Daily pearls from the shore
*QUESTION: 5/2/12/7/2/7/0/153 =?*
A few people got stranded in a no-man ’s-land without having access to basic needs like food, etc. Apparently, there will be some time before help arrives.
Now, hours pass by, or maybe a day at the most. Everyone needs food, etc. No one really has anything to eat except one person with some snacks. What do you think can happen?
What would you do if you had a sandwich or a pack of chips, knowing the uncertainty of the situation?
No judgement. It’s only human to think for yourself and keep the little you have for yourself.
It happened in the past, too.
Many people, including five thousand men in addition to women and children who were accompanying, went to the event. The event continued for more than one day. Everybody was getting hungry and lethargic. There were no food courts or food trucks in the proximity. It was getting dark again. The speaker asked the organizers and the team to make a plan for the people to have food. The team started brainstorming as there was no provision for food for so many people. Then a little guy showed up who heard their conversation. He offered his lunch of five loaves and two fish. The speaker asked for an update on arrangements. The team informed him about the situation and the little food they could arrange with five loaves and two fish. The speaker took the LITTLE FOOD and looked to the heavens and prayed. Then he asked the team to start distributing food. (Matthew 14: 16-19)
Matthew 14:20 states, “They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over.”
They *numbered 5000 men, plus the women and children.*
*The Speaker was Jesus.*
Another time, Jesus had a healing crusade going on near the Sea of Galilee. Jesus called his disciples to him and said, “I have compassion for these people; they have already been with me three days and have nothing to eat. I do not want to send them away hungry, or they may collapse on the way.” His disciples answered, “Where could we get enough bread in this remote place to feed such a crowd?”
“How many loaves do you have?” Jesus asked.
“Seven,” they replied, “and a few small fish.”
Then He took the seven loaves and the fish, and when He had given thanks, He broke them and gave them to the disciples, and they in turn to the people. They all ate and were satisfied. Afterward, the disciples picked up seven basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over. The number of those who ate was *four thousand men, besides women and children.* (Matthew 15: 32-39)
Trying to catch some fish, the disciples were burnt out, struggling all night, only to catch none. Jesus showed up and asked to cast the net on the right side. Peter and the disciples ended up catching a huge *fish numbered 153, and their net was still intact* . (John 21:10-11)
What’s the maths here?
5 loaves and 2 fish, 7 loaves and 2 fish, no fish and 153 fish and 5000, 4000 and more.
12 baskets full left over, 7 baskets left over, and the big fish and net not broken.
I may not know the maths, but I know Jesus.
This is Jesus and His provision. This is His economy, and I am still in the preliminary years of graduation in His kingdom.
I know ***only ONE LOGIC here- HIS NAME IS JESUS.
I just know he can work with NOTHING, ANYTHING. And EVERYTHING***
Just bring it, and the rest is His responsibility.
*ANSWER: (5/2/12/7/2/7/0/153)*JESUS= ∞.*
