LOST IN THE CHURCH: [GETTING LOST IN CHURCH] Part Seven Worshipping the Word of God/Scripture. The Word of God, together with the Church, are among the things given to us for the purpose of salvation, to bring people to God, although they themselves are not God. Therefore, I can say that the Word of God is like a signpost pointing us to where Christ is. When a person ends up building his life upon the Word of God without going to Jesus Christ, this becomes the foundation of one of the greatest deceptions of religious spirits and idolatry in the Church. If you read John chapter five, you will see how the Lord spoke to those who had fallen into this kind of deception: > “You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life.” John 5:39–40 Today, many people have ended up in religious institutions, while others have ended up in Scripture, yet they have never truly come to Jesus to receive life. Jesus did not come to establish any religion or bring a system of laws to the world; rather, He came to restore the RELATIONSHIP between humanity and God—the relationship that was lost in Eden. It is within this relationship that salvation and eternal life are found. > “And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.” John 17:3 A person can know all the Scriptures, from Genesis to Revelation, and may even teach them with great skill and accuracy, yet never have encountered or truly known the Lord. It may be easy for someone to explain things about the Lord based on what they have heard from other people. However, it is completely different to know the Lord personally. Jesus is the Way and the Life. There is no way for anyone to come to the Father except through Him. And when He says that He is the Way, many people picture a dusty road, a gravel road, or a paved road. But the Way He is talking about here is a Person. To know the way to heaven is to know a Person. And you cannot truly know Him without having a relationship with Him. > “Then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’” Matthew 7:23 It is entirely possible for someone to preach, teach the Word of God, cast out demons, and perform many works of the Kingdom, yet still not know the Lord—and likewise, not be known in Heaven. It is easy for a person to build a name for himself and become famous on earth, but it is very different to be known in Heaven. Many of the things we glorify on earth are often considered worthless before God. Therefore, it is possible for someone to be well-known in Heaven while having no name or recognition on earth. Glorifying the Word More Than the One Who Gave the Word There has been a very strange tendency among people to glorify the Word of God more than God Himself, who gave the Word. In this way, many people hold on to what God said yesterday against what He is saying today. For example, it is possible for God to say “Yes” yesterday concerning a particular matter and say “No” today, according to His will and timing. If we have not learned how to walk with the Lord, it is very easy to cling to a dead word, which undoubtedly becomes an idol. In this way, we have many churches today that have died because they continue holding on to a dead word. The Apostle Peter is one of the examples in Scripture of someone who almost made such a painful mistake. He resisted the Lord’s command concerning the animals, relying on the earlier word from the same God who had declared those animals unclean. However, by His great mercy, the Lord corrected Peter and told him: > “What God has cleansed you must not call common.” Acts 10:15 #ToBeContinued..! Mwl. Daily Bible Lesson. THE TEMPTATION OF JESUS — VICTORY WHERE ADAM FAILED Matthew 4:1–11 | Mark 1:12–13 | Luke 4:1–13 The temptation of Jesus was not merely a story about three conversations in the wilderness. It was a powerful revelation of how Satan attacks, how Christ responds, and how victory over temptation is possible. After Jesus was baptized, the Holy Spirit led Him into the wilderness, where He fasted for forty days and nights. Then Satan came to tempt Him. «“Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.” — Matthew 4:1» Notice something important: Jesus was not tempted because He had sinned. He was tempted because He was righteous. 1️⃣ THE FIRST TEMPTATION — “COMMAND THAT THESE STONES BE MADE BREAD” Jesus was hungry. Satan attacked Him at His weakest physical moment. «“If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.” — Matthew 4:3» Satan was essentially saying, “Use your power to satisfy yourself. Put your physical desire before obedience to God.” But Jesus answered: «“Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” — Matthew 4:4» The lesson is simple: Your greatest need is not always the thing your flesh is demanding. Food is important, but obedience to God is more important. Jesus did not allow hunger to become an excuse for disobedience. 