• Good morning, brethren.
    1. Morning devotion for today.

    THE WORD FOR TODAY
    TUESDAY AUGUST 18, 2O26.
    "DR. JAMES DOBSON ON PARENTING (3)"

    ‘…Bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.’ Ephesians 6:4 NIV

    WHEN ASKED, ‘How do you suggest parents handle their children’s activities on web sites like Facebook and Twitter?’ Dr. Dobson gave this advice: ‘Parents have to know what technology their kids are using. Sexting is a terrible thing. (‘Sexting’ is the new term for children exposing themselves to one another online, thinking they are safe because they are in the sanctuary of their own home.) Pornography is pervasive, and parents need to keep up with changes in technology and protect their kids. That’s a tough assignment, because kids are ahead of them. Parents often have extremely demanding careers and when they come home they have nothing left to give, so the culture will often take your kids to hell.’ One night a father and his daughter were out on a lake when their small boat was caught in a storm. As he rowed, Dad kept saying to his daughter, ‘Can you see the shore? Can you see the shore?’ After a terrifying hour the little girl pointed over her dad’s shoulder and said, ‘Yes, I see the light. Mum said if we were out after dark she would hang a light in the window.’ When they finally got home a tearful mother hugged her husband and daughter, and thanked God for their safe return. Looking at her, the little girl said, ‘Mum, you never had to worry. We steered by your light!’ Parent, your children are being caught in life’s storms. They are rowing in the dark with no sense of direction. Live for God, and give them a light they can steer by!

    *THIRSTING AFTER GOD*

    *TEXT:* PSALM 42:1-5.

    1As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.
    2 My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?
    3 My tears have been my meat day and night, while they continually say unto me, Where is thy God?
    4 When I remember these things, I pour out my soul in me: for I had gone with the multitude, I went with them to the house of God, with the voice of joy and praise, with a multitude that kept holyday.
    5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance.

    *Timeless Truth:*_"O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;"_ Psalm 63:1).

    *INTRODUCTION*

    When a man ceases to experience thirst, he is as good as dead. The same is true in the spiritual. In fact, one of the first experiences of a converted man is thirst for God and spiritual things. Spiritual thirst is a deep longing for God and His presence. Just as the body cannot survive without water, the soul cannot flourish without God. The psalmist expresses an intense desire for the living God despite the pain, tears, discouragement and difficult circumstances surrounding him. His experience teaches us that genuine faith does not mean the absence of trouble; rather, it means learning to seek God even in the midst of trouble. When everything else fails, God remains the only lasting satisfaction for the thirsty soul.

    *1. Thirsting After God Like a Hart*

    a. The psalmist declares, *“As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.”* A thirsty hart desperately seeks water because its survival depends upon it. Many are thirsty for wealth, pleasure, popularity, power and pride of life among others. The thirst makes them pay a heavy price to get what they are looking for. At times they pay the ultimate price. True thirst will always be demonstrated by desperate seeking for how to satisfy and quench the thirst. In the same vein, many commonly seek God's blessings without seeking for the God of the blessings. The psalmist case was different. *"So panteth my soul after thee"*. Who and what you are passionately and desperately seeking for is a reflection of the state of your heart. In the same manner, the believer should have an earnest and persistent longing for God. The psalmist does not merely desire God's gifts; he desires God Himself.
    b. His greatest hunger is to *“appear before God.”* He was thirsty to become closer to God. Jesus also echoed this when He said, *"seek ye first the kingdom of God and its righteousness"*. Our ultimate purpose for seeking God was to see His glory, be conformed to His image and be always ready for the kingdom of God. Jesus further assured that *"all other things shall be added unto you"*. The psalmist demonstrated his thirst for God when he decided, *"early will I seek thee...to see thy power and thy glory as I have seen thee in the sanctuary"* (Psalm 63:1,2). Our spiritual lives become weak when our desire for God is replaced by the pursuit of worldly pleasures, possessions, recognition or human approval. Genuine revival begins when the soul cries out for God's presence, His Word, His holiness and fellowship with Him.

    *Question*

    Is my desire for God as deep and urgent as the thirst of a hart for water?

    *2. Tearful Afflictions Giving Loss of Hope*

    a. Incidentally, the psalmist did not prioritize seeking for heavenly blessings above seeking for God just because everything was going well with him. In fact, the psalmist's circumstances have become so painful that his tears have been his food day and night. He was not finding it rosy in life at that time. One would have expected him, as many worshippers do today, to concentrate on seeking God for release from pains and troubles as priority. Worse still, people around him mockingly asked, directly and indirectly, *“Where is thy God?”.* His memories of former worship and joyful fellowship with God's people intensify his present sorrow. Yet that did not distract his affections towards God.
    b. At times, affliction can attack not only our circumstances, but also our emotions and confidence. Yet the psalmist's tears reveal that God's children may experience seasons of deep discouragement without being abandoned by God. His pain was real, but it did not have the final word. Even when circumstances seem to contradict God's promises, faith must continue to look toward Him. Seeking God and His righteousness, above all else, should not be diminished as a result of our pains, problems, persecutions and poverty among others. Whatever be our situations, the promises of God that *"all other blessings shall be added"* still stand as long as we keep seeking the face and the glory of God to be reflected in our lives above all else. We must have grace to be tougher than our tough challenges. It is our attitude and the content of our prayers in the time of distress and difficulties that reflect the genuineness of our love for God. Jesus Christ, while on the cross and under intense pains, was still consecrated to soulwinning and intercessory prayers for the sinners and the lost. The will of God and the glory of God was His priority. He has given us examples to follow.

    *Question*

    Am I consecrated to seek God and His glory as priority when affliction and tears surround me?

    *3. Trust in Abiding Grace with a Life of Holiness*

    When passing through tough times, we must maintain trust in God's abundant grace and continue to live the life that God approves. There is no challenge we pass through that God has not allowed and if God allowed it, then He will see us through as children. The act of faith is in mocking those challenges and still continues seeking the glory of God and heavenly readiness. We must learn how to feed our frustrations and fruitlessness with the word of hope and promises given by God. The psalmist speaks directly to his troubled soul: *“Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God.”* He refuses to surrender permanently to despair. Instead, he deliberately redirects his heart toward God. Trusting God's abiding grace means choosing hope when feelings say there is no hope. It also means continuing to live faithfully, before God while waiting for His intervention. A thirsty soul must not only seek God's presence, but also remain committed to a holy life. God's grace sustains us, restores our joy and enables us to praise Him even before our circumstances change. For a child of God, no bad situation is permanent, but temporary and for a moment. *"weeping may endure for the night, but joy cometh in the morning"*.

    *Question*

    Am I deliberately trusting God's abiding grace and maintaining a holy life even when my circumstances are discouraging?

    *Prayer Points*

    1.Father, create within me an unquenchable thirst for Your presence and Your Word .
    2.Lord, strengthen me when tears, afflictions and discouragement threaten my faith .
    3.Father, make me tougher than my challenges and keep me on being engaged in Your service .
    4.Lord, visit and help those brethren who are carrying heavy loads and sustain them by Your grace .

    ```KEY VERSE:``` _*"Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance" (PSALM 42:5).*_
    *As German bombs fell on England during _World War II,_ the situation became desperate. Hearts were filled with discouragement and thoughts of defeat. Then Winston Churchill's voice echoed over the radio. It inspired the nation and boosted morale among a people on the verge of giving up. On a spiritual level, believers find hope in God too, as they hear the voice that resonates through the pages of His Word. In moments of discouragement, Christians serve as a testimony to those who have never met God or heard His voice.*
    *David exemplifies this in our devotional text as he expresses acute hunger and "thirst for God, the living God". In his hopelessness, he recalled the exhilarating moments he had in God's house and presence. Reminiscences of the voice of joy and praise filled his soul. Awakened by the testimonies of God's faithfulness and the certainty of blessedness that flows from trust in God, he gladly addresses his soul and jerks back from the abyss of despondency.*
    *Are you troubled about any ugly situation or setback? Cheer up and look up! Here are gems and clues for you as a Christian pilgrim, who could, at times, be discouraged and cast down. Don't stay down. David didn't. He queried and counselled his soul. First is to know that neither discouragement nor despondency is a sign of weakness. Elijah is one biblical character who fits this description. After defeating the prophets of Baal, he received a death threat from Jezebel. His hope was shattered, and despondency set in. He wanted to die! The Lord did not rebuke him for his feelings but sent an angel to provide for his physical needs. In our times of discouragement, suicide is no option; it only leads to a more serious, endless and interminable suffering in hell. The present challenge or problem has not diminished God's love for us. He desires to lead us to a place of a renewed vision of His power!*
    *The time to exit the discouragement mode is now! Take the verifiable steps that effectively log you out, which include a deep, interminable longing for God. This is what Isaiah calls "waiting upon the Lord". Second, you will do well to consciously recall and delight in God's past acts of mercy, divine interventions, and faithfulness. Finally, you must deliberately seek the remedy of praise to uplift your downcast, crestfallen, and discouraged heart. Beloved, don't give in to despair! God will certainly lead you in paths of love, light and joy, where you will find new hope.*
    ``` MEMORY VERSE:``` _*"For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another" (GALATIANS 5:13).*_

    *The Christian liberty is the freedom Christ has purchased for the children of God through His death on the Cross of Calvary. The devil fights this liberty in diverse ways. When young Christians fail to understand their liberty in Christ, the devil keeps reminding them about their past sins to create major stumbling blocks to their prayers.*

    *It is a common strategy of the devil to manipulate them and push them back into their shells. Once you are born again through genuine repentance, you have the liberty to serve God in truth and in Spirit because God does not give us the spirit of fear but He gives us the Spirit of power and of a sound mind.*

    *When God has forgiven you, you are justified by faith and no longer bound to the yoke of sin. However, this liberty is not a guarantee to continue in sins, believing the erroneous doctrine of eternal security. Apostle Paul warns: "For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another" (Galatians 5:13).*

