    TOPIC: THE GAINS OF GOD'S COVENANT I

    AUTHOR: PASTOR E.A ADEBOYE

    MEMORISE: "Keep therefore the words of this covenant, and do them, that ye may prosper in all that ye do." Deuteronomy 29:9

    BIBLE READING: DEUTERONOMY 28:1-14
    1 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:
    2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.
    3 Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.
    4 Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.
    5 Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store.
    6 Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.
    7 The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.
    8 The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
    9 The LORD shall establish thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, and walk in his ways.
    10 And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the LORD; and they shall be afraid of thee.
    11 And the LORD shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers to give thee.
    12 The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.
    13 And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:
    14 And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.

    MESSAGE:
    In Proverbs 31:1-9, one of the things King Lemuel's mother taught him was that there were certain things that kings should not do. She told him that kings should not give their strength to women, nor should they follow the ways that destroy kings, nor should they drink wine or strong drink. If a fellow does the things that kings shouldn't do, it is expected that such a person would either never become a king or would be dethroned if he or she is already a king.

    To fully enjoy the gains of any covenant with God, you must be ready to fulfil its terms and conditions by surrendering totally to Him and obeying all His instructions. Once you decide to serve God with all your life and do whatever He says, sooner or later, people will come to you and say, "Tell us your secret; how are you flourishing in every area of your life?!"

    Many people attribute the remarkable progress of RCCG to my academic background; however, they are unaware that we are reaping the benefits of the founder's covenant with God. God called the founder of the church, Pa Josiah Akindayomi, a man who never attended school, and told him that if he could meet certain conditions, He would establish a church through him that would spread around the world. God helped Pa Akindayomi, and before his death, he fulfilled all the conditions that God gave him. Today, the RCCG is present in over 195 nations worldwide.

    The church is where it is today because of God's covenant with my Father in the Lord. God cannot be mocked. Anyone who obeys the terms of His covenant will reap its gains. In today's memory verse, Moses told the Israelites that if they kept God's commandments, they would prosper in all that they did.

    Prosperity is a major gain that those who keep God's covenant will enjoy. Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob all enjoyed abundant prosperity as a result of God's covenant with Abraham. Father Abraham was described as a man who was blessed in all things (Genesis 24:1), Isaac was described as being very great (Genesis 26:13), and Jacob was described as a prosperous man (Genesis 30:43).

    Beloved, God has given His children all things to enjoy richly (1 Timothy 6:17). However, you must fulfil the terms and conditions of God's covenant with His children to truly enjoy prosperity in all areas of your life. May your life reflect the gains of God's covenant abundantly, in Jesus' name.

    KEY POINT:
    Anyone who obeys the terms of God's covenant wil reap its gains.

    BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: JEREMIAH 40-43

    HYMN 30: WHEN WE WALK WITH THE LORD
    1 When we walk with the Lord
    in the light of His word,
    what a glory He sheds on our way!
    While we do His good will, He abides with us still,
    and with all who will trust and obey.

    Refrain:
    Trust and obey, for there's no other way
    to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.

    2 Not a shadow can rise,
    Not a cloud in the skies,
    But His smiles quickly drives it away;
    Not a doubt nor a fear,
    Not a sigh nor a tear,
    Can abide while we trust and obey.

    3 Not a burden we bear,
    Not a sorrow we share,
    But our toil He doth richly Repay;
    Not a grief or a loss,
    Not a frown or a cross,
    But is blest if we trust and Obey.

    4 But we never can prove
    The delights of His love
    Until all on the altar we lay;
    For the favour He shows,
    For the joy He bestows,
    Are for them,
    Who will trust and obey.

    5 Then in fellowship sweet
    We will sit at His feet,
    Or we'll walk by His side
    In the way;
    What He says we will do,
    Where He sends we will go;
    Never fear, only trust and obey..

  • Daily devotion: Habakkuk 3:17-18

    “Even though the fig trees have no fruit and no grapes grow on the vines, even though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no corn, even though the sheep all die and the cattle stalls are empty, I will still be joyful and glad, because the LORD God is my saviour.”

    The one thing that no one can deny is that the human race is flailing under the oppression of pure evil. Never, in my lifetime, has the world been filled with so much anger, hatred and death. People are out of control. This current generation continues to mock God and the faithful. It also seems that nature itself turned its back on people. Fire and earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes, volcanic eruptions, drought and famine, pestilence. And I’m not even mentioning the events happening in space.

