    The True Author

    February 4th, 2026

Authors sometimes take on a pen name (nom de plume), which is a pseudonym used on the title page of their literary work. Samuel Langhorne Clemens used the aliases Mark Twain and Sieur Louis de Conte for different writings. Benjamin Franklin used the pen name Mrs. Silence Dogood, and C.S. Lewis wrote as Clive Hamilton.

There are different reasons why authors use pen names. Sometimes a writer wants to use a more distinctive name or even disguise his or her gender. In some cases, authors use a pseudonym to protect themselves from retribution for their writing.

When it comes to the authorship of the Bible, the writers of Scripture did not try to conceal or elevate themselves. Neither did Bible writers claim to make up the content of their messages. They acknowledged God as their divine source. Isaiah attributes his book to a vision from the Lord (1:1), as do many other writers, including Amos, Micah, and Habakkuk.

More specifically, writers often identified the work of God through the Holy Spirit in giving them messages. Ezekiel said, “The Spirit entered me when He spoke to me, and set me on my feet; and I heard Him who spoke to me” (Ezekiel 2:2). In the New Testament, Paul explained, “The Holy Spirit spoke rightly through Isaiah the prophet to our fathers” (Acts 28:25).

God has made Himself known in the Bible through the Holy Spirit. Through the hands of about forty human authors, the Lord has communicated heavenly truths over a period of around 1,500 years. Because the true source of the Scriptures came through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, we may know that the real author of the Bible is God.

    Apply It:

Carefully read (or sing) the words to the hymn “Give Me the Bible” and then carry its message with you throughout the day.

    Dig Deeper:

    Nehemiah 9:30; Micah 3:8; Romans 1:1, 2

    Key Bible Texts

The Spirit of the LORD spake by me, and his word was in my tongue. (2 Samuel 23:2 KJV)

  • We Are All in the Queue: Living Ready, Living Right.

Every minute, someone leaves this world. Not because they were old, weak, or unimportant—but because their time came.

Age does not control death; position does not delay it; wealth does not prevent it.

Scripture reminds us that life is brief and uncertain. Whether we realize it or not, we are all standing in a divine queue—moving steadily toward eternity.

We do not know who is ahead of us. We cannot step out of the line.

We cannot pause the movement. And we cannot return to the back.

The question is not if we will leave this world, but how we are living while we wait.

    1. The Reality of the Queue: Life Is Temporary

“For what is your life? It is even a vapour…” (James 4:14)

Life is fragile and unpredictable. Many plan as though they will live forever, yet eternity is closer than we think.

Wisdom begins when we accept that our time here is limited and accountability is certain.

Truth: Awareness of death should not create fear—it should produce wisdom.

    2. The Danger of Deception: Trusting What Cannot Save

“A man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.” (Luke 12:15)

Money, social status, titles, influence, and connections give a false sense of security.

History is filled with powerful people who could not negotiate one extra day of life.

Truth: What you possess cannot preserve you—only what you become in Christ prepares you.

    3. The Call While Waiting: Live Right in the Queue

Since we cannot stop the line, God calls us to live purposefully while we wait.

    a. Make Peace
“Blessed are the peacemakers…” (Matthew 5:9)

Holding grudges is foolish when tomorrow is not guaranteed. Reconciliation is urgent.

    b. Do Good
“Let us not be weary in well doing…” (Galatians 6:9)

Kindness is never wasted. Good works echo into eternity.

    c. Speak the Truth
“Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth…” (Ephesians 4:25)

Truth honors God and preserves the soul.

    d. Live Honestly
“Provide things honest in the sight of all men.” (Romans 12:17)

Integrity is what follows you beyond the grave.

    4. The Sin of Pride and Hatred: A Deadly Distraction

“Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer…” (1 John 3:15)

Why boast over others when life can end in minutes? Why seek another person’s downfall when your own breath is borrowed?

Pride blinds people to eternity and hardens the heart against God.

Truth: You cannot claim readiness for heaven while cultivating hatred on earth.

    5. The Ultimate Question: Are You Ready to Step Out of the Line?

“Prepare to meet thy God.” (Amos 4:12)

One day, your turn will come. Not by announcement. Not by warning.

The only preparation that matters is a right relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

    Conclusion

We are all in the queue—moving steadily toward eternity. Wisdom is not found in denial, but in preparation.

Let us live with humility, walk in love, pursue peace, and remain ready. When our turn comes, may we step into eternity with confidence, not regret.

    Prayer Points
Father, give me a heart that lives daily with eternity in view.

Lord, remove every pride, hatred, and unforgiveness from my heart.

Help me to walk in truth, honesty, and integrity all my days.

Deliver me from trusting in money, position, or connections instead of You.

Teach me to do good and make peace while I still have time.

Prepare my heart, O God, to be ready whenever You call me home.

    Altar Call (Salvation Appeal)
Beloved, if today were your turn in the queue, are you sure of where you would spend eternity? Jesus Christ died and rose again so you can have eternal life. If you are not born again, or you have drifted away from God, this is your moment.

    Prayer of Salvation:

Lord Jesus, I acknowledge that my life is in Your hands.

I repent of my sins and turn away from my old ways.

I believe You died for me and rose again.

Come into my heart, be my Lord and Savior.

From today, I choose to live ready for eternity.

    In Jesus’ name, Amen.

I’m a designer who lives to translate moments of revelation into images people can carry with them. When God impressed on my heart the words, “Your Glory Days are not behind you; they are ahead of you,” I knew I had to capture that promise in a visual form. The lines of Psalm 34:12–15 became my foundation:

“Whoever of you loves life and desires to see many good days,
keep your tongue from evil and your lips from telling lies.
Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.”

That passage isn’t just text to me—it’s a personal manifesto. So I arranged the typography to feel bold and expansive, with arrows pointing upward behind the words “Glory Days,” symbolizing momentum rather than nostalgia.

Beneath the title, I placed three simple calls to action:

#SpeakLife reminds me that every word has power and that I can choose to encourage rather than tear down.

#DoGood keeps me focused on practical kindness—small acts that ripple out into community transformation.

#SeekPeace is my daily invitation to pause, breathe, and respond with calm, even when life feels chaotic.

This poster isn’t a static decoration; it’s a daily invitation. When I look at it on my screen or hang it in my workspace, I’m reminded that I’m not defined by past successes or failures. I’m defined by the promise that lies ahead.

As someone whose work blends branding strategy and faith, I believe our visuals should carry truth as well as style. My hope is that this design doesn’t just catch your eye—it shifts your focus from what’s behind you to the glory God is inviting you into tomorrow.

If this resonates, I’d love to hear how you’re speaking life, doing good, and seeking peace in your own story. Let’s walk into those glory days together.
