that others have faced the same battles and remained steadfast is, in itself, a source of strength. The cloud of witnesses is not merely a historical gallery; it is a testament that the battle you are in is survivable, endurable, and ultimately victorious. Stand steadfast in the faith, press forward, and know with certainty that you are not alone in the pressing.

    PRAYER:
    Gracious Heavenly Father, let my resistance be rooted in steadfast faith rather than in anxious effort. Thank You for the fellowship of believers who understand this battle. Let us press forward together in strength. In Jesus' name! Hallelujah! Amen!

    TITLE: "MORE THAN A CONQUEROR THROUGH CHRIST"

    ANCHOR SCRIPTURE(S)

    Romans 8:37 (KJV) "Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us."

    1 Corinthians 15:57 (KJV) "But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."

    QUOTE TO REFLECT ON

    "Victory is not the absence of battles; it is overcoming them through Christ."

    DAY'S REFLECTION

    Every believer will encounter battles—difficult circumstances, disappointments, opposition, temptations, and moments when life seems overwhelming. Yet Scripture gives us a powerful assurance: we are more than conquerors through Christ.

    Romans 8:37 says, "In all these things we are more than conquerors." The phrase "more than conquerors" points to complete and overwhelming victory. Paul was not saying that believers would never face difficulties. In fact, the surrounding passage speaks of tribulation, distress, persecution, and hardship. The message is that none of these things has the final authority over a believer who is anchored in Christ.

    Our victory comes "through him that loved us." We do not overcome merely through our own determination, intelligence, wealth, or physical strength. Christ's love, grace, and power are the foundation of our victory.

    Paul gives another reason for thanksgiving in 1 Corinthians 15:57: "God...giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." Notice that victory is described as a gift. We receive it through Christ. This reminds us that our confidence should not be in ourselves but in the finished work and continuing power of Jesus.

    Being victorious does not mean that every battle will end exactly as we expect. Sometimes God changes the situation; sometimes He changes us while we walk through it. But through Christ, we can emerge stronger in faith, deeper in character, and more confident in God's faithfulness.

    Life may present you with situations that seem bigger than your ability. You may feel surrounded by problems or uncertain about tomorrow. Do not allow the size of the battle to make you forget the greatness of our God.

    Face today's challenges with faith. Pray instead of panicking. Stand on God's Word instead of surrendering to fear. Give thanks even before you see the outcome, because your confidence is in Christ.

    You are not fighting for victory alone—you are standing in the victory Christ has already made available to you.

    MEDITATION SCRIPTURE(S)

    2 Corinthians 2:14 (KJV) "Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place."

    1 John 4:4 (KJV) "Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world."

    LIFE LESSONS (IMPLICATIONS)

    1. Victory comes through Christ, not human strength alone.

    2. Difficult circumstances do not cancel God's purpose for our lives.

    3. We can face challenges with confidence because Christ is with us.

    4. Thanksgiving strengthens our focus on God's faithfulness rather than our problems.

    5. The presence of Christ within us is greater than every opposition around us.

    EVERYDAY ACTION

    Face today's challenges with faith, thanksgiving, and confidence in Christ rather than fear.

    PRAYER

    Heavenly Father, thank You for giving me victory through Jesus Christ. Strengthen me to overcome every challenge and help me remain confident in Your love and power. In Jesus' name, Amen.

    DECLARATION

    I am more than a conqueror through Christ who loves me. I have victory through Jesus, and no challenge will overcome me. I will walk in faith, courage, and thanksgiving because greater is He that is in me. Amen.

  • Good morning, brethren.
    1. Morning devotion for today.

    1. MD.i. MORNING TEA
    THE WORD FOR TODAY
    TUESDAY AUGUST 18, 2O26.
    "DR. JAMES DOBSON ON PARENTING (3)"

    ‘…Bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.’ Ephesians 6:4 NIV

    WHEN ASKED, ‘How do you suggest parents handle their children’s activities on web sites like Facebook and Twitter?’ Dr. Dobson gave this advice: ‘Parents have to know what technology their kids are using. Sexting is a terrible thing. (‘Sexting’ is the new term for children exposing themselves to one another online, thinking they are safe because they are in the sanctuary of their own home.) Pornography is pervasive, and parents need to keep up with changes in technology and protect their kids. That’s a tough assignment, because kids are ahead of them. Parents often have extremely demanding careers and when they come home they have nothing left to give, so the culture will often take your kids to hell.’ One night a father and his daughter were out on a lake when their small boat was caught in a storm. As he rowed, Dad kept saying to his daughter, ‘Can you see the shore? Can you see the shore?’ After a terrifying hour the little girl pointed over her dad’s shoulder and said, ‘Yes, I see the light. Mum said if we were out after dark she would hang a light in the window.’ When they finally got home a tearful mother hugged her husband and daughter, and thanked God for their safe return. Looking at her, the little girl said, ‘Mum, you never had to worry. We steered by your light!’ Parent, your children are being caught in life’s storms. They are rowing in the dark with no sense of direction. Live for God, and give them a light they can steer by!

    *THIRSTING AFTER GOD*

    *TEXT:* PSALM 42:1-5.

    1As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.
    2 My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?
    3 My tears have been my meat day and night, while they continually say unto me, Where is thy God?
    4 When I remember these things, I pour out my soul in me: for I had gone with the multitude, I went with them to the house of God, with the voice of joy and praise, with a multitude that kept holyday.
    5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance.

    *Timeless Truth:*_"O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;"_ Psalm 63:1).

    *INTRODUCTION*

    When a man ceases to experience thirst, he is as good as dead. The same is true in the spiritual. In fact, one of the first experiences of a converted man is thirst for God and spiritual things. Spiritual thirst is a deep longing for God and His presence. Just as the body cannot survive without water, the soul cannot flourish without God. The psalmist expresses an intense desire for the living God despite the pain, tears, discouragement and difficult circumstances surrounding him. His experience teaches us that genuine faith does not mean the absence of trouble; rather, it means learning to seek God even in the midst of trouble. When everything else fails, God remains the only lasting satisfaction for the thirsty soul.