    The world is filled with godless people. You look at the news and see the devil in their eyes. They are not hiding anymore. These are similar to the days of Noah and it has been prophesied that, in endtimes, people will be selfish and arrogant, lovers of money and superficial appearances. They will mock our God and refuse to repent. They ask: “Where is this God of yours. Show me the scientific evidence of His existence.” Do they not understand that even THEY were CREATED by God. THEY are the evidence. Every single cell of all that lives on this planet, humans, animals, plants, has been made by God Himself. Our purpose on earth is to worship our Lord and to spread the gospel.

    As Christians we should not fear the things that are happening and the things that are still coming. We may live difficult lives, but still we need to rejoice in the Lord. It may seem impossible to praise God in times of anguish, but just look at what Habakkuk 3:19 says: “The Sovereign LORD gives me strength. He makes me sure-footed as a deer, and keeps me safe on the mountains.”

    God is within each one of us and we should look towards the future with joy and exaltation, for He is steadfast, He is almighty, He is the ONE God. He sees through the artificial smiles, He knows what troubles your heart and He will take care of you ALWAYS.

  • Community Outreach: Connecting with Compassion

    At Harvest Edge Missions Center, our weekly community outreach initiatives weave together connection and compassion, bringing us closer to one another and to those we seek to reach for Jesus. Under the leadership of Pastor Tom, alongside the energetic contributions of Pastor Deus and Brother Isaac, these outreach sessions go beyond mere giving; they are profound opportunities for relationship-building, sharing hope, and embodying Christ’s love in tangible ways.

    From distributing care packages to lending a helping hand at local events, every action is filled with excitement and purpose.

    Once a month, we gather for a meal that transforms into an unforgettable evening of laughter, storytelling, and spiritual growth. With Sister Grace and Sister Nancy guiding faith discussions and Brother Owen uplifting spirits with joyful praise, these gatherings create a true sense of belonging, strengthening our community bonds and igniting our passion for evangelism.

    Additionally, our door-to-door missions, led by Brother Reagan’s welcoming smiles, break down barriers as we share God’s message one home at a time. Each gathering enriches lives and enhances our mission: reaching people for Jesus through friendship and unwavering faith.

  • Morning friends. Sometimes you look in the mirror, and starring back is a smile that just knows. Nothing is more beautiful than a real smile that has struggled through tears. Some smiles come from easy days. Others were born in the valley, baptized in tears, and carried through storms by the grace of God. Psalm 30:5 says, “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” If you’re smiling today after everything you’ve walked through, don’t ever be ashamed of the tears that came before it. Those tears watered the ground where God grew your joy. Your scars are evidence you survived. Your smile is evidence God was faithful. A smile with a testimony shines brighter than a smile without a story. Maybe today your heart is still hurting. Bring it to Jesus. He knows how to turn broken hearts into beautiful testimonies. Come to Jesus. Bring Him your tears, and let Him give you a joy the world cannot take away. Enjoy. Y’all have a blessed day. Love ya. Pappy Flynn

  • WELCOME TO AUGUST - YOUR MONTH OF WISDOM AND DISCERNMENT

    Prophetic Blessings for The Calvary Ministry Family

    In the Name of Jesus Christ, I welcome you into the month of August 2026!

    This August, you will not walk in confusion. You will not fall into the trap of the enemy. By the wisdom of God, you will know what to do, when to do it, and how to do it.

    As it is written in **Proverbs 4:5 - *"Get wisdom, get understanding; do not forget my words or turn away from them,"***

    I decree over you:

    1. The Spirit of Wisdom rests upon you. In every decision — in your family, ministry, business, career, and academics — you will choose rightly. You will not learn by mistakes, you will learn by the Spirit.

    2. The Spirit of Discernment shall guard you. Your eyes will see beyond smiles, your ears will hear beyond words. Every hidden trap, every satanic deception, every wrong association is exposed and cut off from your life this month.

    3. You shall not forget the Word. In the moment you need direction, the Holy Ghost will bring the Word of God to your remembrance and it shall be a lamp to your feet and a light to your path.

    August will speak for you:
    Your mouth shall speak with wisdom that silences opposition.
    Your steps shall be ordered by God into honor and favor.
    What confused others will be made simple to you.

    Welcome to August — Your month of Divine Direction, Divine Protection, and Divine Elevation.

    You will end this month wiser, stronger, and higher, in Jesus' Mighty Name. Amen!

    Happy New Month from The Calvary Ministry.

    To the Light & To Perfection
