  • 2 Corinthians 12:7-10

7 or because of these surpassingly great revelations. So to keep me from becoming conceited, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me.
8 Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me.
9 But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is perfected in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest on me.
10 That is why, for the sake of Christ, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

  • DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 226
    DATE: 14TH AUGUST 2026
    TOPIC: BE HONEST
    ANCHOR SCRIPTURE:1 JOHN 1:9 (NLT)
“But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.”
    Devotional message:

One of the differences between a believer who experiences genuine restoration and one who remains trapped in repeated failure is the way we respond when we make mistakes. Many people, when they appear before God after falling, immediately begin to justify themselves, explain why they failed, or point to someone else as the reason for their actions. We see this pattern in the Garden of Eden. When Adam was confronted by God, he pointed to the woman, while Eve pointed to the serpent. Instead of immediately acknowledging their disobedience, they shifted responsibility.

Child of God, God cannot restore what we are unwilling to acknowledge. Restoration begins when we become honest before Him. There is no need to hide from the One who already knows everything about us. When we come before God with a broken and contrite heart, acknowledge our error, repent, and ask for His help, we position ourselves to receive His mercy and grace.

The Psalmist understood this posture. David did not merely try to conceal his failures; he came before God and cried for mercy and cleansing. He understood that his greatest need was not to defend himself but to be restored. Psalm 51:10 (NLT) says, “Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me.”

Sometimes the reason a person keeps repeating the same failure is because they have never truly confronted it before God. They keep explaining it, blaming others, minimizing it, or pretending that it is not serious. But when we acknowledge, “Lord, I cannot overcome this by my own strength; I need Your help,” we begin to experience the grace that enables us to stand.

This does not mean we should live under condemnation. There is a difference between condemnation and conviction. Condemnation tells you that you are hopeless and should remain in your failure; the Holy Spirit convicts you so that you can repent, be cleansed, and return to fellowship with God.

Child of God, do not allow pride to keep you in a cycle of defeat. If you have fallen, arise. If you have erred, acknowledge it. If you have become weak, ask for strength. If you have wandered, return to the Father. Your failure does not have to become your permanent identity.

The moment you acknowledge your insufficiency and surrender yourself to God's help, you open your heart to His transforming grace. His mercy is greater than your failure, and His grace is sufficient to help you walk uprightly.

True restoration begins with honest acknowledgement, genuine repentance, and dependence on God's grace. Stop justifying the error and allow God to restore you.

    PRAYER

Heavenly Father, I come before You with an open and honest heart. Forgive me for every error, disobedience, and failure I have tried to justify or hide. Give me the grace to acknowledge my weaknesses without shifting blame.Let Your mercy restore me and Your grace strengthen me to stand. In Jesus' name, Amen.

  • DON'T STAND ON THE THRESHOLD OF TEMPTATION

Many believers think temptation becomes dangerous only after they commit the sin. That is not how Scripture presents it.

There is a threshold. There is a middle place where you are simply considering whether you will obey God or not. That is where many people lose the battle.

It is like the bird flying over your head. The bird has not built a nest yet, but you allowed it to keep flying around because you refused to deal with it immediately.

That is why the Bible says not to give room to the devil (Ephesians 4:27). Don't give him a foothold. Don't let him stand on your veranda. The attitude should be, "Why are you standing here?" Deal with it immediately.

Many Christians remain in that middle place. They entertain thoughts they should have rejected the moment they appeared. They consider things that should never have been considered.

Then comes the next stage. You begin to agree with the thought. You enjoy it. You rehearse it. You keep turning it over in your mind. You defend it. You begin to justify it.

"There is nothing really wrong with it." "Even other Christians struggle with this." "Even pastors have weaknesses." You start building arguments for something God already condemned.

Finally, you begin planning how to act on it. That is why sin rarely happens suddenly. It has already been welcomed long before anyone sees the outward action.

David did not suddenly commit adultery.

First, he saw. Instead of turning away, he lingered. He kept looking. He imagined. The thought was welcomed and furnished. Then he inquired. He asked, "Whose wife is that?" That inquiry should never have happened.

Fantasy had already begun looking for support.

Many people excuse themselves by saying, "I'm just curious." No. There are questions you should never ask.

There are numbers you should never request. There are conversations you should never begin. There are places you should never investigate.

Every time someone has confessed how they fell into sin, there was an inquiry that should never have happened.

