• Good morning, brethren.

    1. Morning devotion for today.

    MD.i. MORNING TEA
    THE WORD FOR TODAY.
    SATURDAY OCTOBER 10, 2O26.
    "JOB'S CREED (2)"

    ‘…This I know…I shall see God.’ Job 19:26 NKJV

    JOB ENDS his creed by saying, ‘After my skin is destroyed, this I know, that in my flesh I shall see God.’ When Christ returns, your body which sleeps in the grave will be replaced with a glorious Christ-like body. And then the promise of God’s Word will be fulfilled: ‘Your dead shall live; together with my dead body they shall arise. Awake and sing, you who dwell in dust…’ (Isaiah 26:19 NKJV). Of all the religions on earth, Christianity is the only one that guarantees the resurrection of your body. And that’s because Christ, our leader, was the only one capable of promising to rise from the dead bodily, and keeping that promise. Rejoice, when they lay you in your grave it will not be the last of you. Paul writes: ‘…I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed—in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality…then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: ‘Death is swallowed up in victory’’’ (1 Corinthians 15:51-54 NKJV). In that day faith will give way to sight. When a little boy’s kite flew so high it went out of sight, a man standing nearby asked him, ‘How do you know it’s still up there, son?’ Tightening his grip on the string, he replied, ‘Because I feel the tug!’ Do you feel something tugging you heavenward?

    *ONLY THE BEST* 🫵🏽🏽‍🏽‍🏽🪎🏽🏽‍🏽🏽

    ```TEXT:NUMBERS 18:20-32```
    ```KEY VERSE:``` _*"Out of all your gifts ye shall offer every heave offering of the LORD, of all the best thereof, even the hallowed part thereof out of it" (NUMBERS 18:29).*_

    *A story is told of a thirteen-year-old girl who listened intently to her pastor's sermon about God's love in giving the best gift of His Son to die for everyone. He spoke about the love of Jesus who willingly offered His life on the Cross for our sins. The girl's heart was deeply touched by what she heard. She had no money, so it seemed as though she had nothing to give to the Lord. Then, she thought of a gift that would please God very much. When the usher passed the offering plate, she whispered to him, "Please lower the offering plate." He lowered it. She kept requesting the plate to be lowered until it reached the floor. Then, she stepped into the offering plate and stood in it. She was giving the Lord the very best gift she could ever afford. She was giving herself to the Lord!*

    *Like the Levites in today's text, believers are to give their best as hallowed gifts to the Lord. As a song writer, Howard Benjamin Grose captured it in a hymn:*

    _*"Give of your best to the Master;*_
    _*Give of the strength of your youth;*_
    _*Throw your soul's fresh, glowing ardour;*_
    _*Into the battle for truth."*_

    *Believers are to offer their best unto the Lord. Jesus proved His love by giving us the best - His life.*

    *We must give Him our all - heart, life, time, talents and treasures. This can be done through total obedience to His words; we must preach the gospel, share His love, and be devoted and consecrated, teach, model and mentor the old and young until Christ is formed in them. Then, you will experience more of His transforming and satisfying love.*

    *As recipients of God's covenant grace and mercies, there should be no limit to what we render to our God. We must give our all, our very best and lay them on the altar unconditionally. Giving to Him must be sacrificial, wholesome, exciting and free. We must see it as a privilege reserved for those who truly appreciate the uncommon gesture of God in giving up His only begotten Son that we may be partakers of all things.*

    ```Key Verse:``` _*"Correct thy son, and he shall give thee rest; yea, he shall give delight unto thy soul" (PROVERBS 29:17).*_
    A story was told of a young man whose mother had pampered from his childhood, and would not correct his misbehaviour. The boy grew up to become an armed robber, and was caught and convicted by the court.
    When he was about to be executed for his crime, he requested to whisper a message into his mother's ear. In the process, the condemned criminal grabbed his mother's ear with his teeth and bit it off, claiming that she failed to correct his misdeeds from his childhood days and had led him to die in shame.
    Many children always feel very unhappy when they are corrected by their parents. Some children would pull the shoulders, murmuring and grumbling in rebellion to their parents' correction. Such attitudes are evil in the sight of God.
    Parents are commanded by God to lovingly but firmly correct their children when they are wrong, and train them up in the way of the Lord. It is evil to call for the arrest of your parents because they lovingly and firmly corrected you for your wrong doings.
    In 1 Samuel chapters 3 and 4, there was the story of a father called Eli who was not firm in correcting his two unruly and sinful sons. God was very unhappy with them. Therefore, both himself and his two sons perished on the same day.
    *Always give thanks to God for giving you such parents who lovingly and firmly correct you when you are wrong, and train you in the way of the Lord. Also, appreciate, love, respect and obey your parents always. This is the sure way to enjoy the blessings of God.*
    SATURDAY, 10TH OCTOBER, 2026.
    *GOD, A FAITHFUL REWARDER*
    *TEXT:* NUMBERS 18:20-32.
    20 And the LORD spake unto Aaron, Thou shalt have no inheritance in their land, neither shalt thou have any part among them: I am thy part and thine inheritance among the children of Israel.
    21 And, behold, I have given the children of Levi all the tenth in Israel for an inheritance, for their service which they serve, even the service of the tabernacle of the congregation.
    22 Neither must the children of Israel henceforth come nigh the tabernacle of the congregation, lest they bear sin, and die.
    23 But the Levites shall do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation, and they shall bear their iniquity: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations, that among the children of Israel they have no inheritance.
    24 But the tithes of the children of Israel, which they offer as an heave offering unto the LORD, I have given to the Levites to inherit: therefore I have said unto them, Among the children of Israel they shall have no inheritance.
    25 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
    26 Thus speak unto the Levites, and say unto them, When ye take of the children of Israel the tithes which I have given you from them for your inheritance, then ye shall offer up an heave offering of it for the LORD, even a tenth part of the tithe.
    27 And this your heave offering shall be reckoned unto you, as though it were the corn of the threshingfloor, and as the fulness of the winepress.
