WAIT… THAT’S IN THE BIBLE? — DAY 15 A lighthearted look at some of the wonderfully unexpected things you discover when you actually read your Bible, context still matters! “Am I so short of madmen that you have to bring this fellow here to carry on like this in front of me?” 1 Samuel 21:15 David is running for his life and ends up in Gath. There’s just one problem… THEY RECOGNISE HIM. So David quickly comes up with a survival plan. Disguise himself? Sneak away? Hide somewhere? Nope. HE PRETENDS TO BE COMPLETELY MAD. He scratches marks on the doors. He lets saliva run down his beard. The servants bring him before King Achish, who takes one look at David and basically says: “DO YOU REALLY THINK MY PALACE DOESN’T HAVE ENOUGH CHAOS ALREADY?! WHY ARE YOU BRINGING ME MORE CRAZY?!” In fact, Achish’s actual words are almost as funny: “Am I so short of madmen…?” Basically: “Gentlemen, my crazy department is FULL. We are NOT accepting new applicants.” PALACE VACANCIES Madmen required POSITIONS FILLED. ✅ Context still matters! David wasn’t simply behaving strangely for a laugh. He was frightened for his life and pretended to be insane so Achish wouldn’t regard him as a threat. There’s actually something beautiful underneath this bizarre episode. David looked ridiculous. He was frightened. His circumstances were completely out of control. But God still brought him through. Sometimes deliverance doesn’t look quite like we imagined it would. But still… Somewhere around three thousand years ago, an exasperated king essentially looked at his staff and said: “I HAVE ENOUGH CRAZY AROUND HERE ALREADY!” And honestly… some sentences are timeless.

JAMES DOBSON ON PARENTING (3)" ‘…Bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.’ Ephesians 6:4 NIV WHEN ASKED, ‘How do you suggest parents handle their children’s activities on web sites like Facebook and Twitter?’ Dr. Dobson gave this advice: ‘Parents have to know what technology their kids are using. Sexting is a terrible thing. (‘Sexting’ is the new term for children exposing themselves to one another online, thinking they are safe because they are in the sanctuary of their own home.) Pornography is pervasive, and parents need to keep up with changes in technology and protect their kids. That’s a tough assignment, because kids are ahead of them. Parents often have extremely demanding careers and when they come home they have nothing left to give, so the culture will often take your kids to hell.’ One night a father and his daughter were out on a lake when their small boat was caught in a storm. As he rowed, Dad kept saying to his daughter, ‘Can you see the shore? Can you see the shore?’ After a terrifying hour the little girl pointed over her dad’s shoulder and said, ‘Yes, I see the light. Mum said if we were out after dark she would hang a light in the window.’ When they finally got home a tearful mother hugged her husband and daughter, and thanked God for their safe return. Looking at her, the little girl said, ‘Mum, you never had to worry. We steered by your light!’ Parent, your children are being caught in life’s storms. [17/08, 9:11 pm] Pastor Attah: *MEDITATIONS ON DAILY ⓂANNA* TUESDAY, 18TH AUGUST, 2026. *THIRSTING AFTER GOD* *TEXT:* PSALM 42:1-5. 1As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. 2 My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God? 3 My tears have been my meat day and night, while they continually say unto me, Where is thy God? 4 When I remember these things, I pour out my soul in me: for I had gone with the multitude, I went with them to the house of God, with the voice of joy and praise, with a multitude that kept holyday. 5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance. *Timeless Truth:*_"O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;"_ Psalm 63:1). *INTRODUCTION* When a man ceases to experience thirst, he is as good as dead. The same is true in the spiritual. In fact, one of the first experiences of a converted man is thirst for God and spiritual things. Spiritual thirst is a deep longing for God and His presence. Just as the body cannot survive without water, the soul cannot flourish without God. The psalmist expresses an intense desire for the living God despite the pain, tears, discouragement and difficult circumstances surrounding him. His experience teaches us that genuine faith does not mean the absence of trouble; rather, it means learning to seek God even in the midst of trouble. When everything else fails, God remains the only lasting satisfaction for the thirsty soul. *1. Thirsting After God Like a Hart* a. The psalmist declares, *“As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.”* A thirsty hart desperately seeks water because its survival depends upon it. Many are thirsty for wealth, pleasure, popularity, power and pride of life among others. The thirst makes them pay a heavy price to get what they are looking for. At times they pay the ultimate price. True thirst will always be demonstrated by desperate seeking for how to satisfy and quench the thirst. In the same vein, many commonly seek God's blessings without seeking for the God of the blessings. The psalmist case was different. *"So panteth my soul after thee"*. Who and what you are passionately and desperately seeking for is a reflection of the state of your heart. In the same manner, the believer should have an earnest and persistent longing for God. The psalmist does not merely desire God's gifts; he desires God Himself. b. His greatest hunger is to *“appear before God.”