2️⃣ THE SECOND TEMPTATION — “CAST THYSELF DOWN” Satan then took Jesus to the pinnacle of the temple and quoted Scripture. «“If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down.” — Matthew 4:6» Notice carefully: Satan quoted Scripture! This teaches us something extremely important: Not everyone who quotes the Bible is teaching the truth. The devil quoted Psalm 91, but he twisted its meaning to encourage Jesus to test God. Jesus answered: «“Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.” — Matthew 4:7» The lesson: Knowing Scripture is not enough. We must understand Scripture correctly and submit to its true meaning. The devil can use Bible words while promoting a message that contradicts God's will. 3️⃣ THE THIRD TEMPTATION — WORSHIP ME AND I WILL GIVE YOU THE KINGDOMS Satan showed Jesus the kingdoms of the world and offered them to Him. «“All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.” — Matthew 4:9» What was Satan asking for? Worship. Jesus answered with absolute firmness: «“Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.” — Matthew 4:10» Jesus would receive the kingdom—but not by compromising His loyalty to God. The lesson: Never exchange obedience to God for temporary success, popularity, money, power, pleasure, or worldly recognition. There are things Satan may offer that look attractive, but anything that requires disobedience to God is too expensive. JESUS WON WITH “IT IS WRITTEN” Look at Christ's weapon throughout the temptation: “It is written.” He did not answer Satan with human philosophy. He did not argue from emotion. He did not negotiate. He stood upon the Word of God. This is why Scripture says: «“Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.” — Psalm 119:11» If the Word of God is not in your heart, what will you stand upon when temptation comes? JESUS SUCCEEDED WHERE ADAM FAILED There is a beautiful contrast here. Adam was tempted in a perfect garden, surrounded by abundance—and he fell. Jesus was tempted in a barren wilderness, weakened by forty days of fasting—and He remained faithful. Adam listened to the serpent. Jesus answered the serpent with God's Word. Adam disobeyed God. Jesus obeyed God. Where Adam failed, Christ stood victorious. And Hebrews gives us this encouragement: «“For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.” — Hebrews 4:15» Jesus understands temptation—not because He surrendered to it, but because He faced it and overcame it without sin. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR US? Temptation itself is not sin. Giving in to temptation is sin. When temptation comes, remember: When your flesh says, “Satisfy yourself,” remember: “Man shall not live by bread alone.” When Satan twists Scripture, remember: “It is written.” When the world offers you success in exchange for compromise, remember: “Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God.” And when you feel weak, remember: «“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” — Philippians 4:13» The Christian life is not about pretending temptation does not exist. It is about learning to stand when temptation comes. Jesus did not overcome temptation by compromising with Satan. He overcame by trusting His Father, standing upon Scripture, and refusing to disobey. THE FINAL LESSON Satan can tempt you, but he cannot force you to sin. The choice remains before you. When temptation comes, don't negotiate with it. Don't entertain it. Don't twist Scripture to justify it. Stand on the Word. Trust God. Choose obedience. Because the same Christ who overcame in the wilderness is able to strengthen those who follow Him today. «“Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” — James 4:7» Jesus overcame. Jesus is our example. Jesus is our strength. And through Him, victory is possible. Amazing Love

Some people criticized her, but Jesus valued her sacrifice and declared that her act of devotion would be remembered wherever the Gospel was preached. Her action teaches us that genuine love for Christ is never wasted. What may appear insignificant to people can be precious in the sight of God. She did not perform the act to become famous. She simply loved Jesus and gave Him what was valuable to her. Yet her devotion became part of the Gospel story. Today, we are reminded that our lives should leave behind a legacy of faith, love, service, generosity, compassion, and devotion to Christ. 🔊*Prophetic Declaration:* Today, I declare that my life shall bring glory to God and become a blessing to generations after me. The things I do for Christ shall never be wasted. I declare that I will not live merely for temporary recognition or human applause. My greatest desire shall be to please God and faithfully fulfill the purpose for which He created me. Today, I receive grace to give my best to the Lord—my time, talents, resources, strength, knowledge, opportunities, and abilities. I shall not hold back what God has given me when He calls me to use it for His Kingdom. I declare that my family, ministry, work, business, studies, and relationships shall become platforms through which God's love and goodness are demonstrated. I proclaim that the Lord shall make my life fruitful and impactful. Through my words, actions, prayers, service, and generosity, lives shall be touched and people shall be encouraged to draw closer to Jesus Christ. Today, I reject selfishness, pride, bitterness, and the desire for unnecessary human approval. I choose to serve with a sincere heart, knowing that God sees every sacrifice made in love. I declare that every good seed I have planted in faith shall produce fruit according to God's perfect timing. Seeds of prayer shall produce testimonies. Seeds