    ```Key Verse:``` _*"Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve" (Matthew 4:10).*_
    Jesus has power and authority over Satan, and He always uses them at the appropriate time. In this situation, Jesus did not hesitate to command Satan to get behind Him. Satan knew that Jesus is over and above him, yet he tempted Christ to bow down in worship to him. Can the master bow to worship his servant? No! Jesus cannot, will not, and did not bow to Satan.
    As a friend of Jesus, you must know who you are in Christ. You are a joint-heir with Christ. What Jesus has is what you have because of the privilege of sonship. Do not throw your costly apparels (Christian experiences) to the dogs. The things of this world as stated in 1 John 2:15-17 will pass away.
    Let the love of God and the things of eternal value be uppermost in your heart. Do not yield to the enticement and allurement that your friends are using to deceive you. The fashions of the world may look attractive, but they will soon pass away. Do not follow them. Do not seek to please the world. Strive to please only God.
    *Jesus has set the example of refusing to bow to Satan in order to show us that we can be victorious. You can do likewise. Become His friend if you are not, follow Him faithfully and consistently, and He will give you the grace to overcome Satan.*
    2. Morning Prayer for today.
    MP.i. Morning Prayer
    Thou wilt keep Moses Ishaku in perfect peace, [whose] mind [is] stayed [on thee]: because he trusteth in thee. ⏤ Isaiah 26:3
    Trust the past to God's mercy, the present to God's love, and the future to God's providence. ⏤ St. Augustine
    Father, days come and go, bringing change and decay, but You remain the same forever. A thousand years in Your sight are like a single day. With You, there is no past or future; all time is present to You. Yet in our small lives, we need daily blessings. The memories of our past sorrows cast shadows on our present, and our fears for the future often cast shadows on our path.
    We are grateful that You see and know everything—past, present, and future—and that we can safely leave it all in Your hands. Help us to live faithfully in this little day that is ours, leaving the past and future with You, without worrying. So, we ask for Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, to guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, enabling us to be true and faithful in all our duties.
    We ask You, O Lord, to give us the strength and wisdom we need for today’s responsibilities and experiences. Let nothing surprise or dishearten us. Hold our hand through every situation. Give us wisdom to answer every question and make every decision in a way that pleases You. Strengthen us to resist temptation, no matter how subtly it approaches. Increase Your love within us so that we may be patient with everyone we meet, compassionate toward those who are sorrowful, cheerful with those who are discouraged, and helpful to those who are weak.
    Send us out to do Your work so that everything we do today is for You. Breathe upon us as we wait here in Your presence and give us Your blessing as our Father. We ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Second, you will do well to consciously recall and delight in God's past acts of mercy, divine interventions, and faithfulness. Finally, you must deliberately seek the remedy of praise to uplift your downcast, crestfallen, and discouraged heart. Beloved, don't give in to despair! God will certainly lead you in paths of love, light and joy, where you will find new hope.* ✍🏽```THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:``` _*God always opens the window of hope for His own in the darkest of times.*_ 📜📜```THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:``` *JOB 35-38*📜📜 Dousing Despondency https://dailymanna.app// *RECOMMENDED GOSPEL HYMNS AND SONGS - GHS 1: ALL YOUR ANXIETY; GHS 3: IMPATIENT HEART, BE STILL; GHS 4: LEAVE IT THERE; GHS 5: NEVER GIVE UP; AND GHS 7: TURN YOUR EYES UPON JESUS* *TXD [THEXDEVOTIONALS] on Twitter* *#DailyManna18thAugust2026* *#GCK* *#WorshipNuggets* *#BibleNuggets* *#LeadershipNuggets* *#RevivalNuggets* *#CrusadeNuggets* https://www.youtube.com/[THEXDEVOTIONALS] [17/08, 9:11 pm] Pastor Attah: ```DEEPER CHRISTIAN LIFE MINISTRY``` _*HIGHER EVERYD🅰️Y: (A DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE FOR YOUTHS)*_ ✍🏽👩🏻‍💼🌻 🍇🙏🏽🛰🚀🔬📚 ```TUESDAY 18TH AUGUST, 2026``` *STAND IN CHRIST'S LIBERTY* 🎚️📓📖🫵🏽🙋🏽‍♂️🙋🏽‍♀️🧎🏽🧎🏽‍♀️🙏🏽🙌🏽 📜📜```TEXT:GALATIANS 5:1-13```📜📜 📖``` MEMORY VERSE:``` _*"For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another" (GALATIANS 5:13).*_ *The Christian liberty is the freedom Christ has purchased for the children of God through His death on the Cross of Calvary. The devil fights this liberty in diverse ways. When young Christians fail to understand their liberty in Christ, the devil keeps reminding them about their past sins to create major stumbling blocks to their prayers.* *It is a common strategy of the devil to manipulate them and push them back into their shells. Once you are born again through genuine repentance, you have the liberty to serve God in truth and in Spirit because God does not give us the spirit of fear but He gives us the Spirit of power and of a sound mind.* *When God has forgiven you, you are justified by faith and no longer bound to the yoke of sin. However, this liberty is not a guarantee to continue in sins, believing the erroneous doctrine of eternal security. Apostle Paul warns: "For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another" (Galatians 5:13).* 💬 ```QUOTE:``` _*You have the liberty.*_ 🏆 ```CHALLENGE:``` _*Don't use the Christian liberty to sin.*_ 🙏🏽🙏🏽 ```PRAYER:``` _*Lord, help me to understand and enjoy my liberty in Christ.*_ Stand In Christ's Liberty https://dailymanna.app// *TXD [THEXDEVOTIONALS] on Twitter* *#HigherEveryday18thAugust2026* *#GCK* *#WorshipNuggets* *#BibleNuggets* *#LeadershipNuggets* *#RevivalNuggets* *#CrusadeNuggets* https://www.youtube.com/[THEXDEVOTIONALS] [17/08, 9:11 pm] Pastor Attah: ```DEEPER CHRISTIAN LIFE MINISTRY``` _*(SINCERE MILK: Children Daily Devotional Guide 2⃣0⃣2⃣6️⃣)*_ 🙇🏼🙇🏼🙇‍♀️🙇‍♀️🙇🏼🙇‍♀️🙇🏼🙇‍♀️🙇🏼‍♂️ ```TUESDAY 18TH AUGUST, 2026``` *THE TEMPTATION OF JESUS - 3* 📓📖🎚️🫵🏽🙋🏽‍♂️🙋🏽‍♀️👿❌🫷🏽🧎🏽🧎🏽‍♀️🙏🏽 📜📜```MATTHEW 4:8-11```📜📜 🕔📚🖋️🚻😁🎼🏆🍉🪴🌈💻 🔑📖 ```Key Verse:``` _*"Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve" (Matthew 4:10).*_ 📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖 Jesus has power and authority over Satan, and He always uses them at the appropriate time. In this situation, Jesus did not hesitate to command Satan to get behind Him. Satan knew that Jesus is over and above him, yet he tempted Christ to bow down in worship to him. Can the master bow to worship his servant? No! Jesus cannot, will not, and did not bow to Satan. As a friend of Jesus, you must know who you are in Christ. You are a joint-heir with Christ. What Jesus has is what you have because of the privilege of sonship. Do not throw your costly apparels (Christian experiences) to the dogs. The things of this world as stated in 1 John 2:15-17 will pass away. Let the love of God and the things of eternal value be uppermost in your heart. Do not yield to the enticement and allurement that your friends are using to deceive you. The fashions of the world may look attractive, but they will soon pass away. Do not follow them. Do not seek to please the world. Strive to please only God. *Jesus has set the example of refusing to bow to Satan in order to show us that we can be victorious. You can do likewise. Become His friend if you are not, follow Him faithfully and consistently, and He will give you the grace to overcome Satan.* 🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥 ```🅿️rayer:``` _*Lord, please help me to obey You only and not yield to pressure to obey, worship or serve Satan.*_ 🙏🏽 ```📖 Further Reading:``` *Luke 4:1-13* The Temptation Of Jesus - 3 https://dailymanna.app// *TXD [THEXDEVOTIONALS] on Twitter* *#SincereMilk18thAugust2026* *#GCK* *#WorshipNuggets* *#BibleNuggets* *#LeadershipNuggets* *#RevivalNuggets* *#CrusadeNuggets* https://www.youtube.com/[THEXDEVOTIONALS]. 2. Morning Prayer for today. MP.i. Morning Prayer Thou wilt keep [him] in perfect peace, [whose] mind [is] stayed [on thee]: because he trusteth in thee. ⏤ Isaiah 26:3 Trust the past to God's mercy, the present to God's love, and the future to God's providence. ⏤ St. Augustine Father, days come and go, bringing change and decay, but You remain the same forever. A thousand years in Your sight are like a single day. With You, there is no past or future; all time is present to You. Yet in our small lives, we need daily blessings. The memories of our past sorrows cast shadows on our present, and our fears for the future often cast shadows on our path. We are grateful that You see and know everything—past, present, and future—and that we can safely leave it all in Your hands. Help us to live faithfully in this little day that is ours, leaving the past and future with You, without worrying. So, we ask for Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, to guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, enabling us to be true and faithful in all our duties. We ask You, O Lord, to give us the strength and wisdom we need for today’s responsibilities and experiences. Let nothing surprise or dishearten us. Hold our hand through every situation. Give us wisdom to answer every question and make every decision in a way that pleases You. Strengthen us to resist temptation, no matter how subtly it approaches. Increase Your love within us so that we may be patient with everyone we meet, compassionate toward those who are sorrowful, cheerful with those who are discouraged, and helpful to those who are weak. Send us out to do Your work so that everything we do today is for You. Breathe upon us as we wait here in Your presence and give us Your blessing as our Father. We ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen. https://www.youdevotion.com/daily-prayer/miller/44/morning #taptapstudio #youdevotion.
  • Good evening, brethren.
    1. Evening devotion for today.
    ED.i. *DAILY WALK WITH CHRIST*
    (COCIN DEVOTIONAL)
    *DATE:*
    MONDAY 17TH AUGUST, 2026.
    *SUB-THEME:*
    YOUTHS: VESSELS OF GOD'S GRACE.
    *TOPIC:*
    OVERCOMING TEMPTATIONS.
    *TEXT:*
    GENESIS 39:11-14.
    11. One day he went into the house to attend to his duties, and none of the household servants was inside.
    12. She caught him by his cloak and said, “Come to bed with me!” But he left his cloak in her hand and ran out of the house.
    13. When she saw that he had left his cloak in her hand and had run out of the house,
    14. she called her household servants. “Look,” she said to them, “this Hebrew has been brought to us to make sport of us! He came in here to sleep with me, but I screamed.
    *TOPIC:*
    OVERCOMING TEMPTATIONS.
    *THE MESSAGE:*
    Temptation is a common test that comes in various forms and from different sources. Joseph faced a powerful and subtle temptation from Potiphar's wife, yet he refused to yield, relying on God's help. Though his resistance was reciprocated with harsh punishment, he remained faithful. Many young people, though called by God, have fallen into temptation and lost their voices and vitality. Today, many innocent young men and ladies have fallen victims of rape, sexual harassment in places of work or sex for good grades. Some church workers are not exempted from this awful sin. Have you harass or have been harassed sexually? Do not give the enemy a foothold. God's grace is available to all who desire victory. You can overcome temptation and live in freedom through His grace and word.
    *REFLECTION:*
    No temptation will pass your ability to resist.
    *PRAYER:*
    Lord, help me to resist and flee temptation. Amen.
    *MEMORY VERSE FOR THE MONTH:*
    2 TIMOTHY 2:21.
    "If a man cleanses himself from the latter, he will be instruments for noble purposes, made holy, useful to the Master, and prepared to do any good work."
    *TODAY'S BIBLE READING PLAN:*
    EZEKIEL 4-6.
    ED.ii. GOD'S COVENANT WITH MAN
    "The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. And the Lord God commanded the man: You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die." - Genesis 2:15-17
    God's covenant or agreement with man was:
    1) God said that man should cultivate the garden;
    2) God said he had to take care of the garden. Adam's position as the ruler of the garden had to be preserved;