* He was thirsty to become closer to God. Jesus also echoed this when He said, *"seek ye first the kingdom of God and its righteousness"*. Our ultimate purpose for seeking God was to see His glory, be conformed to His image and be always ready for the kingdom of God. Jesus further assured that *"all other things shall be added unto you"*. The psalmist demonstrated his thirst for God when he decided, *"early will I seek thee...to see thy power and thy glory as I have seen thee in the sanctuary"* (Psalm 63:1,2). Our spiritual lives become weak when our desire for God is replaced by the pursuit of worldly pleasures, possessions, recognition or human approval. Genuine revival begins when the soul cries out for God's presence, His Word, His holiness and fellowship with Him. *Question* Is my desire for God as deep and urgent as the thirst of a hart for water? *2. Tearful Afflictions Giving Loss of Hope* a. Incidentally, the psalmist did not prioritize seeking for heavenly blessings above seeking for God just because everything was going well with him. In fact, the psalmist's circumstances have become so painful that his tears have been his food day and night. He was not finding it rosy in life at that time. One would have expected him, as many worshippers do today, to concentrate on seeking God for release from pains and troubles as priority. Worse still, people around him mockingly asked, directly and indirectly, *“Where is thy God?”.* His memories of former worship and joyful fellowship with God's people intensify his present sorrow. Yet that did not distract his affections towards God. b. At times, affliction can attack not only our circumstances, but also our emotions and confidence. Yet the psalmist's tears reveal that God's children may experience seasons of deep discouragement without being abandoned by God. His pain was real, but it did not have the final word. Even when circumstances seem to contradict God's promises, faith must continue to look toward Him. Seeking God and His righteousness, above all else, should not be diminished as a result of our pains, problems, persecutions and poverty among others. Whatever be our situations, the promises of God that *"all other blessings shall be added"* still stand as long as we keep seeking the face and the glory of God to be reflected in our lives above all else. We must have grace to be tougher than our tough challenges. It is our attitude and the content of our prayers in the time of distress and difficulties that reflect the genuineness of our love for God. Jesus Christ, while on the cross and under intense pains, was still consecrated to soulwinning and intercessory prayers for the sinners and the lost. The will of God and the glory of God was His priority. He has given us examples to follow. *Question* Am I consecrated to seek God and His glory as priority when affliction and tears surround me? *3. Trust in Abiding Grace with a Life of Holiness* When passing through tough times, we must maintain trust in God's abundant grace and continue to live the life that God approves. There is no challenge we pass through that God has not allowed and if God allowed it, then He will see us through as children. The act of faith is in mocking those challenges and still continues seeking the glory of God and heavenly readiness. We must learn how to feed our frustrations and fruitlessness with the word of hope and promises given by God. The psalmist speaks directly to his troubled soul: *“Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God.”* He refuses to surrender permanently to despair. Instead, he deliberately redirects his heart toward God. Trusting God's abiding grace means choosing hope when feelings say there is no hope. It also means continuing to live faithfully, before God while waiting for His intervention. A thirsty soul must not only seek God's presence, but also remain committed to a holy life. God's grace sustains us, restores our joy and enables us to praise Him even before our circumstances change. For a child of God, no bad situation is permanent, but temporary and for a moment. *"weeping may endure for the night, but joy cometh in the morning"*. *Question* Am I deliberately trusting God's abiding grace and maintaining a holy life even when my circumstances are discouraging? *Prayer Points* 1.Father, create within me an unquenchable thirst for Your presence and Your Word 🙏. 2.Lord, strengthen me when tears, afflictions and discouragement threaten my faith 🙏. 3.Father, make me tougher than my challenges and keep me on being engaged in Your service 🙏. 