    *1. Thirsting After God Like a Hart*

    a. The psalmist declares, *“As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.”* A thirsty hart desperately seeks water because its survival depends upon it. Many are thirsty for wealth, pleasure, popularity, power and pride of life among others. The thirst makes them pay a heavy price to get what they are looking for. At times they pay the ultimate price. True thirst will always be demonstrated by desperate seeking for how to satisfy and quench the thirst. In the same vein, many commonly seek God's blessings without seeking for the God of the blessings. The psalmist case was different. *"So panteth my soul after thee"*. Who and what you are passionately and desperately seeking for is a reflection of the state of your heart. In the same manner, the believer should have an earnest and persistent longing for God. The psalmist does not merely desire God's gifts; he desires God Himself.
    b. His greatest hunger is to *“appear before God.”* He was thirsty to become closer to God. Jesus also echoed this when He said, *"seek ye first the kingdom of God and its righteousness"*. Our ultimate purpose for seeking God was to see His glory, be conformed to His image and be always ready for the kingdom of God. Jesus further assured that *"all other things shall be added unto you"*. The psalmist demonstrated his thirst for God when he decided, *"early will I seek thee...to see thy power and thy glory as I have seen thee in the sanctuary"* (Psalm 63:1,2). Our spiritual lives become weak when our desire for God is replaced by the pursuit of worldly pleasures, possessions, recognition or human approval. Genuine revival begins when the soul cries out for God's presence, His Word, His holiness and fellowship with Him.

    *Question*

    Is my desire for God as deep and urgent as the thirst of a hart for water?

    *2. Tearful Afflictions Giving Loss of Hope*

    a. Incidentally, the psalmist did not prioritize seeking for heavenly blessings above seeking for God just because everything was going well with him. In fact, the psalmist's circumstances have become so painful that his tears have been his food day and night. He was not finding it rosy in life at that time. One would have expected him, as many worshippers do today, to concentrate on seeking God for release from pains and troubles as priority. Worse still, people around him mockingly asked, directly and indirectly, *“Where is thy God?”.* His memories of former worship and joyful fellowship with God's people intensify his present sorrow. Yet that did not distract his affections towards God.
    b. At times, affliction can attack not only our circumstances, but also our emotions and confidence. Yet the psalmist's tears reveal that God's children may experience seasons of deep discouragement without being abandoned by God. His pain was real, but it did not have the final word. Even when circumstances seem to contradict God's promises, faith must continue to look toward Him. Seeking God and His righteousness, above all else, should not be diminished as a result of our pains, problems, persecutions and poverty among others. Whatever be our situations, the promises of God that *"all other blessings shall be added"* still stand as long as we keep seeking the face and the glory of God to be reflected in our lives above all else. We must have grace to be tougher than our tough challenges. It is our attitude and the content of our prayers in the time of distress and difficulties that reflect the genuineness of our love for God. Jesus Christ, while on the cross and under intense pains, was still consecrated to soulwinning and intercessory prayers for the sinners and the lost. The will of God and the glory of God was His priority. He has given us examples to follow.

    *Question*

    Am I consecrated to seek God and His glory as priority when affliction and tears surround me?

    *3. Trust in Abiding Grace with a Life of Holiness*

    When passing through tough times, we must maintain trust in God's abundant grace and continue to live the life that God approves. There is no challenge we pass through that God has not allowed and if God allowed it, then He will see us through as children. The act of faith is in mocking those challenges and still continues seeking the glory of God and heavenly readiness. We must learn how to feed our frustrations and fruitlessness with the word of hope and promises given by God. The psalmist speaks directly to his troubled soul: *“Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God.”* He refuses to surrender permanently to despair. Instead, he deliberately redirects his heart toward God. Trusting God's abiding grace means choosing hope when feelings say there is no hope. It also means continuing to live faithfully, before God while waiting for His intervention. A thirsty soul must not only seek God's presence, but also remain committed to a holy life. God's grace sustains us, restores our joy and enables us to praise Him even before our circumstances change. For a child of God, no bad situation is permanent, but temporary and for a moment. *"weeping may endure for the night, but joy cometh in the morning"*.

    *Question*

    Am I deliberately trusting God's abiding grace and maintaining a holy life even when my circumstances are discouraging?

    *Prayer Points*

    1.Father, create within me an unquenchable thirst for Your presence and Your Word .
    2.Lord, strengthen me when tears, afflictions and discouragement threaten my faith .
    3.Father, make me tougher than my challenges and keep me on being engaged in Your service .
    4.Lord, visit and help those brethren who are carrying heavy loads and sustain them by Your grace .

    ```KEY VERSE:``` _*"Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance" (PSALM 42:5).*_
    *As German bombs fell on England during _World War II,_ the situation became desperate. Hearts were filled with discouragement and thoughts of defeat. Then Winston Churchill's voice echoed over the radio. It inspired the nation and boosted morale among a people on the verge of giving up. On a spiritual level, believers find hope in God too, as they hear the voice that resonates through the pages of His Word. In moments of discouragement, Christians serve as a testimony to those who have never met God or heard His voice.*
    *David exemplifies this in our devotional text as he expresses acute hunger and "thirst for God, the living God". In his hopelessness, he recalled the exhilarating moments he had in God's house and presence. Reminiscences of the voice of joy and praise filled his soul. Awakened by the testimonies of God's faithfulness and the certainty of blessedness that flows from trust in God, he gladly addresses his soul and jerks back from the abyss of despondency.*
    *Are you troubled about any ugly situation or setback? Cheer up and look up! Here are gems and clues for you as a Christian pilgrim, who could, at times, be discouraged and cast down. Don't stay down. David didn't. He queried and counselled his soul. First is to know that neither discouragement nor despondency is a sign of weakness. Elijah is one biblical character who fits this description. After defeating the prophets of Baal, he received a death threat from Jezebel. His hope was shattered, and despondency set in. He wanted to die! The Lord did not rebuke him for his feelings but sent an angel to provide for his physical needs. In our times of discouragement, suicide is no option; it only leads to a more serious, endless and interminable suffering in hell. The present challenge or problem has not diminished God's love for us. He desires to lead us to a place of a renewed vision of His power!*
    *The time to exit the discouragement mode is now! Take the verifiable steps that effectively log you out, which include a deep, interminable longing for God. This is what Isaiah calls "waiting upon the Lord". Second, you will do well to consciously recall and delight in God's past acts of mercy, divine interventions, and faithfulness. Finally, you must deliberately seek the remedy of praise to uplift your downcast, crestfallen, and discouraged heart. Beloved, don't give in to despair! God will certainly lead you in paths of love, light and joy, where you will find new hope.*
    ``` MEMORY VERSE:``` _*"For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another" (GALATIANS 5:13).*_