of kindness shall produce blessing. Seeds of service shall produce impact. Seeds of generosity shall bless others. I proclaim that my name and influence shall be associated with good works, godly character, compassion, integrity, and faithfulness—not for my own glory, but so that Christ may be glorified through my life. A Nugget of Truth. Every believer should desire more than success, recognition, or earthly achievements. The greatest reward is to stand before Christ and hear Him say, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant” (Matthew 25:21). That moment will not belong to those who simply knew about Jesus, but to those who trusted Him, remained faithful, and endured to the end. Our lives are temporary, but the choices we make for Christ have eternal significance. The apostle Paul finished his race with confidence because he had kept the faith, knowing that “there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness” (2 Timothy 4:7–8). Whatever trials, sacrifices, or temptations we face today are small compared to the joy of being welcomed into God's kingdom. Therefore, let every decision, every prayer, and every act of obedience be done with eternity in view, for “be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life” (Revelation 2:10).

TUESDAY MORNING PRAYER FOR OUR FAMILY! “But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” — Joshua 24:15 (KJV) Heavenly Father, in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we come before You on this Tuesday morning with grateful hearts. Thank You for waking us up and giving us another day that we did not earn but received because of Your grace and mercy. Your Word declares, “This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” — Psalm 118:24. Father, before we ask You for anything, we thank You for everything. Thank You for life. Thank You for strength. Thank You for our families. Thank You for keeping us through dangers seen and unseen. Thank You for the doors You opened, the doors You closed, and even the things You protected us from that we never knew were coming. Lord, as our families begin this Tuesday, go before us. Order our steps, direct our decisions, guard our hearts, protect our homes, and keep Your hand upon every member of our family. Your Word says, “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” — Proverbs 3:5–6. HEAL OUR FAMILY, LORD Father, this morning we bring before You every family member who is battling sickness—physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. You know every diagnosis. You know every symptom. You know every pain. You know every sleepless night. You know every private struggle. You know every burden that has become too difficult to explain to others. Father, touch them right now. Your Word declares, “Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved.” — Jeremiah 17:14. Lord, stretch forth Your healing hand. Where there is sickness, bring healing. Where there is pain, bring relief. Where there is weakness, bring strength. Where there is fear, bring faith. Where there is confusion, bring clarity. Where there is discouragement, restore hope. Where there are troubled minds, release Your supernatural peace. You promised in Isaiah 26:3, “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.” Father, guard the minds of our family members. Give peace to those overwhelmed by life's pressures. Strengthen those carrying emotional burdens in silence. Remind them that they are seen by You, loved by You, and never beyond the reach of Your hand. Your Word says, “He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.” — Psalm 147:3. So, Lord, heal, deliver, restore, and set free! We stand upon Psalm 107:20:“He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.” Send Your Word into every hospital room, rehabilitation center, doctor's office, nursing facility, and every home where healing is needed. Give physicians wisdom. Give nurses compassion. Give caregivers strength. Give families patience. And give those who are sick the courage to keep believing You one day at a time. SAVE OUR FAMILY, LORD Father, our greatest prayer is not simply that our family will be healthy, prosperous, or successful. Our greatest prayer is that our family will know Jesus Christ. We lift before You every family member who has not surrendered their life to Christ. Draw them by Your Spirit. Let somebody who has been running from You begin running toward You. Let somebody who has questioned You begin seeking You. Let somebody who has never prayed begin calling upon Your name. Let somebody ask the same question asked in Acts 16:30: “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” And let the answer ring clearly: “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.” — Acts 16:31. Father, let salvation come into our households! Your Word declares, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” — Romans 10:13. And Jesus declared, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” — John 14:6. Lord, let our children know Jesus. Let our grandchildren know Jesus. Let husbands and wives know Jesus. Let our brothers and sisters know Jesus. Let our extended families know Jesus. Break destructive generational patterns and establish a new spiritual legacy—a legacy of