• An old Cherokee told his grandson, "My son, there is a battle berween two wolves inside us all.
    One is Evil. It is Anger, jealousy, Greed, Resentment,inferiority, Lies, & ego. The other is good. it is joy, Peace, Love, Hope, Humility, Kindness, Empathy, &truth."
    The boy thought about it, and asked, Grandfather, which wolf wins?
    The old man quietly replied, "The one you feed."

  • Good morning to everyone. Grace and Peace be with you.

    I think the hardest witness that I have ever done is to someone that I love. Someone who is close to me. Someone that I admire. Someone who has overcome battles. Someone who I want to walk the streets of gold with. However, their views and my views are miles apart.

    The world has intertwined so many ‘logical’ explanations, ‘logical’ conclusions, and ‘logical’ dismissals for believing in God.

    1. If there is a God, why do kids get sick?
    2. If there is a God, why do those who believe in him suffer?
    3. I asked God to help and he didn’t.
    4. There is no way that the flood happened.
    5. Once you die, you die…you cannot wake up again.
    6. I believe there is a higher power, but I don’t know about Jesus.
    7. Why would anyone purposefully die for someone they don’t know?

    Seven very common, very real, very distinctive arguments that I have run into from those that I love. But the one that gets me the most is this: There are a lot of religions; what makes yours the right one?

    Anyone else run into these scenarios? Or is it just me?

    The first two kind of go hand in hand. Suffering. Illness. Without suffering, how would we know what was good? Without suffering, how could we learn empathy? Without suffering, how would we learn compassion?

    Number 3 … I asked, and he did not answer. Hmm. What did you ask for? Money? Revenge? To fix something that He told you not to do in the first place? God always answers, but sometimes the answer is No. When the answer is No to what you are asking, there is a follow-up plan; you just have to be patient. That is one thing that the enemy has exploited to a bare thin thread. We do not have any.

    Four has been proven by science. Five, if you can believe in a higher power, then why can you not believe in the Trinity? Then seven, Jesus came, he taught, he demonstrated and he died to demonstrate His love for us. He did not have to … He chose to. To demonstrate that we all have choices … some are more unpleasant than others.

    Then finally, the last common one, there are so many religions … blah blah blah … There are. Factions, splits, denominations … I am sure that they are innumerable by now … however, there is only one tomb that is empty. There is only one way to heaven.

    So, when you present facts and figures as it were, to family and they still disregard your pursuit, it cuts to the core. But know this: you may have only been the merchant who sold the seeds. Do not be disheartened. You may have only been the worker to plant the seed. Do not be discouraged. You may not be the one at the harvest, but prayerful watering that the right servant will be placed in their path; that is how I get over that hump of fear. Knowing that God has placed me where he wants me for those I am to sow into, and that he will place someone in my loved one’s path to do the same.

    Do not let the enemy steal your peace for their salvation; continue to pray and speak love.

    Be blessed.

    **So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. – 2 Corinthians 4:18

  • Dear Father,

    I've come across several questions and concerns regarding the story of the old and young prophet. You gave the young prophet an instruction, saying, "Thou shalt eat no bread nor drink water there, nor turn again to go by the way that thou camest." But there was an old prophet in Bethel who came and misled the young prophet, saying, "I am a prophet also as thou art; and an angel spake unto me by the word of the LORD, saying, Bring him back with thee into thine house, that he may eat bread and drink water." But he lied unto him.

    This false prophecy eventually cost the young prophet his life, and sadly, it seemed as though there were no consequences for the old prophet. This scenario has given room to question Your judgment, but are we judging things rightly ourselves? Empathy has a way of blurring our interpretation, such that we become unable to trace the very same pattern in our own lives: the person who causes you to sin may not necessarily be punished when you are.

    The person who causes another man's downfall may not necessarily fall with him. A man who murders another may not be killed. I believe this story should serve as a cautionary mirror, reminding us to assume the utmost responsibility for our own decisions and their consequences, regardless of who influenced them. But sadly, we miss the point. In empathizing with the young prophet, we may have forgotten that it may not matter who influences our will; but it matters what decisions we make.

  • Good morning to everyone. Grace and Peace be with you.

    Since I stepped out of my comfort zone and started offering advice and scripture to help others, I find that God did this to show me something that I did not understand. Lack of self-worth.

    I have written that I battled depression in my thirties, and I believe that God sent that trial so that I could better understand something I previously mocked. It has helped some. There are, however, areas that still do not resonate with me because I do not suffer from them. One of them is self-worth.

    Looking back, in my time of struggle, I do not remember ever feeling like I was not ‘worthy’ of whatever it was … at that time, the inability to get a job … I could not get hired in fast food, and I was not asking for anything but a job. My thoughts were, “Who cannot get hired at Burger King?” We were in a financial abyss at the time, and I could not help. That is the nuts and bolts of my depression: watching my family struggle and not being able to help. I am a control-type person …

    However, I still did not suffer from this thing of lacking self-worth. It is these people that He has sent me to help. On one hand, I am not sure why He would send a “pull yourself up by the bootstraps” person to help those, but then, why not if they can demonstrate empathy and honesty while showing it is possible to pull yourself up by the sandle-straps of Christ.