    *The Christian liberty is the freedom Christ has purchased for the children of God through His death on the Cross of Calvary. The devil fights this liberty in diverse ways. When young Christians fail to understand their liberty in Christ, the devil keeps reminding them about their past sins to create major stumbling blocks to their prayers.*

    *It is a common strategy of the devil to manipulate them and push them back into their shells. Once you are born again through genuine repentance, you have the liberty to serve God in truth and in Spirit because God does not give us the spirit of fear but He gives us the Spirit of power and of a sound mind.*

    *When God has forgiven you, you are justified by faith and no longer bound to the yoke of sin. However, this liberty is not a guarantee to continue in sins, believing the erroneous doctrine of eternal security. Apostle Paul warns: "For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another" (Galatians 5:13).*

    ```Key Verse:``` _*"Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve" (Matthew 4:10).*_
    Jesus has power and authority over Satan, and He always uses them at the appropriate time. In this situation, Jesus did not hesitate to command Satan to get behind Him. Satan knew that Jesus is over and above him, yet he tempted Christ to bow down in worship to him. Can the master bow to worship his servant? No! Jesus cannot, will not, and did not bow to Satan.
    As a friend of Jesus, you must know who you are in Christ. You are a joint-heir with Christ. What Jesus has is what you have because of the privilege of sonship. Do not throw your costly apparels (Christian experiences) to the dogs. The things of this world as stated in 1 John 2:15-17 will pass away.
    Let the love of God and the things of eternal value be uppermost in your heart. Do not yield to the enticement and allurement that your friends are using to deceive you. The fashions of the world may look attractive, but they will soon pass away. Do not follow them. Do not seek to please the world. Strive to please only God.
    *Jesus has set the example of refusing to bow to Satan in order to show us that we can be victorious. You can do likewise. Become His friend if you are not, follow Him faithfully and consistently, and He will give you the grace to overcome Satan.*
    2. Morning Prayer for today.
    MP.i. Morning Prayer
    Thou wilt keep Moses Ishaku in perfect peace, [whose] mind [is] stayed [on thee]: because he trusteth in thee. ⏤ Isaiah 26:3
    Trust the past to God's mercy, the present to God's love, and the future to God's providence. ⏤ St. Augustine
    Father, days come and go, bringing change and decay, but You remain the same forever. A thousand years in Your sight are like a single day. With You, there is no past or future; all time is present to You. Yet in our small lives, we need daily blessings. The memories of our past sorrows cast shadows on our present, and our fears for the future often cast shadows on our path.
    We are grateful that You see and know everything—past, present, and future—and that we can safely leave it all in Your hands. Help us to live faithfully in this little day that is ours, leaving the past and future with You, without worrying. So, we ask for Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, to guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, enabling us to be true and faithful in all our duties.
    We ask You, O Lord, to give us the strength and wisdom we need for today’s responsibilities and experiences. Let nothing surprise or dishearten us. Hold our hand through every situation. Give us wisdom to answer every question and make every decision in a way that pleases You. Strengthen us to resist temptation, no matter how subtly it approaches. Increase Your love within us so that we may be patient with everyone we meet, compassionate toward those who are sorrowful, cheerful with those who are discouraged, and helpful to those who are weak.
    Send us out to do Your work so that everything we do today is for You. Breathe upon us as we wait here in Your presence and give us Your blessing as our Father. We ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
The same is true in the spiritual. In fact, one of the first experiences of a converted man is thirst for God and spiritual things. Spiritual thirst is a deep longing for God and His presence. Just as the body cannot survive without water, the soul cannot flourish without God. The psalmist expresses an intense desire for the living God despite the pain, tears, discouragement and difficult circumstances surrounding him. His experience teaches us that genuine faith does not mean the absence of trouble; rather, it means learning to seek God even in the midst of trouble. When everything else fails, God remains the only lasting satisfaction for the thirsty soul. *1. Thirsting After God Like a Hart* a. The psalmist declares, *“As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.”* A thirsty hart desperately seeks water because its survival depends upon it. Many are thirsty for wealth, pleasure, popularity, power and pride of life among others. The thirst makes them pay a heavy price to get what they are looking for. At times they pay the ultimate price. True thirst will always be demonstrated by desperate seeking for how to satisfy and quench the thirst. In the same vein, many commonly seek God's blessings without seeking for the God of the blessings. The psalmist case was different. *"So panteth my soul after thee"*. Who and what you are passionately and desperately seeking for is a reflection of the state of your heart. In the same manner, the believer should have an earnest and persistent longing for God. The psalmist does not merely desire God's gifts; he desires God Himself. b. His greatest hunger is to *“appear before God.”* He was thirsty to become closer to God. Jesus also echoed this when He said, *"seek ye first the kingdom of God and its righteousness"*. Our ultimate purpose for seeking God was to see His glory, be conformed to His image and be always ready for the kingdom of God. Jesus further assured that *"all other things shall be added unto you"*. The psalmist demonstrated his thirst for God when he decided, *"early will I seek thee...to see thy power and thy glory as I have seen thee in the sanctuary"* (Psalm 63:1,2). Our spiritual lives become weak when our desire for God is replaced by the pursuit of worldly pleasures, possessions, recognition or human approval. Genuine revival begins when the soul cries out for God's presence, His Word, His holiness and fellowship with Him. *Question* Is my desire for God as deep and urgent as the thirst of a hart for water? *2. Tearful Afflictions Giving Loss of Hope* a. Incidentally, the psalmist did not prioritize seeking for heavenly blessings above seeking for God just because everything was going well with him. In fact, the psalmist's circumstances have become so painful that his tears have been his food day and night. He was not finding it rosy in life at that time. One would have expected him, as many worshippers do today, to concentrate on seeking God for release from pains and troubles as priority. Worse still, people around him mockingly asked, directly and indirectly, *“Where is thy God?”