4.Lord, visit and help those brethren who are carrying heavy loads and sustain them by Your grace 🙏. *HYMN:* More of Jesus would I know *BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:* JOB 35-38. On a spiritual level, believers find hope in God too, as they hear the voice that resonates through the pages of His Word. In moments of discouragement, Christians serve as a testimony to those who have never met God or heard His voice.* *David exemplifies this in our devotional text as he expresses acute hunger and "thirst for God, the living God". In his hopelessness, he recalled the exhilarating moments he had in God's house and presence. Reminiscences of the voice of joy and praise filled his soul. Awakened by the testimonies of God's faithfulness and the certainty of blessedness that flows from trust in God, he gladly addresses his soul and jerks back from the abyss of despondency.* *Are you troubled about any ugly situation or setback? Cheer up and look up! Here are gems and clues for you as a Christian pilgrim, who could, at times, be discouraged and cast down. Don't stay down. David didn't. He queried and counselled his soul. First is to know that neither discouragement nor despondency is a sign of weakness. Elijah is one biblical character who fits this description. After defeating the prophets of Baal, he received a death threat from Jezebel. His hope was shattered, and despondency set in. He wanted to die! The Lord did not rebuke him for his feelings but sent an angel to provide for his physical needs. In our times of discouragement, suicide is no option; it only leads to a more serious, endless and interminable suffering in hell. The present challenge or problem has not diminished God's love for us. He desires to lead us to a place of a renewed vision of His power!* *The time to exit the discouragement mode is now! Take the verifiable steps that effectively log you out, which include a deep, interminable longing for God. This is what Isaiah calls "waiting upon the Lord". Second, you will do well to consciously recall and delight in God's past acts of mercy, divine interventions, and faithfulness. Finally, you must deliberately seek the remedy of praise to uplift your downcast, crestfallen, and discouraged heart. Beloved, don't give in to despair! Psalm 92:10 (KJV) BIBLE READING: PSALM 75:6-7 6 For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. 7 But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another. MESSAGE: The devil often uses the promise of promotion to lure people into making covenants with him. For example, I have heard of cases where those in authority would ask someone due for a promotion at work to enter into an evil covenant by joining a secret cult before the promotion is granted. Beloved, if you ever find yourself in such an ordeal, I urge you never to enter into such covenants. Today’s Bible reading tells us that promotion comes from God. When He says yes, nobody can say no. When God decides to promote you, it doesn’t matter what anybody may try because you will reach the position that He intends. He controls the heart of kings; therefore, if anyone in authority threatens you, saying, “You will not be promoted unless you join us,” take your stand as a child of God, and never give in. Just hold on to God, and in the end, you will emerge victorious. Sometime ago, one of my spiritual sons came to me and said, “Daddy, I am tired of being in one spot for so long; I want to move forward. I have an interview tomorrow, please pray for me.” I replied, “Let us pray,” and he said, “No! Just speak a word.” Then I told him that the interview would be successful. He went for the interview and came back beaming with joy. He said, “Daddy, I prepared hard for the interview, but they only asked me three questions: What is your name? Which post did you apply for? When do you want to start?” | congratulated him, and he said, “Daddy, please speak another word.” I obliged and responded, “Your promotion will be rapid.” The next day, He came back dancing for joy. He said, “When I resumed this morning, I was asked to go to the boardroom. The people who interviewed me the previous day were seated there, and they said, ‘Our Managing Director resigned yesterday. Are you ready to take on the post?’ I replied, “Congratulations, that’s a rapid promotion.” He told me to speak another word, and I said that God would complete the good work He had started in him. The next day, he came back to me almost speechless as his salary had been doubled! TODAY'S KINGDOM INSIGHTS: SERMON TOPIC: 3 PLACES IN YOUR HOME THAT NEED PRAYER Theme: When You Pray Over Your House, You Build a Spiritual Wall Around Your Family Your home is more than a building. It is a place where destinies are formed, children are raised, marriages are strengthened, decisions are made, and spiritual battles are sometimes fought. You can lock your doors physically and still leave your home spiritually exposed. That is why prayer must not only happen in the church. Your home must become an altar. Joshua declared: «“As for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” — Joshua 24:15» Joshua did not say, “As for me, I will serve the Lord.” He said, “Me and my house.” There are places in your house that should not only be cleaned, decorated, or furnished—they should be covered in prayer. Today, we are looking at three places in your home that need prayer. 