faith, prayer, worship, obedience, integrity, forgiveness, and love. May generations after us be able to say, “Our family served the Lord!” PROVIDE FOR OUR FAMILY, LORD Father, we lift every family member who is looking for employment. You know every application submitted, every résumé sent, every interview completed, and every person waiting for someone to call them back. Open the right doors. Give them favor with hiring managers and decision-makers. Lead them to positions where their gifts, abilities, and experience will be appreciated. For those already employed who need promotion, advancement, better opportunities, increased wages, raises, improved benefits, or greater financial stability, we ask You to make a way. Your Word declares, “For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge.” — Psalm 75:6–7. Bless the work of our hands, Lord. Let integrity speak for us. Let excellence distinguish us. Let favor surround us. And when You elevate us, keep us humble enough to remember Who opened the door. PROVIDE FOR THOSE STRUGGLING FINANCIALLY Father, we especially pray for family members facing financial pressure. Some are trying to stretch a paycheck. Some are worried about rent or mortgage payments. Some are facing medical bills. Some are dealing with debt. Some need groceries. Some are facing unexpected expenses. Some are working but still struggling to make ends meet. But today we stand upon Philippians 4:19: “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Father, You are our Source. Provide what our families need. Give us wisdom to manage what You provide. Teach us to be disciplined, generous, responsible, and faithful stewards. Give our families creative ideas, opportunities, strategies, and open doors. Where there has been lack, provide. Where there has been financial confusion, give wisdom. Where there has been debt, give us a plan and discipline. Where there has been financial fear, replace it with faith and responsible action. Lord, supply every need according to Your riches in glory by Christ Jesus. PROTECT OUR FAMILY THIS TUESDAY Father, as our family members leave their homes today, cover them. Protect those driving to work. Protect those traveling. Protect our children and grandchildren. Protect those working long hours. Protect those caring for loved ones. Protect those going to medical appointments. Protect our homes while we are away. Your Word declares, “For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.” — Psalm 91:11. Lord, keep us from accidents, danger, violence, and circumstances we cannot see coming. Bring everyone safely home. STRENGTHEN THE LOVE IN OUR FAMILY Father, help us to remember that before careers, money, possessions, accomplishments, titles, and recognition, our greatest responsibility is to love You and love one another. Jesus said, “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.” — Matthew 22:37. Lord, You come first. Before our plans—You. Before our ambitions—You. Before our possessions—You. Before everything else—You. And because we love You, teach us how to love one another. Your Word declares, “Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.” — 1 John 4:11. Heal broken relationships within our family. Remove bitterness. Destroy unforgiveness. Break down walls caused by pride. Help us apologize when we are wrong. Help us forgive when we have been hurt. Help us communicate with grace. Help us stop allowing small disagreements to create permanent separation. Let husbands and wives love one another. Let parents and children understand one another. Let brothers and sisters support one another. Let generations respect and learn from one another. Lord, make our families stronger, closer, healthier, and more Christ-centered. OUR TUESDAY FAMILY DECLARATION... This Tuesday morning, we declare: Our family belongs to God! We declare healing over our sick. We declare peace over troubled minds. We declare deliverance for those who are bound. We declare salvation for those who do not yet know Jesus. We declare employment for those seeking jobs. We declare favor and increase for those needing advancement. We declare provision for those struggling financially. We declare restoration over broken relationships. We declare protection over our homes and families. We declare love where there has been division. And above everything else, we declare: “But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” — Joshua 24:15. Father, we may not know everything this Tuesday will bring, but we know Who holds this Tuesday in His hands. Therefore, we trust You. Order our steps. Guard our hearts. Renew our minds. Strengthen our bodies. Provide for our needs. Protect our families. Save our loved ones. Restore our relationships. And let everything we say and do bring glory to Your name. We seal this prayer with Ephesians 3:20: “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.” We believe You can do it. We believe You are working even when we cannot see it. And we believe that the hand of God is upon our family! JAMES DOBSON ON PARENTING (3)" ‘…Bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.’ Ephesians 6:4 NIV WHEN ASKED, ‘How do you suggest parents handle their children’s activities on web sites like Facebook and Twitter?’ Dr. Dobson gave this advice: ‘Parents have to know what technology their kids are using. Sexting is a terrible thing. (‘Sexting’ is the new term for children exposing themselves to one another online, thinking they are safe because they are in the sanctuary of their own home.) Pornography is pervasive, and parents need to keep up with changes in technology and protect their kids. That’s a tough assignment, because kids are ahead of them. Parents often have extremely demanding careers and when they come home they have nothing left to give, so the culture will often take your kids to hell.’ One night a father and his daughter were out on a lake when their small boat was caught in a storm. As he rowed, Dad kept saying to his daughter, ‘Can you see the shore? Can you see the shore?’ After a terrifying hour the little girl pointed over her dad’s shoulder and said, ‘Yes, I see the light. Mum said if we were out after dark she would hang a light in the window.’ When they finally got home a tearful mother hugged her husband and daughter, and thanked God for their safe return. Looking at her, the little girl said, ‘Mum, you never had to worry. We steered by your light!’ Parent, your children are being caught in life’s storms. [17/08, 9:11 pm] Pastor Attah: *MEDITATIONS ON DAILY ⓂANNA* TUESDAY, 18TH AUGUST, 2026. *THIRSTING AFTER GOD* *TEXT:* PSALM 42:1-5. 1As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. 2 My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God? 3 My tears have been my meat day and night, while they continually say unto me, Where is thy God? 4 When I remember these things, I pour out my soul in me: for I had gone with the multitude, I went with them to the house of God, with the voice of joy and praise, with a multitude that kept holyday. 5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance. *Timeless Truth:*_"O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;"_ Psalm 63:1). *INTRODUCTION* When a man ceases to experience thirst, he is as good as dead. The same is true in the spiritual. In fact, one of the first experiences of a converted man is thirst for God and spiritual things. Spiritual thirst is a deep longing for God and His presence. Just as the body cannot survive without water, the soul cannot flourish without God. The psalmist expresses an intense desire for the living God despite the pain, tears, discouragement and difficult circumstances surrounding him. His experience teaches us that genuine faith does not mean the absence of trouble; rather, it means learning to seek God even in the midst of trouble. When everything else fails, God remains the only lasting satisfaction for the thirsty soul. *1. Thirsting After God Like a Hart* a. The psalmist declares, *“As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.”* A thirsty hart desperately seeks water because its survival depends upon it. Many are thirsty for wealth, pleasure, popularity, power and pride of life among others. The thirst makes them pay a heavy price to get what they are looking for. At times they pay the ultimate price. True thirst will always be demonstrated by desperate seeking for how to satisfy and quench the thirst. In the same vein, many commonly seek God's blessings without seeking for the God of the blessings. The psalmist case was different. *"So panteth my soul after thee"*. Who and what you are passionately and desperately seeking for is a reflection of the state of your heart. In the same manner, the believer should have an earnest and persistent longing for God. The psalmist does not merely desire God's gifts; he desires God Himself. b. His greatest hunger is to *“appear before God.”* He was thirsty to become closer to God. Jesus also echoed this when He said, *"seek ye first the kingdom of God and its righteousness"*. Our ultimate purpose for seeking God was to see His glory, be conformed to His image and be always ready for the kingdom of God. Jesus further assured that *"all other things shall be added unto you"*. The psalmist demonstrated his thirst for God when he decided, *"early will I seek thee...to see thy power and thy glory as I have seen thee in the sanctuary"* (Psalm 63:1,2). Our spiritual lives become weak when our desire for God is replaced by the pursuit of worldly pleasures, possessions, recognition or human approval. Genuine revival begins when the soul cries out for God's presence, His Word, His holiness and fellowship with Him. *Question* Is my desire for God as deep and urgent as the thirst of a hart for water? *2. Tearful Afflictions Giving Loss of Hope* a. Incidentally, the psalmist did not prioritize seeking for heavenly blessings above seeking for God just because everything was going well with him. In fact, the psalmist's circumstances have become so painful that his tears have been his food day and night. He was not finding it rosy in life at that time. One would have expected him, as many worshippers do today, to concentrate on seeking God for release from pains and troubles as priority. Worse still, people around him mockingly asked, directly and indirectly, *“Where is thy God?”.