.* His memories of former worship and joyful fellowship with God's people intensify his present sorrow. Yet that did not distract his affections towards God. b. At times, affliction can attack not only our circumstances, but also our emotions and confidence. Yet the psalmist's tears reveal that God's children may experience seasons of deep discouragement without being abandoned by God. His pain was real, but it did not have the final word. Even when circumstances seem to contradict God's promises, faith must continue to look toward Him. Seeking God and His righteousness, above all else, should not be diminished as a result of our pains, problems, persecutions and poverty among others. Whatever be our situations, the promises of God that *"all other blessings shall be added"* still stand as long as we keep seeking the face and the glory of God to be reflected in our lives above all else. We must have grace to be tougher than our tough challenges. It is our attitude and the content of our prayers in the time of distress and difficulties that reflect the genuineness of our love for God. Jesus Christ, while on the cross and under intense pains, was still consecrated to soulwinning and intercessory prayers for the sinners and the lost. The will of God and the glory of God was His priority. He has given us examples to follow. *Question* Am I consecrated to seek God and His glory as priority when affliction and tears surround me? *3. Trust in Abiding Grace with a Life of Holiness* When passing through tough times, we must maintain trust in God's abundant grace and continue to live the life that God approves. There is no challenge we pass through that God has not allowed and if God allowed it, then He will see us through as children. The act of faith is in mocking those challenges and still continues seeking the glory of God and heavenly readiness. We must learn how to feed our frustrations and fruitlessness with the word of hope and promises given by God. The psalmist speaks directly to his troubled soul: *“Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God.”* He refuses to surrender permanently to despair. Instead, he deliberately redirects his heart toward God. Trusting God's abiding grace means choosing hope when feelings say there is no hope. It also means continuing to live faithfully, before God while waiting for His intervention. A thirsty soul must not only seek God's presence, but also remain committed to a holy life. God's grace sustains us, restores our joy and enables us to praise Him even before our circumstances change. For a child of God, no bad situation is permanent, but temporary and for a moment. *"weeping may endure for the night, but joy cometh in the morning"*. *Question* Am I deliberately trusting God's abiding grace and maintaining a holy life even when my circumstances are discouraging? *Prayer Points* 1.Father, create within me an unquenchable thirst for Your presence and Your Word 🙏. 2.Lord, strengthen me when tears, afflictions and discouragement threaten my faith 🙏. 3.Father, make me tougher than my challenges and keep me on being engaged in Your service 🙏. 4.Lord, visit and help those brethren who are carrying heavy loads and sustain them by Your grace 🙏. *HYMN:* More of Jesus would I know *BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:* JOB 35-38. Hearts were filled with discouragement and thoughts of defeat. Then Winston Churchill's voice echoed over the radio. It inspired the nation and boosted morale among a people on the verge of giving up. On a spiritual level, believers find hope in God too, as they hear the voice that resonates through the pages of His Word. In moments of discouragement, Christians serve as a testimony to those who have never met God or heard His voice.* *David exemplifies this in our devotional text as he expresses acute hunger and "thirst for God, the living God". In his hopelessness, he recalled the exhilarating moments he had in God's house and presence. Reminiscences of the voice of joy and praise filled his soul. Awakened by the testimonies of God's faithfulness and the certainty of blessedness that flows from trust in God, he gladly addresses his soul and jerks back from the abyss of despondency.* *Are you troubled about any ugly situation or setback? Cheer up and look up! Here are gems and clues for you as a Christian pilgrim, who could, at times, be discouraged and cast down. Don't stay down. David didn't. He queried and counselled his soul. First is to know that neither discouragement nor despondency is a sign of weakness. Elijah is one biblical character who fits this description. After defeating the prophets of Baal, he received a death threat from Jezebel. His hope was shattered, and despondency set in. He wanted to die! The Lord did not rebuke him for his feelings but sent an angel to provide for his physical needs. In our times of discouragement, suicide is no option; it only leads to a more serious, endless and interminable suffering in hell. The present challenge or problem has not diminished God's love for us. He desires to lead us to a place of a renewed vision of His power!* *The time to exit the discouragement mode is now! Take the verifiable steps that effectively log you out, which include a deep, interminable longing for God. This is what Isaiah calls "waiting upon the Lord". Second, you will do well to consciously recall and delight in God's past acts of mercy, divine interventions, and faithfulness. Finally, you must deliberately seek the remedy of praise to uplift your downcast, crestfallen, and discouraged heart. Beloved, don't give in to despair! God will certainly lead you in paths of love, light and joy, where you will find new hope.* ✍🏽```THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:``` _*God always opens the window of hope for His own in the darkest of times.*_ 📜📜```THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:``` *JOB 35-38*📜📜 Dousing Despondency https://dailymanna.app// *RECOMMENDED GOSPEL HYMNS AND SONGS - GHS 1: ALL YOUR ANXIETY; GHS 3: IMPATIENT HEART, BE STILL; GHS 4: LEAVE IT THERE; GHS 5: NEVER GIVE UP; AND GHS 7: TURN YOUR EYES UPON JESUS* *TXD [THEXDEVOTIONALS] on Twitter* *#DailyManna18thAugust2026* *#GCK* *#WorshipNuggets* *#BibleNuggets* *#LeadershipNuggets* *#RevivalNuggets* *#CrusadeNuggets* https://www.youtube.com/[THEXDEVOTIONALS] [17/08, 9:11 pm] Pastor Attah: ```DEEPER CHRISTIAN LIFE MINISTRY``` _*HIGHER EVERYD🅰️Y: (A DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE FOR YOUTHS)*_ ✍🏽👩🏻‍💼🌻 🍇🙏🏽🛰🚀🔬📚 ```TUESDAY 18TH AUGUST, 2026``` *STAND IN CHRIST'S LIBERTY* 🎚️📓📖🫵🏽🙋🏽‍♂️🙋🏽‍♀️🧎🏽🧎🏽‍♀️🙏🏽🙌🏽 📜📜```TEXT:GALATIANS 5:1-13```📜📜 📖``` MEMORY VERSE:``` _*"For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another" (GALATIANS 5:13).*_ *The Christian liberty is the freedom Christ has purchased for the children of God through His death on the Cross of Calvary. The devil fights this liberty in diverse ways. When young Christians fail to understand their liberty in Christ, the devil keeps reminding them about their past sins to create major stumbling blocks to their prayers.* *It is a common strategy of the devil to manipulate them and push them back into their shells. Once you are born again through genuine repentance, you have the liberty to serve God in truth and in Spirit because God does not give us the spirit of fear but He gives us the Spirit of power and of a sound mind.