    When I witness to these personality types, I admit full on that I do not fully understand the feelings that they are having. I explain that though I do not understand, I am confident that the Holy Spirit put me in their life for a purpose, and I will do my best to help them. The fact that I am honest and pure with my position and intentions helps tremendously.

    Though I jumped into a bottle when my daughter died, I am not an alcoholic. I cannot relate to the struggle an alcoholic has. Though I grew up not liked by many, as in popular, I cannot relate to those who feel like they are not seen. Though I did not attain my goal in the post office successfully, I do not consider myself a failure. Though I have published seven books successfully, I am not a best seller, however … I am not questioning the point of continuing to write.

    In each of these cases, God placed me through; there was a reason. The reason was a brief insight to be able to show that He can save you. He can lighten your load. He can provide a shoulder to cry on. He can boost your confidence. He can give you what you are lacking. All you have to do is say, Yes.

    God has taken me out of my comfort zone to show that just because you are not the same in some ways, does not mean that I cannot love in His ways. Sometimes, it is the person who has not walked the walk that has the most impact if they are willing to follow the Spirit’s leading.

    Are you being called to step out into an area that you do not feel ready for? Good. That means that God sees something in you that will help someone in need. Do not pull away, but in a ‘fear not’ mentality, boldly step forward and say, “send me”.

    Be blessed.

    **Accept him whose faith is weak, without passing judgement on his disputable matters. – Romans 14:1

  • Good morning, brethren.
    1. Morning devotion for today.

    MD.i. MORNING TEA
    THE WORD FOR TODAY
    TUESDAY JULY 28, 2O26.
    "YOUR MISSION: TO SERVE"

    'The gospel…of which I, Paul, have become a servant.’ Ā  Colossians 1:23 NIV

    WHO AM I? What’s my calling? The apostle Paul, who considered himself ā€˜ā€¦not in the least inferior to the most eminent apostles’ (2 Corinthians 11:5 NAS), answers simply: ā€˜I am Paul. My role is serving. I am a servant to the gospel and the body of Christ.’ Certain people in the early church tried to determine which of the apostles were the greatest. Some claimed Paul and others Apollos. But Paul challenged them, ā€˜What, after all, is Apollos? And what is Paul? Only servants, through whom you came to believe…’ (1 Corinthians 3:5 NIV). Whatever your calling, be it pastor of a megachurch or a lay member, you’re no more—and no less—than a servant. In God’s kingdom class distinctions don’t count. ā€˜There is neither Jew nor Greek…slave nor free man…male nor female…you are all one in Christ Jesus’ (Galatians 3:28 NAS). We’re servants called to do the will of God, wherever He appoints us to serve. And that’s a good thing! In being a servant there’s relief from ā€˜the pressure to perform’. No one has the right to judge you except your Master. ā€˜Who are you to judge the servant of another? To his own master he stands or falls…’ (Romans 14:4 NAS). We should be concerned about what pleases God, not people. He alone can evaluate our service. Jesus came to serve His Father, saying, ā€˜ā€¦I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me’ (John 5:30). And He has also sent you to do God’s will, promising that, ā€˜ā€¦If any man serve me, him will my Father honour’ (John 12:26).

    *A BURNING JUDGMENT* šŸ«µšŸ½šŸ½ā€šŸ½ā€šŸ½šŸ½ā€šŸ½

    ```TEXT:MICAH 1:1-7```
    ```KEY VERSE:``` _*"And the mountains shall be molten under him, and the valleys shall be cleft, as wax before the fire, and as the waters that are poured down a steep place" (MICAH 1:4).*_

    *For as long as anyone can remember, Mount Wingen in Australia has been burning, with an acrid smell of sulphur in the fumes issuing from cracks along its summit. Australia's Aboriginal inhabitants had known about this burning mountain for many years before the European settlers reached the area. But soon after they came, this spectacle attracted scientific attention. It was initially thought to be a volcano or pseudo-volcano. But _Burning Mountain_ is not a volcano, Australia being fortunate in not having any volcanoes still active today. Instead, it was discovered that within Mt Wingen is a layer of coal that is burning, having been set alight by natural means.*

    *Like this Australian burning mountain, the Lord promised to turn the high places upon the earth into a burning mountain, in a planned blistering judgment, delivered through Prophet Micah. Micah was chosen as a mouthpiece of the Lord, to condemn the sins of the children of Israel in his day. He predicted swift judgment that will ignite the mountains of the land with fire, which will cascade dangerously into the valleys, like a waterfall. Samaria, which at one time was the capital city of the corrupt northern kingdom of Israel, will be ploughed like the fields and the graven images, representing the idolatry of the people shall be burned with fire. Worthy of note here is God's promise to sustain these judgements until Israel repents.*

    *Micah, like many other prophets in the Bible, was largely ignored by the sinning Israelites. Israel's protracted stubbornness dates back to their days in Egypt. When eventually, they were rescued from slavery through the supernatural hands of Jehovah, they refused to show appreciable gratitude. Interestingly, the messages of the various prophets sent to them from the onset struck a similar chord. They warned about impending judgment for Israel's sins. It is amazing that Israel could ignore prophets after prophets delivering the same messages until the predicted punishment occurred. Even their long stay in captivity in Babylon did not produce a consistent fruit of repentance in them.*