1. YOUR BEDROOM — PRAY OVER YOUR REST, MARRIAGE AND PRIVATE LIFE The bedroom is a place of rest, intimacy, vulnerability, and sometimes deep emotional battles. It is where you sleep after the activities of the day. It is also where many people experience anxiety, fear, disturbing thoughts, marital tensions, and spiritual heaviness. Bible Verse «“I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.” — Psalm 4:8» Notice the connection: Sleep + peace + God's protection. Before you sleep, don't only check your phone. Check your spiritual atmosphere. Pray over your bed. Pray for peaceful sleep. Pray over your marriage. Pray against fear and anxiety. Pray for your thoughts. Pray that your home will be a place of peace. For Married Couples The bedroom should not become a battlefield of bitterness. Husbands and wives should learn to pray together. A marriage that prays together is inviting God into its battles. Deep Spiritual Insight The enemy wants to disturb your peace because he knows that a tired, fearful and confused person is easier to discourage. But God gives His beloved sleep. «“He giveth his beloved sleep.” — Psalm 127:2» Prayer “Father, let Your peace fill this bedroom. Let everyone who sleeps here experience divine rest. Protect our minds, our marriage, our bodies and our dreams. Let every atmosphere of fear, confusion and unrest disappear, in Jesus' name.” 2. YOUR LIVING ROOM — PRAY OVER YOUR FAMILY'S WORDS, RELATIONSHIPS AND DECISIONS The living room is where families gather. People talk there. Arguments can happen there. Children learn there. Guests enter there. Important decisions are sometimes made there. Therefore, your living room needs an altar of prayer. Bible Verse «“But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” — Joshua 24:15» The home should have a spiritual identity. Ask yourself: What atmosphere dominates my home? Is it prayer? Is it love? Is it anger? Is it television? Is it social media? Is it gossip? Is it constant quarrelling? Your home will eventually reflect what you consistently permit. A Biblical Example: Cornelius In Acts 10, we meet Cornelius, a man whose household was connected to God. His home became a place where God's presence and instruction were welcomed. The Bible says: «“He was a devout man, and one that feared God with all his house.” — Acts 10:2» Notice the phrase: “With all his house.” One person's spiritual commitment can influence an entire household. Practical Application Make your living room a place where: - The Bible is read. - Children are taught God's Word. - Family prayer happens. - Thanksgiving is offered. - Forgiveness is practiced. - Christian conversations are encouraged. You don't need a large prayer meeting. Sometimes, ten minutes of sincere family prayer can change the atmosphere of a home. Prayer “Lord, let this home be filled with love, wisdom, unity and Your Word. Let our conversations bring grace. Let our decisions be guided by You. Remove bitterness, hatred and unnecessary conflict from this family, in Jesus' name.” 3. YOUR FRONT DOOR / GATE — PRAY OVER WHAT ENTERS AND LEAVES YOUR HOME Your door represents access. People enter through it. Things enter through it. Influences enter through it. And although we should not become superstitious about physical objects, we should understand the spiritual principle of guarding what we allow into our lives and homes. Bible Verse «“Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” — Proverbs 4:23» Your home needs boundaries. Not everything should enter your home. Not every conversation should enter your home. Not every relationship should enter your home. Not every piece of entertainment should enter your home. Not every influence should have access to your children. Psalm 101:3 David said: «“I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes.”» This is a powerful principle for the modern home. Today, your front door is not the only entrance into your house. Your phone is a door. Your television is a door. The internet is a door. Social media is a door. What are you allowing to enter? Practical Spiritual Watchfulness Pray: “Lord, give us discernment concerning what we allow into this home.” Don't only pray for God to protect your family. Teach your family what to reject. A REAL-LIFE PICTURE Imagine a father who locks his doors every night. He checks the windows. He installs security lights. He even has security personnel around his compound. But inside the house, nobody prays. There is constant hatred between husband and wife. The children consume anything they find online. The television is always on, but the Bible is rarely opened. The family eats together but hardly prays together. The house may be physically secure but spiritually neglected. The answer is not fear. The answer is Christ-centered living and consistent prayer. 5 PRACTICAL ACTION STEPS 1. Establish a family prayer time. It doesn't have to be one hour. Start with 10–15 minutes daily. 