    28 Thus ye also shall offer an heave offering unto the LORD of all your tithes, which ye receive of the children of Israel; and ye shall give thereof the LORD'S heave offering to Aaron the priest.
    29 Out of all your gifts ye shall offer every heave offering of the LORD, of all the best thereof, even the hallowed part thereof out of it.
    30 Therefore thou shalt say unto them, When ye have heaved the best thereof from it, then it shall be counted unto the Levites as the increase of the threshingfloor, and as the increase of the winepress.
    31 And ye shall eat it in every place, ye and your households: for it is your reward for your service in the tabernacle of the congregation.
    32 And ye shall bear no sin by reason of it, when ye have heaved from it the best of it: neither shall ye pollute the holy things of the children of Israel, lest ye die.
    *Timeless Truth:*_"But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him"_ (Hebrews 11:6).
    *INTRODUCTION*
    God is faithful to reward those who serve Him according to His instructions. No good action of any man would go unrewarded and when those things are done for the sake of God, the reward would always be in multiple folds and at times eternal. This shows the nature of God as someone who appreciates little things done by men and as someone who faithfully rewards His servants. The text shows the reward system for temple servants, who we can call workers in the Christian setting. Our service to God is never in vain when rendered with a sincere heart.
    *1. Believers' Reward for Sustenance*
    a. Aaron and his seed, including the Levites, were commanded not to have any landed property in Israel. It is curious that this commandment was given after the rebellion of Dathan, Korah and Abiram for which the ground splitted open and consumed them. The thought of making material gain through priesthood might have been unspoken motivation that moved them to rebel against priestly office and Aaron. God decided to address the tendency towards this ministerial greed. God demanded consecration from His chosen temple servants and that they should not be chasing material wealth like those who are not called to the service of God. Seeking wealth in an ungodly way and seeking for impactful service to God don't mix. There must be a priority and a choice. *"For they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts which drown many unto perdition"* (1Timothy 6:9).
    b. Those consecrated to the service of God will not be forgotten by God. God said of Aaron and the Levites, *"I am thy part and thine inheritance among the children of Israel"*. What does this mean? While other Israelites inherited lands, farms and houses, God was the inheritance of the Levites and Aaron, the Priest . That meant all that God had belonged to them and they could have access to them anytime the need arose. To the New Testament saints, this is the same as being joint heirs with Christ. All the kingdom blessings are at the disposal of the consecrated Christian. *"Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you"* (Matthew 6:33). It is blindness of the mind to think a life consecrated to God is a call to poverty and penury. Serving God is the greatest security any person can have in this life. All forms of earthly distractions should be minimized for the service of God. *"Having food and raiment , let us therewith be content"*.
    *Question*
    Are you trusting God as your ultimate source of provision while faithfully fulfilling the responsibility He has committed to you?
    *2. Basic Remittance for Servants*
    a. All the tithes of the children of Israel were to go to the Levites. The Levites were just a tribe in Israel. While the tithe was 10%, it was even more than 8% (1/12), which was the average revenue of a tribe in Israel. Thus, in reality, they gained more than what they could averagely have gotten if they were not serving God. This tithe was also called a wave or heave offering which were to be waved and surrendered to God in recognition of Him as the source of all blessings. God instructed the Levites to offer a tenth of the tithes they received to Him. The Levites were to pay tithes to God too.
    b. Paying tithes cuts across dispensations. It predated the Law of Moses. Both Abraham and Jacob gave tithes as part of worship (Genesis 14:20, 28:22). The text speaks about tithes during the time of the Law. The prophetic writings also emphasised that dodging tithes is a sin against God and there is a curse attached to it (Malachi 3:10-11). In the New Testament, Jesus was also positive about paying tithes as something that should not be left undone (Matthew 23:23). The New Testament does not put much emphasis on paying tithes not because it is optional, but because God expects more since Jesus gave us all. Those who preach against tithes end up not giving it to God at the end of the day. They end up playing economic smartness with God. Since the Bible commanded that we should give according to the proportion of what we have (1 Corinthians 16:1,2), what percentage do we use better than the 10% which should be the minimum or baseline for believers. Believers are to give abundantly beyond the Old Testament since Jesus gave us His all. The whole lesson is on the principle of giving. Your needs must not give you anxiety to the point of cutting corners with God who desires your love and sincerity. Ministers, Christian workers and all believers must practice faithful stewardship, giving to God willingly and managing His resources honestly since the resources actually belong to God.
    *Question*
    Are you faithfully returning to God what belongs to Him and managing the blessings entrusted to you with integrity?
    *3. Best is Right for the Saviour*
    a. God commanded the Levites to offer the best and holiest portion of what they received. Their offering was not to be made carelessly or with what was left over after satisfying their personal desires. God deserved their best because He was holy and had graciously provided for them. After setting apart the required portion, they could enjoy the remainder as their reward for service. God gave us His very best. The best salvation, the best forgiveness, the best sacrifice for sin ever possible, His best heaven etc. The God who gives His bests also demands our best as love is reciprocal. He expects wholehearted devotion, excellent service, and faithful obedience from His people. Our giving, worship, time, talents and service should reflect our bests and the greatness of the God we serve. We must honour Him with our best, not merely with what costs us nothing, but sacrificial.
    *Question*
    Are you giving God the best of your life, resources, talents and service or only what remains after your personal interests?
    *Prayer Points*
    1.Father, thank you because You are my inheritance. Help me to trust You as my inheritance and be satisfied with You .
    2.Lord, deliver me from selfishness and unbelief and teach me to be a faithful steward of every blessing You entrust to me .
    3.Father, fill my heart with perfect love for You to always honour You with the best of my resources, time, talents and service .
    4.Help all Your children to be cheerful and sacrificial givers .
    *HYMN:* Give Of Your Best To The Master.
    2. Morning Prayer for today.
    MP.i. Morning Prayer
    [It is of] the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. [They are] new every morning: great [is] thy faithfulness. ⏤ Lamentations 3:22-23
    To be a Christian without prayer is no more possible than to be alive without breathing. ⏤ Martin Luther
    As we come to the end of another week, Father, we ask for Your blessing on this last morning. We’ve failed in many ways, and with humility and repentance, we confess our failures. We ask for the grace to make this last day of the week better than any of the others, to do its duties more faithfully, and to live more according to Your pure and holy laws.