    *God expects sinners to repent and turn to Him immediately after hearing the gospel. It is sheer foolishness to engage in the habit condemned in today's text. Sinners must be persuaded and compelled, though in love, to turn decisively from sin and obtain God's free salvation. Those who blatantly refuse this offer of redemption after repeated admonitions are doomed to face His fiery judgment in eternity.*

    āœšŸ½```THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:``` _*It is neither bravery nor wisdom, but self-destruct to remain adamant to God's warnings.*_

    ``` MEMORY VERSE:``` _*"And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God" (ROMANS 12:2).*_
    *A popular adage says, "The surest way to corrupt a youth is to instruct him to hold in higher esteem those who think alike than those who think differently." This explains the possible negative effects of peer pressure on youths.*
    *In today's world, there are pressures from unconverted friends in our schools and neighbourhoods to conform to trends in fashion, fit in with a group, adhere to societal expectations, gossip or engage in activities that don't align with practical Christian values. As Christians, we should be distinct and shining amid a dark world.*
    *The metaphor "a city that is set upon a hill cannot be hid" reminds us that our lives should be distinct, yet not isolated. Beyond that, we must not shy away from letting others know the source of our transformation, Christ, the Saviour of the world.*
    *Standing out attracts persecution, derogatory remarks and denials or deprivations. Yet, we must stand out and be separate from the world and its sinful fashions, obscenity and ungodliness. Only those who suffer with Christ will reign with Him.*
    ```QUOTE:``` _*We should be distinct and shining.*_