* His memories of former worship and joyful fellowship with God's people intensify his present sorrow. Yet that did not distract his affections towards God. b. At times, affliction can attack not only our circumstances, but also our emotions and confidence. Yet the psalmist's tears reveal that God's children may experience seasons of deep discouragement without being abandoned by God. His pain was real, but it did not have the final word. Even when circumstances seem to contradict God's promises, faith must continue to look toward Him. Seeking God and His righteousness, above all else, should not be diminished as a result of our pains, problems, persecutions and poverty among others. Whatever be our situations, the promises of God that *"all other blessings shall be added"* still stand as long as we keep seeking the face and the glory of God to be reflected in our lives above all else. We must have grace to be tougher than our tough challenges. It is our attitude and the content of our prayers in the time of distress and difficulties that reflect the genuineness of our love for God. Jesus Christ, while on the cross and under intense pains, was still consecrated to soulwinning and intercessory prayers for the sinners and the lost. The will of God and the glory of God was His priority. He has given us examples to follow. *Question* Am I consecrated to seek God and His glory as priority when affliction and tears surround me? *3. Trust in Abiding Grace with a Life of Holiness* When passing through tough times, we must maintain trust in God's abundant grace and continue to live the life that God approves. There is no challenge we pass through that God has not allowed and if God allowed it, then He will see us through as children. The act of faith is in mocking those challenges and still continues seeking the glory of God and heavenly readiness. We must learn how to feed our frustrations and fruitlessness with the word of hope and promises given by God. The psalmist speaks directly to his troubled soul: *“Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God.”* He refuses to surrender permanently to despair. Instead, he deliberately redirects his heart toward God. Trusting God's abiding grace means choosing hope when feelings say there is no hope. It also means continuing to live faithfully, before God while waiting for His intervention. A thirsty soul must not only seek God's presence, but also remain committed to a holy life. God's grace sustains us, restores our joy and enables us to praise Him even before our circumstances change. For a child of God, no bad situation is permanent, but temporary and for a moment. *"weeping may endure for the night, but joy cometh in the morning"*. *Question* Am I deliberately trusting God's abiding grace and maintaining a holy life even when my circumstances are discouraging? *Prayer Points* 1.Father, create within me an unquenchable thirst for Your presence and Your Word 🙏. 2.Lord, strengthen me when tears, afflictions and discouragement threaten my faith 🙏. 3.Father, make me tougher than my challenges and keep me on being engaged in Your service 🙏. 4.Lord, visit and help those brethren who are carrying heavy loads and sustain them by Your grace 🙏. *HYMN:* More of Jesus would I know *BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:* JOB 35-38. Hearts were filled with discouragement and thoughts of defeat. Then Winston Churchill's voice echoed over the radio. It inspired the nation and boosted morale among a people on the verge of giving up. On a spiritual level, believers find hope in God too, as they hear the voice that resonates through the pages of His Word. In moments of discouragement, Christians serve as a testimony to those who have never met God or heard His voice.* *David exemplifies this in our devotional text as he expresses acute hunger and "thirst for God, the living God". In his hopelessness, he recalled the exhilarating moments he had in God's house and presence. Reminiscences of the voice of joy and praise filled his soul. Awakened by the testimonies of God's faithfulness and the certainty of blessedness that flows from trust in God, he gladly addresses his soul and jerks back from the abyss of despondency.* *Are you troubled about any ugly situation or setback? Cheer up and look up! Here are gems and clues for you as a Christian pilgrim, who could, at times, be discouraged and cast down. Don't stay down. David didn't. He queried and counselled his soul. First is to know that neither discouragement nor despondency is a sign of weakness. Elijah is one biblical character who fits this description. After defeating the prophets of Baal, he received a death threat from Jezebel. His hope was shattered, and despondency set in. He wanted to die! The Lord did not rebuke him for his feelings but sent an angel to provide for his physical needs. In our times of discouragement, suicide is no option; it only leads to a more serious, endless and interminable suffering in hell. The present challenge or problem has not diminished God's love for us. He desires to lead us to a place of a renewed vision of His power!