* *When God has forgiven you, you are justified by faith and no longer bound to the yoke of sin. However, this liberty is not a guarantee to continue in sins, believing the erroneous doctrine of eternal security. Apostle Paul warns: "For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another" (Galatians 5:13).* 💬 ```QUOTE:``` _*You have the liberty.*_ 🏆 ```CHALLENGE:``` _*Don't use the Christian liberty to sin.*_ 🙏🏽🙏🏽 ```PRAYER:``` _*Lord, help me to understand and enjoy my liberty in Christ.*_ Stand In Christ's Liberty https://dailymanna.app// *TXD [THEXDEVOTIONALS] on Twitter* *#HigherEveryday18thAugust2026* *#GCK* *#WorshipNuggets* *#BibleNuggets* *#LeadershipNuggets* *#RevivalNuggets* *#CrusadeNuggets* https://www.youtube.com/[THEXDEVOTIONALS] [17/08, 9:11 pm] Pastor Attah: ```DEEPER CHRISTIAN LIFE MINISTRY``` _*(SINCERE MILK: Children Daily Devotional Guide 2⃣0⃣2⃣6️⃣)*_ 🙇🏼🙇🏼🙇‍♀️🙇‍♀️🙇🏼🙇‍♀️🙇🏼🙇‍♀️🙇🏼‍♂️ ```TUESDAY 18TH AUGUST, 2026``` *THE TEMPTATION OF JESUS - 3* 📓📖🎚️🫵🏽🙋🏽‍♂️🙋🏽‍♀️👿❌🫷🏽🧎🏽🧎🏽‍♀️🙏🏽 📜📜```MATTHEW 4:8-11```📜📜 🕔📚🖋️🚻😁🎼🏆🍉🪴🌈💻 🔑📖 ```Key Verse:``` _*"Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve" (Matthew 4:10).*_ 📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖 Jesus has power and authority over Satan, and He always uses them at the appropriate time. In this situation, Jesus did not hesitate to command Satan to get behind Him. Satan knew that Jesus is over and above him, yet he tempted Christ to bow down in worship to him. Can the master bow to worship his servant? No! Jesus cannot, will not, and did not bow to Satan. As a friend of Jesus, you must know who you are in Christ. You are a joint-heir with Christ. What Jesus has is what you have because of the privilege of sonship. Do not throw your costly apparels (Christian experiences) to the dogs. The things of this world as stated in 1 John 2:15-17 will pass away. Let the love of God and the things of eternal value be uppermost in your heart. Do not yield to the enticement and allurement that your friends are using to deceive you. The fashions of the world may look attractive, but they will soon pass away. Do not follow them. Do not seek to please the world. Strive to please only God. *Jesus has set the example of refusing to bow to Satan in order to show us that we can be victorious. You can do likewise. Become His friend if you are not, follow Him faithfully and consistently, and He will give you the grace to overcome Satan.* 🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥 ```🅿️rayer:``` _*Lord, please help me to obey You only and not yield to pressure to obey, worship or serve Satan.*_ 🙏🏽 ```📖 Further Reading:``` *Luke 4:1-13* The Temptation Of Jesus - 3 https://dailymanna.app// *TXD [THEXDEVOTIONALS] on Twitter* *#SincereMilk18thAugust2026* *#GCK* *#WorshipNuggets* *#BibleNuggets* *#LeadershipNuggets* *#RevivalNuggets* *#CrusadeNuggets* https://www.youtube.com/[THEXDEVOTIONALS]. 2. Morning Prayer for today. MP.i. Morning Prayer Thou wilt keep [him] in perfect peace, [whose] mind [is] stayed [on thee]: because he trusteth in thee. ⏤ Isaiah 26:3 Trust the past to God's mercy, the present to God's love, and the future to God's providence. ⏤ St. Augustine Father, days come and go, bringing change and decay, but You remain the same forever. A thousand years in Your sight are like a single day. With You, there is no past or future; all time is present to You. Yet in our small lives, we need daily blessings. The memories of our past sorrows cast shadows on our present, and our fears for the future often cast shadows on our path. We are grateful that You see and know everything—past, present, and future—and that we can safely leave it all in Your hands. Help us to live faithfully in this little day that is ours, leaving the past and future with You, without worrying. So, we ask for Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, to guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, enabling us to be true and faithful in all our duties. We ask You, O Lord, to give us the strength and wisdom we need for today’s responsibilities and experiences. Let nothing surprise or dishearten us. Hold our hand through every situation. Give us wisdom to answer every question and make every decision in a way that pleases You. Strengthen us to resist temptation, no matter how subtly it approaches. Increase Your love within us so that we may be patient with everyone we meet, compassionate toward those who are sorrowful, cheerful with those who are discouraged, and helpful to those who are weak. Send us out to do Your work so that everything we do today is for You. Breathe upon us as we wait here in Your presence and give us Your blessing as our Father. We ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen. https://www.youdevotion.com/daily-prayer/miller/44/morning #taptapstudio #youdevotion.
    DATE: TUESDAY 18TH AUGUST 2026
    TOPIC: GOD’S COVENANT OF PROMOTION
    MEMORIZE:
    "But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil." Psalm 92:10 (KJV)
    BIBLE READING: PSALM 75:6-7
    6 For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.
    7 But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.
    MESSAGE:
    The devil often uses the promise of promotion to lure people into making covenants with him. For example, I have heard of cases where those in authority would ask someone due for a promotion at work to enter into an evil covenant by joining a secret cult before the promotion is granted.
    Beloved, if you ever find yourself in such an ordeal, I urge you never to enter into such covenants.
    Today’s Bible reading tells us that promotion comes from God. When He says yes, nobody can say no. When God decides to promote you, it doesn’t matter what anybody may try because you will reach the position that He intends. He controls the heart of kings; therefore, if anyone in authority threatens you, saying, “You will not be promoted unless you join us,” take your stand as a child of God, and never give in. Just hold on to God, and in the end, you will emerge victorious.
    Sometime ago, one of my spiritual sons came to me and said, “Daddy, I am tired of being in one spot for so long; I want to move forward. I have an interview tomorrow, please pray for me.” I replied,
    “Let us pray,” and he said, “No! Just speak a word.”
    Then I told him that the interview would be successful. He went for the interview and came back beaming with joy. He said, “Daddy, I prepared hard for the interview, but they only asked me three questions: What is your name? Which post did you apply for? When do you want to start?” | congratulated him, and he said, “Daddy, please speak another word.” I obliged and responded,
    “Your promotion will be rapid.” The next day, He came back dancing for joy. He said, “When I resumed this morning, I was asked to go to the boardroom. The people who interviewed me the previous day were seated there, and they said, ‘Our Managing Director resigned yesterday. Are you ready to take on the post?’ I replied,