    ```CHALLENGE:``` _*Stand out for Jesus.*_
    One of the major activities students engage in on Fridays in Bright High School is impromptu speech. Each student in the group for that day is given a chance to pick a random topic and speak on it for five (5) minutes. When it was the turn of Rhoda to speak, it was on the topic *"My Example".*
    She said, an example or examplar can be someone you know personally, such as a family member, teacher, mentor; or someone you admire from afar, who inspires one to become a better version of himself or herself through his or her achievements and positive qualities.
    TUESDAY, 28TH JULY, 2026.
    *INESCAPABLE AND INEXCUSABLE JUDGMENT*
    *TEXT:* MICAH 1:1-7
    1.Ā The word of theĀ LORDĀ that came to Micah the Morasthite in the days of Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, which he saw concerning Samaria and Jerusalem.
    2Ā Hear, all ye people; hearken, O earth, and all that therein is: and let the LordĀ GODĀ be witness against you, theĀ LORDĀ from his holy temple.
    3Ā For, behold, theĀ LORDĀ cometh forth out of his place, and will come down, and tread upon the high places of the earth.
    4Ā And the mountains shall be molten under him, and the valleys shall be cleft, as wax before the fire, and as the waters that are poured down a steep place.
    5Ā For the transgression of Jacob is all this, and for the sins of the house of Israel. What is the transgression of Jacob? is it not Samaria? and what are the high places of Judah? are they not Jerusalem?
    6Ā Therefore I will make Samaria as an heap of the field, and as plantings of a vineyard: and I will pour down the stones thereof into the valley, and I will discover the foundations thereof.
    7Ā And all the graven images thereof shall be beaten to pieces, and all the hires thereof shall be burned with the fire, and all the idols thereof will I lay desolate: for she gathered it of the hire of an harlot, and they shall return to the hire of an harlot.
    *Timeless Truth:*_"For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God. And if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God?"_ (1 Peter 4:17).
    *INTRODUCTION*
    Criminals generally don't factor the possibility and reality of being caught, convicted and condemned at the point of crime or its conception. If they do, many would have avoided the crime. Sinners must always live in the consciousness of inescapable and inexcusable judgment that will always follow their evil actions. *"Judgment must begin at the house of God"* is a clear warning to saints too that they must not live carelessly as if they will not be accountable for all their actions. The prophecy of Micah came during a period of spiritual decline in both Samaria and Judah. Though God had repeatedly warned His people through His prophets, they persisted in idolatry, injustice, and rebellion. Micah's message reveals that God's judgment is neither accidental nor impulsive; it is the righteous response of a holy God to persistent sin. No nation, church or individual can escape divine judgment when they continually reject God's mercy. Yet the warning itself is evidence of God's desire for repentance before punishment falls.
    *1. Divine Alarm at Sins*
    a. Micah, by the Spirit of God, begins by declaring the Word of the Lord and calling all people to listen. *"Hear all ye people; hearken"*. His message will be of no use except the audience takes time to listen. Israel got into the spiritual mess as a result of not hearkening to the voice of God and would only be delivered by hearkening to the Word of God. A heart that is void of the Word of God will be void of the righteousness of God. The more the Word of God dwells in the heart with fervency, the more the fear of God and the more the righteousness in the heart. God was alarmed at the sins of Israel and Judah. Northern Israel, with Samaria as the headquarters, had unbroken chain of evil rulers. Judah, with her capital as Jerusalem enjoyed godly rulers, but at this particular time, her ruler, Ahaz was ungodly. God was alarmed as to how deep and far they had gone in their horrible sins. He summons the whole earth as witnesses because sin is never hidden from His all-seeing eyes. His alarm is not merely emotional, but judicial. Before God judges, He speaks. His warnings are expressions of His mercy, giving sinners the opportunity to repent. Ignoring God's voice only increases one's accountability.
    b. In this modern time, sin has grown in bounds and boundaries with different modern names for different horrible sins. New sins are being invented in every culture and race. The verdict of God is ever the same to all sinners. *"Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them."* (Romans 1:32).
    *Question*
    Am I responding promptly to God's warnings through His Word and the conviction of the Holy Spirit or am I treating His warnings lightly?
    *2. Definite Arrival of Sufferings*
    a. God is portrayed as coming down from His holy dwelling to execute judgment. *"Behold the LORD cometh forth out of his place"*. His arrival is heralded by supernatural disequilibrium of the forces of nature. The mountains melt and valleys split before His majestic presence, showing that no power can withstand Him. His judgment is irresistible. Samaria, once proud and prosperous, would become a heap of ruins because of her persistent idolatry. *"And I will discover the foundations thereof"*. All its mighty structures would be levelled down to the ground. Every idol would be destroyed and every ill-gotten gain consumed. All this came to pass about 28 years after the prophecy in BC 722 when Assyria invaded Samaria and carried all the ten tribes captives.
    b. Divine judgment may seem delayed, but it always arrives at God's appointed time. Those who refuse repentance will eventually, experience the consequences of their rebellion. Nobody enjoys the sufferings of judgment whenever it comes. There is also the final eternal judgment for the unrepentant into the Lake of fire. When the trumpet sound of repentance is blowing, only fools ignore it.
    *Question*
    Am I relying on God's mercy while neglecting genuine repentance, forgetting that His judgment will surely come upon unrepentant sin?
    *3. Description of Annoying Sacrilege*