* *The time to exit the discouragement mode is now! Take the verifiable steps that effectively log you out, which include a deep, interminable longing for God. This is what Isaiah calls "waiting upon the Lord". Second, you will do well to consciously recall and delight in God's past acts of mercy, divine interventions, and faithfulness. Finally, you must deliberately seek the remedy of praise to uplift your downcast, crestfallen, and discouraged heart. Beloved, don't give in to despair! When you meet together, one will sing, another will teach, another will tell some special revelation God has given, one will speak in tongues, and another will interpret what is said. But everything that is done must strengthen all of you.33-“For God is not a God of disorder but of peace, as in all the meetings of God’s holy people.” Devotional message Yesterday, we saw the importance of embracing the uniqueness God has placed in each of us. Today, we discover that when we embrace our uniqueness and honour the contribution of others, we create room for divine order in the house of God. The Apostle Paul gives us a beautiful picture of how the body of Christ should function. One may lead in praise and worship, while others support with sincerity and purity of heart. Another may teach while others listen, learn, and take notes. Another may bring a prophetic revelation, while others listen carefully and examine it according to the Word of God. Others may serve through playing instruments, administration, hospitality, prayer, or other gifts. None of these functions should compete with another because every gift has a place in God's purpose. Competition creates confusion because people begin trying to occupy positions God never assigned to them. However, when we recognize that our different gifts complement one another, we begin to experience the beauty of God's design. The worshipper should not compete with the preacher. The preacher should not compete with the instrumentalist. The prophet should not compete with the teacher. The person serving behind the scenes should not feel inferior to the person standing before the congregation. Every genuine contribution matters when it is offered to God. Paul says, “But everything that is done must strengthen all of you.” This means our gifts are not primarily given for personal recognition; they are given for the edification of the body of Christ. When we honour one another's uniqueness, peace replaces competition, order replaces confusion, and cooperation replaces division. This creates an atmosphere where the Holy Spirit can work freely and the Church can fulfil her assignment effectively. God is not the author of confusion but of peace. Therefore, wherever there is constant competition, jealousy, disorder, and the desire to outshine others, we must examine our hearts and return to God's pattern. Child of God, you do not have to become another person to become valuable. Be faithful with what God has entrusted to you. Honour the grace upon others while developing the grace upon your own life. The body of Christ becomes stronger when every member functions according to the grace God has given them. Prayer Heavenly Father, thank You for the unique grace, gifts, talents, and abilities You have placed within each of us.Teach us to honour the gifts of others and faithfully steward what You have entrusted to us. Gideon defeated an overwhelming enemy, experienced an incredible victory, and became one of Israel’s most celebrated leaders. Recognition can become a trap. Influence can become identity. Even something connected to our faith can become an idol when it takes the place that belongs to God alone. The question is not simply, “Am I succeeding?” We also need to ask: Am I becoming more faithful?

𝐌𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞 ✍️ “𝘕𝘰 𝘨𝘪𝘧𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸𝘯— 𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘦 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘊𝘩𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘸𝘯.” We often compare ourselves with others—wishing we had their talent, their platform, their influence, or their opportunities. Yet comparison can make us overlook what God has already placed in our hands. Whether our gift seems impressive or ordinary, the question is not whether we have ability—but whether we are faithfully using what God has entrusted to us. Peter writes in 🕮 𝟏 𝐏𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝟒:𝟏𝟎, “𝘈𝘴 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘮𝘢𝘯 𝘩𝘢𝘵𝘩 𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘦𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘨𝘪𝘧𝘵, 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘴𝘰 𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘢𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳, 𝘢𝘴 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘧𝘰𝘭𝘥 𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘎𝘰𝘥.” Spiritual gifts are not trophies for personal recognition but expressions of God’s grace, entrusted to us for the service and strengthening of His people. Grace gives the gift—and grace calls us to use it faithfully. The word “𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘥” 𝘪mplies management, not ownership. Our gifts aren’t possessions; they’re meant to build each other up. Like a toolbox, value lies not in impressive tools but in purpose. A hammer can’t replace a screwdriver. Likewise, God equips each of us uniquely. We don’t need another’s gift to fulfill our calling—only faithfulness in stewarding with the gift God gave us. Scripture shows the body of Christ has many members, each