If you know something is a temptation for you, avoid it completely. Don't negotiate. Don't stand at the threshold. Reject it while it is still outside the door.

That is how many battles are won, before they ever become battles.

    Do have a wonderful evening!

    Fear of Failure.

There’s an old African proverb that says, “He who wants to cross a river must not be afraid of getting wet.” Too many times people don’t accomplish their dreams and goals because of fear of failure or fear of what they’ll encounter. That kind of fear keeps you from going on a diet to lose weight, changing jobs, exploring a relationship, or even accepting a promotion. But being locked in a prison of fear will destroy you. Author Paulo Coelho once said, “There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure.” Stop being afraid of what could go wrong and start being positive about what could go right. Not once does the Bible say to worry about it, stress over it, or figure it out. But over and over again, it clearly says, “Fear not.” Plain and simple, God doesn’t want His children to live in fear! He wants you to trust Him and go forward with faith that He knows what He is doing and will lead and guide you every step. Fear paralyzes your dreams, steals your happiness, and limits your relationship with God. When you start thinking, “I can’t do this. I’m just an idiot - everyone is going to laugh at me. Look at how many times I’ve failed. Everyone else can do it - I’m clearly the problem,” don’t listen to any of that nonsense and push those negative thoughts from your mind. That’s just the kind of weapon the devil loves to use against you, but don’t let fear keep you from going where God wants to take you. Claim God’s promise in 2 Corinthians 12:9-10, “But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” Text: Psalm 56:3, Isaiah 41:13, Psalm 118:6, 2 Timothy 1:7

  • *Today's Prophetic Declaration - Wednesday, 12th August, 2026.*

*JESUS IS WILLING TO MAKE ME WHOLE*

    Scripture:
“And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean.” — Mark 1:41 (KJV).

*Reflection – The Compassionate Touch of Jesus*

In Mark 1:41, a man suffering from leprosy came to Jesus with faith and humility, asking to be cleansed. Jesus was moved with compassion, reached out His hand, touched him, and declared, “I will; be thou clean.”

This beautiful encounter reveals the heart of Christ. Jesus is not distant from human suffering. He sees, He cares, and He is able to intervene. The compassionate touch of Jesus brings hope where there has been rejection, restoration where there has been brokenness, and cleansing where there has been defilement.

Today, whatever situation you bring before the Lord, approach Him with faith. The One who touched the leper is still the compassionate Savior. He is able to restore, renew, strengthen, and transform according to His perfect will.

    *Prophetic Declaration:*
Today, I declare that the compassion of Jesus Christ surrounds my life. The Lord sees me, knows my situation, and cares about every detail concerning me. I shall not be forgotten, abandoned, or overlooked, because I am held securely in His loving hands.

I declare that every area of my life that needs the touch of Jesus shall receive His gracious intervention. Where there is brokenness, let there be restoration. Where there is weakness, let there be strength. Where there is sorrow, let there be comfort. Where there is confusion, let there be divine direction.

Today, I receive the cleansing power of Christ. Every burden of sin, guilt, shame, bitterness, and spiritual contamination is surrendered to Him. By His grace, I receive forgiveness, renewal, and a fresh desire to walk in holiness and obedience.

I declare that the compassionate hand of Jesus shall rest upon my family, ministry, work, business, studies, and every area of my life. May He restore what has been damaged, strengthen what is weak, and establish what is according to His perfect purpose.

I proclaim that every situation that has made me feel rejected, isolated, or discouraged shall be touched by the love of Christ. The Lord shall restore my dignity, renew my confidence, and surround me with people and opportunities that align with His will.

Today, I receive courage to bring my needs honestly before Jesus. I will not allow fear, shame, or disappointment to keep me away from Him. I believe that He is compassionate, faithful, and powerful, and I will continue to trust His wisdom and perfect timing.

I declare that the grace of God shall sustain me throughout this day. His mercy shall speak for me, His favor shall surround me, and His peace shall guard my heart. Every good thing He has ordained for me shall come to fulfillment according to His will.

I proclaim that my life shall become a testimony of the compassion of Christ. What God has done for me shall encourage others to seek Him, trust Him, and experience His transforming grace.

    Jesus sees me.
    Jesus cares for me.
Jesus is able to touch my situation.
Jesus is my hope, my Savior, and my Healer.

Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen!

    *Action Steps for today:*
Begin your day by thanking Jesus for His compassion, mercy, and unfailing love.

Read Mark 1:40–45 and meditate on the compassionate response of Jesus to the man who came to Him.