    3) God said they could freely eat from all trees except from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. If they ate from it, they would certainly die.
    The consequence of the fall
    But Adam and Eve broke this agreement. They believed the evil one and preferred to follow him, that creature who had disobeyed God, opposed God and was therefore thrown out of heaven. When this sin occurred, everything seemed lost. God made everything so beautiful and appointed Adam as ruler over this. However, when Adam and Eve sinned, Adam lost his position as ruler. They both became slaves to sin.
    God's rescue plan
    However, no one but God knew that He already had an escape route for man so man could regain his previous position. The Lamb of God, He was chosen before the creation of the world (see 1 Peter 1:20). This plan to save mankind was there before the world was created.
    The reason God allowed His Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross was because He wanted to give back to man the position he once had. Now man was able to rule over sin, over the evil one and over this earth. He could walk with God again and come into His presence. The human being is allowed to reign together with God as a Royal child.
    2. Evening Prayer for today.
    EP.i. Evening Prayer
    He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth [shall be thy] shield and buckler. ⏤ Psalm 91:4
    God does not want us to worry about the future. He wants us to trust Him today. ⏤ Corrie ten Boom
    Father, we are like little children in this vast world and cannot take care of ourselves. But we are so grateful that we are Your children and that You are our Father. We trust in Your eternal care. We know that You will never let us fall out of Your love and protection. As night falls again, we come close to You. We hide ourselves in the secret place of Your love and protection.
    We ask You to forgive all the sins we’ve committed against You today. Renew our hearts more deeply, so that we may keep Your commandments and live in harmony with Your will in both our thoughts and actions.
    Tonight, Father, we also remember Your other children around us. Some of them are happy; may they not forget You in their joy. Bless all pure happiness and let it lead to a closer relationship with You. Some of Your children are facing challenges. Some are struggling to find their daily bread. Some have sickness in their homes. Others have loved ones who are not living as they should, who do not love You or walk in Your ways, and their hearts are heavy with concern. Some have lost dear ones and are grieving deeply. For all these neighbors, we pray tonight. Bless them all. Give them the grace they need. Send relief and comfort in the way You know is best. And give us the grace to do our part in helping them in Your name, through Jesus Christ. Amen.
    TITLE: "STRENGTHENED BY GOD'S SPIRIT, NOT BY HUMAN POWER"
    ANCHOR SCRIPTURE(S)
    Ephesians 3:16 (KJV) "That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;"
    Zechariah 4:6 (KJV) "Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts."
    QUOTE TO REFLECT ON
    "What human strength cannot accomplish, God's Spirit can."
    DAY'S REFLECTION
    Every journey has moments when our natural strength feels insufficient. We may have responsibilities to carry, challenges to overcome, or assignments that seem greater than our ability. At such times, God reminds us that we were never meant to depend entirely on ourselves.
    Paul prayed in Ephesians 3:16 that believers would be "strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man." The inner man refers to our spiritual life—our heart, faith, character, and relationship with God. God does not only strengthen us outwardly; He strengthens us from within so that we can remain faithful even when circumstances are difficult.
    To be strengthened means to receive divine ability, courage, endurance, and spiritual stability. Sometimes God changes the situation; at other times, He strengthens us to stand firmly in the situation until His purpose is accomplished.
    Zechariah 4:6 gives us the same principle: "Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit." Human might can represent resources, influence, position, or physical strength, while power can represent human ability and effort. These things have their place, but they are not the ultimate source of spiritual victory.
    God was teaching Zerubbabel that the work before him would be accomplished through dependence on the Holy Spirit. Likewise, some assignments in our lives cannot be completed successfully through human effort alone. We need God's direction, strength, wisdom, and enabling grace.
    Life experience teaches us that determination can take us far, but there are situations where determination alone is not enough. When our strength is exhausted, God's strength remains available. When our resources are limited, God's resources are unlimited.
    Therefore, do not face today's responsibilities saying, "I cannot do this." Instead, say, "Lord, strengthen me by Your Spirit." Depend on Him in prayer, surrender your plans to Him, and allow His Spirit to empower you.
    Your victory does not depend solely on how strong you are. It depends on the God who strengthens you.
    MEDITATION SCRIPTURE(S)
    Isaiah 40:29 (KJV) "He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength."
    Philippians 4:13 (KJV) "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
    LIFE LESSONS (IMPLICATIONS)
    1. God strengthens us from the inside through His Spirit.
    2. Human ability has limits, but God's power has no limits.
    3. Spiritual victory comes through dependence on God, not self-reliance.
    4. Weakness can become an opportunity to experience God's strength.
    5. Prayer and dependence on the Holy Spirit are essential for fulfilling God's purposes.
    EVERYDAY ACTION
    Begin today by surrendering your plans to God and asking His Spirit to strengthen and guide you.
    PRAYER
    Heavenly Father, strengthen me by Your Spirit in my inner man. Help me not to depend on human strength alone, but to trust Your power and guidance in everything I do. In Jesus' name, Amen.
    DECLARATION
    I am strengthened by the Spirit of God. I will not depend on human power alone. The Lord gives me strength, wisdom, courage, and grace to fulfil His purpose for my life. Not by might, nor by power, but by His Spirit. Amen.
  • Mystery of the Living God's Church
    Preface
    In every generation, people have wrestled with the same questions: What is the true Church? Where can it be found? Who belongs to it? These questions are not new, yet they remain as urgent today as they were in the days of the apostles.
    We live in a world filled with countless groups that call themselves “churches.” Each has its own teachings, traditions, and practices. Each claims to represent God. Yet, when we look closely, we see division instead of unity, contradiction instead of harmony. This raises a profound mystery: if there is one God, why are there so many churches?
    This Chapter, Mystery of the Living God’s Church, is written to guide the reader into the heart of that question. It is not a work of human speculation or denominational defense. Rather, it is an exploration of the Scriptures themselves, where God reveals the truth about His Church.
    The Gospel ahead will uncover the Church as the Body of Christ, the blessed Bread of life, and ultimately, as Christ Himself. We will see that the true Church is not a building, an institution, or a human organization, but a living reality founded, owned, and sustained by Jesus Christ.
    Part One:
    What Is the Church of God?
    The Question of Many Peoples
    In every city, town, and village, one cannot help but notice the multitude of groups that call themselves “churches.” Each belongs to a different denomination or religious movement, each with its own teachings, traditions, and ways of worship. Yet, despite their shared claim of serving God, they do not walk together in unity.
    Every group insists on its own truth. Every group defends its own doctrine. And though nearly all of them speak about God, they do not agree with one another. This reality raises deep and troubling questions in the hearts of many:
    - How many churches does God truly have?
    - What exactly is a church?
    - Which one is the true church?
    - Who is the owner and builder of the church?
    - How can we find the true church?
    These are not small questions. They go to the very heart of faith and salvation. To answer them, we must turn not to human traditions or institutions, but to the Word of the Living God.
    The Church as the Body of Christ
    The Scriptures reveal that the Church is not a building, a denomination, or an earthly organization. Instead, it is described as the Body of Christ.
    - Colossians 1:18 — “And He is the head of the body, the church; He is the beginning, the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything He might have the supremacy.”
    - Ephesians 4:4–5 — “There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism.”
    The Church is one body, with Christ as its Head. Believers are united to Him and to one another as members of this living body. This is the first great truth: the Church is not many, but one.
    ---
    The Church as Blessed Bread
    The Scriptures also reveal another mystery: the Church is represented as bread.
    - Matthew 26:26 — “While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, ‘Take and eat; this is my body.’”
    Here, bread symbolizes the Body of Christ. Since the Body is the Church, the bread also represents the Church. Before giving it to His disciples, Jesus blessed the bread—showing that the Church is blessed food for His followers.
    Thus, the Church is not only the Body of Christ but also the spiritual nourishment of His disciples. It is food for the soul, blessed and given by Christ Himself.
    Jesus Christ Is the Church
    The mystery deepens further: Jesus Himself declares that He is the Bread of Life.
    - John 6:35 — “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.”
    - John 6:48 — “I am the bread of life.”
    If the bread is the Body, and the Body is the Church, then the Church is Christ Himself. He is the foundation, the head, the life, and the very substance of the Church. To understand the Church is to understand Christ. To belong to the Church is to belong to Him.
    The Rock and the Builder
    Jesus confirmed this truth when He spoke to Peter:
    - Matthew 16:17–18 — “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven. And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.”
    Notice: Jesus says “my church”—singular, not plural. He is the builder, the owner, and the foundation. His Church is not a man-made institution but a spiritual building established on the Word of God. And it cannot be destroyed by the powers of hell.
    Entering Into Christ (the Church)
    How then does one enter this true Church?
    1. The Key Understanding
    - Jesus Christ is the Church. To enter the Church is to enter the Son of God (1 John 5:20).
    2. The Gift of God
    - John 3:16 — God gave His Son as a gift. A gift is not earned; it is received. Salvation is not by human effort but by grace.
    3. The Truths of Salvation
    - The world did not ask for the Son, yet He came to save.
    - The world was unbelieving, yet salvation requires faith in Him.
    4. Christ the Way
    - John 14:6 — Jesus is the only way to the Father.
    - John 5:24 — Hearing His Word and believing brings eternal life.
    → Hearing the Word → Faith → New Birth → Entry into God’s family.
    5. The Family Picture
    - Just as you did not choose your earthly family, you do not place yourself into God’s family. Christ Himself brings you in (John 10:16).
    6. The Blood of Christ
    - Ephesians 2:13 — We are brought near by His blood. It is His blood that places us into His Church.
    7. The Great Truth
    - Christ is revealed.
    - The Word is heard.
    - Faith is born.
    - By His blood, we are placed in Him.
    Summary of the Mystery
    - The Church is the Body of Christ, with Christ as its Head.
    - The Church is blessed Bread, spiritual food for His disciples.
    - The Church is Christ Himself, the Bread of Life.
    - Jesus is the builder and owner of His one true Church.
    - Entry into the Church is not by human effort but by faith, new birth, and the blood of Christ.
    Therefore, to belong to the Church is to belong to Christ. To understand the Church is to understand Him. To be born again.