    We thank You for all Your mercies. You’ve blessed us abundantly. The things we feared at the start of the week didn’t happen. The clouds we thought would bring darkness and storms either passed us by or brought only gentle rain that made our fields more fertile. The tasks we thought would be too hard for us have been manageable, and we’ve had the strength we needed as they came.
    We thank You for all the blessings of the week, which came to us in so many ways—through Your providence, through our friends, through our work. We’ve had food to eat and clothes to wear. We’ve had health and life’s comforts. You haven’t failed us once!
    This morning, we pray for our neighbors. Some of them are in trouble. Some homes have sickness. May You send Your tender grace and healing to them. Give strength to those who are suffering, so they can endure patiently, and may their suffering bring good to their souls. Remember the homes that have been darkened by sorrow. May those who are mourning catch glimpses of Heaven’s glory through their tears. Bless our neighbors who don’t know You yet, who are still resisting Your love. Lead them to surrender their lives to You. We ask all this in Jesus' precious name. Amen.
No good action of any man would go unrewarded and when those things are done for the sake of God, the reward would always be in multiple folds and at times eternal. This shows the nature of God as someone who appreciates little things done by men and as someone who faithfully rewards His servants. The text shows the reward system for temple servants, who we can call workers in the Christian setting. Our service to God is never in vain when rendered with a sincere heart. *1. Believers' Reward for Sustenance* a. Aaron and his seed, including the Levites, were commanded not to have any landed property in Israel. It is curious that this commandment was given after the rebellion of Dathan, Korah and Abiram for which the ground splitted open and consumed them. The thought of making material gain through priesthood might have been unspoken motivation that moved them to rebel against priestly office and Aaron. God decided to address the tendency towards this ministerial greed. God demanded consecration from His chosen temple servants and that they should not be chasing material wealth like those who are not called to the service of God. Seeking wealth in an ungodly way and seeking for impactful service to God don't mix. There must be a priority and a choice. *"For they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts which drown many unto perdition"* (1Timothy 6:9). b. Those consecrated to the service of God will not be forgotten by God. God said of Aaron and the Levites, *"I am thy part and thine inheritance among the children of Israel"*. What does this mean? While other Israelites inherited lands, farms and houses, God was the inheritance of the Levites and Aaron, the Priest . That meant all that God had belonged to them and they could have access to them anytime the need arose. To the New Testament saints, this is the same as being joint heirs with Christ. All the kingdom blessings are at the disposal of the consecrated Christian. *"Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you"* (Matthew 6:33). It is blindness of the mind to think a life consecrated to God is a call to poverty and penury. Serving God is the greatest security any person can have in this life. All forms of earthly distractions should be minimized for the service of God. *"Having food and raiment , let us therewith be content"*. *Question* Are you trusting God as your ultimate source of provision while faithfully fulfilling the responsibility He has committed to you? *2. Basic Remittance for Servants* a. All the tithes of the children of Israel were to go to the Levites. The Levites were just a tribe in Israel. While the tithe was 10%, it was even more than 8% (1/12), which was the average revenue of a tribe in Israel. Thus, in reality, they gained more than what they could averagely have gotten if they were not serving God. This tithe was also called a wave or heave offering which were to be waved and surrendered to God in recognition of Him as the source of all blessings. God instructed the Levites to offer a tenth of the tithes they received to Him. The Levites were to pay tithes to God too. b. Paying tithes cuts across dispensations. It predated the Law of Moses. Both Abraham and Jacob gave tithes as part of worship (Genesis 14:20, 28:22). The text speaks about tithes during the time of the Law. The prophetic writings also emphasised that dodging tithes is a sin against God and there is a curse attached to it (Malachi 3:10-11). In the New Testament, Jesus was also positive about paying tithes as something that should not be left undone (Matthew 23:23). The New Testament does not put much emphasis on paying tithes not because it is optional, but because God expects more since Jesus gave us all. Those who preach against tithes end up not giving it to God at the end of the day. They end up playing economic smartness with God. Since the Bible commanded that we should give according to the proportion of what we have (1 Corinthians 16:1,2), what percentage do we use better than the 10% which should be the minimum or baseline for believers. Believers are to give abundantly beyond the Old Testament since Jesus gave us His all. The whole lesson is on the principle of giving. Your needs must not give you anxiety to the point of cutting corners with God who desires your love and sincerity. Ministers, Christian workers and all believers must practice faithful stewardship, giving to God willingly and managing His resources honestly since the resources actually belong to God. *Question* Are you faithfully returning to God what belongs to Him and managing the blessings entrusted to you with integrity? *3. Best is Right for the Saviour* a. God commanded the Levites to offer the best and holiest portion of what they received. Their offering was not to be made carelessly or with what was left over after satisfying their personal desires. God deserved their best because He was holy and had graciously provided for them. After setting apart the required portion, they could enjoy the remainder as their reward for service. God gave us His very best. The best salvation, the best forgiveness, the best sacrifice for sin ever possible, His best heaven etc. The God who gives His bests also demands our best as love is reciprocal. He expects wholehearted devotion, excellent service, and faithful obedience from His people. Our giving, worship, time, talents and service should reflect our bests and the greatness of the God we serve. We must honour Him with our best, not merely with what costs us nothing, but sacrificial. *Question* Are you giving God the best of your life, resources, talents and service or only what remains after your personal interests? *Prayer Points* 1.Father, thank you because You are my inheritance. Help me to trust You as my inheritance and be satisfied with You 🙏. 2.Lord, deliver me from selfishness and unbelief and teach me to be a faithful steward of every blessing You entrust to me 🙏. 3.Father, fill my heart with perfect love for You to always honour You with the best of my resources, time, talents and service 🙏. 4.Help all Your children to be cheerful and sacrificial givers 🙏. *HYMN:* Give Of Your Best To The Master. *BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:* LUKE 20-21. 2. Morning Prayer for today. MP.i. Morning Prayer [It is of] the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. [They are] new every morning: great [is] thy faithfulness. ⏤ Lamentations 3:22-23 To be a Christian without prayer is no more possible than to be alive without breathing. ⏤ Martin Luther As we come to the end of another week, Father, we ask for Your blessing on this last morning. We’ve failed in many ways, and with humility and repentance, we confess our failures. We ask for the grace to make this last day of the week better than any of the others, to do its duties more faithfully, and to live more according to Your pure and holy laws. We thank You for all Your mercies. You’ve blessed us abundantly. The things we feared at the start of the week didn’t happen. The clouds we thought would bring darkness and storms either passed us by or brought only gentle rain that made our fields more fertile. The tasks we thought would be too hard for us have been manageable, and we’ve had the strength we needed as they came. We thank You for all the blessings of the week, which came to us in so many ways—through Your providence, through our friends, through our work. We’ve had food to eat and clothes to wear. We’ve had health and life’s comforts. You haven’t failed us once! This morning, we pray for our neighbors. Some of them are in trouble. Some homes have sickness. May You send Your tender grace and healing to them. Give strength to those who are suffering, so they can endure patiently, and may their suffering bring good to their souls. Remember the homes that have been darkened by sorrow. May those who are mourning catch glimpses of Heaven’s glory through their tears. Bless our neighbors who don’t know You yet, who are still resisting Your love. Lead them to surrender their lives to You. We ask all this in Jesus' precious name. Amen. https://www.youdevotion.com/daily-prayer/miller/06/morning #taptapstudio #youdevotion.