Declare: “Lord Jesus, touch every area of my life that needs Your grace, restoration, and transforming power.”

Bring one specific burden before Jesus in prayer and surrender it completely to Him.

Show compassion to someone today through encouragement, kindness, forgiveness, or practical help.

Avoid allowing shame, fear, or disappointment to keep you from approaching God in prayer.

End the day by thanking Jesus for every evidence of His mercy and compassion.

    *Prayer:*
    Compassionate Lord Jesus,

Thank You because You see me, You know me, and You care about everything concerning my life.

Like the man who came to You in faith, I bring my needs, weaknesses, burdens, and struggles before You today. Stretch forth Your gracious hand and touch every area of my life that needs Your intervention.

Cleanse me from every sin and renew my heart. Heal my brokenness, restore my joy, strengthen my faith, and give me grace to walk faithfully with You.

Touch my family, ministry, work, business, studies, relationships, and every area of my life. Where there is difficulty, make a way according to Your will. Where there is weakness, give strength. Where there is sorrow, bring comfort. Where there is delay, give me patience and confidence in Your perfect timing.

Help me to reflect Your compassion to others. Make me an instrument of love, encouragement, forgiveness, and hope.

Lord Jesus, I trust You because You are compassionate and faithful.

Touch me, transform me, restore me, and use me for Your glory.

In Your mighty name I pray. Amen.

    *Blessing for today:*
May the compassionate hand of Jesus rest upon you today. May He touch every area of your life that needs His intervention, restore what has been broken, strengthen what is weak, and fill your heart with His peace.

May His mercy speak for you, His grace sustain you, and His love surround your household. May your life become a beautiful testimony of the goodness and compassion of Christ.

May you experience the transforming touch of Jesus today and throughout this month.

TITLE: "GRACE IS SUFFICIENT, GOD IS STILL WORKING"

    ANCHOR SCRIPTURE(S)

2 Corinthians 12:9 (KJV) "And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me."

Philippians 1:6 (KJV) "Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:"

    QUOTE TO REFLECT ON

"Where human strength ends, God's grace begins to work mightily."

    DAY'S REFLECTION

Life sometimes exposes our weaknesses, limitations, disappointments, and areas where we feel inadequate. Yet God does not abandon us in our weakness. Instead, He reminds us through Paul that "My grace is sufficient for thee."

The word grace speaks of God's undeserved favour, help, and enabling power. God's grace does not always remove the difficulty immediately; sometimes it gives us the strength to endure and overcome it. Sufficient means enough. Whatever challenge we face, God's grace is enough to sustain us.

Paul also learned that God's strength is made perfect in weakness. Human weakness can become an opportunity for God's power to be displayed. When we recognise our limitations and depend on Christ rather than ourselves, His strength becomes evident in our lives.

This does not mean that weakness should be celebrated or that we should refuse to grow. Rather, it teaches us humility and dependence on God. We should bring our weaknesses to Him, seek His help, and allow His grace to transform us.

Philippians 1:6 gives another powerful assurance: "He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it." God is not finished with you. Your present struggles do not represent the final chapter of your life. The God who started His work in you is faithful to continue shaping, strengthening, correcting, and maturing you.

There may be moments when you look at yourself and see unfinished areas, but God sees what you are becoming. Do not give up because of present imperfections. Keep trusting, keep praying, keep growing, and keep walking with Christ.

Today, remember that your sufficiency is not in yourself—it is in God's grace. Your future is not dependent solely on your ability—it rests in the hands of the God who began the work. His grace is sufficient, His strength is available, and His work in you is not finished.

    MEDITATION SCRIPTURE(S)

Isaiah 41:10 (KJV) "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness."

Psalm 138:8 (KJV) "The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands."

    LIFE LESSONS (IMPLICATIONS)

    1. God's grace is sufficient for every season and challenge.

    2. Our weaknesses can become opportunities for God's strength to be revealed.

    3. We must depend on Christ rather than relying entirely on ourselves.

    4. God faithfully continues the good work He has begun in His children.

    5. Present struggles do not determine our final outcome.

    EVERYDAY ACTION

Acknowledge your weakness before God, depend on His grace, and take one faithful step forward instead of giving up.

    PRAYER

Father, thank You for Your sufficient grace. Strengthen me in my weakness and complete the good work You have begun in me. Help me trust You until the end. In Jesus' name, Amen.