    THE CHURCH IS A DWELLING, NOT A PLACE YOU GO
    “Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.” — John 5:24
    • If you read and understand the Gospel, you will see that you do not “go” to church — rather, you dwell in it.
    • The Church is an eternal dwelling place.
    • You do not put yourself into this Church; you are placed into it by God.
    • You are taken out of another church(Kingdom of Darkness-Death), which belongs to Satan, and transferred into the true Church of Christ. (John 5:24)
    This is what Jesus meant when He said you have passed from death into life.
    ───
    Placed Into Eternal Life
    • You are placed into this Church through faith in Jesus Christ (John 3:16).
    • This Church is the true life, and it exists forever.
    • To be in the Church is to be in Christ — a spiritual reality, not a physical location.
    ───
    Do Not Be Mistaken
    • If you say you “go” to church, you misunderstand.
    • The true Church is not a building you visit, but a spiritual dwelling where you abide forever.
    • These are things that happen in the Spirit, not in human structures.
    ───
    Summary
    1. The Church is eternal, not temporal.
    2. You are placed into it by faith, not by human effort.
    3. The Church is the dwelling of eternal life in Christ.
    Mystery of the Living God's Church Preface In every generation, people have wrestled with the same questions: What is the true Church? Where can it be found? Who belongs to it? These questions are not new, yet they remain as urgent today as they were in the days of the apostles. We live in a world filled with countless groups that call themselves “churches.” Each has its own teachings, traditions, and practices. Each claims to represent God. Yet, when we look closely, we see division instead of unity, contradiction instead of harmony. This raises a profound mystery: if there is one God, why are there so many churches? This Chapter, Mystery of the Living God’s Church, is written to guide the reader into the heart of that question. It is not a work of human speculation or denominational defense. Rather, it is an exploration of the Scriptures themselves, where God reveals the truth about His Church. The Gospel ahead will uncover the Church as the Body of Christ, the blessed Bread of life, and ultimately, as Christ Himself. We will see that the true Church is not a building, an institution, or a human organization, but a living reality founded, owned, and sustained by Jesus Christ. Part One: What Is the Church of God? The Question of Many Peoples In every city, town, and village, one cannot help but notice the multitude of groups that call themselves “churches.” Each belongs to a different denomination or religious movement, each with its own teachings, traditions, and ways of worship. Yet, despite their shared claim of serving God, they do not walk together in unity. Every group insists on its own truth. Every group defends its own doctrine. And though nearly all of them speak about God, they do not agree with one another. This reality raises deep and troubling questions in the hearts of many: - How many churches does God truly have? - What exactly is a church? - Which one is the true church? - Who is the owner and builder of the church? - How can we find the true church? These are not small questions. They go to the very heart of faith and salvation. To answer them, we must turn not to human traditions or institutions, but to the Word of the Living God. The Church as the Body of Christ The Scriptures reveal that the Church is not a building, a denomination, or an earthly organization. Instead, it is described as the Body of Christ. - Colossians 1:18 — “And He is the head of the body, the church; He is the beginning, the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything He might have the supremacy.” - Ephesians 4:4–5 — “There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism.” The Church is one body, with Christ as its Head. Believers are united to Him and to one another as members of this living body. This is the first great truth: the Church is not many, but one. --- The Church as Blessed Bread The Scriptures also reveal another mystery: the Church is represented as bread. - Matthew 26:26 — “While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, ‘Take and eat; this is my body.’” Here, bread symbolizes the Body of Christ. Since the Body is the Church, the bread also represents the Church. Before giving it to His disciples, Jesus blessed the bread—showing that the Church is blessed food for His followers. Thus, the Church is not only the Body of Christ but also the spiritual nourishment of His disciples. It is food for the soul, blessed and given by Christ Himself. Jesus Christ Is the Church The mystery deepens further: Jesus Himself declares that He is the Bread of Life. - John 6:35 — “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” - John 6:48 — “I am the bread of life.” If the bread is the Body, and the Body is the Church, then the Church is Christ Himself. He is the foundation, the head, the life, and the very substance of the Church. To understand the Church is to understand Christ. To belong to the Church is to belong to Him. The Rock and the Builder Jesus confirmed this truth when He spoke to Peter: - Matthew 16:17–18 — “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven. And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.” Notice: Jesus says “my church”—singular, not plural.   • SERMON TITLE: "DON'T USE QURAN TO ANSWER QURAN BUT ONLY TRUTH TO ANSWER LIES OF QURAN"
    Key Warning Text: Proverbs 26:4 “Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest you be like him yourself.”
    Theme Text: Amos 3:3 “Do two walk together, unless they have agreed to meet?”
    Truth & Error Cannot Walk Together
    INTRO: JESUS’ METHOD IN THE WILDERNESS
    Matthew 4:4,7,10 - Satan quoted scripture-twisted. Jesus never debated him on his terms.
    He answered 3 times: “IT IS WRITTEN”
    John 1:5 “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”
    We don’t go into darkness to fight it. We shine light.
    ---
    POINT 1: THE WARNING - PROVERBS 26:4 TO TEACHERS
    Proverbs 26:4 “Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest you be like him yourself.”
    What does this mean for teachers today?
    “DON'T USE QURAN TO ANSWER QURAN”
    Don’t fight error with error. Don’t use another book to prove another book.
    The moment a teacher of the Word picks up the enemy’s weapon, they risk “lest you be like him yourself.”
    2 Corinthians 4:2 “we refuse to practice cunning or to tamper with God's word”
    Galatians 5:9 “A little leaven leavens the whole lump.”
    “BUT ONLY TRUTH TO ANSWER LIES OF QURAN”
    What is Truth? John 17:17 “Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth.”
    Ephesians 5:11 “Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them.”
    Ephesians 6:17 “the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.”
    Jesus, Peter, Paul never quoted pagan books to win people. They preached “Christ crucified” 1 Cor 1:23 and “It is written”.
    DIRECT WARNING TO TEACHERS:
    Brother/Sister, if you are mixing the Bible with other books to "win arguments" or "reach Muslims" —
    STOP. James 3:1 “we who teach will be judged with greater strictness.”
    Truth and error cannot walk together Amos 3:3. You will corrupt the Gospel Gal 1:8-9.
    POINT 2: JESUS’ JUDGMENT ON CHURCHES WHO COMPROMISED
    Revelation 2:14-16 To Pergamum: “you have some there who hold the teaching of Balaam... Therefore repent. If not, I will come to you soon and war against them with the sword of my mouth.”
    Balaam’s sin? Compromise and mixing to get God’s people to sin Num 31:16.
    Jesus says He will WAR against teachers who mix.
    Revelation 2:5 To Ephesus: “Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent, and do the works you did at first. If not, I will remove your lampstand.”
    You can lose your light as a church if you don’t abide in truth.
    POINT 3: WE WIN SOULS BY GRACE, NOT BY KNOWLEDGE OR EFFORTS
    This is why many teachers fall into mixing. They think: “If I master their book, I’ll win them.”
    Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing”
    1 Corinthians 2:4-5 “my message was not in plausible words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power”
    The 144,000 Rev 14:4-5 overcame by:
    Blood RED7 + Testimony + Following the Lamb + No lie in their mouth.
    God saves. John 6:44 “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him.”
    Our job: Faithfully preach the Word. The Spirit GREEN7 convicts.
    POINT 4: HOW TO ANSWER LIES - 3 BIBLICAL STEPS
    ANSWER WITH SCRIPTURE ONLY 2 Tim 3:16-17 - “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable”
    Example: Lie - “Jesus didn’t die.” Truth - Isaiah 53:5, 1 Cor 15:3-4
    EXPOSE, DON’T EMBRACE Eph 5:11 - Shine light on the lie. Don’t study it to quote it.
    SPEAK TRUTH IN LOVE Eph 4:15, 2 Tim 2:24-25 - Goal is repentance, not winning.
    CONCLUSION + ALTAR CALL:
    2 Corinthians 4:4 “The god of this world has blinded the minds of them which believe not”
    Only the Gospel can open eyes 2 Cor 4:6.
    3 COMMANDS FOR TEACHERS:
    STOP - Stop using error to fight error. Prov 26:4
    REPENT - If you have compromised. Rev 2:5, 2:16
    ABIDE - “If you abide in my word, you
  • "DON'T MIX GOSPEL WITH QURAN." TRUTH & ERROR CAN'T WALK TOGETHER!
    Sermon Title: "Let the Light Shine: Preaching in Truth, Not in Mixture"
    Text: John 1:5, 2 Corinthians 4:4, 2 Corinthians 6:14, John 17:17
    Beloved, I want to speak to you today about how we carry the Gospel. The screenshots you shared are a burden for truth. The heart of the message is this: The light of Christ is enough. Do not mix it with darkness.
    1. THE BATTLE OF PREACHING: LIGHT VS DARKNESS
    John 1:5 — “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”
    We are in a battle. The person in the message said it well: "I see your battle of preaching with unbelievers."
    But the battle is not won by compromise. It is won by light.
    Jesus is that Light. When we preach, we are not arguing opinions. We are bringing light into dark places.
    And John says the darkness has not overcome it. It cannot. It will not.
    The enemy’s strategy is to blind.
    2 Corinthians 4:4 — “The god of this world has blinded the minds of unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ.”
    Satan is called "the father of lies" in John 8:44. His job is to keep people from seeing Christ.
    So our job as preachers is not to negotiate with darkness. It is to shine brighter.
    2. NO FELLOWSHIP BETWEEN LIGHT AND DARKNESS
    2 Corinthians 6:14 — “Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?”
    The message warns: "avoid to mix gospel with Quran teachings." Why? Because truth and error cannot walk together.
    Truth sets free - John 8:32
    Error confuses - Mixing truth + falsehood creates confusion in yourself and in those who hear you.
    The apostles never mixed the Gospel with other religions to "make it easier." Acts 4:12 — “There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
    God of the Bible is enough. His Word is enough. His Spirit is enough to draw men. We don’t need to add to it. Revelation 22:18 warns us not to add or subtract.
    3. THE HOLY SPIRIT AND THE WORD: OUR ONLY WEAPONS
    The message asks: "Why can't you only let your preaching be guided by Holy Spirit?"
    Because the Spirit and the Word never contradict.
    John 17:17 — “Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth.”
    John 16:13 — “When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth.”
    The Holy Spirit does not lead us to dilute the Gospel. He leads us to preach Christ crucified. 1 Corinthians 2:2 — “For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.”
    The apostles preached in the power of the Spirit, and thousands were saved. They did not need another book. They needed the Name of Jesus.
    4. BE ROOTED, OR THE ENEMY WILL DECEIVE
    The message reminds us of Jesus in the wilderness. Satan quoted scripture too, but twisted it. Matthew 4:1-11
    “Satan is cunning and can use scriptures if you are not steadfast in thy faith.”
    When we add to the Word, we give the enemy ground. Truth + false = false.
    But when we remain rooted in truth, we overcome him just like Jesus did: "It is written..."
    Ephesians 6:17 — “...the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” That is our only offensive weapon.
    APPLICATION: 3 CALLS FOR US TODAY
    Be marked by God: Like Revelation 14:1, let the Father’s Name be on your forehead. Live holy so your preaching has authority.