  • Faithfulness in Success Means Remembering Who Gave the Victory
    Scripture
    2 Samuel 8:6 (NKJV)
    Then David put garrisons in Syria of Damascus; and the Syrians became David’s servants,
    and brought tribute. So the LORD preserved David wherever he went.
    Success Should Increase Our Gratitude, Not Our Pride
    Second Samuel 8 summarizes a season of tremendous victory and expansion under David's
    leadership. After years of running from Saul, hiding in caves, facing uncertainty, and waiting
    for God's timing, David was now firmly established as king. Israel's enemies were being
    defeated, the kingdom was becoming stronger, and David's influence was expanding.
    The chapter describes victories over the Philistines, Moabites, Syrians, Edomites, and other
    surrounding enemies. But the most important explanation for David's success is repeated in
    the chapter: the Lord preserved David wherever he went.
    David certainly had responsibilities in these victories. He led, planned, fought, organized, and
    made decisions. Yet Scripture does not allow us to conclude that David's success came
    merely because he was talented.
    God was the One preserving him.
    This is extremely important when applied to everyday life because success can sometimes
    become more spiritually dangerous than struggle.
    When life is difficult, we recognize our need for God. We pray about the finances, the
    business, the family, the ministry, the opportunity, and the decisions because we know we
    need His help. But when things begin working, we can slowly start believing that our success
    is primarily the result of our own ability.
    Hard work matters. Good decisions matter. Planning matters. Leadership matters. Experience
    matters. But believers should never forget that every ability, opportunity, relationship,
    resource, and open door ultimately exists under God's providence.
    David also received enormous amounts of silver, gold, and bronze through these victories. Yet
    instead of treating everything as though it existed merely for his personal enjoyment, David
    dedicated these resources to the Lord.
    His victories produced stewardship.
    That gives us another practical principle. When God gives us more, the question should not
    simply be, “What can I buy now?” It should also be, “What responsibility comes with what God
    has entrusted to me?”
    An increase in income creates greater stewardship.
    Greater influence creates greater responsibility.
    Business growth creates opportunities to serve people well.
    Ministry growth creates responsibility to care faithfully for those God brings.
    Leadership creates responsibility to lead with integrity.
    God's blessings should not simply enlarge our lifestyle; they should enlarge our ability to
    serve His purposes.
    The chapter also tells us something important about how David governed. He administered
    judgment and justice to all his people. David's success was not only measured by how many
    battles he won but by how he handled the responsibilities that came afterward.
    That is where success is truly tested.
    Getting the promotion is one thing. Leading well after receiving it is another.
    Growing the business is one thing. Treating employees and customers honestly after it grows
    is another.
    Building a ministry is one thing. Caring faithfully for people as the ministry expands is another.
    Receiving more money is one thing. Managing it wisely is another.
    David's kingdom was becoming stronger, but the chapter emphasizes order, leadership,
    justice, and stewardship alongside military success.
    That gives us a balanced picture of biblical success. Success is not merely accomplishing
    more. It is faithfully handling what God places in our hands while remembering that He is the
    source of everything we have.
    Second Samuel 8 therefore challenges us to look at our own victories differently.
    When something goes well, celebrate it.
    When the prayer is answered, thank God.
    When the opportunity opens, walk through it faithfully.
    When the business grows, steward it responsibly.
    When the ministry expands, serve people well.
    When God gives more, become more generous rather than simply more comfortable.
    And through every success, remember the truth that appears throughout this chapter: the
    Lord preserved David wherever he went.
    David's victories were never meant to make David look independent of God.
    They were another reason for David to recognize how much he needed Him.
    Reflection Questions
    1. When something succeeds in my life, do I naturally give God thanks, or do I primarily
    credit myself?
    2. Am I faithfully managing the money, influence, responsibilities, relationships, and
    opportunities God has already entrusted to me?
    3. If God gives me more, am I prepared to use more of what I have for His purposes and
    for the good of others?
    Prayer
    Heavenly Father, thank You for every opportunity, provision, victory, and blessing You have
    brought into my life. Protect me from becoming prideful when things go well or forgetting how
    much I depend upon You. Help me work hard, lead wisely, and make responsible decisions
    while always remembering that everything I have ultimately comes from Your hand. Teach me
    to steward greater opportunities with greater faithfulness, to become more generous as You
    provide more, and to use whatever influence You give me to serve others well. May every
    success in my life point back to Your goodness and bring glory to Jesus. In Jesus' name,
    Amen.
    DID THE SUN REALLY STAND STILL?
    One of the most dramatic moments recorded in Scripture appears in Joshua 10. As Israel battled the Amorite armies near Gibeon, Joshua prayed for more time to finish the victory. The Bible records something astonishing.