2. Pray in every room. Walk through your home occasionally and pray—not because the walls have magical power, but because your family belongs to God. 3. Watch what enters through your screens. Ask: “Is this content helping my family spiritually or poisoning our atmosphere?” 4. Teach your children to pray. Don't make prayer only the responsibility of the pastor. Teach your children to call upon God themselves. 5. Make your home an altar, not merely a residence. A Christian home should have evidence of Christ. Let there be Scripture. Let there be forgiveness. Let there be worship. Let there be prayer. Let there be love. QUESTIONS FOR REFLECTION 1. What atmosphere currently dominates my home? 2. Do we pray together as a family? 3. What are we allowing into our home through our phones and entertainment? 4. Is there unresolved bitterness in my household? 5. If Jesus physically visited my home today, would I be comfortable with everything He would see and hear? 6. Am I building a house or building a godly legacy? POWERFUL PRAYER POINTS 1. Father, let Your presence fill my home and let Your peace rule in every room, in Jesus' name. 2. Every power working against the unity and peace of my household, be defeated in Jesus' name. 3. Lord, protect every member of my family from evil influences and destructive relationships. 4. Father, give our children wisdom and protect them from ungodly influences. 5. Every atmosphere of fear, confusion, hatred and unnecessary conflict in my home, I command it to end, in Jesus' name. 6. Lord, restore every broken relationship in my household. 7. Let my home become a place where Your Word is honoured, Your name is worshipped and Your presence is welcomed. 8. Father, let no member of my household be lost spiritually. Draw us all closer to Christ. 9. Give every parent in this house wisdom to lead this family according to Your Word. 10. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord! CALL TO ACTION Beloved, don't wait until there is a crisis before you pray over your home. Don't wait until your marriage is collapsing. Don't wait until your child has been badly influenced. Don't wait until fear has taken over. Build the altar before the battle comes. Tonight, when you enter your bedroom, pray. When you sit in your living room, pray. When you pass through your door, pray. And remember: Your house may have beautiful furniture, expensive electronics and modern decorations—but the greatest decoration a Christian home can have is the presence of God. Joshua made a decision: «“As for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” — Joshua 24:15» Make that decision today. Let your bedroom become a place of peace. Let your living room become a place of unity. Let your home become a place of prayer. Let your family become a testimony of God's faithfulness. PRAY OVER YOUR HOME. PRAY FOR YOUR FAMILY. Good evening to everyone. Grace and Peace be with you. Today was nothing like I had imagined it would be. Mind you, we did not really have any ‘plans’ for today with the exception of taking the dog to the vet and me helping my brother on the computer. The rest of the day really was not accounted for. HOWEVER … leave it to us to figure out a way to fill out a day without even trying. Started with hubs getting sick last night and I ended up taking the dog to the vet. Missed my turn and had to turn around on a busy highway. On the way home, I was not really in a hurry, just driving and when I pulled up to the house, there was a random car in my driveway… no clue who or why … except it was my brother … right on time. Brain fart 101. Totally forgot he was coming, even though my stepson and I had just discussed it. Get inside to help my brother in a computer/tech assistant nightmare for his new job. 2.5 hours later, we think we figured it out. In the middle of that, we get a notice that hubs needs blood work before his appointment tomorrow…we forgot. No worries, plan to go to the new park on the west side, drop kids off, go to get blood work, pick up lunch, have a picnic in the park, then go home after playing. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. What a funny plan. Dropped kids off, no problem. Get to the lab; they were closed. Then they opened the doors, only to tell us that they were still closed. Stopped and got lunch for the kids, drove to the lab’s second office. Get to that lab only to be told, sorry can’t help you; go to the hospital. By now, hubs is starving … haha … go get a sandwich, then the hospital; he gets labs, and I get a cold sandwich. While at the hospital, get notified that the dog is ready to be picked up … the vet is in the opposite direction of the park, and then meds need to be picked up also; fortunately meds and vet are in the same town. By now it is going on 3 p.m.; no time to go back and play at the park. A completely full day…but wait…I am not done yet; we get home and because it is supposed to rain tomorrow…take advantage of the good day and mow. Finish mowing at 9 pm. All of this because I did not make plans. Haha. But … with all that chaos and nonsense that went along with the chaos, there were plenty of laughs, a few arguments, some severe rolling of the eyes and lots of blessings. Even with