    Preach the pure Gospel: Use Scripture only. Let the Holy Spirit do the convincing. John 16:8
    Pray for unbelievers: The problem is not that the Bible is weak. The problem is blindness. So we pray 2 Corinthians 4:6 — “For God, who said, ‘Let light shine out of darkness,’ has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.”
    CLOSING PRAYER
    Father, sanctify us in Your truth. Your Word is truth.
    Forgive us for times we tried to help You by adding to Your Word.
    Fill us with the Holy Spirit so we preach with boldness
THE HOLY SPIRIT AND THE WORD: OUR ONLY WEAPONS The message asks: "Why can't you only let your preaching be guided by Holy Spirit?" Because the Spirit and the Word never contradict. John 17:17 — “Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth.” John 16:13 — “When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth.” The Holy Spirit does not lead us to dilute the Gospel. He leads us to preach Christ crucified. 1 Corinthians 2:2 — “For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.” The apostles preached in the power of the Spirit, and thousands were saved. They did not need another book. They needed the Name of Jesus. 4. BE ROOTED, OR THE ENEMY WILL DECEIVE The message reminds us of Jesus in the wilderness. Satan quoted scripture too, but twisted it. Matthew 4:1-11 “Satan is cunning and can use scriptures if you are not steadfast in thy faith.” When we add to the Word, we give the enemy ground. Truth + false = false. But when we remain rooted in truth, we overcome him just like Jesus did: "It is written..." Ephesians 6:17 — “...the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” That is our only offensive weapon. APPLICATION: 3 CALLS FOR US TODAY Be marked by God: Like Revelation 14:1, let the Father’s Name be on your forehead. Live holy so your preaching has authority. Preach the pure Gospel: Use Scripture only. Let the Holy Spirit do the convincing. John 16:8 Pray for unbelievers: The problem is not that the Bible is weak. The problem is blindness. So we pray 2 Corinthians 4:6 — “For God, who said, ‘Let light shine out of darkness,’ has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.” CLOSING PRAYER Father, sanctify us in Your truth. Your Word is truth. Forgive us for times we tried to help You by adding to Your Word. Fill us with the Holy Spirit so we preach with boldness
  • Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.
    1 Thessalonians 5:18 NLT
    When barriers obstruct our path, God provides a way around or the strength to overcome.
    The blood of Christ, Thy spotless Lamb, O God, is all my plea; naught else could for my sin atone; I have no merit of my own, which I can bring to Thee.
    William S. W. Pond
    Heavenly Father, show me how to honor others, especially when that seems difficult.
    For just as the Heavens are higher than the earth, so My ways are higher than your ways and My thoughts higher than your thoughts.
    Isaiah 55:9 NLT
  • “Possible Deaths Of Those Who Refuse The Mark Of The Beast During The Great Tribulation”
    This is not meant to glorify violence.
    It is meant to confront you with the terrifying seriousness of what Scripture describes concerning the Great Tribulation, the beast, the mark, persecution, judgment, and hell.
    There is one important distinction that must be understood.
    The Bible does not say that every person who refuses the mark will necessarily die by the exact methods pictured in this image. These are illustrations of possible forms of persecution and execution.
    But Scripture DOES explicitly teach that the beast will demand worship, that the mark will be connected with allegiance to the beast, that economic restrictions will be imposed, and that those who refuse the beast will face deadly persecution.
    And this is where the subject becomes brutally serious.
    Revelation 13:15 KJV says:
    “And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.”
    Read that again.
    “SHOULD BE KILLED.”
    This is not merely inconvenience.
    This is not being mocked.
    This is not losing followers.
    This is not being cancelled.
    This is not getting fired.
    This is not somebody disagreeing with your religion.
    The prophecy describes a system where refusal to worship the beast can result in death.
    The world can threaten your comfort.
    The world can threaten your career.
    The world can threaten your possessions.
    The world can threaten your freedom.
    But eventually the question becomes much darker:
    WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE WORLD THREATENS YOUR LIFE?
    Will you bow because you are afraid to die?
    Will you compromise because you are afraid to suffer?
    Will you surrender because obedience to evil becomes easier than faithfulness to God?
    That is the kind of pressure Revelation warns about.
    Revelation 13:16 KJV says:
    “And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads”
    Then Revelation 13:17 KJV says:
    “And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.”
    Think about the pressure.
    No mark.
    No ordinary buying.
    No ordinary selling.
    No normal economic participation.
    The pressure will not merely be physical.
    It will be economic.
    Social.
    Political.
    Religious.
    Personal.
    You could be surrounded by people telling you that refusing the mark is foolish.
    You could be told that accepting it is necessary for survival.
    You could be told that everyone else is doing it.
    You could be threatened with poverty.
    You could be threatened with imprisonment.
    You could be threatened with torture.
    You could be threatened with death.
    And eventually the issue becomes allegiance.
    WHO DO YOU WORSHIP?
    WHO DO YOU OBEY?
    WHO WILL YOU REFUSE TO DENY?
    And here comes an extremely important distinction concerning salvation during that prophetic period.
    The present dispensation of grace is not to be confused with the prophetic conditions Scripture describes concerning the beast and his mark.
    The salvation message and prophetic circumstances must be handled according to the passages being discussed.
    In the present age, Scripture plainly teaches salvation by grace through faith, not by works.
    Ephesians 2:8 KJV says:
    “For by grace are ye saved through faith”
    And Ephesians 2:9 KJV says:
    “Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
    That is unmistakable.
    But when Revelation describes the Great Tribulation, the issue surrounding the beast and his mark becomes radically different.
    Revelation does not present the mark as an innocent action that somebody can take while continuing to worship God.
    The mark is connected directly with worship and allegiance to the beast.
    Revelation 14:9 KJV says:
    “If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand”
    Notice the connection.
    WORSHIP.
    THE BEAST.
    THE IMAGE.
    THE MARK.
    ALLEGIANCE.
    Then comes the terrifying warning.
    Revelation 14:10 KJV says:
    “The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God”
    And Revelation 14:11 KJV says:
    “And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night”
    FOR EVER AND EVER.
    NO REST.
    DAY NOR NIGHT.
    This is why the idea of “easy salvation” during the mark of the beast period must be rejected as a careless way of presenting those passages.
    A person cannot simply say:
    “I believe in God, but I will receive the mark of the beast anyway.”
    The Revelation passages do not permit that kind of casual separation between belief and allegiance.
    If someone knowingly worships the beast and receives his mark, Scripture gives an extremely severe warning concerning that person.
    The mark is not presented as a neutral transaction.
    It is connected with worship.
    It is connected with allegiance.
    It is connected with rebellion against God.
    Therefore, in the prophetic context of the Great Tribulation, the Scriptures describe a form of endurance and faithfulness that continues even when obedience to God costs earthly life.
    This is why Revelation 14:12 KJV says:
    “Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.”
    PATIENT ENDURANCE.
    FAITHFULNESS.
    PERSEVERANCE.
    REFUSING THE BEAST.
    REFUSING HIS WORSHIP.
    REFUSING HIS MARK.
    EVEN WHEN THE COST IS DEATH.
    That is brutally different from the idea that somebody can deliberately worship the beast, receive his mark, and simply assume that faith makes the decision irrelevant.
    THE TEXT DOES NOT GIVE THAT COMFORT.
    Revelation 20:4 KJV says:
    “And I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast”
    Why were they beheaded?
    Because they refused.
    Why did they suffer?
    Because they refused.
    Why did they die?
    Because they refused.
    They would rather lose their earthly lives than surrender their allegiance.
    And here is the brutal truth:
    THEIR FAITH WAS NOT A CHEAP WORD.
    THEIR FAITH WAS TESTED UNDER EXTREME PRESSURE.
    THEIR ALLEGIANCE WAS NOT MERELY A SENTENCE THEY SPOKE.
    THEIR PERSEVERANCE WAS DEMONSTRATED BY THEIR REFUSAL TO WORSHIP THE BEAST.
    This is why it is dangerous to take the language of “faith alone” from the present dispensation and carelessly force it into every prophetic passage without considering the specific context of Revelation.
    The present age of grace must be distinguished from the prophetic program concerning Israel, the beast, the mark, and the Great Tribulation.
    During the Great Tribulation, Revelation describes people who must endure persecution and refuse the beast and his mark.
    The issue becomes so severe that Revelation 13:10 KJV says:
    “Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.”
    And Revelation 12:11 KJV says:
    “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony”
    Then comes the brutal statement:
    “And they loved not their lives unto the death.”
    THEY LOVED NOT THEIR LIVES UNTO THE DEATH.
    That means earthly survival was not their highest priority.
    They understood something that modern comfort addicted Christianity desperately needs to understand:
    LIVING IS NOT MORE IMPORTANT THAN BEING FAITHFUL TO GOD.
    A person can preserve his body and lose everything that matters eternally.
    A person can lose his body and remain faithful.
    A person can lose his possessions and keep his testimony.
    A person can lose his freedom and refuse to bow.
    A person can lose his earthly life and refuse the mark.
    But there is something infinitely more terrifying than an execution chamber.
    HELL.
    Hell is worse than the flames pictured in this image.
    Hell is worse than torture.
    Hell is worse than starvation.
    Hell is worse than imprisonment.
    Hell is worse than persecution.
    Hell is worse than earthly death.
    Why?
    Because earthly suffering has an end.
    The judgment of God is another matter entirely.
    Matthew 10:28 KJV says:
    “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul”
    Then Christ says:
    “But rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”
    THERE IT IS.
    HELL.
    The world tells you to fear people.
    Christ tells you to understand the greater reality.
    Human beings can kill the body.
    Human beings can torture the body.
    Human beings can imprison the body.
    Human beings can destroy earthly possessions.
    But God remains the Judge of eternity.
    And this is why Revelation 14 is so terrifying.
    The beast can threaten your body.
    The beast can threaten your livelihood.
    The beast can threaten your freedom.
    The beast can threaten your family.
    The beast can threaten your life.
    BUT THE BEAST DOES NOT HAVE THE FINAL WORD.
    GOD DOES.
    Revelation 14:9 KJV warns:
    “If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand”
    And verse 10 says:
    “The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God”
    That warning is deliberately severe.
    There is no casual language here.
    There is no suggestion that worshipping the beast is harmless.
    There is no suggestion that receiving his mark is spiritually irrelevant.
    There is no suggestion that somebody can deliberately identify himself with the beast and then mock the consequences.
    The warning is terrifying because the rebellion is terrifying.
    HELL IS NOT A JOKE.
    HELL IS NOT A FAIRY TALE.
    HELL IS NOT A RELIGIOUS INSULT.
    HELL IS NOT SOMETHING TO LAUGH ABOUT.
    HELL IS A WARNING.