    The breakdown of the judgment further shows the nature of their sins that annoyed God to condemn them. Micah clearly identifies the root cause of Israel's calamity: transgression and idolatry. *"For the transgression of Jacob is all this, and for the sins of the house of Israel"*. Sin, of any form is always annoying to God. God hates sin with perfect hatred. The religion that condones, excuse or justify sin is not of God. Samaria and Jerusalem had abandoned wholehearted devotion to God and embraced practices that dishonoured His covenant. Their cities were shamelessly filled with graven images including all forms of idols. In addition, they had many temple harlots that engaged in immorality with the worshippers. Sacrilege is offensive because it replaces God's glory with human desires and false worship. Anything that occupies God's rightful place in our hearts becomes an idol. God demands exclusive worship and complete loyalty from His people. Sin, of any form or shape, is defiling, dangerous, destructive and damnable. Eternal regrets always follow a lack of repentance.
    *Question*
    Is there anything in my life that has taken God's rightful place and become an idol in my heart?
    *Prayer Points*
    1.Lord, give me a tender heart that quickly responds to Your warnings and turns away from every sinful path .
    2.Father, deliver me from every form of idolatry, compromise and hidden rebellion against Your will .
    3.Help me by the Holy Spirit, to always work in the consciousness and reality of judgment to come and to always have reverential fear of You .
    4.Lord, put Your fear in the heart of Your children and help them to live daily in holiness, obedience and unwavering devotion until the coming of Christ.
    *HYMN:* Let Him In.
    *BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:* EXODUS 39-40.
    2. Morning Prayer for today.
    MP.i. Morning Prayer
    Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved. ā¤ Psalm 55:22
    We are stronger than we know, as we draw on His grace. ā¤ Eugene Peterson
    Almighty God, our heavenly Father, we come to You in prayer through Your beloved Son, Jesus Christ. You have invited us to come to You, and we come boldly to Your throne of grace to find mercy and help in our time of need. Grant us Your peace and accept us graciously. We are sorry for our sins, which have grieved You. We offer no excuse and won't try to make our sins seem less serious than they are. We simply confess them and ask You to forgive us.
    We have burdens to carry. Some of them are heavy, and it feels like we can't bear them. But we remember Your promise that if we cast our burdens on You, You will sustain us. So we cast our burdens on You. We don't ask that You take them away from us, for it may be that we need to continue bearing them. So we ask for the grace to keep carrying our burdens, and we trust Your promise to give us the strength to sustain us as we walk under them with faith and confidence. Help us not to faint and fall under the load, but enable us to walk upright, helped by Your sustaining grace.
    Teach us to do Your will. Your will is always the best thing for us, the only good thing we can do. Going against Your will grieves You and harms our own lives. Show us Your will, day by day, step by step—what You would have us do. Then teach us to DO Your will. Incline our hearts to Your commandments. Then help us to obey them. It’s not easy for us to do this with our weak hearts, but help us today to do only the things that please You. We ask this in Jesus' precious name. Amen.
    Good morning, brethren. 1. Morning devotion for today. MD.i. šŸ˜€šŸŽ€šŸ’šŸŽšŸŒŗšŸŒ¹ MORNING TEA THE WORD FOR TODAY TUESDAY JULY 28, 2O26. "YOUR MISSION: TO SERVE" 'The gospel…of which I, Paul, have become a servant.’ Ā  Colossians 1:23 NIV WHO AM I? What’s my calling? The apostle Paul, who considered himself ā€˜ā€¦not in the least inferior to the most eminent apostles’ (2 Corinthians 11:5 NAS), answers simply: ā€˜I am Paul. My role is serving. I am a servant to the gospel and the body of Christ.’ Certain people in the early church tried to determine which of the apostles were the greatest. Some claimed Paul and others Apollos. But Paul challenged them, ā€˜What, after all, is Apollos? And what is Paul? Only servants, through whom you came to believe…’ (1 Corinthians 3:5 NIV). Whatever your calling, be it pastor of a megachurch or a lay member, you’re no more—and no less—than a servant. In God’s kingdom class distinctions don’t count. ā€˜There is neither Jew nor Greek…slave nor free man…male nor female…you are all one in Christ Jesus’ (Galatians 3:28 NAS). We’re servants called to do the will of God, wherever He appoints us to serve. And that’s a good thing! In being a servant there’s relief from ā€˜the pressure to perform’. No one has the right to judge you except your Master. ā€˜Who are you to judge the servant of another? To his own master he stands or falls…’ (Romans 14:4 NAS). We should be concerned about what pleases God, not people. He alone can evaluate our service. Jesus came to serve His Father, saying, ā€˜ā€¦I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me’ (John 5:30). And He has also sent you to do God’s will, promising that, ā€˜ā€¦If any man serve me, him will my Father honour’ (John 12:26). Bible In A Year: Lev 24:17-22; Deut15:7-11; Matt 5:38-48. Australia's Aboriginal inhabitants had known about this burning mountain for many years before the European settlers reached the area. But soon after they came, this spectacle attracted scientific attention. It was initially thought to be a volcano or pseudo-volcano. But _Burning Mountain_ is not a volcano, Australia being fortunate in not having any volcanoes still active today. Instead, it was discovered that within Mt Wingen is a layer of coal that is burning, having been set alight by natural means.* *Like this Australian burning mountain, the Lord promised to turn the high places upon the earth into a burning mountain, in a planned blistering judgment, delivered through Prophet Micah. Micah was chosen as a mouthpiece of the Lord, to condemn the sins of the children of Israel in his day. He predicted swift judgment that will ignite the mountains of the land with fire, which will cascade dangerously into the valleys, like a waterfall. Samaria, which at one time was the capital city of the corrupt northern kingdom of Israel, will be ploughed like the fields and the graven images, representing the idolatry of the people shall be burned with fire. Worthy of note here is God's promise to sustain these judgements until Israel repents.* *Micah, like many other prophets in the Bible, was largely ignored by the sinning Israelites. Israel's protracted stubbornness dates back to their days in Egypt. When eventually, they were rescued from slavery through the supernatural hands of Jehovah, they refused to show appreciable gratitude. Interestingly, the messages of the various prophets sent to them from the onset struck a similar chord. They warned about impending judgment for Israel's sins. It is amazing that Israel could ignore prophets after prophets delivering the same messages until the predicted punishment occurred. Even their long stay in captivity in Babylon did not produce a consistent fruit of repentance in them.