with unique roles. “𝘏𝘢𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘨𝘪𝘧𝘵𝘴 𝘥𝘪𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘤𝘤𝘰𝘳𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘶𝘴, 𝘭𝘦𝘵 𝘶𝘴 𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮” (𝐑𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟏𝟐:𝟔). Different gifts don’t mean different worth. We are not all the same, but we are all called to serve. The danger isn’t just wasting gifts but using them selfishly. Without humility, ministry becomes pride’s stage. Scripture commands, “𝘥𝘰 𝘪𝘵 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘺, 𝘢𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘓𝘰𝘳𝘥, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘦𝘯” (𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟑:𝟐𝟑). Peter urges, “𝘐𝘧 𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘴, 𝘭𝘦𝘵 𝘪𝘵 𝘣𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘎𝘰𝘥’𝘴 𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺” (𝟏 𝐏𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝟒:𝟏𝟏). Don’t turn God’s gift into a platform; we serve not to be seen, but because we have been saved. Before calling us to serve, Christ served us first: “not to be ministered unto, but to minister” (𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝟏𝟎:𝟒𝟓). He humbled Himself, “𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘩 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘳𝘰𝘴𝘴” (𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟐:𝟕–𝟖). Through His death, burial, and resurrection, He secured our redemption (𝟏 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟏𝟓:𝟑–𝟒). Now, the risen Lord sends us as stewards—not to hoard grace, but to spread it. Christ gave Himself for us; now we give ourselves in service to Him. What has God placed in your hands that you have been overlooking, comparing, or withholding? Are you using His gift for His glory or your recognition? You don't need Christ merely to discover your gift—you need Him to surrender every gift to His service. The gift is God's. The opportunity is His. The glory must be His. Don't turn God's gift into your glory when He gave it to you for His ministry. 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫: Heavenly Father, thank You for the gifts and opportunities You have entrusted to us. Forgive us for comparing ourselves with others or seeking recognition through what You have given. Teach us to serve faithfully, humbly, and joyfully, using every gift for the blessing of others and the glory of Christ. In Jesus' Name. Amen. ‎🌍 24-HOUR CONTINUAL PRAYER — A CALL TO PRAY ‎ ‎Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, ‎ ‎I would like to share an idea that has been in my heart, and I invite you to prayerfully consider it. ‎ ‎What if believers from different cities, nations, and time zones came together in one united prayer chain—praying continually, 24 hours a day, every day? ‎ ‎The idea is simple: we would organize a group of committed Christians who each take responsibility for one specific hour of prayer. One person or group prays from 6:00–7:00 AM, another from 7:00–8:00 AM, another from 8:00–9:00 AM, and so on, until all 24 hours are covered. ‎ ‎As one person's hour ends, another person's hour begins. In this way, prayer continues without interruption, day and night. ‎ ‎Because we may have believers joining from different parts of the world, the prayer chain can continue across different time zones and nations. ‎ ‎🙏 One Topic. One Scripture. One United Prayer. ‎ ‎Each week, we would choose one important prayer topic and a set of Bible verses to meditate on and pray through. ‎ ‎Everyone, regardless of where they live, would pray around the same theme during their assigned hour. ‎ ‎Our prayer would not be about simply filling an hour. It would be a time to seek God sincerely—to worship Him, repent, intercede, stand on His Word, and cry out for His will to be done. ‎ ‎This would require commitment, faithfulness, and seriousness. ‎ ‎If you accept an hour, that hour becomes your responsibility before God. Even when you are tired, busy, or facing difficulties, we seek to keep our commitment and faithfully stand in prayer. ‎ ‎“Pray without ceasing.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:17 ‎ ‎“Watch and pray.” — Matthew 26:41 ‎ ‎“I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they will never be silent day or night.” — Isaiah 62:6 ‎ ‎This is not about creating a platform, gaining recognition, or building a large group. ‎ ‎It is simply a call for believers to unite before God in prayer. ‎ ‎Imagine Christians in different nations praying at different hours, yet all lifting up the same cry before the same God. ‎ ‎Different places. Different people. Different hours. But one Lord, one faith, one purpose, and one united prayer. ‎ ‎If this idea speaks to your heart, please don't respond quickly. Pray about it. Ask God whether He wants you to be part of it. ‎ ‎And if you feel led to participate, let us come together, agree on the first weekly prayer topic and Scriptures, and begin faithfully. ‎ ‎May this become a simple but powerful prayer altar that continues 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for the glory of God. ‎ ‎Let us pray.