    “Sun, stand still over Gibeon, and moon, over the Valley of Aijalon.”
    Then the text says the sun stopped in the sky and delayed setting for about a full day (Joshua 10:12–13). According to biblical chronology, this event would have occurred around 1400 BC.
    Critics often claim this is impossible because the earth rotates roughly 1,000 miles per hour at the equator. If the earth suddenly stopped spinning, the forces involved would be catastrophic. From this, skeptics conclude the event could not have happened. But that conclusion quietly assumes something science itself cannot measure or rule out: the direct intervention of God.
    Science can describe how the universe normally behaves. It can measure gravity, motion, and planetary rotation. But science cannot place limits on the Creator who established those laws in the first place. The God who made the earth, sun, and stars is not bound by the mechanisms He designed. Joshua 10 does not describe a natural process. It describes a miracle, a unique moment where God intervened in history to accomplish His purpose.
    Interestingly, some ancient traditions from distant cultures tell of unusual solar events around that time. For example, certain Mesoamerican traditions speak of a day when the sun failed to rise as expected. While such accounts are debated and not treated as proof, they show that unusual astronomical events were remembered in ancient traditions around the world.
    The Bible itself already tells us something important about the event. Joshua 10:14 states plainly:
    “There has been no day like it before or since, when the Lord heeded the voice of a man.”
    In other words, this was never meant to be a routine natural occurrence. It was a one-time act of God, recorded as a testimony that the Creator who formed the universe also governs it.
    The question is not whether the laws of physics would allow the sun to stand still. The real question is whether the Lawgiver has the authority and power to act within His creation. Scripture answers that question clearly.
    THE LIFE, DEATH, AND RESURRECTION OF CHRIST
    In Christ’s life of perfect obedience to God’s will, His suffering, death, and resurrection, God provided the only means ofatonement for human sin, so that those who by faith accept this atonement may have eternal life, and the whole creation may better understand the infinite and holy love of the Creator. This perfect atonement vindicates the righteousness of God’s law and the graciousness of His character; for it both condemns our sin and provides for our forgiveness. The death of Christ is substitutionary and expiatory, reconciling and transforming. The bodily resurrection of Christ proclaims God’s triumph over the forces of evil, and for those who accept the atonement assures their final victory over sin and death. It declares the Lordship of Jesus Christ, before whom every knee in heaven and on earth will bow.
  • DON'T COMPROMISE YOUR CONVICTIONS!
    What You Compromise to Keep Today May Cost You What God Has Prepared for Tomorrow!
    SCRIPTURE READING
    Daniel 1:8–16 (KJV)
    KEY SCRIPTURE
    Daniel 1:8 (KJV)
    “But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.”
    Thought Of The Day...
    When Compromise Becomes Comfortable, Conviction Becomes Optional!
    One of the greatest dangers facing believers today is not always persecution, opposition, or even temptation. Sometimes, the greatest danger is COMPROMISE!
    Compromise rarely begins with a major decision to walk away from God. It often begins with small adjustments to what we know is right.
    We start accepting what we once rejected. We become silent about what we once stood firmly against. We begin making excuses for behaviors that God's Word clearly tells us to avoid.
    And before we realize it, we have allowed the culture around us to influence the convictions within us.
    Church, we must understand that everything the world accepts is not something God approves!
    Romans 12:2 (KJV) declares:
    “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind…”
    The world wants us to conform, but God calls us to be transformed!
    1. COMPROMISE BEGINS WHEN WE STOP GUARDING OUR HEARTS!
    Daniel was taken into Babylon, a place filled with foreign customs, false gods, and pressure to conform.
    He was surrounded by opportunities to abandon his convictions, but Daniel made a decision before the pressure came.
    The Bible says:
    “But Daniel purposed in his heart…”
    Daniel did not wait until temptation arrived to decide where he stood.
    He settled the matter in his heart!
    And that is where our victory must begin.
    We cannot wait until we are surrounded by temptation to decide whether we will obey God.
    If we do not establish our convictions before the test, we may surrender them during the test!
    Proverbs 4:23 (KJV) reminds us:
    “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.”
    2. COMPROMISE OFTEN PROMISES COMFORT BUT PRODUCES CONSEQUENCES!
    Sometimes we compromise because we want acceptance.
    We want to fit in. We want to avoid confrontation. We want to keep relationships. We want opportunities, promotions, recognition, or approval.
    But we must ask ourselves:
    What good is gaining the approval of people if it requires disobedience to God?
    Mark 8:36 (KJV) declares:
    “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?”
    Consider Samson.
    Samson was a man blessed with extraordinary strength, yet he repeatedly placed himself in situations that threatened his calling.
    In Judges 16, his relationship with Delilah became part of his downfall.
    Samson's strength was great, but his failure to guard his calling left him vulnerable.
    Never allow temporary pleasure to jeopardize what God has entrusted to you!
    Some things may feel good to the flesh while weakening our spiritual lives.
    Everything that opens a door is not necessarily from God.
    And every opportunity is not worth the price of your obedience.
    3. STANDING FOR GOD MAY COST YOU SOMETHING, BUT COMPROMISING CAN COST YOU MORE!
    Daniel could have justified eating the king's food.
    He could have said:
    "Everybody else is doing it."
    "I'm in Babylon now."
    "God understands my situation."
    "It's just a little compromise."
    But Daniel understood something powerful:
    Just because you are living in Babylon does not mean Babylon has to live in you!
    We live in a world where biblical convictions are often challenged.
    There will be times when standing for righteousness makes us unpopular.
    There will be times when obedience costs us relationships, opportunities, or acceptance.
    But we must never forget:
    It is better to stand with God and be rejected by people than to be accepted by people while walking in disobedience to God!
    Galatians 1:10 (KJV) says:
    “For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.”
    Our calling is not to please everybody.
    Our calling is to remain faithful to the One who saved us!
    4. YOU CAN SHOW LOVE WITHOUT COMPROMISING TRUTH!
    Standing on God's Word does not give us permission to become arrogant, hateful, or judgmental.