* *God expects sinners to repent and turn to Him immediately after hearing the gospel. It is sheer foolishness to engage in the habit condemned in today's text. Sinners must be persuaded and compelled, though in love, to turn decisively from sin and obtain God's free salvation. Those who blatantly refuse this offer of redemption after repeated admonitions are doomed to face His fiery judgment in eternity.* āœšŸ½```THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:``` _*It is neither bravery nor wisdom, but self-destruct to remain adamant to God's warnings.*_ šŸ“œšŸ“œ```THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:``` *EXODUS 39-40*šŸ“œšŸ“œ A Burning Judgment https://dailymanna.app// *RECOMMENDED GOSPEL HYMNS AND SONGS - GHS 208: THE GREAT JUDGMENT MORNING; GHS 207: THERE'S A GREAT DAY COMING; AND GHS 205: HAVE YOU COUNTED THE COST?* *TXD [THEXDEVOTIONALS] on Twitter* *#DailyManna28thJuly2026* *#GCK* *#WorshipNuggets* *#BibleNuggets* *#LeadershipNuggets* *#RevivalNuggets* *#CrusadeNuggets* https://www.youtube.com/[THEXDEVOTIONALS] [27/07, 10:01 pm] Pastor Attah: ```DEEPER CHRISTIAN LIFE MINISTRY``` _*HIGHER EVERYDšŸ…°ļøY: (A DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE FOR YOUTHS)*_ āœšŸ½šŸ‘©šŸ»ā€šŸ’¼šŸŒ» šŸ‡šŸ™šŸ½šŸ›°šŸš€šŸ”¬šŸ“š ```TUESDAY 28TH JULY, 2026``` *DON'T FIT IN, STAND OUT* šŸŽšļøšŸ““šŸ“–šŸ«µšŸ½šŸ™‹šŸ½ā€ā™‚ļøšŸ™‹šŸ½ā€ā™€ļøšŸ§ŽšŸ½šŸ§ŽšŸ½ā€ā™€ļøšŸ™šŸ½ šŸ“œšŸ“œ```TEXT:MATTHEW 5:14-16```šŸ“œšŸ“œ šŸ“–``` MEMORY VERSE:``` _*"And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God" (ROMANS 12:2).*_ *A popular adage says, "The surest way to corrupt a youth is to instruct him to hold in higher esteem those who think alike than those who think differently." This explains the possible negative effects of peer pressure on youths.* *In today's world, there are pressures from unconverted friends in our schools and neighbourhoods to conform to trends in fashion, fit in with a group, adhere to societal expectations, gossip or engage in activities that don't align with practical Christian values. As Christians, we should be distinct and shining amid a dark world.* *The metaphor "a city that is set upon a hill cannot be hid" reminds us that our lives should be distinct, yet not isolated. Show us Your will, day by day, step by step—what You would have us do. Then teach us to DO Your will. Incline our hearts to Your commandments. Then help us to obey them. It’s not easy for us to do this with our weak hearts, but help us today to do only the things that please You. We ask this in Jesus' precious name. Amen. https://www.youdevotion.com/daily-prayer/miller/23/morning #taptapstudio #youdevotion.
    ā€œIn the same way the Spirit also comes to help us, weak as we are. For we do not know how we ought to pray; the Spirit himself pleads with God for us in groans that words cannot express.ā€ GNB
    Have you ever been so low in life that you felt unable to pray? I’m sure you have. It is very hard to pray when you are filled with sorrow, pain or desperation. Keeping this in mind, the above scripture should be very comforting, for it tells us that the Holy Spirit will lay our burdens before God on our behalf, even if we do lack the words.
    One should also remember that God knows our every need, so even before you ask for something, He already knows what you are going to say.
    Matthew 6:8: ā€œYour Father already knows what you need before you ask him.ā€ GNB
    Having said that, it is not impossible to pray, even if you do not feel able to. You must know that it does not matter how long, how loud or how many times you pray, what matters is that you DO PRAY. You focus your mind away from your problems and cares and look to God for assistance; THAT is the important thing. God listens to all our prayers and He will answer us. He sees your longing, feels your pain and has empathy with your sorrow. God doesn’t answer prayers because the words are perfect, no, He answers prayers because He wants to reach out to those who need Him most in an hour they feel desperately alone and helpless.
    Psalms 102:19-20: ā€œThe LORD looked down from his holy place on high, he looked down from heaven to earth. He heard the groans of prisoners and set free those who were condemned to die.ā€ GNB
    Whisper your needs to God today and have faith that He will lift you up.
    Luke 11:9: ā€œAsk, and you will receive; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened for you.ā€
  • Good evening, brethren.
    1. Evening devotion for today.
    ED.i. *DAILY WALK WITH CHRIST*
    (COCIN DEVOTIONAL)
    *DATE:*
    SATURDAY 11TH JULY, 2026.
    *SUB-THEME:*
    THE CONSEQUENCES OF REJECTING GOD'S GRACE.
    *TOPIC:*
    SPIRITUAL BLINDNESS.
    *TEXT:*
    2 CORINTHIANS 4:4-5.
    4. The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
    5. For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake.
    *TOPIC:*
    SPIRITUAL BLINDNESS.
    *THE MESSAGE:*
    Spiritual blindness is the inability to see and understand spiritual matters. According to today's text, Satan is responsible for blinding the hearts of unbelievers against the truth of the Gospel of Christ. They do not only oppose the gospel message but reject and deny the servants of Christ any opportunity to preach. Spiritual understanding comes when we encounter Christ. It is only then that one can see and appreciate the things of God. In our time, there are many people, even in our churches, who are spiritually blind, like Saul, who was killing Christians thinking he was serving God until the scales of blindness fell off his eyes (Acts 9:18). Today, Christians are being beheaded by Jihadists, Fulani herdsmen, Bandits, and Boko Haram in the name of religion. What spiritual blindness! So, do not be like them.
    *REFLECTION:*
    Rejecting God's grace leads to Spiritual blindness.
    *PRAYER:*
    Merciful God, open my spiritual eyes to see you in Jesus' name. Amen.
    *MEMORY VERSE FOR THE MONTH:*
    HEBREWS 10:29.
    How much more severely do you think one deserves to be punished who has trampled on the Son of God, profaned the blood of the covenant that sanctified him, and insulted the Spirit of grace?
    *TODAY'S BIBLE READING PLAN:*
    ECCLESIASTES 7-12.
    ED.ii. *MEDITATIONS ON DAILY*
    *ā“‚ANNA*
    SATURDAY, 11TH JULY, 2026.
    *HANDLING INCOMPATIBLE LIFE PARTNER THROUGH GOD SENT MINISTRY PARTNER*
    *TEXT:* EXODUS 4:24-31.
    24Ā And it came to pass by the way in the inn, that theĀ LORDĀ met him, and sought to kill him.