    “Congratulations, that’s a rapid promotion.” He told me to speak another word, and I said that God would complete the good work He had started in him. The next day, he came back to me almost speechless as his salary had been doubled! Then he said I should speak another word, and I jokingly responded, “Do you want to collect the company from the owners?”
    Beloved, I pray that my Father will surprise you with rapid promotions, in Jesus’ name.
    KEY POINT:
    Nothing and no one can limit a man whom God has decided to promote.
    CHORUS:
    Lord, lift me up and let me stand, By faith, on Heaven's table-land; Where love, and joy, and light abound, Lord, plant my feet on higher
  • MONDAY MORNING PRAYER
    “BUT IF NOT!”
    A Faith That Trusts God Regardless of the Outcome!
    Scripture: Daniel 3:17–18 (KJV)
    “If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace... But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods...”
    Heavenly Father, we come before You this Monday morning with hearts still overflowing from the awesome service we experienced yesterday. Thank You for Your presence, Your Word, Your power, and the reminder that You are still God—even when life doesn't turn out the way we expected.
    Lord, as we begin this new week, give us the faith of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. They stood before a fiery furnace knowing You were able to deliver them, but their faith wasn't dependent upon whether You did.
    Their declaration was simple but powerful:
    “Our God is able... BUT IF NOT, we still won't bow!”
    Father, give us that kind of faith!
    When the prayer hasn't been answered yet—we will still worship You.
    When the healing hasn't manifested yet—we will still trust You.
    When the financial breakthrough hasn't come yet—we will still praise You.
    When the family situation hasn't changed—we will still believe You.
    When the door doesn't open—we will still serve You.
    When we don't understand what You're doing—we will still declare that You are good!
    Lord, teach us that real faith doesn't say, “I'll trust You if You do what I want.” Real faith says, “God, I know You are able, but even if You choose another way, I will not bow, I will not quit, and I will not turn away from You!”
    Father, some of us may walk into a furnace this week—a difficult conversation, an unexpected problem, pressure on the job, financial concerns, family struggles, disappointment, or circumstances beyond our control.
    But remind us that the furnace does not mean You have abandoned us!
    Daniel 3:25 declares, “Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire... and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.”
    God, meet us in the fire!
    If You don't keep us from it, walk through it with us.
    If You don't immediately remove it, give us strength to endure it.
    If You don't change the situation today, change us while we're standing in it.
    And when we come out, let us come out like those three Hebrew men—not destroyed, not defeated, and not smelling like what we've been through!
    Your Word says in Daniel 3:27 that “the smell of fire had not passed on them.”
    So Father, don't let yesterday's fire contaminate today's attitude. Don't let past disappointments determine this week's expectations. Don't allow bitterness, fear, frustration, or discouragement to follow us into this new day.
    We declare:
    THE FIRE WILL NOT HAVE THE FINAL WORD!
    We may be tested, but we will not bow.
    We may be pressured, but we will not compromise.
    We may be surrounded by flames, but we are not alone.
    We may not understand God's plan, but we trust God's heart.
    Father, cover our families today. Cover our homes, marriages, children, grandchildren, loved ones, churches, pastors, leaders, workplaces, businesses, finances, and every concern we're carrying.
    Go before us on the highways and byways. Protect us from dangers seen and unseen. Give us wisdom in every decision, grace in every conversation, patience in every challenge, and strength for every assignment.
    And Lord, when the enemy whispers, “What if God doesn't do it?”
    Give us enough faith to answer:
    “BUT IF NOT—I STILL TRUST HIM!”
    Because our faith isn't merely in what God can give us—our faith is in who God is!
    You are still Jehovah Jireh—our Provider.
    You are still Jehovah Rapha—our Healer.
    You are still Jehovah Shalom—our Peace.
    You are still our Deliverer, our Keeper, our Refuge, and our Strength!
    So we enter this Monday declaring:
    OUR GOD IS ABLE!
    But even if He doesn't do it the way we expected...
    WE WILL STILL WORSHIP!
    WE WILL STILL SERVE!
    WE WILL STILL PRAISE!
    WE WILL STILL BELIEVE!
    WE WILL STILL STAND!
    Because whether God delivers us from the fire or meets us in the fire, we know one thing for certain:
    WE WILL NEVER WALK THROUGH THE FIRE ALONE!
    Father, let the Word we received yesterday live in us throughout this entire week.
    “BUT IF NOT!”
    Our circumstances will not determine our worship.
    Our disappointments will not destroy our faith.
    Our trials will not make us bow.
    GOD IS ABLE—AND GOD IS STILL GOD!
    In the mighty, matchless, and victorious name of Jesus Christ, we pray.
    AMEN!
    MONDAY Morning Declaration...
    My God is able! But if He chooses another way, I will still trust Him. I will not bow to fear, pressure, doubt, or discouragement. If I have to walk through the fire, I know I will not walk alone. God is with me, God is for me, and my faith will remain standing. BUT IF NOT—I STILL TRUST GOD!
    MONDAY MORNING PRAYER “BUT IF NOT!” A Faith That Trusts God Regardless of the Outcome! Scripture: Daniel 3:17–18 (KJV) “If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace... But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods...” Heavenly Father, we come before You this Monday morning with hearts still overflowing from the awesome service we experienced yesterday. Thank You for Your presence, Your Word, Your power, and the reminder that You are still God—even when life doesn't turn out the way we expected. Lord, as we begin this new week, give us the faith of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. They stood before a fiery furnace knowing You were able to deliver them, but their faith wasn't dependent upon whether You did. Their declaration was simple but powerful: “Our God is able... BUT IF NOT, we still won't bow!” Father, give us that kind of faith! When the prayer hasn't been answered yet—we will still worship You. When the healing hasn't manifested yet—we will still trust You. When the financial breakthrough hasn't come yet—we will still praise You. When the family situation hasn't changed—we will still believe You. When the door doesn't open—we will still serve You.   • Gideon had no idea what God was purpose, Gideon feel small weak and unworthy and afraid but God saw, not what Gideon was but what he become through Him that's how God sees you.
    We live in a time when fear and doubt often hold people captive, but the message of Gideon story is clear.
    When God's calls Gideon means God saw something different, he didn't need to be the strongest or the bravest he just needed to trust obey. You may feel weak, afraid or insignificant you may think your past mistakes or failures have disqualified you from God's purpose but the Lord says "I am with you mighty warrior" Mighty warrior means showed extreme bravery in battle, skill in battle unwavering determination, valor loyalty and ability to inspire a soldier.