    Jesus demonstrated both grace and truth.
    John 1:14 describes Him as:
    “...full of grace and truth.”
    We can love people without approving everything they do.
    We can show compassion without abandoning conviction.
    We can treat others with dignity while remaining faithful to Scripture.
    Biblical love does not require us to surrender biblical truth!
    The goal is not to win arguments but to represent Christ faithfully.
    We must speak the truth in love, remembering that we too depend upon God's mercy and grace.
    5. GOD HONORS FAITHFULNESS, EVEN WHEN THE WORLD PRESSURES US TO COMPROMISE!
    Daniel refused to defile himself, and God granted him favor.
    Daniel 1:9 (KJV) declares:
    “Now God had brought Daniel into favour and tender love with the prince of the eunuchs.”
    Daniel's faithfulness did not mean he would never face opposition. In fact, his convictions would be tested again.
    But Daniel remained committed to God.
    And that is our challenge today.
    Will we remain faithful when obedience becomes uncomfortable?
    Will we stand for righteousness when everyone around us chooses another direction?
    Will we honor God's Word when compromise appears easier?
    Remember: God has not called us to be popular. He has called us to be faithful!
    "Never compromise your convictions to gain something that obedience to God would never require you to sacrifice."
    You may lose popularity by standing for truth, but you do not lose your purpose.
    You may have to walk away from certain opportunities, but you never have to walk away from your integrity.
    You may stand alone in the eyes of people, but when you stand with God, you are never truly alone!
    Something to Think About...
    Take a moment today and examine your heart.
    • Have I become comfortable with something God's Word has convicted me about?
    • Am I making decisions based on God's approval or people's acceptance?
    • Have I allowed relationships, opportunities, or personal desires to weaken my obedience?
    • Am I willing to stand for Christ even when it costs me something?
    The question is not simply, "What am I willing to gain?" The greater question is, "What am I unwilling to compromise?"
    Prayer...
    Heavenly Father,
    We come before You today asking You to search our hearts, examine our motives, and strengthen our convictions.
    Lord, forgive us for the times we have compromised Your truth to satisfy our flesh, please others, or avoid uncomfortable situations.
    Forgive us for remaining silent when we should have stood firm, for making excuses when we should have obeyed, and for allowing the pressures of this world to influence our decisions.
    Father, give us the courage of Daniel, who purposed in his heart not to defile himself.
    Give us the boldness of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who refused to bow even when threatened by the fiery furnace.
    Help us to stand for righteousness without becoming self-righteous, to speak truth without abandoning love, and to remain faithful without becoming prideful.
    Lord, strengthen our marriages, families, ministries, relationships, and personal walks with You.
    Where compromise has weakened our convictions, restore us through repentance.
    Where temptation has clouded our judgment, renew our minds through Your Word.
    And where fear has caused us to remain silent, fill us with the courage to stand for what is right.
    Let our lives demonstrate that our commitment to You is greater than our desire for acceptance.
    May we never trade eternal truth for temporary satisfaction.
    Lord, help us to be believers who will not bow to pressure, bend to temptation, or break under opposition, but who will remain rooted, grounded, and steadfast in Your Word!
    In the mighty, matchless, and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray.
    AMEN!
    Final Encouragement...
    YOU CAN LIVE IN A COMPROMISING WORLD WITHOUT BECOMING A COMPROMISING CHRISTIAN!
    Daniel stood firm in Babylon.
    Joseph resisted temptation in Egypt.
    The three Hebrew boys refused to bow before the golden image.
    And Jesus remained obedient to the Father even unto death on the cross.
    So stand on God's Word! Guard your convictions! Protect your integrity! Remain faithful to your calling!
    Because what God has placed inside you is too valuable to surrender for temporary acceptance.
    DON'T COMPROMISE YOUR CONVICTIONS — YOUR FAITHFULNESS TO GOD IS WORTH MORE THAN THE APPROVAL OF THE WORLD!
    1 Corinthians 15:58 (KJV)
    “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.”
    DON'T COMPROMISE YOUR CONVICTIONS! What You Compromise to Keep Today May Cost You What God Has Prepared for Tomorrow! SCRIPTURE READING Daniel 1:8–16 (KJV) KEY SCRIPTURE Daniel 1:8 (KJV) “But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.” Thought Of The Day... When Compromise Becomes Comfortable, Conviction Becomes Optional! One of the greatest dangers facing believers today is not always persecution, opposition, or even temptation. Sometimes, the greatest danger is COMPROMISE! Compromise rarely begins with a major decision to walk away from God. It often begins with small adjustments to what we know is right. We start accepting what we once rejected. We become silent about what we once stood firmly against. We begin making excuses for behaviors that God's Word clearly tells us to avoid. And before we realize it, we have allowed the culture around us to influence the convictions within us. Church, we must understand that everything the world accepts is not something God approves! Romans 12:2 (KJV) declares: “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind…” The world wants us to conform, but God calls us to be transformed! 1. COMPROMISE BEGINS WHEN WE STOP GUARDING OUR HEARTS! Daniel was taken into Babylon, a place filled with foreign customs, false gods, and pressure to conform. He was surrounded by opportunities to abandon his convictions, but Daniel made a decision before the pressure came. The Bible says: “But Daniel purposed in his heart…” Daniel did not wait until temptation arrived to decide where he stood. He settled the matter in his heart! And that is where our victory must begin. We cannot wait until we are surrounded by temptation to decide whether we will obey God. If we do not establish our convictions before the test, we may surrender them during the test! Proverbs 4:23 (KJV) reminds us: “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” 2. COMPROMISE OFTEN PROMISES COMFORT BUT PRODUCES CONSEQUENCES! Sometimes we compromise because we want acceptance. We want to fit in. We want to avoid confrontation. We want to keep relationships. We want opportunities, promotions, recognition, or approval. But we must ask ourselves: What good is gaining the approval of people if it requires disobedience to God? Mark 8:36 (KJV) declares: “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” Consider Samson. Samson was a man blessed with extraordinary strength, yet he repeatedly placed himself in situations that threatened his calling. In Judges 16, his relationship with Delilah became part of his downfall. Samson's strength was great, but his failure to guard his calling left him vulnerable. Never allow temporary pleasure to jeopardize what God has entrusted to you! Some things may feel good to the flesh while weakening our spiritual lives. Everything that opens a door is not necessarily from God. And every opportunity is not worth the price of your obedience. 3. STANDING FOR GOD MAY COST YOU SOMETHING, BUT COMPROMISING CAN COST YOU MORE! Daniel could have justified eating the king's food. He could have said: "Everybody else is doing it." "I'm in Babylon now." "God understands my situation." "It's just a little compromise." But Daniel understood something powerful: Just because you are living in Babylon does not mean Babylon has to live in you! We live in a world where biblical convictions are often challenged. There will be times when standing for righteousness makes us unpopular. There will be times when obedience costs us relationships, opportunities, or acceptance. But we must never forget: It is better to stand with God and be rejected by people than to be accepted by people while walking in disobedience to God! Galatians 1:10 (KJV) says: “For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.” Our calling is not to please everybody. Our calling is to remain faithful to the One who saved us! 4. YOU CAN SHOW LOVE WITHOUT COMPROMISING TRUTH! Standing on God's Word does not give us permission to become arrogant, hateful, or judgmental. Jesus demonstrated both grace and truth.   • DAILY LIGHT DEVOTIONAL
    FRIDAY OCTOBER 9, 2026
    WHEN GOD MOVES, YOUR IDENTITY MUST MOVE
    Scriptural Anchors: 2 Corinthians 5:17; 1 Peter 2:9; Romans 8:14–17
    Prophetic Trajectory: From slave mentality, to sonship, to surrendered service, to full spiritual maturity.