    25Ā Then Zipporah took a sharp stone, and cut off the foreskin of her son, and cast it at his feet, and said, Surely a bloody husband art thou to me.
    26Ā So he let him go: then she said, A bloody husband thou art, because of the circumcision.
    27Ā And theĀ LORDĀ said to Aaron, Go into the wilderness to meet Moses. And he went, and met him in the mount of God, and kissed him.
    28Ā And Moses told Aaron all the words of theĀ LORDĀ who had sent him, and all the signs which he had commanded him.
    29Ā And Moses and Aaron went and gathered together all the elders of the children of Israel:
    30Ā And Aaron spake all the words which theĀ LORDĀ had spoken unto Moses, and did the signs in the sight of the people.
    31Ā And the people believed: and when they heard that theĀ LORDĀ had visited the children of Israel, and that he had looked upon their affliction, then they bowed their heads and worshipped.
    *Timeless Truth:*_"Can two walk together, except they be agreed?"_ (Amos 3:3).
    *INTRODUCTION*
    What a pain, what a clog in the wheel of progress, what a frustration, what a limitation and what a life of unfulfilled dreams when someone gets entangled with an incompatible life partner in marriage? What a joy, what a pleasure, what a fulfilment in life and what an accelerated progress when a saint is fortunate to get a compatible life partner and a God sent ministry life partner. Moses had a shave of what it means to marry someone who was not compatible with his life and ministry. However, he was comforted and divinely assisted by getting a compatible ministry partner who happened to be the elder brother , Aaron. We might be tempted to excuse Moses that he had no choice than to marry a Gentile contrary to the command of God to Israelites. He should take full responsibility. His case was the case of one miss step or mistake leading to another. He had never met God personally and by experience as of then. Yet he decided to force himself into the service of God without any personal encounter with God. He eventually had to run away and hide himself for 40 years due to self management. He eventually, got involved in a marriage that might appear he had no choice. Fortunately, what he lacked in marriage, he was able to correct and make up in ministry. He encountered God and heard his voice and was guided as to who his ministry partner should be. If he had missed that too, he would have well forgotten about his ministry in life. His getting it right in the ministry partnership helped him to stand above the storms of wrong and incompatible marriage. John Wesley and Apostle Joseph Babalola are among the witnesses that joined Moses telling us that an incompatible partner in marriage is extremely painful, but no one should allow that to be an excuse for not being what God wanted him to be in life and ministry.
    *1. Divine Intolerance for Profanity*
    a. The command of God on circumcision is the issue here. Circumcision of every male born child in Israel was a confirmation and seal of the covenant of God with Abraham and his seed.
    *"Every man child among you shall be circumcised... And the uncircumcised man child... that soul shall be cut off from his people; he hath broken my covenant"* (Genesis 17:10-14). Refusal to circumcise the male child or be circumcised was profanity and there was always divine anger on such lack of irreverence for the command and things of God. Breaking any law of God that is connected to God's irrevocable covenant of blessings always attract divine hot displeasure because it is both disrespectful to God and a foolish self rejection of God's blessings attached to the covenant. *"And it came to pass by the way in the inn, that theĀ LORDĀ met him, and sought to kill him"*.
    b. Esau was accused of being profane because he despised divine blessings and rejected his double blessings of being the first born. God was angry at him for his carelessness with his birthright. *"Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright. For ye know how that afterward... he was rejected... though he sought it carefully with tears"* (Hebrews 12:16,17). God refused to overlook his profanity. The blessings of the firstborn in the Old Testament are akin to the blessing of salvation in the New Testament. Any saint who refuses to appreciate and jealously keeps his blessing and experience of salvation is a profane person and will definitely incur the wrath of God in this world and in the world to come. Gambling with any of the given gifts of God and gifts of grace will definitely invite the wrath of God and getting the divine blessings back will not be easy.
    *Question*
    Do you take the Word of God very seriously or are you a profane person who takes some of His Word for granted?
    *2. Danger of Incompatible Partners*
    a. Moses put himself in a very difficult situation that made it difficult for him to marry an Israelite. He ended up marrying a woman that was a stranger to the covenant of Abraham. There are those who have married incompatible wives before they knew the Lord or His will. Such simply married according to sight since they had no relationship with God then. Zipporah could not understand how Moses would want to inflict a painful circumcision on her loved son. The woman had to yield by force when she saw the Angel of God appeared to kill Moses. Reluctantly, *Zipporah took a sharp stone, and cut off the foreskin of her son, and cast it at his feet, and said, Surely a bloody husband art thou to me"*. The attitude of the woman showed that Moses might not have told her or succeeded in convincing her of the sacredness and importance of circumcision. Or does it mean Moses told her, but the woman rejected outright?
    b. There is danger for those who just pick up somebody to marry other than praying to know the will of God and marrying a covenant person that also have a personal experience with God. First the sacred laws of God would be despised by those people like Zipporah despised the law of circumcision. Consecration to God and fulfillment of God's purpose for the believing spouse would be judged by the unbelieving as too high and even as foolishness. As a result, rather than supporting the man or woman of destiny, the partner would be a hindrance and a ready tool in the hand of Satan. The wife of Moses ended up calling Moses a bloody man as incompatible partners would also use names and words that are not encouraging.
    *Question*
    What are the other dangers of marrying an incompatible partner? Are you also suffering it too?
    *3. Distinguished Through Inspired Partnership*