    And the Bible repeatedly warns about judgment because eternity is too serious for comfortable lies.
    Matthew 24:21 KJV says:
    “For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.”
    Great tribulation.
    Not ordinary trouble.
    Not ordinary persecution.
    Not an ordinary war.
    Great tribulation.
    And Matthew 24:22 KJV says:
    “And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved”
    Think about the severity of those words.
    Christ Himself described that period as unprecedented.
    The suffering will be extraordinary.
    The deception will be extraordinary.
    The persecution will be extraordinary.
    The pressure will be extraordinary.
    And Revelation describes saints standing firm in the middle of it.
    That is why Revelation 13:7 KJV says:
    “And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them”
    MAKE WAR.
    Not debate.
    Not disagreement.
    Not a theological argument.
    WAR.
    And the brutal reality is that some of those saints will be killed.
    Revelation 20:4 KJV says:
    “And I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus”
    They died because they refused to surrender their testimony.
    They died because they refused to worship the beast.
    They died because they refused to identify themselves with the beast.
    They died because they refused the mark.
    And that brings us back to the terrifying issue of works and faith during that prophetic period.
    Do not confuse this with saying that human works can purchase the righteousness of God.
    Works cannot purchase salvation.
    Human effort cannot buy forgiveness.
    Religious performance cannot force God to save somebody.
    But the prophetic passages concerning the beast show that the professed faith of those saints is demonstrated through their endurance and their refusal to worship the beast or receive his mark.
    In other words:
    THEIR FAITH IS NOT BEING PRESENTED AS A CHEAP, EMPTY CLAIM.
    THEIR FAITH IS BEING DEMONSTRATED THROUGH THEIR FAITHFUL ENDURANCE.
    They do not merely say they believe.
    They refuse the beast.
    They refuse his worship.
    They refuse his mark.
    They endure persecution.
    They remain faithful even unto death.
    And Scripture gives them the name:
    SAINTS.
    This is why the Great Tribulation cannot be reduced to the slogan:
    “Believe anything you want and the mark will not matter.”
    The mark matters.
    The worship matters.
    The allegiance matters.
    The endurance matters.
    The refusal matters.
    The consequences matter.
    And hell matters.
    Revelation 14:11 KJV says:
    “And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night”
    FOR EVER AND EVER.
    NO REST.
    DAY NOR NIGHT.
    Do not water that down.
    Do not turn it into entertainment.
    Do not transform Revelation into a horror movie.
    The Bible is warning you.
    And the warning is brutal because the reality is brutal.
    A human execution can end physical suffering.
    HELL DOES NOT FIT INTO THE SAME CATEGORY.
    A bullet can end a life.
    A sword can end a life.
    Fire can destroy a body.
    A rope can end breathing.
    A guillotine can end physical life.
    Torture can destroy the body.
    But none of these earthly horrors should make a person forget the far greater seriousness of eternal judgment.
    The world may say:
    “Take the mark and live.”
    But Scripture warns:
    DO NOT TRADE ETERNAL CONSEQUENCES FOR TEMPORARY SURVIVAL.
    The world may say:
    “Everyone is doing it.”
    DO NOT FOLLOW THE CROWD INTO REBELLION.
    The world may say:
    “You will starve without it.”
    DO NOT SELL YOUR ALLEGIANCE FOR FOOD.
    The world may say:
    “You will die without it.”
    DO NOT ASSUME EARTHLY DEATH IS WORSE THAN HELL.
    The world may threaten your body.
    But God remains the Judge of eternity.
    That is the brutality of the warning.
    And here is another brutal truth:
    PRESSURE DOES NOT CREATE CHARACTER.
    PRESSURE REVEALS CHARACTER.
    When obedience costs nothing, everyone can pretend to be faithful.
    But when obedience costs your livelihood, your reputation, your freedom, or your life, the reality of your allegiance is exposed.
    This is why Revelation presents the saints as enduring.
    They are not being tested by convenience.
    They are being tested by persecution.
    They are being tested by death.
    They are being tested by a system that demands worship.
    And they refuse.
    The devil does not always need to destroy you immediately.
    Sometimes he only needs to teach you to compromise.
    Compromise your convictions.
    Compromise your conscience.
    Compromise your worship.
    Compromise your obedience.
    Compromise once.
    Then compromise again.
    Then eventually you no longer recognize the person who originally said:
    “I will never bow.”
    That is why Daniel 7:25 KJV says:
    “And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High”
    WEAR OUT.
    Pressure.
    Fear.
    Exhaustion.
    Persecution.
    Economic restriction.
    Social hatred.
    Violence.
    Death.
    The objective is surrender.
    But Revelation shows saints who refuse.
    And here is the most brutal part:
    YOU CAN LOSE YOUR EARTHLY LIFE AND STILL REFUSE TO LOSE YOUR TESTIMONY.
    YOU CAN LOSE YOUR HEAD AND STILL KEEP YOUR FAITH.
    YOU CAN LOSE EVERYTHING THIS WORLD VALUES AND STILL REFUSE TO WORSHIP THE BEAST.
    BUT DO NOT PRESUME THAT RECEIVING THE MARK IS A SMALL MATTER.
    Revelation does not present it that way.
    Revelation 14 presents the mark together with worship of the beast and the wrath of God.
    That is why the warning is so severe.
    And that is why anyone teaching a careless “easy salvation” message concerning the mark of the beast is ignoring the terrifying warnings of Revelation.
    Again, this does not mean that human works can purchase salvation from God.
    It means that in the prophetic context, Scripture describes genuine allegiance to God through persevering faithfulness under persecution, including refusing the beast and his mark.
    The saints are not saved because their suffering earns a price from God.
    Their endurance demonstrates where their allegiance stands.
    Their refusal demonstrates that they will not worship the beast.
    Their perseverance demonstrates that they will not surrender.
    Their death demonstrates that earthly survival was not more valuable to them than faithfulness to God.
    And Revelation 12:11 KJV says:
    “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony”
    Then:
    “And they loved not their lives unto the death.”
    THAT IS NOT EASY BELIEF.
    THAT IS FAITH UNDER FIRE.
    THAT IS FAITH UNDER PERSECUTION.
    THAT IS FAITH UNDER THREAT OF DEATH.
    THAT IS FAITH THAT REFUSES TO BOW.
    And if someone says:
    “I have faith, so I can receive the mark anyway”
    Revelation gives no comfort for that attitude.
    Because the mark is not presented as a meaningless stamp.
    It is associated with worship and allegiance to the beast.
    And the warning is terrifying.
    HELL.
    WRATH.
    JUDGMENT.
    TORMENT.
    ETERNITY.
    Revelation 20:14 KJV says:
    “And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.”
    And Revelation 20:15 KJV says:
    “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”
    The lake of fire.
    Hell.
    Judgment.
    Eternity.
    These are not words to use casually.
    These are not words to soften.
    These are not words to hide.
    They are warnings.
    And that is why this image should not merely make you think:
    “How horrible those deaths look.”
    It should make you think:
    “HOW SERIOUS IS ETERNITY?”
    Burned alive?
    Terrifying.
    Beheaded?
    Terrifying.
    Shot?
    Terrifying.
    Beaten to death?
    Terrifying.
    Hanged?
    Terrifying.
    Guillotined?
    Terrifying.
    Starved?
    Terrifying.
    Tortured?
    Terrifying.
    Executed?
    Terrifying.
    But the Bible warns of something even more terrifying than earthly suffering.
    THE WRATH OF GOD.
    THE JUDGMENT OF GOD.
    THE LAKE OF FIRE.
    HELL.
    ETERNITY.
    And the beast?
    The beast is not God.
    The beast is not eternal.
    The beast is not sovereign.
    The beast is not the final authority.
    The beast has an appointed end.
    Revelation 19:20 KJV says:
    “And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet”
    The one who terrorizes the earth will not reign forever.
    The one who demands worship will not reign forever.
    The one who persecutes the saints will not reign forever.
    The one who threatens death will eventually face the Judge.
    EVIL HAS AN EXPIRATION DATE.
    GOD DOES NOT.
    The beast may have authority for a season.
    God has eternal authority.
    The beast may control commerce.
    God controls eternity.
    The beast may threaten death.
    God controls judgment.
    The beast may terrify nations.
    God remains King.
    And when the final judgment comes, nobody will care how powerful the beast once appeared.
    Because earthly power is temporary.
    God is eternal.
    So look at this image again.
    Look at the fire.
    Look at the weapons.
    Look at the chains.
    Look at the suffering.
    Look at the executions.
    Then look beyond them.
    Look beyond the body.
    Look beyond the pain.
    Look beyond the blood.
    Look beyond the grave.
    THINK ABOUT ETERNITY.
    Because the greatest tragedy is not simply dying brutally.
    The greatest tragedy is facing the judgment of God unprepared.
    The greatest tragedy is treating Scripture like entertainment.
    The greatest tragedy is laughing at hell.
    The greatest tragedy is exchanging eternal consequences for temporary comfort.
    And the brutal message of Revelation is this:
    THE BEAST MAY SAY BOW OR DIE.
    BUT GOD SAYS THAT EARTHLY DEATH IS NOT THE FINAL REALITY.
    THE BEAST MAY SAY TAKE THE MARK OR STARVE.
    BUT GOD REMAINS THE JUDGE OF ETERNITY.
    THE BEAST MAY SAY WORSHIP ME OR SUFFER.
    BUT GOD ALONE IS WORTHY OF WORSHIP.
    THE BEAST MAY CONTROL THE MARKET.
    BUT GOD CONTROLS THE FINAL JUDGMENT.
    THE BEAST MAY HAVE ARMIES.
    BUT GOD HAS ALL AUTHORITY.
    THE BEAST MAY THREATEN YOUR BODY.
    BUT GOD REMAINS THE JUDGE OF ETERNITY.
    And that is why the warning must be taken seriously.
    Not tomorrow.
    Not after the tribulation begins.
    Not after the beast appears.
    Not after the mark becomes mandatory.
    The warning is being given beforehand.
    Because once that prophetic crisis arrives, the consequences will be terrifying.
    Do not romanticize the Great Tribulation.
    Do not treat Revelation like a horror movie.
    Do not reduce the mark of the beast to a casual conspiracy discussion.
    Do not assume that receiving the mark is spiritually harmless.
    Do not assume that a profession of faith makes deliberate allegiance to the beast irrelevant.
    Revelation does not present that kind of easy escape.
    Instead, Revelation presents saints who endure.
    Saints who refuse.
    Saints who remain faithful.
    Saints who refuse worship of the beast.
    Saints who refuse his mark.
    Saints who love not their lives unto the death.
    And then Revelation gives the terrifying warning concerning those who worship the beast and receive his mark.
    That is why hell must be spoken about plainly.
    HELL IS REAL.
    JUDGMENT IS REAL.
    THE WRATH OF GOD IS REAL.
    THE LAKE OF FIRE IS REAL.
    ETERNITY IS REAL.
    And when the final judgment comes, nobody will be impressed by earthly status.
    Hell will not care about your money.
    Hell will not care about your followers.
    Hell will not care about your career.
    Hell will not care about your political position.
    Hell will not care about your reputation.
    Hell will not care about how comfortable you were.
    Eternity will expose everything.
    The world can teach you to fear death.
    Scripture teaches you to understand eternity.
    The world can teach you to protect your body at any cost.
    Scripture teaches you that allegiance to God is more important than temporary comfort.
    The world can tell you:
    “Bow and live.”
    But Revelation warns that there are things you must refuse even when refusal costs your life.
    Because earthly life is temporary.
    Earthly possessions are temporary.
    Earthly power is temporary.
    Earthly comfort is temporary.
    Earthly suffering is temporary.
    But eternity is not temporary.
    And hell is not something to laugh away.
    So remember the brutal distinction:
    IN THIS PRESENT AGE, SALVATION IS BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH, NOT BY HUMAN WORKS.
    BUT THE GREAT TRIBULATION PASSAGES CONCERNING THE BEAST DESCRIBE A DIFFERENT PROPHETIC CONTEXT IN WHICH FAITHFULNESS IS DEMONSTRATED THROUGH PERSEVERANCE, REFUSING THE BEAST, REFUSING HIS WORSHIP, AND REFUSING HIS MARK EVEN UNTO DEATH.
    Do not confuse the two contexts.
    Do not use the grace message as an excuse to make Revelation 14 meaningless.
    Do not turn the mark of the beast into something spiritually harmless.
    Do not preach a version of prophecy where somebody can worship the beast, receive his mark, and simply shrug while claiming that faith makes the warning irrelevant.
    Revelation does not speak that way.
    The warning is severe.
    The consequences are severe.
    The judgment is severe.
    HELL IS SEVERE.
    And eternity is too serious for comfortable lies.
    The question during that terrifying prophetic period will not merely be:
    “Do you claim to believe?”
    The question will be:
    “WHO WILL YOU WORSHIP?”
    “WHO WILL YOU OBEY?”
    “WILL YOU RECEIVE THE MARK?”
    “WILL YOU BOW?”
    “WILL YOU ENDURE?”
    “WILL YOU REMAIN FAITHFUL?”
    Because when the world demands:
    BOW OR DIE
    the Scriptures reveal saints who choose:
    I WOULD RATHER DIE THAN WORSHIP THE BEAST.
    And that is the brutal warning.
    EARTHLY DEATH HAS AN END.
    HELL IS WORSE.
    EARTHLY SUFFERING HAS AN END.
    THE JUDGMENT OF GOD IS ETERNAL.
    THE BEAST HAS AN EXPIRATION DATE.
    GOD DOES NOT.
    THE MARK MAY CONTROL YOUR ECONOMIC LIFE.
    BUT IT CANNOT CONTROL THE THRONE OF GOD.
    THE BEAST MAY THREATEN YOUR BODY.
    BUT HE CANNOT BECOME YOUR GOD.
    THE WORLD MAY THREATEN YOUR LIFE.
    BUT ETERNITY STILL BELONGS TO GOD.
    So look at the image.
    Look at the fire.
    Look at the torture.
    Look at the executions.
    And then remember the warning:
    DO NOT EXCHANGE ETERNAL CONSEQUENCES FOR TEMPORARY SURVIVAL.
    DO NOT BOW TO EVIL BECAUSE YOU ARE AFRAID TO DIE.
    DO NOT TREAT THE MARK OF THE BEAST AS A HARMLESS DECISION.
    DO NOT LAUGH AT REVELATION.
    DO NOT LAUGH AT HELL.
    DO NOT LAUGH AT JUDGMENT.
    Because one day the warning will no longer be merely a warning.
    And when eternity arrives, there will be no negotiation.
    No bargaining.
    No bribery.
    No hiding.
    No escape from the Judge.
    HELL IS NOT A PUNCHLINE.
    HELL IS NOT ENTERTAINMENT.
    HELL IS NOT MYTHOLOGY.
    HELL IS A WARNING.
    And Revelation gives that warning because eternity is too important for silence.
    “Possible Deaths Of Those Who Refuse The Mark Of The Beast During The Great Tribulation” This is not meant to glorify violence. It is meant to confront you with the terrifying seriousness of what Scripture describes concerning the Great Tribulation, the beast, the mark, persecution, judgment, and hell. There is one important distinction that must be understood. The Bible does not say that every person who refuses the mark will necessarily die by the exact methods pictured in this image. These are illustrations of possible forms of persecution and execution. But Scripture DOES explicitly teach that the beast will demand worship, that the mark will be connected with allegiance to the beast, that economic restrictions will be imposed, and that those who refuse the beast will face deadly persecution. And this is where the subject becomes brutally serious. Revelation 13:15 KJV says: “And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.” Read that again. “SHOULD BE KILLED.” This is not merely inconvenience. This is not being mocked. This is not losing followers. This is not being cancelled. This is not getting fired. This is not somebody disagreeing with your religion. The prophecy describes a system where refusal to worship the beast can result in death. The world can threaten your comfort. The world can threaten your career. The world can threaten your possessions. The world can threaten your freedom. But eventually the question becomes much darker: WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE WORLD THREATENS YOUR LIFE? Will you bow because you are afraid to die? Will you compromise because you are afraid to suffer? Will you surrender because obedience to evil becomes easier than faithfulness to God? That is the kind of pressure Revelation warns about. Revelation 13:16 KJV says: “And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads” Then Revelation 13:17 KJV says: “And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.” Think about the pressure. No mark. No ordinary buying. No ordinary selling. No normal economic participation. The pressure will not merely be physical. It will be economic. Social. Political. Religious. Personal. You could be surrounded by people telling you that refusing the mark is foolish. You could be told that accepting it is necessary for survival. You could be told that everyone else is doing it. You could be threatened with poverty. You could be threatened with imprisonment. You could be threatened with torture. You could be threatened with death. And eventually the issue becomes allegiance. WHO DO YOU WORSHIP? WHO DO YOU OBEY? WHO WILL YOU REFUSE TO DENY? And here comes an extremely important distinction concerning salvation during that prophetic period. The present dispensation of grace is not to be confused with the prophetic conditions Scripture describes concerning the beast and his mark. The salvation message and prophetic circumstances must be handled according to the passages being discussed. In the present age, Scripture plainly teaches salvation by grace through faith, not by works. Ephesians 2:8 KJV says: “For by grace are ye saved through faith” And Ephesians 2:9 KJV says: “Not of works, lest any man should boast.” That is unmistakable. But when Revelation describes the Great Tribulation, the issue surrounding the beast and his mark becomes radically different. Revelation does not present the mark as an innocent action that somebody can take while continuing to worship God. The mark is connected directly with worship and allegiance to the beast. Revelation 14:9 KJV says: “If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand” Notice the connection. WORSHIP. THE BEAST. THE IMAGE. THE MARK. ALLEGIANCE. Then comes the terrifying warning. Revelation 14:10 KJV says: “The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God” And Revelation 14:11 KJV says: “And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night” FOR EVER AND EVER. NO REST. DAY NOR NIGHT. This is why the idea of “easy salvation” during the mark of the beast period must be rejected as a careless way of presenting those passages. A person cannot simply say: “I believe in God, but I will receive the mark of the beast anyway.” The Revelation passages do not permit that kind of casual separation between belief and allegiance. If someone knowingly worships the beast and receives his mark, Scripture gives an extremely severe warning concerning that person. The mark is not presented as a neutral transaction. It is connected with worship. It is connected with allegiance. It is connected with rebellion against God. Therefore, in the prophetic context of the Great Tribulation, the Scriptures describe a form of endurance and faithfulness that continues even when obedience to God costs earthly life. This is why Revelation 14:12 KJV says: “Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.” PATIENT ENDURANCE. FAITHFULNESS. PERSEVERANCE. REFUSING THE BEAST. REFUSING HIS WORSHIP. REFUSING HIS MARK. EVEN WHEN THE COST IS DEATH. That is brutally different from the idea that somebody can deliberately worship the beast, receive his mark, and simply assume that faith makes the decision irrelevant. THE TEXT DOES NOT GIVE THAT COMFORT. Revelation 20:4 KJV says: “And I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast” Why were they beheaded? Because they refused. Why did they suffer? Because they refused. Why did they die? Because they refused. They would rather lose their earthly lives than surrender their allegiance. And here is the brutal truth: THEIR FAITH WAS NOT A CHEAP WORD. THEIR FAITH WAS TESTED UNDER EXTREME PRESSURE. THEIR ALLEGIANCE WAS NOT MERELY A SENTENCE THEY SPOKE. THEIR PERSEVERANCE WAS DEMONSTRATED BY THEIR REFUSAL TO WORSHIP THE BEAST. This is why it is dangerous to take the language of “faith alone” from the present dispensation and carelessly force it into every prophetic passage without considering the specific context of Revelation. The present age of grace must be distinguished from the prophetic program concerning Israel, the beast, the mark, and the Great Tribulation. During the Great Tribulation, Revelation describes people who must endure persecution and refuse the beast and his mark. The issue becomes so severe that Revelation 13:10 KJV says: “Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.” And Revelation 12:11 KJV says: “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony” Then comes the brutal statement: “And they loved not their lives unto the death.” THEY LOVED NOT THEIR LIVES UNTO THE DEATH. That means earthly survival was not their highest priority. They understood something that modern comfort addicted Christianity desperately needs to understand: LIVING IS NOT MORE IMPORTANT THAN BEING FAITHFUL TO GOD. A person can preserve his body and lose everything that matters eternally. A person can lose his body and remain faithful. A person can lose his possessions and keep his testimony. A person can lose his freedom and refuse to bow. A person can lose his earthly life and refuse the mark. But there is something infinitely more terrifying than an execution chamber. HELL. Hell is worse than the flames pictured in this image. Hell is worse than torture. Hell is worse than starvation. Hell is worse than imprisonment. Hell is worse than persecution. Hell is worse than earthly death. Why? Because earthly suffering has an end. The judgment of God is another matter entirely. Matthew 10:28 KJV says: “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul” Then Christ says: “But rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” THERE IT IS. HELL. The world tells you to fear people. Christ tells you to understand the greater reality. Human beings can kill the body. Human beings can torture the body. Human beings can imprison the body. Human beings can destroy earthly possessions. But God remains the Judge of eternity. And this is why Revelation 14 is so terrifying. The beast can threaten your body. The beast can threaten your livelihood. The beast can threaten your freedom. The beast can threaten your family. The beast can threaten your life. BUT THE BEAST DOES NOT HAVE THE FINAL WORD. GOD DOES. Revelation 14:9 KJV warns: “If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand” And verse 10 says: “The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God” That warning is deliberately severe. There is no casual language here. There is no suggestion that worshipping the beast is harmless. There is no suggestion that receiving his mark is spiritually irrelevant. There is no suggestion that somebody can deliberately identify himself with the beast and then mock the consequences. The warning is terrifying because the rebellion is terrifying. HELL IS NOT A JOKE. HELL IS NOT A FAIRY TALE. HELL IS NOT A RELIGIOUS INSULT. HELL IS NOT SOMETHING TO LAUGH ABOUT. HELL IS A WARNING. And the Bible repeatedly warns about judgment because eternity is too serious for comfortable lies. Matthew 24:21 KJV says: “For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.” Great tribulation. Not ordinary trouble. Not ordinary persecution. Not an ordinary war. Great tribulation. And Matthew 24:22 KJV says: “And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved” Think about the severity of those words. Christ Himself described that period as unprecedented. The suffering will be extraordinary. The deception will be extraordinary. The persecution will be extraordinary. The pressure will be extraordinary. And Revelation describes saints standing firm in the middle of it. That is why Revelation 13:7 KJV says: “And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them” MAKE WAR. Not debate. Not disagreement. Not a theological argument. WAR. And the brutal reality is that some of those saints will be killed. Revelation 20:4 KJV says: “And I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus” They died because they refused to surrender their testimony. They died because they refused to worship the beast. They died because they refused to