    Memory Verse
    "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."— 2 Corinthians 5:17
    Supporting Scriptures
    Galatians 4:6–7 — "And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ."
    1 John 3:1–2 — "Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God... Beloved, now are we the sons of God..."
    Ephesians 4:13–15 — Moving past spiritual infancy into the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, speaking the truth in love to grow up into Him in all things.
    John 15:15 — The Master shifting His followers from mere servants into intimate friends who know the Father's heart and execute His counsel.
    Hebrews 5:12–14 — The sharp rebuke against those who linger on liquid milk when age and spiritual battle demand strong meat for fully matured senses.
    Colossians 1:12–13 — Giving thanks unto the Father who delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son.
    Opening Thought
    The greatest tragedy after a mighty visitation of God is an unchanged self-portrait. You cannot celebrate a royal rescue while walking through life dressed in the dirty rags of an orphan. Hell does not tremble because you received a temporary miracle; hell trembles only when you realize whose blood now runs in your spiritual veins. Too many believers treat Jesus like a cosmic bail bondsman who gets them out of trouble, yet they still crawl back into the dark corner of their old prison cell, begging for crumbs like a runaway slave. When God moves in power, your name changes, your family tree changes, and your authority shifts. If your feet have crossed the Red Sea but your inner mirror still reflects Pharaoh's property tag, you are openly spitting on the finished work of Calvary.
    Main Exposition
    Look squarely at the divine progression laid out in the New Testament. The gospel does not stop at clearing your criminal record in the courtroom of heaven. Forgiveness of sin is only the front door. The ultimate aim of the cross is the total remodeling of who you are: moving your soul out of the slave mentality, rooting you deep into sonship, leading you into holy service, and building you up into unshakeable spiritual maturity.
    First comes the total demolition of the slave mentality. In Romans 8:15, the apostle Paul cuts down our lingering religious cowardice: "For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father."
    A slave lives in constant dread of punishment. A slave only works to avoid the lash. A slave measures every day by whether the master is angry. Many church members live their entire lives in this exact, miserable rut. They pray only when terror strikes, fast only out of panic, and view the Almighty as an abusive taskmaster waiting for them to stumble. But when the Holy Ghost moves into a surrendered heart, He kills the spirit of fear! He does not give you a temporary visitor's pass to heaven; He plants the deep cry of Abba within your chest.
    This brings you into the reality of sonship. In Galatians 4:7, the Word declares that you are no longer a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Jesus Christ.
    Pause and let that reality crush your false humility. An heir does not sleep on the porch. A true son does not eat scrap meat thrown to the dogs behind the kitchen. A son carries the legal name, the family authority, and the full backing of his Father’s resources. When the devil approaches you with old whispers about your broken past, he is relying on you forgetting your legal adoption papers. He wants you to argue with him based on your personal performance. But a true son does not point to his own works; he points directly to the cross, to the empty tomb, and to the living Christ sitting at the right hand of majesty!
    Yet, the Christian life does not stop at enjoying the privileges of the Father’s table. Real sonship naturally produces holy, sacrificial service.
    Look at Jesus in John 13. He knew that the Father had given all things into His hands, and that He had come from God and went to God. Because He knew His royal identity, He did not demand a golden throne—He tied a towel around His waist, got down on His knees, and washed the dusty, dirty feet of His disciples. You can never truly serve God or your fellow man until your identity is settled in Christ. Insecure people use ministry to build their own names. Matured sons use their lives to lift up the name of the King. True service is sonship in work clothes.
    Finally, this growth produces spiritual maturity. The writer of Hebrews warned that it is an utter shame to remain on baby milk when the years demand that you handle the solid meat of the kingdom (Hebrews 5:12–14).
    A baby is ruled by its stomach, cries at every little discomfort, and breaks into pieces whenever things do not go its way. But a mature son has his senses trained by daily obedience to discern both good and evil. Mature believers do not run around chasing every wind of doctrine or panicking at every headline. They stand like solid pillars in the sanctuary of God, unmovable, anchored in the Word, bearing the burdens of the weak, and enforcing the victory of Christ over their homes and territories.
    Stop identifying yourself by the mud pit you were rescued from. Stop calling yourself a "broken, struggling sinner" when the King has declared you a royal priesthood, a holy nation, and a peculiar treasure (1 Peter 2:9). When God moved, the old you was buried with Christ. Rise up, step into the full stature of sonship, and let the world see the living Jesus reigning through your life.