    a. Moses knew that Zipporah would be a great distraction to him and the wife also opted to stay back from that calling. Actually, there is no way an incompatible partner will be a blessing to the ministry except the person is helped to repent and get converted. Moses preferred to go it alone and the woman agreed to that too. *"he let him go: then she said, A bloody husband thou art, because of the circumcision"*. Obviously, the woman was not forced along, but rather made to return home to avoid further distractions. There is danger in forcing a partner who has no relationship with God to be part of the ministry of the spouse especially, if the unconverted spouse also wants to have her share in the ministry. That will be an unequal yoke in ministry. Moses put a dividing line between the home and the ministry. When the unconverted is allowed to share in the ministry of the spouse, the influence of the unconverted will not be helpful. However, the New Testament does not permit divorce because it is for better for life according to the Bible. The consecrated spouse needs wisdom to ensure the home front is peaceful, cared for and at the same time the ministry is not compromised or put as secondary.
    b. Moses at this time had learnt his lesson the hard way. He allowed God to guide and lead him in getting the right ministry partner and this was able to help him absorb the problems associated with incompatibility in marriage. *"And theĀ LORDĀ said to Aaron, Go into the wilderness to meet Moses. And he went, and met him in the mount of God, and kissed him"*. A lot of joy, fulfilment and happiness also follow doing the will of God and being yoked together with a person of like precious faith in ministry and conviction. The influence of Aaron helped Moses to achieve great things in the absence of his wife. *"And Moses and Aaron went and gathered together all the elders of the children of Israel... and did the signs in the sight of the people...And the people believed"*. God also raised Miriam to be a prophetess to assist Moses in the absence of the wife. Later Jethro brought the wife to join Moses in the wilderness, spousal incompatibility should not be used as an excuse for not serving God effectively. God's grace is still sufficient to fulfil the purpose of God even when the partner is not performing his/her role as partners in service.
    *Question*
    Do you use marriage as an excuse for compromising the Word of God or reducing your consecration?
    *Prayer Points*
    1.Pray to God to help you to get it right in marriage (if not yet married)and ministry and remove every form of profanity from all the members of your family .
    2.Ask God for wisdom to manage the challenges in your marriage and ministry so that you will be at your best in God's service .
    3.Pray for your spouse that God will move in him/her to be an asset to you in the service of God.
    4.Pray for divine visitation of peace to families of church leaders that the partners are not cooperating .
    *HYMN:* O brother life's Journey beginning
    *BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:* GENESIS 32-34.
    2. Evening Prayer fir toady.
    EP.i.
    Evening Prayer
    Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if [there be any] wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. ā¤ Psalm 139:23-24
    God delights to answer the prayer of faith. ā¤ Samuel Chadwick
    Dear heavenly Father, our hearts are filled with gratitude tonight as we think about how wisely You’ve led us this week. It’s been a week full of loving-kindness and tender mercy. You’ve walked with us every day and guarded us every night. You’ve brought us many blessings that will make this week bright in our memory. We’ve met new friends, read new books, had prayers answered, and found new joys. For all these things, we are very grateful.
    Look over the record of this week, which is now laid out before You. You see the spots and stains—things we did that we shouldn’t have, and things we left undone that we should have done. Speak forgiveness to our hearts. We also ask for the grace to make the coming week better than this one. We can’t change the past, but we want to make the most of what’s left. Prepare us for the Lord’s Day, and may Sunday prepare us for the new week. Let Your Word search our hearts and reveal anything that’s not right—then make us clean.
    Tonight, we pray for Your ministers who are preparing for tomorrow’s work. Fill them with Your Spirit, and lead them to the truth they need to share with Your people. Give them messages that bring life, peace, and comfort. Teach them what You want them to say. Hold them close to Your heart tonight so they’ll be ready for their sacred work. Give them empathy, so they can connect with those they’ll serve. Baptize them with a sense of human need, so they can truly help those who are hungry for the bread of life. We ask all this in Jesus' precious name. Amen.
Evening Prayer fir toady. EP.i. Evening Prayer Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if [there be any] wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. ā¤ Psalm 139:23-24 God delights to answer the prayer of faith. ā¤ Samuel Chadwick Dear heavenly Father, our hearts are filled with gratitude tonight as we think about how wisely You’ve led us this week. It’s been a week full of loving-kindness and tender mercy. You’ve walked with us every day and guarded us every night. You’ve brought us many blessings that will make this week bright in our memory. We’ve met new friends, read new books, had prayers answered, and found new joys. For all these things, we are very grateful. Look over the record of this week, which is now laid out before You. You see the spots and stains—things we did that we shouldn’t have, and things we left undone that we should have done. Speak forgiveness to our hearts. We also ask for the grace to make the coming week better than this one. We can’t change the past, but we want to make the most of what’s left. Prepare us for the Lord’s Day, and may Sunday prepare us for the new week. Let Your Word search our hearts and reveal anything that’s not right—then make us clean. Tonight, we pray for Your ministers who are preparing for tomorrow’s work. Fill them with Your Spirit, and lead them to the truth they need to share with Your people. Give them messages that bring life, peace, and comfort. Teach them what You want them to say. Hold them close to Your heart tonight so they’ll be ready for their sacred work. Give them empathy, so they can connect with those they’ll serve. Baptize them with a sense of human need, so they can truly help those who are hungry for the bread of life. We ask all this in Jesus' precious name. Amen. https://www.youdevotion.com/daily-prayer/miller/06/evening #taptapstudio #youdevotion.
