August 24 🌿 “WHO GOD IS TO ME” THE ONE WHO WALKS WITH ME 📖 Isaiah 43:2 (LLV) — “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned, and the flame will not consume you.” There are promises we might wish God had made. “You will never face deep water.” “You will never walk through fire.” “You will never experience anything that frightens you.” But God does not say those things. He says, “When you pass through the waters…” “When you pass through the rivers…” “When you walk through the fire…” Not if. When. Faith does not exempt us from difficult places. But neither does difficulty mean God has abandoned us. “I will be with you.” Perhaps those are the words we need most when the water begins to rise. God does not always stand on the distant shore and call, “Keep going. You'll make it.” He enters the water with us. When the river is stronger than we are, He is there. When circumstances feel overwhelming, He is there. When we find ourselves walking through something we never imagined we would face, He is there. And notice another important word: “through.” The water is not our destination. The river is not our home. The fire is not the end of our story. We pass through them. Sometimes God delivers us by removing the difficulty. Sometimes He delivers us by carrying us through it. And sometimes, only after we reach the other side, do we look back and realize how faithfully He was with us every step of the way. We may enter the water afraid. We may enter the fire wondering how we will possibly endure. But we never enter alone. The God who promised, “I will be with you,” does not leave when the road becomes difficult. That is precisely when His presence becomes most precious. A new beginning sometimes lies on the other side of deep water: I do not need a life without difficult passages; I need the assurance that God will walk through them with me. Reflection: Am I interpreting a difficult season as evidence that God has left me, or am I looking for His presence with me in the middle of it? Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You that You never promise from a distance. When I pass through deep waters, You are with me. When circumstances threaten to overwhelm me, You remain beside me. When I must walk through the fire, help me trust Your presence more than I fear the flames. Give me courage for today's passage and faith to remember that I am only passing through. 24-08-2026 Bought With a Price 1 Corinthians 6:20 (AMP) “You were actually purchased with a price [by God]; therefore honor and glorify God with your body.” There are moments when we need to remind ourselves of whose we are. The world often tells us that our bodies, our lives, our time, and our choices belong entirely to us. But Scripture gives us a different perspective: we were purchased with a price. That price was not money, success, or anything earthly. It was the precious blood of Jesus Christ. When Jesus gave His life for us, He demonstrated the immeasurable value He placed on us. We are not accidents. We are not worthless. We are not forgotten. We belong to God. Because we have been purchased, Paul tells us to honor and glorify God with our bodies. This means that worship is not limited to singing songs on Sunday. Our worship is expressed through the way we live. What we say matters. What we watch matters. Where we go matters. How we treat others matters. How we care for ourselves matters. What we choose when nobody is watching matters. Every part of our lives can become an offering to God. Today, remember that your life carries a sacred value. You were bought with the greatest price imaginable. Therefore, don't live as though you belong to the world. Live like someone who belongs to Jesus. Before making a decision today, ask yourself: “Does this honor the One who gave everything for me?” You don't have to earn God's love—you already have it. Your response is simply to live in a way that reflects your gratitude for what Christ has done. Prayer Father, thank You for purchasing me at such a great price through Jesus Christ. Help me remember that my life belongs to You. Teach me to honor You with my body, my thoughts, my words, my choices, and my actions. May everything I do bring glory to Your name. But the Kingdom of Christ is eternal. Therefore, do not build your entire life around things that cannot last. Build your life around Christ. Seek His Kingdom. Obey His Word. Live for eternal things. Jesus is King—not only over heaven, but Lord over our hearts. 👑✝️ 3️⃣ WE MUST STAND FOR TRUTH. 📖🔥 Jesus said: «“Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.” — John 18:37» Pilate responded: «“What is truth?” — John 18:38» The world continues to ask that question. But for the believer, truth is not merely an idea. Truth is found in Christ and revealed through God's Word. In a world filled with compromise, confusion and changing opinions, followers of Jesus must remain anchored in truth. Do not compromise your faith because of pressure. Do not deny Christ to gain acceptance. Do not exchange holiness for popularity. Stand for Jesus, even when standing is costly. 🔥 🌿 TODAY'S REFLECTION Jesus knew the Cross was ahead, yet He remained faithful. What about you? Will you remain faithful when obedience becomes difficult? Will you stand for Christ when people disagree with you? Will you choose holiness when temptation is strong? Will you choose truth when compromise seems easier? Jesus stood firm for you. He endured rejection for you. He accepted suffering for you. He walked toward Calvary for you. Therefore, stand firm for Him. Your faith may be tested. Your obedience may cost you something. People may misunderstand you. But remember: You are serving an eternal King. 👑 Do not allow temporary pressure to make you abandon eternal truth. 🙏🏽 PRAYER Heavenly Father, Thank You for Jesus Christ, our King and Saviour. Thank You that He willingly stood firm and went toward the Cross for our salvation. Lord Jesus, give me the grace to remain faithful when my faith is tested. Help me not to compromise Your truth for acceptance, popularity, comfort or worldly gain. Give me courage to stand for righteousness. When I am afraid, strengthen me. Monday, 24th August, 2026 TITLE: "GROW INTO CHRIST: FROM SPIRITUAL INFANCY TO MATURITY" ANCHOR SCRIPTURE(S) Ephesians 4:13–15 (KJV) "Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:" 2 Peter 3:18 (KJV) "But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen." QUOTE TO REFLECT ON "Spiritual maturity is not measured by how long you have been saved, but by how much you have become like Christ." DAY'S REFLECTION Every living thing is expected to grow. A healthy child does not remain a child forever; growth involves increasing in strength, understanding, responsibility, and maturity. The same principle applies to our spiritual lives. Paul says in Ephesians 4:13 that God's purpose is for believers to come "unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ." The word "perfect" here carries the idea of being mature or complete. God's desire is not merely that we become churchgoers, but that we grow into mature followers of Christ. Spiritual maturity involves increasing in our faith, knowledge, character, obedience, and love. We should become more like Jesus in how we think, speak, respond to difficulties, forgive others, and treat people. Verse 14 warns us not to remain spiritual children, who are "tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine." A spiritually immature person can easily be influenced by every new teaching, popular opinion, emotional experience, or persuasive personality. Without a strong foundation in God's Word, it becomes difficult to distinguish truth from error. But verse 15 gives us the way forward: "speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things." Truth without love can become harsh, while love without truth can become compromise. Christian maturity requires both truth and love, with Christ as our standard. Peter reinforces this in 2 Peter 3:18: "Grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ." Grace is God's undeserved favour and enabling power. Growing in grace means becoming increasingly dependent on God's grace and allowing it to transform our lives. Growing in knowledge means continually knowing Christ more deeply through Scripture, prayer, obedience, and experience. Life experience teaches us that physical age does not automatically produce maturity. A person can grow older without becoming wiser. Similarly, years of church attendance do not automatically produce spiritual maturity. Growth requires intentional pursuit. Today, ask yourself: Am I growing? Am I more patient than I used to be? More forgiving? More disciplined? More grounded in God's Word? More loving? More like Christ? Do not be satisfied with yesterday's spiritual growth. Keep learning. Keep obeying. Keep growing. Keep becoming more like Jesus.