identify themselves with the beast. They died because they refused the mark. And that brings us back to the terrifying issue of works and faith during that prophetic period. Do not confuse this with saying that human works can purchase the righteousness of God. Works cannot purchase salvation. Human effort cannot buy forgiveness. Religious performance cannot force God to save somebody. But the prophetic passages concerning the beast show that the professed faith of those saints is demonstrated through their endurance and their refusal to worship the beast or receive his mark. In other words: THEIR FAITH IS NOT BEING PRESENTED AS A CHEAP, EMPTY CLAIM. THEIR FAITH IS BEING DEMONSTRATED THROUGH THEIR FAITHFUL ENDURANCE. They do not merely say they believe. They refuse the beast. They refuse his worship. They refuse his mark. They endure persecution. They remain faithful even unto death. And Scripture gives them the name: SAINTS. This is why the Great Tribulation cannot be reduced to the slogan: “Believe anything you want and the mark will not matter.” The mark matters. The worship matters. The allegiance matters. The endurance matters. The refusal matters. The consequences matter. And hell matters. Revelation 14:11 KJV says: “And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night” FOR EVER AND EVER. NO REST. DAY NOR NIGHT. Do not water that down. Do not turn it into entertainment. Do not transform Revelation into a horror movie. The Bible is warning you. And the warning is brutal because the reality is brutal. A human execution can end physical suffering. HELL DOES NOT FIT INTO THE SAME CATEGORY. A bullet can end a life. A sword can end a life. Fire can destroy a body. A rope can end breathing. A guillotine can end physical life. Torture can destroy the body. But none of these earthly horrors should make a person forget the far greater seriousness of eternal judgment. The world may say: “Take the mark and live.” But Scripture warns: DO NOT TRADE ETERNAL CONSEQUENCES FOR TEMPORARY SURVIVAL. The world may say: “Everyone is doing it.” DO NOT FOLLOW THE CROWD INTO REBELLION. The world may say: “You will starve without it.” DO NOT SELL YOUR ALLEGIANCE FOR FOOD. The world may say: “You will die without it.” DO NOT ASSUME EARTHLY DEATH IS WORSE THAN HELL. The world may threaten your body. But God remains the Judge of eternity. That is the brutality of the warning. And here is another brutal truth: PRESSURE DOES NOT CREATE CHARACTER. PRESSURE REVEALS CHARACTER. When obedience costs nothing, everyone can pretend to be faithful. But when obedience costs your livelihood, your reputation, your freedom, or your life, the reality of your allegiance is exposed. This is why Revelation presents the saints as enduring. They are not being tested by convenience. They are being tested by persecution. They are being tested by death. They are being tested by a system that demands worship. And they refuse. The devil does not always need to destroy you immediately. Sometimes he only needs to teach you to compromise. Compromise your convictions. Compromise your conscience. Compromise your worship. Compromise your obedience. Compromise once. Then compromise again. Then eventually you no longer recognize the person who originally said: “I will never bow.” That is why Daniel 7:25 KJV says: “And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High” WEAR OUT. Pressure. Fear. Exhaustion. Persecution. Economic restriction. Social hatred. Violence. Death. The objective is surrender. But Revelation shows saints who refuse. And here is the most brutal part: YOU CAN LOSE YOUR EARTHLY LIFE AND STILL REFUSE TO LOSE YOUR TESTIMONY. YOU CAN LOSE YOUR HEAD AND STILL KEEP YOUR FAITH. YOU CAN LOSE EVERYTHING THIS WORLD VALUES AND STILL REFUSE TO WORSHIP THE BEAST. BUT DO NOT PRESUME THAT RECEIVING THE MARK IS A SMALL MATTER. Revelation does not present it that way. Revelation 14 presents the mark together with worship of the beast and the wrath of God. That is why the warning is so severe. And that is why anyone teaching a careless “easy salvation” message concerning the mark of the beast is ignoring the terrifying warnings of Revelation. Again, this does not mean that human works can purchase salvation from God. It means that in the prophetic context, Scripture describes genuine allegiance to God through persevering faithfulness under persecution, including refusing the beast and his mark. The saints are not saved because their suffering earns a price from God. Their endurance demonstrates where their allegiance stands. Their refusal demonstrates that they will not worship the beast. Their perseverance demonstrates that they will not surrender. Their death demonstrates that earthly survival was not more valuable to them than faithfulness to God. And Revelation 12:11 KJV says: “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony” Then: “And they loved not their lives unto the death.” THAT IS NOT EASY BELIEF. THAT IS FAITH UNDER FIRE. THAT IS FAITH UNDER PERSECUTION. THAT IS FAITH UNDER THREAT OF DEATH. THAT IS FAITH THAT REFUSES TO BOW. And if someone says: “I have faith, so I can receive the mark anyway” Revelation gives no comfort for that attitude. Because the mark is not presented as a meaningless stamp. It is associated with worship and allegiance to the beast. And the warning is terrifying. HELL. WRATH. JUDGMENT. TORMENT. ETERNITY. Revelation 20:14 KJV says: “And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.” And Revelation 20:15 KJV says: “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” The lake of fire. Hell. Judgment. Eternity. These are not words to use casually. These are not words to soften. These are not words to hide. They are warnings. And that is why this image should not merely make you think: “How horrible those deaths look.” It should make you think: “HOW SERIOUS IS ETERNITY?” Burned alive? Terrifying. Beheaded? Terrifying. Shot? Terrifying. Beaten to death? Terrifying. Hanged? Terrifying. Guillotined? Terrifying. Starved? Terrifying. Tortured? Terrifying. Executed? Terrifying. But the Bible warns of something even more terrifying than earthly suffering. THE WRATH OF GOD. THE JUDGMENT OF GOD. THE LAKE OF FIRE. HELL. ETERNITY. And the beast? The beast is not God. The beast is not eternal. The beast is not sovereign. The beast is not the final authority. The beast has an appointed end. Revelation 19:20 KJV says: “And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet” The one who terrorizes the earth will not reign forever. The one who demands worship will not reign forever. The one who persecutes the saints will not reign forever. The one who threatens death will eventually face the Judge. EVIL HAS AN EXPIRATION DATE. GOD DOES NOT. The beast may have authority for a season. God has eternal authority. The beast may control commerce. God controls eternity. The beast may threaten death. God controls judgment. The beast may terrify nations. God remains King. And when the final judgment comes, nobody will care how powerful the beast once appeared. Because earthly power is temporary. God is eternal. So look at this image again. Look at the fire. Look at the weapons. Look at the chains. Look at the suffering. Look at the executions. Then look beyond them. Look beyond the body. Look beyond the pain. Look beyond the blood. Look beyond the grave. THINK ABOUT ETERNITY. Because the greatest tragedy is not simply dying brutally. The greatest tragedy is facing the judgment of God unprepared. The greatest tragedy is treating Scripture like entertainment. The greatest tragedy is laughing at hell. The greatest tragedy is exchanging eternal consequences for temporary comfort. And the brutal message of Revelation is this: THE BEAST MAY SAY BOW OR DIE. BUT GOD SAYS THAT EARTHLY DEATH IS NOT THE FINAL REALITY. THE BEAST MAY SAY TAKE THE MARK OR STARVE. BUT GOD REMAINS THE JUDGE OF ETERNITY. THE BEAST MAY SAY WORSHIP ME OR SUFFER. BUT GOD ALONE IS WORTHY OF WORSHIP. THE BEAST MAY CONTROL THE MARKET. BUT GOD CONTROLS THE FINAL JUDGMENT. THE BEAST MAY HAVE ARMIES. BUT GOD HAS ALL AUTHORITY. THE BEAST MAY THREATEN YOUR BODY. BUT GOD REMAINS THE JUDGE OF ETERNITY. And that is why the warning must be taken seriously. Not tomorrow. Not after the tribulation begins. Not after the beast appears. Not after the mark becomes mandatory. The warning is being given beforehand. Because once that prophetic crisis arrives, the consequences will be terrifying. Do not romanticize the Great Tribulation. Do not treat Revelation like a horror movie. Do not reduce the mark of the beast to a casual conspiracy discussion. Do not assume that receiving the mark is spiritually harmless. Do not assume that a profession of faith makes deliberate allegiance to the beast irrelevant. Revelation does not present that kind of easy escape. Instead, Revelation presents saints who endure. Saints who refuse. Saints who remain faithful. Saints who refuse worship of the beast. Saints who refuse his mark. Saints who love not their lives unto the death. And then Revelation gives the terrifying warning concerning those who worship the beast and receive his mark. That is why hell must be spoken about plainly. HELL IS REAL. JUDGMENT IS REAL. THE WRATH OF GOD IS REAL. THE LAKE OF FIRE IS REAL. ETERNITY IS REAL. And when the final judgment comes, nobody will be impressed by earthly status. Hell will not care about your money. Hell will not care about your followers. Hell will not care about your career. Hell will not care about your political position. Hell will not care about your reputation. Hell will not care about how comfortable you were. Eternity will expose everything. The world can teach you to fear death. Scripture teaches you to understand eternity. The world can teach you to protect your body at any cost. Scripture teaches you that allegiance to God is more important than temporary comfort. The world can tell you: “Bow and live.” But Revelation warns that there are things you must refuse even when refusal costs your life. Because earthly life is temporary. Earthly possessions are temporary. Earthly power is temporary. Earthly comfort is temporary. Earthly suffering is temporary. But eternity is not temporary. And hell is not something to laugh away. So remember the brutal distinction: IN THIS PRESENT AGE, SALVATION IS BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH, NOT BY HUMAN WORKS. BUT THE GREAT TRIBULATION PASSAGES CONCERNING THE BEAST DESCRIBE A DIFFERENT PROPHETIC CONTEXT IN WHICH FAITHFULNESS IS DEMONSTRATED THROUGH PERSEVERANCE, REFUSING THE BEAST, REFUSING HIS WORSHIP, AND REFUSING HIS MARK EVEN UNTO DEATH. Do not confuse the two contexts. Do not use the grace message as an excuse to make Revelation 14 meaningless. Do not turn the mark of the beast into something spiritually harmless. Do not preach a version of prophecy where somebody can worship the beast, receive his mark, and simply shrug while claiming that faith makes the warning irrelevant. Revelation does not speak that way. The warning is severe. The consequences are severe. The judgment is severe. HELL IS SEVERE. And eternity is too serious for comfortable lies. The question during that terrifying prophetic period will not merely be: “Do you claim to believe?” The question will be: “WHO WILL YOU WORSHIP?” “WHO WILL YOU OBEY?” “WILL YOU RECEIVE THE MARK?” “WILL YOU BOW?” “WILL YOU ENDURE?” “WILL YOU REMAIN FAITHFUL?” Because when the world demands: BOW OR DIE the Scriptures reveal saints who choose: I WOULD RATHER DIE THAN WORSHIP THE BEAST. And that is the brutal warning. EARTHLY DEATH HAS AN END. HELL IS WORSE. EARTHLY SUFFERING HAS AN END. THE JUDGMENT OF GOD IS ETERNAL. THE BEAST HAS AN EXPIRATION DATE. GOD DOES NOT. THE MARK MAY CONTROL YOUR ECONOMIC LIFE. BUT IT CANNOT CONTROL THE THRONE OF GOD. THE BEAST MAY THREATEN YOUR BODY. BUT HE CANNOT BECOME YOUR GOD. THE WORLD MAY THREATEN YOUR LIFE. BUT ETERNITY STILL BELONGS TO GOD. So look at the image. Look at the fire. Look at the torture. Look at the executions. And then remember the warning: DO NOT EXCHANGE ETERNAL CONSEQUENCES FOR TEMPORARY SURVIVAL. DO NOT BOW TO EVIL BECAUSE YOU ARE AFRAID TO DIE. DO NOT TREAT THE MARK OF THE BEAST AS A HARMLESS DECISION. DO NOT LAUGH AT REVELATION. DO NOT LAUGH AT HELL. DO NOT LAUGH AT JUDGMENT. Because one day the warning will no longer be merely a warning. And when eternity arrives, there will be no negotiation. No bargaining. No bribery. No hiding. No escape from the Judge. HELL IS NOT A PUNCHLINE. HELL IS NOT ENTERTAINMENT. HELL IS NOT MYTHOLOGY. HELL IS A WARNING. And Revelation gives that warning because eternity is too important for silence.