the chaos, things got done respectfully; kids got to go to their favorite park and have McDonald's, the dog is now talon-free and clean and we got notified that our appointment was moved up by half an hour. All positives. Just because something does not roll down the hill the way that you think it will or should, does not make it bad or a negative. There were plenty of negative aspects to today, but not one of them overshadowed a millimeter of the positives. Each day we have a choice to make: see the positive or see the negative. If you see the positive, it is a great day; if you see the negative, you have a choice … focus on the negative or look for a positive in or from the negative. If you focus on the negative, you will have a bad day; however, if you look for a positive within the negative or because of the negative, you will have a good day. As you prepare for bed tonight, I urge you to look back on your day and see what kind of day you think you had. Look at each component and how many negatives come to mind first…then how many positives? If you are seeing the negatives over the positives, try realigning your sights so that the positives come to mind first. It makes for a much more peaceful mindset. I will confess that it takes some time and practice, but it can be done. Be blessed and good night. **You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on a stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. – Matthew 5:14-15

To morrow, said he, thou shalt hear him. 23 And on the morrow, when Agrippa was come, and Bernice, with great pomp, and was entered into the place of hearing, with the chief captains, and principal men of the city, at Festus' commandment Paul was brought forth. 24 And Festus said, King Agrippa, and all men which are here present with us, ye see this man, about whom all the multitude of the Jews have dealt with me, both at Jerusalem, and also here, crying that he ought not to live any longer. 25 But when I found that he had committed nothing worthy of death, and that he himself hath appealed to Augustus, I have determined to send him. 26 Of whom I have no certain thing to write unto my lord. Wherefore I have brought him forth before you, and specially before thee, O king Agrippa, that, after examination had, I might have somewhat to write. 27 For it seemeth to me unreasonable to send a prisoner, and not withal to signify the crimes laid against him."

Now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 1:6–7 ɴᴋᴊᴠ For our comfort we are reminded of three definite truths in connection with trials. First, we learn that our trials are only for a “little while.” If the pleasures of the sinner are only for a season, so too the sorrows of the saints are but for a season (cf. Heb. 11:25). Secondly, we are reminded that there is a need for these sorrows, for these trials are for “a little while, if need be.” The Father does not cause His children a needless tear. The “need” is to prove our faith. This does not mean to prove whether we have faith, but rather to make manifest the preciousness of the faith we have. Gold is not put into the fire to prove that it is gold, but to bring out the precious qualities of the metal. So God proves our faith by various trials to bring out the precious qualities of our faith. Faith, counting upon God in the trial, leads to submission to what God allows. Faith in God enables the soul to wait in patience (Jas. 1:3). The soul may have true faith, but when the trial comes these blessed qualities of faith become manifest: submission, patience, steadfastness, confidence, and dependence upon God. Thirdly, we learn that trials have a blessed answer in the coming day of glory. The manifestation of these qualities in the day of trial will lead to praise and honor and glory in the day of Jesus Christ. We are apt to think that a time of deep trial, which may prevent us from taking part in active service for the Lord, is all lost time. 💥💥 TO MEDITATE ON Today, perhaps there is something holding you back. 👉🏽 A fear. 👉🏽 A wound. 👉🏽 A past failure. 👉🏽 The opinion of others. 👉🏽 The fear of disappointing people. 👉🏽 The fear of starting over. 👉🏽 The fear of not being good enough. But God is telling you today: Be strong and courageous.Do not remain forever in the same place simply because you are afraid of what lies ahead. 👉🏽 Get up. Isaiah 43:2 So today, I want to leave you with this word: You do not have to wait for fear to disappear before moving forward. You must learn to move forward with the certainty that God is with you. Courage is not saying, I am not afraid. Courage is saying, I may be afraid, but God is with me, so I will move forward. Get up. Move forward. Stand out.Develop what God has placed within you. And trust the One who called you. 👉🏽 What God plants in you deserves to be cultivated. 👉🏽 What God cultivates in you deserves to be protected. 👉🏽 What God protects in you will eventually bear fruit. 👉🏽 And what God has decided to grow within you will not be stopped by fear. Get up. Take courage. Keep your roots in God and cross over. Your next season requires the courage to leave the previous one behind.