    Scriptural Quotable Quotes
    "The cross did not make you a better version of your old self; it executed the old man and brought forth an entirely new creation."
    "A slave works for acceptance; a son works from acceptance; a mature disciple lives to display the Father's glory."
    "Satan has no weapon against a believer who has stopped negotiating from the fear of a slave and started standing in the authority of a son."
    "To wear the dirty clothes of your past after Christ has clothed you in His righteousness is to insult the blood that bought you."
    Ruthless Prophetic Prayer of Identity Shift
    (Rise to your feet, look up toward heaven, place your hand over your heart, and speak this with holy, unbending conviction)
    Sovereign God, Holy Father of my Lord Jesus Christ!
    I stand before Your throne today washed completely clean in the precious, eternal blood of the Lamb. I repent for every day I have lived like a spiritual beggar while holding the full inheritance of a son. I renounce the slave mentality, the fear of rejection, and the orphan spirit that has ruled my thoughts for years.
    In the mighty name of Jesus, I rip off every label the world, my past, and the devil ever placed on my back!
    I am not what my past says I am. I am not what my failures say I am. I am who the Word of God says I am! By the power of the Holy Ghost, I step completely out of fear and into holy sonship. I lay down childish ways, petty offenses, and spiritual weakness.
    Lord Jesus, tie the towel of service around my heart. Make me an instrument of Your righteousness, an ambassador of Your kingdom, and a pillar of fire in this dark generation. I choose to grow up into the full measure of Christ. I feed on Your Word, I submit to Your training, and I receive the solid meat of Your truth.
    From this hour forward, I walk in royal dignity, uncompromising purity, and unstoppable kingdom authority!
    In the matchless, triumphant, and reigning name of JESUS CHRIST,
    AMEN! AMEN! AND AMEN!
  • CHRIST PROMISES TO THE  OVERCOMERS.
    Revelation 3 Kullie Mawolo
    [vs: 5] He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
    There are two classes of people in the church, the wise and the foolish virgins, those who build their house on the rock and others who build theirs on the sand, the faithful and the unfaithful,the genuine and the hypocritical. The overcomers are those who  overcome  sin, the flesh, the world and Satan to the end of their life.There is sufficient grace and power from God for everyone who earnestly seeks him and desires to be an overcomer everyday.
    Christ gave warnings of judgement to the foolish, unfaithful, defeated, backsliders and disobedience if they refuse to repent but He gave promises of heaven and many glorious rewards to the overcomers.
    In this letter the overcomers are promised.
    1, white garment,(it's a symbol of rigtheousness, purity and victory)
  • *SEED FOR LIFE*
    This is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.
    • 1 John 5:4
    We must centre our hopes of heaven upon Christ alone because He is our Substitute and Surety... through faith in Christ, we may claim the righteousness of the Son of God as all-sufficient...     TOPIC: DEALING WITH MOUNTAINS
    AUTHOR: PASTOR E.A. ADEBOYE
    MEMORISE: Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it. Zechariah 4:7
    BIBLE READING: JOB 9:1-6 (KJV)
    1 Then Job answered and said,
    2 I know it is so of a truth: but how should man be just with God?
    3 If he will contend with him, he cannot answer him one of a thousand.
    4 He is wise in heart, and mighty in strength: who hath hardened himself against him, and hath prospered?
    5 Which removeth the mountains, and they know not: which overturneth them in his anger.
    6 Which shaketh the earth out of her place, and the pillars thereof tremble.
    MESSAGE:
    Several years ago, a highly-placed woman in society walked into my office one morning and claimed that God had told her I was her husband. I responded in shock, "How can God tell you that I'm your husband when I'm happily married and you are also married?" She kept insisting that I was her husband, and when I realised she would not leave me alone, I involved the police, and she was instructed to stop coming to Redemption City. However, she wasn't deterred. At one point, she threatened my wife that if she didn't allow her to marry me, she would kill her. One time, I travelled to London to prepare our Sunday School manual, and I didn't tell anyone about my trip because I wanted to work quietly. Surprisingly, as soon as I got to the house I was to stay at, the phone rang. When I picked up the phone, that same woman was on the line. She said, "Welcome. I have been waiting for you. I am at the next bus stop, and I will be with you in a few minutes." At that point, I threatened her that I would call the police, and they would be waiting for her if she came. After dropping the phone, I turned to God and said, "Father, You have to help me." He replied, "As long as you allow the mountain to stay, it will." At that point, I realised that I had been tolerating the devil like Paul did until he got tired and commanded an evil spirit to leave a girl in Acts 16:16-18. So, I said a simple prayer to God about the matter, and He saw to it that she never bothered me again. I pray that the Almighty God will deal with those who will not let you rest, in Jesus' name.
    Beloved, God can deal with any mountains in your path in different ways. He can give you the strength to climb and walk over them, or turn them into plains like He did for Zerubbabel in today's memory verse. Regardless of the method He decides to use, you must understand that as long as you are comfortable with a mountain in your life, it will stay put. However, the moment you rise in prayer to confront it, God will show up and reveal how to address the mountain to you. May God give you the grace to overcome any mountain in your path, in Jesus' name.
    PRAYER POINT:
    Dear Lord, please arise and deal with any mountain in my life, in Jesus'name.
    BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: MATTHEW 21 - 22
    HYMN 27: WHAT A FRIEND WE HAVE IN JESUS
    1. What a friend we have in Jesus,
    All our sins and griefs to bear;
    what a privilege to carry
    Ev'rything to God in prayer. Oh, what peace we often forfeit, Oh, what needless pain we bear- All because we do not carry Ev'rything to God in prayer.
    2. Have we trials and temptations? Is there trouble anywhere? We should never be discouraged, Take it to the Lord in prayer. Can we find a Friend so faithful Who will all our sorrows share? Jesus knows our ev'ry weakness,
    Take it to the Lord in prayer.
    3. Are we weak and heavy laden,
    Cumbered with a load of care?
    Precious Saviour, still our refuge, Take it to the Lord in prayer. Do thy friends despise, forsake thee? Take it to the Lord in prayer. In His arms He'll take and shield thee, Thou wilt find a solace there.