    When God is with you, you are never defeated He takes the ordinary and does the extraordinary. Remember your weakness is perfect place for God to show His strength, the Lord is with you! He will fight your battles, strengthen your heart and make you victorious in His name.
    The lesson God can achieve things great things through smallest effort all He ask is your faith and obedience, without faith it is impossible to please God, success in life comes from God and is marked by purity, peace and good fruit.
  • Good evening, my dear friends and family.
    As this beautiful Saturday comes to an end, I want to remind you that God is still faithful, and your story is not over. Whatever challenges you faced this week, don't allow them to steal your joy or make you lose hope. Sometimes the answer may take time, but God's timing is always perfect.
    Take a moment tonight to thank God for keeping you, strengthening you, and bringing you this far. Tomorrow is another opportunity to worship, receive His Word, renew your strength, and encounter His presence.
    I warmly encourage everyone to make plans to attend tomorrow's service. Come with an open heart and great expectation, because God can turn your situation around in one encounter. Invite someone, come early, and let's worship the Lord together.
    May God give you peace tonight, restore your strength, and prepare you for a blessed and victorious Sunday.
    You will not end this year the way you started it. Your testimony is coming! Keep believing, keep praying, and keep moving forward.
    Have a peaceful and blessed Saturday evening.
    See you in church tomorrow! God bless you all.
    DBF-001-021
    Today’s Scripture
    John 1:51 (ESV)
    “And he said to him, ‘Truly, truly, I say to you, you will see heaven opened, and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.’”
    Opening the Scriptures
    Jesus had told Nathanael that he would see “greater things.” He now begins to explain just how great those things would be.
    His words point back to Genesis 28, where Jacob dreamed of a ladder reaching from earth to heaven, with the angels of God ascending and descending upon it.
    But Jesus now places Himself at the center of that picture.
    He declares that the angels will ascend and descend “on the Son of Man.”
    The message is profound: Jesus Christ is the One through whom sinful humanity is reconciled to the holy God.
    The way to God is not found through human achievement, religious ceremonies, good works, or our own righteousness.
    The way to God is Jesus Christ.
    Living God’s Word Today
    Our world offers countless ways by which people believe they can reach God.
    Some trust religion. Others trust morality. Some believe that simply being sincere is enough. Others assume that doing more good than evil will make them acceptable before God.
    Jesus destroys that confidence.
    Later in John’s Gospel He will state plainly, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
    Christianity is therefore not primarily about humanity climbing upward toward God.
    It is about God coming down to rescue sinners through His Son.
    Jesus Christ took upon Himself our humanity. He lived the righteous life we could never live. He went willingly to the cross, bearing the judgment due to sinners, and He rose victorious from the grave.
    Our hope is not found in what we can do for God.
    Our hope is found entirely in what Christ has done for us.
    John chapter 1 began by declaring that the eternal Word was God. It has shown us the Word becoming flesh, John the Baptist identifying the Lamb of God, and ordinary people beginning to follow Jesus.
    Now the chapter closes by directing our eyes toward the One at the center of everything:
    Jesus Christ, the Son of Man, the only way to the Father.
    Do not place your confidence in yourself today.
    Place your confidence completely in Christ.
    Question for Today:
    Where are you placing your confidence for acceptance before God?
    Respond: “My hope is in Christ alone.”
  • *TODAY'S PROPHETIC DECLARATION - FRIDAY, 14TH AUGUST, 2026.*
    *THE FEAR OF THE LORD IS THE BEGINNING OF WISDOM*
    Scripture:
    “He sent redemption unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend is his name. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.” — Psalm 111:9–10 (KJV).
    *Reflection – Walking in the Wisdom of God.*
    Psalm 111:9–10 reminds us that God is holy, faithful, and worthy of reverence. He is the God who redeems His people and keeps His covenant. True wisdom begins when we recognize who God is and choose to honor Him.
    The fear of the Lord is not terror or dread; it is a deep reverence that produces obedience, humility, and a desire to live according to God's Word. When we place God at the center of our decisions, He gives us the wisdom needed to navigate life successfully.
    Today, may we seek not merely knowledge, but godly wisdom—wisdom to speak rightly, make sound decisions, avoid destructive paths, serve others faithfully, and fulfill God's purpose for our lives.
    *Prophetic Declaration:*
    Today, I declare that the fear of the Lord shall fill my heart and guide my life. I shall walk in reverence, humility, obedience, and faithfulness before Almighty God.
    I declare that God shall grant me divine wisdom and understanding. I shall not be confused concerning the decisions I need to make. The Holy Spirit shall guide my thoughts, illuminate my understanding, and direct my steps according to God's perfect will.
    Today, I receive wisdom for my family, ministry, work, business, studies, relationships, and every responsibility entrusted to me. I shall make decisions that bring peace, produce good results, and glorify God.
    I declare that every spirit of confusion, foolishness, impulsiveness, and wrong judgment is overcome by the wisdom of God. I shall not be driven by emotions, pressure, or the opinions of people. I shall seek God's counsel and follow His Word.
    I proclaim that the God who sent redemption to His people shall bring redemption and restoration into every area of my life. Where there has been loss, disappointment, or failure, the Lord shall bring renewal according to His purpose.
    I declare that God's covenant faithfulness shall speak over my life and household. His mercy shall preserve us, His grace shall sustain us, and His promises shall remain sure. No circumstance shall make me doubt the faithfulness of my God.
    Today, I receive grace to obey God's commandments. My faith shall not remain only in words; it shall be demonstrated through righteous living, loving service, forgiveness, integrity, and obedience to God's Word.
    I declare that my life shall be a testimony of God's wisdom and goodness. The Lord shall establish the work of my hands, give me favor with people, open doors according to His will, and make me a blessing wherever I go.
    I proclaim that wisdom shall distinguish me. I shall know when to speak and when to remain silent, when to move and when to wait, when to act and when to seek God's direction.