    DECLARATION

God's grace is sufficient for me. His strength is made perfect in my weakness. I will not give up, because the God who began a good work in me will faithfully complete it. Amen.

    “WHO GOD SAYS I AM”
    I AM FULLY KNOWN
    Psalm 139:1–4 (LLV) —
“O LORD, You have searched me and You know me. You know when I sit down and when I rise. You understand my thoughts from far away. You observe my path and my resting place, and You are familiar with all my ways. Before a word reaches my tongue, O LORD, You already know it completely.”
    Most people
    know only
    a portion
    of who we are.
    They know
    the words
    we choose
    to speak.
    The actions
    they happen
    to see.
    The parts
    of our story
    we decide
    to share.
    But God
    knows us
    completely.
    “O LORD,
    You have searched me
    and You know me.”
    David did not say
    that God merely
    knows about him.
    God knows
    him.
    Personally.
    Deeply.
    Completely.
    He knows
    when we rise
    to begin the day
    and when
    we finally rest.
    He sees
    the ordinary moments
    that no one else
    notices.
    “You understand
    my thoughts…”
    Before we explain
    what troubles us,
    God already understands.
    He knows
    the fears
    we cannot express.
    The questions
    we struggle
    to put into words.
    The hopes
    we scarcely dare
    to admit.
    He understands
    even when
    we do not fully
    understand ourselves.
    “You are familiar
    with all my ways.”
    Nothing about us
    surprises God.
    He knows
    our strengths.
    Our weaknesses.
    Our faithful moments.
    Our failures.
    He has never
    discovered something
    about us
    that caused Him
    to reconsider
    His love.
    That may be
    the most comforting truth
    of all.
    The God
    who knows us best
    is also
    the One
    who loves us most.
    We do not need
    to pretend
    before Him.
    We do not need
    to hide
    our questions,
    our wounds,
    or our struggles.
    We can come
    just as we are,
    because He already knows
    the whole story.
    To be fully known
    by another person
    can feel frightening.
    To be fully known
    by God
    is freedom.
    There is nothing
    left to conceal.
    Nothing
    left to prove.
    Only the invitation
    to rest
    in the presence
    of the One
    who understands us
    completely
    and loves us still.
A new beginning rests in this assurance:
I am completely known by God—and nothing He knows has caused Him to stop loving me.
Reflection: Are there parts of my heart or my story that I still hesitate to bring honestly before God, even though He already knows them completely?
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for knowing every part of me and loving me still. You understand my thoughts before I can explain them and know my words before I speak. Help me live honestly before You, without hiding or pretending. Search me, guide me, and remind me that I am always safe in Your perfect knowledge and unfailing love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  • God never asked you to be perfect before coming to Him. He never said you have to have everything figured out, be strong enough, or be fully prepared. Come to Him as you are—with your brokenness, doubts, fears, weaknesses, and unfinished battles.

You don’t have to wait until you feel ready. You don’t have to fix yourself first. Just come. Whether you are prepared or not, God is ready to meet you where you are. His arms are always open, His grace is always enough, and His love is always waiting for you.

Sometimes, all God is asking is for you to take that first step toward Him.

  • READ WITH ME – DAY 17

    Topic: Learning from Godly Parents

    Key Verse:
"My son, hear the instruction of your father, and do not forsake the law of your mother."
    — Proverbs 1:8

    Today's Reflection

One of God's greatest gifts to a child is the blessing of godly parents. Parents may not be perfect, but when they fear God and seek to raise their children according to His Word, their guidance can become a great source of wisdom.

The Bible encourages us to listen to the instruction of both our father and mother. Their correction, advice, discipline, prayers, and example can help prepare us for the future.

Sometimes, young people see correction as punishment or advice as interference. But godly parents correct because they care. They have experience that we may not yet have, and their desire should be to help us become the people God created us to be.

This does not mean every parent is perfect. Parents can make mistakes too. But instead of focusing only on their weaknesses, learn to appreciate the godly lessons and sacrifices they make for you.

If your parents are not yet walking with God, do not be discouraged. Pray for them, honour them, and continue to follow Christ. God can use your life as a light in your family.

    Today's Takeaway:
God often speaks words of wisdom through godly parents. A wise child listens, learns, and grows.

    Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the parents and guardians You have placed in my life. Help me to honour them, listen to godly instruction, and appreciate their sacrifices. Give me a humble heart that receives correction with wisdom. Bless my parents with strength, wisdom, and grace. In Jesus' name, Amen.