    The Lord is my Redeemer.
    The Lord is my Wisdom.
    The Lord is my Guide.
    The Lord is my Strength.
    And His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
    Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen!
    *Action Steps for today:*
    Begin your day by reverencing God and thanking Him for His faithfulness and redemption.
    Read Psalm 111 prayerfully and meditate on God's holiness, covenant faithfulness, and wisdom.
    Declare: “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; therefore, I receive divine wisdom and understanding today.”
    Before making important decisions today, pause and ask God for wisdom and direction.
    Practice obedience to God's Word in one specific area where He has been speaking to you.
    Share a word of godly wisdom or encouragement with someone who needs direction.
    End the day by praising God for every way He guided, protected, and helped you.
    *Prayer:*
    Heavenly Father,
    I worship You because You are holy, faithful, and worthy of all reverence and praise. Thank You for Your redemption, mercy, and everlasting covenant.
    Give me the grace to fear You—not with terror, but with deep reverence, love, humility, and obedience.
    Fill me with divine wisdom and understanding. Guide my decisions, order my steps, and protect me from foolish choices and destructive paths.
    Give me wisdom concerning my family, ministry, work, business, studies, relationships, and every responsibility You have entrusted to me. Help me to know Your will and give me courage to obey it.
    Let Your covenant faithfulness speak over my life and household. Restore what needs restoration, redeem what has been lost, and establish everything that is according to Your purpose.
    May my life reflect Your wisdom, holiness, love, and goodness. Let my words and actions bring glory to Your name.
    Lord, give me wisdom to live well, grace to obey You, and a heart that continually praises You.
    Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
    *Blessing for today:*
    May the Lord fill you with divine wisdom and understanding. May the fear of the Lord guide your decisions, protect you from wrong paths, and establish you in righteousness.
    May God's redeeming power bring restoration into every area of your life. May His covenant faithfulness preserve your family, ministry, work, business, studies, and destiny.
    May you walk in wisdom, speak with grace, act with integrity, and live in a way that brings glory to God.
    May divine wisdom distinguish you, God's mercy preserve you, and His favor surround you today and always.
    Fear the Lord.
    Walk in wisdom.
    Obey His Word.
    Good morning beloved and do have a blessed, wise, fruitful, and victorious day
    “𝘕𝘰𝘵 𝘤𝘳𝘰𝘸𝘯𝘦𝘥 𝘣𝘺 𝘱𝘳𝘪𝘥𝘦, 𝘯𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘷𝘦—
    𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘢 𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘢𝘯𝘵’𝘴 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘴 𝘏𝘪𝘴 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦.”
    Someone says, “𝘞𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵 𝘱𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘳 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘴 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺.” Society urges us to climb higher, gain more followers, and build our fame. But as Christians, true greatness is measured by service. Whether tempted to rise or called to kneel, the real question isn’t about power—it’s whether we will faithfully carry our great responsibility.
    Jesus declared in 🕮 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝟏𝟎:𝟒𝟓, “𝘍𝘰𝘳 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘚𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘮𝘢𝘯 𝘤𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘰, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦 𝘢 𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘰𝘮 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘺.” The disciples had been arguing over who would be the greatest, but Christ redefined greatness. The King of kings did not come demanding a throne—He came carrying a towel, serving others, and ultimately giving His life as the ransom for sinners.
    A fruitful tree does not exist for itself. Its branches bend under the weight of fruit so that others may be nourished. In the same way, spiritual maturity is not measured by how much we receive but by how willingly we serve. The closer we walk with Christ, the more our lives become a blessing to those around us.
    Scripture calls us to Christlike service. We are to “𝘣𝘺 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘦 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳” (𝐆𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟓:𝟏𝟑), and to be “𝘧𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘎𝘰𝘥, 𝘢𝘴 𝘥𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘳𝘦𝘯” (𝐄𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟓:𝟏). “𝘞𝘩𝘰𝘴𝘰𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘦 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵 𝘢𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘺𝘰𝘶, 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳” (𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝟏𝟎:𝟒𝟑). Ministry is not about being noticed—it is about making Christ known.
    The servant's heart is revealed long before the spotlight arrives. “𝘓𝘦𝘵 𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘣𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘧𝘦, 𝘰𝘳 𝘷𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘭𝘰𝘳𝘺” (𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟐:𝟑). Don't seek to elevate your platform, chase lost people for God to transform. We are not called to impress people with our importance but to bless them with Christ's humility.
    Before Christ called us to serve, He first served us selflessly. He left the glory of heaven, humbled Himself, became obedient unto death—even the death of the cross (𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟐:𝟓–𝟖). Through His sacrifice and victorious resurrection (𝟏 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟏𝟓:𝟑–𝟒), He paid the ransom our sins deserved. We do not serve to earn His love—we serve because His love has already transformed our hearts.
    Are you seeking recognition more than opportunities to serve? Whose burden will you bear? Whose souls will you lead to the Lord? You don't need Christ merely to give you a ministry—you need Him because He is the perfect Servant who teaches your imperfect hearts to serve. Don't chase a crown while refusing a towel. The path to true greatness still begins at the feet of Jesus.
    𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫: Heavenly Father, thank You for sending Your Son, who came not to be served but to serve. Forgive us for seeking recognition instead of devotion. Give us the heart of Christ, willing hands to serve, and joyful obedience in every opportunity You place before us. May our lives reflect the Greatest Servant. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
    Remember, a dose of God’s Word a day will keep you going all day!
